Essay On Myself In English
Writing an essay on the topic "Essay On Myself In English" might initially seem like a
straightforward task, as it revolves around one's personal experiences and self-reflection.
However, delving into the intricacies of self-description can be surprisingly challenging. The
difficulty lies in striking the right balance between humility and self-confidence, ensuring that
the narrative is engaging yet authentic.
Crafting an essay about oneself requires a deep dive into personal history, aspirations,
achievements, and even failures. The challenge is to present a coherent and compelling story that
captures the essence of who you are without sounding boastful or self-deprecating. It demands
self-awareness and the ability to express thoughts and emotions effectively.
Moreover, finding a unique angle or perspective that sets the essay apart from others can be
daunting. Everyone has a different life story, but conveying that distinctiveness in a way that
captivates the reader is a true art. It involves careful consideration of language, tone, and
structure to create a narrative that is not only informative but also engaging and relatable.
Additionally, the pressure to create an essay that leaves a lasting impression can add to the
difficulty. Striking the right chord with the audience, be it a teacher or an admissions officer,
requires a delicate balance between personal expression and adherence to academic standards.
In conclusion, writing an essay on oneself in English may seem deceptively simple, but it poses a
unique set of challenges. The writer must navigate the fine line between self-promotion and
authenticity, while also ensuring the essay is both compelling and memorable.

Without Rosa Parks we would have most likely been having assign seats for white

After the boycott Rosa Parks continuously got harassed and got death threats as
stated in the story Facing continued harassment and threats in the wake of the

Career Ed Project
Through my Career Ed project I learned how to live a sustainable life with a typical
paycheck I would receive. I chose the job of a psychiatrist based on my interests
and ambitions. My whole life I have studied human behavior and analyzed why
people act a certain way. I also like to help others and I want to give people the best
lives that they can live. Being a psychiatrist would make me happy because I could
learn more about human minds and the way they work by also helping people who
are mentally and emotionally suffering. I had to make hard decisions on which car
and house to buy. Firstly, I chose to buy a large family home which cost $199,900
because I thought it was a reasonable price for a home with four bedrooms and two
bathrooms. The house also has a warm and happy exterior which is very important to
me. I know that if I have a family someday they would enjoy living in our house too.
The car I bought was a New 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan SE. I bought this car
because not only because it was a nice price of $21,879, but because it s a big and

After tax, food, and necessities, I still had thousands of dollars that I could put
towards my family and entertainment. My job is perfect for me and i make lots of
money while doing what I love most (helping people I think this is obvious by
now). I know as a student I would have to work as hard as I possibly can to become a
psychiatrist, because I would need to go through many extra years of school. I
also will need to focus more on science because it will be essential for me to
become a psychiatrist. If I were to mess around during high school and not focus on
my future then I would most likely never be able to be a psychiatrist. To reach my
goal I need to be more confident and work my absolute hardest, because I m very
ambitious about what I want and I will do anything to achieve my goal of being a
psychiatrist (hopefully with a nice salary
Entering The Class, English Comp
Entering the class, english comp. one, I had many fears as to what the class would
be like. I had no idea what to expect as a senior in highschool. During the past
english classes I had, we wrote papers, just not a different one every day. Going
into english comp. one, I figured it would be the same method in english just like
the past classes I had. On the very first day in the class, I quickly found out that I
would have to buckle down a little more than I have been in the past. I knew then,
from what Mrs. Garth had told us, that I was going to have many weaknesses while
writingmy papers, but I would also have many strengths from what I had learned in
the past about writing. In August, our first day in the college class, Mrs. Garth
talked with the class about what this semester was going to be like. She spoke to us
as college students and not little children. She told us that Comp. was all about
writing. As a class, we knew there would be more writing than we were use to, but
the very first paperthat Mrs. Garth told us to write was unlike any other paper I had
ever wrote on my own. We were told to write about our favorite foods, our not so
favorite foods, or a tragedy that has happened to us in our life. Of course, I wrote
about the tragedy, my paper was written on the note of my grandmother passing
away. I used very descriptive details in my writing about what the days were like for
me and how I felt after she was gone. While writing the paper, I thought to myself
Jason Witten Reaction Paper
It was the summer of 2012 when Jason Witten, one of the most distinguished tight
ends to ever play the game suffered a lacerated spleen when former Raider and now
teammate linebacker Rolando McClain unloaded on Witten during the Cowboys
first preseason game. Witten would miss the rest of summer action and was
doubtful to return for the Cowboys season opener against the rival Giants, but the
consummate professional overcame all odds and didn t miss any games. Witten
would go on to turn a stagnant start into an NFL record setting season for most
receptions (110) by a tight end eclipsing the great Tony Gonzalez record of 102
receptions he set in 2004.

Hayden Symphony 94 Analysis
The piece that I have decide to use is the Hayden Symphony 94. I will be using all
four movements to identify which criteria has been met by this piece. The Haydn
Symphony 94 follows a form that works for it with each of the four movements have
an expressive section then a rhythmic section. Also, during the second movement
which is a theme and variation he repeated both themes but the second time he
would use a drastic dynamic change. (Criterion #1) Within movement 2 Haydn uses
dynamic contrast frequently. The first 15 measures of the piece are a succession of
soft melodies then in the 16th measure Haydn places a loud note to grab the attention
of the audience then he returns to his quiets melodies. Haydn also wrote solos for the
oboist and flautist, and concluding with a sweeping and lyrical forte repeat in triplets
(Symphonyno.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
(Criterion #2) Movement 2 shows that Haydn use the different instruments families to
add different colors to each section of the piece. He starts this movement with the
strings having the main theme then adding the woodwinds to the main theme and to
the accompanying parts. At certain parts of the movement he has all instruments
playing some form of the main theme. We can also here that the main theme has
moved from the high voices to the low voices throughout the movement. By the end
of the movement the we have the woodwinds completely taking over the melody
while the stings are playing the accompanying parts. (Criterion #3) Within the second
movement of the symphony there is this one loud note or chord among a group of
soft chords. Once the audience has heard this once or twice they come to predict the
note because the previous nots grabbed our attention. (Criterion #4) The expressive
introduction section of movement 1 is followed by the very rhythmic section. This
shows that the music is not obvious and direct but it does set up the following
movements form wise. (Criterion
Visiting A Jewish Day Service
On Visit number two I attended a Jewish morning service in a Temple. I went
along with Brady and we went to the Temple Beth Israel. We walked in and sat
down in the booths. The service was led by Rabbi Bruce Benson. A Rabbi, I
learned, is a Jewish scholar or teacher appointed by other Jewish leaders. We had
come on what they called Shabbat Morning, it was a special service because it was
to celebrate a young girl named Elexis Goldberg on her Bat Mitzvah. A Bat Mitzvah
is a Jewish tradition that celebrates a young man or women coming of age.
The Jews started with a greeting Shabbat Shalom which means peace and a way of
saying hello and goodbye. I guess it s about saying come or go with peace. The
Rabbi said that this was a time to separate themselves from the rest of the world, it is
a time to reflect.
Next the Rabbi, continued with a story time. He talked about a time where a young
Jew could only go to school if he had a pen and ink, so then the Jews got together
and donated money so young Jewish children could buy the materials and have the
opportunity to go to school. So. It s great that they have so many opportunities
especially now young Jewish women like Elexis.
Following the story, the first task was for Elexis to wrap herself in a type of robe.
Then she sang a song in Hebrew. She then proceeded to read from the Torah, (a Torah
is the old testament, it is a written law that has five books of the Hebrew Bible. These
books were given by God to Moses on Mount
The Fedex Corporation Is The Premier Provider Of
Shipping...
Today FedEx Corporation is the premier provider of shipping and information
services worldwide. Headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee, the company functions
under the motto operate independently, compete collectively and manage
collaboratively. (FedEx.com, 2011)
By operating independently, each company can focus exclusively on delivering the
best service for its specific market. In 1965, Yale University undergraduate Frederick
W. Smith wrote a term paper about the passenger route systems used by most
airfreight shippers, which he viewed as economically inadequate. (FedEx.com, 2011)
Smith wrote of the need for shippers to have a system designed specifically for
airfreight that could accommodate time sensitive shipments such as medicines,
computer parts and electronics. In August of 1971 following a stint in the military,
Smith bought controlling interest in Arkansas Aviation Sales, located in Little Rock,
Arkansas. Smith identified the tremendous difficulty in getting packages and other
airfreight delivered within one to two days. This dilemma motivated him to do the
necessary research for resolving the inefficient distribution system. Thus, the idea for
Federal Express was born: a company that revolutionized global business practices
and now defines speed and reliability. Federal Express was so named due to the
patriotic meaning associated with the word Federal, which suggested an interest in
nationwide economic activity. (FedEx.com, 2011) The company incorporated in June

