While reading Absalom, Absalom! I was amazed at the number of times one of the
narrators would refer to faces or voices as being present rather than to the people
themselves. In almost every chapter this synecdoche appears, reducing many of the

standards include light skin, nice butts, thin waists. You can t be too skinny, or too
fat, or too short. You have to have long hair so the boys will like you and you have
to learn how to cook the minute you re able to hold a spoon so you can provide for
your husband. In today s modern world, a lot of these standards would be debunked
by feminists and social justice activists as standards that shouldn t be the main
priority for women of color, but it s just a cultural thing,

The Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, designed by Frank Gehry, is an art museum
belonging to the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation located in Bilbao, Basque
Country, Spain set on the edge of the NerviГіn River. It first opened its doors in
October of 1997 and features artwork by predominantly Spanish artists. It is hailed as
a spectacular representation of the Deconstructivity movement and an architectural

On October 31st, 1963, in Cleveland, Ohio, Officer Martin McFadden observed
two men standing outside a storefront acting suspiciously. He watched one of the
men walk down the street pausing to look in a store window. At the end of the
street the man turned around and proceeded to walk back, pausing at the same
store window as on his way down. Upon reaching the other man, the two mingled
and talked to each other. Officer McFadden witnessed these men do this several
times. Officer McFadden concerned the men were casing a job , then followed the
two men, and watched as they met up in front of Zucker s Store. At this point,
Officer McFadden walked up to the men, identified himself as a policeofficer, and
asked for their names. He asked the first man, Terry to turn around. He frisked him,
and, feeling a pistol frame inside Terry s overcoat, ordered the men into the store.
Terry and Chilton were charged with possession of a concealed weapon, and were
each sentenced to three years in prison. The arrest of Terry set in motion a series of
