Analysis Of The Banking System In Argentina
I.Composition of the Banking Sector The banking system in Argentina is highly concentrated. In
2015 the top three banks controlled more than 43% of all commercial banking assets. The top ten
banks control more than 77% of banking assets. This reflects a long term trend of consolidation
beginning in the 1990s when banking reforms were introduced and continued following the 2001
crisis. Today only 78 banks remain in operation, compared to 200 in the mid 1990s. Market entry
is made difficult by both evolving regulation and the concentrated power of large, established
banks. Argentine banks have expanded their presences in recent years. In mid 2016 a total 4,507
branches were in operation across the nation. Still, this ranks below the other... Show more content

By far the largest bank in Argentina is state owned Banco de la NaciГіn Argentina, which controls
27.6% of banking assets. The two next largest domestic banks are the privately owned Banco de
Galicia y Buenos Aires, controlling 7.9%, and state owned Banco de la Provincia de Buenos
Aires, controlling 7.8%. Several large foreign banks also operate in Argentina. These include the
Banco Santander Rio (controlling 8% of assets), BBVA Banco FrancГ©s (5.6% of assets), and
HSBC (3.2%). Some foreign banks have reduced, or have indicated plans to reduce, their presences
in Argentina. In 2016, Citibank agreed to sell off most of its assets to Banco Rio Santander, citing
desires to cut costs. Despite such moves, Argentina may appear attractive to foreign banks seeking
to expand in the Latin American market. The soundness and profitability of Argentine banks make
them potential takeover targets for international banks, assuming a friendly regulatory climate.
II.State of the Banking Sector The banking sector has sound fundamentals. Banks are highly
capitalized. As of July 2017, the BCRA reports that banks have a capital compliance rate
(qualified capital/ risk weighted assets) of 14.7%. This exceeds the requirements by 79%. Banks
have been significantly over the capital requirements for the previous five years. Liquidity
indicators are strong. The broad liquidity ratio in July was 45.4%, while the liquidity ratio
excluding BCRA securities stood at 29.6%

The Divine Command Theory ( Dct )
A shift in philosophy from a relativist point of view to a moral perspective brought about several
new revolutionary ideas. One particular theory that is hotly debated is the divine command
theory (DCT). This controversial idea essentially says that God is the boss. It proposes that God
decides what is moral and good, and therefore how we should be acting. It is a relationship
between two claims, one of which God commands, and as a result the other is what is right.
Many people and philosophers, such as the greatly influential 18th century thinker Emmanuel
Kant, disapprove of it because it is relatable only to highly specific groups. The Divine Command
Theory can be a useful guidance for those who are religious, however, I believe that this spiritual
theory is not a wise guidance to follow. The simple divine command theory is centered around the
belief in God. If you do not believe in God, then this theory cannot apply to you. It claims that
moralityis completely dependent on God. Under the DCT, the morally right action is the one God
commands or requires (IEP). For those who are religious, this philosophyis a very easy way to live
because it is extraordinarily simple. It doesn t force any sort of mental activity or personal beliefs;
you purely live according to what God says is right. It calls into question the very study of ethics.
Those who are religious are dedicated to this theory because they believe that religion ought to
have some bearing on our lives and take

How important was the role played by Edwin Chadwick in...
How important was the role played by Edwin Chadwick in improving public health services in the
C19th?
Edwin Chadwick was important in improving public health as his work illustrated the problems,
such as pollution from factories and a lack of clean water, associated with the majority of towns in
the Industrial revolution. However, his impact was not the only factor that had influence on public
health; other individuals, the government and public attitudes were also significant in changing the
public health services throughout the C19th.
Chadwick s first major impact was his 1842 Report on the Sanitary Conditions of the Labouring
Population , in which he showed that the poor were living in dirty, overcrowded areas which
caused a huge ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Governments at that time were extremely careful to avoid any potential increase in taxes as it
would result in them eventually losing votes and losing power. However, from 1867 onwards,
working men gained the right to vote. This led to governments having to balance public health
reforms with any tax increases, as now they had to appeal to both the wealthy and the not so
wealthy. Through the 1870s and 1880s, more laws were passed to improve the conditions in towns,
one of which was the 1875 Public Health Act.
The Public Health Act of 1975 was much more effective than the one made in 1848. Unlike the
previous Health Act, this one actually made it compulsory for towns to make some changes to
conditions, instead of just making suggestions. Sewers and drains were improved, fresh water
supplies were provided and Medical Officers and sanitary inspectors were appointed. The Act also
saw that the standards of housing were improved, the pollution of rivers was stopped and factory
working hours were shortened. All of these reforms were incredibly important as they led to a high
standard of living in towns, and an overall healthier population.
By 1900, people were generally living longer, healthier lives. Life expectancy had increased for
both men and women, and towns were cleaner and safer. Although Chadwick was certainly
important in initiating these changes, he was limited by the failure of the 1848 Health Act, his

