The Federal Judicial System
When it comes to legal disputes the courts are the final decider of what the constitution means.
This authority known as judicial review gives the Supreme Court and other federal courts the
authority to interpret the constitution. The structure of the Federal judicial system is divided into
3 different courts, and each court plays a pivotal role in the judicial review. Along with the
Federal judicial system, there are other factors that affect the judicial review. The first structure of
the Federal judicial system is the district courts. There are 91 federal courts of original jurisdiction.
They are the only federal courts in which trials are held, and in which juries may be enrolled. Some
jurisdiction of the district courts includes the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Supreme Court is the highest court of the American judicial system. The Supreme Court of the
United States spends most of its time on a task, which is not delegated to the Supreme Court by the
Constitution. That task is hearing cases where the constitutionality of a law or regulation is
challenged. The Supreme Court s nine Justices attempt to sort out what is, and what is not
constitutional. The best known power of the Supreme Court is judicial review. Judicial review is
the power of the courts to determine whether acts of congress and executive are in accord with the
U.S. Constitution. This is not technically found within the text of the Constitution itself, but the
court established this doctrine in the case of Marbury v. Madison. In 1803 during Thomas
Jefferson s presidency, the Supreme Court of the U.S. was asked to decide the case of Marbury v.
Madison. The case presented a monumental clash that gave the federal courts the power to
determine the constitutionality of actions by the president and congress. Analyzing all of the legal
and historical ramification, Chief Justice John Marshall devised a solution for deciding the case.
He did this so the other 2 branches would accept the role of the courts and declare them
unconstitutional. He did this by limiting the authority of all three branches, including the judicial
branch. In Marbury v. Madison, the Supreme Court put limits on some of the powers of all 3
branches of government. They also declared the act of congress unconstitutional, limited some of
the president s appointment powers, and diminished some of the court s powers under the judiciary

Alliances and Partnership in Civil Aviation First Europe, and then the globe, will be linked by
flight, and nations so knit together that they will grow to be next door neighbors. . . . What
railways have done for nations, airways will do for the world. Claude Grahame White, 1914. The

The White Working Class That Caused These Problems
Was it really the White working class that caused these problems? Or was it the companies that
outsourced their jobs overseas? The white working class are also known as the hillbillies. They
are people who have gone through a lot of suffering but also have made a lot problems on their
own. While I definitely think that it is up to the former White working class to dig themselves out,
I m unsure that they re the ones responsible for this mess. Loosing their jobs to outsourcing and
loosing their sense of hope has led them to follow Donald Trumps campaign because he
sympathizes with them and promises them economic and social changes. These families have
struggled with poverty, domestic violence, drugs, and unemployment. One of those families was
J.D. Vance s family. Vance grew up in the Rust Belt of Ohio, into a struggling, poor, abusive
family. Vance escaped his hardships by enrolling into the Military and going to school.
However, other people weren t as lucky as he was to get out, other families were still stuck in
Hillbilly Middletown. Things were going good for these families until the 1970s and 1980s came
along. This is when things took a toll, industrial jobs were cut, causing a down ward spiral for
everyone in Ohio. This is when the alcoholism, drug use, and domestic violence became a norm.
For about a century, the region seemed to be on a upward spiral. Middletown s streets today are
full of shuttered storefronts and drug dealers, (Rothman,New Yorker).

Structure Process And Facility Layout
Forms of Transformation Processes used by Companies and Their Relation to the Facility Layout
Selecting the most appropriate transformation process and facility layout is one of the keys towards
achieving success in the company s performance. In general, there are many forms of
transformation processes, and each has particular facility layout. What is more, there are also
hybrid combinations of them so the organization can choose the one that best fits its needs and
potential.
Speaking of the basic forms of transformation systems, there are five of them including job shop,
continuous process, cellular production, flow shop, and project (Meredith Shafer, 2013). Job
shops are industries that offer a wide range of products and services. They can achieve diversity in
possible outputs using departments functionally specializing in one or other good. The specialty of
this transformation system is that the departments comprise of identical equipment or involve
people with nearly the same set of skills, and the process is carried out on a non stop basis. It also
has a peculiar layout that is based on a historically stable output so that it is rarely changed.
The second type of transformation system is continuous process. Such industries use a set of
materials and equipment and a sequence of processes to produce a final output. Facility layout of
this transformation system is usually a set of needed equipment such as assembly lines, tanks,
pipes, etc., and low skilled employees

Economic Crisis In Mongolia Essay
REFLECTION
As a whole, I believe our group worked well together. This is a very functional group, I like it, in
Nandin Erdene s words. During the discussions, all of the members of our group fully contributed
and shared their point of views. During the research, we were given the assignment of finding
possible solutions to our problem, which was economic crisis in Mongolia. My teammates at the
time was distracted with the school s annual Talent Show, and didn t state new solutions besides
the ones we already discussed. I knew something like this would happen, so I took careful planning
in advance. I offered possible solutions that would be efficient, and in the end, we finalized our
solutions.
We were originally going to select Child... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We decided unemployment rate, strengthen institution, FDI and export diversification would be
the most effective way to solve the issue at hand. All of us knew low employment rate would be
the one of leading cause, because Mongolia s unemployment rate is very high and most of the
citizens live under poverty, exactly 1 out of 5 people. Tamir expanded on this solution and proposed
improving education would be the best method. As for inflation, I offered export diversification as a
solution, because increasing one s exports increases the demand for currency thus reduces deficit
and reduces inflation/debts. I knew this solution would be effective, because Mongolia have the
necessary resources to produce more than one centralized good, and become global competitor. In
order for this to occur, skilled labor force, FDI and strengthen institution had to come into the
picture. This is where Tamir and Nomun Erdene s solutions complemented my solution and as well
as Nandin Erdene s solution. Since, investing into one country will allow it to improve their capital
and strengthen institution. After everyone was satisfied with their solutions, I did random
assessments to ensure our teammates were doing their things on time and made sure our project
was running smoothly.
Throughout this process, I learned much about the current status of Mongolia and the world.
During the research, I learned that Saudi Arabia was planning on to increase their share of non oil
exports to 16

The Benefitions Of Hard Work In My Life
As a young child, my Mother always would tell me; If you want something work hard for it. It s
that simple. That saying was constantly being stated around the house when my brother or I
would want to achieve a certain goal in school, sports or anything. This saying has transformed
me over the years into the hard worker that I am to this day. Throughout my life coaches, family,
and teachers regularly told me to work hard and give 100% effort no matter what and I will
succeed. The characteristic of hard working and constantly giving outstanding effort describes
me as a person immensely because I consistently strive to achieve my goals. Ever since the age
of ten, my Mother told me do chores if I wanted extra money in order to buy anything my little
ten year old heart desired. She composed a chore list and pinned it to the fridge for me to earn a
little money, but only if I did the task the best I could. Although somehow my Mother can always
tell when my brother or I aren t giving our full potential. How? I am still unsure to this day, but
we never wanted the repercussions that came if one of us got caught slacking. Despite giving
100% effort and completing the chores the best I could for money seemed great, I happened to
have what seemed to be a mile long chore list. Overtime out of all my chores, I realized that my
main income from ages ten to fourteen involved scooping up the dog poop in our backyard for a
dollar per pile. Despite the gross appeal, picked up the dog s poop happened to become a steady
income rapidly. Everyday after school I made sure the yard was spotless so I could earn my
money. As years went on, I stopped getting paid to do household chores and they quickly became
an expectation since I live there. With no longer getting paid to do chores I would soon have to
get a job. Eventually I got a job, it was this past summer, I helped bail hay for my uncle and
helping out on his farm when needed. I made sure I was constantly giving a 100% effort to get
that job done because that s what my Mother taught me to do. Since I was consistently hard
working, he knew he could rely on me. Although a household chore and a real job may seem
different, I feel that I should work hard on any chore or job no

St Patrick s Day Parade Essay
On March 13th, 2016, the city of Toronto held its annual 29th St. Patrick s Day Parade, in the
heart of the downtown core. The Toronto St. Patrick s Day Parade is one of the most top
celebrations in North America. This event celebrates the Irish community and the diverse culture
that contributed to Toronto, with various pipe bands, floats and marching band from different
groups. The 2016 parade began at noon and started at Bloor and St. George heading east along
Bloor Street, and finishing at Nathan Phillips Square. During this event, I had the pleasure of
participating as a Toronto PoliceAuxiliary Officer and through this, I was able to grasp a coherent

