Five Pillars Of Anarrchism
The term anarchy originates from the union of the Greek word О¬ПЃП‡О®, meaning authority or
command , and the privative alpha, which expresses absence. Anarchism is the belief in the
abolition of all government and in the organization of society on a voluntary and cooperative basis
without recourse to force or compulsion. This belief is based on five main pillars: anti
authoritarianism, voluntarism, egalitarianism, mutualism and autonomism.
According to the anarchist thought, authority is to be rejected as illegitimate and the imposition of
power through force is untenable. Russian philosopher Mikhail Bakunin argued for the replacement
of the state by federations of self governing workplaces and communes (anti authoritarianism). As
written in his work God and State, The liberty of man consists solely in this, that he obeys the laws
of nature because he has himself recognized them as such, and not because they have been imposed
upon him externally by any foreign will whatsoever, human or divine, collective or individual .
Voluntarism is key as well. In an anarchist society, there is no fixed and constant authority, but a
continual exchange of mutual, temporary, and, above all, voluntary authority and subordination. ...

A utopia is literally a non place possessing perfect and most desirable qualities. Anarchismis a
utopia, a world in which all humans live in communion and solidarity is utopian, but believing in
utopias and aspire to reach them has been a motor of progress in history, not a sign of naivety.
Martin Luther King and Gandhi were utopians, just to mention a few. Nevertheless, amid various
difficulties, they managed to change the world for the better, even though their visions may not
have been fully realized. Anarchists are not naГЇve. They understand the challenges and
imperfections of their utopia, but also see the possibilities and potential it brings

Hamlet Loyalty Analysis
To be Loyal or not to be Loyal To be or not to be (127) is deciphered in Hamlet as whether or not
Hamlet wants to live or die, but adding (a) simple word(s) in the quote can change its meaning.
To be loyal or not to be loyal. Loyalty comes out of love; if you love someone you ll put them
before others. Being loyal,( no comma?) is staying with someone through all the hardships and
trials they face. Hamletwas very loyal to his father. He loved his father, and when his father died
Hamlet was miserable. Until the day, when his father s ghost appeared and revealed to Hamlet
that his father s death was caused by the most unnatural murder (57). His loyalty towards his
father caused him to seek revenge because he adored his father dearly. Even though people
showed fondness towards King Hamlet, there were some who lusted for what he had. King
Hamlet had everything he ever needed, but that didn t go over well with his vile brother, Claudius,
who wanted King Hamlet s fortune, crown, and wife. Claudius is a prime example of lacking
loyalty. Claudius pleasure and jealousy caused him to murder his brother. Familyshould be loyal to
each other; Claudius was I m not saying that you can t argue with them, but you should never
betray them. Not only did Claudius display lack of loyalty but Hamlet did as well. Hamlet didn t
believe that he should show loyalty towards the villain who murdered his beloved father. Hamlet
wouldn t listen to Claudius when he told Hamlet to remain in Denmark instead of going back to
Wittenberg. Hamlet wasn t loyal to the king but that doesn t mean he wasn t loyal to the queen. He
loved his motherbut he didn t know why she had to marry so quickly after his father s death or
why she married his uncle, but through those hard times he still loved and obeyed her. When he
saw the emotional distressed woman begging him to Let not thy mother lose her prayers, Hamlet:
I pray thee, stay with us; go not to Wittenberg (29). Hamlet had every reason to go back to
Wittenberg his father was gone, his mischievous uncle was now married to his mother, and no one
understood the grief he was going through. Even though it was difficult, he remained in Denmark
because he was loyal to his mother. His mother

grown, I decided to go back to school and train for a career, not just a job. What made you decide
to become a CMA? As I stated before, after years of working in a factory setting, I was looking
for a career that challenged me. I have always been interested in the medical field, but wasn t
ready for the commitment of nursing school and college, so I decided to try to become a
medical assistant. I am more than happy that this is the career path I chose. My hours are great

God Vs Atheism Argument
The video, God vs. Atheism: Which is more rational, doesn t make sense to me. It starts by
saying faith s a belief in God, but towards the end it says God doesn t require faith. If Faith is a
belief in God, how does God not require faith? It says Atheism requires faith but Atheists don t
believe in God. How would Atheists have a belief in God, Faith? It says faith and reason are
opposites which I agree with but I feel God has to do with faith and Atheists think they are being
reasonable because they feel science has proved God impossible, but just like the video said, the
belief in God is far more rational than Atheism. Logic can show there s a God. Nothing can come
from nothing. Things move and we know something must cause that movement. Catholics believe
God is the unmoved mover. Just because you... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In this, it says things don t happen by chance and most natural things lack knowledge. There are
four ways atheists go at explaining this It had to be this way, it s only a coincidence, it just
happened to be this way, and winning the cosmic lottery, but it s easy to prove this wrong
because our proof states nothing happens by chance and these examples would all be chance.
To say something happened by luck or chance honestly just sounds uneducated to me. This being
said, the scenario that best goes with our proof is You are at a coffee shop after class discussing
the Big Bang Theory for an upcoming test and another student asks: If the Big Bang caused the
universe, why would Christians believe in a God causing the universe? Moreover, if God
caused it, who/what caused God? Belief in God is reasonable. The Atheists don t think God s
realistic because Catholic believe God was the beginning, the one who created everything, but
science says the Big Bang was. Atheists also feel someone had to have created God. The world s

Markup Language is a Program Used During Web Design
A Markup Language or ML can be defined as the programming language that is used during web
design or development to create or build a website. (Kyrnin, J. 2 December 2011, What are
Markup Languages?). In the INFO101 course here at Victoria University of Wellington we are
required to familiarise ourselves with two specific markup languages: Hyper Text Markup
Language (HTML) and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). (School of Information Management,
VUW, March 2014, Part One Introduction to HTML and Basic Formatting). It is also important to
note that there are many different variations of markup languages in operation. Additional ones
worth mention include: Extensible Markup Language (XML), Standard Generalised Markup
Language (SGML) and Extensible Hyper Text Markup Language (XHTML). (Kyrnin, J. 2
December 2011, What are Markup Languages?). I will focus primarily on HTML, as it is the
central focus of our first workshop assignment. In a nutshell, a markup language annotates text so
as to allow the computer to manipulate that text. (Kyrnin, J. 2 December 2011, What are Markup
Languages?). This process is achieved via the use of sets of tags or elements (which are essentially
distinct arrangements of characters). Tags can be implanted in digital text to provide supplementary
information about the text in order to facilitate automated processing of it; this may include
formatting and editing for display or even printing. (The Linux Information Project, 13 December

Essay Comparing The Parable Of The Old Man And The Young
There were similarities as well as differences found in the two works Abraham and Isaac and The
Parable of the Young and the Old . One similarity is the objects that Abram brought with him. In
both works, Abram is said to have brought fire and knife with him. Also, in both works, Isaac asks
the same question. As they arrive near the sacrificial place, Isaacasks where the lamb for the
sacrifice is. In both works, Abram bounds his son and is about to slay him when an angel speaks
out. Finally, in both stories, a ram is offered from the angel instead of Isaac. However, there are
several key differences that separate these two seemingly similar works.
The most major difference is the connotation of The Parable of the Old Man and the Young . The
entire story is a metaphor for war, as can be seen in many lines. ... Show more content on