Service Quality And Quality Management Essay
Service quality can be defined as the reflection of service delivery by finding the gap between the
perceived service and expected service. There are 8 dimensions for quality , they are performance,
features, reliability, conformance, durability, service ability, aesthetics, perceived quality and value.
Total quality management depend mainly on quality control tools and previously developed quality
techniques. It s a process of continuous quality improvement which finally results in high quality
products or service for customers. Total quality is the related with customer satisfaction.it includes
the steps plan, do, act, check these steps which combinely known as total quality management.
Servqual model is otherwise called as servqual service quality. Its one of the main component of
high quality service. There are five main common factors for servqual model they are reliability,
assurance, tangibles, empathy and responsiveness. There are seven types of gap in servqual
model . Here am pointing out 5 gaps in servqual model, this model is an extension of
parasuraman et al.(1985). This model is very useful in finding out the quality of service delivery
and gaps in service delivery before and after the service. For example in a hospital setup new
Zealand city hospital the service delivery measured using this model. This is the most common
method used in measuring service.

Thesis For Mending Wall
Is there an object in your life that brings you and a friend together? In Mending Wall written by
Robert Frost, two neighbors come together every year to repair the wall that divides their property.
They do not have any livestock to keep off of each others property but they still come together
every year. They say that it keeps them staying up in each others lives and help to maintain their
friendship. The narrator of this poem is trying to convince these two that there is no point in this
wall because it is not keeping anything off of each others property. The neighbors try to convince
them otherwise. Finding common ground between two people helps build strong relationships. The
author shows this by the dialogue between the narrator and the neighbors, the symbol of the wall,
and third idea. In this poem, the main characters, the neighbors, are in a constant battle with the
narrator. They try explaining to the narrator how this wall has brought them together. It allows them
to stay up in each others lives and keep their friendship stable. The neighbors share with the narrator
that this wall is not pointless. This wall keeps them together but the narrator is still unable to see
the point in this, He is... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The central idea or moral can be explained through a symbol, either physical or mental, in a story.
The symbol told is this story is the wall. The wall is the central idea of the story and this is why
and how these neighbors bond, No one has seen them made or heard them made, But at spring
mending time we find them there. I let my neighbor know beyond the hill; And on a day we meet

Prince Revealed In Nathaniel Hawthorne s The Prince
Once upon a time, in a land far beyond the embraces of the horizon, where the wind carried the
secrets of the sky in its whispered lunges, and the shadows danced for Death at the corners of
perception, there lived a Prince. This Prince, who ruled over a grand kingdom at the heart of an
ancient forest, was very beautiful. He was so striking to look at in fact, that all those whose eyes
gazed upon him swore that he had been born from the very stardust that had shaped the universe;
and that if any stared at his ethereal form for too long, they would surely go blind. In this way,
although the Prince was kind, caring, and a fair ruler to all of his subjects, his physical perfection
was seen as too great of a burden, and fear to those around him.... Show more content on

The scene that he saw before him was so like his fantasy that he almost thought himself to still be
asleep. Except, in his visions, when his subjects had been looking towards him, something vital
had been missing. He could feel the soft fluttering buzz of all of his peoples hearts beating around
him, and while the song they produced was unfamiliar, the Prince believed that it might be called
Love. Perhaps, it was the essential factor he had been searching for. Thus, with the entire kingdom
surrounding their leader in a state of collectivity, and with the powers of this newfound Love
protecting against the effects of Time, the Prince decided that dreams were not things that could
ever be found at the bottom of small brown bottles. Rather, the true dream came from living a life
that was continually present, and constantly attempted to capture even if only for a moment a

