Applying An Analytical Model Of A Plane Wall
Abstract
To conduct a proper analysis of the 1 D transient conduction in a plane wall we must take the
necessary mathematical procedures to obtain an analytical model that accurately represents the
heat transfer that occurs. The equation must accurately model a plane wall that has a thickness L,
is well insulated on one side, but is still vulnerable to convection on the other side. In order to
complete the model, one must scale the problem in terms of both a length scale and a time scale to
transform the variables to a dimensionless form that allows for a set of solutions that can be
narrowed down to the simple parameter, Bi=hL/k.
Introduction Mathematical Model
This analysis looks into the phenomena of 1 D transient conduction in a plane wall of thickness L
that is insulated on one side and subject to convection on the other. The conduction is governed by
the differential heat equation: u_t=в€
ќu_xx (1)
Here, u signifies the temperature of the entire body and в€
ќ signifies the thermal diffusivity.
Furthermore, the differential heat equation above must respect the following boundary conditions:
u_x |_(x=0)=0
ku_x |_(x=L)=h(u| T_в€
ћ) u|_(t=0)=T_i In the above boundary conditions, k represents a material
property commonly referred to as thermal conductivity, whereas T_i represents the initial
temperature throughout the wall. In this instance the flow conditions are such that they sustain

WTO Essay
WTO What is the WTO and what exactly do they do? This is the question that I was hoping to
answer in this paper. In a world of turbulent econmic conditions it is important to no which
organizations are responsible for what changes take place. There are many different organizations
that affect many different things in our society and the global society and the WTO is one of them.
The WTO is the only global international organization dealing with the rules of trade between
nations. This organization deals with agreements that are negotiated and signed by the majority of
the world s trading nations. The main goal is to serve as a medium for vendors of goods to trade to
other countries. Without the WTO it would be... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is important because it protects the producers and the consumers. Protection is important,
especially when dealing with intellectual property. Things such as patents and extremely
important because you don t want your ideas being stolen by other countries. The WTO
regulates this so that other countries are not prospering off of others ideas. Another key element
with the WTO is the settling of disputes. Renato Ruggiero, former WTO director general, calls
the dispute settlement procedure the WTO s most individual contribution to the stability of the
global economy. This procedure keeps balance in the trade agreements. The first rulings in all
trade disputes are made by a panel. The panel decision is presented to the members. The full
membership of the WTO votes on the final decisions so that no single country can block the
decision. This provides fairness in the decision which is binding. About 100 of the over 130
countries that are members of the WTO are developing countries. The objective is to help
developing countries operate successfully in the world of free trade. The goal is to help these
countries create the capacity to build the necessary institutions and to train the proper people to
give them a foothold in the mountain of trade. The only way that it is possible for these countries
to trade is to put them into the proper position and with the right recourses to

Accountability In Military
In the United States Army Reporting is one of the most important actions a soldier can display.
Reporting is used to keep track of a soldier s location and or activities. Without some form of
reporting, it would be impossible to monitor the actions or location of any given soldier. All
soldiers in any unit and or branch of the military must be accounted for at all times. If not
properly reported or accounted for falls not only on the soldier that s missing but falls on the
person in charge over him or her which is usually the Noncommissioned officer and so forth.
Accountability is defined by department of defense as the obligation imposed by a law or lawful
order or regulation on an officer or other person for keeping an accurate record of... Show more

For example Loyalty. Accountability plays a big role in being loyal. The definition of loyalty is
faithfulness or a devotion to a person or cause. A cause could be considered another word for
mission. As stated before, soldier accountability is one of the main missions of the army. Not
saying that if you don t play your role in soldier accountability means that you a not loyal to the
army or your country. It means that you may not be completely loyal to one s support channel or
chain of command. The U.S. army values soldiers that are accountable for their actions. Being
accountable means being dependable arriving to work and appointments on time, meeting
deadlines, being in the right place at the right time with minutes to spare, doing the right thing at
the right time. Morning formation is the most important formation of the day. It is made to get
accountability of everyone and put out any information that there needs to be dealt with in that
time or a specific time frame. As an American Soldier I am obligated to withhold my duties my

