Essay Papers
Writing an essay on the topic of "Essay Papers" may initially seem paradoxical. It's akin to
attempting to paint a canvas that depicts the act of painting itself—a meta-exercise in self-
reflection. One must grapple with the challenge of avoiding circular reasoning while exploring
the nuances of the essay genre. The inherent difficulty lies in the task of dissecting and analyzing
the very medium through which ideas are conveyed, an endeavor that demands a delicate
balance between introspection and objectivity.
The essayist embarks on a journey to unravel the layers of essay composition—delving into the
historical evolution, the diverse forms it takes, and the underlying principles that govern its
structure. The act of articulating the intricacies of essay writing becomes an exercise in self-
awareness, as one grapples with the paradox of elucidating a form of expression that is
simultaneously personal and universal.
Furthermore, the essayist must navigate the challenge of avoiding clichГ©s and tired tropes that
often plague discussions about writing. Crafting an essay about essay papers requires a nuanced
approach to prevent the work from devolving into a mere exercise in tautology. The task
becomes a delicate dance between originality and adherence to established conventions.
Amidst the introspection, there is the risk of losing sight of the broader context—how essays
serve as a vessel for the transmission of ideas, the exploration of arguments, and the articulation
of perspectives. The difficulty lies in maintaining a balance between self-analysis and the broader
implications of essay writing as a means of communication.
In conclusion, tackling the topic of "Essay Papers" in an essay form presents a unique challenge,
requiring a delicate dance between self-reflection and the exploration of the broader landscape
of written expression. It's a paradoxical endeavor that demands a keen awareness of the medium
itself. As one navigates this intricate terrain, the essayist must strive for a harmonious synthesis
of personal introspection and a broader understanding of the role essays play in the realm of
communication.

Pregnant Snake Research Paper
Pregnant Snake
If you look at this disgusting mess and want to eat it, then congrats. You are like
blogger Kevin Cameron and his neighbour that skinned and ate a venomous snake.
The unborn babies of this snake are clearly visible in the translucent layer that
remains of this snake s skin. The American blogger that lives in Japan said that the
snake tasted like a snake but it s not clear what that is really supposed to mean. It
might have been delicious for all we know. He also said that he ate the gallbladder
of the snake raw because he had heard that it had health benefits. It looks like a snake

that it is made to host a specific bacteria that gives it its characteristic slimy texture

Enough Is Enough Alain De Botton
When is Enough, Enough?
In his chapter Equality, Expectation, and Envy of his book Status Anxiety, Alain de
Botton analyzes the social anxieties of people. In his article, Botton explains the
possible causes of these dilemmas, and how these social issues affect our generation
today. Throughout the chapter, Botton discusses peoples longing to be better, the
impact of equality on the world, and the realistic results of high expectations and
hopes. Although modern society seems to have had a tremendous improvement of
resources over many generations, people fear that enough is not enough. Society
strives for more and better things, even when they already have more and better
things. Botton explains that we decide our wants and set our limits by comparing
ourselves to our reference groups (Botton 25) A reference group is an assemblage
of people in similar conditions as our own. We suddenly become hateful and
envious when someone that we correspond and relate to is more dominant and
successful than us in whatever way. In addition to comparisons and envy, Botton
discusses how we only compare ourselves to people in our reference groups. In our
society, it is easy to know when someone may have had more or ... Show more

He begins by explaining how the greater the number of people whom we take to be
as our equals and compare ourselves to, the more there will be for us to envy.
(Botton 27) Although very common today, equality was not an accepted belief in
the past. It was presumed that people were born into their position, low or high.
Slaves were not considered people and lived a life of servitude; they could not build
their way up to a higher position. Aristotle stated in Politics, It is clear that some
men are by nature free and others are by nature slaves, and that is for these latter,
slavery is both expedient and right (qtd. in Botton

As for other companies in the nutraceutical industry the competition with the
pharmaceutical companies can be perceived as a great threat. The competition with
the food industry, which has strong expertise in large scale manufacturing and global

food industry do not pursue today advanced research expertise. The increase of the

Mercutio A Good Friend Analysis
A friend is someone who you respect and who respects you. A friend is someone
who would stand up for you. In that case, when asked the question, Is Mercutio a
good friend to Romeo? , Mercutio fits this definition perfectly. For one, Mercutio
stands up for Romeo when he is being verbally attacked by Tybalt. As well as this,
Mercutiois willing to look out for Romeo s best interests. Also, Mercutio is
someone who lightens the mood of situations and helps to cheer Romeo up when
he is feeling sad. Although it can seem like Mercutio is a bad friend to Romeo at
times, Mercutio has many great qualities that show his significance to Romeo as a
good friend. To begin with, Mercutio is a good friend to Romeo in that he stands
up for Romeo when in need. In Act III, Scene I, there is a scene in which Tybalt,
Mercutio, and Romeo are conversing. In lines 59 60, Tybalt says, Romeo, the loveI

In Act I, Scene IV, Romeo and friends are about to crash the party that the Capulets
are hosting, but Romeo is still sad from the heartbreak he experienced with
Rosaline. As a good friend would, Mercutio tries to look out for and convince
Romeo that there are many fish in the sea. You are a lover. Borrow Cupid s wings
and soar with them above a common bound. This means that Romeo should try
and fly to find someone else instead of Rosaline. As well as this, he gives advice to
Romeo for getting over Rosaline and himself. If love be rough with you, be rough
with love. Prick love for pricking, and you beat love down. This means that if love
plays rough with you, you must play rough back. Once you prick love, you will get
over your heartbreak and love. Thus, Mercutio looks out for Romeo s best interests
and gives him advice, which aligns him as a good friend to
Art Spiegelman s Father
Art Spiegelman often reverts back to real time talking with his father. His father
would explain, in these breaks, other things that were going on and feelings
himself and the people around him were feeling. Spiegelman also used these
breaks to show that his father often dwelled on new problems. He uses these breaks
to show his father giving more insight on what was going on and to also show
what his father was feeling from past. The story showed the cause and what was
happening while the breaks showed the effects it was having on Spiegelman s father
and other people. Spiegelman s father often spends time dwelling on new problems
and trying to fix them. On page 98, we hear that his father, who had been talking

Education Act Of 1944 And The Beginning Of The
National...
Education in Great Britain has always been a hot topic for discussion and over the
years the education system has undergone many changes. This has been down to the
political party in power at the time, pressures of a changing society and the
subsequent rise and fall of the national economy. The purpose of this essay is to look
at how these factors have affected and developed secondary educationin Great Britain
starting with a brief overview of the pre 1900 s. Moving through the years in
chronological order, the essay will consider various Education Acts and reports, the
effect of two World Wars and the controversial Butler Education Act of 1944 when the
tripartite systemwas introduced. Prior to 1900 secondary education was virtually
non existent, the consensus view at that time was that secondary education was
only for boys of the middle and upper classes. The few schools available were fee
paying and therefore only an option to those who could afford them. This fuelled
the gap in social status and in the opinion of Marxists kept the lower classes in their
place so as not to disrupt the economic and social balance. In the 1860 s there were
no grammar schools for girls, however due to a slight change in the views of
society by 1900 eighty girls schools had been created (Stephens, 1998). The 1870 s
saw the development of some of higher grade schools, these had a scientific and
technical bias and grants were provided for those whose pupils were successful in the

advocates for protecting the natural environment (Laurate Education, 2013). This
medium sized organization is located on the second floor of the building in the

Regarding the cost benefit analysis approach, it appears to be heavily emphasized in
the PeaceTree s budget. The benefits of PeaceTree should be identified as absolutely
apparent over the past few years. In respect to environmental concerns, it becomes
evident that the extending environmental impact upon businesses and neighbors is a
real challenge. This is especially true in Delaware where where commercial

The study largely gravitates towards maintaining a due recycling program and
elaborating on most optimal recycling strategies, which would give the chance to
keep maintenance costs and taxes down for business owners in the City of New
Harbor. This study also explores how cultural differences and the knowledge itself
that business owners bring to recycling can result in two fold outcomes; the
ambiguity consists in enabling, on the one hand, some organizations to overcome
barriers to participation and decreasing, on the other hand, others companies ability
to overcome barriers to participation in the City of New Harbor, Delaware (Brown,
2013). Thus, recycling activities are fully prepared in order to ensure that the effects
of recycling concept are injected into business owners perspective.
In the late 1990s, hospitality industry companies did not express concerns about
environmental impacts and sustainable techniques necessary to reduce the solid waste
(Radwan et al., 2010; Pirani Arafat, 2014). Currently, recycling policies, strongly
associated with recovery oriented practices, refer to the collection and reuse of waste
materials by business owners. Singh and Lee (2014) distinguish the importance of
recycling programs. In particular, they claim that materials for converting into new
objects can be accumulated separately from
Essay On Punishment Vs. Positivity
Punishment vs. Positivity For as long as there has been an educational system,
teachers and administration have used various forms of punishment to manage
student behavior. In America today, there are fifteen states that that expressly permit
the use of corporal punishment and seven more that do not prohibit the use of
corporal punishment in schools (Turner, 2016). At the same time, the U.S.
Department of Education has established the National Technical Assistance Center on
Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports. This variance in the condoning of
punishment by the U.S. Government and promotion of Positive Behavior
Intervention from the U.S. Department of Education leads to the question of the best