Specialized Connective Tissue Analysis
There is another type of dense fibrous connective tissue called aponeurosis. Its tendon like and
helps anchor and move muscles. The structure is similar to tendons and ligaments, there are
bundles of collagenous fibers with lots of fibroblasts ( Aponeurosis , 2015). The fibers run in
several directions. In the kneejoint the interosseous membrane of the leg is an aponeurosis that
creates a space for the vessels to run through. Specialized connective tissue consists of bone,
cartilage, bloodand adipose tissue. When looking at bone as a tissue we see that it is composed of
an extracellular matrix, a variety of cells, and minerals (Dunleavy, 2015). The extracellular matrix
is calcified, and most of the fibers are type 1 collagen. Almost all... Show more content on

Biography of Dwight David Eisenhower Essay
Biography of Dwight David Eisenhower
On October 14, 1890, Mrs. Ida Elizabeth Eisenhower gave birth to her third son, Dwight David.
He was a younger brother to Arthur B. and Edgar A. Eisenhower. Dwight was born in Denison,
Texas, where his family was living at the time.
After his father s general store went out of business in Abilene, Kansas, they were forced to move to
Texas, where Mr. David Eisenhowerlanded a forty dollar a month job at a small railroad there.
Back in Abilene, a new creamery plant was built and an old friend of Mr. Eisenhower asked him
to move back and work for him. It did not pay much more than his job in Texas, but the chance of
advancement was better. In the spring of 1891, the Eisenhower family boarded a ... Show more

Ike was always full of courage. Most people believed that he got it from his mother. In eighth
grade, Ike demonstrated this courage in a great way. On his way home from school, Ike fell and
scratched his knee. It was a tiny cut and he thought nothing of it. However, over the next two
days, blood poisoning set in and from the knee down swelled up, and turned black. The doctors
then drew a black line right above his kneecap and insisted that they amputate, or Ike would die.
Ike said that he would rather die than live as a cripple. His parents left the decision up to him.
For the next two weeks, the swelling spread. When the pain became unbearable and Ike knew he
was about to pass out, he called his brothers to his side and made them promise not to let the
doctors amputate. Over the next few nights, Ike s brothers stood guard at the door. As Ike s leg
grew blacker and swelled bigger, with a smelly pus oozing from the cut, doctors decided that it
would be murder not to amputate, but Ike stood his ground. The next day, the swelling started to
go down and the fever dropped, too. His recovery was slow, but complete.
As a boy, Ike had a horrible temper and was very stubborn. In high school, Ike acquired an outlet
for his energies. He became one of the town s top athletes, excelling as an outfielder in baseball
and a tackle in football. He even organized and became president of the Abilene High School

Sleep And Dreaming Open Book Assessment
Sleep and Dreaming Open Book Assessment
Use two approaches to explain the following case study of the sleep disorders experienced by Mrs
A.
One approach to explain Mrs A s sleep disorder is by using the Biological approach which
believes us to be as a consequence of our genetics and physiology. It is the only approach in
psychology that examines thoughts, feelings, and behaviors from a biological and thus physical
point of view. Mrs A. is experiencing Insomnia due to disturbing her Circadian rhythmwhich are a
variety of behavioural and physiological functions synchronised to the 24 cycle of light and dark
These include heart rate, breathing, alertness, excretion and a metabolic rae. These reach a
maximum level in the late afternoon and early evening and a minimum level in the early morning.
The circadian sleep waking rhythm determines our alertness and activity levels during the day and
night. So by Mrs. A waking up and increasing her alertness and activity levels by using her ipad she
is disrupting her circadian rhythm and thus the endogenous pacemakers or internal body clock of
the suprachiasmatic nucleus and the pineal gland which humans use to regulate this are further
being disrupted due to her Circadian rhythm being out of sync.
Humans have a natural rhythm of 25 hours of sleep and wakefulness, in order to reset this the brain
plays an important role with the suprachiasmatic nucleus which is a cluster of neurons in the medial
hypothalamus of the brain. The SCN