Some Tools and Equipment needed in the HVAC Industry and Troubleshooting It
is important when working in the HVAC field that you have the proper tools to get

tools in order to construct, troubleshoot, and repair anything necessary to his job.
When working in the field the HVAC technician must work with electricity.
Usually to fix equipment that has already been wired and needs to be either fixed

Screwdrivers are preferably equipped with insulated handles for working on various
electrical jobs. As for wrenches there are three types of wrenches used in the Air
Conditioning field; the adjustable open end wrench, pipe wrenches which are
commonly used for conduit work, and a monkey wrench which are used on
hexagonal and square fittings. Electric Meters are extremely important to the
technician for troubleshooting electric related problems. There are several different
types of meters needed in order to work on an Air Condition unit. Three most
important meters are the Voltmeter, the Ammeter, and the Ohmmeter. Luckily for us
we can find all three of these features on just one electric meter. A Voltmeter you will

opportunity to appreciate and value others views, values, and beliefs. Other parts of
my culture include that I am an only child and I was brought up in a middle class
family that was not religious. Describe your assessment results in the areas of
multicultural awareness, multicultural knowledge, and multicultural skills.

Counselors must gain awareness, knowledge, and skills in counseling diverse
groups of clients (Corey, Corey, Corey, 2014). Some ways to become culturally
competent include, but are not limited to, respecting religious and spiritual beliefs
as well as family roles; understanding the impact of adverse social and
environmental factors when assessing problems and providing interventions; and
providing group members with the expectations of the group process (Corey,
Corey, Corey, 2014). In order to create a respectful, productive, and beneficial group
some ways to become a more culturally competent counselor include continuing to
self reflect on my own cultural identity, values, beliefs, and biases; read about,
practice and implement group interventions that have been shown to be effective
with different cultural groups; gain supervision when needed; and avoid imposing
my own personal worldview onto the group members (Corey, Corey, Corey, 2014).
By doing these things as well as seeking out opportunities to learn more about the
various cultures that I will be working with can help to expand my knowledge of
diverse groups, continue to expand my personal self awareness, and improve my
skills towards becoming a more culturally competent

to help you win more and do better in the game of Madden. In this intro we will be
going over some of the important things to keep in mind when blitzing your
opponent and playing defense in general. First, we must understand that the whole
goal of blitzing is to produce pressure on the QB so that you either get a sack, force
a bad throw, or take receiving options out by forcing the offense to add blockers. It is
important to recognize that when you are blitzing you could potential risk coverage,
but blitzing effectively, can fluster your opponent s offense, making them make bad...

When you are usering a linebacker (I prefer usering a linebacker over usering the
safety), you will need a fast and agile linebacker. Some good ones are Anthony Barr
and Ryan Shazier. The first thing you are going to have to do is to read your
defense as if you were the QB. I like to play under routes over the middle, as they
are what most people like to look for when passing the ball. I look for ins, slants,
posts, seam routes, drags, etc. You ll get a feel for how the routes break and how
you should break on them. By playing more and more you are going to start
picking up and learning formations and plays that people like to run. For example,
if a guy comes out in Gun Trips (Four Verticals) (3WR, 1TE, 1 RB) and you see 3
WR running streaks and the running back going on a route that crosses across the
field, you can most likely expect your opponent to look deep slant route across the
middle of the field. This play is a great example of why it is so important to user
when playing Defense due to the play being so very commonly used and being very
effective when ran against the CPU

The External World Skeptic Argument
Skepticism argues that we do not know things about the external world. The External
World Skeptic argument holds that we cannot, in principle, know things about the
external world. Skeptical arguments aim to disprove the Standard Account of
Knowledge, which claims that we do in fact know things about the external world.
We come to know things through observation and experience, testimony, memory,
introspection, and reasoning (Epistemology Lecture Notes). Skeptics claim that all
of evidence we have for our knowledge are consistent with alternative hypotheses.
The Traditional Account of Knowledge requires a justified, true belief for
knowledge. Knowledge requires truth because we can only know things that are
true. The factivity of knowledge means that everything we know must be true.
Knowledge also calls for belief because you cannot know something you do not
accept as true. Finally, knowledge must be justifiable because you need a basis, or
evidence, for your true belief to count as knowledge. Skepticism objects the way we
come to know things and our knowledge of things by claiming that we do not actually
know things about the external world and that our evidence is consistent with
alternative skeptical hypotheses.
A skeptical hypothesis aims to show that the world is different externally from how
you view it internally. There are many different of skeptical hypotheses, such as the
Brain in the Vat Argument, the Cartesian Demon Hypothesis, the Evil Genius Theory
,
and so on.
Singing In The Rain Analysis
The film Singing in the Rain was produced in 1952 but still takes the world with
storm. The musical film, which was directed by Gene Kelly and Donen Stanley stars
Donald O Connor, Gene Kelley, Jean Hagen, and Debbie Reynolds has a lot for the
audiences to desire and learn from. The film presents a skillful use of setting, music,
makeup, costumes and standard photography (Cannon 2). The piece combines many
effects together to catch the attention of the audiences. In fact, the viewers enjoy both
the musical part and the visual element separately, something that makes it a well
thought piece. In other words, it is both a romantic piece, though a smog as well.
Being a musical film, Singing in the Rain represents a classical music, making it an
Persuasive Essay On Blue Whales
What would the ocean be like without whales? One thing that is never thought about
when whales are being hunted is how important they are. For humans to understand
the purpose of the whale and just going off the information one has learned may be
different. Understanding the whale may be more complex than thought out to be.
There is more to know about whales other than they can be big intimidating creatures.
It is important to make sure whales are being protected. When an individual enters in
a different environment they do not think about the potential danger that could be
caused. Because whales are important to the food chain and also the marine life
ecosystem, individuals should consider saving the whales. Whales are sentinels of the