This was easily seen in the St. Patrick s Day parade, where people were getting pushed around in
the crowd, which led to one incident of an female individual unable to breath and the paramedics
being called. Jaguaribe (2013) proposed that during carnival time, social signs are inverted; the
poor were decked out in glorious finery, men were clothed as women, impoverished black men
and women were transformed into baroque courtiers of the French Court, family men shed their
inhibitions, and housewives revelled in insinuating costumes (Jaguaribe, 2013). I agree with
Jaguaribe s argument in terms of blacks dressing up someone else, this can be seen in the St.
Patrick s Day parade, where people from various ethnic backgrounds were participating in the
parade itself, dressed up as Leprechauns and other various costumes. However, in relation to the
St. Patrick s Day parade, I argue that the social relations were actually enhanced. In order to
participate in the parade, you had to apply beforehand with a fee, which may have prevented
homeless people or others from participating due to the regulations on holding a parade in Toronto.
In conclusion, my attendance and observation at the St. Patrick s Day parade gave me a clear and
concise idea on the surrounding issues

Ancient Civilizations Of Mesopotamia And Mesopotamia
Sumerian (3500 2300BC) Babylonian (1792 1750 BC) both belong to civilizations of
Mesopotamia, but they existed different period. The ancient civilizations of Mesopotamia are
the source of the earliest surviving art; these civilizations were situated between the Tigris and
the Euphrates Rivers. Dating back to 3500 B.C.E., Mesopotamian art was intended to serve as a
way to glorify powerful rulers and their connection to divinity. Art was made from natural
resources such as stone, shells, alabaster and marble, and was often created as didactic pieces.
No artist signatures can be found on most of the work, because the pieces were meant to embody
the subject matter, rather than the creator. Popular items that typify this time period include
cylindrical seals, steles, narrative relief sculptures, and lavishly decorated tombs. More than
4,000 years ago the valleys of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers began to teem with life first the
Sumerian, then the Babylonian, Assyrian, Chaldean, and Persian empires. Here too excavations
have unearthed evidence of great skill and artistry. Examples of fine works in marble, diorite,
hammered gold, and lapis lazuliahve been found. Stone, wood, and metal was imported. Sumerian
art and architecture was ornate and complex primarily used for religious purposes painting and
sculpture the main median used. Of the many portraits produced in this area, some of the best are
those of Gudea, ruler of Lagash. Some of the portraits are in marble,

Vampire Subcultures
There are many subcultures in the United States that are strange to me that some people think are
completely normal. A subculture is a cultural group within a larger culture that has the same
interests, beliefs, behaviors, or religion. Subcultures varies from things like southern food culture,
to things like bodybuilding. The strangest subcultures to me are the vampires, and the bronies.
There were some more in mind, but these are the two that stood out the most to me.
Strangely enough, vampires are already in people s imagination. Now they have a cultural group
just for their imagination. I m not trying to seem disrespectful to the vampire subculture, but it s
honestly strange that they think they are real vampires. This lifestyle formed in the western culture,
stemming from horror films, and overall styles of Victorian England. The vampire subculture is just
like any other system of beliefs. They commit themselves to this lifestyle and participate in rituals.
Continually, vampires dress themselves in gothic clothing with dark eye shadow, and black nail
polish. In this vampire lifestyle, you will find blood donors who are people who allow the
vampires to drink their actual blood. The donors are hard to find, but they are subservient to the
vampires. There are different types of vampires within the vampire subculture. They have the
sanguinarians, the psychic vampires, the living vampires, and the transcendental vampires. The
sanguinarians who look at themselves as real

Essay on Intrinsic versus Extrinsic Motivation
Intrinsic versus Extrinsic Motivation
Introduction
The success of any business depends on the productivity and satisfaction of its employees.
Employees need to be motivated to work. Motivation can be defined as the inner force that drives
individuals to accomplish personal and organizational goals. Motivation can be either intrinsic or
extrinsic. For an individual to be motivated in a work situation there must be a need, which the
individual would have to perceive a possibility of satisfying through some reward. Intrinsic
motivation stems from motivations that are inherent and arise from performing the task of the job
itself, which the individual gets a feeling of either positive or negative motivation as a result of ...

Those that are intrinsically motivated have a bit of advantages over workers who are more
predominantly extrinsically motivated. For instance, intrinsically motivated people work on job
tasks because they find them enjoyable and interesting. Additionally, there is evidence showing that
intrinsic motivation is positively correlated with learning, achievement, perception of competence
and self efficacy. At the same time, it is negatively correlated with anxiety, depression, and
frustration. An intrinsically motivated individual will be committed to his or her work to the extent
to which the job inherently contains tasks that are inherently rewarding to him or her (Lei, 2010).
Drawbacks of Intrinsic Motivation Although intrinsic motivation has numerous benefits, few
drawbacks of intrinsic motivation should also be considered as well. An intense form of intrinsic
motivation can reach to the point that employees can completely lose track of time and space,
completely ignore authority and other important tasks, as well as not having enough time to learn
or perform other essential tasks while learning and enjoying a particular academic activity. When
performing an enjoyable task, a person can lose track of space or self awareness. Individuals
motivated by intrinsic gratification seek an experience for itself, rather than for anticipated rewards.
The process is considerably more important to them than the resulting product or outcome, which
has them working often

The Gay Rights Movement Essay
Thesis Statement: The Gay Rights Movement dates back to the 19th century. By 1970 gay and
lesbian organizations existed all over the United States and in other countries all over the world.
Some supporters of the movement would say that our society as a whole has made great strides
towards acceptance of homosexuality. However, gays and lesbians are still fighting for equality in
2009. The issues are vast and widespread, with same sex marriage at the top of the list. In the
world that we live in today one might be surprised to learn how many countries are accepting of
gay and lesbians, as well as how many are not. The world has made progress within the last decade

Following the ruling more than 18,000 couples married. Prior to the November 4, 2008 election,
a ballot called Proposition 8 was proposed for general election. It called for a ban of same sex
marriages. It passed on November 4, 2008 leaving those previously married couples uncertain of
their marital status. There were numerous demonstrations throughout the nation. Several
lawsuits were also filed. Oral arguments were heard on March 5, 2009 and a decision is
expected within ninety days ( California Proposition 8 ). As we await the decision, many
individuals are speaking out. If the court rules that only existing marriages of same sex couples
are valid, it will be a hollow victory, because we do not want to be the only ones on the Freedom
Train. The California Supreme Court needs to overturn Proposition 8 because what Prop. 8 does
for the first time in American history is to take out of a constitution a group that has been declared
equal by the supreme court (Tyler). LBGT supporters feel the victory must overturn the November
4 ruling as it speaks to a fundamental civil right within our constitution. Same sex marriage is a
controversial and very serious legal issue that needs to be resolved. I disagree with the individual
state rulings. The laws honoring and protecting heterosexual married couples remains the same in
50 states.

Symbolism In Avatar
In James Cameron s film, Avatar, the plot begins by introducing the protagonist Jake Sully. Jake, a
paraplegic marine, is sought out to join the Avatar Program, a scientific journey through space to
discover an unknown world and its people. Because its atmosphere is poisonous to humans, the
scientists who are a part of the project have created genetically engineered human Na vi bodies,
called Avatars, that they use to explore the planet of Pandora. Jake Sully and his team end up
overstepping the bounds and using the information gained from the Na vi against them in an
attempt to destroy their home and take the precious materials that lay beneath the surface (IMDB).
Avatarby James Cameronsymbolizes European s exploitation of Native American lands by
portraying the aggressive exploration of a new world. Cameron emphasizes the symbolism by
comparing the new planet of Pandora to the new world of North America and by depicting a native
culture extremely similar to Native American Indians. He even goes as far as creating a modern
day Pocahontas inspired plot to further suggest a connection to European s conquest.
Cameron s film shows humans leaving earth to inhabit the newly discovered moon, Pandora. The
newcomers quickly grow meaningful connections to the alien natives of Pandora, the Na vi, while
they covertly plot for an aggressive exploitation of the moon s resources. This situation is
thoroughly representative of early European s encounters with Native Americans. The

Accomplish Victory
What is a recession? A recession is declared once the GDP is negative for two consecutive
quarters or more, a few quarters before is actually the start of an economic downturn. GDP is
defined as gross domestic product and that basically means the total value of goods the United
States has produced, for the year. The first few signs of a recessionare negative growth followed by
a miniature positive growth. Because American citizens don t have the money to spend they don t
spend and the consumer spending aspect of the economy takes a drastic downfall. Unemployment
rates also have play in determining a recession (22). Proper money management and finances could