Why Sexist Dress Codes Chick For Everyone Analysis
Throughout the article, Why Sexist Dress Codes Suck For Everyone written by Emily Lindin,
argues why dress codes hurt everyone. Lindin is a very acclaimed and credible author who has
written many pieces for Teen Vogue, along with a memoir about her experience with bullying,
which later became a documentary. Lindin targets teen girls throughout most of her pieces, on the
idea that girls should not be punished for the way they dress. This controversial article was
published in Teen Vogue
magazine in May 2016. Lindin s article argues that school dress codes
not only affect girls, but also gives guys a disadvantage as well. Lindin starts off her argument
by giving her opinion on dress codes not only in the school systems, but in everyday life too. She
goes on to say, Most school dress codes, however, are deeply sexist both in the way... Show more

By telling the story of the girl, who was being made fun of because her stomach showing and

she persuades the readers to take a stand for girl s right to wear what they want. Let s use our
voices and our actions to make it clear that we are people not distractions (INTEXT). By using
quotes that made the reader feel as if they should do something is an excellent way of persuading
the reader. Lastly, Lindin uses pathos when talking about how dress codes are put into place for
boys, so they do not become distracted throughout the school day. The justification most often
given for gender specific dress codes is that without them, these poor boys will be distracted by
their classmates bodies (INTEXT). By using this Lindin is able to persuade the reader into yet
another reason why dress codes are sexist towards

The Culture Of Japan And The Japanese Culture
The Japanese culture is one that is rich within an historical and traditional context. Many of the
traditional practices established hundreds of years ago can be seen today in modern Japan and
are a direct reflection of significant historical accounts. Japan is an island nation, consisting of
the four large islands of Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku and Kyushu. Together they are
approximately the size of Germany or the State of California, and it has a population of
approximately 126 million people. The Japanese religion is based off of two main beliefs, the
belief in Shinto and Buddhism many Japanese people believe consider themselves both. The
Japanese people were known to be around as early as 4,500 B.C. They have constructed their
government style to a constitutional monarchy where they do in fact have an emperor, but he
has limited power within the country. The main power of the country is held by the Prime
Minister of Japan. Japan is made up of many islands that extend along the Pacific coast of Asia.
The land area is made up of a lot of forest and mountainous area that cannot be used for
agricultural, industrial or residential use. Japan also has one of the largest and growing
economies in the world. They are growing every day and it is all because the people of Japan
work very hard in order for their economy to flourish as it has. Japan has a large population in
relation to its land mass and as a consequence most Japanese people live crowded together in an
urban corridor squeezed along the eastern edge of the Japanese islands. A result of this crowding
is that Japanese place a high value on public harmony and the avoidance of any conflict,
especially in public. Japanese norms require people to be willing to apologize and humble
themselves, so much so that even after a minor auto accident each driver will jump out of their
vehicle and bow to each other and apologize, instead of risking a very public confrontation.
Frequently, Japanese will also employ the use of a go between to negotiate a possible marriage. In
this way, an individual can turn down a bride or groom without rejecting them to their face, thereby
avoiding open disagreement or embarrassment of an individual. The Japanese are constantly

Individuals who are given the opportunity to learn new skills, increase their abilities for specific
accomplishments, and increase their overall knowledge in their field are more likely to remain
with their employers. Therefore, many health care organizations realize that continuing education
is not only a requirement for certification but also a method for attracting and retaining the best
employees. Providing employees with a chance to polish their skills and learn new methods of
providing the best care increases job satisfaction. It also makes employees more valuable as they
are more able to provide the kind of care that patients expect and deserve. Employee competence is
what makes health care what it is. Failing to provide adequate opportunities for continued education
in the field will result in less overall care. Bringing opportunities into the organization can introduce
a business with new ideas and creative ways of solving problems. Occasionally getting employees
out of their normal routine can jump start energy and encourage employees to recommit to their
jobs and the company. Learning new skills and interacting with new and different people has a
direct impact on the productivity and development of the work environment. Trainings should not