DUNE 9th Grade Essay
DUNE Often there comes a book that I enjoy or never heard of before, yet there comes one book
that is both known for its legacy and impact on the world of literature. However, one book comes
along that is both a classic and legend in a certain genre. That one book in particular is the 1965
classic DUNEby Frank Herbert. Before I ever read the book, I already had some preexisting
knowledge thanks to the video games, the 1984 movie version by David Lynch, and a
documentary about a version by Alejandro Jodorowsky that never got made. So after reading the
book, my response is that DUNE is both remarkable and good.
The story of DUNE is set in a far future where humanity has evolved into a galactic empire that
expands all over the universe, but the main setting is set on a barren desert called Arrakis also
known as DUNE. Every noble house and a company try to gain control of the planet all because
of a known resource called spice, the spice in the story is used for certain duties including galactic
space travel. The main ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of the aspects is largely the setting being influenced by Byzantine, Arab, and Persian culture
with some examples in the use of Jihad; the prophet is being called Maud Dib, and the powerful
galactic empire going through some stressful issues. Another aspect of the book is how the author
creates the characters and their motivation along with their outcomes. An example of this is the
hero Paul Atreides, in the story he is considered to be The One who would lead about great
change to a tribe called the Freman. The reason for this is because the author leaves cryptic
reference to help establish the hero s position in the story. Then there is the villain Baron
Harkonnen, throughout the story he is seen as cruel and ruthless toward his own domain or anyone
that would be seen as a rival toward

The Dream Team Era
During the summer of 1992, the NBA took center stage as the world watched the greatest team in
sports ever assembled joke, pose, and finally play its way to the gold medal at the summer
Olympic games. The team was named the Dream Team and it featured eleven of the NBA s best
players. Names like Michael Jordan, Earvin Magic Johnson, and Larry Bird headlined the games
and the play of Scottie Pippen and Sir Charles Barkley stole the show. After only eight games, the

We were in a definite no win situation, said Chuck Daly; we had to come back with the gold medal
(The Dream Team).
Despite being lead in overall scoring by Charles Barkley, different players would step up on
different nights to take control and led the Dream Team to victory with not just scoring, but
great passing and leadership ability as well. Michael Jordan who at the time was the most
popular basketball player in the world showed that he is a great defensive player as well as an
offensive player by averaging five steals per game during the tournament. Other players like David
Robinson and Patrick Ewing provided tough interior defense and the flow of the games offensively
were controlled by Magic Johnson and Scottie Pippen.
The Dream Team s first game was on July 26th against the African nation of Angola and the
United States defeated them 116 48 with Charles Barkley leading the way with 24 points. Against
Brazil, Barkley set a USA Olympic record by scoring 30 points on 12 14 shooting. The rest of the

Otto Von Bismarck Realpolitik German Unification
By the early 1800s the Germany we know today was constructed of 39 independent states the largest
of which was Prussia. These states shared similar culture and industry which in turn brought them
closer together. Though this caused a problem in Europe since they thought unified Germany would
be too powerful. At the time there was one main leader for German unification, Otto von Bismarck.
He followed a philosophy known as realpolitik, a system of politics principles based on practical
rather than more moral or ideological considerations. Bismarck United the various kingdoms of
German into one unified state. He started three wars to accomplish his goal but after unification he
successfully maintained peace in europe. This unified Germanyone of the most militarily dominant
nation in Europe.
Bismarck had near absolute control over his country, and when he resigned his power is passed
on to his successors. The following German leaders would ignore The philosophy of realpolitik
and favor of militaristic illusions. Otto von Bismarck utilized his leadership as well as philosophy
of realpolitik to unify Germany and maintain peace in Europe. Subsequent German leaders would
disregard Bismarck s ideals, as his obsession with individual power failed to create a long lasting
germany. Thus leaving to a tainted legacy.
Otto von Bismarck born in the year 1815. At this time the 39 States ruled over the German people
and were loosely united under the German Confederation led by Austria. 1848

atmosphere shifts. The further north they travel from Los Angeles palms and golden beaches, the
cities begin to lose their positive, sunny vibes. They go from beach villas to industrial apartments
to suburban neighborhoods to run down harbor towns. The positive emotional vibrations emitted
from such architecture slowly surrenders its grip on its surroundings to a grim, hopeless one. As
new, booming cities fade into sleepy and ancient villages only occupied by drunken sailors and lost
tourists, the traveler will soon realize they are in a much less pleasant place as where they

How Different Cultures React to Death and Dying
How Different Cultures React to Death and Dying
Abstract
This research explores the literature across cultures on death and dying in order to highlight the
impact of culture on reactions to death and the dying process. A theoretical framework is
established, using Elizabeth Kubler Ross s five stages of dying, followed by a succinct discussion
of the reactions and attitudes toward death and the dying process of four cultures (Buddhist, Hindu,
Native American and American). By illustrating the different reactions and attitudes toward death
of these cultures, it is revealed that through increased cultural understanding health care workers
can provide more personalized care to the dying.