Punishment alone fails to show the correct behavior; thus the child is being punished
for something, but fails to understand what he should have done. More severe forms
of punishment, such as corporal punishment reinforces violence as a solution to a
problem (National Association of School Psychologists, 2014) consequently
continuing the patterns of violence and disorderly behaviors outside of school.
Furthermore, the combination of punishment and lack of positive social interactions,
puts children at risk for later life adjustments such as antisocial behavior. (Walker,
Colvin, Ramsey, 1995). Finally, the majority of children causing major disruptions in
the classroom are lacking in one or more academic area, punishment alone overlooks
the academic needs of the child. Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports
Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports, here forth referred to as PBIS, is a
systematic approach to behavior management through proactive interventions and
positive interactions. PBIS is a framework that supports schools in developing
common expectations and procedures to promote positive changes in students and
teacher behaviors. (Barrett, Bradshaw, Lewis Palmer, 2008). The frame work
consists of three tiers: Tier 1 to prevent unwanted behaviors through positive
interventions for all students, Tier 2 to provide support for a select group of
individuals, and Tier 3 to
The Greenhouse Effect On The Environment
The greenhouse effect occurs when the major gases such as carbon dioxide, methane,
nitrogen oxide and water vapour which then will trap heat in the atmosphere therefore
those gasses act as a thick layer outside the planet surrounding the whole planet to
control the climate (REF). If we did not have this layer that surrounds the planet and
keeps it warm, the temperature would drop and it would not be inhabitable for
humans. (REF)
Containing this heat causes heat waves, droughts, and climate changes which could
change our way of living on this planet.
There are different types of gasses in the atmosphere, some are natural and some are
manmade gasses, all of which are contribute to the greenhouse effect. Natural
emissions such as:
Carbon ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are a lot of manmade gasses which have been released into the atmosphere
which have added to the green house layers these gasses such as sulphur hexafluoride,
hydrofluorocarbons this results in global warming which means heat that would
normally be escaping through the greenhouse layers remains trapped which then start
to cause the temperature to rise.
Increasing the greenhouse effect can lead to global warming and climate change
which will change the way we live.
Deforestation: There is a lot of manmade gasses and human activities that are causing
global warming and climate change such as deforestation, this has many negative
effects on the planet and there are a huge amount of reasons why.
According to WWO (2016) Humans have used forests for fuel for thousands of years,
and 2.6 billion people today still use biomass mainly wood and charcoal for cooking .
The main reasons for deforestation would be for profit such as money or providing
for one s family also a lot of farmers are use acres of forests for agriculture as the
human population increases dramatically by the second the need for more food is
needed so the only way to compensate for this is to plant crops
Parliament Vs Executive
Arguments for the successful parliament checks over the executive:
Parliament Ultimately holds a sovereign power over the Executive to create law. Any
law created by parliament reigns supreme over all including the functions and laws
presiding over the Executive. (provided in the Constitution act 1981). Parliament
makes, enforces and adjudicates on its own grounds of procedure, not under the
Parliament s rule of law applies to the Executive. The concept of the rule of law is
created by parliament and restricts the action of policy formation. One of the key
concepts that affect the Executive is that the government must exercise its power
according to the law. Broadly, the law and policy must be easily accessed and open
to the public. If a member of the Executive has breached the law or committed a
crime, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Cabinet, defined as the head of the Executive is sometimes split to form Cabinet
committees for issues too broad to discuss on the weekly meeting. When deciding on
the formation of cabinet and cabinet committees, the prime minister as the head of
cabinet may stack like minded ministers to sway the discussions. Essentially Cabinet
committees become much easier to manipulate than control over Cabinet itself, and
the PM (body from Exec) is able to guide power over cabinet without interference of
parliament.
Parliament in some cases can give away the power through delegated legislation
responsibilities. Here, we can see a flaw in the separation of powers system as
parliament gives away their sovereign power to another body. (usually the
Executive) . Parliament acts as an ineffective check on Executive power as they
transfer power to the already powerful Executive. This compromises the Doctrine of
the separation of powers, this gives the ability to create law to the Executive.
Perhaps as a flaw in the system, the process of handing on a delegated legislation is

Examples Of Emerging Nanotechnology
Emerging nanotechnology Introduction Here discussing about the nano
technology it can be seen that the world is going global as well as the use of
technology is emerging more and more. Here if we talk about the advancements
then we can see couple of good example by looking at which we can say that before
things were huge, big in number, but now in this competitive era it is noticed that
the technology is too vast that everything is fast and small enough that it is hard to
imagine sometimes. Moreover, just by looking at a simple example of the super
computer, when the first computer was introduced, they were the size of the whole
house in US. The point to be noticed is that right now everything that
supercomputer does, can be done by our smartphones. That is amazing Yes, it does.
This is how the technology changes, starting from micro chips, till the medical
usage everything now in this competitive world have changed and it can be seen
that best of the examples which the humans are saved with the help of nano
technology in the world. Many surgeries are done without even a cut in to the
human body and they are successful as well. It can be seen that up till now almost
1.2 billion dollars is being spent on the innovativeness by US every year. This not
only all the developed countries are initiating and looking towards the better
technology in this case as well (Wilson, Kannangara, Smith, Simmons, Raguse, 2002).

Controversiality In Othello
Controversiality is something that Shakespeare has conquered in all of his plays.
Most of these controversial things have to women and the treatment of them.
Some of the biggest ones are King Lear, Hamlet, and Othello. These plays show
how Shakespeare portrays women. Women are an essential part of everyone s
lives because they are the ones that give birth to the people of this world. In these
three plays especially it is told how women were treated back then. These plays
have a variety of stories, but really they are the same plot line with different
characters. Women are treated in these plays like they were treated in the
Elizabethan Era, which wasn t good. They couldn t talk unless they were talked to
first and they were not able to do anything... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
treating women in many plays is a controversial topic, because it is hard to portray
them as equals to men. Which, sometimes comes across as the women are being
treated badly. In Othello, this miscommunication is not present. This is because the
treatment of women here is pretty neutral. According to a feminist reading of this
play, In the Elizabethian era . . . women were expected to be silent, chaste, and
obedient to their husbands, fathers, brothers, and all men in general . . . As we go
through Othello we find that the women characters are presented according to this
expectation of the Elizabethan society (Feminist). This quote shows that the
treatment of women in this play matches the way that the women were treated in
the Elizabethan Era, which wasn t bad, but wasn t good. They were treated like
they weren t there really. They could only talk if they were talked to and they were
too do everything that the man said. If they didn t do these things then they were to
be punished. The punishment could be anything really, whatever the man decided
to do. In the Elizabethan Era it was also expected that the women were to get
married, this was their sole purpose for being on Earth. This play resembles that
because everyone doesn t take it well when Beatrice says that she is not going to get
married, If they have not a
Beowulf Christian Influence Essay
Christian Influence on Beowulf and The Saga of King Hrolf Kraki
In Beowulf the Christian influence is revealed through approximately 70 passages
in which the form of expression or the thought suggests Christian usage or doctrine
(Blackburn 3); The Saga of King Hrolf Kraki is in its own way infused with Christian
values even though it preserves remnants of the cult of Odin.
The Christian element seems to be too deeply interwoven in the text of Beowulf for
us to suppose that it is due to additions made by scribes at a time when the poem had
come to be written down. The Christian element had to be included by the original
poet or by minstrels who recited it in later times. The extent to which the Christian
element is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
E. Talbot Donaldson says: Yet there is no reference to the New Testament to Christ
and His Sacrifice which are the real bases of Christianity in any intelligible sense of
the term. (Bloom 1). The minstrels who introduced the Christian element probably
had but a vague knowledge of Christianity, much of it probably coming from other
poets who were Christian, like Caedmon, who is mentioned in Bede s The
Ecclesiastical History of the English People (215 18). Caedmon s Hymn has but few
lines extant:
. . . the power of the Creator, the profound mind
of the glorious Father, who fashioned the beginning
of every wonder, the eternal Lord.
For the children of men he made first
heaven as a roof, the holy Creator. . . .(Alexander 6)
The Christian references in Beowulf include four allusions to Genesis, including the
Creation, Cain and Abel and the Flood. There are dozens of references to God in the
Christian sense, plus other epithets for God: lord, father, creator, ruler, almighty,
ruler of men, ruler of glory, shepherd of glory, king of glory, guider of the heavens,
ruler of victories, king of victories (Chadwick 24).
While the poet s reflections and characters statements are mostly Christian, the
customs and ceremonies, on the other hand, are almost entirely heathen/pagan (Ward
v1,ch3,s3,n17): At the beginning of the poem, there is the account of the pagan
funeral rites of Scyld

Different Types Of Media That Can Be Used For Connect...
What are the different types of media that can be used to connect different computers
together into a computer network?
There are four basic types of connection media that are used for connecting separate
computers together on the same computer network. Both categories are copper
cabling, fiber optic cabling, wireless signal, and infrared signals. The first two types
of connection media on our lives are known as bounded network media because they
both use wire of some sort in order to connect or bound one computer to another on
a network. Copper cables are the most commonly used of the four types of network
connection media. Copper cabling sends data in binary format from one computer
system on a network to another through the use of electrical signals. Fiber optic
cabling follows copper cabling when it comes to frequency of use. Fiber optic
cable has a completely different configuration for transferring binary data across the
network from one computer system to another computer system. Unlike copper
cable fiber optic cable does not use electrical signals when encoding binary data
instead it transmits the data as pulses of light. Fiber optic cables transmit the binary
data as light pulses in a similar fashion to the way copper cables use electrical pulses
to transmit binary data. The next two types of connection media are known as
unbounded network media due to the fact that they do not use any type of physical
wiring to connect the different computer systems on a

by President Juan Peron that their beloved and revered Evita had passed away. While
the masses wept in her memory a select few mourned her death with celebratory
toasts of champagne. Nevertheless, the Argentine streets were lined with mourners
and flowers from the moment her death was announced until her funeral on August

A Brief Note On Cataract Elementary School Website
There were several sources used to obtain information provided in this report. The
first and main source used was from the Cataract Elementary School website. This
source provided information concerning the school, and academic affairs. Another
source used was my personal experience of walking around the school, and taking
note of pictures, and children s artwork on the walls. Also from personal experience,
the mission and school mottos were obtained from seeing the school walls, and were
included in this report. Another source used was The Niagara FallsSchool District

community service opportunities for students and families. Two sources were used
concerning NYSED data assessment. The last two sources concern strategies to use
in future years of teaching, providing great examples of what to incorporate in a

1) Which of the six colors of the rainbow is refracted the greatest?
Out of the 7 colors of the rainbow, Violet is refracted the greatest.
2) What is a mirage and why does it always disappear as the observer gets closer?
A mirage is a naturally occurring optical phenomenon in which light rays are bent
to produce a displaced image of distant objects or the sky. Mirages appear at very
low viewing angles, when you are far away. As you approach, the viewing angle
increases and the mirage disappears, or moves farther away. The reflection of heat
dissipates in the human eye causing the mirage or blur to vanish.
3) If you were looking for a rainbow in the morning, which direction (N, S, E, W)
would you face and why?