Whales, such as killer whales, are unfairly stereotyped as dangerous or terrifying
animals. From 1999 2010 marine mammals accounted for fifteen deaths, two of the
deaths were by a single killer whale in captivity where conditions are not the greatest
for whales (Rose). Although there is information on marine mammal related deaths
there is no specific data on whale related deaths, meaning that the deaths could have
come from another species. Whales play an important role in the flow of aquatic
ecosystems. Blue Whales consume about forty trillion krill per day on average. By
consuming that krill they are doing their part of stabilizing the oceanic ecosystem.
Scientists are also learning more about whales and getting better understandings of
their species, the cetacean. By performing biological studies and many observations
scientists are able to learn about whale communication, intelligence, as well as
environmental impacts. When scientists better understand whales they can find even
more reasons as to protect whales and the importance of them from an environmental
standpoint. Whales should be understood more and treated more fairly than they have
been, they are an important part of the marine

going to be a positive. Another positive is confidence building. The seminar in The
Office episode was not the best example of a women s seminar but they can be very
helpful to women. Women are allowed to speak their minds freely and express their

Global Marketing
CHAPTER 1
INTRODUCTION TO GLOBAL MARKETING
SUMMARY
A company that engages in global marketing focuses resources on global market
opportunities and threats. Successful global marketers such as Nestle, Coca Cola, and
Honda use familiar marketing mix elements the four Ps to create global marketing
programs.
Marketing, R D, manufacturing, and other activities comprise a firm s value chain;
firms configure activities to create superior customer value on a global basis.
Global companies also maintain strategic focus while pursuing competitive
advantage. The marketing mix, value chain, competitive advantage, and focus are
universal in their applicability, irrespective of whether a company does business only

Value to the customer can be increased in two ways 1. an improved bundle of
benefits or 2. a lower price.
1. Marketers may improve the product, design new channels of distribution,
communicate better or a combination of all three. 2. Marketers may seek ways to cut
costs or lower the price. Nonmonetary costs may be lowered by decreasing the time
and effort customers must expend to learn about or acquire a product.
If a company is able to offer a combination of superior product, distribution, and
promotion of the benefits AND offer lower prices than its competition, it should
enjoy an advantageous position.
Discussion Question #1: What are the basic goals of marketing? Are these goals
relevant to global marketing?
Competitive Advantage, Globalization, and Global Industries
Competitive Advantage occurs when a company succeeds in creating more value for
customers than its competitors. Competitive advantage is measured relative to rivals
with whom you compete in the industry whether that is on a local, national, or global
level.
Global marketing is essential if a company competes in a global industry or one that
is globalizing.

The Beslan Terrorist Attack
The morning of September 1, 2004, a terrorist group encompassed children, parents,
and faculty on the first day of the new school year at School Number One in Beslan,
a Russian town in the republic of North Ossetia, and took them captive. This was just
the beginning of the three horrific days that were experienced by more than one
thousand people held hostage. Chechen separatists stormed the school on Wednesday
morning. The standoff lasted until Friday when Russian Special Forces took back
the school following a firefight. After the three days of psychological and physical
torture, the total carnage left 331 people dead and over 700 people injured. This
terrorist attack had left Russia in shambles with the same devastating impact that the

In term of political preferences, what might happened is that DEUTSCHE

Mohammed Reza Shah Pahlavi Pros And Cons
The Pahlavi dynasty in Iran lasted from 1925 1979. In 1925 Reza Shah Pahlavi was
appointed and reined until 1941 when his son Mohammed Reza Shah Pahlavi
succeeded him after the Anglo Soviet invasion of Iran. Mohammed Reza Shah
Pahlavi was considered pro Western, who worked closely with many U.S. Presidential
administrations. In 1951 the European educated Mohammed Mosadegh, Prime
Minister of Iranwanted to nationalize Iran s oil industry. This political, economic and
ideological conflict resulted in Mohammed Reza ShahPahlavi being forced into exile
for a short period of time. Mosadegh s policies would have adversely affected the
British and American governments who had previously been in control of Iran s oil.

Plato s Teachings Of Philosophy
Plato was a well known philosopher who lived during the time of the distinguished
Greek philosophers. He was born into a wealthy and very noble family in the
Athens. In the midst of preparation for his life long career as a politician, the young
Plato witnessed the trial and eventual execution of Socrates. Little did he or anyone
know this would ultimately lead him to completely abandon his political career and
become one of the world s most distinguished philosophers. Although Platos
teachings are not universally agreed upon, virtually anyone can agree that that he was
a brilliant thinker and spurred many thoughts and beliefs that are carried into today s
teachings of philosophy. While the precise relationship of Plato and Socrates
remains a heated disagreement among scholars, Plato states that he was, in fact, a
devoted follower of Socrates. Plato was highly influenced by Socrates teachings and
highly disturbed by his execution, eventually leading him to establish an extremely
powerful body of intellectual work. Plato is known to be a great writer as well as
teacher. Some of Plato s most famous teachings and writings had to do with his
powerful argument that was in favor of the objectivity of values. He taught that
objective values are those that exist outside the individual and are otherwise
dependent upon their individual perception or personal belief. This can include truth,
beauty, as well as good. Some other distinguished philosophers have come up with
Financial Aid Advantages And Disadvantages
According to a survey on CollegeBoard.org comparing data from 1987 to present
day, room and board and tuition fees have increased significantly from $1,590
$15,160 in 1987 all the way up to $3,570 $34,740 in 2017. While the price of
education is increasing, financial aid is a valuable tool to help students afford the
rising cost. With a plethora of options available, it can be overwhelming to learn
about each one as well as their own drawbacks. Luckily, this guide is here to
completely inform about financial aid, and as daunting as it seems, it boils down
to three categories: scholarships, grants, and loans. That said, before this paper
delves into the three main topics, it s crucial to learn about eligibility first. To
know what makes a person eligible depends on their expected family contribution.
When filling out the completely optional FAFSA form, it will ask for information
about finances both for the student and the parents. It uses the data given to
calculate how much aid the student will receive. If the parents make a lot of
money, then the school s financial aid staff may determine that little to no aid is
needed even if the family is struggling. Expected family contribution is calculated
according to a formula established by law. Taxed and untaxed income, assets, and
benefits of the family are all considered in the formula. Also considered is the family
size and the number of family members who are currently attending or will attend
college during the year.
Manipulation In The Dark Knight
While the prior two texts focus of the social and political aspects of manipulation, a
different more sinister theme of manipulation is expressed in The Dark Knight .
Manipulation in this film feeds off another theme of human nature. This type of
manipulation is somewhat more relevant in our day today because as a human we
go through highs and lows which leave us vulnerable. During the film Harvey Dent
s fiance is brutally killed in the plot which left him with only half a face. The series
of events which Dent struggled through left him vulnerable, just the right moment for
The Joker to influence him. A mid shot shows Harvey Dent s whole expression, at
the beginning of the hospital scene we can physically see Harvey is enraged at the

Gay And Gay Rights
Gay Rights Gays should be allowed to have the same rights as everyone else. They
used to not be allowed to adopt children in some states. They get abused verbally,
mentally, and physically by their family and friends. There are some people who
disagree with the thought of gays getting married. They can t get jobs because of
their sexual orientation. Some people accept the fact that they want to love who they
want to love. What s important is that gays are mistreated wherever they go. Gays
should be allowed to have the same rights as everyone else. Homosexual people do
not want to have special privileges. They just want to have the same rights as
heterosexuals, nothing more and nothing less. Homosexuals are a growing minority

