implying that they try to search for and collect anything that can be a source of
food for them. Moreover, her comparison in which she describes the tongues of the
Boys to be as big as toads, she is illustrating the extreme level of dehydration that

When Marielle, an English 2 student, was given a series of critical thinking tasks,
her first response to the poem, The Divine Image, by William Blake changed as she
followed the direction of each task and built on her previous understanding of the
poem. I describe her responses to the eight learning paper tasks and her dissection of
the poem for hidden meanings.
The Tasks and Various Interpretations
For each learning paper, Marielle was given eight different ways to interpret
The Divine Image, by William Blake. Learning paper 1 asked her to read the poem
out loud, write down any ideas that came to mind, then write a summary of what the
For learning paper 2, she had to reread the poem, then detect and define key words
that made a strong impact on her. What Marielle did was define some of the words
she felt were strong Mercy, Pity, Love and Peace. She then reread the poem and was
asked to reinterpret it. After she identified key words, she felt that this poem is
trying to reinforce the importance of being kind to others and treating them as God
would. Mercy, Pity Peace and Love are being reinforced as necessary human
qualities. She looked up the literal meanings of the key words, wrote them down, and
added comments next to the definitions. After defining and commenting on these key
words, her opinion differed.
I am able now to see the correlation between the title the Divine Image and the song
itself. The divine image is expressed in its human form through the actions and
feelings of Mercy, Pity, Peace and Love. The Divine Image is referring to God,

This account of the Peasants Revolt of 1381 by Jean Froissart, a medieval author
and historian, is clearly quite biased in favor of the ruling class, but is nevertheless a
valuable contemporary report of the causes of the uprising. Froissart focuses his
attention on John Ball, an influential preacher who helped incite the rebellion.
According to Froissart s account, Ball preached against the economic system of the
time, railing against the luxurious clothes, houses, and food enjoyed by feudal lords
at the expense of the peasants labor. John Ball rooted his argument against this
system in the Bible, insisting that since all men were born from the same father and

According to Thompson (1994), coevolution is defined as the reciprocal
evolutionary change in interacting species . This occurs when one species has a
significant effect on the survival or reproductive success of another species and vice
versa, leading to the gradual evolution of both species. It is important to study this
topic, as it is possible that the evolution of a majority of the world s life forms was
affected by the coevolution occurring between plants and insects (Smith et al., 2009).
It is generally accepted that there are three forms in which coevolution can take place
Coevolution in this scenario occurs by selection for those organisms from both taxa
which possess trait which allow them to take the best advantage of this mutualism
relative to their conspecifics. An example of this relationship is the plant pollinator
interaction between yucca plants and yucca moths.
While the relationship between yucca plants (Family Agavaceae) and yucca moths
(Genus Tegeticula and Parategeticula) can be defined as mutualistic, it is more than
an ordinary mutualism (Sheppard and Oliver, 2002). In a generic mutualistic
relationship, both organisms gain fitness benefits from the interaction, but are not
dependent on each other for survival. In the yucca plant yucca moth interaction, the
yucca moth provides essential cross pollination services to the yucca plant, and the
yucca plant provides a predator free location for the yucca moth to lay its eggs, as
well as providing nutrition for the larvae in the form of some of its seeds (Moisett,
n.d.). Since the interaction between these two organisms is necessary for the survival
of their species, it is called an obligate mutualism (Lunau, 2004). The relationship

psychiatric diseases, including autism, Alzheimer s disease, Parkinson s disease,
schizophrenia, and addiction1,2. However, little is known about how molecular
compositions define different types and functions of synapses and how different
synapses organize in micro and macroscale to give rise to complex brain functions
and disorders, due to lack of appropriate tools to characterize synaptic biomolecules in
situ in large scale. Here, I propose a novel research program to develop transformative
tools for large scale mapping of synaptic biomolecules, functional imaging of
neurotransmission and neuronal signaling. Specifically, it will evolve along three
main themes: 1. Expansion pathology for highly multiplexed, in situ and nanoscale
biomolecular imaging. 2. Optogenetic neurotransmitter indicator; 3. in situ imaging
tools for endogenous protein protein interaction; This program will expand on the
themes of my previous work on engineering optogenetic indicators for neuronal

In this paper I am writing about the increasing use of medical marijuana. And with
the states legalizing this drug for medical purposes it is a wonder why people don t
care to realize that it is still very illegal under federal law for any use. The research
is based on the states of Washington and Rhode Island petitioning the federal
government on reclassifying marijuana as a drug that is accepted with medical uses,
saying they want to regulate this distribution without putting any type of risk for
federal persecution. This motion by Christine Gregoire of Washington, whom is a
Democrat, and Lincoln Chafee of Rhode Island, whom is independent and used to be
a Republican.
There is no safe system in the state and federal law to supply legitimate people who
need medical marijuana as what was mentioned to Michele M. Leonhart, the
administrator of the Drug Enforcement Administration.
Marijuana is currently classified by the federal government as a Schedule 1 controlled
substance, the same category as heroin and L.S.D. Drugs with that classification,

In the 1954 film, On the Waterfront directed by Elia Kazan, Terry Malloy, played by
Marlon Brando, an inarticulate former prizefighter in his late twenties, serves as a
petty errand boy for the union head, Johnny Friendly. The Hoboken, New Jersey
port across the river from Manhattan, is the setting of the film where gangs run the
docks and work in the area. The film shows realism in many different cinematic and
thematic ways throughout the film. In the sense of cinematically, this film was
filmed on the actual docks of New Jersey in the winter time. Kazan is able to
brilliantly create the realistic port feel by filming on scene and using the natural
surroundings as his canvas . The cargo ships in the background coming in and out,
the slummy docks where men find work, and the local bars from the area. These
natural settings and props made the film real and alive as it was what was actually
going on in the ports. The background sounds on the dock ships whistles and chains
clanging through metal loops add to the realistic aural environment. Kazan also uses
the natural cold and winter to film in which give the film a realistic mise en scГЁne.
Breaths are visible and steam up in the bone cold air. A small detail like this suggests
the brutal treatment these dock workers face daily, not only from the corrupt union
