Climatology is an inexact science to say the least. The only undisputed facts are:
there are gases that are transparent to ultraviolet light but absorb infrared radiation,
creating the greenhouse effect , and human activity has caused the accumulation
of greenhouse gasses to increase across the world (McKibben Wilcoxen, 2002).
The application of microeconomic principles can be used to address some of the
fallout of the climate change caused by the greenhouse effect. In this paper we will
take a look at three such measures and what their application can mean to the
industry. The same way that there are various uncertain factors when accounting
for climate change (clouds, ocean temperature, aerosols effect, etc.), there are
various microeconomic principles that can be applied to help reduce emissions,
with equally diverse results. One of the most limiting forms of creating clean
emissions standards is a renewable portfolio standard (RPS) limited to renewable
technology (Paul, Palmer Woerman, 2011). This is restrictive because of an unfair
distribution of credits dependent upon which technology the RPS is being applied
to. For example, an RPS that treats all renewables equally would highly encourage
the low cost renewables like bio mass and wind, while high cost renewables like
solar would not be promoted as fairly (Paul, Palmer Woerman). Some states help
address this disproportion allotment with carve outs or portions of the RPS that
addresses separate renewables

Abstract One of Director Park Chan Wook s most renowned works is the film
Oldboy (2003). At face value, this film appears to be a regular mystery thriller film.
However, after further analysis, there are many parallels to contemporary Korean
history and society. These parallels, or allegories, become more apparent upon
review of the film. The film contains references to Korea s tumultuous history and
contemporary culture, highlighting the multiple disappointments felt by the Korean
people (Seth). The main character Oh Dae su also stands in for the average Korean
citizen while his adversary, Lee Woo jin, represents upper class citizens, or chaebols,
in Korea. After analyzing these points, this paper argues that Oldboy does in fact
serve as a socio political allegory for problems faced in contemporary Korea.
Problems that are addressed include democratization, class structure and privilege,
capitalism, and the importance of power and money in Korea (Kim).

SUBJECTIVE Ms. Tate is seen in her wheelchair after her shower at Glenbridge
Nursing Home on 08/17/2017. Ms. Tate at first is conversational and using
complete sentences and then later she struggles for words and ideas and has some
fear that they will not let her visit Nancy, who is her niece by marriage. On a recent
visit when she was so desperately ill I stopped her Cymbalta and her memantine
and cut back on her gabapentin. Soon nurses were telling me that she seemed to be
much more uncomfortable and seems confused and yelling out. Gabapentin was
increased back to 200 mg at bedtime and she has improved significantly. She also
seemed to have a respiratory infection and possibly urinary infection and was
treated with IV fluids and IV ceftriaxone. I have not received directives from the
family being a nephew to do otherwise. She recovered significantly with the IV
fluids and further with the antibiotics and now seems back to baseline if not better
for the absence of these medications. She actually said today that she felt well,
which was very unusual. She said she slept well last night and had a good breakfast.

The House by The Railroad
Edward Hopper is a renowned American painter. In the poem the house by the
Railroad, he tries to portray a picture of a house erected beside the railroad. This
poem seems to bear a lot more than what its simple title indicates. He has used the
railroad to emphasize the rift between the viewer s world and the picture space. The
more one tries to penetrate the depths of his paintings, the more difficult it becomes.
Hopper s artistic vision was in line with his view of the contemporary world and
nature. This piece of art symbolizes loss that is felt when present progress leaves
behind an agrarian society the central theme being the Alienation of modern life.
In this picture, Victorian style house stands alone in the field. A railroad track cuts
through the foreground. There is a bare sky behind the house with no secondary
objects in the immediate surroundings of the building. this enables us to keenly focus
on the articulation of the building and its relationship with its environment.
This picture can be broken down into two basics: the house and the train line.
However, this is not really what Hopper is trying to convey to us. Life in this country
is made of pure isolation in nature. The presentation of the train cutting across the
land conveys how the train serves those in the country different from those in the city.