The belts and straps that Abram used, as well as parapets and trenches, were used in World War
I. The angel calling out to Abram was not an actual angel, but that of the population s plea for
peace. The angel offered the Ram of Pride, which represented pure nationalism and pride in one s
country. When Abram killed his son, he ended up killing half the seed of Europe, and perhaps
half the seed of Europe was killed in World War I. After all, if someone is killed, their
descendants will never be able to live. Even looking just at the literal meaning, there are several
key differences. In Abraham and Isaac, God is shown tempting Abraham and telling him to go to
Moriah and offer Isaac as a sacrifice. However, in The Parable of the Old Man and the Young , the
setting starts with Abram and Isaac on their journey. Also, in

Analysis Of Nat Turner
Reading Nat Turner, Kyle Baker gives a sense of how Turner life was when he was a boy living
in his village all the way up to his death. In the beginning of the book, Baker focuses on a woman
and how her facial emotions changed quickly, from angry, happy and then scared (12,13). The
author is showing how quick your life can change. You are living with fun and games, but then you
are running into the forest to save yourself.
Given that, in chapter 2 there is an elder man sneaking off in the middle of the night to bang on
his drum for his entertainment in his life, but not allowing the white folks to find his instrument
(63). Then on page 64 the white folks hear him and find him and in a matter of seconds what use
to make him happy was taken away and the elder was hung from his hands and whipped for his
actions. Here comes Nat Turner wanting to have education in his life, but he was being rejected
by the people that could help him (71). So what could have made Turner happy in successful for
his future was taken away when the door was slammed in his face. Little later in the chapter he
always he would be with his mom and dad every night (76). Then one random day the slave
owner of the Turner decided to sell them off (99), and now his family is broken apart and unsure
of the next time they may see each other again. Even though education was rejected to Turner he
still found a way to learn how to read and write (86). So this helped him regain something that he

American Schools Failing Essay
How America s Schools Are Failing America s once revered schools are no longer the greatest in
the world. This may seem unbelievable to most, but the truth is, America no longer leads the world
in education. Schools are shutting down at an alarming rate, and it is easy to see why when one
looks at some of the many flaws in our educational system today. Upon examining the schools of
America, one can find a plethora of issues within the system. This is proved time and again when
students graduate high schoolunprepared for college, a lack of exposure to different cultures, and
without basic life skills. Students are breezing through the years of high schooland receiving a rude
awakening when they graduate. The four short years of high school have an enormous affect on
the next forty. So many things such as GPA, ACT scores, clubs etc. can mean the difference in
thousands of dollars of debt from student loans or a free ride to college. The failure to prepare in
high school directly impacts the future of America s students. Some may say that America in all
her greatness cannot possibly be failing its students. Yes, America is a wonderful country and a
land of opportunity; however, the truth is our nation is ranked just 36th in the world compared to

After the stock market crash, known as Black Tuesday, in 1929, people panicked. As too much
money was withdrawn from banks and they closed, people lost all their money. America, which
was just in the Roaring Twenties , fell into the Great Depression. Suddenly, people were laid off
their jobs, couldn t buy things they had once not thought twice about, and struggled to afford food
for their families. People lost their homes, and teenagers lived on the streets. Farmers were in
debt, losing their farms, and had to deal with the Dust Bowl. The president at the time, Herbert
Hoover, decided that the country would pull out of the Depression on their own. Since the citizens

The Types Of Unprotected Speech
1.Discuss and explain three types of unprotected speech.
Unprotected discourse implies discourse that is subjected to directions issued by the administration.
It implies discourse that is totally precluded subject to legislative directions. Unprotected Speech:
can be arranged into vulgarity, words that beg to be defended, deceitful deception, backing of fast
approaching rebellious conduct, and slander. Dangers are additionally regarded as unprotected
discourse since they constitute terrorizing.
Words that need defending. Words that beg to be defended are a tight class of unprotected
discourse that are characterized as words talked in an eye to eye trade, for example, individual put
down or designations which by their extremely expression are probably going to bring about the
individual to whom they are tended to react with viciousness coordinated at the speaker. Words that
need defending must be abuse by and by coordinated at the individual they are tended to and not
political proclamations that the listener finds profoundly hostile to his or her convictions.
Subsequently, it is important to recognize provocative political discourse that is completely ensured
and unprotected words that beg to be defended.

Elements Of A Short Story
Short stories can be bland and boring. As you read some of them, you can feel emotion or just read
a boring story about how something changed their life, but these three stories are interesting
because they develop horror. These short stories use different elements to create horror. The Tell
Tale Heart, A Rose for Emily, , and The Lottery develop horror/gothic elements.
First, The Tell Tale Heart develops horror by having an unreliable crazy narrator. For example, we
see his psyche in the introduction of Edgar Allan Poe s short story. I heard all things in the heaven
and earth. I heard many things in hell. How, then, am I mad? (par. 1). This gives the audience the
insight into the narrator s mind; therefore, the narrator has some sort of schizophrenia that causes
him to not hear, think, or behave correctly. As the narrator talks to the reader he thinks he is not
crazy and that his thoughts are normal. Next, the short story is written in first person point of
view which makes the story way more interesting and you see how mad this character is. I grew
furious as I gazed upon it (par. 9). In first person point of view the reader can almost imagine the
whole situation as the narrator is in the old man s room looking at his vulture eye. Plus, the narrator
killing the old man was premeditated, and that the narrator was in the man s house to murder him
due to his mental health issues. The psycho narrator in The Tell Tale Heart develops horror in this
short story.

A Report On Osaka Prefecture
Osaka prefecture is located off the coastline of a secluded bay on the eastern central portion of
the Japanese archipelago. It has a population of roughly 8.8 million people. Osaka used to have
the second highes population of Japan but has recently dropped to third next to Tokyo and
Kanagawa. It is home of several man made islands, one of which is Kansai Inrenational Airport,
and several other off coast architectural miracles of modern day ingenuity. Osaka is a beautiful
place to live and is also one of the safest places to live in the world as far as crime and pollution
are concerned. On the extreme other hand it is THE most dangerous place to be in the world
when it comes to natural disasters. The entire Japanes Archipelago is riddled with volcanoes and
subject to earthquakes that occur daily due to the fact that it is located on the subduction zone of
the Pacific, North American and Eurasion tectonic plates and is also one of the hottest spots on
the ring of fire . It is also home to the Tsunamis that follow periodically after especially strong
earthquakes occur. These disasters bring forth coastal erosion, landslides and potential coastal
flooding that would seem to be devastating to the population of Japan and especially of Osaka,
being secluded in its own private bay area and surrounded by mountains on all other sides. On the