Mrs. Linde s Husband
In society, women have been regarded as, above all else, caregivers; whether this be caregivers
to their children, husband, or families. There are women who thought and continue to think they
are meant to be more than caregivers and strive to do more with their lives. On the other hand,
there are also women who find no problem in tending to their families; it is a task they do with
joy and Mrs. Linde is one of these women. In, A Doll House , by Henrik Ibsen, all that Mrs. Linde
has done for her family; such as sacrificing her life with Krogstad for a more financially stable
man, shows her impeccable family values, which is why no one can call her a gold digger for
trying to reunite with Krogstad her true love. Mrs. Linde admits she is... Show more content on

Linde s decision to return to a domestic lifestyle with Krogstad is furthermore influenced by the
way she was raised rather than a need to extort money from Torvald; women of older generations
tend to be instilled with strict family values that they come to incorporate into their daily lives
once they have a family of their own. Mrs. Linde s attitude towards reuniting with Krogstad and
tending to his family is described when she states, I must have work or I can t bear to live. All
my life... work has been my one great joy (Ibsen 33). Her obvious need for tending to others is
implied to have been instilled into her from her youth. This behavior is common of older women
in society who choose to care for their families or others and is due to the importance placed on
women tending to their families above all else. Author, Nancy Chodorow of Family structure and
feminine personality , explains how Schooling is a pseudo training. It is not meant to interfere
with... [being] feminine and a wife and mother (Chodrow 90), when speaking of how people raise
their daughters. This signifies that while girls are sent to school they are taught it is not the
most important aspect of their life; they are taught to prioritize domestic duties and caring for a
family, just as a wife and mother would. Chodorow s entry supports and reveals that Mrs. Linde
s reunion with Krogstad does not have to do with the financial stability he can provide but with
her genuine care for his family; she sees no issue in caring for his family because it is something
which comes quite naturally to her. This mentality, described by Chodorow and portrayed by
Mrs. Linde and older women in society, is a driving force behind these women s need to be
involved in other people s lives and is what brings them to hold such responsibility in a higher
regards as opposed to other responsibilities. Chodorow also points out that: Girls remained little
women (90), which further supports her notion that

Simulation Theory And Psychodynamic Approach
2.Simulation theory The theory theory says that we have a theory that postulates various entities
and these are related to each other and behaviour in roughly law like ways. When we want to
explain or predict a person s thought, behaviour, or action, we do this by applying this theory,
because it is a fundamental attempt to address any psychological concerns. We simulate others by
using our imagination and empathy to determine what it would be like to be that person . More
specifically, we generate imaginary states, which should correspond to the mental states of other
people; these are then fed into our own decision making systems to see what transpires . Example,
if John believes that snow is white a simulation of this will become:

Gordon calls this kind of reasoning hypothetical practical .

Theory Theory suggest that FP is theoretical, propositional, or Knowing That.
Simulation suggests that FP is based on skill, ability, capacity, etc., or the Knowing How.
Simulation theory is supported by research on autism. Autistic people are unable to mind read or
attribute mental states to others, and this causes great difficulties with predicting behaviour and
navigating the social world . According to theory theory, autistic people lack propositional
knowledge this is why they cannot mind read. FP is a theory and Autistic people unfortunately did
not learn it like the rest of us, because they lack the ability to empathise and to put themselves into
other people s shoes or pretend play . This lends support to the simulation theory, because we know
independently that autistic people tend to lack empathy and imaginative capacity. On the other
hand, they do not seem to have many problems with theorizing. Indeed many autistic people are
quite skilled with technical and theoretical things

Female Athlete Triad Research Paper
The interrelated factors of the female athlete triad are energy availability, menstrual function, and
bone mineral density each of which develops along a continuum. Each factor may progress to a
point where it is a clinical condition such as an eating disorder. The three factors may be present
together and have developed in sequence, low energy availability due to low energy (caloric)
intake and high energy expenditure leads to amenorrhea that leads to osteoporosis, although each of
these conditions can occur independently of the others. Whether alone or in combination with each