The same cloud that is not fog on lower ground may be fog where it contacts higher
ground such as hilltops or mountain ridges. A cloud is a visible mass of condensed
droplets or ice crystals suspended in the atmosphere above the surface of the Earth or
another planetary body. The branch of meteorology in which clouds are studied is
nephrology.
13) If you see towering puffy clouds in the afternoon, you are probably seeing what
kind of cloud?
A cumulonimbus Cloud.
What does this mean for the weather forecast this afternoon and early evening?
Cumulonimbus clouds are mostly affiliated with thunderstorms, lightning, heavy
rainfall, blizzard or hail. The forecast should reflect rain or chances of rain.
14) What is a weather satellite and how does it help us make forecasts?
A weather satellite is used by meteorologists to gather information about the weather.
Weather satellites give meteorologists a view of weather patterns over a very large
area. This enables meteorologists to track large weather patterns and make more
accurate predictions of future weather behavior.
15) How do computers help weather forecasting?
Using computers in meteorology helps weather forecasters analyze the atmosphere by
drawing weather maps separately for each of several atmospheric levels. Then the
computer can put it all together and generate a prediction.
Can we just let the computer tell us what the weather will be without human
Socrates s Theory Of Justice
In Plato s Republic, Socrates argues for the importance of living a just life.
However, Glaucon asks why any person favors the just life over an unjust one.
Glaucon would like an answer regarding this type of justice, and if it is good only
for its results or good in itself. Socrates argues that justice in the individual is the
balance between sprit, reason, and desire (scc. 435a). Socrates account of justice,
displays a life in which a justice provides benefits not only for the individual, but
also society. In this case, Socrates account of justice, does not provide a sufficient
reason to be just. Socrates parallel of justice and health cannot answer Glaucon s
request fully. Therefore, without sufficiently proving the inherent good of justice his
claim falls apart.
Socrates account of justice stems from Glaucon s arrangement of the three categories
of goods: inherently good, pleasurable, or both. Glaucon asks if there is any value in
simply being a just person, he comes to find that if a person can be unjust and get
away with it then the unjust life is better. The first of its three categories is meant
for the things that are a kind of good we like for its own sake (scc.357c) . The
second category is for what s good as a result of their consequences such as exercise
for fitness and sex for pleasure and children. The highest category is for things that
are both good in themselves and because of their consequences. Continuing the

Negative Effects Of Steroids On An Athlete s Body

Comparing Dostoyevsky s Leviathan And The Grand
Inquisitor
Introduction
The books Leviathan by Thomas Hobbes and The Grand Inquisitor by Fyodor
Dostoyevsky intensely discuss the two authors one sided views on what they believe
the state of nature is about. They question whether human beings are authentic or
inauthentic before or without having connections to a political, religious, economic,
or social group. In Leviathan, Hobbes writes about his perceptions on the state of
nature. He believes the state of nature is characterized by man against man, [M.A.
Soupios], where every person looks out for themselves and their well being first.
This was during a time where both Hobbes and Dostoyevsky were living in a turmoil
century, there were constant and violent conditions of hate, sneakiness and everyone

The Sovereign should have the most power and that every man ought to
endeavour peace, as far as he has hope of obtaining it; and when he cannot obtain
it, that he may seek and use all helps and advantages of war. [p. 190] He strongly
believes in control of a higher authority to maintain an ideal state of nature, he
believes that man fears and mistrusts every other man in the real world and that
there is no such thing as injury or justice, he even goes on to state that it is absurd .
Hobbes believes the Law of Nature is that the authority of the sovereign is absolute
, in the sense that no authority is above the sovereign and that its will is law.
Hobbes says, that every man has a right to every thing; even to one another s body.
And therefore, as long as this natural right of every man to every thing endureth,
there can be no security to any man. [p.190] In this quote he means that in the state
of nature you have no (human) rights of property, self, and everyone else has a
right to what you take as yours. This goes alongside Hobbes controlled ideological
views of an ideal state. Hobbes discuses the mutual transferring of rights where a
social contract subsequently leads man to leave the state of nature, and enter into a
contract to transfer the right to thing, exchanges of goods or land and money. He
goes against this as he feels that man may become dependent on things, subsequently
it will threaten and perhaps collapse the sovereignty because the power of it is
compromised and wont be able to protect

Thomas Edison s Monopoly In Film In The 19th Century
In the early years of the 20th century, Thomas Edison s monopoly in film was being
constantly challenged. Amid various patent and copyright infringement lawsuits,
Edison sought to preserve his monopoly by setting up exclusive organizations to cut
out his competition. As film transitioned from a technological novelty to a form of
art, Edison s insistence on protecting his patents diverted his attention from a film
industry that was rapidly focusing on artistic value, leading directly to his relegation
from the film industry.
Film making has its roots in photography. Over the 19th century, photography was
developed as a scientific tool. In 1878, Eadwaerd Muybridge s The Horse in Motion,

his camera/projector combination, the Cineograph. Other rival companies included
Selig Polyscope Company and the American Vitagraph Company. The competition
was focused around the filming equipment since it was the primary source of
revenue. In 1898, Edison file a suit against Dickson s American Mutoscope Company
for patent infringement on the Kinetograph. A court ruling in 1901 confirmed the
patent infringement that was overturned after an appeal from Dickson in 1902. This
reversal ended Edison s monopoly on the motion picture camera. Edison also fought
numerous copyright battle with Lubin. Up until then, Edison had been copyrighting
his films as photographs and submitting paper prints to the Library of Congress.
Motion pictures were not recognized under the Copyright Act until the Townsend
Amendment of 1912. This was the premise Lubin used to dupe Edison s films. This
case set a legal precedent declaring film to be a new form of photography. However,
the duping did not stop here. With increasing legal expenses and the courts inability
to standardize the market, Edison sought out to do it himself leading to the formation

Essay Comparing My Last Duchess And My Ex-Husband
My Last Duchess, written by Robert Browning, is simply about a male who was
not specially treasured by his, now dead, spouse. The parody of Browning s poem,
My Ex Husband, written by Gabriel Spera, is in a woman s point of view
pondering on a past relationship where she felt she was not properly respected. In
both poems, the speakers are reflecting on past relationship conflicts pertaining to the
importance they had in their spouse s lives. The speakers in My Last Duchess and
My Ex Husbandeach have different personalities and values, which prompts each
individual to react in different ways.
In Browning s poem, My Last Duchess, the speaker is concerned with the rank of
importance he acquires in his wife s life. The speaker s personality comes off as
angry, self centered, and greatly annoyed. One time the speaker portrays these an
annoyed quality is when he stated as if she ranked my gift of a nine hundred years
old name with anybody s gift (Browning, 33 34). The speaker s spouse was brought
equal amounts of joy by marriage as she was by the little things in life. The speaker

wife could not give to him. For this reasons, the relationship was ended for the better

The Impact of Negro Spirituals on Today s Music Essay
The Impact of Negro Spirituals on Today s Music
I believe that it would be difficult for someone to make the argument that Negro
spirituals have not been influential in the field of music, much less the realm of
gospel music today. However, church members often do not make the time to reflect
on the heritage of a hymn or song to realize the meaning that the particular piece has
carried with it through the decades, even centuries. With this in mind, I am going to
look at the history of the Negro spiritual and then at specific hymns in the 1991
Baptist Hymnal, published by Convention Press, to see just what impact the Negro
spiritual has had on today s church music. I believe that we will find that these songs
have had a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At first, however, slaves were not using their music to glorify the God worshipped
by their masters. Obviously, they had brought their religion with them, one
considered pagan and inappropriate by Christians in the American colonies.
Christian missionaries were very disapproving regarding the religious practices of
the slaves, and they began to verbalize their disapproval and work to convert the
new African slaves. Seventeenth century author Morgan Godwin describes their
religious practices thus: . . . nothing is more barbarous, and contrary to Christianity,
than their . . . Idolatrous Dances, and Revels; in which they usually spend the
Sunday . . . And here, that I may not be thought too rashly to impute Idolatry to their
Dances, my Conjecture is raised upon this ground . . . for that they use their Dances
as a means to procure Rain: Some of them having been known to beg this Liberty

owners did not immediately set out to influence the religious practices of their slaves;
however, it would not be long before the masters began to insist that their slaves
practice their religion, Christianity.
I have found very little regarding the reception of the Africans to Christianity;
nevertheless, they were converted, and their music changed to
The Art Of Paul Cezanne
Introduction Henri Matisse and Pablo Picasso were both profoundly influenced by
the art of Paul CГ©zanne, somewhat ironically since the latter is reported to have
been quite uncertain of his artistic contributions and anxious about his legacies
(Merleau Ponty, 1945). Picasso described CГ©zanne as my one and only master ;
while Matisse noted that it is undoubtedly to CГ©zanne that I owe the most . The
Large Bathers was one of two final paintings produced by CГ©zanne in 1906, the
year of his death. At this stage Matisse had acquired a reputation as an upcoming
artistic leader via an exhibition in 1905 (Bio, n.d. #1); while Picasso was a 25 year
old prodigy who had already secured lucrative patronage (Bio, n.d. #2). The three
paintings of interest must be considered in the context of their artists evolution. To
examine the relationship between the three paintings, I will first briefly summarise
the artistic trends of the day to provide context, then examine The Large Bathers. I
will then compare and contrast Matisse s Bonheur de Vivre and Picasso s Les