Then depending on the person they could take years to pay off that one bill out of the other 20
that they have. So what I am saying here is that if many people do this then, the economy will
inflate, causing the value of money to go down prices to go up and so on and so forth.
One of the hardest and most difficult economic recessions in history was accomplished using
Keynesian economics by John Fredrick Kennedy. Keynesian economics is a theory of total
spending in the economy (called aggregate demand) and its effects on output and inflation.
Although the term has been used (and abused) to describe many things over the years there is six
principal systems or beliefs that are what a Keynesian believes. (20) A Keynesian believes that
total demand is inclined by a swarm of financial decisions public and private. The public decisions
include, financial and economic policies. Nearly all Keynesians and monetarists believe that both
financial and economic policies affect total demand. Secondly changes in total demand have their
affect on output and on employment not on prices. Keynesians believe that it must get worse for it
to get better. Also they believe that we live in the short run of things not in the long run. Keynes s
famous statement, In the long run, we are all dead. Thirdly Keynesians believe that prices, and more

Climate Analysis On Climate Archives
There is significant evidence from studies based on climate archives that the Earth s climate
about 10 000 years ago was very different from the present climate; it has changed a lot since the
last glacial period which ended about 10 000 12 000 years ago (Chappell, 1998). Hence, about
10 000 years ago the Earth was buried under ice sheets and it was much cooler than present
temperatures (see Figure 1, Appendix) (Chappell, 1998). The Earth that has been cycling between
cold and warm climates for ages and is currently in the interglacial period where it has slowly
become warmer along with a rise in sea level (Watts, 2009). There are many climatearchives which

Corals were first discovered about 200 million years, however most have grown over the last 10
000 years. Therefore, corals are great climate archives to use in order to study the climate from
the last 10 000 years. Corals also have a wide array of climatic history stored within them
(Introduction: Coral Reefs, 2015). They have a long lifetime and rapid growth which makes them
ideal climate archives for studying the past climate (Ocean Circulation and Climate Dynamics,
2015). Along with the corals there is the foraminifera; also referred to as sea floor fossils. These
sea floor fossils are often found in sediment cores and can reveal a variety of things about the past
climate through ocean currents, temperature and oxygen ratios. Also these fossils are the most
common source of paleoceanographic proxies, making them easily available (Kucera, 2007).
Hence, foraminifera or sea floor fossils are an ideal climate archives for studying the past climate
from about 10 000 years ago alongside corals. Information about the past climate can not only help
us understand our present climate but can also help predict our future climate trends.
Corals, which are one of the climate archives been discussed, are living organisms who produce a
calcium carbonate skeleton to make themselves look like rocks. The calcium carbonate bands
found in corals help form permanent records of seasonal and annual climate changes. Corals are a

Organic Dye Research Paper
Any grocery store you walk into you can see a wide variety of colors, but the sad fact is most of
which are most likely artificially made. He in the United States we use about fifteen million
pounds of artificial colors in our food, hair products, and even vitamins. We started using dyes in
our food in the mid 1800s when Henry Perkin made the first synthetic organic dye, now we are
mass producing the dyes and the industry is booming at an alarming rate. These dyes are now in
most of our foods; wether it be candy, chips, and juices. These fascinating colors may be attractive
to the eye; but they have no real benefits in our food, they can be extremely harmful to your body,
and there are plenty of natural alternatives.
There is no real reason why the FDA has approved some of these artificial food dyes to be in our

Why A Mass Murderer Commits A Crime Essay
As usual, he was dressed in black that day, Jamie Rouse saw two female teachers talking in the
hallway, so he silently progressed towards them, and shot both of the teachers in the head. Then
with a grin, Jamie turned towards the school s football coach. Instead of hitting the coach Jamie
tore a bullet through a student s throat. Sadly, sixteen year old Diane Collins ended up in the
wrong place at the wrong time. She died that day. According to a study, rampage killers usually
talk long before their heinous plans to commit the murder. Also, in 54 of the 100 cases, shooters
like Jamie gave direct blueprints of where, when, and who they predetermined to kill (Glaberson,
and Goodstein). Others heard or saw the shooter go through earlier tendencies, signs of mental
illnesses, and the people or places around the killerfailed to do anything about the shooter s plan.
For fame, revenge, or simply a sense of belonging, there are many reasons why a mass murderer
commits a crime. According to Andrea Bonior, she has a Ph. D. in licensed clinical
psychologist, she writes, he wanted to triumph and be somebody. People denounce celebrities who
have gotten that way for doing nothing, and we re rapid to take offense at people who ll do
anything to get publicity.
Another motive can be the killer wants to seek vengeance on people or places. In the article

Maya Ceramics Essay
There are many different types of styles and cultures that affect the work of ceramics. One type
of culture that was very interesting was the Pre Columbian Maya culture of Mesoamerica. The
natural environment that the Mayans lived in offered a wealth of materials and ideas to give
works of beautiful art. The Maya used ceramics every day, small cups for drinking vessels, tall
cylinders for storing and pouring ritual beverages, and plates for all sorts of delicious foodstuffs,
from tamales to corncakes served with sauces ( Miller 190). The Maya had specific techniques and
shared similarities with the ancient Greeks regarding how they formed their own clay slips.

Maya civilization was civic and hierarchical. Innumerable rituals, both private and public

unique painted pottery ware for the accompanying feasts.
The painted vessels attended an auxiliary significant role as social currency within the domain of

One of the exceptional attributes of Classic Maya painted pottery is the aspect of painted

These texts were utilized as a principal designs feature, as relational devices to fabric the pictorial
field and to stand in as the rooflines and pillars of the architectural surroundings portrayed on many
vessels.
Most substantial characteristic of Classic Maya pottery which acclaimed it to function as an
effectual emblem of political prestige was the sixth century AD origination of new painting styles,

Will Rogers Essay
Will Rogers
Not many people remember Will Rogers, but in the 1930 s he was the most well known man in
America more popular than Shirley Temple. He was a simple cowpoke who entertained people
with his rope tricks and sly political observations. He also wrote a widely read newspaper
column and appeared on the raido every week. I supose he is alot like Bill Cosby is today:
beloved for his down to earth style of humor. But that quot;aww, shucks quot; attitude hid a brilliant
mind. Furthermore, Will Rogers was more than just a comedian; he was a man of character.
Throughout his life, he exhibited the qualities of humility, fairness, generosity, and loyalty witch
make him a real American hero.
Will was born in Oklahoma and proud of it. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During the Depression, many people were worried about what was going on in Washington. When
Will pointed out some politican who said one thing and did another, or criticized some program in
Washington he didn t approve of, he d disquise his criticism behind a joke so as not to offend. But
Will would also get straight to the heart of the matter, letting the American people know that he
thought just as they did.
As you can see, Will understood people. In fact,he used to say, quot;I never met a man I didn t
like. quot; How many of us can say that? He d go on to explain the Indian belief that quot;you
have to go around and stand behind someone to get a look at what he s lookin at. quot; Only then
do you see things from his perspective. This fairness is remarkable, especially at a time in
America when racism was everywhere. Will s Indian heritage helped him to look at people as
people, to see beyond color or status in the world. He treated the political elite and the unemployed
with the same respect and good humor. In fact, he often made fun of himself, which allowed
everyone to relax and see the good sense behind much of what he said about the rest of society.
This generous attitude translated into many other areas of his life. During the Depression, Will was
very sympathetic to those who had lost everything their savings, their jobs, and their sense of
security. He himself had lost his entire fortune when

Kantian Views On War
While readings from Thucydides, Aristotle, and Machiavelli provide unique insight in the way
war is justified in early civil society, the introduction of globalization into international relations
leads us to ask if early theories regarding war and justice are still relevant to new and complex
power relationships. For the purpose of creating practical connections, I intend to look at several
possible jus in bello applications of two contemporary military technologies: nuclear weapons and
drones (otherwise known as Unmanned Armed Vehicles). There are many cases of emerging
military technologies that raise valuable question in regards to just acts of war, but I chose these two
in particular because of they provide two seemingly opposing perspectives... Show more content on

In Perpetual Peace, Kant supplies firstly that the suspension of hostilities does not supply the
security of peace, and unless this security is pledged... the latter... can treat the former as an enemy
(111). He then supplies that nations never have a right to war and that without a contract among
nations peace can be neither inaugurated nor guaranteed (117). The argument that the suspension
of hostilities does not create long term peace is not one that I intend to invalidate, but the case of
nuclear weapons does provide an example of its suspended use having acted as an effective
deterrent for military conflict (while still, admittedly, allowing for tension and ideological
conflicts). The Cold War and the concept of Mutually Assured Destruction between the US and the
USSR forces us to consider the ways that nuclear weapons could potentially create extended
periods of peace simply due to the notion that nuclear weapons might have symbolic power beyond
the kinds of hostilities that Kant imagined. Kant described here a league of peace that ensured
peaceful actions among nations, and while such leagues have and do exist now, we have not
reached an era of global peace. This is what makes the ideology of nuclear peace so compelling
towards a Kantian perspective: the argument that the concept of Mutually Assured Destruction can
create international stability in the face of major ideological conflicts does not ignore existing
hostile sentiments but it does give the concept of perpetual peace substance and practicality that
existing international leagues cannot always provide. Such a theory, however, while compelling, is
ultimately flawed in that it assumes that all