In-Yer-Face Theatre Scene Analysis
It offends today, but we look harder and we know, it will not offend tomorrow.
Having commented upon how the In Yer Face term came to be and how the phrase changed over
time, it will be mentioned at this point how this theatre scene developed its place since it was first
recognized by the public.
In yer face theatre always shocks audiences by its language and images; unsettles them by its
emotional frankness and disturbs them by its questioning of moral norms. Most in yer face plays
are not interested in showing events in a detached way and allowing audiences to speculate about
them; instead, they are experiential they want audiences to feel the extreme emotions that are being
shown on stage.

When Twelve Genoese Ships Arrived In 1347 Messina, Sicily,
When twelve Genoese ships arrived in 1347 Messina, Sicily, barely any of the crew were alive.
They were sickly looking and covered in black boils. Quickly, the ships were sent off but it was
too late. Within a few days, the disease started affecting the town, making the Black Death s first of
many appearances in Europe (Martin 12). The Bubonic plague, known as the Black Death, was a
disease that devastated the Western World in late 1347. The disease originated in eastern Asia but
was spread by rat infested ships traveling along trade routes. The people of Europe had never been

The abundance of fleas and rats combined with the ability for the disease to become airborne
allowed for rapid spreading, large outbreaks, and high mortality rates. When the Black Plague
arrived, Europe was already in a state of distress. Europe s population had grown so large that it
was becoming difficult to sustain the population. They converted all available land to cereal
production to produce the basic need of bread, but they remained one bad harvest or natural
disaster away from death. At the time, the climate was going through a cold phase. This left Europe
with harsh winters and wet summers allowing for many failed harvests leading to significant
famines and deaths (Naphy Spicer 27). The arrival of the plague in Sicily marked the inauguration
of the cycle of movement that raged through Europe. The Plague would slow down during the
winter months then regained its fierce momentum during the summer months as it made its way
through the Western World, traveling by ships and arriving in ports. When the people of Messina
first started becoming infected with the plague, some of them fled to Catania. These immigrants
unknowingly brought the plague with them and the people of Catania began falling ill. Catania

Pros And Cons Of Ad Hoc Routing Protocols
WIRELESS AD HOC ROUTING PROTOCOLS
Raghav Thirani , Monica Chandil
ABSTRACT: An ad hoc network is a collection of nodes which are dynamically located in such a
manner that their inter connections might change on continual basis. A routing protocol is
required, to facilitate communication inside the network by discovering routes between the nodes.
This research paper classifies various protocols and provides an overview about eight different
protocols under varied categories.
1.INTRODUCTON:
Since their emergence, wireless networks have become increasingly popular. There are currently
two kinds of wireless networks in use, namely WLAN s and Ad Hoc. WLAN s are called
infrastructure networks as they have fixed and wired gateways, whereas Ad hoc are called
infrastructure less networks as they don t have any fixed routers, all nodes in this are capable of

are a mixture of the previous two. We end the discussion on these routing protocols by introducing
the Hierarchical routing protocols.
2.TABLE DRIVEN PROTOCOLS
Table driven routing protocols are also called as proactive routing protocols. They try to maintain
the consistent, up to date routing information from each node to every other node in the
network[1]. Nodes respond to network topology changes by propagating route updates throughout
the network.[1] in this paper we discuss three proactive routng protocols namely: Optimised Link

Wireless routing protocol (WRP).

Summary Of How Immigrants Changed America
America is filled with diverse people, citizens and immigrants. It s a country that has welcomed
many cultures, languages, and people from different parts of the world. Immigrants are the reasons
why America is changing into a colorful country and it wouldn t be known for it s importance
known today. Significant changes that occur when immigrants come to America are new cultures,
changes in the economy, and changes towards visas and green cards.
Immigrants changed America by bringing in new cultures. In Vincent J. Cannato s article, How
Americans Became Italian, it explains how America gained many things from the Italian culture,
such as food, music, and films. Vincent J. Cannato states, The Italian American experience reminds
us that immigration is a process of transformation for the individuals and for American society. That
bilateral cultural evolution will continue to mold who we are as a nation, (Cannato). Like Italians,
many other countries are shaping America with all the different cultures. Today, Americans