Instead, they believe the body must be cremated quickly after death. As Lama (2004, p. 1)
maintains, The belief that once it sheds its body, the soul prepares to depart immediately on its
karmic journey, and as such, it s very important to cremate the body as soon as practical so as not
to provide any allurement for the soul to linger on this side of the world. In such cultures there is
little relating to the bargaining or depression stages of Kubler Ross theory, but acceptance certainly
applies to both Hindus and Buddhists. In fact, for the gerontologist, increased cultural
understanding of the death and dying process aids overall quality of care. As Barker (1999, p. 161)
reports on one study conducted on Hindus in a British community, ...poor communication due to
linguistic and cultural distance between relatives and hospital staff, as well as lack of sensitivity
involving the latter, may be most distressful to the dying and their relatives.
Native Americans Native Americans also had and still have a unique perspective on death. It is
doubtful Native Americans relate to any of the phases outlined by Kubler Ross, save for
acceptance. For Native Americans perceive death as merely one facet of what they view as the
Sacred hoop of life, (Turner Weeden, 1995, p. 11). This is because of their unique worldview with
respect to what happens to the soul after death. Native Americans view life and death as a circular
movement, wherein the process

Gulliver s Travels By Jonathan Swift
A Humbling Inspiration In 1726 author Jonathan Swift published a satirical, narrative entitled
Gulliver s Travels (Davis, Harrison and Johnson 229). Gulliver s Travels is a novel that has
continued to contribute and thrive in both literature and the film genres. Swift uses comical
events and extraordinary characters to address moral issues that remain decades later in today s
society. Gulliver s Travels has since been reproduced in the film industry multiple times, most
recently in 2010 (Gulliver s Travels). Swift s creative work takes his prideful main character and
protagonist, Lemuel Gulliver through many events which leads to his most traumatizing and
humbling experience. A minor characters within the text, Don Pedro de Mendez is one of the
most influential characters that impacts Gulliver s traveling experience. Don Pedro de Mendez is
a character that helps uplift Gulliver from mild depression and encourages him to embrace who
he is while remaining thoughtful of his shortcomings. Don Pedro de Mendez as a minor character
contributes to both Gulliver s life and the theme of the text. Mendez is a Portuguese captain who
discoveries Gulliver on an island after his exile by the Houyhnhnm tribe. During Gulliver s and
Mendez s interactions the readers are introduced to the moral concept of humbleness and how
pride can affect one s perception. Gulliver s exile from the island of the Houyhnhnm tribe and
Yahoos causes him to fall into a great depression, due to his passion

Anse Rainier Movie Analysis
PLOT ANALYSIS
In the beginning scene only we can see the protagonist (Changez) staring thoughtfully ahead, and
his attire mixed with music in the background gives a sense of tradition. In the next scene we can
see the family listening to a qawali giving impression of affluence and aristocracy. Protagonist
phone rings capturing his attention, and he excuses himself from his surroundings. These scenes
are juxtaposed with that of a Anse Rainier and his wife walking out of a cinema, and as the qawal
increases his tempo Anse rainier gets kidnapped. Later we can see Bobby (An American journalist)
in Pakistan interviewing Changez in a restaurant as he and his team suspects changez s
involvement in kidnapping of professor Anse Rainier who is Changez s colleague at Lahore
University. This scene lays down the dynamics of their conversation. Bobby was trying to illicit
information about Anse rainier as an unsuspecting journalist but changez already knew what he
was up to and why did he come for taking an interview. The first thing that Changez says in the
interview was Looks can be deceptive . This is quite suitable for the movie as in the movie it is
all about appearances and identities. In Pakistan, changez family was royal and they had respect

Religion Has Played An Important Role In The History Of
Religion has played an important role in the history of the United States and in creating the
colonies of the New World in many ways. Religion was definitely one of the major reasons for
the establishment of the colonies. The early colonists wanted the freedom to worship God as they
seen as proper, and they were promised this freedom of worship. Most of these colonies were
deeply rooted in their religious beliefs. Religionstrongly influenced the social and political life of
the colonial times in the New World. Generally, in the colonies, the church was normally a large

The Quakers and Puritans moved from their homes in Europe and England as a result of religious
unfairness. They sought to reform the Anglican religious practice, which was to purify the church

American where new colonies were created. The Puritans did not accept those that believed
differently than they did. They were forced to leave England because of their refusal to worship in
Anglican churches. The Puritans denied citizenship to the Quakers and others who believed in a