The Wind Power Of Wind Turbines And Wind Farms
I.The nature of noise related symptoms in residents who reside within a certain
proximity to wind turbines and wind farms.
Over the past several decades, there has been a resurgence in wind power. This
technology is a clean renewable energy source that does not contribute to global
warming nor does it create any harmful wastes. As communities look to identify safe
renewable energy sources many have turned to wind power; inspired by the numerous
benefits and perceived benign risks many have attempted to harness wind power
through wind turbines and wind farms. As the Sun heats the Earth it creates wind.
Due to the changing seasons and moving cloud coverage, the sun heats the Earth
unevenly and this uneven heating, in addition to the Earth s rotation, causes warmer
air to move toward cooler air resulting in wind. Although wind power is not new,
technological advancements have altered the image of the traditional windmill and
have created new obstacles and environmental concerns for local residents.
Wind power is harnessed using wind turbines, which transforms the energy into
electrical power. Wind turbines are typically designed either on a horizontal axis or a
vertical axis. According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, horizontal axis
wind turbines have either two or three long blades that collect the energy in the wind
and convert it to electricity. Additionally, the blades spin when the wind blows over
them and the energy of motion contained in the
The Global Catch Of Shrimp Species
1.Introduction
Penaeid shrimps (Family Penaeidae: Rafinesque, 1815) are the most economically
important crustaceans in the world as a primitive group of decapod (Abele, 1991;
Chan, 1998; Dall et al., 1990). The family has a world wide distribution in shallow,
inshore tropical and subtropical waters. The highest diversity of the family
members occurs in the Indo West Pacific region with about 205 species grouped
into 26 genera (Farfante and Kensley, 1997; Martin and Davis, 2001; McLaughlin et
al., 2005; Nizinski, 2003). The global catch of shrimp species is about 3.4 million tons
/year. More than half of which are caught from the Western and Northwest Central
Pacific fisheries, besides the contribution of other essential fisheries in the Indian and
in the Western Atlantic Oceans (FAO, 2014).
Shrimps remain to be the largest single product in value terms accounting about 15 %
of the internationally traded fisheries products in 2012. Moreover, shrimps are
primarily produced in developing countries, and much of this production
progressively expands in the international trade. As the economic conditions develop
in these countries, growing demand leads to high domestic consumption leading to
fewer exports. Such high demand and the subsequent overexploitation are negatively
impacting the standing stocks of shrimp which fall below the healthy standard levels.
This requires regular monitoring, assessment and management of each species to
keep tracking of the effects of such
Role Of Medieval Women Essay
Medieval Women: Life, Love, and Liberties
Introduction
Women, the true caregivers, and limitless supporters of mankind. everywhere. No
matter the cost, women will give 110% percent of themselves on a daily basis to
provide for their loved ones. Without their love and commitment, we would all
become nothingness. Unfortunately, our colonial and social past depicts a different
image of our God given angels. In the Medieval time period, women had to endure a
rough life filled with mental abuse, arranged marriages, and subsequent prostitution.
This essay illustrates the responsibilities and ideas thrown on women in the Medieval
time period.
Roles of Women
Men, throughout Medieval literature, have been portrayed as the sole breadwinners
and the all powerful authority. From early ages, men instilled the idea that women
were inferior to them and their main objective was to serve man and bear children.
Though considered subordinate to men, medieval women made important
contributions that could not be overlooked. They ran manors, managed businesses,
and worked in the fields alongside men. But no matter a woman s place in society, she
was also expected to look after the household. (Newby, Web 2001). Being
subordinate to men, women did not have many rights and liberties. They did not
have a say on who they married or even have a choice in whether or not they wanted
to. Women were not given an education unless born into the Noble clergy or became
a part of the covenant. Even so, the
Religious Beliefs And Practices Of The Norse
People who lived in the Scandinavian area during the Nordic Middle Ages were
mostly associated with being Vikings. Vikings were known for being people who
would pillage and raid the homes and towns of their enemies. Throughout history,
Vikings have been considered as barbarians. What many people do not realize was
that the Norse people were interested in magic. There were many popular witchcraft
beliefs and practices that were discussed by historians; Historian Stephen Mitchell is
one of the most popular historians who discussed the witchcraft and beliefs and
practices of the Norse. Like Mitchell, the authors of the books and articles about the
Norse people used a variety of primary and secondary sources to help make their
arguments. Some... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In Scandinavia women were thought to be evil if they had a higher power role in
society over men. This is displayed in Scandinavian literature about the story of
Queen Gunnhilder, in her stories she was described as being malevolent and her
nickname was Destructive Prima Donna by one scholar. A real life example would
be an incident that occurred in 1466. A woman named Г†lseby, called another man
s wife a wretch which in Norse means (sklak), and the son of a whore. Г†lseby was
once again causing trouble a few years after this previous incident; after another
woman had said to Г†lseby that she was a tramp who wished her husband dead ,
Г†lseby went to the woman s house and started beating her up. Many would
stereotype Г†lseby has a quarrelsome woman who is commonly associated with
being a witch. Mitchell takes Г†lseby behavior a step further by referencing other
scholars who said that back during this time period women like Г†lseby who was
regarded as contentious, outspoken, troublesome... were considered to be evil
women. As previously mentioned, many historians who write about witch hunting
often come across various works about witchcraft beliefs from witch hunters who
believed that women had sexual relations with the devil or other demons and spirits.

Summary of Wind Power Puffery by H. Sterling Burnett
Many believe that wind power is the best solution to this world s problem it helps fuel
infrastructures without causing air pollution and reduces greenhouse gas emission

environmental benefits are usually overstated, while its significant environmental
harms are often ignored (247). Burnett implies there are problems that come
attached to wind power; the main one being wind towers only generate power
within a certain range of wind speed. He adds that wind towers being shut off due to
wind speeds results in fossil fuel powered stations
Cold Mountain by Charles Frazier Essay example
Cold Mountain
In Charles Frazier s Cold Mountain, the theme of music is one of the novel s most
powerful themes. From symbolizing character growth to the healing of physical
wounds, music plays an integral part in this novel. While many critics will point out
that music has little effect on the human psyche, Charles Frazier shows his belief that
music does indeed have a profound effect on the human mind throughout Cold
Mountain. Throughout the novel, Inman, Ada, Ruby, Stobrod, and many other
characters experience music that allows them to keep faith against the odds or even
heal their wounds! There are three major types of music used in this novel; hymn
music, folk music, and natural music . It is through these types of music that ... Show

But Monroe preached that they were misunderstanding the song if they fooled
themselves into thinking all creation would someday love them. What it really
required was for them to love all creation (78). Monroe used the hymns of his
church as a means to spread his ideas of how people ought to live their lives. This
pattern is also apparent with Inman. When he meets Swimmer, a Native American,
he learns of a chant that could kill the soul of an enemy (20). Inman cannot accept
this notion because he had been taught by sermon and hymn to hold as truth that
the soul of man never dies (20). Charles Frazier believed in the power of hymn to
influence what people believed about spirituality and the soul. This parallels the
historical usage of hymns in church during the Civil War as well as in today s
church as a means to pass down culture. Hymn music also had the ability to
strengthen the Church and to solidify the beliefs of the parishioners. There is a large
disagreement over the influence of religious music over a person s beliefs. The
evangelical song leaders believed that religious music moved people with no faith
to a life dedicated to praising God, but people from outside the church described
religious music as cheap and tawdry (Squire 242). According to the United
Evangelical Front religious music was a way to articulate God s plan and extend the
influence of religion outside of the church

Republican Presidential Debate Analysis
The Republican Presidential Debate was, as always, an intriguing experience for its
viewers. America has found itself in the odd position of having nine presidential
candidates from the Republican Party. Leaving politics (mostly) aside, it became
clear that most of these candidates rely on inspiring and capitalizing on the fears of
their voters. This conclusion is drawn from the fact that these candidates are poor
seemingly poor communicators. They are unfocused and unoriginal with their
platforms. The only defining characteristics are their various levels of confidence,
poise, and their body movements. As previously mentioned, the candidates lacked
focus. A common theme at the debate was their indirect responses. When asked a
question, the candidates would engage in a monologue criticizing the Democratic
Party (popular targets were Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama). The candidates
frequently went over their allotted response time without offering a substantive
response to questions asked of them. Marco Rubio was especially guilty of this, as
evidenced by moderators chiding him for being off topic. When asked of the country
s financial situation, Rubio, Bush, and Cruz fervently agreed that Clinton should be
banned from the White House and the military needed to be rebuilt. However, there

There was a somewhat organized flow for these rants. The candidates started with
how horrible the Democrats were, especially Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.
They then progressed to how the military needed to be rebuilt and which one loved
the military more. Then they reached personal attacks. While very little of this had
anything to with the questions directed towards them, it did show that the party is
united on some topics, despite their unoriginality in finding common

Women Have the Burden of Birth Control
Worrying about getting pregnant is a pain that everyone who is sexually active has to
face, or should face. The question is, who does that burden of worrying about getting
pregnant fall on. As evidence will show, women take most of the burden or
responsibility when it comes to providing contraception during sex. Women have
more invested when it comes to sex due to the consequences that result from failing to
protect against pregnancy. Looking at the burden of contraception in four different
ways, the time involved, the cost of birth control, the physical side effects of
contraception, and the effect due to failure of contraception.