A main misconception of terrorism especially in today s society is that, society views terrorism as

Improving Current System Of Police Reporting
5.5 Improvement to Current Situation
According to five factors that have been proposed, we had suggested some recommendations to
improve current system of police reporting in Malaysia which is the Police Reporting System
(PRS) to ensure that the function of the PRS will definitely helped to record and transfer the report
in a better and easier way.
5.5.1 Role
As mentioned above, role is very important factor in police reporting in order to make the report,
received statement from complainant, and most important thing is to transfer the report to
another police officers. As a recommendation, police organization in Malaysia can organize or
provide a training program for police personnel on duty at the enquiry office about the use and
maintenance of the PRS so that they can write the report quickly and also they know the function
for every single menu and button of the PRS. Plus, if the PRS are breakdown, the police
personnel will know how to fix the problem. Thus, it wills not wasting time to wait for the
technical team to fix the problem and also they no need to write the report manually in POL 55
and re type it once the PRS was fixed.
Besides that, enquiry officer also are encourage to more than one language. For instance, if the
complainant who come over to lodge a report does not know to speak Bahasa Malaysia, the enquiry
officer are able to speak another language like English, Mandarin, Tamil or any language that easy
to understand by the complainant.

A Basic Understanding Of Irish Law
To address this question, a basic understanding of Irish law with all its complexities and
contradictions is necessary. Irish law lays the foundations for all aspects of life within Irish
society and just as society itself is constantly evolving, so too is Irish law as it is being constantly
updated, reviewed and amended to keep up with the times and a modernising society. This essay
will focus solely on the education sector and the respective underpinning principals which guide,
direct and influence practitioners as they work within this sector. The themes of reasonableness,
proportionality and equality form the back bone of the Irish legal system and this is no different
within the education sector. By focusing on the aforementioned themes, this essay will discuss
areas of health and safety, duty of care and negligence, bullying, special educational needs,
employment law, codes of behaviour, child protection and family law as well as admission and
participation policies and furthermore draw upon relevant legislation and appropriate documents
and cases to highlight the governing legal principals at play within the education sector. As
practitioners in this sector, one must be continually aware of the changing nature of society as well
as the underpinning legal principles which govern and direct all aspects of teaching, learning and
administration. Firstly, and before any learning or teaching can take place, health and safety take
precedence. Therefore the Health and Safety

John Locke s Second Treatise Of Government
John Locke and the founding father did not include every single right in the Constitution,
however, that does not mean that a right can be claimed without the people s consent. In the
Second Treatise of Government, John Lock discusses the prerogative right that a President can
claim. The prerogative right is the right of a president to act according to discursion for the
public good . Executive Privilege is not usually an issue when the President acts in the common
good of individuals because most individuals understand why the action is taken. When an action
is for the public good, the people are very seldom or never scrupulous or nice in the point or
questioning of prerogative whilst it is in any tolerable degree employed for the use it... Show more

This was the case in United States v. Nixon. In this case, John Locke would say But when
mistakes or flattery prevail with weak princes, to make use of this power, for private ends of
their own and not for the public good, the people were fain by the express laws, to get
prerogative determined in those points wherein they found disadvantage from it, and declare
limitations of prerogative in those cases which they and their ancestors had left in the utmost
latitude to the wisdom of those princes who made no other but a right use of it... . John Locke is
pointing out that the people always retain the right to revoke or modify a prerogative given to
the President when that prerogative is not being used in the best interest of the public. Due to
this fact, the proposed test does not allow a President to invoke Executive Privilege for decisions
that are not related to national security or past actions. There is no public interest in a President s
actions prior to taking the Presidential Oath and office. The President must be held accountable for
his actions as a civilian and being President cannot stop that from happening. The same applies to
when the President is completing his daily duties. There is no need for a President to dear being
sued if he is acting in the best interest of the country. Justice White highlighted a similar theory to
that of John Locke in his dissent from United States v.

Underachievement in schools can be heavily linked to factors that are internalised within the
school. Both internal and external factors can contribute to the underachievement of pupils who
belong to a working class background, and they may be equally as effectual on the
underachievement of the pupil.
One of the major causes of underachievement is the lack of economic capital, proposed by Pierre
Bourdieu (1984), that a working class family possess. As item A states, sociologists claim that
factors outside the school, such as parental attitudes and parental income, are the main causes of
working class underachievement. Children who belong to a working class background may not be

This is due to the elaborated code being used by teachers, as well as questions and textbooks being
written with more complex vocabulary. As well as this, Bernstein said that the elaborated code is a
more effective tool for analysing and reasoning and for expressing thoughts clearly and effectively,
which are all essential in achieving highly during education. This, ultimately leads to higher
achievement for middle class children cause they are comfortable with more complex language,
and therefore have the necessary understanding to achieve highly. Comparatively, working class
children struggle to understand the elaborated code, because they simply haven t been brought up
in a household where this type of speech is used frequently. This leads to underachievement
amongst the working class. Due to the use of the restricted code, these pupils may be labelled by
teachers as less able and therefore streamed into lower sets, leading to a self fulfilling prophecy.
These lower sets may consist if pupils who belong to an anti school subculture, which can disrupt
the learning of fellow pupils, thus leading to a higher chance of underachievement.
Thirdly, parenting style is also a hugely contributing factor for underachievement. As item A states,
factors outside the school, such as parental attitudes and parental income, are the main causes of
working class underachievement. Educated parents emphasise consistent

Today s Economical Problems (An analysis of why the rich are getting richer and the poor are

remains at nearly ten percent, the highest level in almost 30 years; foreclosures have forced
millions of Americans out of their homes; and real incomes have fallen faster and further than at
any time since the Great Depression. Hamilton Nolton says that In reality, all of the money has
gone to the rich (Nolan). Many of those laid off fear that the jobs they have lost will never return.
The secure, often unionized, industrial jobs that provided wealth, security, and opportunity will

misery. James Myles adds interesting insight stating that the perception that a few people are

Analysis Of Blade Runner And Frankenstein
The question of what makes something truly alive and human has been hotly disputed for an
incredibly long time. Different viewpoints have different criteria, but all roads eventually lead to
the same conclusion. Humanism is, at it s most basic form, the ability to objectively think and
make decisions based upon one s past experiences and moral compass. Blade Runnerand
Frankenstein both confront the issue of non humans displaying humancharacteristics. Replicants
and the Monster both are on the very outskirts of humanity, but they are capable of rational thought
and compassion, along with the pursuit of happiness. This has created a sort of creepy feeling, with
our modern perspective of humanism encroaching on the progressive views of the two stories in
question. Blade Runner and Frankenstein have a warped concept of human life in the way of the
place of science in the creation of life, the prejudice of xenophobia, and an uncomfortableness with
one s values of true humanism. Shelley s Frankenstein demonstrates the uneasiness that comes with
creating life through unnatural means. Blade Runner also confronts the inner conflict of Deckard
as he wrestles with his feelings for Rachael and his mission to terminate the other replicants. Tying
the two together, both artificial humans in the stories are very similar. The beings are
amalgamations of parts, human flesh in Frankenstein and mechanical parts in Blade Runner. The
semi humans are both interested in blending in, along

cabbage, are most suitable. You can prepare them as raw food, lightly steamed or as a soup or

All spices are allowed, just be careful with salt. Bockshorn clover, chili, ginger or even chopped,

What are the possible effects on performance when a performer enters a major competition with a
high level of anxiety? Discuss the strategies and techniques the performer may use to manage
anxiety in the build up to the competition.
Anxiety is the negative aspect of experiencing stress. Anxiety is the worry and unpleasant feeling
experienced because of the fear or possibility of failure.
Anxiety is seen to cause a negative impact on performance especially when levels are high.
Anxiety can cause many side effects. These effects of anxiety are split into two categories:

