may affect the duration of mitotic stages. We investigated the influence of
temperature on the duration of mitotic stages in the onion root tip squashes, Allium
cepa, by counting the number of cells appearing in each stage of mitosis when
exposed to conditions in room temperature and cold temperature. We found that the
average number of cells in interphase increased with the decrease in temperature, and
the rate of mitosis increased with an increase in temperature. Thus, the increased
amount of cells in interphase compared to the amount of cells in other stages at the
cold temperature could be the result of the higher activation energy required in
situations of lower temperatures, decreasing the rate of respiration and slowing the

resulting increased casualties on the battlefield, directed a new approach to the

Through the Tunnel by Doris Lessing is about an eleven year old boy named Jerry.
During vacation in France, the boy and his mother enjoy themselves daily by the
shore. The boy wants to imitate the French boys who swim through a challenging
tunnel, and he overcomes this challenge eventually. Form the safe beach to the
tunnel, Jerry s maturity is tested. The setting in Through the Tunnel has an impact on
the characters, the plot, and the symbols.
One way the setting has an impact involves the characters. For example, it is so
important for Jerry to swim through the tunnel. He wanted to be with the older
boys and be grown up. Every day on his vacation he would tell himself something

young and old, across the nation. This story has not only survived, but thrived as

The horror genre has tended to receive little critical success throughout its history.
It is one of the genres who relies on its audience to both decide how they re going
to develop future texts and mediums, as well as the subject that they will focus on.
The fact that it has been around for a long time makes the new developing genre of
comedy/horror understandable, as a way to both reflect on the generic tropes that
have become second nature, as well as provide a new viewing experience. The
demand for self reflexivity can be seen in various social media and fan outcries
whereby audiences constantly belittle or ridicule their most beloved genre. They
focus on the classic elements of the genre, and how widespread they become
throughout each movie, therefore commenting on how those films made to be scary

Hollywood creators have taken the same approach as a way of both paying homage

Middle School And High School
Middle school and high school were very different for me. Both schools lack
diversity and consisted of people just like me, but in middle school everyone s
identity were practically the same. I attended Catholic school until high school and
had all white classes until then too. Throughout middle school I was a rather
mischievous student who did not place academics too highly on my list of
priorities, so I was often making the teacher s job much harder than it needed to be.
If not for how involved my family and I were with the church and the school my in
class experience would not have been as pleasant. The only way that we ever
learned about our own identity was through religion classes and through church so
the fact that the entire school probably had less than five students of ethnicity in a
school with grade 3 8 in it was never addressed. In middle schoolalmost everyone was
middle classor at least were not struggling like some of the families in more urban
areas. If a family did begin to struggle enough financially they simply went to
another school because the cost of Catholic school was no longer a luxury that they
could afford. So the school not only consisted of people with the same race but also
eliminated people that were not from the same economic background. In high school
the majority of students were white as that is 92% of the student body and I was not
a minority in anyways but it was much different due to how extreme my middle
school experience was in

My Career Choice
My Career Choice I have decided to become a criminal lawyer because I want to
improve the world by putting criminals in jail and defending people who are being
falsely accused. I have wanted to be this for a long time, but just to be sure I have
taken several career quizzes and found that this is the career best suited for me.
This will take a lot of dedication and hard work but I feel that this will be
something I will enjoy doing for the rest of my life ( or until I retire.) My School

There is no specific undergraduate that will prepare you for being a lawyer but the
best ones to take are ones that deal with stress and problem solving such as political
science, english, economics, business, philosophy, and journalism. The college I
have chosen to attend is UNC at Chapel Hill because they have a great law program
and they are relatively near the house my family will be living in at that time. Also,
as a student you can attend the basketball games for free and I have always been a
huge fan of their team. When I go here I will have a major of political science and a
minor of business. I will choose this because political science is relevant to the
subject matter and business will be useful if I want to start my own law office. While
in college I will not live in a dorm room, but in a nearby apartment where I can have