Some men and/or women have allergic reactions to the rubber used to make latex
condoms (Condoms).
Birth control is not 100% effective, it can fail just like any other form of
contraception. Birth control pills contain two hormones estrogen and progestin.
The different types of birth control pills a woman can take all have different
amounts of each hormone. As a woman gets older her body s hormones that it
naturally produces will change causing the amount of each hormone that is needed
to change, because of the changing hormone levels, it can cause a women s birth
control pills to be unreliable. This increases the female s chance of getting
pregnant. Also, if a female forgets to take an active pill one day it can cause
pregnancy to occur for up to seven days after a missed pill, if no back up method is
used (Detailed Patient Labeling Norgestmate And Ethinyl Estradiol Tablets USP

100% effective, and it can fail just like any other form of contraception. Condoms
can be put on wrong which weakens the condoms stability. Condoms can also expire
and if not kept in the right environments can go bad before the expiration date. Also
condoms can break relatively easily if used incorrectly.
Some people feel that it should be the female s responsibility to provide the
contraception during sex because females have more options then men do. Females
can choose from birth control pills, the birth

Iron Man Research Paper
Iron Man is a superhero with iron on the outside of his body. If he had too much
iron on the inside of his body he would have hemochromatosis. The iron that Iron
Man uses helps to give him strength and protect his body. Having too much iron
inside your body will hurt you. Iron man fights to keep his life as do people who
are diagnosed with hemochromatosis a life threatening genetic disorder.
Hemochromatosis is a genetic disorder where you body absorbs excess iron from
the food that you eat. Your body then stores the excess iron in your crucial organs
like your heart, brian, pancreas, and liver. Your body also stores the iron in your
joints. If too much iron were to accumulate in any of your vital organs it could lead
to organ failure and even... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Primary/Hereditary Hemochromatosis is passed down to offspring through autosomal
recessive pattern. Which means that the affected child received one part of the
mutated HFE (or High Iron) gene from each parent. Since neither parent had both
parts of the mutation then neither of them showed any symptoms, but since they
both passed on the faulty gene the child was affected. Secondary Hemochromatosis
can be caused due to excessive alcohol use, intake of excessive iron or Vitamin C,
oral contraceptives, and blood transfusions (which is ironic because one of the only
ways to treat Hemochromatosis is blood transfusions). The symptoms of Primary
/Hereditary Hemochromatosis are usually seen around age forty. The early symptoms
include: Joint and Abdominal pain (due to iron buildup), Fatigue, Weakness, and Skin
Pigmentation. Skin Pigmentation is the discoloration of your skin due to iron build
up affecting the Melanin producing cells in your body, causing them to not work
right, causing Skin Pigmentation. Some of the later symptoms include: Heart and
Liver failure (due to the iron build up), impotence, and Diabetes Mellitus. These
symptoms can be avoided if Hemochromatosis is diagnosed at an early
Persuasive Essay On Recycled Water
Did you know that the average American household uses 400 gallons of water per
day? With most of it being used in the bathroom for bathing, toilet flushing,
handwashing and brushing of teeth! Other common uses for water include laundry,
dishwashing, drinking, cooking, car washing and even watering of lawns. Where
does this water go? A small portion will go back into the earth but most of it will
flow through a sewer system heading to a sewage treatmentplant to eventually be
reused. In California, we get our water from a surface water source, coming from a
river, lake, or reservoir. With the yearly average amount of rain and snow at 30
inches and shrinking per year, this makes water recycling a priority in today s efforts
on conservation. So, what is recycled water?
Recycled water is former wastewater that has gone through a process to remove
contaminants so that it can be used for other purposes such as irrigation for crops
and landscape ( Water Recycling and Reuse ). Another source of recycled water is
gray water, which is reusable wastewater from residential, commercial and industrial
bathroom sinks, bath tub shower drains and clothes washing equipment drains (
Water Recycling and Reuse ). The treatment process includes three steps, first any
solids are removed from the water. Secondly, microorganisms are added to the water
to eat dirt particles and as they get fatter, they ll fall to the bottom of the tank, leaving
cleaner water rising to the top. Lastly, water is
Sacrifice In Duty, Humility, And Tax
Many people do not realize that they sacrifice something every single day, whether
its not texting at the dinner table or saving their money just to buy their loved one a
gift. There are many forms of sacrifice that provide a different feeling each time
someone sacrifices in a different way. Although one must know the proper time to
sacrificesomething without expecting to be rewarded.
There are many types of different sacrifices that one must learn about in order to
achieve a feeling of accomplishment each time one gives something up. For
example duty, humility, and tax are all different types of sacrifice. When you must
give up your free time in order to get something done this is considered duty
sacrifice. Duty sacrifice is the most common because it occurs on a daily basis and
increases with age. For instance, doing homework rather than going to the movies
with friends or going to work on someones birthday. Then there is the sacrifice of
humility, this is giving up your pride in order to achieve something. An example of
this would be choosing a peers idea over your own in a group project. This kind of
sacrifice is not common yet it still occurs. Lastly there is tax sacrifice which is
paying money in order to purchase something that is necessary . This could be
paying a bill or buying school supplies when you want to purchase the new video
game that just came out. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Yet when you willingly sacrifice most sacrifices may come with a positive
outcome. First of all, if something bad happens while you sacrifice it could be a
learning experience and you will know what went wrong next time Also when you

money for other desires once you buy what you wanted you will feel accomplished.
Also, when you admit you are wrong there may be a positive outcome from

The Importance Of Folk Music
The reason why history exists is because some people felt that certain events were
so important that they must be recorded down for future generations to see. Many
forms of history exist in typical forms such as text or photos, but some of history s
defining moments are displayed in the form of art. In the past before a written
language was formed people passed down their history through oral means such as
stories and music. Music especially played a role in the passing down of history
because it was easy to remember things to the beat of a song. The reason why so
many people remember the lyrics to a song rather than what they studied for a
history exam they have coming up is because our brain can connect the lyrics to the
beat which makes it easier to remember. One form of song which can play a huge
role in a society s history and culture is folk music. Folk music defines the culture of
the society and the history behind it. They tell a story of a key person, place, thing,
or event that has occurred in that community and the impact it has had on that
community. Because of their impact on society historians research a places folk
music in order to get a better grasp on what made that place into what it is.
Therefore, folk songs are just as legitimate to history as written documents and
provide a unique knowledge that may not be understood by just reading documents.
Many historians spend time researching about a place or event by looking at written
forms of primary
Strategic Direction And Global Security Environment
Joint Force 2025 must be capable of addressing emerging threats by conducting
globally integrated operations across all domains in support of the elements of
national power. Therefore, the Department of Defense (DOD) needs to rebalance and
transition several general capabilities in order for Joint Force 2025 to address
emerging threats to U.S. national interests. The services must invest in systems that
maintain strategic deterrence, infrastructure that supports power projection and
operational concepts that advance wide spectrum operations in order to support

them against available resources (means) and risk. Finally, the CCJO outlines a

development implications and risks within the context of the future global security
environment.
Based on current resources and predicted security environment Joint Force 2025
should focus on the following capabilities. The Army and Marines should extend the
service life of certain weapons capabilities while enhancing integrated air missile
defense, in addition to combat vehicle improvements and purchases. The Navy should
enhance surface and sub surface systems and operations, increase the lethality of the
surface fleet and develop redundant communication and navigation systems. The Air
Force should extend the service life of certain weapons capabilities, enhance
unmanned aerial systems and operations and modernize its nuclear force. The Army
and Marines face a rapidly changing operational environment, requiring difficult
decisions on how to allocate limited resources to address emerging capabilities and
remain a relevant element of national power. While there is no way to predict exactly
what capabilities they will need in the future, history indicates that land forces will be
Weaknesses Of The French Crown
Importance of the Weaknesses of the French Crown in Explaining the Outbreak of
the French Wars of Religion in 1562
Previously France had been ruled by Henry II, a strong experienced ruler. It was,
however, an unfortunate jousting accident lead to the swift decline of the French
monarchy. Henry s successor, Francis II, was only fifteen years old on his
accession to the throne in 1559. He was inexperienced and easily manipulated.
Charles IX, a ten year old who relied upon the help of Catherine de Medici, his
regent, then succeeded him. It was this new weak monarchy that acted as a catalyst
for the many underlying problems that had been previously controlled. The