Here the performer is monitored electronically on any physiological variables such as heart rate and
sweating (using a galvanic skin response). Once these levels rise because of anxiety then the
performer will think of pleasant thoughts to then reduce anxiety.
The performer can also use breathing control to reduce anxiety. This involves diaphragmatic
breathing (breathing deeply) as a means of focusing on relaxation.
Another somatic technique similar to breathing control is centering. Here the performer focuses on
the rate of breathing and maintaining a slow, steady pace. These both keep you more focused and
help to avoid any possible distractions.
The final somatic technique that can be used is progressive muscular relaxation. Here you tense
your muscles one by one for a few seconds from head to toe. This then leaves each muscle more
relaxed than normal helping to reduce anxiety levels and its effects.
The majority of these techniques, both cognitive and somatic must be practiced and learnt in
training in order for them to become effective when competing.
A performer can also use Goal setting to manage their anxiety levels. By using the SMARTER
principle of goal setting the performer will set realistic and achievable goals. This will then
provide a direction of efforts for the performer. As a result; selective attention will improve,
motivation levels will increase, task persistence will increase and self confidence will

Comparison Of Black Beauty And Ella Enchanted
The books Black Beauty by Anna Sewell and Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine may seem
worlds apart at first glance. Black Beauty is a classic tale about a horse in the 1800 s as he is
passed from owner to owner, each treating him with different levels of respect and kindness,
showing whatever social class, age, or gender someone may be or belong to, kindness is a
choice, and it really does affect people and animals. Ella Enchanted is a more recent story, but no
less compelling. It is a creative retelling of Cinderella, with a protagonist cursed to obedience by a

their general idea is the same. The characters are different, both at their surfaces and cores, but
they are also similar on the inside as well. Ella is a female human, while Black Beauty is a male

Kennedy had many accomplishments during his short presidency. One of these accomplishments
was in regards to the Cuban Missile Crisis. He played a lead role in figuring out how to settle this
with the Soviet Union. He also abolished the federal death penalty in 1962. He initiated Project
Apollo which ended up accomplishing landing the first humans on the moon between 1969 1972!
Lastly, he played a large part in stopping racism and segregation. He showed a lot of love and
sincerity with this and the American people appreciated and admired him for that. He highly
disagreed with segregation and focused on civil rights towards the end of his election. On June
11th, 1963, he delivered a televised speech stating his beliefs and presented a proposal for a new

Why Is Gladiator Considered A Good Person
Society always judges people on their actions, thinking about how moral or immoral. In the movie
Gladiator by Ridley Scott, they explore the wrongs of man. The protagonist, Maximus Decimus
Meridius is portrayed as a good person because of his honorability. On the other hand, Commodus
is portrayed as bad or evilbecause of the way he treats the good person. While stories usually have
good and bad characters, there s a sign on how we know which one is bad and which one isn t.
People usually get attracted to the protagonist rather than the antagonist. In Gladiator, Meridius
is shown as a good person because of his honorability and pride. Three weeks from now, I will be
harvesting my crops. Imagine where you will be, and it will be so. Hold the line! Stay with me!
If you find yourself alone, riding in the green fields with the sun on your face, do not be troubled.

Commodus, the antagonist from Gladiator, is considered a bad person because of the way he
treats other characters. If you re very good, tomorrow night I ll tell you the story of emperor
Claudius who was betrayed by those closest to him, by his own blood. They whispered in dark
corners and went out late at night and conspired and conspired but the emperor Claudius knew
they were up to something. He knew they were busy little bees. And one night he sat down with
one of them and he looked at her and he said, Tell me what you ve been doing busy little bee or I
shall strike down those dearest to you. You shall watch as I bathe in their blood. And the emperor
was heartbroken. The little bee had wounded him more deeply than anyone else could ever have
done. This quote, said by Commodus, is when he is talking to his nephew while his sister sits
across the table. While he is talking to the kid, he wants to tell his sister that if she doesn t tell him
everything, he will murder his nephew, hence the audience knowing he s a bad/evil

The Fundamentals of Merchandising
The Principles of Merchandising
The past decade has witnessed sea change in the world of retail, of which increasing competition is
just one aspect. New and emerging technologies and customers fragmentation has made it even
more difficult for retailers to retain consumers who are loyal to their stores. Walters and Hanharan
have identified four key elements of the strategic direction that are retailer may take, they are: *
Merchandise strategy; * Communications strategy; * Customer service strategy; and * Format and
environment strategy.
Among all the elements of retail strategy, that of merchandising is becoming increasingly
important, eventually determining the loyalty that a customer may have for a retail store. Over ...

The structure of the merchandising department largely depends on the organizational structure
adopted by that particular retail organization. Many organizations may also have a position known
as a Purchase Agent. Purchase Agent and Buyers commonly focus on routine purchasing tasks,
often specializing in a commodity or a group of related commodities, such as steel, cotton, grains,
fabricated metal products, or petroleum products. Purchase Agents usually track market conditions,
price trends, or futures markets.
The Merchandiser, on the other hand, is responsible for particular lines of merchandise. For
example, in a departmental store, there may be merchandisers for menswear, women swear,
children s wear, etc. The basic duties of the merchandiser can be divided into four areas: planning,
directing, coordinating and controlling as follows: 1. Planning. Though merchandisers may not be
directly involved in the actual purchase of merchandise, they formulate the policies for areas in
which they are responsible. These include forecasting sales for the forthcoming budget period,
which further involves estimating consumer demand and the impact of changes in the retail
environment. These sales forecasts are then translated into budgets to help the buyers to work
within the financial guidelines. 2. Directing. Guiding and training buyers as and when the need
arises is also a function of the merchandiser. Many a times, buyers

Cognitive Observations In Eating Pancakes
Introduction
In the Eating Pancakes tape segment, Augie is approximately two and a half years old. Augie is
sitting at the dining table, eating a breakfast of pancakes with his grandmother, grandfather, Uncle
Andres and his father. In the Snake tape segment, Bunny is four years old. Bunny is sitting on the
sofa with his mother. In both tapes, Augie and Bunny are in a familiar environment with family
members he seemingly spends a great deal of time and feels comfortable with.
Cognitive Observations
From two to seven years old, children experience the second stage of Jean Piaget s theory of
cognitive development, known as the preoperational stage. During this stage, children develop the
ability to represent their experiences though language, mental imagery and symbolic thought. It is
referred to as preoperational because children are not quite able to perform more complex mental
operations (Siegler, 2014). During the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

based on the picture on the front of the box. Augie says the image is a race car; Professor
Gopnik corrects Augie and tells him it is a Band Aid and asks him again what he thinks will be
inside the box; Augie confirms that Band Aids will be in the box. After opening the box,
Professor Gopnik asks again what is in the box and Augie responds with tickets, the term he uses
for quarters. Professor Gopnik corrects Augie by saying it is money, to which Augie says, to pay
for the BART tickets. Professor Gopnik tells Augie she has another game to play with him; she sits
opposite from Augie with a large book and puts the quarters behind the book, obscured from Augie.
She asks Augie if he can see the quarters to which he responds that he cannot. She asks Augie if she

The Contributions of Isaac Newton Essay
Sir Isaac Newton was a profound mathematician and physicist, one of the primary
scientificintellects of all time. For almost 300 years, Newton has been known as the leader in
scientific achievements of modern physical science as well as mathematical research. Dedicated to
learning and experimenting, Newton also plunged into chemistry, early history of Western
Civilization and theology, and a concentration of special studies in forms and dimensions, which
also included Solomon s Temple in Jerusalem.
On Christmas day in 1642, Newton was born to a widowed farming mother. In 1664 while still a
student, Newton studied optics and light. He investigated the refraction of light by a glass prism,
which led to discovering measurable mathematical ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Late in life, Newton apologized for the algebraic style of recent mathematical progress. He favored
the classical geometrical method of the Greeks because of its clarity and rigor (5).
Newton also made extreme progress in physics. According to the well known story, Newton
witnessed an apple falling from a tree in his orchard. From this he conceivedan idea in his mind
that the same force that governs the Moon could also, control the apple. Newton then calculated
the force needed to hold the moon in its orbit comparing it to the force that pulls an object to the
ground. He furthered his experiment to include calculations from the centripetal force equation and
the pendulum sling relationship. Thus, this began the experimentation of gravity and the
development of the laws of gravity. While working with John Hooke, Newton redirected his
experiment to the problem of the path of a body subjected to a centrally directed force that varies
as the inverse square of the distance. Newton determined this to be an ellipse. With an interest in
Haley s Comet, Newton demonstrated the relationship of his new findings with his previous
findings (6). This led him to write a brief essay on mechanics, and to finally write the Principia.
The Book Principia is broken into three parts. Book I begins with the foundation of the science of
mathematics and the

