body fat. Poor eating habits have been linked to four of the seven leading causes of death in the
United States. It is imperative to implement healthy choices and teach our children healthy
eating habits so that we can improve the overall health of families. There are tools available to
help people to eat better and to change to a healthier lifestyle. The United States Department of
Agriculture (USDA) has published in depth informational literature on the best eating habits for
Americans called the Dietary Guidelines for Americans. Their website also provides a number
of tools to help Americans make healthy decisions and track their eating habits. Over the years I