Francis Duke of Guise quickly assumed control of the army, church and foreign
affairs. The Montmorency family had been stripped of office. The sudden shift of
power towards the Guise family heightened tensions between the aristocratic factions.
The monarchy in France operated through a clientage system. The King was at the
apex and he would give money and protection to the clientage beneath him, who, in
return would offer the king loyalty. Those beneath him included large aristocratic
families and below these families were the nobility, and further down still, the lesser
nobility. The three aristocratic families were therefore reliant on the nobility
below them in the system for support. In return they would give offices and jobs to
their clients. Due to a weak monarchy this clientage system broke down. The
clientage system was a good way of exercising control over the major aristocratic
families. However, in order for such a system to function there needed to be a
strong monarch and a large sum of money, neither of which were available in 1559.
After the vast amount of money spent in the Hapsburg Valios wars the royal
treasury was drained of resources. The monarchy not only lacked a strong ruler but
was also economically weak. It meant that the King could no longer keep the
aristocratic families under control by the means of the clientage system. The Guise s,
who had
Inventory And Inventory Control System
INTRODUCTION:
The more inventory a company has... the less likely they will have what they need.
Taichi Ohno
What is Inventory?
Inventory is considered to be the raw materials, work in process goods or completely
finished goods that are a portion of a business s assets that are ready for use or will
be ready for sale to customers.
Possessing huge amount of inventory for longer period of time is not considered to
be usually good for a business because of inventory storage, obsolescence and
spoilage costs. On the other hand, we also need to consider that possessing too little
inventory isn t good either, because the business runs the risk of losing out on
potential sales and potential market shares. (1)
In any organization, Inventory Management is a very important concept that is been
followed and there is a dedicated team that looks after the planning, scheduling and
flow of inventory. Typically there are two standard inventory control systems that are
followed within organizations for effective Inventory Management:
Push System: The main ideology of push inventory control systems is forecasting
inventory needs to satisfy customer demands. Here, companies should make a
prediction as to which product the customers would purchase and also determine the
quantity of products that will be purchased. Everything in a push system is decided
on basis of a prediction and forecasting and that is the major flaw in the system.
These forecasts are often inaccurate as well as

  • 1. Essay Papers Writing an essay on the topic of "Essay Papers" may initially seem paradoxical. It's akin to attempting to paint a canvas that depicts the act of painting itself—a meta-exercise in self- reflection. One must grapple with the challenge of avoiding circular reasoning while exploring the nuances of the essay genre. The inherent difficulty lies in the task of dissecting and analyzing the very medium through which ideas are conveyed, an endeavor that demands a delicate balance between introspection and objectivity. The essayist embarks on a journey to unravel the layers of essay composition—delving into the historical evolution, the diverse forms it takes, and the underlying principles that govern its structure. The act of articulating the intricacies of essay writing becomes an exercise in self- awareness, as one grapples with the paradox of elucidating a form of expression that is simultaneously personal and universal. Furthermore, the essayist must navigate the challenge of avoiding clichГ©s and tired tropes that often plague discussions about writing. Crafting an essay about essay papers requires a nuanced approach to prevent the work from devolving into a mere exercise in tautology. The task becomes a delicate dance between originality and adherence to established conventions. Amidst the introspection, there is the risk of losing sight of the broader context—how essays serve as a vessel for the transmission of ideas, the exploration of arguments, and the articulation of perspectives. The difficulty lies in maintaining a balance between self-analysis and the broader implications of essay writing as a means of communication. In conclusion, tackling the topic of "Essay Papers" in an essay form presents a unique challenge, requiring a delicate dance between self-reflection and the exploration of the broader landscape of written expression. You are like blogger Kevin Cameron and his neighbour that skinned and ate a venomous snake. The unborn babies of this snake are clearly visible in the translucent layer that remains of this snake s skin. The American blogger that lives in Japan said that the snake tasted like a snake but it s not clear what that is really supposed to mean. It might have been delicious for all we know. He also said that he ate the gallbladder of the snake raw because he had heard that it had health benefits. It looks like a snake embryo sausage. • 3. Enough Is Enough Alain De Botton When is Enough, Enough? In his chapter Equality, Expectation, and Envy of his book Status Anxiety, Alain de Botton analyzes the social anxieties of people. In his article, Botton explains the possible causes of these dilemmas, and how these social issues affect our generation today. Throughout the chapter, Botton discusses peoples longing to be better, the impact of equality on the world, and the realistic results of high expectations and hopes. Although modern society seems to have had a tremendous improvement of resources over many generations, people fear that enough is not enough. Society strives for more and better things, even when they already have more and better things. Botton explains that we decide our wants and set our limits by comparing ourselves to our reference groups (Botton 25) A reference group is an assemblage of people in similar conditions as our own. We suddenly become hateful and envious when someone that we correspond and relate to is more dominant and successful than us in whatever way. In addition to comparisons and envy, Botton discusses how we only compare ourselves to people in our reference groups. In our society, it is easy to know when someone may have had more or ... (Botton 27) Although very common today, equality was not an accepted belief in the past. It was presumed that people were born into their position, low or high. Slaves were not considered people and lived a life of servitude; they could not build their way up to a higher position. Aristotle stated in Politics, It is clear that some men are by nature free and others are by nature slaves, and that is for these latter, slavery is both expedient and right (qtd. in Botton

  • 5. Mercutio A Good Friend Analysis A friend is someone who you respect and who respects you. A friend is someone who would stand up for you. In that case, when asked the question, Is Mercutio a good friend to Romeo? , Mercutio fits this definition perfectly. For one, Mercutio stands up for Romeo when he is being verbally attacked by Tybalt. As well as this, Mercutiois willing to look out for Romeo s best interests. Also, Mercutio is someone who lightens the mood of situations and helps to cheer Romeo up when he is feeling sad. Although it can seem like Mercutio is a bad friend to Romeo at times, Mercutio has many great qualities that show his significance to Romeo as a good friend. To begin with, Mercutio is a good friend to Romeo in that he stands up for Romeo when in need. In Act III, Scene I, there is a scene in which Tybalt, Mercutio, and Romeo are conversing. In lines 59 60, Tybalt says, Romeo, the loveI bear thee can afford no better term than this: thou art a villain. This... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As a good friend would, Mercutio tries to look out for and convince Romeo that there are many fish in the sea. You are a lover. Borrow Cupid s wings and soar with them above a common bound. This means that Romeo should try and fly to find someone else instead of Rosaline. As well as this, he gives advice to Romeo for getting over Rosaline and himself. If love be rough with you, be rough with love. Prick love for pricking, and you beat love down. This means that if love plays rough with you, you must play rough back. Once you prick love, you will get over your heartbreak and love. Thus, Mercutio looks out for Romeo s best interests and gives him advice, which aligns him as a good friend to

  • 7. Education Act Of 1944 And The Beginning Of The National... Education in Great Britain has always been a hot topic for discussion and over the years the education system has undergone many changes. This has been down to the political party in power at the time, pressures of a changing society and the subsequent rise and fall of the national economy. The purpose of this essay is to look at how these factors have affected and developed secondary educationin Great Britain starting with a brief overview of the pre 1900 s. Moving through the years in chronological order, the essay will consider various Education Acts and reports, the effect of two World Wars and the controversial Butler Education Act of 1944 when the tripartite systemwas introduced. Prior to 1900 secondary education was virtually non existent, the consensus view at that time was that secondary education was only for boys of the middle and upper classes. The few schools available were fee paying and therefore only an option to those who could afford them. This fuelled the gap in social status and in the opinion of Marxists kept the lower classes in their place so as not to disrupt the economic and social balance. In the 1860 s there were no grammar schools for girls, however due to a slight change in the views of society by 1900 eighty girls schools had been created (Stephens, 1998). The 1870 s saw the development of some of higher grade schools, these had a scientific and technical bias and grants were provided for those whose pupils were successful in the