Persuasive Essay On Bioprinting
Bioengineering has been a growing field over the past few years. The new advances and
research that result from bioengineer can solve problems deemed impossible before. Engineers
have been working on new technology that utilizes stem cells to treat disease and save lives.
The stem cells used in treatment are called embryonic stem cells. Embryonic stem cells are
formed from five day old human embryos. The usage of embryonic stem cells has caused
controversy from pro life advocates who believe embryos to be a human life; and the use of
embryonic stem cells immoral. Despite the beliefs of pro life advocates who consider the use of
stem cells murder, the usage of stem cells for medical and scientific research and advancements is
absolutely ethical.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Nathaniel Hartman also stated that while pro life activist can have their opinion it s for the good
of society that embryonic stem cells are used for treatment. Despite the beliefs of pro life activists

would require the Army s engagement. The Declaration of Independence, signed by 56 individuals
from 13 colonies documented that day their high treason ( The Price , 2013). Every original signer
and their family were now targets. These individuals, identified by the King of England, became the

Sherman Alexie s Flight Essay
Fiction plays the important role of illustrating different perspectives to the masses. Sometimes,
novelists craft characters to represent their audiences desire for a new point of view; something a
half Native American foster child, called Zits, desperately needs in his life. In his novel, Flight,
Sherman Alexie transports Zits into minds across time to show the struggle between Native
Americans and Colonial Americans.
Setting in Flight changes rapidly as only a few chapters are dedicated to each piece of history. Zits
first travels to 1970 s which is revealed as he recalls a documentary pertaining to that period. Man,
when was that, back in 1975 or 1976? which is answered with This is 1975, and you and me we are

years. I respect you for that, okay? I love you for it. But if you screw this up, I m going to shoot
you in the face. Alexie (48) has Art use colloquialisms such as man and okay to show his casual
relationship with Hank. Art s character is also shown as he is shown to be able to profess his
fondness for his partner, and indirectly threaten to murder him in the same exchange. Later in the
novel, when Zits is reliving the memory of two pilots an exchange with similar diction, but
contrasting voice transpires: What would you have done if I wrecked your plane? I would have
killed you. (129). The relationships of the FBI agents and pilots are not different on the surface
both regard each other as their best friends but Art can credibly threaten Hank with murder, while it
is so outside the realm of impossibility for Ammad and Jimmy that they can joke about

  • 2. The Federal Judicial System When it comes to legal disputes the courts are the final decider of what the constitution means. This authority known as judicial review gives the Supreme Court and other federal courts the authority to interpret the constitution. The structure of the Federal judicial system is divided into 3 different courts, and each court plays a pivotal role in the judicial review. Along with the Federal judicial system, there are other factors that affect the judicial review. The first structure of the Federal judicial system is the district courts. There are 91 federal courts of original jurisdiction. They are the only federal courts in which trials are held, and in which juries may be enrolled. Some jurisdiction of the district courts includes the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Supreme Court is the highest court of the American judicial system. The Supreme Court of the United States spends most of its time on a task, which is not delegated to the Supreme Court by the Constitution. That task is hearing cases where the constitutionality of a law or regulation is challenged. The Supreme Court s nine Justices attempt to sort out what is, and what is not constitutional. The best known power of the Supreme Court is judicial review. Judicial review is the power of the courts to determine whether acts of congress and executive are in accord with the U.S. Constitution. This is not technically found within the text of the Constitution itself, but the court established this doctrine in the case of Marbury v. Madison. In 1803 during Thomas Jefferson s presidency, the Supreme Court of the U.S. was asked to decide the case of Marbury v. Madison. The case presented a monumental clash that gave the federal courts the power to determine the constitutionality of actions by the president and congress. Analyzing all of the legal and historical ramification, Chief Justice John Marshall devised a solution for deciding the case. He did this so the other 2 branches would accept the role of the courts and declare them unconstitutional. He did this by limiting the authority of all three branches, including the judicial branch. In Marbury v. Madison, the Supreme Court put limits on some of the powers of all 3 branches of government. They also declared the act of congress unconstitutional, limited some of the president s appointment powers, and diminished some of the court s powers under the judiciary ... • 4. The White Working Class That Caused These Problems Was it really the White working class that caused these problems? Or was it the companies that outsourced their jobs overseas? The white working class are also known as the hillbillies. They are people who have gone through a lot of suffering but also have made a lot problems on their own. While I definitely think that it is up to the former White working class to dig themselves out, I m unsure that they re the ones responsible for this mess. Loosing their jobs to outsourcing and loosing their sense of hope has led them to follow Donald Trumps campaign because he sympathizes with them and promises them economic and social changes. These families have struggled with poverty, domestic violence, drugs, and unemployment. One of those families was J.D. Vance s family. Vance grew up in the Rust Belt of Ohio, into a struggling, poor, abusive family. Vance escaped his hardships by enrolling into the Military and going to school. However, other people weren t as lucky as he was to get out, other families were still stuck in Hillbilly Middletown. Things were going good for these families until the 1970s and 1980s came along. This is when things took a toll, industrial jobs were cut, causing a down ward spiral for everyone in Ohio. This is when the alcoholism, drug use, and domestic violence became a norm. For about a century, the region seemed to be on a upward spiral. Middletown s streets today are full of shuttered storefronts and drug dealers, (Rothman,New Yorker). ... • 5. Structure Process And Facility Layout Forms of Transformation Processes used by Companies and Their Relation to the Facility Layout Selecting the most appropriate transformation process and facility layout is one of the keys towards achieving success in the company s performance. In general, there are many forms of transformation processes, and each has particular facility layout. What is more, there are also hybrid combinations of them so the organization can choose the one that best fits its needs and potential. Speaking of the basic forms of transformation systems, there are five of them including job shop, continuous process, cellular production, flow shop, and project (Meredith Shafer, 2013). Job shops are industries that offer a wide range of products and services. They can achieve diversity in possible outputs using departments functionally specializing in one or other good. The specialty of this transformation system is that the departments comprise of identical equipment or involve people with nearly the same set of skills, and the process is carried out on a non stop basis. It also has a peculiar layout that is based on a historically stable output so that it is rarely changed. The second type of transformation system is continuous process. Such industries use a set of materials and equipment and a sequence of processes to produce a final output. Facility layout of this transformation system is usually a set of needed equipment such as assembly lines, tanks, pipes, etc., and low skilled employees ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