Puritans that were not as radical in their religious views later established settlements along the

was broke. Luckily people was able to save up and keep enough resources that will hold them
until this economic crisis was over. It was hard to obtain the money they needed, so the only
way they could survive is if they had resources like food, clothes, and housing. Houses back then
were not the best but people were able to cope with it because the living conditions were not the
best. Saving resources will allow the citizens to use their money on more important things.
Lastly, the townspeople went through a lot of stress during the financial crisis because of
money and family. People were not able to support their families because they had no money so
it only led to worse problems. The town panicked because they were not getting their money and
they thought it was the end of the world. If people lived in apartments they were not able to pay
rent due to a lack of money. Citizens had to think about many things and how to survive with the
items they had left. All in all, It s a Wonderful Life shows how people cope with the financial crisis
and how it affects the townspeople. Four economics themes were expressed

The Negative Impact Of The Rehabilitation Act Of 1973
On September 26, 1973, the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 was put into place to replace the Vocational
Rehabilitation Act. The population that benefitted the most from this act were the people who lived
with disabilities. The Rehabilitation Act of 1973 developed, revised and implemented many plans
for the disabled population. A few of the plans that were carried out with this act were the assistance
of constructing and improve rehabilitation facilities, gauging the rehabilitation potential of
individuals with a disability, promoting and expanding employment opportunities for individual
with disabilities and more (U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, n.d.). In 2001, a bill
was introduced to the Senate by Senator Thurmond Strom (R SC) that proposed to exclude
prisoners from receiving the benefits of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (S.33 107th Congress, 2001).
A survey conducted in 2011 through 2012 showed that 32 percent of people who were in prison
had at least one disability. Of that 32 percent, 2 out 10 prisoners reported having some form of a
cognitive disability (Bureau of Justice Statistics, n.d.). If the bill that Senator Thurmond Strom
introduced to the Senate were to be passed, these prisoners with cognitive disabilities will be even
further oppressed and receive even fewer resources upon their release. This proposed bill will have
a negative impact on the overall outcome of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.

Between The Gnostic Christology And Trinity Of The...
As shown below, the similarities between the Gnostic Christology and Trinity of the Valentinians
and the orthodox Trinitarians are striking. The Valentinians were teaching a Christology very
similar to the Christology of the Trinity Doctrine expressed in the Athanasian Creed about 350
before the proclamation of the Athanasian Creed. Valentinus (c.100 c.160) was a teacher in Rome,
who almost became Pope. Before coming to Rome in about 140, he had studied in Egypt. About
160, he died in Cyprus. He claimed to have received his ideas from Theodas, a disciple of Paul.
Valentinianism survived into the fifth century. Valentinus teachings merged Christianity with Greek
and Oriental speculation. He developed a metaphysical system that incorporated Christianity with
paganism and Greek philosophy, primarily Platonism. His theology fluctuated between Gnosticism,
esotericism, and orthodoxy Christianity of his time. Valentinus believed that Christ s flesh was
spiritual. Although Jesusate and drank, he did not defecate. Because Jesus body received heavenly
substance, it only appeared to need food. (This idea of Jesus conflicts with the New Treatment:
Jesus was like his brethren in all things [Heb. 2:17]. Like the Valentinians, the Trinitarians also have
a Jesus who is incompatible with the New Testament Jesus.) Fundamental to the Valentinian
Christology is Christ s deity and preexistence. Furthermore, Christ is a special emanation of God
and embodies all the powers of God. They

Robert E Lee s Life
As Robert E. Lee said, You cannot be a true man until you learn to obey. This quote fits his life
well as he worked his way up the chain to be the man and wonderful military leader he was.
Robert started on the bottom and work his way all the way up to General. One of the bloodiest
battles he was in was at Antietam as he was trying to gain Northern soil. Robert E Lee was born
on January 19, 1807, in Stratford Hall, Virginia. He was born to Henry Light Horse Larry Lee
and Anne Hill Carter Lee. At the young age of 24 he marries Anna Randolph Custis which
would ve been the year of 1831. Robert went to West Point Military school and graduated second
in his class in 1829. Despite all of his military background from his family and such Lee had yet
to see a battlefield. Instead of going to a war he spent seventeen years as an officer in the Core
of Engineers. However, his service during the 1846 war with Mexico changed that. He emerged
from this conflict as a colonel. From 1852 to 1855 he served as superintendent at West Point. In
1855 he joined the Civil War in the cavalry. He served as Lieutenant Colonel of the 2nd cavalry.
He was considering leaving army when in 1859 he was called to dislodge John Brown and his
raiders. This was a quick and virtually bloodless end to John Brown. After this he then went to
Texas to rejoin his regiment. From February of 1860 all the way through February 1861 he played
the role of commander of the Department of Texas. In the