That is the saddest thing to me because I would hate, absolutely hate it if someone
called me dirty names like the ones they get called. For example, they get called
queer, homo, fag, gay, and many more cruel names. The people do not want gays to
get married. Homosexual couples will love each other no matter what happens,
whether they get married or not, so trying to stop them from what they want the
most, is definitely not going to make them go away. They will be more outspoken
because they want to feel like they are in the United States. People will argue that
they shouldn t get married because marriage is a religious ceremony and should be
only for straight people. For example, according to the constitution, marriage doesn t
have to be between a male and a female. I think that people just underestimate
homosexuals all the time and that they don t think about their actions and what they
are saying. Homosexuals have just as much privacy as any other person.
Homosexuals can not get jobs because of their sexual orientation. Discrimination
against lesbians, gays, bisexuals, and transsexuals is widespread throughout America.
They have always been targets for discrimination. This discrimination is based on a
hostile attitude toward a specific group, in this case, is the minority. Because of this,
many of them go to work in fear of rejection or causing them

Dashwood Vs Elinor
In the novel, Sense and Sensibility, by Jane Austen and the article, Impulse and Virtue
in Jane Austen: Sense and Sensibility in Two Centuries, by Edward Joseph Shoben
Jr. the contrasting roles of sisters in the nineteenth century are demonstrated as they
face their roles in society. The sisters, Elinor and Marianne Dashwood, differ in many
ways, especially in the way they feel and are effected by their respective emotions
and in their response to societal norms. Elinor demonstrates sense through her
adherence of societal norms whereas Marianne exemplifies sensibility , expressing
her emotions to their fullest extent.
A major way in which Elinor and Marianne Dashwood s personalities differ is in the
way they deal with emotion. Every aspect ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For Marianne, morality is an inherent quality of selfhood rather than a process of
judgement based on social rules. Confronted by a world in which pettiness and
egotism appear virtually universally, she rebels by setting the authenticity of her
own impulses above the authority of society (Shoben 532). Marianne celebrates
her admiration and love for Willoughby; she gives him a lock of her hair without
being engaged to him which was unheard of during these times. She also
recognizes their relationship, against the norms of society, when she arrives in
London. Marianne writes Willoughby several letters in the hopes of seeing him
once again. Her extremely public relationship with the mysterious Willoughby
caused others to doubt sometimes ... of their being really engaged, and this doubt
was enough to prevent her [Elinor] making any inquiry of Marianne (Austen 66).
The odd context of the relationship frequently causes Marianne s mother and sister
to worry for her candidness. The two hope and expect an engagement to be
announced several times during the beginning of the novel. Marianne also
demonstrates her rebellion against social norms in regard to Colonel Brandon.
Rather than being charmed by the idea of the eligible bachelor having feelings for
her, she is disgraced. She shares with her family her belief that the Colonel is too old

The Pros And Cons Of Kyoto Protocol
Global warming influences every country in the world adversely. In order to relieve
this issue, in 1997, United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change
(UNFCC) formulated and enacted Kyoto Protocol in Japan. At the beginning, more
than 150 countries joined the conference. After that, other countries ratified Kyoto
Protocolin succession. Until now, there are about 192 countries have already ratified
the protocol. The United States, however, chose to drop out in 2001 after becoming
one of the participants for four years. (Cable News Network Library, 2017)
Drawbacks of Kyoto Protocol and negative impacts on the economy are two main
reasons why the United States dropped out.
Kyoto Protocol is an agreement that forces all the signatory countries to make great
efforts to relieve global warming. It is widely accepted that greenhouse gases are
able to heat earth since they can prevent heat from escaping from the atmosphere, a
reasonable amount of greenhouse gases is needed to keep the earth warm at a
constant and comfortable level, but the overabundance of those gases can influence
earth adversely and thus increase the temperature beyond desirable level. Kyoto
Protocol is aimed at solving this kind of problem. Therefore, we can say that Kyoto
Protocol is an international treaty among industrialized nations that sets mandatory
limits on greenhouse gas emissions. (Rouse, M., 2013) The countries who ratified the
protocol will be a member of the United Nations Framework

It was amid a midyear break when the inverter at my place required an overhauling

a track of its past records that demonstrated the third due administration. After a great
deal of bothers and protests the issue was settled. Notwithstanding, this occurrence
made me end with that organization and joining another. A large number of
companies are unable to keep up the track of their administrations which causes them
a big time loss.
Each business plans to build its deal breaking its past records. Furthermore, the best
way to do it is to draw in new clients as well as to keep up them after deals. An
organization that prioritizes its customers will always be referred. The primary
purpose behind the decrease of offers in an organization is its absence of duty to give
appropriate administrations to its clients. An enlisted grumbling is here and there
which is sometimes not attended by the organization which prompts expanded
grievances among the shoppers prompting decrease in the sales. Sometimes the
organization is not ready to keep up the record of the administrations of a client which
prompts a more prominent perplexity in the association. Another issue related to less
customer satisfaction is the inability to solve the problem on time.
One solution to this problem is to
Discrimination Against Female And Male Employees
The present global scenario has come a long way when it comes to discrimination
against women. Employers who discriminate against female or male employees
because of their sex are held to be in violation of The Equal Employment
Opportunity Commission Title VII (Twomey Jennings, 2014). Gone are the times
when the men were stereotyped to be the bread winners while women were expected
to remain at home to cook and clean. Discriminationhad always preferred the able
bodied superior. Women today work alongside the superior sex but sadly, still face
discrimination in the workplace when it comes to opportunities and higher
responsibilities. The female worker is still not provided with the same promotion
as opposed to men. They experience fewer opportunities for promotion and
positions of authority. Additionally, women who are illiterate have a lesser chance
to get jobs doing labor work. Yet, every company desires workers who are fast
working and hence, the company hires people who are young and energetic. This is
why old people and women get singled out for competitive job positions. Women are
often not treated equally for positions despite being more qualified than their male
counterparts primarily because the employers are apprehensive of their commitment
towards the job. They believe women cannot be as committed because they are more
tied to their families and might miss out on their job roles due to pregnancies or other
family obligations. Genderinequalities have plagued

their exiting strategies.
3. How would you hedge risks on July 26 using a short selling strategy? What
problems arise with the short sale strategy? The return of PSC fund is calculated
as PSC return = alpha + beta x Market return Using a short selling strategy means
that we would: 1) Short selling a certain amount index fund, for the case is the
QQQ, an ETF which tracks on NASDAQ. 2) Eliminate the beta risk and the PSC
return will always be the positive alpha.
Based on the formula, the short selling hedge is that for example, if the market
now change by 10%, the portfolio changes by 10% multiple by beta. For example
(see below Table 1) if today PSC want to hedge out its 100 value of stock portfolio,
eliminating market risk from the long portfolio leaves the portfolio with a guaranteed
3.35% return which is precisely the alpha of the long positions in the portfolio.

The Odyssesy by Homer
Epic heroes are usually great leaders and accomplish great deeds and undertake
journeys or quests that usually take place in a wide setting such as the world. The
epic hero is a larger than life person who embodies the highest ideals of his culture
and time period. Also, this type of heroes experience human emotions, yet is able to
master and control these human traits to a greater degree than a typical human. All of
these standard traits were set by Odysseus, the epic hero from the Odyssey, written by
Homer. Odysseus embodies the characteristics of the Greeks at the time such as
Curiosity, sharp intellect, cunningness all throughout the Odyssey to set the standard
for epic heroes for future generations to come.
Out of all of Odysseus traits, his cunningness and ability to be an articulate speaker
is one of the more prominent traits that shines throughout his journey. Through the
odysseys many bumps and battles Odysseus demonstrates his cunningness and
quick thinking at every page. When Odysseus says, My name is Nohbody: mother,
father, friends, everyone calls me Nohbody (Homer 9.360 361). Odysseus shows his
deceptiveness by naming himself Nohbody in future plans of escaping from
Polyphemus. In this situation, Odysseus cunningness helps him to escape and get
back on track to his journey back to Ithaca. The following demonstrates another
example Odysseus persuasiveness: My quiet Penelope how well I know would seem

Ambition And Responsibility Of Tree-Ear In A Single Shard
At the beginning of A Single Shard, Tree ear was a young orphan raised by a wise
elder named Crane man. The foundling had an immense ambition; he was entirely
passionate about pottery for practically all of his life. During the beginning chapters,
the novel reveals Tree ear struggled with judgement and responsibility.
As stated in Chapter one, Tree ear struggled to decide whether to alert the farmer
about his frayed rice sack or keep the descended rice to himself. Additionally, he
chose to tell the farmer about the fallen rice, indicating his selflessness. Tree ear also
had a sense of curiosity towards the beginning of the novel. In Chapter five, Tree ear
began to spy on Kang, a highly experienced potter, at the kiln. Interested in his work,
Tree ear watched Kang at the kiln day after day. Moreover, his inquisitiveness

Tree ear traveled to the river to search for remnants of the plummeted vase.
Furthermore, he only found fragments of the vases in the sand. Courageously, he
selected one single shard, the size of his palm, and voyaged to the royal emissary.