Thomas level of Managerial Hubris
Thomas Farrow had hubris problem long before he built up the Farrow bank. He was very vocal

The employees would have had a better understanding of what they were supposed to do there
are three tips to follow when setting up an ethical business culture, the first would be to make
your expectations clear by training them in ethical business, include everything in the
handbook, enforce the policies by making sure that any type of breach of policy is punished,
and finally make sure you follow the same culture at all times do not ask your employees to do
something you are not willing to do. Following these rules would have definitely changed the
outcome of the Farrow bank. It would have given the employees rules and an actual plan of what
you expect from them. There would also have to be a reliable set of checks and balances so that
no one person has too much access to the money so that there is a money trail. Finally, there
would be no main members of the board running the day to day routines of the business. If
Thomas Farrow had been more interested in the business, hired actual qualified people, and built
an actual business culture Farrow Bank would never had any issues, but instead he allowed his
Hubris to get the better of him, so that he thought he was above everyone else, and could do no

What Are The Advantages Of Swarm Robotics
ADVANCES IN SWARM ROBOTICS AND THE STABILITY OF A SWARM
Sudhansh Aggarwal

INTRODUCTION
Swarm robotics is the new approach to the coordination of multi robot systems that consists of
many relatively smaller robots. The inspiration of this is the social behaviour of many animals and
insects like ants, geese etc. the terms Swarm Intelligence refers to the collective behaviour that is
the outcome of the work of the smaller individuals, each acting autonomously. Swarm intelligence
is a property of systems of non intelligent exhibiting a collectively intelligent behaviour.
Since the 1980 s, swarm robotics has become a major area of research. As new solution approaches
are being developed and validated, it is often possible to realize the advantages of swarm robotic
systems.

Assigning tasks to the member robots of the swarm to do the task productively and efficiently and

Punk Rock And Punk Music
In the 70s and 80s punk music emerged. It was a style that was derived from rock music, and
similarly to rock, it defied hierarchies. However, punk rock defied hierarchies in a more extremist
level than how rock did it, it promoted anarchy, which means that it was against any type of
government (Davies 1 2), Most people can probably recognize the Sex Pistols, the Clash, and
the Ramones, as the most popular bands. The Sex Pistols only lasted three years as a band and
recorded only one album, but they are the ones that caused a bigger impact, since they were the
personification of punk rock. For example, the Sex Pistols protested against the Queen of
England in many of their songs. In the 90s punk evolved into other styles, such as alternative and
grunge, that still hold liberal ideals but not as extremist as punk rock. In the 00s and present
society musicians still use their music as a way of protest of towards authority, voicing and
uniting the oppressed. But even though they do support similar ideals, they don t express them at
with the same aggressiveness and extremism that punk rock possessed. There have been many
other movements in addition to the ones I have mentioned, one of the most recent ones took place
in Egypt. Mark LeVine, author of Music and the Aura of Revolution , informs us that [t]unisian

is a protein with its molecules curled up into a ball shape. All enzymes have an active site. This is
where another molecule(s) can bind with the enzyme. This molecule is known as the substrate.
When the substrate binds with the enzyme, a product is produced. Enzymes are specific to their
substrate, because the shape of their active site will only fit the shape of their substrate. It is said
that the substrate is complimentary to their substrate.
When the substrate binds with the enzyme, it forms an enzyme substrate complex. The ... Show

However, temperature difference can affect the experiment. To prevent this, I will conduct the
experiment at the same time of day if more than one day is needed. This is because it is generally
colder in the mornings and evening than the afternoon.
Also, I will hold the test tube by the tip. If I were to grab the test tube with my whole hand, my
body heat would be passed onto the test tube causing a temperature increase. Therefore, not creating
a reliable set of results.
pH Enzymes also have an optimum pH level. The pH of a solution affects the enzyme s
secondary and tertiary structures. These bonds make the shape of an enzyme s active site. So, if
these bonds are broken, the shape of the active site changes and is distorted. If there is no active
site, there is no reaction resulting in no products. If the enzyme is put in a pH that is very different
from the optimum pH, it can cause the enzyme to denature.
Most enzymes have an optimum pH of around 7, which is fairly neutral. To ensure the experiment
is a fair test, I will use the same pH of hydrogen peroxide in every test.
Inhibitors As mentioned earlier, enzymes have an active site specific to the substrate molecules.
However, it is possible for other molecules similar to enzyme s substrate to bind with the enzyme s
active site and therefore, inhibit the enzyme s task.
When the inhibitor binds with the enzyme s active site for a short space of time it is known as
competitive inhibition because it is

Canada s North and Aboriginal Popluation
Canada s North is often seen as the country s national identity. In actuality, it stems far beyond the
isolated land of picturesque vistas used to often describe Canada s rugged landscape. The lived
Canadian environment reflects a regional perspective that does not encompass the true reality of the
country as a whole. The North links the diversity of Indigenous peoples to the land they have
occupied for centuries, a place where they have built their own distinct culture, language and
identity. Those ideals have been increasingly challenged in the twenty first century, in spite of the
imagined sense of Canadianness in the North but because of the transitioning economy and
environment in the North. This paper will explore the challenges facing Canadas northern resource
economy and the socio cultural implications on the regions Aboriginal population.
Historically, the national psyche of the Territorial North uses the region to define the country to
citizens and the world, with 80% of Canadians linking their national identity to the North (Cric
Papers 4). Canadians have come to see the North as an idea, not [a] location; a myth, a promise, a
destiny (Francis 152). The North serves as a land of imagination and a physical challenge for
adventurers, epitomizing the North as a romanticized region (Francis 154) which links the
landscape and environment to an imagined sense of Canadian culture and identity. Beyond the
depths of the imagined North lie three very distinct

A Rhetorical Analysis of Editorial, The Effects of Violence in Children s Cartoons
Claim: That children s cartoons today are too violent and that these cartoons are greatly affecting
their behaviors growing up. That violence is a learned behavior and therefore children that view
violence can become violent themselves. The purpose of the argument is to raise the awareness
about cartoon violence and come up with some solutions to lessen its negative impact on the
children that are watching them. The primary target audiences of this argument are those that have
the most direct contact with children, mainly their parents and teachers. Faced with the increasing ...