During the discussions, all of the members of our group fully contributed and shared their point of views. During the research, we were given the assignment of finding possible solutions to our problem, which was economic crisis in Mongolia. My teammates at the time was distracted with the school s annual Talent Show, and didn t state new solutions besides the ones we already discussed. I knew something like this would happen, so I took careful planning in advance. I offered possible solutions that would be efficient, and in the end, we finalized our solutions. We were originally going to select Child... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... We decided unemployment rate, strengthen institution, FDI and export diversification would be the most effective way to solve the issue at hand. All of us knew low employment rate would be the one of leading cause, because Mongolia s unemployment rate is very high and most of the citizens live under poverty, exactly 1 out of 5 people. Tamir expanded on this solution and proposed improving education would be the best method. As for inflation, I offered export diversification as a solution, because increasing one s exports increases the demand for currency thus reduces deficit and reduces inflation/debts. I knew this solution would be effective, because Mongolia have the necessary resources to produce more than one centralized good, and become global competitor. In order for this to occur, skilled labor force, FDI and strengthen institution had to come into the picture. This is where Tamir and Nomun Erdene s solutions complemented my solution and as well as Nandin Erdene s solution. Since, investing into one country will allow it to improve their capital and strengthen institution. After everyone was satisfied with their solutions, I did random assessments to ensure our teammates were doing their things on time and made sure our project was running smoothly. Throughout this process, I learned much about the current status of Mongolia and the world. During the research, I learned that Saudi Arabia was planning on to increase their share of non oil exports to 16 ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. The Benefitions Of Hard Work In My Life As a young child, my Mother always would tell me; If you want something work hard for it. It s that simple. That saying was constantly being stated around the house when my brother or I would want to achieve a certain goal in school, sports or anything. This saying has transformed me over the years into the hard worker that I am to this day. Throughout my life coaches, family, and teachers regularly told me to work hard and give 100% effort no matter what and I will succeed. The characteristic of hard working and constantly giving outstanding effort describes me as a person immensely because I consistently strive to achieve my goals. Ever since the age of ten, my Mother told me do chores if I wanted extra money in order to buy anything my little ten year old heart desired. She composed a chore list and pinned it to the fridge for me to earn a little money, but only if I did the task the best I could. Although somehow my Mother can always tell when my brother or I aren t giving our full potential. How? I am still unsure to this day, but we never wanted the repercussions that came if one of us got caught slacking. Despite giving 100% effort and completing the chores the best I could for money seemed great, I happened to have what seemed to be a mile long chore list. Overtime out of all my chores, I realized that my main income from ages ten to fourteen involved scooping up the dog poop in our backyard for a dollar per pile. Despite the gross appeal, picked up the dog s poop happened to become a steady income rapidly. Everyday after school I made sure the yard was spotless so I could earn my money. As years went on, I stopped getting paid to do household chores and they quickly became an expectation since I live there. With no longer getting paid to do chores I would soon have to get a job. Eventually I got a job, it was this past summer, I helped bail hay for my uncle and helping out on his farm when needed. I made sure I was constantly giving a 100% effort to get that job done because that s what my Mother taught me to do. Since I was consistently hard working, he knew he could rely on me. Although a household chore and a real job may seem different, I feel that I should work hard on any chore or job no ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Toronto St. Patrick s Day Parade is one of the most top celebrations in North America. This event celebrates the Irish community and the diverse culture that contributed to Toronto, with various pipe bands, floats and marching band from different groups. The 2016 parade began at noon and started at Bloor and St. George heading east along Bloor Street, and finishing at Nathan Phillips Square. This was easily seen in the St. Patrick s Day parade, where people were getting pushed around in the crowd, which led to one incident of an female individual unable to breath and the paramedics being called. Jaguaribe (2013) proposed that during carnival time, social signs are inverted; the poor were decked out in glorious finery, men were clothed as women, impoverished black men and women were transformed into baroque courtiers of the French Court, family men shed their inhibitions, and housewives revelled in insinuating costumes (Jaguaribe, 2013). I agree with Jaguaribe s argument in terms of blacks dressing up someone else, this can be seen in the St. Patrick s Day parade, where people from various ethnic backgrounds were participating in the parade itself, dressed up as Leprechauns and other various costumes. However, in relation to the St. Patrick s Day parade, I argue that the social relations were actually enhanced. In order to participate in the parade, you had to apply beforehand with a fee, which may have prevented homeless people or others from participating due to the regulations on holding a parade in Toronto. In conclusion, my attendance and observation at the St. Patrick s Day parade gave me a clear and concise idea on the surrounding issues ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The ancient civilizations of Mesopotamia are the source of the earliest surviving art; these civilizations were situated between the Tigris and the Euphrates Rivers. Dating back to 3500 B.C.E., Mesopotamian art was intended to serve as a way to glorify powerful rulers and their connection to divinity. Art was made from natural resources such as stone, shells, alabaster and marble, and was often created as didactic pieces. No artist signatures can be found on most of the work, because the pieces were meant to embody the subject matter, rather than the creator. Popular items that typify this time period include cylindrical seals, steles, narrative relief sculptures, and lavishly decorated tombs. More than 4,000 years ago the valleys of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers began to teem with life first the Sumerian, then the Babylonian, Assyrian, Chaldean, and Persian empires. Here too excavations have unearthed evidence of great skill and artistry. Examples of fine works in marble, diorite, hammered gold, and lapis lazuliahve been found. Stone, wood, and metal was imported. Sumerian art and architecture was ornate and complex primarily used for religious purposes painting and sculpture the main median used. • 10. Vampire Subcultures There are many subcultures in the United States that are strange to me that some people think are completely normal. A subculture is a cultural group within a larger culture that has the same interests, beliefs, behaviors, or religion. Subcultures varies from things like southern food culture, to things like bodybuilding. The strangest subcultures to me are the vampires, and the bronies. There were some more in mind, but these are the two that stood out the most to me. Strangely enough, vampires are already in people s imagination. Now they have a cultural group just for their imagination. I m not trying to seem disrespectful to the vampire subculture, but it s honestly strange that they think they are real vampires. This lifestyle formed in the western culture, stemming from horror films, and overall styles of Victorian England. The vampire subculture is just like any other system of beliefs. They commit themselves to this lifestyle and participate in rituals. Continually, vampires dress themselves in gothic clothing with dark eye shadow, and black nail polish. In this vampire lifestyle, you will find blood donors who are people who allow the vampires to drink their actual blood. The donors are hard to find, but they are subservient to the vampires. • 11. Essay on Intrinsic versus Extrinsic Motivation Intrinsic versus Extrinsic Motivation Introduction The success of any business depends on the productivity and satisfaction of its employees. Employees need to be motivated to work. Motivation can be defined as the inner force that drives individuals to accomplish personal and organizational goals. Motivation can be either intrinsic or extrinsic. For an individual to be motivated in a work situation there must be a need, which the individual would have to perceive a possibility of satisfying through some reward. Intrinsic motivation stems from motivations that are inherent and arise from performing the task of the job itself, which the individual gets a feeling of either positive or negative motivation as a result of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Those that are intrinsically motivated have a bit of advantages over workers who are more predominantly extrinsically motivated. For instance, intrinsically motivated people work on job tasks because they find them enjoyable and interesting. Additionally, there is evidence showing that intrinsic motivation is positively correlated with learning, achievement, perception of competence and self efficacy. At the same time, it is negatively correlated with anxiety, depression, and frustration. An intrinsically motivated individual will be committed to his or her work to the extent to which the job inherently contains tasks that are inherently rewarding to him or her (Lei, 2010). Drawbacks of Intrinsic Motivation Although intrinsic motivation has numerous benefits, few drawbacks of intrinsic motivation should also be considered as well. An intense form of intrinsic motivation can reach to the point that employees can completely lose track of time and space, completely ignore authority and other important tasks, as well as not having enough time to learn or perform other essential tasks while learning and enjoying a particular academic activity. When performing an enjoyable task, a person can lose track of space or self awareness. Individuals motivated by intrinsic gratification seek an experience for itself, rather than for anticipated rewards. The process is considerably more important to them than the resulting product or outcome, which has them working often ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