One of the cleanest and basic energy sources is the solar power by which people can come out
with many of their problems. Solar energy power, which is the energy taken from the sun, have a
big usage in today s world. People in all the countries use this energy source for different cases. It
can be used for producing electricity, heating, cooking, charging, and much more usages. For
example, people in the cities and rural areas of Afghanistan use the solar energy for electricity
purposes, and in countries like japan and U.S it has a vast usage in industrial factories. This energy
is the power that can be converted in to electrical energy and is the most abundant renewable source
available. We can invert this power by modern technologies for different uses like, generating
energy, providing light, heating water, and many manufacturing uses. Furthermore, the companies
that provide solar shingles can make available many job opportunities. Solar energy technology is a
common type of renewable sources that everyone in Afghanistan knows that and

Game Theory Project Phase 1
GAME THEORY Project Phase I
1. Introduction
Decision concerning electrical transmission network expansion has become harder in the last two
decades. As a matter of fact, the power sector has been decentralized and the electricity market is
now a competitive market. Thus a transmission expansion plan cannot follow the traditional
planning criteria anymore. As a result, new techniques are developed in order to solve the
transmission expansion problem TEP.
Usually different optimization methods are used to solve the TEP: genetic algorithm (GA), Tabu
search (TS) and several heuristic and metaheuristic techniques. Those are called static scenarios.
Dynamic scenarios are the one based on game theory which represents the behavior ... Show more

The model is applied to the Garver six bus system for testing.
A form of non cooperative games is defined in [5]. The concept of reference transmission network
(RTN) is introduced. The RTN is considered to be the sub game perfect Nash equilibriumof the
dynamic game. The game agents in this paper are the planner and all the power producers.
Transmission expansion plans are proposed by the investors and the planner chooses one
possible feasible plan. For each plan a multi stage game is performed and every stage is formed
by a number of spot market sessions. At every spot market an auction is organized and both power
producers and consumers participate and bid. The Nash equilibrium at each stage is computed
using diagonalization algorithm. As an illustrative example, A 3 bus system is used.
In [6] a transmission expansion search methodology is proposed using multiple optimization
techniques. Once the optimal TEP is obtained, the costs of the included projects are evaluated
considering the bargaining solution of the right of ways between investor and land owner, the asset
cost and the level of effort of the corresponding agent (investor). A principle agent game where the
principle is the central planner and the agent is the investor is used to model the expected utility of
the game participants. Finally the bidding competition occur in order to win the project contract.
The optimal bid is concluded depending on the

Social Class in to Kill a Mockingbird
There are many different social classes in To Kill A Mockingbird. The factors that separate

Atticus is a lawyer, which makes him a highly respected person in the community. He is also white,
which, at that time was a very important factor that chose who belonged in what social class. Scout

paying back the money borrowed with items from the farm instead of money. Under them are the
Ewell s, who are poor and disgusting. They are completely rude and so are their children, but they
are still in a higher social class than black people since they are white.
The next social class is wealthy or middle class black people. Calpurnia is a part of this class and
only is for the reason that she is black. She has all the qualities of a good southern lady, and has
perfect manners. She is respected and in good relations with the Finch family. Calpurnia would be

their father for defending the Tom Robinson case. He welcomed them and was very friendly,
therefore in the same class as Calpurnia.
The last social class is the poor and black people. Lula is in this social class. She is disgraceful to

white should stay with there s. She was harsh and shallow to someone who is of her kind