Dialectical Or Non-Aristotelian Theatre Analysis
Theatre is a vast and culturally expansive art form that has continued to be relevant
for millennia, and its longevity is discussed in philosophical, theoretical, and
sociological circles everywhere. Though it can take many different forms, the
contemporary notion of a theatrical performance holds only two requirements; there
needs to be actors playing out a scenario, and there needs to be an audience that can
watch this event unfold. Theatreis an ephemeral art form, as its very nature requires
that something happen at a given time, in a given place, and around people who can
see it. The relationship between the actorand the spectator has evolved throughout the
course of theatre history; however, there have been stretches of time in which... Show

In his Epic, Dialectical, or Non Aristotelian Theatre, Brecht does not transform the
spatial relationship between actor and spectator, but he does attempt to transform the
effect his theatre has on its audience. Writing in 1968, W. A. J. Steer describes the
role Verfremdungseffekt in Brecht s theatre before he states,
Brecht also attributes a negative, destructive function to the alienation effect that of
thwarting the illusionism of the stage, of inhibiting the audience s traditional
propensity to EinfГјhlung or emotional identification with the dramatic characters
and situation (639).
In other words, Brechtian techniques attempt to dissuade the audience from having an
emotional connection to the action that happens on the stage. Instead, they force the
audience to think critically about the sociological implications of the events that are
happening, through making them aware of the fact that they are only experiencing a
simulation of reality. Writing in 1952, John Gassner reinforces this point when he
states, ...he broke with representational fourth wall theatre, with purely affective
drama, and with the means, including unity of mood, by which playwriting and stage
art draw the spectator into a closed magical circle of experience and induce a hypnosis
Essay On Balibar
Balibar questions the concept of neo racism insofar as there remains the possibility
that the event of naming a neo racism is a tactical adaptation or strategy to artfully
disguise hegemonic (Balibar, 20) maneuvers that have always been present. The neo
racism hypothesis (Balibar, 17) is an iteration of strategies of the dominant that
rationalize the cultivation of politics, discourses, and logics that exclude and relegate
othered bodies to conditions in which they are dispossessed, captured, and
subjugated. These strategies may arise out of what may possibly be natural anxieties
about insurmountable cultural difference (Balibar, 22) and the fear of the
disappearance of tradition and culture with the introduction of the other. However,
Balibar points to the way in which these anxieties are used to justify the
natural(ization)... of racist conduct (Balibar, 22); they use P. A. Taguieff s term,
differentialist racism (Balibar, 21), to describe this justification.
Balibar proposes that this presently ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Biblical Allusions In The Grapes Of Wrath
The novel, The Grapes of Wrath, is a story that describes the journey of the Joad
family through the brutal migration from Oklahoma s destroying Dust Bowl to
California corrupt promised land. Through the depiction of events and portrayal of
characters, the bible takes part in the novel as one whole allusion. The story of
struggle for survival in the fallen state of Oklahoma and in the promised land of
California, reveals the same ideas shown as we explore in the bible. In The Grapes of
Wrath, author John Steinbeck integrates the allegory of biblical references and
values to create the image of a family s journey to California during the Dust Bowl
of the early 1900s.
Initially, we see the use of biblical allegories through the metaphor ... Show more

At the river, the Joads are given new names, and become the Okies, and the reality of
becoming migrant laborers in California draws nearer to them. Similar to the Israelites
who had to cross the Red Sea, the Joads are expecting hope and a brand new life on
the other side of the river. However, like the people fleeing Egypt, the Joads are
made to wait for their reward in California and encounter many difficulties and
hardships, such as flooding, just like the Hebrews in the Exodus.
As we look at the characters within the story, they exemplify and convey the souls
present in the bible. Jim Casy forms an obvious parallel with Jesus Christ, as a
preacher who proves his dissatisfaction and unrest in his view of the establishment,
and has abandoned his preaching style of his earlier life. Just as Jesus changed
from the teaching of the Old Testament to promote greater self discipline and a
New Harmony. Tom Joad follows Casy initially, learning from him, until he is

symbol of his disciple. Just like Christ followers carried on and shared the messages
to form the idea that Jesus is still alive even after he died, Tom continued to teach
the preachings of Casy once he dies a martyr s death.Casy is also a prophet and
Christ like figure and we see this when he says: You don t know what you re a

There are times when it seems that Helga is unknowingly saying these thoughts out
loud, which only serves to add to her idiosyncrasies.
The relationships formed on their journey, however unconvincing or bizarre some
may seem, shape the novels and define the impressions on the reader. The Bell Jar
is an unsettling account of a young woman s descent into psychosis, where Plath
focuses on the individual, whilst exploring how Esther regards relationships and
how they influence her search for her own identity. In a similar fashion, Helga Crane
is on a continuous search for a genuine sense of self, a place she feels that she
belongs. Although perhaps to a lesser extent than Plath, Larsen uses the superficial
nature of Helga s relationships with others as a way of expressing her distance from
the rest of society. There are several fundamental similarities between the two
characters that are interesting to note: they both feel isolated and misunderstood, they
both wish to reject the prejudices of society (whether it be towards women, African

The And The Glass Menagerie
Mothers are typically seen as kind, loving, and nurturing, at least in a perfect
world, that s how they are. Rather, in the real world many of us wish that is how all
mothers are. Various situations can lead to a woman to be too mothering. It is a
factor that transcends real life. This conflict causing dynamic is very prevalent in
numerous stories, films, and plays. Two plays where it is shown in significance are
Machinal and The Glass Menagerie. In both cases, the actions taken by the mother
roles in the shows, resulted in some of the character s roles ending in unfortunate
events of some sort. Sophie Treadwell s Machinal was loosely based and inspired
by the murder trial of Ruth Snyder and Judd Gray, her lover. Together they conspired
and murdered Snyder s husband. Convicted of these crimes, Snyder was sentenced to
death and executed by the electric chair. The title of the play as it implies, is French
for automatic or mechanical . A womans role in society during this period of time
was confined and regulated primarily to that of a wifeand more often than not, a
mother, homemaker, and sexual partner. Love was not considered necessary, and as
a result, numerous women were trapped in a dependent status upon men during the
1920 s whether intended or not, living a life of a loveless marriage, and a trapped
existence in a male dominated, oppressive wasteland. These norms are what the
mother in the play expected her daughter to live by.The young woman s
William Faulkner s The Bear
After the Civil War, the American Southerners had a strong trauma that could not be
forgotten. Considering that William Faulkner was also one of these Southerners,
approaching to his texts through a psychoanalytic lens would be a meaningful
work. In fact, Faulkner is one of the rare writers who faced Southern racial taboo :
the miscegenation. In addition, a Southern Renaissance that what Faulkner does
with the South through his novels are very similar with what Freud did with the
European civilization after the World War I in his work about psychoanalytic
mourning (Lee 229). Actually, Faulkner went through the World War I just like
Freud did and he is one of the Lost Generations : a group of writers who were
strongly affected by the inhumanity of war. Thus, this essay will focus on analyzing
Faulkner s The Bear in psychoanalytical view. In The Bear, the wildernessis one of
the significant motifs. Issac and Faulkner saw the wilderness as gigantic, chaotic,
and fearful. It gets over the cultural differentiation of human and separation, which
are characteristics of the Symbolic Order of Lacan s theories (Dobie 71). In other
words, the chaotic wilderness alludes to the Real Order, which remains foreclosed
form the analytic experience (Dobie 70 71). Moreover, the wilderness is considered
as primitive chaos and part of semiotic. Actually, a description of Isaac s first entrance
into the wilderness shows how the passage conveys somewhat sexual impression.