Regarding the cost benefit analysis approach, it appears to be heavily emphasized in the PeaceTree s budget. The study largely gravitates towards maintaining a due recycling program and elaborating on most optimal recycling strategies, which would give the chance to keep maintenance costs and taxes down for business owners in the City of New Harbor. This study also explores how cultural differences and the knowledge itself that business owners bring to recycling can result in two fold outcomes; the ambiguity consists in enabling, on the one hand, some organizations to overcome barriers to participation and decreasing, on the other hand, others companies ability to overcome barriers to participation in the City of New Harbor, Delaware (Brown, 2013). Thus, recycling activities are fully prepared in order to ensure that the effects of recycling concept are injected into business owners perspective. In the late 1990s, hospitality industry companies did not express concerns about environmental impacts and sustainable techniques necessary to reduce the solid waste (Radwan et al., 2010; Pirani Arafat, 2014). Currently, recycling policies, strongly associated with recovery oriented practices, refer to the collection and reuse of waste materials by business owners. Singh and Lee (2014) distinguish the importance of recycling programs. In particular, they claim that materials for converting into new objects can be accumulated separately from
  • 9. Essay On Punishment Vs. Positivity Punishment vs. Positivity For as long as there has been an educational system, teachers and administration have used various forms of punishment to manage student behavior. In America today, there are fifteen states that that expressly permit the use of corporal punishment and seven more that do not prohibit the use of corporal punishment in schools (Turner, 2016). At the same time, the U.S. Department of Education has established the National Technical Assistance Center on Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports. This variance in the condoning of punishment by the U.S. Government and promotion of Positive Behavior Intervention from the U.S. Department of Education leads to the question of the best way to manage student behaviors in... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Punishment alone fails to show the correct behavior; thus the child is being punished for something, but fails to understand what he should have done. More severe forms of punishment, such as corporal punishment reinforces violence as a solution to a problem (National Association of School Psychologists, 2014) consequently continuing the patterns of violence and disorderly behaviors outside of school. Furthermore, the combination of punishment and lack of positive social interactions, puts children at risk for later life adjustments such as antisocial behavior. (Walker, Colvin, Ramsey, 1995). Finally, the majority of children causing major disruptions in the classroom are lacking in one or more academic area, punishment alone overlooks the academic needs of the child. Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports, here forth referred to as PBIS, is a systematic approach to behavior management through proactive interventions and positive interactions. PBIS is a framework that supports schools in developing common expectations and procedures to promote positive changes in students and teacher behaviors. (Barrett, Bradshaw, Lewis Palmer, 2008). The frame work consists of three tiers: Tier 1 to prevent unwanted behaviors through positive interventions for all students, Tier 2 to provide support for a select group of individuals, and Tier 3 to
  • 10. The Greenhouse Effect On The Environment The greenhouse effect occurs when the major gases such as carbon dioxide, methane, nitrogen oxide and water vapour which then will trap heat in the atmosphere therefore those gasses act as a thick layer outside the planet surrounding the whole planet to control the climate (REF). If we did not have this layer that surrounds the planet and keeps it warm, the temperature would drop and it would not be inhabitable for humans. (REF) Containing this heat causes heat waves, droughts, and climate changes which could change our way of living on this planet. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There are a lot of manmade gasses which have been released into the atmosphere which have added to the green house layers these gasses such as sulphur hexafluoride, hydrofluorocarbons this results in global warming which means heat that would normally be escaping through the greenhouse layers remains trapped which then start to cause the temperature to rise. Increasing the greenhouse effect can lead to global warming and climate change which will change the way we live. Deforestation: There is a lot of manmade gasses and human activities that are causing global warming and climate change such as deforestation, this has many negative effects on the planet and there are a huge amount of reasons why. According to WWO (2016) Humans have used forests for fuel for thousands of years, and 2.6 billion people today still use biomass mainly wood and charcoal for cooking . • 11. Parliament Vs Executive Arguments for the successful parliament checks over the executive: Parliament Ultimately holds a sovereign power over the Executive to create law. Any law created by parliament reigns supreme over all including the functions and laws presiding over the Executive. (provided in the Constitution act 1981). Parliament makes, enforces and adjudicates on its own grounds of procedure, not under the Parliament s rule of law applies to the Executive. The concept of the rule of law is created by parliament and restricts the action of policy formation. One of the key concepts that affect the Executive is that the government must exercise its power according to the law. Broadly, the law and policy must be easily accessed and open to the public. Cabinet, defined as the head of the Executive is sometimes split to form Cabinet committees for issues too broad to discuss on the weekly meeting. When deciding on the formation of cabinet and cabinet committees, the prime minister as the head of cabinet may stack like minded ministers to sway the discussions. Essentially Cabinet committees become much easier to manipulate than control over Cabinet itself, and the PM (body from Exec) is able to guide power over cabinet without interference of parliament. Parliament in some cases can give away the power through delegated legislation responsibilities. Here, we can see a flaw in the separation of powers system as parliament gives away their sovereign power to another body. (usually the Executive) . Parliament acts as an ineffective check on Executive power as they transfer power to the already powerful Executive. This compromises the Doctrine of the separation of powers, this gives the ability to create law to the Executive. Perhaps as a flaw in the system, the process of handing on a delegated legislation is very

Examples Of Emerging Nanotechnology Emerging nanotechnology Introduction Here discussing about the nano technology it can be seen that the world is going global as well as the use of technology is emerging more and more. Here if we talk about the advancements then we can see couple of good example by looking at which we can say that before things were huge, big in number, but now in this competitive era it is noticed that the technology is too vast that everything is fast and small enough that it is hard to imagine sometimes. Moreover, just by looking at a simple example of the super computer, when the first computer was introduced, they were the size of the whole house in US. The point to be noticed is that right now everything that supercomputer does, can be done by our smartphones. That is amazing Yes, it does. This is how the technology changes, starting from micro chips, till the medical usage everything now in this competitive world have changed and it can be seen that best of the examples which the humans are saved with the help of nano technology in the world. Many surgeries are done without even a cut in to the human body and they are successful as well. It can be seen that up till now almost 1.2 billion dollars is being spent on the innovativeness by US every year. This not only all the developed countries are initiating and looking towards the better technology in this case as well (Wilson, Kannangara, Smith, Simmons, Raguse, 2002). • 13. Controversiality In Othello Controversiality is something that Shakespeare has conquered in all of his plays. Most of these controversial things have to women and the treatment of them. Some of the biggest ones are King Lear, Hamlet, and Othello. These plays show how Shakespeare portrays women. Women are an essential part of everyone s lives because they are the ones that give birth to the people of this world. In these three plays especially it is told how women were treated back then. These plays have a variety of stories, but really they are the same plot line with different characters. Women are treated in these plays like they were treated in the Elizabethan Era, which wasn t good. They couldn t talk unless they were talked to first and they were not able to do anything... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... treating women in many plays is a controversial topic, because it is hard to portray them as equals to men. Which, sometimes comes across as the women are being treated badly. In Othello, this miscommunication is not present. This is because the treatment of women here is pretty neutral. According to a feminist reading of this play, In the Elizabethian era . . . women were expected to be silent, chaste, and obedient to their husbands, fathers, brothers, and all men in general . . . As we go through Othello we find that the women characters are presented according to this expectation of the Elizabethan society (Feminist). This quote shows that the treatment of women in this play matches the way that the women were treated in the Elizabethan Era, which wasn t bad, but wasn t good. They were treated like they weren t there really. They could only talk if they were talked to and they were too do everything that the man said. If they didn t do these things then they were to be punished. The punishment could be anything really, whatever the man decided to do. In the Elizabethan Era it was also expected that the women were to get married, this was their sole purpose for being on Earth. This play resembles that because everyone doesn t take it well when Beatrice says that she is not going to get married, If they have not a

Beowulf Christian Influence Essay Christian Influence on Beowulf and The Saga of King Hrolf Kraki In Beowulf the Christian influence is revealed through approximately 70 passages in which the form of expression or the thought suggests Christian usage or doctrine (Blackburn 3); The Saga of King Hrolf Kraki is in its own way infused with Christian values even though it preserves remnants of the cult of Odin. The Christian element seems to be too deeply interwoven in the text of Beowulf for us to suppose that it is due to additions made by scribes at a time when the poem had come to be written down. The Christian element had to be included by the original poet or by minstrels who recited it in later times. The extent to which the Christian element is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... E. Talbot Donaldson says: Yet there is no reference to the New Testament to Christ and His Sacrifice which are the real bases of Christianity in any intelligible sense of the term. (Bloom 1). The minstrels who introduced the Christian element probably had but a vague knowledge of Christianity, much of it probably coming from other poets who were Christian, like Caedmon, who is mentioned in Bede s The Ecclesiastical History of the English People (215 18). Caedmon s Hymn has but few lines extant: . . . the power of the Creator, the profound mind of the glorious Father, who fashioned the beginning of every wonder, the eternal Lord. For the children of men he made first heaven as a roof, the holy Creator. . . .(Alexander 6) The Christian references in Beowulf include four allusions to Genesis, including the Creation, Cain and Abel and the Flood. There are dozens of references to God in the Christian sense, plus other epithets for God: lord, father, creator, ruler, almighty, ruler of men, ruler of glory, shepherd of glory, king of glory, guider of the heavens, ruler of victories, king of victories (Chadwick 24). While the poet s reflections and characters statements are mostly Christian, the customs and ceremonies, on the other hand, are almost entirely heathen/pagan (Ward v1,ch3,s3,n17): At the beginning of the poem, there is the account of the pagan funeral rites of Scyld

  • 18. Different Types Of Media That Can Be Used For Connect... What are the different types of media that can be used to connect different computers together into a computer network? There are four basic types of connection media that are used for connecting separate computers together on the same computer network. Both categories are copper cabling, fiber optic cabling, wireless signal, and infrared signals. The first two types of connection media on our lives are known as bounded network media because they both use wire of some sort in order to connect or bound one computer to another on a network. Copper cables are the most commonly used of the four types of network connection media. Copper cabling sends data in binary format from one computer system on a network to another through the use of electrical signals. Fiber optic cabling follows copper cabling when it comes to frequency of use. Fiber optic cable has a completely different configuration for transferring binary data across the network from one computer system to another computer system. Unlike copper cable fiber optic cable does not use electrical signals when encoding binary data instead it transmits the data as pulses of light. Fiber optic cables transmit the binary data as light pulses in a similar fashion to the way copper cables use electrical pulses to transmit binary data. The next two types of connection media are known as unbounded network media due to the fact that they do not use any type of physical wiring to connect the different computer systems on a

A mirage is a naturally occurring optical phenomenon in which light rays are bent to produce a displaced image of distant objects or the sky. Mirages appear at very low viewing angles, when you are far away. As you approach, the viewing angle increases and the mirage disappears, or moves farther away. Glaucon would like an answer regarding this type of justice, and if it is good only for its results or good in itself. Socrates argues that justice in the individual is the balance between sprit, reason, and desire (scc. 435a). Socrates account of justice, displays a life in which a justice provides benefits not only for the individual, but also society. In this case, Socrates account of justice, does not provide a sufficient reason to be just. Socrates parallel of justice and health cannot answer Glaucon s request fully. Therefore, without sufficiently proving the inherent good of justice his claim falls apart. Socrates account of justice stems from Glaucon s arrangement of the three categories of goods: inherently good, pleasurable, or both. Glaucon asks if there is any value in simply being a just person, he comes to find that if a person can be unjust and get away with it then the unjust life is better. The first of its three categories is meant for the things that are a kind of good we like for its own sake (scc.357c) . The second category is for what s good as a result of their consequences such as exercise for fitness and sex for pleasure and children. The highest category is for things that are both good in themselves and because of their consequences. Continuing the challenge and reinforcing his second