Invasives Vs Non-Invasives
Invasives versus non invasives: Not all alien species are invasive. Many, such as honeybees, may
be considered beneficial to the environment and the economy. If a species hasn t had any record of
introduction to new habitats, it is nearly impossible to tell whether it will be dangerous or not. The
cane toad was introduced to Australia under the mistaken impression that it would only eat the
insects they hoped it would. Garlic mustard was introduced as an herb. The best practice is to
simply import as few new non native species as possible. This also includes tightening all pathways
of introduction to prevent new introductions. Community outreach: A website will be created by

Abu Ghraib Human Rights Violations
In our ever transparent world where our actions as a nation are continuously scrutinized, it is
exceptionally important that we begin to strengthen our group mentality when it comes to
international relations. As a powerful and resourceful nation, we have a lot to offer the international
community. Instead of embarking on our own humanitarian missions, we could be more effective
by strengthening institutions like the United Nations or the International Monetary Fund. The
United Statesseems to particularly enjoy acting from a position of perceived moral superiority; even
after the egregious human rights violations that took place at Abu Ghraib (Walt, S, 2011). The
United States has also refused to sign a human rights treaty since 2002, despite condemning other

Our involvement in Iraq led to the death of over 100,000 people including innocent civilians
following the invasion and occupation of Iraq (Walt, S, 2011). Similarly, the arming of
Nicaraguan Contra rebels during the Reagan administration is a clear example of how American
Exceptionalism led to unnecessary foreign entanglement (Myre, G, 2014). The US supplied
rebels with weapons to fight the leftist Sandinista and over 30,000 people were killed with neither
side coming out on top (Myre, G, 2014). It was later discovered that the Reagan administration
had sold weapons to Iran and given the proceeds to the Contras against congressional law (Myre,

significantly better. Granting that hindsight is 20/20, it is a fair conclusion to say that had the US
not been so hasty to solve the problem singlehandedly and involved more likeminded institutions or

The Between Justice And Revenge
How often have you seen a film, show, or book have a protagonist who was wronged, then goes
on a rampage claiming that they were seeking justice? The main character claims to seek justice
when all they are doing is trying to claim revenge. Revenge and justice are two words of
completely different meanings and yet are constantly confused for each other. A common question
that is asked by people these days is what is the difference between justiceand revenge ? There are
many aspects besides the definition of the words that show how different they are, however the
strongest answers come from inside a person. In order to find an answer to this question we must
look at how each of these words affect people who could be involved. When it comes to people that
are looking to gainjustice or revenge a big factor that tells what they are looking at a person s state
of mind. A person who is looking for revenge then they will have an irrational state of mind,
while a person seeking justice will keep a rational state. However in these irrational states it is
common for a person to called their revenge driven actions justice in hopes of making their
actions seem right to the public. Revenge is a creature born from emotions, these emotions
become so powerful that they cover all your senses and cause you to act irrationally. In Seltzer s

desire for bloodshed. As perverse as

been constructed into what it is now. Each of its bylaws holds a crucial piece of the importance of
this country s rules. Located in Section 1, Article 8; are the rules on war, an immensely important
topic. According to the constitution, only Congress holds the power to declare war. During the
course of 230 years, The United Stateshas declared a total of only five wars; The War of 1812, the
Mexican American War, the Spanish American War, World War I, and World War II. There are
other wars in which Congress authorized, but did not declare. Most Congressionally authorized, but
non declared wars happened after the 1950 s. Some of these wars include; the Vietnam Conflict, the

Divinities In Ancient Egypt

influenced the lives of its adherents. The primeval Northeastern Africans created a diverse set of
divinities and deities to fill the gaps that existed in their knowledge. Such queries as, Where do the
sun and moon go when they are absent in the sky? or, What occurs after death? are unequivocally
answered by the gods that ancient Egyptproduced. By developing the goddess Nut and the gods
Anubis, Osiris, Ma at, and Ammit, these questions were correctly answered to the ancient
Egyptians. Any questions of life that posed Egyptians would be responded with a divinity that

Summary Of Friedrich Nietzsche s Beyond Good And Evil
Friedrich Nietzsche was born in 1844 and died in 1900. He was born in Rocken, Prussia, attended
Lutheran boarding school in Pforta, and graduated in 1864. He enrolled in the university of Bonn to
study theology and soon after changing his views on religion and becoming an atheist, he
transferred to the University Leipzigto study classical philology. He was known for his many
important works in philology and became a professor at Basel in 1869. Nietzsche saw society as
will to power. His model of reality was materialism. He believed in human law and therefore
believed that the weak created natural law to benefit themselves because they were unable to
defend themselves. Martin Luther King Jr. was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1929 and died in 1968.
He attended college at Morehouse collegeand soon wanted to become a Baptist minister like his
father. Shortly after graduating from college in 1948 he attended a seminary at Chester,
Pennsylvania and then received his bachelor of divinity degree in 1955. While King worked on his
doctoral degree he became a Baptist minister and became very involved in the civil rights
movement. King wrote Letter from Birmingham Jailwhile confined in Birmingham jail for leading a
demonstration protesting segregation. King believed that everyone was created equal and that our
laws should reflect our equal rights. He believed in the transcendence model of reality.

The video began with me asking the examinee several rapport building questions. For example, I

important to build report with the examinee because he child is likely to be apprehensive before an

Evaluating The Performance Of Organic Solar Cell ( Osc )...
The main and most important index of evaluating the performance of organic solar cell (OSC) is
the power conversion efficiency (PCE), О·. It is based on three other parameters, they are open
circuit voltage Voc, short circuit current density Jsc, and fill factor FF.
The power conversion efficiency is evaluated with respect to standard reporting conditions (SRC)
defined by temperature, spectral irradiance, and total irradiance. 23 The SRC for rating the
performance of terrestrial PV cells are the following: 1000 Wв€™m 2 irradiance, AM 1.5 (AM: air
mass) global reference spectrum, and 25 В°C cell temperature. 24 28 The PCE (О·) of a PV cell is
given as30
Where Pmax is the measured peak power of the cell, A is the effective device area, and Etot is the
total incident irradiance. For equation (1) to give a unique efficiency, Etot must be given with
respect to a reference spectral irradiance. The current reference spectrum adopted by the
international terrestrial photovoltaics community is given in international electrotechnical
commission (IEC) Standard 60904 3 and American society for testing and materials (ASTM)
Standard G173.28, 29
As a simplification of equation (1), PCE can also be calculated by the following equation,
О·=(V_ocГ—J_scГ—FF)/P_in (2) of whichпјЊVoc represent for open circuit voltage, Jsc means
short circuit current density, and FF means fill factor. Pin is the input energy, typically radiated by

Iron Synthesis Essay
In the beginning of every cross country season, my coach stressed the importance that all the
female runners must take one iron pill a day. I never gave in to this because he never gave us an
explanation, so I saw this as merely a mental booster rather than actual improvement present in my
body. After doing some research, I found out that ironis an essential nutrient used by the human
body for to transport oxygen and produce energy. Iron is present in every single cell of the body
and carries oxygen from the lungs to the tissue in the form of hemoglobin, which is the oxygen
transport protein in red blood cells. Lack of iron results in both fatigue and weakness, which is
definitely harmful to a cross country runner. Iron deficiency affects women about 8 10 times more
than men, which is why it is crucial for women runners to watch their iron levels (Sinclair,
Hinton). If iron deficiency worsens, it can lead to anemia. Anemia is when you do not have
enough red blood cells, and as a result, less hemoglobin. If a cross country runner has anemia, it can
affect their whole season because they are exerting energy without the sufficient amount of oxygen
needed to complete each run or workout. The article by... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Fighting for Our Lives Essay
Fighting for Our Lives offers great insight into the current state of public dialogue. Deborah
Tannen describes how our public interactions have increasingly become warlike , in the way we
discuss ideas, the way we cover the news, and the way we settle disputes. She observes that an
adversarial approach has become the standard as much in public dialogue as it has in just about
anything we need to accomplish . Although she concedes that conflict and opposition are as
necessary as cooperation and agreement , she believes that the balance has been tipped in recent
years. An argument culture has pervaded American culture, and the consequences are real.