Okonkwo A Tragic Hero In I Fall Apart
A tragic hero is a literary character who makes a judgment error that inevitably
leads to his/her own destruction, someone who works hard to achieve a goal, even
if it means taking a downfall, and a person who brings honor around them. Okonkwo
from I Fall Apart , fits all the characteristics of being a tragic hero. In the book it gives
many examples/ reasoning on why i think that, to support my statement.
Importance is the state or fact of being of great significance or value. Having great
significance is what Okonkwo did. Being a tragic hero throughout a community,
you ll have to be important to the society. Having importance means being known.
In the book, it reads, Okonkwo was well known throughout the villages and even
beyond (page 1). This supports that not only was he known from his village, but
other places too. He was a man of action, a man of war ,(page 10). Actions involve

How Does Elie Wiesel Use Dark Imagery In Night
In the book Night by Elie Wiesel, it shows the things that Elie went through in the
concentration camp. Elie uses dark imagery to show how physically miserable it
was for them. Also, we are able to see his perspective on how they were treated to the
point all they felt was pain, and mostly what he went through mentally and physically.
In Night, the most crucial external conflict revolves around the Nazi party which is
shown through the perspective of Elie Wieseland his use of dark imagery. The way it
impacted the life of Elie because the Nazi party caused him more personal
problems like questioning if his father is worth being with, his relationship with
God, if he should still live, and in the end the way he saw himself was different.
One way the conflict develops is by Wiesel s use of dark imagery. In the text it
states I no longer felt anything except the lashes of the whip (Wiesel 57). This quote
gives you an image of torture, shows how they were treated by the Nazi party. By
him saying I no longer felt anything it indicates that they treat them at a lesser value
to the point that Elie really had no emotions... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

For example he was questioning his belief, will to live, and if his father was worth
sticking with. The text states Don t forget that you are in a concentration camp. In
this place, it is every man for himself and you cannot think of others. Not even your
father (Wiesel 110). This quote shows that it doesn t matter if it is your father, so
Elie should only care for himself. This impacts Elie because he loves his father, you
should love your father. For many people to tell him to abandon his father and just
not stick with him it can really break down someone emotionally especially if they
have been there since the day you were born, and Elie loves his father. They have been
through a lot ever since they have been in the concentration

One of the effective means to at least lessen the occurrence of our present garbage
disposal problem is through the use of methods that are non toxic, less expensive,
less harmful, and yet equally effective. This project aims to provide for a natural and
effective way of disposing garbage.
During the experiment, kitchen wastes were collected. The materials were shredded
and placed in garbage bags with small holes. The temperature inside the bags was
allowed to lower.

Every living cell contains nitrogen and its abundance leads to green, succulent growth.
Phosphorous occurs in the protoplasm, with its great concentration in seeds thereby
increasing their production. Potassium influences the uptake of other elements and
affects both respiration and transpiration (Fitzpatrick, 1974). * Methodology
Kitchen wastes, composed mainly of vegetable and fruit peelings, were gathered,
shredded, and placed in garbage bags with small holes. Temperature build up inside
the bags due to partial decomposition was measured and allowed to lower down for
one month until three consecutive declining of temperature were achieved.
Three set ups measuring 15 x 8 inches were prepared and were covered with plastic.
One box contained pure carabao manure, the other box contained 70 percent carabao
manure and 30 percent processed kitchen wastes and the last box contained pure
processed kitchen waste. About one hundred pieces of Lumbricus terrestris were
placed in each set up. The boxes were placed in a lighted area to prevent the worms
from escaping Since worms are known to be light sensitive. The set ups were checked
daily and watered to keep moisture. Upon consumption of the contents of the boxes,
as evidenced by the appearance of brown granular structures, the set ups were spread
on newspapers under the sunlight. The Lumbricus terrestris were gathered. The
resultant product, called earthworm castings, were then sun dried and passed
Inmate Inmates Observation
On 10/06/17, at approximately 1743 hours, I Ofc Smith B3168 was serving chow
by the front of D9 when I observed inmates grouping behind rows A, B and C. I
stopped serving chow and walked to the rear of D9 and observed a food tray that
had been dropped in front of the tables. Some inmates claimed that someone had
dropped a tray and that is why everyone came over. I looked around and did not see
any signs of any other activity taking place. At approximately 2050 hours, an
unidentified inmate put a note in the Tower Trap stating That wasn t a tray that was
dropped earlier, it was the inmate in A05001 that got assaulted. At approximately

The Girl Who Was Born With Only Two Arms Essay
We meet no ordinary people in our lives. If you give them a chance, everyone has
something amazing to offer. In the story the Girl who was born with only Two Arms
and Two Legs by stuart Baum, Quarta the main character, is anything but ordinary.
The thing is she only has two arms and two legs while everyone else in the story has
four arms and four legs. She feels left out throughout the whole storyand can not find
a way to fit in until the very end when she sees people just like her at the beach and
recreates the gamethey were playing. So give everyone a chance so that they can feel
like they fit in, because we have all had times where we don t fit in and you know
how that feels. So don t be the person like the people who didn t give Quarta a
chance be like the ones that did.
One reason why people did give her a chance was when Shay a kid that has
disabilities asked if he could play one ball. He thought that sense Quarta had
disabilities too and at the end she started to be cool Quarta could make him cool
too. So Shay gave her a chance by playing one ball hoping that Quartas game could
make him cool. Another person who gave Quarta a chance is her parents. For
example in the text it states that even though there new baby was different they
decided would love her any way. That shows that even though Quarta was different...

have something amazing to offer. What choice will you
Social Networking And Its Impact On The World
In 2011, Snapchat grasped the attention of millions of smartphone users across the
world. Consumers were ecstatic for the launch of the very first social networking
application that would allow people to send pictures and short videos, to a
controlled group of people, for a few seconds before they disappeared and never
surfaced again. Snapchat was the first application that established the idea of
impermanent content, which gave consumers a sense of securitywhen sending content
to others. This was until a group of hackers found a way to hack into Snapchat
servers, leading to the company s first breach by publically publishing userdata on the
Internet.