Change of Universities is one of the reasons why students take longer to graduate. Mostly because
the credits that are offered in one institution are not counted in the other institution. Thus it is hard
to keep track of what credits or courses the student has take during the non traditional 2 year
institution. (Rhine, Milligan) The article by Whine and Milligan describe the adversities transfer
students face coming from community colleges. One of the suggestions made to community
colleges to ameliorate the transferring process of the students is close advising and creation of a
goal plan. The lack of a goal erases the sense of duty and perseverance in students. If student don
t have a plan, they attend college, attend social gathering and parties, however fail to gain the
knowledge or sense of direction the college provides for individuals who take advantage of
advising and career development. In addition to frequently changing their majors, the transfer
students face the experience that is referred to as the transfer shock . This term refers to the
academic struggles that transfer students face after the transition period. Transfer students may
experience a sharp decline in GPA the semester after transferring. (McCormick pg. 2) Because of
the declines grades, the transfer students are discouraged to continue and persevere through a
typical struggle of a college student. The decline in GPA is in

The creative class initiatives are the key force for the economic growth in the post industrial phase
when service sectors outweigh the manufacturing sector. Consistent with the creative class,
promoting art and culture based on the art tour is a suitable idea to help the southwest Iowa
communities to grow. In addition, it also promotes the region encouraging people to visit and
moved to the following cities. According to Zachary Mannheimer, the director of the Des Moines
Social Club, if the city wants to stimulate the economic growth, it should invest in the arts rather
than get started in the jobs, this investment will make small communities achieve optimum results
quickly. Furthermore, the agencies use events as a tool of the attraction of people and companies
showing that the region is a viable place to live. The trend observed is that events make an
interconnection of the individuals with the community and it is a very good idea to connect
communities through art. Therefore, three recommendation are the key to the success of the cities
in the southwest of Iowa. First, it is mandatory to stimulate partnership between communities
among arts groups, communities, and organization. Consequently, the events can turn into a
potential tool to offer a cultural education for the community and create a program of school based
art education for the residents. Second, the civic engagement of the community is an important
strategy to achieve the results. When the community works together, it makes the difference for

Essay on Israel s Controversy
Israel is a high controversial state that all have differing opinions on. There are many things that
make Israel a hot topic. In order to discover why Israel is so controversial, this paper will delve
into the creation of Israel, and how it affects the area around it. Israel was created on November 29,
1947 by the United Nations in Resolution 181. Resolution 181, also known as the Partition
Resolution, declared that the territory of Palestinewould be divided into two separate states, one
Jewish and one Arab, when the British Palestine mandate expired in May 1948. However, the city

goal of moving Jews there. This was a problem because no one could prevent them from doing it.
Finally, many countries were in support of a Jewish state in Palestine because of the Holocaust.
All countries felt bad for the Jewish population of the world after the Holocaust, and they saw a
Jewish state as a way to seek forgiveness from the Jews. There are many problems that stem from
Israel being where it is. One problem is that three major world religions stake claim to Palestine
as their holy land. This is a problem because each religion claims they own it, and that it was
bestowed upon them in their holy text. The problem stems from each religious text specifically
outlying the land they deserve. In the Old Testament of the Christian Bible, Genesis 15:18 states,
on that day The Lord made a covenant with Abraham, saying, To your descendants I have given
this land, From the river of Egypt as far as the great river, the river Euphrates ( Genesis 15:18 ).

Interpretation By Summarizing. To Summarize Is To State
Interpretation by Summarizing
To summarize is to state the most important points. We might try to summarize the Bible. We might
try to summarize some scientific observations. We might try to summarize our experiences. We
might try to summarize this book.
Many of our statements are summaries. It would be nice if we could interpret our observations and
experiences by pure objective summarizing. It s very difficult though. Our worldviews get in the
way.
Anytime we summarize, we leave out information that we consider minor. We only include
information that we consider the most important information. That makes it very easy to distort
reality into something that looks real but isn t real. There are several problems with summaries.
These ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During analysis, we tend to unconsciously add elements of the worldview and create an illusion.
What we ve built in our worldviews seems real. When we add unreal elements from our
worldviews, we think those unreal elements are real. Worldviews give that illusion. During
analysis, we often unconsciously filter some elements out if those elements aren t part of our
worldviews. In addition, we don t have a way of knowing that we have identified all the elements
unless God reveals such a thing to us. The worldview is a deceitful filter. For this reason, Jesus sent
the Holy Spirit to guide us in the process. Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to correct us when we get it
wrong.
Interpretation can t add information. It s not a source of new knowledge. It can give us a better
understanding of the information that exists. Without the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the human
mind is deceitful and will automatically distort the interpretation.
Explanations as a Way of Knowing
During the Q A session, Bill made the following statement:
We challenge you; tell us why the universe is accelerating. Tell us why these mothers were getting
sick. And we found an explanation for it.
Explanations aren t found. Explanations are made up. The word explanation exposes wrong
thinking about how we can know. Bodie Hodge gives this example:
Now I want the readers to understand that just because someone has an explanation for something,
that doesn t make it true. The Greeks