Washington may think that saying anything about the other side, no matter how false, is just part of
the game. But it is precisely such politics that has stopped either party from helping the American
people. Worse yet, it is sowing further division among our citizens and further distrust in our
government.
It is clear that right fighting can have especially serious consequences in the public sector. At best, it
makes it difficult to respect our leadership; at worst, it can debilitate our government.
The argument culture is also pervasive in news and talk shows. Think Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh,
or even Jerry Springer. Rush Limbaugh has been so successful in criticizing and attacking, well,
any person, policy or point of view that is not right , that he s been called the de facto leader of the
Republican Party . While the driving force behind Limbaugh (and other personalities like him) is
ostensibly based on differences in principle and ideology, I am inclined to suspect that it has more
to do with power, fame, personal pride, and even money.
So, why are Americans so hell bent to be right? American society is inherently competitive. We
are socialized to believe in polarity. Our moral system tells us that there is always RIGHT and
WRONG. The stories we are told from the time we are children, and the books and movies we
consume as adults

Speech Is Good Or Bad For Audience
Many people face the feeling of fear when they have to deliver a speech in front of an audience.
However, the presentation is not that frightening as long as a speaker is familiar with strategies
,that can be employed to make a successful speech. Even if they spoke in front of an audience ,like
any mental work ,the preparation of the speech tends to be the creative process. When the speaker
does this and is prepared, the audiencecan enjoy listening.
Talk is the most crucial measure of any oral presentation in deciding whether a speech is good or
bad for the audience, in terms of ethical perspective. Being aware of cultural diversity, an ethical
speaker tends to demonstrate respect for the audience by providing them with real information and

Speakers need many skills to speak in front of audiences. If the speaker does not practice for their
presentation, that can make his or her presentation poor. Practicing the presentation allows
speakers to enjoy it and audiences as well. Presentations are not just a set of sentences or a random

would be meaningless and useless. A successful speech is considered to be one that provides a

The Biggest Stressor In A Family’S Experience Is A Death.
The biggest stressor in a family s experience is a death. Stress levels can be different if deaths are

What Causes Lactose Intolerance
What Causes Lactose Deficiency And How It Can Be Diagnosed Lactose intolerance is
considered to be the inability to break a kind of natural sugar, which is referred to as lactose. It is
commonly established in dairy products including milk and yogurt. If a person is said to be lactose
intolerant, then his/her small intestine will stop making enough amount of lactase enzyme in order
to digest or break down the lactose. The undigested lactose will move towards the large intestine,
when this happens. The bacteria, which are usually available within the large intestine will get
interact with those undigested lactose and in turn, cause symptoms like gas, diarrhea and bloating.
This condition might also be regarded as lactase deficiency. In fact, lactose intolerance is widely
seen in adults, specifically those with African, Asian, Mediterranean Ancestry or Native American.
According to some recent studies, about 30 million American individuals of age 20 are lactose
intolerant. Even though the condition is not serious, yet it might be unpleasant. Actually, the signs
of lactose intolerance arise about 30 minutes to 2 hours after ingesting milk or else several other
dairy products with lactose. Individuals who are suffering from lactose intolerant should avoid
consuming those products or of course take medicines that contain the enzyme lactase before doing
so. The symptoms could range out of mild to severe. Typically, the severity relies on the quantity of
lactose you have consumed and also the amount of lactase, which the individual has actually made.

The hypothesis was to explore the extent to which the two halves of the human brain are able to
function independently, and whether they have separate and unique abilities. If the information

Applying the 4 + 1 View with UML 2
Summary
The (UML) Unified Modeling Language is a general purpose modeling language in the field of
software application design, which is developed to supply a conventional means to envision the
design of a system. It was produced and created by James Rumbaugh, Ivar Jacobson and Grady
Booch at Rational Software during 1994 95 with additional advancement led by them with 1996.
In 1997 it was embraced as a basic by the (OMG) Object Management Group, and has actually
been handled by this company since. In 2000 the Unified Modeling Language was likewise
approved by the (ISO) International Organization for Standardization as an authorized ISO

UML 2. X
Apparently, the UML 2.0 significant modification switched out version 1.5 in 2005, which was
created by a bigger consortium to boost the language further to mirror brand new experience on the
use of its attributes. Even if UML 2.1 was never ever launched as an official requirement, versions
2.1.1 and 2.1.2 showed up in 2007, adhered to by UML 2.2 in February 2009. UML 2.3 was
officially launched in May 2010. UML 2.4.1 was officially released in August 2011. UML 2.5 was
launched in October 2012 as a Present version and has yet to come to be formally launched.
There are 4 parts of the UML 2. X spec:.
The Facilities that define the core meta model on which the Superstructure is based
The (OCL) Object Constraint Language for specifying guidelines for model aspects
The UML Layout Interchange that specifies exactly how UML 2 diagram formats are exchanged
The Superstructure that specifies the symbols and semiotics for diagrams and their design
components

Juvenile Justice And The Criminal Justice System
Juveniles have always been a touchy subject in the criminal justice system. Many would argue
that they deserve to be treated and sentenced as adults while others believe that they can be
rehabilitated and changed into fully functioning members of society. Florida has established a
Juvenile Detention Alternatives initiative in order to support the vision that all juvenile justice
offenders would have opportunities put in place to develop them into law abiding adults. This
initiative uses core strategies and decision making skills based on data driven policies and
practices that will reduce secure detention placements and promote healthy lifestyles for the youth
while also enhancing public safety. A program established by the Department of Juvenile Justice
in Florida hopes to do just that. Intensive Delinquency Diversion Services, also referred to as the
IDDS, is offered to youth who are first time offenders. This intense community and home based
intervention hopes to deter offenders from becoming lifelong criminals. This paper will give a
brief background the program, a summary and description of the program, a theory that supports
the program, and finally policy implications of the IDDS program. Background: Florida s initiative
to keep youth offenders out of the formal criminal justice system has given life to many new
programs offered to juveniles. This alternative initiative was launched in 1992. It hopes to move
low risk offenders from detention centers and juveniles