Hobbes believes the Law of Nature is that the authority of the sovereign is absolute , in the sense that no authority is above the sovereign and that its will is law. Hobbes says, that every man has a right to every thing; even to one another s body. And therefore, as long as this natural right of every man to every thing endureth, there can be no security to any man. This goes alongside Hobbes controlled ideological views of an ideal state. Hobbes discuses the mutual transferring of rights where a social contract subsequently leads man to leave the state of nature, and enter into a contract to transfer the right to thing, exchanges of goods or land and money. He goes against this as he feels that man may become dependent on things, subsequently it will threaten and perhaps collapse the sovereignty because the power of it is compromised and wont be able to protect

Amid various patent and copyright infringement lawsuits, Edison sought to preserve his monopoly by setting up exclusive organizations to cut out his competition. As film transitioned from a technological novelty to a form of art, Edison s insistence on protecting his patents diverted his attention from a film industry that was rapidly focusing on artistic value, leading directly to his relegation from the film industry. A court ruling in 1901 confirmed the patent infringement that was overturned after an appeal from Dickson in 1902. This reversal ended Edison s monopoly on the motion picture camera. Edison also fought numerous copyright battle with Lubin. Up until then, Edison had been copyrighting his films as photographs and submitting paper prints to the Library of Congress. Motion pictures were not recognized under the Copyright Act until the Townsend Amendment of 1912. This was the premise Lubin used to dupe Edison s films. This case set a legal precedent declaring film to be a new form of photography. However, the duping did not stop here. With increasing legal expenses and the courts inability to standardize the market, Edison sought out to do it himself leading to the formation of the Motion Picture Patents Company or the Trust in

Over the past several decades, there has been a resurgence in wind power. This technology is a clean renewable energy source that does not contribute to global warming nor does it create any harmful wastes. As communities look to identify safe renewable energy sources many have turned to wind power; inspired by the numerous benefits and perceived benign risks many have attempted to harness wind power through wind turbines and wind farms. As the Sun heats the Earth it creates wind. Due to the changing seasons and moving cloud coverage, the sun heats the Earth unevenly and this uneven heating, in addition to the Earth s rotation, causes warmer air to move toward cooler air resulting in wind. Although wind power is not new, technological advancements have altered the image of the traditional windmill and have created new obstacles and environmental concerns for local residents. Wind power is harnessed using wind turbines, which transforms the energy into electrical power. Wind turbines are typically designed either on a horizontal axis or a vertical axis. The family has a world wide distribution in shallow, inshore tropical and subtropical waters. The highest diversity of the family members occurs in the Indo West Pacific region with about 205 species grouped into 26 genera (Farfante and Kensley, 1997; Martin and Davis, 2001; McLaughlin et al., 2005; Nizinski, 2003). The global catch of shrimp species is about 3.4 million tons /year. More than half of which are caught from the Western and Northwest Central Pacific fisheries, besides the contribution of other essential fisheries in the Indian and in the Western Atlantic Oceans (FAO, 2014). Shrimps remain to be the largest single product in value terms accounting about 15 % of the internationally traded fisheries products in 2012. Moreover, shrimps are primarily produced in developing countries, and much of this production progressively expands in the international trade. As the economic conditions develop in these countries, growing demand leads to high domestic consumption leading to fewer exports. Such high demand and the subsequent overexploitation are negatively impacting the standing stocks of shrimp which fall below the healthy standard levels. This requires regular monitoring, assessment and management of each species to keep tracking of the effects of such

No matter the cost, women will give 110% percent of themselves on a daily basis to provide for their loved ones. Without their love and commitment, we would all become nothingness. Unfortunately, our colonial and social past depicts a different image of our God given angels. In the Medieval time period, women had to endure a rough life filled with mental abuse, arranged marriages, and subsequent prostitution. This essay illustrates the responsibilities and ideas thrown on women in the Medieval time period. Roles of Women Men, throughout Medieval literature, have been portrayed as the sole breadwinners and the all powerful authority. From early ages, men instilled the idea that women were inferior to them and their main objective was to serve man and bear children. Though considered subordinate to men, medieval women made important contributions that could not be overlooked. They ran manors, managed businesses, and worked in the fields alongside men. But no matter a woman s place in society, she was also expected to look after the household. (Newby, Web 2001). Being subordinate to men, women did not have many rights and liberties. They did not have a say on who they married or even have a choice in whether or not they wanted to. Women were not given an education unless born into the Noble clergy or became a part of the covenant. Even so, the

This is displayed in Scandinavian literature about the story of Queen Gunnhilder, in her stories she was described as being malevolent and her nickname was Destructive Prima Donna by one scholar. A real life example would be an incident that occurred in 1466. A woman named Г†lseby, called another man s wife a wretch which in Norse means (sklak), and the son of a whore. Г†lseby was once again causing trouble a few years after this previous incident; after another woman had said to Г†lseby that she was a tramp who wished her husband dead , Г†lseby went to the woman s house and started beating her up. Many would stereotype Г†lseby has a quarrelsome woman who is commonly associated with being a witch. Mitchell takes Г†lseby behavior a step further by referencing other scholars who said that back during this time period women like Г†lseby who was regarded as contentious, outspoken, troublesome... were considered to be evil women. As previously mentioned, many historians who write about witch hunting often come across various works about witchcraft beliefs from witch hunters who believed that women had sexual relations with the devil or other demons and spirits. From symbolizing character growth to the healing of physical wounds, music plays an integral part in this novel. While many critics will point out that music has little effect on the human psyche, Charles Frazier shows his belief that music does indeed have a profound effect on the human mind throughout Cold Mountain. Throughout the novel, Inman, Ada, Ruby, Stobrod, and many other characters experience music that allows them to keep faith against the odds or even heal their wounds! But Monroe preached that they were misunderstanding the song if they fooled themselves into thinking all creation would someday love them. What it really required was for them to love all creation (78). Monroe used the hymns of his church as a means to spread his ideas of how people ought to live their lives. This pattern is also apparent with Inman. When he meets Swimmer, a Native American, he learns of a chant that could kill the soul of an enemy (20). Inman cannot accept this notion because he had been taught by sermon and hymn to hold as truth that the soul of man never dies (20). Charles Frazier believed in the power of hymn to influence what people believed about spirituality and the soul. This parallels the historical usage of hymns in church during the Civil War as well as in today s church as a means to pass down culture. Hymn music also had the ability to strengthen the Church and to solidify the beliefs of the parishioners. There is a large disagreement over the influence of religious music over a person s beliefs. The evangelical song leaders believed that religious music moved people with no faith to a life dedicated to praising God, but people from outside the church described religious music as cheap and tawdry (Squire 242). According to the United Evangelical Front religious music was a way to articulate God s plan and extend the influence of religion outside of the church

A small portion will go back into the earth but most of it will flow through a sewer system heading to a sewage treatmentplant to eventually be reused. In California, we get our water from a surface water source, coming from a river, lake, or reservoir. • 53. The Importance Of Folk Music The reason why history exists is because some people felt that certain events were so important that they must be recorded down for future generations to see. Many forms of history exist in typical forms such as text or photos, but some of history s defining moments are displayed in the form of art. In the past before a written language was formed people passed down their history through oral means such as stories and music. Music especially played a role in the passing down of history because it was easy to remember things to the beat of a song. The reason why so many people remember the lyrics to a song rather than what they studied for a history exam they have coming up is because our brain can connect the lyrics to the beat which makes it easier to remember. One form of song which can play a huge role in a society s history and culture is folk music. Folk music defines the culture of the society and the history behind it. They tell a story of a key person, place, thing, or event that has occurred in that community and the impact it has had on that community. Because of their impact on society historians research a places folk music in order to get a better grasp on what made that place into what it is. Therefore, folk songs are just as legitimate to history as written documents and provide a unique knowledge that may not be understood by just reading documents. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Francis Duke of Guise quickly assumed control of the army, church and foreign affairs. The Montmorency family had been stripped of office. The sudden shift of power towards the Guise family heightened tensions between the aristocratic factions. The monarchy in France operated through a clientage system. The King was at the apex and he would give money and protection to the clientage beneath him, who, in return would offer the king loyalty. Those beneath him included large aristocratic families and below these families were the nobility, and further down still, the lesser nobility. The three aristocratic families were therefore reliant on the nobility below them in the system for support. In return they would give offices and jobs to their clients. Due to a weak monarchy this clientage system broke down. The clientage system was a good way of exercising control over the major aristocratic families. However, in order for such a system to function there needed to be a strong monarch and a large sum of money, neither of which were available in 1559. After the vast amount of money spent in the Hapsburg Valios wars the royal treasury was drained of resources. The monarchy not only lacked a strong ruler but was also economically weak. • 56. Inventory And Inventory Control System INTRODUCTION: The more inventory a company has... the less likely they will have what they need. Taichi Ohno What is Inventory? Inventory is considered to be the raw materials, work in process goods or completely finished goods that are a portion of a business s assets that are ready for use or will be ready for sale to customers. Possessing huge amount of inventory for longer period of time is not considered to be usually good for a business because of inventory storage, obsolescence and spoilage costs. On the other hand, we also need to consider that possessing too little inventory isn t good either, because the business runs the risk of losing out on potential sales and potential market shares. (1) In any organization, Inventory Management is a very important concept that is been followed and there is a dedicated team that looks after the planning, scheduling and flow of inventory. Typically there are two standard inventory control systems that are followed within organizations for effective Inventory Management: Push System: The main ideology of push inventory control systems is forecasting inventory needs to satisfy customer demands. Here, companies should make a prediction as to which product the customers would purchase and also determine the quantity of products that will be purchased. Everything in a push system is decided on basis of a prediction and forecasting and that is the major flaw in the system. These forecasts are often inaccurate as well as