He found calmalty in college. At a young age Evan Spiegel established a passion in
developing and creating software. Evan developed a key talent for building
relationships easily, with the right people who would allow him to find better career
opportunities as a student at Stanford University. According to FORBES, some of
Spiegel s early career experience arouse from working with Intuit s CEO, Scott Cook
and developing a website with Murphy Brown a year before the launch of Snapchat.
The idea for Snapchat, formerly known as Picaboo, was developed as a product
development project for a university course and was brought to light while
discussing the topic of sexting with close friend, Frank Reginald (Reggie) Brown. In
the summer of 2011, before the launch, the three fraternity brothers worked on the
project at Spiegel s father s home. Each member played an imperative role in the
creation of Picaboo. Chief Executive Officer, Evan Spiegel, designed the user
interface and helped with many aspects of developing Snapchat. The three decided
that Evan would be the CEO based on his previous experience. Chief Marketing
Officer, Reggie Brown created the app s ghost logo, Ghostface Chillah and came up
with the initial idea of creating a disappearing picture message application.
All The President s Men
Director Alan J. Pakula hit the nail on the head with his film, All the President s
Men, which does a fantastic job portraying the events of the Watergate scandal.
Filmed in 1976, the movie encompasses the story of reporters Bob Woodward
(Robert Redford) and Carl Bernstein (Dustin Hoffman) from The Washington Post
as they try to uncover vital details about the scandal. To keep an engaging audience,
Pakula starts his film off with an eerie and controversial scene that portrays a guard
ripping off a piece of tape that has been placed in between the door frame.
The film does a great job of realistically retelling the events of the Watergate scandal.

All the President s Men tends to make a huge deal about reporting, alter facts and
leave out a few crucial people within the scandal investigation. With proper
background knowledge and further research into the Watergate scandal, the
viewer is able to tell that there are some brief exaggerations. Similar to the film s
reporters, in today s world, news reporters are always trying to get the next best
story. They will do anything and everything possible to get the truth behind a hot
story. Many famous people now a days can t walk a few steps without being
bombarded by the media. Everything celebrities say or do is noted by the media
and usually gets leaked to the public very quickly. In comparison to the time period
and media of the 70 s, in today s world we are able to pretty much get any
information on almost anyone at any given time. The levels of privacy have gone
down due to the media engagement and the advancement of technology. The
activeness of today s media can be similar to that of the five thief s trying to place
recording devices in the Democratic Party s headquarters. With every news story,
any piece of information can be blown out of proportion and altered to appeal to a
bigger audience. This is just a mere effect from the ever changing world we live in

Why Is Kpop Popular
Korean Pop (K Pop) Lately, it seems that South Korea is making a mark of its own
in the world, besides the fact that South Korea has a booming tech industry. The fact
is that South Korea is making a name for itself due to the successful music industry.
Since the fact that K pop has spread to many different countries many Koreans are
calling this the Korean Wave(Choi 1). So, what exactly is Korean pop or K popfor
short is that recently it has become a global craze, appealing to teens all around the
world despite the language barriers. The reason for K pop s popularity is the fact
that it has been noted to be due to individual talent. Although it s hard to say that
since it seems of late that many artists are being widely manufactured by many
Korean music companies. Unlike America or even the UK being a singer is a very
tough business in Korea. Many teenagers line up to various companies and try and
audition and even if they are able to enter the company many of these students have
to find time to go to school and train their vocal, and dance skills. Not only that but
many companies make it a requirement for these trainees to learn another language
whether it be Chinese, or Japanese and sometimes English. Another reason to K pop
s popularity is the fact we are in the digital age so many of these K pop companies
post their group s music video on YouTube which has helped immensely to attract so
many audiences around the world. Then there s Twitter, and Instagram for

Narrative Transcranial Magnetic Recovery
The aim of this study was to investigate whether repetitive transcranial magnetic
stimulation (rTMS) can improve motor recovery in lower extremities of the patients
with subacute stage spinal cord injury (SCI). This study was conducted with 19
subjects diagnosed with paraplegia because of SCI. The experimental group
included 10 subjects who underwent active rTMS, and the control group included 9
subjects who underwent sham rTMS. The SCI patients in the experimental group
underwent conventional rehabilitation therapy, and active rTMS was applied daily
to the hotspot of the lesional hemisphere. The SCI patients in the control group
underwent sham rTMS and conventional rehabilitation therapy. The participants in
both the groups received therapy five days per week for six weeks. Latency,
amplitude, and velocity were assessed before and after the six week therapy period.
A significant difference in post treatment gains for the latency and velocity was
observed between the experimental and control groups (p 0.05). We conclude that
rTMS may be beneficial in improving motor recovery in lower extremities of
subacute stage SCI patients.

Mythological Allegory Of The Matrix
Some of the most obvious examples of mythological allegory in The Matrix are
associated with the characters themselves. Mythological allegory pointing to
Christianity is undeniable in the character and activities of Neo. His given name is
Thomas A. Anderson. Thomas is also the name of Jesus disciple who tended to doubt;
thus the cultural nickname, Doubting Thomas . Neo doubted everyone and
seemingly each situation he encountered; he especially doubted his role as The One.
His surname, Anderson, traced to it rudimentary form, means Son of Man, which was
Jesusfavorite term for himself. Consider also that Neo is an anagram of one, and as
a prefix it means new, recent, or in a modern form. In the text, Neo becomes a new
man, The One. His choice between the red and blue pills is reminiscent of the
choice always available to Adam and Eve, the choice to eat the fruit from the tree
of the knowledge of good and evil. The choice to eat the fruit would be an
irreversible decision, one that would change the course of history. Accessing the
knowledge of good and evil also evokes, what some in Christendom call, the age of
accountability, the age at which one knows the difference between good and evil
and therefore much make a choice serve one or the other. Jesus is said to have
grown in wisdom, stature, and in the favor of both Godand humanity. Neo
experiences a similar messianic growth process. When his physical body is rescued
from the pod, it is atrophied and full of needle
Reflection On Feminism
This class did not necessarily change my attitude towards feminism, rather it served
as a reminder as to why I choose to be a feminist. I have always considered myself a
feminist and I have worked to promote equal rights in my community. I was very
excited to take this course because I knew that it would teach me about influential
women in history and emphasize why women s rights are so important. But, this class
exceeded my expectations and taught me a lot more important information than I
thought it would. Intro to Women s Studies expanded my knowledge on women s
issues and made me confident in my decision to identify as a feminist. Some things
that I was not expecting to learn about coming into this course were other mass
movements and minority groups. Reading Hoffer s The True Believerreally expanded
my knowledge on the complexities of mass movements. At first I did not see how
topics like LGBT rights and religion related to feminism, but after reading The True
Believer I realized that that many mass movements are related to each other and have
a great number of similarities. A quote by Eric Hofferthat I do not think I will ever
forget is there is a tendency to judge a race, nation or any distinct group by its least
worthy member. I really took this statement to heart and this is extremely relevant in
today s society. Hoffer gave many examples of this, but I was able to relate this to
my own life in so many ways. For example, President Trump just

We can also here that the main theme has moved from the high voices to the low voices throughout the movement. By the end of the movement the we have the woodwinds completely taking over the melody while the stings are playing the accompanying parts. • 14. The External World Skeptic Argument Skepticism argues that we do not know things about the external world. The External World Skeptic argument holds that we cannot, in principle, know things about the external world. Skeptical arguments aim to disprove the Standard Account of Knowledge, which claims that we do in fact know things about the external world. We come to know things through observation and experience, testimony, memory, introspection, and reasoning (Epistemology Lecture Notes). Skeptics claim that all of evidence we have for our knowledge are consistent with alternative hypotheses. The Traditional Account of Knowledge requires a justified, true belief for knowledge. Knowledge requires truth because we can only know things that are true. The factivity of knowledge means that everything we know must be true. Knowledge also calls for belief because you cannot know something you do not accept as true. Finally, knowledge must be justifiable because you need a basis, or evidence, for your true belief to count as knowledge. Skepticism objects the way we come to know things and our knowledge of things by claiming that we do not actually know things about the external world and that our evidence is consistent with alternative skeptical hypotheses. A skeptical hypothesis aims to show that the world is different externally from how you view it internally. There are many different of skeptical hypotheses, such as the Brain in the Vat Argument, the Cartesian Demon Hypothesis, the Evil Genius Theory , and so on.