Abortion Discussion Questions
The topic for this discussion board was initially intended to be about a specific interest group we
wanted to see go away, so perhaps we have gone beyond the purpose of the discussion board by
debating the morality of abortion itself. Despite this, I would like to continue the discussion
because I find it interesting.
I disagree with some of the inferences you seem to have drawn from my response. I did not imply
that all abortions are justified; in fact, I would personally advocate for stricter regulations on
abortion. Furthermore, I believe that your statement describing a fetus as merely a burden is an
understatement of the scenarios I was trying to describe. When a fetus threatens the life of the
mother, I would describe its presence as more than just a burden. However, this does not mean I
necessarily support abortion when a pregnancy results from personal irresponsibility. For that
reason, I would like to rephrase the last statement in my former response. Instead of saying that
abortion is less often an issue of personal responsibility, a more accurate representation of my
opinion is to say that abortion should less often be an issue of personal responsibility. I did not
mean to describe how things currently are; rather, I intended to explain how I feel things should be.
I apologize for any confusion that may have caused. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
What that specific point should be, however, is certainly a gray area among most who share a
similar view. The specific points in fetal development that you listed would indeed be an important
consideration in deciding when exactly that point

Anesthetizing Our Youth a Commentary on Over Medicating...
ADHD is the most extensively studied pediatric mental health disorder, yet controversy and public
debate over the diagnosis and medication treatment of the disorder continue to exist. (Connor D.,
P.1, 2011) Attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is often a debated subject when the
method of treatment is being discussed because it has become a trending issue to over medicate
children with ADHD. A fitting label for the trend is the anesthetization of our youth, caused by
government agency expansion and pharmaceutical allowances, and blame parents not advocating
for their child better. The trend of over medicating children with ADHD is labeled well with the
phrase anesthetization of our youth. Anesthetize deprive if feeling or awareness. (Oxford
Dictionary, 2014) Many children often express to their parents that they feel as if they are a
walking zombie. A child may find that they are having memory issues, are not quite themselves,
and feel overly drowsy. ADHD medications often change a child s personality creating what many
kids with ADHD (and their parents) refer to as a zombie state or making them more aggressive.
(Barnett H., P. 1, 2013) Children with ADHD have other options for treatment but unfortunately
medications are pushed on them at an alarming rate. The government paved the road for the
pharmaceutical industry for ADHD medications in the 1990 s. Before 1970, the diagnosis of
ADHD was relatively rare for school children and almost nonexistent for

Why Is Deadpool Better Than Spider Man
Bang bang, gunshots rang out over the streets as Deadpool s enemies fall to the ground, now
they can t harm anyone. Deadpool s powers are absolutely amazing. Deadpool uses situations
that happen in everyday life. Deadpool has a great background. Why is Deadpool better than
Spider Man. Deadpool has by far the best powers in the Marvel Universe. One could easily think
that Spider Man s Spidey sense is the best power to have, however what this argument overlooks
is that in issue four hundred of The Amazing Spider Man, Peter uses his Spidey sense to dodge a
bullet but Aunt May is standing behind him and gets hit. If it had been Deadpool he would have
broken the fourth wall and moved everyone around so the marksman gets hit. Deadpool s powers...

they can t harm anyone anymore. In Spider Man no one really dies except for people close to
him, all of the 8.406 million people in New York City seem to never even get injured. Deadpool
has more real world concepts and situations than Spider Man. Deadpool has a way better
background than Spider Man. Mutated cancer cells are more realistic than being bitten by an
irradiated spider. There are people in real life with mutated cells, like people with Heterochromia

Biology I Lab 1010 Lab Section U55
Abstract:
The objective of this experiment was to observe the transformation occurrence with E.coli and the
ampicillin resistance gene. When plasmids like lux or pUC18 are added in E.coli, they are more
likely to survive in certain environments that contain antibiotics. Plasmid can carry genes enabling
bacteria like E.coli to survive in harsh conditions. This experiment displayed how plasmid work
when inserted in E.coli with and without ampicillin. In certain agar plates, ampicillin was added
with either the lux plasmid or the pUC18 plasmid resulting in colony growth. In other agar plates,
no ampicillin was added when either the lux plasmid or the pUC18 plasmid was added resulting in
colony growth. If growth occurred from the bacteria when it was added in the Ampicillin agar
plates, then it was determined that the E.coli was transformed successfully and is expressing the
Ampicillin resistant genes.
Introduction: The small, circular DNA molecules that exist apart from the chromosomes in most
bacterial species are called plasmids. Plasmids are not needed for the survival of the host bacterial,
but some plasmids can carry genes that makes bacteria ampicillin resistant like pUC18 or

Abstract
Accounting is used for several purposes. Investors, creditors, and individuals use accounting to see
whether a business is successful or not. Managers and employees use accounting to make decisions
on certain objectives. There are four main statements used in accounting: The balance sheet, income
statement, the statement of retained earnings, and the statement of cash flow. The equation for
accounting is assets equal equity plus liabilities. The equation must always balance out.
The Basic Principles of Accounting A business uses accounting to record all financial transactions a
business has made. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Debits and credits do not mean debits decrease an account or credits increase an account. Debit
and credit can increase or decrease an account. (Editorial Board, 2011).
Assets, liabilities, equity, revenue, and expenses has their own balance. A company will produce a
trial balance which will give the balance of all these in a certain amount of time such as monthly,
quarterly, or annually. The trial balance ensures that account balance is accurate. If the accounting
equation isn t balanced out then there is an error in the accounting records.
The final process of accounting is producing financial statements. The first statement is the income
statement. The income statement shows a company s profit or loss after revenue and expenses. The
equation for the income statement is revenue minus expenses equal net income. The next statement
produced is the statement of retained earnings. The statement of retained earnings starts out with
the net income retrieved from the income statement, which is added to the beginning retained
earnings from the previous month then subtracts the money paid out. The last document is the
balance sheet. A balance sheet contains a more detailed statement of each account balance. (Tracy,
2008).
A certain standard of moral and professional ethics should be kept in accounting. If professional
ethics are not met, some consequences may be faced. These