The Impact Of Modernism
Jonathan Glance , author of the book 20th Century Architecture ; The Structures That Shaped The
Century describes modernism as an attitude rather than a style an attempt to free the architect from
the rules of convention. Form following function was an attribute adopted by architectural
modernists. As a result of this, modern architectureis no longer ornamentally focused but uses
materials such as concrete, glass, steel and wood for functional construction. With reference to Le
Corbusier and his architectural masterpiece, Ville Savoye, this essay will discuss and analyze the
impact the industrial revolution had on modernism, the influence the Bauhaushad on architectural
development, social and economical effects that influenced social trends, how modernism was

My Utopian Society Essay
The Utopian land is divided into two main terrains: farmland and cities. The farmlands, of course,
are where most of the country s resources are produced. The services of the economy, smithing,
carpentry, clothmaking, etc., are mainly produced in the cities. Iron is the only resource which
must be imported abundantly. All of the resources, except iron, that the nation requires, it produces
on its own.
The Utopians live a very simple lifestyle. They work, and in their spare time play games, read, and
socialize. Other forms of entertainment, such as gambling and hunting are looked down upon.
They only eat what is necessary, and their houses are built simply and furnished only with what is

Theses are exported for the iron that they need, and gold and silver after that.
However, gold and silver play a very different role in Utopia. There is no monetary system; all of
the people are provided with what they need. Instead of working to get money with which they
can choose what they want, their work is repaid with everything they need. What each person
needs is decided by them alone, and there is no risk of anyone taking more than they need. Why
would anyone take more than they need when they will always be provided for? There is no reason
to store up for the future, and there is nothing to do with extra, unnecessary products.
The gold and silver then is used for purchasing mercenaries for use in war and for paying citizens
of other nations to turn against their country in war. Since gold is of no use to the people of
Utopia, it is stored as chamber pots, and cheap jewelry worn only by the bondman, the lowest of
Utopian people. When a time comes that requires the use of gold, the Utopians gladly give it up,
for to them it is just a toilet. The Utopian government also uses its gold to lend to other nations in
need. They are very liberal with their loans, and do not always ask for them to be repaid. Their
reasoning is that they have no use for the gold, for they have a surplus of that as well, and the
other nation that is in debt has very good use for it.

Classroom Management For Students With Emotional And...
One of the most important aspects of teachers is managing their classroom effectively with both
management and structure. Creating Classroom Rules for Students with Emotional and Behavioral
Disorders: A Decision Making Guide ( Kostewicz, Ruhl, Kubina, 2008) described classroom
management strategies as well as provided six step by step clear rule decision making questions.
Emotional and Behavioral Disorder (EDB) students have a reputation when entering a classroom
creating a significant challenge for classroom teachers. Throughout the day students with EBD are
in different classroom settings with multiple teachers and staff members, which can cause a variety
of rules and boundaries. These students often will be classified as aggressive, disruptive, and
unfocused. Teachers are often re teaching, re telling, or re focusing EBD students in the classroom
to deal with negative behavior. Effective classroom rules are used to promote student
accountability in the classroom. Since EBD students have deficits in language, social interactions
and communicative skills, these skills need to be first and foremost addressed in a well designed
classroom management guide. By having the guide in place in each of the student s classrooms
provides a routine and structured day which is beneficial. Additionally classroom rules have always
felt more negative versus positive. However, the teacher attempts to set up these rules to maximize
the classroom environment in order to achieve learning.

Skill development and Primary Health
Skill Development means developing yourself and your skill sets to add value for the
organization and for your own career development. Fostering an attitude of appreciation for
lifelong learning is the key to workplace success. Continuously learning and developing one s skills

Long Distance Financing
I do not define myself by my physical abilities, above all else I see myself as a scholar, one
always eager to learn. Surprisingly my participation in a sport my junior year let me grow as a
person. Risk can be defined as, exposure to danger, harm, or loss. Given that definition, it can be
understood why I wouldn t risk much, let alone run cross country. Long distance running is seen
as dangerous because of how tolling it can be on the body. Despite that I had no prior training, I
participated anyway, even though the odds weren t in my favor. After my first two years of
highschool, I learned that I lacked motivation. This was because academics have always come
easily to me, so I saw no need to put forth as much effort with my coursework