By 1970 gay and lesbian organizations existed all over the United States and in other countries all over the world. Some supporters of the movement would say that our society as a whole has made great strides towards acceptance of homosexuality. However, gays and lesbians are still fighting for equality in 2009. The issues are vast and widespread, with same sex marriage at the top of the list. In the world that we live in today one might be surprised to learn how many countries are accepting of gay and lesbians, as well as how many are not. The world has made progress within the last decade regarding this issue, but definitely not enough. We need to take steps... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Following the ruling more than 18,000 couples married. Prior to the November 4, 2008 election, a ballot called Proposition 8 was proposed for general election. It called for a ban of same sex marriages. It passed on November 4, 2008 leaving those previously married couples uncertain of their marital status. There were numerous demonstrations throughout the nation. Several lawsuits were also filed. Oral arguments were heard on March 5, 2009 and a decision is expected within ninety days ( California Proposition 8 ). As we await the decision, many individuals are speaking out. If the court rules that only existing marriages of same sex couples are valid, it will be a hollow victory, because we do not want to be the only ones on the Freedom Train. The California Supreme Court needs to overturn Proposition 8 because what Prop. 8 does for the first time in American history is to take out of a constitution a group that has been declared equal by the supreme court (Tyler). LBGT supporters feel the victory must overturn the November 4 ruling as it speaks to a fundamental civil right within our constitution. Same sex marriage is a controversial and very serious legal issue that needs to be resolved. I disagree with the individual state rulings. The laws honoring and protecting heterosexual married couples remains the same in 50 states. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 13. Symbolism In Avatar In James Cameron s film, Avatar, the plot begins by introducing the protagonist Jake Sully. Jake, a paraplegic marine, is sought out to join the Avatar Program, a scientific journey through space to discover an unknown world and its people. Because its atmosphere is poisonous to humans, the scientists who are a part of the project have created genetically engineered human Na vi bodies, called Avatars, that they use to explore the planet of Pandora. Jake Sully and his team end up overstepping the bounds and using the information gained from the Na vi against them in an attempt to destroy their home and take the precious materials that lay beneath the surface (IMDB). Avatarby James Cameronsymbolizes European s exploitation of Native American lands by portraying the aggressive exploration of a new world. Cameron emphasizes the symbolism by comparing the new planet of Pandora to the new world of North America and by depicting a native culture extremely similar to Native American Indians. He even goes as far as creating a modern day Pocahontas inspired plot to further suggest a connection to European s conquest. Cameron s film shows humans leaving earth to inhabit the newly discovered moon, Pandora. The newcomers quickly grow meaningful connections to the alien natives of Pandora, the Na vi, while they covertly plot for an aggressive exploitation of the moon s resources. This situation is thoroughly representative of early European s encounters with Native Americans. The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A recession is declared once the GDP is negative for two consecutive quarters or more, a few quarters before is actually the start of an economic downturn. GDP is defined as gross domestic product and that basically means the total value of goods the United States has produced, for the year. The first few signs of a recessionare negative growth followed by a miniature positive growth. Because American citizens don t have the money to spend they don t spend and the consumer spending aspect of the economy takes a drastic downfall. Unemployment rates also have play in determining a recession (22). Proper money management and finances could bring an economy out of a recession. There are major flaws in the way... So what I am saying here is that if many people do this then, the economy will inflate, causing the value of money to go down prices to go up and so on and so forth. One of the hardest and most difficult economic recessions in history was accomplished using Keynesian economics by John Fredrick Kennedy. Keynesian economics is a theory of total spending in the economy (called aggregate demand) and its effects on output and inflation. Although the term has been used (and abused) to describe many things over the years there is six principal systems or beliefs that are what a Keynesian believes. (20) A Keynesian believes that total demand is inclined by a swarm of financial decisions public and private. The public decisions include, financial and economic policies. Nearly all Keynesians and monetarists believe that both financial and economic policies affect total demand. Secondly changes in total demand have their affect on output and on employment not on prices. Keynesians believe that it must get worse for it to get better. Also they believe that we live in the short run of things not in the long run. Keynes s famous statement, In the long run, we are all dead. Thirdly Keynesians believe that prices, and more ... Climate Analysis On Climate Archives There is significant evidence from studies based on climate archives that the Earth s climate about 10 000 years ago was very different from the present climate; it has changed a lot since the last glacial period which ended about 10 000 12 000 years ago (Chappell, 1998). Hence, about 10 000 years ago the Earth was buried under ice sheets and it was much cooler than present temperatures (see Figure 1, Appendix) (Chappell, 1998). The Earth that has been cycling between cold and warm climates for ages and is currently in the interglacial period where it has slowly become warmer along with a rise in sea level (Watts, 2009). Corals were first discovered about 200 million years, however most have grown over the last 10 000 years. Therefore, corals are great climate archives to use in order to study the climate from the last 10 000 years. Corals also have a wide array of climatic history stored within them (Introduction: Coral Reefs, 2015). They have a long lifetime and rapid growth which makes them ideal climate archives for studying the past climate (Ocean Circulation and Climate Dynamics, 2015). Along with the corals there is the foraminifera; also referred to as sea floor fossils. These sea floor fossils are often found in sediment cores and can reveal a variety of things about the past climate through ocean currents, temperature and oxygen ratios. Also these fossils are the most common source of paleoceanographic proxies, making them easily available (Kucera, 2007). Hence, foraminifera or sea floor fossils are an ideal climate archives for studying the past climate from about 10 000 years ago alongside corals. Sadly, sixteen year old Diane Collins ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time. She died that day. According to a study, rampage killers usually talk long before their heinous plans to commit the murder. Also, in 54 of the 100 cases, shooters like Jamie gave direct blueprints of where, when, and who they predetermined to kill (Glaberson, and Goodstein). Others heard or saw the shooter go through earlier tendencies, signs of mental illnesses, and the people or places around the killerfailed to do anything about the shooter s plan. For fame, revenge, or simply a sense of belonging, there are many reasons why a mass murderer commits a crime. According to Andrea Bonior, she has a Ph. The Maya used ceramics every day, small cups for drinking vessels, tall cylinders for storing and pouring ritual beverages, and plates for all sorts of delicious foodstuffs, from tamales to corncakes served with sauces ( Miller 190). For the purpose of creating practical connections, I intend to look at several possible jus in bello applications of two contemporary military technologies: nuclear weapons and drones (otherwise known as Unmanned Armed Vehicles). In Perpetual Peace, Kant supplies firstly that the suspension of hostilities does not supply the security of peace, and unless this security is pledged... the latter... can treat the former as an enemy (111). He then supplies that nations never have a right to war and that without a contract among nations peace can be neither inaugurated nor guaranteed (117). The argument that the suspension of hostilities does not create long term peace is not one that I intend to invalidate, but the case of nuclear weapons does provide an example of its suspended use having acted as an effective deterrent for military conflict (while still, admittedly, allowing for tension and ideological conflicts). The Cold War and the concept of Mutually Assured Destruction between the US and the USSR forces us to consider the ways that nuclear weapons could potentially create extended periods of peace simply due to the notion that nuclear weapons might have symbolic power beyond the kinds of hostilities that Kant imagined. Kant described here a league of peace that ensured peaceful actions among nations, and while such leagues have and do exist now, we have not reached an era of global peace. This is what makes the ideology of nuclear peace so compelling towards a Kantian perspective: the argument that the concept of Mutually Assured Destruction can create international stability in the face of major ideological conflicts does not ignore existing hostile sentiments but it does give the concept of perpetual peace substance and practicality that existing international leagues cannot always provide. The archbishops were spread all throughout the land including Rome, Constantinople, Alexandria, Jerusalem and Antioch but the issue in this situation was that the east contained four out of the five archbishops while the west simply had one archbishop, so there was not equal balance to both sides. • 37. Comparison Of Black Beauty And Ella Enchanted The books Black Beauty by Anna Sewell and Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine may seem worlds apart at first glance. Black Beauty is a classic tale about a horse in the 1800 s as he is passed from owner to owner, each treating him with different levels of respect and kindness, showing whatever social class, age, or gender someone may be or belong to, kindness is a choice, and it really does affect people and animals. Ella Enchanted is a more recent story, but no less compelling. It is a creative retelling of Cinderella, with a protagonist cursed to obedience by a fairy, yet she never stops trying to break the curse. In the end she risks everything at the three balls with the prince only to have things turn out in a way she never could... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They are happy when with people who are good, like the Birtwicks, Jerry, Mandy (Ella s fairy godmother), and Char (the prince). However, it is only a problem when selfish people are giving the orders, like Hattie commanding Ella to be a slave, and the earl s wife making his head stretch back painfully with the bearing rein. While the specifics of the conflicts are different, their general idea is the same. The characters are different, both at their surfaces and cores, but they are also similar on the inside as well. Ella is a female human, while Black Beauty is a male horse. However, Ella goes out and actively tries to break the curse (like running away to find Lucinda), while Black Beauty only does his best to follow commands, even if a stone is breaking apart his foot. They both refuse to give up, carrying on in their own ways. They make the best of what they have, and find their own joys, among their hardships, like Ella learning another language with her friend Areidia, and Black Beauty playing in the fields although he was working hard as Jerry s cab horse. Both characters are in similar situations, and while they respond differently, they both persevere. Both themes are about kindness and freedom, but they explore them differently. In Black Beauty, the theme addresses the person with the power, to be kind to the people under your jurisdiction. It ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

For example, in a departmental store, there may be merchandisers for menswear, women swear, children s wear, etc. The basic duties of the merchandiser can be divided into four areas: planning, directing, coordinating and controlling as follows: 1. Planning. Though merchandisers may not be directly involved in the actual purchase of merchandise, they formulate the policies for areas in which they are responsible. These include forecasting sales for the forthcoming budget period, which further involves estimating consumer demand and the impact of changes in the retail environment. For almost 300 years, Newton has been known as the leader in scientific achievements of modern physical science as well as mathematical research. Dedicated to learning and experimenting, Newton also plunged into chemistry, early history of Western Civilization and theology, and a concentration of special studies in forms and dimensions, which also included Solomon s Temple in Jerusalem. On Christmas day in 1642, Newton was born to a widowed farming mother. In 1664 while still a student, Newton studied optics and light. Late in life, Newton apologized for the algebraic style of recent mathematical progress. He favored the classical geometrical method of the Greeks because of its clarity and rigor (5). Newton also made extreme progress in physics. According to the well known story, Newton witnessed an apple falling from a tree in his orchard. From this he conceivedan idea in his mind that the same force that governs the Moon could also, control the apple. Newton then calculated the force needed to hold the moon in its orbit comparing it to the force that pulls an object to the ground. He furthered his experiment to include calculations from the centripetal force equation and the pendulum sling relationship. Thus, this began the experimentation of gravity and the development of the laws of gravity. While working with John Hooke, Newton redirected his experiment to the problem of the path of a body subjected to a centrally directed force that varies as the inverse square of the distance. Newton determined this to be an ellipse. With an interest in Haley s Comet, Newton demonstrated the relationship of his new findings with his previous findings (6). This led him to write a brief essay on mechanics, and to finally write the Principia. The Book Principia is broken into three parts. Book I begins with the foundation of the science of mathematics and the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