  • 2. Five Pillars Of Anarrchism The term anarchy originates from the union of the Greek word О¬ПЃП‡О®, meaning authority or command , and the privative alpha, which expresses absence. Anarchism is the belief in the abolition of all government and in the organization of society on a voluntary and cooperative basis without recourse to force or compulsion. This belief is based on five main pillars: anti authoritarianism, voluntarism, egalitarianism, mutualism and autonomism. According to the anarchist thought, authority is to be rejected as illegitimate and the imposition of power through force is untenable. Russian philosopher Mikhail Bakunin argued for the replacement of the state by federations of self governing workplaces and communes (anti authoritarianism). As written in his work God and State, The liberty of man consists solely in this, that he obeys the laws of nature because he has himself recognized them as such, and not because they have been imposed upon him externally by any foreign will whatsoever, human or divine, collective or individual . Voluntarism is key as well. In an anarchist society, there is no fixed and constant authority, but a continual exchange of mutual, temporary, and, above all, voluntary authority and subordination. ... Anarchismis a utopia, a world in which all humans live in communion and solidarity is utopian, but believing in utopias and aspire to reach them has been a motor of progress in history, not a sign of naivety. Martin Luther King and Gandhi were utopians, just to mention a few. Nevertheless, amid various difficulties, they managed to change the world for the better, even though their visions may not have been fully realized. Anarchists are not naГЇve. • 4. Hamlet Loyalty Analysis To be Loyal or not to be Loyal To be or not to be (127) is deciphered in Hamlet as whether or not Hamlet wants to live or die, but adding (a) simple word(s) in the quote can change its meaning. To be loyal or not to be loyal. Loyalty comes out of love; if you love someone you ll put them before others. Being loyal,( no comma?) is staying with someone through all the hardships and trials they face. Hamletwas very loyal to his father. He loved his father, and when his father died Hamlet was miserable. Until the day, when his father s ghost appeared and revealed to Hamlet that his father s death was caused by the most unnatural murder (57). His loyalty towards his father caused him to seek revenge because he adored his father dearly. Even though people showed fondness towards King Hamlet, there were some who lusted for what he had. King Hamlet had everything he ever needed, but that didn t go over well with his vile brother, Claudius, who wanted King Hamlet s fortune, crown, and wife. Claudius is a prime example of lacking loyalty. Claudius pleasure and jealousy caused him to murder his brother. Familyshould be loyal to each other; Claudius was I m not saying that you can t argue with them, but you should never betray them. Not only did Claudius display lack of loyalty but Hamlet did as well. Hamlet didn t believe that he should show loyalty towards the villain who murdered his beloved father. Hamlet wouldn t listen to Claudius when he told Hamlet to remain in Denmark instead of going back to Wittenberg. Hamlet wasn t loyal to the king but that doesn t mean he wasn t loyal to the queen. He loved his motherbut he didn t know why she had to marry so quickly after his father s death or why she married his uncle, but through those hard times he still loved and obeyed her. When he saw the emotional distressed woman begging him to Let not thy mother lose her prayers, Hamlet: I pray thee, stay with us; go not to Wittenberg (29). Hamlet had every reason to go back to Wittenberg his father was gone, his mischievous uncle was now married to his mother, and no one understood the grief he was going through. Even though it was difficult, he remained in Denmark because he was loyal to his mother. His mother ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. God Vs Atheism Argument The video, God vs. Atheism: Which is more rational, doesn t make sense to me. It starts by saying faith s a belief in God, but towards the end it says God doesn t require faith. If Faith is a belief in God, how does God not require faith? It says Atheism requires faith but Atheists don t believe in God. How would Atheists have a belief in God, Faith? It says faith and reason are opposites which I agree with but I feel God has to do with faith and Atheists think they are being reasonable because they feel science has proved God impossible, but just like the video said, the belief in God is far more rational than Atheism. Logic can show there s a God. Nothing can come from nothing. Things move and we know something must cause that movement. Catholics believe God is the unmoved mover. Just because you... There are four ways atheists go at explaining this It had to be this way, it s only a coincidence, it just happened to be this way, and winning the cosmic lottery, but it s easy to prove this wrong because our proof states nothing happens by chance and these examples would all be chance. To say something happened by luck or chance honestly just sounds uneducated to me. This being said, the scenario that best goes with our proof is You are at a coffee shop after class discussing the Big Bang Theory for an upcoming test and another student asks: If the Big Bang caused the universe, why would Christians believe in a God causing the universe? Moreover, if God caused it, who/what caused God? Belief in God is reasonable. Markup Language is a Program Used During Web Design A Markup Language or ML can be defined as the programming language that is used during web design or development to create or build a website. (Kyrnin, J. 2 December 2011, What are Markup Languages?). In the INFO101 course here at Victoria University of Wellington we are required to familiarise ourselves with two specific markup languages: Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). (School of Information Management, VUW, March 2014, Part One Introduction to HTML and Basic Formatting). It is also important to note that there are many different variations of markup languages in operation. Additional ones worth mention include: Extensible Markup Language (XML), Standard Generalised Markup Language (SGML) and Extensible Hyper Text Markup Language (XHTML). (Kyrnin, J. 2 December 2011, What are Markup Languages?). I will focus primarily on HTML, as it is the central focus of our first workshop assignment. In a nutshell, a markup language annotates text so as to allow the computer to manipulate that text. (Kyrnin, J. 2 December 2011, What are Markup Languages?). This process is achieved via the use of sets of tags or elements (which are essentially distinct arrangements of characters). Tags can be implanted in digital text to provide supplementary information about the text in order to facilitate automated processing of it; this may include formatting and editing for display or even printing. • 9. Essay Comparing The Parable Of The Old Man And The Young There were similarities as well as differences found in the two works Abraham and Isaac and The Parable of the Young and the Old . One similarity is the objects that Abram brought with him. In both works, Abram is said to have brought fire and knife with him. Also, in both works, Isaac asks the same question. As they arrive near the sacrificial place, Isaacasks where the lamb for the sacrifice is. In both works, Abram bounds his son and is about to slay him when an angel speaks out. Finally, in both stories, a ram is offered from the angel instead of Isaac. However, there are several key differences that separate these two seemingly similar works. The most major difference is the connotation of The Parable of the Old Man and the Young . The entire story is a metaphor for war, as can be seen in many lines. ... When Abram killed his son, he ended up killing half the seed of Europe, and perhaps half the seed of Europe was killed in World War I. After all, if someone is killed, their descendants will never be able to live. Even looking just at the literal meaning, there are several key differences. Upon examining the schools of America, one can find a plethora of issues within the system. • 15. Elements Of A Short Story Short stories can be bland and boring. As you read some of them, you can feel emotion or just read a boring story about how something changed their life, but these three stories are interesting because they develop horror. These short stories use different elements to create horror. The Tell Tale Heart, A Rose for Emily, , and The Lottery develop horror/gothic elements. First, The Tell Tale Heart develops horror by having an unreliable crazy narrator. For example, we see his psyche in the introduction of Edgar Allan Poe s short story. I heard all things in the heaven and earth. I heard many things in hell. How, then, am I mad? (par. 1). This gives the audience the insight into the narrator s mind; therefore, the narrator has some sort of schizophrenia that causes him to not hear, think, or behave correctly. As the narrator talks to the reader he thinks he is not crazy and that his thoughts are normal. Next, the short story is written in first person point of view which makes the story way more interesting and you see how mad this character is. I grew furious as I gazed upon it (par. 9). In first person point of view the reader can almost imagine the whole situation as the narrator is in the old man s room looking at his vulture eye. Plus, the narrator killing the old man was premeditated, and that the narrator was in the man s house to murder him due to his mental health issues. The psycho narrator in The Tell Tale Heart develops horror in this short story. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It is home of several man made islands, one of which is Kansai Inrenational Airport, and several other off coast architectural miracles of modern day ingenuity. Osaka is a beautiful place to live and is also one of the safest places to live in the world as far as crime and pollution are concerned. On the extreme other hand it is THE most dangerous place to be in the world when it comes to natural disasters. It is also home to the Tsunamis that follow periodically after especially strong earthquakes occur. What Are The Advantages Of Swarm Robotics ADVANCES IN SWARM ROBOTICS AND THE STABILITY OF A SWARM Sudhansh Aggarwal 120907494, Dept. of Electronics and Communication Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal University INTRODUCTION Swarm robotics is the new approach to the coordination of multi robot systems that consists of many relatively smaller robots. The inspiration of this is the social behaviour of many animals and insects like ants, geese etc. the terms Swarm Intelligence refers to the collective behaviour that is the outcome of the work of the smaller individuals, each acting autonomously. Swarm intelligence is a property of systems of non intelligent exhibiting a collectively intelligent behaviour. Since the 1980 s, swarm robotics has become a major area of research. • 20. Punk Rock And Punk Music In the 70s and 80s punk music emerged. It was a style that was derived from rock music, and similarly to rock, it defied hierarchies. However, punk rock defied hierarchies in a more extremist level than how rock did it, it promoted anarchy, which means that it was against any type of government (Davies 1 2), Most people can probably recognize the Sex Pistols, the Clash, and the Ramones, as the most popular bands. The Sex Pistols only lasted three years as a band and recorded only one album, but they are the ones that caused a bigger impact, since they were the personification of punk rock. For example, the Sex Pistols protested against the Queen of England in many of their songs. In the 90s punk evolved into other styles, such as alternative and grunge, that still hold liberal ideals but not as extremist as punk rock. In the 00s and present society musicians still use their music as a way of protest of towards authority, voicing and uniting the oppressed. Catalase is a globular protein molecule that is found in all living cells. A globular protein is a protein with its molecules curled up into a ball shape. All enzymes have an active site. This is where another molecule(s) can bind with the enzyme. This molecule is known as the substrate. When the substrate binds with the enzyme, a product is produced. In actuality, it stems far beyond the isolated land of picturesque vistas used to often describe Canada s rugged landscape. The lived Canadian environment reflects a regional perspective that does not encompass the true reality of the country as a whole. The North links the diversity of Indigenous peoples to the land they have occupied for centuries, a place where they have built their own distinct culture, language and identity. Those ideals have been increasingly challenged in the twenty first century, in spite of the imagined sense of Canadianness in the North but because of the transitioning economy and environment in the North. This paper will explore the challenges facing Canadas northern resource economy and the socio cultural implications on the regions Aboriginal population. Historically, the national psyche of the Territorial North uses the region to define the country to citizens and the world, with 80% of Canadians linking their national identity to the North (Cric Papers 4). There are many aspects besides the definition of the words that show how different they are, however the strongest answers come from inside a person. The main and most important index of evaluating the performance of organic solar cell (OSC) is the power conversion efficiency (PCE), О·. It is based on three other parameters, they are open circuit voltage Voc, short circuit current density Jsc, and fill factor FF. The power conversion efficiency is evaluated with respect to standard reporting conditions (SRC) defined by temperature, spectral irradiance, and total irradiance. 23 The SRC for rating the performance of terrestrial PV cells are the following: 1000 Wв€™m 2 irradiance, AM 1.5 (AM: air mass) global reference spectrum, and 25 В°C cell temperature. 24 28 The PCE (О·) of a PV cell is given as30 Where Pmax is the measured peak power of the cell, A is the effective device area, and Etot is the total incident irradiance. Stress levels can be different if deaths are sudden or even if the death was known to be coming. Also, at different ages the stressors of a death in the family can differ greatly. The experiences of a death of a child, death of a sibling, death of a parent, and/or death of a spouse/partner all have similarities and differences. Death of a Child The death of a child in a family can have different meanings depending on the family. With the death of a child, one concludes the child as young, school age or younger. The C factor in this model is where the contrast is between these occurrences. It has always puzzled observers that some families ride out the vicissitudes of floods and disasters without apparent disorganization, whereas most families are at least temporarily paralyzed by such catastrophes. The key appears to be at the meaning dimension. Stressors become crises in line with the definition the family makes of the event. (Wilmoth, 2009) In society in general the death of a child, sibling, parent, and a spouse /partner hold a different meaning, one death is not equal to all. Such as, a child s death is harder to cope with, because they were young and did not get a chance to live their life, parents are not supposed to outlive their children. Whereas, the death of a sibling is not as concerning in today s society, there is more emphasis put on the parents of the lost life than the siblings of it. Abortion Discussion Questions The topic for this discussion board was initially intended to be about a specific interest group we wanted to see go away, so perhaps we have gone beyond the purpose of the discussion board by debating the morality of abortion itself. Despite this, I would like to continue the discussion because I find it interesting. I disagree with some of the inferences you seem to have drawn from my response. I did not imply that all abortions are justified; in fact, I would personally advocate for stricter regulations on abortion. Furthermore, I believe that your statement describing a fetus as merely a burden is an understatement of the scenarios I was trying to describe. When a fetus threatens the life of the mother, I would describe its presence as more than just a burden. However, this does not mean I necessarily support abortion when a pregnancy results from personal irresponsibility. For that reason, I would like to rephrase the last statement in my former response. Instead of saying that abortion is less often an issue of personal responsibility, a more accurate representation of my opinion is to say that abortion should less often be an issue of personal responsibility. I did not mean to describe how things currently are; rather, I intended to explain how I feel things should be. I apologize for any confusion that may have caused. ... The Transformation Occurrence of Plasmid in Bacterial Growth Cherline Riche ________________________________________________________________________ Panther ID: 5471556 Crystal Garcia, Joselyn Pozo, Tory Jarett Biology I Lab 1010 Lab Section U55 Abstract: The objective of this experiment was to observe the transformation occurrence with E.coli and the ampicillin resistance gene. When plasmids like lux or pUC18 are added in E.coli, they are more likely to survive in certain environments that contain antibiotics. Plasmid can carry genes enabling bacteria like E.coli to survive in harsh conditions. This experiment displayed how plasmid work when inserted in E.coli with and without ampicillin. In certain agar plates, ampicillin was added with either the lux plasmid or the pUC18 plasmid resulting in colony growth. In other agar plates, no ampicillin was added when either the lux plasmid or the pUC18 plasmid was added resulting in colony growth. If growth occurred from the bacteria when it was added in the Ampicillin agar plates, then it was determined that the E.coli was transformed successfully and is expressing the Ampicillin resistant genes. Introduction: The small, circular DNA molecules that exist apart from the chromosomes in most bacterial species are called plasmids. Plasmids are not needed for the survival of the host bacterial, but some plasmids can carry genes that makes bacteria ampicillin resistant like pUC18 or ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The trial balance ensures that account balance is accurate. If the accounting equation isn t balanced out then there is an error in the accounting records. The final process of accounting is producing financial statements. The first statement is the income statement. The income statement shows a company s profit or loss after revenue and expenses. The equation for the income statement is revenue minus expenses equal net income. The next statement produced is the statement of retained earnings. The statement of retained earnings starts out with the net income retrieved from the income statement, which is added to the beginning retained earnings from the previous month then subtracts the money paid out.