Going to Canada by Warren Cariou
Through his creative non fiction piece Going to Canada , Warren Cariou proposes that our
traditional view of Canada is superficial and fabricated from cover up stories; we need to look
beneath the surface of central issues to construct a well rounded understanding. Cariou travels to
Auschwitz and is quite intrigued by the warehouse called Canada, which is used to store stolen
goods from prisoners. He questions how the Canada located in the internment camp got its name
and what significance the name plays. Initial reflection upon the meaning of Canada suggests the
prisoners named it as a place for freedom and solace. However, later evidence suggested that it was
actually named by Nazi Commanders. There seemed to be no direct connection between the
warehouse and the country until Cariou returned to Canada and visited several northern Aboriginal
communities. Cariou emphasizes the significance of stories of First Nations as agents of
remembering and forgetting; they show the theft and dehumanization that Aboriginals are subjected
to. Through the numerous parallels, it became evident that there is a clear connection between the
warehouse and the country. Cariou claims that as Canadians, our perspective is shaped from cover
up stories and prevents us from seeing the connection that exists between the two. The corporate
exploitation of Aboriginal communities and natural resources is analogous to the behavior of the
Nazis during the holocaust. Through this piece, Cariou wishes to

  • 2. Applying An Analytical Model Of A Plane Wall Abstract To conduct a proper analysis of the 1 D transient conduction in a plane wall we must take the necessary mathematical procedures to obtain an analytical model that accurately represents the heat transfer that occurs. The equation must accurately model a plane wall that has a thickness L, is well insulated on one side, but is still vulnerable to convection on the other side. In order to complete the model, one must scale the problem in terms of both a length scale and a time scale to transform the variables to a dimensionless form that allows for a set of solutions that can be narrowed down to the simple parameter, Bi=hL/k. Introduction Mathematical Model This analysis looks into the phenomena of 1 D transient conduction in a plane wall of thickness L that is insulated on one side and subject to convection on the other. The conduction is governed by the differential heat equation: u_t=в€ ќu_xx (1) Here, u signifies the temperature of the entire body and в€ ќ signifies the thermal diffusivity. Furthermore, the differential heat equation above must respect the following boundary conditions: u_x |_(x=0)=0 ku_x |_(x=L)=h(u| T_в€ ћ) u|_(t=0)=T_i In the above boundary conditions, k represents a material property commonly referred to as thermal conductivity, whereas T_i represents the initial temperature throughout the wall. In this instance the flow conditions are such that they sustain constant ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. WTO Essay WTO What is the WTO and what exactly do they do? This is the question that I was hoping to answer in this paper. In a world of turbulent econmic conditions it is important to no which organizations are responsible for what changes take place. There are many different organizations that affect many different things in our society and the global society and the WTO is one of them. The WTO is the only global international organization dealing with the rules of trade between nations. This organization deals with agreements that are negotiated and signed by the majority of the world s trading nations. The main goal is to serve as a medium for vendors of goods to trade to other countries. Without the WTO it would be... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is important because it protects the producers and the consumers. Protection is important, especially when dealing with intellectual property. Things such as patents and extremely important because you don t want your ideas being stolen by other countries. The WTO regulates this so that other countries are not prospering off of others ideas. Another key element with the WTO is the settling of disputes. Renato Ruggiero, former WTO director general, calls the dispute settlement procedure the WTO s most individual contribution to the stability of the global economy. This procedure keeps balance in the trade agreements. The first rulings in all trade disputes are made by a panel. The panel decision is presented to the members. The full membership of the WTO votes on the final decisions so that no single country can block the decision. This provides fairness in the decision which is binding. About 100 of the over 130 countries that are members of the WTO are developing countries. The objective is to help developing countries operate successfully in the world of free trade. The goal is to help these countries create the capacity to build the necessary institutions and to train the proper people to give them a foothold in the mountain of trade. The only way that it is possible for these countries to trade is to put them into the proper position and with the right recourses to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Reporting is used to keep track of a soldier s location and or activities. Without some form of reporting, it would be impossible to monitor the actions or location of any given soldier. All soldiers in any unit and or branch of the military must be accounted for at all times. If not properly reported or accounted for falls not only on the soldier that s missing but falls on the person in charge over him or her which is usually the Noncommissioned officer and so forth. A cause could be considered another word for mission. As stated before, soldier accountability is one of the main missions of the army. Not saying that if you don t play your role in soldier accountability means that you a not loyal to the army or your country. It means that you may not be completely loyal to one s support channel or chain of command. The U.S. army values soldiers