  • 24. Plato s Teachings Of Philosophy Plato was a well known philosopher who lived during the time of the distinguished Greek philosophers. He was born into a wealthy and very noble family in the Athens. In the midst of preparation for his life long career as a politician, the young Plato witnessed the trial and eventual execution of Socrates. Little did he or anyone know this would ultimately lead him to completely abandon his political career and become one of the world s most distinguished philosophers. Although Platos teachings are not universally agreed upon, virtually anyone can agree that that he was a brilliant thinker and spurred many thoughts and beliefs that are carried into today s teachings of philosophy. While the precise relationship of Plato and Socrates remains a heated disagreement among scholars, Plato states that he was, in fact, a devoted follower of Socrates. Plato was highly influenced by Socrates teachings and highly disturbed by his execution, eventually leading him to establish an extremely powerful body of intellectual work. Plato is known to be a great writer as well as teacher. Some of Plato s most famous teachings and writings had to do with his powerful argument that was in favor of the objectivity of values. He taught that objective values are those that exist outside the individual and are otherwise dependent upon their individual perception or personal belief. This can include truth, beauty, as well as good. Some other distinguished philosophers have come up with

While the price of education is increasing, financial aid is a valuable tool to help students afford the rising cost. With a plethora of options available, it can be overwhelming to learn about each one as well as their own drawbacks. Luckily, this guide is here to completely inform about financial aid, and as daunting as it seems, it boils down to three categories: scholarships, grants, and loans. That said, before this paper delves into the three main topics, it s crucial to learn about eligibility first. To know what makes a person eligible depends on their expected family contribution. When filling out the completely optional FAFSA form, it will ask for information about finances both for the student and the parents. It uses the data given to calculate how much aid the student will receive. If the parents make a lot of money, then the school s financial aid staff may determine that little to no aid is needed even if the family is struggling. Expected family contribution is calculated according to a formula established by law. Taxed and untaxed income, assets, and benefits of the family are all considered in the formula. Also considered is the family size and the number of family members who are currently attending or will attend college during the year.

The materials were shredded and placed in garbage bags with small holes. The temperature inside the bags was allowed to lower. Three set ups were prepared and were covered with plastic. The first box contained pure carabao manurd, the second box contained 70 percent carabao manure and 30 percent ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Every living cell contains nitrogen and its abundance leads to green, succulent growth. Phosphorous occurs in the protoplasm, with its great concentration in seeds thereby increasing their production. Potassium influences the uptake of other elements and affects both respiration and transpiration (Fitzpatrick, 1974). * Methodology Kitchen wastes, composed mainly of vegetable and fruit peelings, were gathered, shredded, and placed in garbage bags with small holes. Temperature build up inside the bags due to partial decomposition was measured and allowed to lower down for one month until three consecutive declining of temperature were achieved. Three set ups measuring 15 x 8 inches were prepared and were covered with plastic. One box contained pure carabao manure, the other box contained 70 percent carabao manure and 30 percent processed kitchen wastes and the last box contained pure processed kitchen waste. About one hundred pieces of Lumbricus terrestris were placed in each set up. The boxes were placed in a lighted area to prevent the worms from escaping Since worms are known to be light sensitive. The set ups were checked daily and watered to keep moisture. Upon consumption of the contents of the boxes, as evidenced by the appearance of brown granular structures, the set ups were spread on newspapers under the sunlight. The Lumbricus terrestris were gathered. The resultant product, called earthworm castings, were then sun dried and passed

In the story the Girl who was born with only Two Arms and Two Legs by stuart Baum, Quarta the main character, is anything but ordinary. The thing is she only has two arms and two legs while everyone else in the story has four arms and four legs. So don t be the person like the people who didn t give Quarta a chance be like the ones that did. So Shay gave her a chance by playing one ball hoping that Quartas game could make him cool. Another person who gave Quarta a chance is her parents. Snapchat was the first application that established the idea of impermanent content, which gave consumers a sense of securitywhen sending content to others. Narrative Transcranial Magnetic Recovery The aim of this study was to investigate whether repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) can improve motor recovery in lower extremities of the patients with subacute stage spinal cord injury (SCI). This study was conducted with 19 subjects diagnosed with paraplegia because of SCI. The experimental group included 10 subjects who underwent active rTMS, and the control group included 9 subjects who underwent sham rTMS. The SCI patients in the experimental group underwent conventional rehabilitation therapy, and active rTMS was applied daily to the hotspot of the lesional hemisphere. The SCI patients in the control group underwent sham rTMS and conventional rehabilitation therapy. The participants in both the groups received therapy five days per week for six weeks. Latency, amplitude, and velocity were assessed before and after the six week therapy period. A significant difference in post treatment gains for the latency and velocity was observed between the experimental and control groups (p 0.05). We conclude that rTMS may be beneficial in improving motor recovery in lower extremities of subacute stage SCI patients. • 55. Mythological Allegory Of The Matrix Some of the most obvious examples of mythological allegory in The Matrix are associated with the characters themselves. Mythological allegory pointing to Christianity is undeniable in the character and activities of Neo. His given name is Thomas A. Anderson. Thomas is also the name of Jesus disciple who tended to doubt; thus the cultural nickname, Doubting Thomas . Neo doubted everyone and seemingly each situation he encountered; he especially doubted his role as The One. His surname, Anderson, traced to it rudimentary form, means Son of Man, which was Jesusfavorite term for himself. Consider also that Neo is an anagram of one, and as a prefix it means new, recent, or in a modern form. In the text, Neo becomes a new man, The One. His choice between the red and blue pills is reminiscent of the choice always available to Adam and Eve, the choice to eat the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The choice to eat the fruit would be an irreversible decision, one that would change the course of history. Accessing the knowledge of good and evil also evokes, what some in Christendom call, the age of accountability, the age at which one knows the difference between good and evil and therefore much make a choice serve one or the other. Jesus is said to have grown in wisdom, stature, and in the favor of both Godand humanity. Neo experiences a similar messianic growth process. When his physical body is rescued from the pod, it is atrophied and full of needle

I have always considered myself a feminist and I have worked to promote equal rights in my community. I was very excited to take this course because I knew that it would teach me about influential women in history and emphasize why women s rights are so important. But, this class exceeded my expectations and taught me a lot more important information than I thought it would. Intro to Women s Studies expanded my knowledge on women s issues and made me confident in my decision to identify as a feminist. Some things that I was not expecting to learn about coming into this course were other mass movements and minority groups. Reading Hoffer s The True Believerreally expanded my knowledge on the complexities of mass movements. At first I did not see how topics like LGBT rights and religion related to feminism, but after reading The True Believer I realized that that many mass movements are related to each other and have a great number of similarities. A quote by Eric Hofferthat I do not think I will ever forget is there is a tendency to judge a race, nation or any distinct group by its least worthy member. I really took this statement to heart and this is extremely relevant in today s society. Hoffer gave many examples of this, but I was able to relate this to my own life in so many ways. For example, President Trump just
