Another lesson I learned from reading The Crucible, is to not abuse power.
Abusing power is using power to an advantage in a bad way. Good leaders use their

Looking at Architecture
My family and I commonly go to Curtis Hixon Park and Kiley Gardens, they are
extremely family friendly and very welcoming. The specific day I went to observe
the parks was on Tuesday, July 25th around 4 pm. I sat in the parks for an hour,
analyzing the architecture and people who walked by. From the time i sat on a
bench observing I noticed many people walked by, all whom were from different
demographics. Curtis Hixon is a great family park, it has an open field and a
playground, which is equipped with modern toys that aren t typically seen in regular
playgrounds. If you walk just a step away from the playground there will be misty
fountains, and at the front of the park there are additional water fountains. In Front of
the the park there is a gorgeous view of TampaBay, where you will commonly see
the crew team from UT or private boats just roaming around. The Kiley Gardens are

This paper examines the ability to graphically display frequency distribution tables
that are represented within a school setting. There are three types of data sets that are
interpreted within two types of frequency distribution tables (see Table 1). The first
type of data set that is mentioned is a discrete nominal data set that is graphically
displayed as a bar chart (see Figure 1), which displays the reoccurrence of each
category within the simple frequency table (see Table 2). The second data type
referenced is a discrete ordinal data set that was analyzed through a simple frequency
table. The simple frequency table allows for the conversion of the ordinal data into a
pie chart (see Figure 2), which measures the percentages within a four point Likert
Scale (see Table 3). The final data source is a continuous interval set, which was
interpreted through a cumulative frequency table (see table 4). The cumulative

A migraine is a common, chronic, and debilitating neurovascular disorder. It is

will help him later in the movie. The next and probably the most substantial
challenge that the group faces is to escape with the Death Star with the layout of
the Death Star inside of R2 D2. While trying to do this they are all being shot at by
Storm Troopers, but they were still able to escape. Well almost all of them. Obi
wan Kenobi sacrificed himself to Darth Vader so the others could escape the Death
Star. This then leads to the final confrontation, with the outline of the Death Star,
Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Chewy, C3 PO, R2 D2, and Princess Leia, have to
figure out a way to attack the Death Star. Luke is in an X Wing Fighter Plane and

important because personally I feel as though it can be kind of challenging to

There are a million adults who cannot read, one in six Londoners is functionally
illiterate and people who cannot read or write are excluded from opportunities and
may eventually become alienated and turn to crime (Johnson 2010, cited by Gross
2010). Gross (2010) expresses her concern and believes it is not where the children
live, it is how they were taught to read and how they were properly motivated to
learn to read. She endorses the synthetic systematic phonics approach as opposed to
that of the whole word approach and believes we must place our focus on reading as it
is indispensable.
Phonics advocates have been arguing that in order for children to learn to read,
they need to have an explicit instruction in the rules of printed text in order to read
properly. The phonics approach has been described as bottom up as it teaches the
children to decode text and then the meaning and understanding will follow while
the whole word approach is described as top down, as the children depend on the
pictures within the book, form hypothesis and make predictions of the words with
the text of the book being read (Wren, 2003).
Gross (2010) state that children should systematically be taught to read through
phonics and not by memorising whole words ; by the late 1970 s teachers were no
longer fond of that approach as it was not working because children were still
struggling to read, it was dull and repetitive and new words were introduced at a

Scarlett Letter, I find it extremely difficult to substantiate a claim that I empathize
with any of them on any genuine level. However, for the sake of completing this
summer s reading assignment, I will resort to writing about the only person who
displays typical human behavior in a way to which I can somewhat relate Roger
Chillingworth. Though cynical, egocentric, and (dare I say) satanic, Roger
Chillingworth goes about his business in such a realistic way (as compared to the
rest of the fictional characters) that he instills in the reader a sense of understanding
of his motives. Unlike the other characters, I am fully able to empathize with the
frustration and distressful emotions that overcame Chillingworth. It is logical to
assume that hatred and vengefulness would blossom in a man if, upon arrival to a
new world, he learned that his wife was in the midst of an affair. In Chillingworth,
we see one of Nathaniel Hawthorne s characters react for the first time, and perhaps
the only time, in an authentic fashion. At first, Chillingworth attempts to distance
himself from the idea of revenge when he claims that he shall [not] interfere with
Heaven s own method of retribution (69). This claim, however, does not last long,
and soon he succumbs to his sinful desire to burrow into the clergyman s intimacy,

A horror story should have some elements to grab the attention of audience such as
suspense and mystery. However, it is a challenge to achieve this goal especially in a
short story, but that did not seem to be an obstacle for Stephen King, who is famous
for writing horror fiction stories. Jeffrey W. Hunter, who is editor of Contemporary
Literacy Criticism, believes that Stephen King is a marketing phenomenon for the
large number of books he has sold. One of his first works was Strawberry Spring,
which was published along with other short stories in a book titled Night Shift in
1978. In the same manner as other Stephen King s writings, Strawberry Spring is a
story loaded of mystery where death is one of the main components. The story
begins with a narrator s memory about what happened eight years ago when he was
in college in 1968. The narrator remembers how a serial killer who was called
Springheel Jack came into action during strawberry spring which is a natural