that are accountable for their actions. Being accountable means being dependable arriving to work and appointments on time, meeting deadlines, being in the right place at the right time with minutes to spare, doing the right thing at the right time. Morning formation is the most important formation of the day. • 5. DUNE 9th Grade Essay DUNE Often there comes a book that I enjoy or never heard of before, yet there comes one book that is both known for its legacy and impact on the world of literature. However, one book comes along that is both a classic and legend in a certain genre. That one book in particular is the 1965 classic DUNEby Frank Herbert. Before I ever read the book, I already had some preexisting knowledge thanks to the video games, the 1984 movie version by David Lynch, and a documentary about a version by Alejandro Jodorowsky that never got made. So after reading the book, my response is that DUNE is both remarkable and good. The story of DUNE is set in a far future where humanity has evolved into a galactic empire that expands all over the universe, but the main setting is set on a barren desert called Arrakis also known as DUNE. How Different Cultures React to Death and Dying How Different Cultures React to Death and Dying Abstract This research explores the literature across cultures on death and dying in order to highlight the impact of culture on reactions to death and the dying process. As shown below, the similarities between the Gnostic Christology and Trinity of the Valentinians and the orthodox Trinitarians are striking. The Valentinians were teaching a Christology very similar to the Christology of the Trinity Doctrine expressed in the Athanasian Creed about 350 before the proclamation of the Athanasian Creed. Valentinus (c.100 c.160) was a teacher in Rome, who almost became Pope. Before coming to Rome in about 140, he had studied in Egypt. About 160, he died in Cyprus. He claimed to have received his ideas from Theodas, a disciple of Paul. Valentinianism survived into the fifth century. Valentinus teachings merged Christianity with Greek and Oriental speculation. He developed a metaphysical system that incorporated Christianity with paganism and Greek philosophy, primarily Platonism. His theology fluctuated between Gnosticism, esotericism, and orthodoxy Christianity of his time. Valentinus believed that Christ s flesh was spiritual. Although Jesusate and drank, he did not defecate. Because Jesus body received heavenly substance, it only appeared to need food. (This idea of Jesus conflicts with the New Treatment: Jesus was like his brethren in all things [Heb. 2:17]. In addition, it also promotes the region encouraging people to visit and moved to the following cities. According to Zachary Mannheimer, the director of the Des Moines Social Club, if the city wants to stimulate the economic growth, it should invest in the arts rather than get started in the jobs, this investment will make small communities achieve optimum results quickly. Furthermore, the agencies use events as a tool of the attraction of people and companies showing that the region is a viable place to live. What each person needs is decided by them alone, and there is no risk of anyone taking more than they need. Why would anyone take more than they need when they will always be provided for? There is no reason to store up for the future, and there is nothing to do with extra, unnecessary products. The gold and silver then is used for purchasing mercenaries for use in war and for paying citizens of other nations to turn against their country in war. Emotional and Behavioral Disorder (EDB) students have a reputation when entering a classroom creating a significant challenge for classroom teachers. Throughout the day students with EBD are in different classroom settings with multiple teachers and staff members, which can cause a variety of rules and boundaries. These students often will be classified as aggressive, disruptive, and unfocused. Teachers are often re teaching, re telling, or re focusing EBD students in the classroom to deal with negative behavior. Effective classroom rules are used to promote student accountability in the classroom. Since EBD students have deficits in language, social interactions and communicative skills, these skills need to be first and foremost addressed in a well designed classroom management guide. By having the guide in place in each of the student s classrooms provides a routine and structured day which is beneficial. Additionally classroom rules have always felt more negative versus positive. Going to Canada by Warren Cariou Through his creative non fiction piece Going to Canada , Warren Cariou proposes that our traditional view of Canada is superficial and fabricated from cover up stories; we need to look beneath the surface of central issues to construct a well rounded understanding. Cariou travels to Auschwitz and is quite intrigued by the warehouse called Canada, which is used to store stolen goods from prisoners. He questions how the Canada located in the internment camp got its name and what significance the name plays. Initial reflection upon the meaning of Canada suggests the prisoners named it as a place for freedom and solace. However, later evidence suggested that it was actually named by Nazi Commanders. There seemed to be no direct connection between the warehouse and the country until Cariou returned to Canada and visited several northern Aboriginal communities. Cariou emphasizes the significance of stories of First Nations as agents of remembering and forgetting; they show the theft and dehumanization that Aboriginals are subjected to. Through the numerous parallels, it became evident that there is a clear connection between the warehouse and the country. Cariou claims that as Canadians, our perspective is shaped from cover up stories and prevents us from seeing the connection that exists between the two. The corporate exploitation of Aboriginal communities and natural resources is analogous to the behavior of the Nazis during the holocaust. Through this piece, Cariou wishes to ...