Examples Of Racism In Harry Potter
In 1997, a new children s author, J.K. Rowling, released a book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher
s Stone, and took the world and the wizarding world by storm. The Harry Potter franchise, which
later went on to include seven books and eight movie adaptations, tells the story of a young wizard,
named Harry Potter, and his rag tag group of friends as they battle Lord Voldemort and his loyal
followers of Death Eaters. The books follow Harry, who at first did not know he was a wizard
and had to adapt to his new world, and his friends as they struggle to find a balance between
school, relationships, and fighting for their lives against He Who Must Not Be Named, a phrase
used to describe Voldemort because of how evil of a wizard he is. The book covers a long list of
tropes such as good versus evil, the struggle for power, and the most obvious and important the
hero s journey. Although the series is marketed as a book for children and young adults, hidden
beneath the mystical and fantastical story of Harry Potter, J.K. Rowling uses the series to tackle
deeper and more meaningful topics such as racism, ethnic cleansing, and classism. Although it is
hard to find evidence of racism in the beginning of the Harry Potter series, it becomes more
evident as Harry Potter and his two best friends, Ronald Weasley and Hermione Granger, venture
outside of the Hogwarts School of Witch Craft and Wizardry. The feud between the people who

Chapter Summary Of Looking Good By Lynne Luciano
Looking Good is a book by Lynne Luciano, published in 2001. The book is about the male body
image in modern America during the last five decades. The professor essentially asks three
questions in the book: 1. What is the reason to American men falling into the same beauty traps that
women have been for such a long time before them? 2. Have men become more feminine with their
increased concern about their bodies? 3. Have the women s movement in society caused men the
last decades caused men to become similar to them?
The author tries to answer three questions in the book, which are subjective, so it is hard to really
do, but she tries to by going through the economic, social, and culture changes that occurred after
World War II. During the first part of the book, Luciano discusses certain areas men are concerned
about В¬ body and fitness, hair, cosmetic surgeries, and sexuality. She writes about how the concern
regarding these male beauty aspects have increasingly become more and more important for men,
that we spend more money on hair transplant, cosmetic surgeries, fitness studios, fitness products
and are more concerned about our masculinity and appearance, which ironically, is typically seen as
more feminine.

Beowulf, people will realize the importance of putting others before oneself. Also, when the
character, Beowulf, first arrives with his men to defeat Grendel which is the monster he tells the
man who stops them who his father and lord are and what his goal is before he even says his
name. This shows that he just wants to help out of good will, not to just get his name around. This
caused others to respect him more. So if students reading this piece of literature learn why it is

Drilling into teens heads that sex is inherently bad will do no justice in the long run.
Notwithstanding, abstinence only programs do nothing but this, for they hold the opinion that
making teenagers fear the consequences of precarious sex will prevent them from engaging in it.
Advocates of both abstinence only and comprehensive programs are worried that premature sex,
even when wholly safe, will psychologically damage teenagers, but there are no scientific data
suggesting that consensual sex between adolescents is harmful , yet abstinence only education by
itself continues to mandate the teaching that sex out of wedlock will do harm (Santelli et al.

sex education attempts to focus on developing healthy mentalities for the benefit of their students.
Promotion of healthy relationships between oneself and others will help make teenagers find trust

Brief Description Of Public Policy
Part A: Brief description of public policy
Policy refers to a distinct path of action that is suitable for the pursuit of desired goals within a
particular context, directing the decision making or behavior of an organization or individual.
There are three key elements of policies: problem definition, goals to be achieved, and policy
instruments to address the problem and achieve the goal. The policy process is an activity of
balancing different solutions that address aspects of complex problems: the policymaking is
typically described as messy (CITE). Important components of the policy process include
identification of a policy problem along with framing the problem for solutions (also known as
policy formulation), implementation of policy strategies, and establishing outcomes for evaluation
of policy effectiveness.
Policies come from those who have legitimate authority to impose normative guidelines for action
(i.e., elected officials). Formulation of health related policies is complex and depends on a variety
of scientific, economic, social, and political forces. As a result, there is a considerable gap between
what public health research shows is effective and the policies that are enacted and enforced
(Brownson, Chriqui, Stamatakis, 2009).
Non elected officials (i.e., practitioners) are generally required to implement the policy through
programs (i.e., interventions). There are many barriers to effective policy implementation. For
example, insufficient

Loan Of Bonds And Preferred Stocks Are Considered...
Q2: Owners of bonds and preferred stocks are considered primarily creditors of a business.
However, in some instances they also have the capability of becoming corporate owners.
a.)Converting debt to stock equity
Convertible debt is a form of security, which in most cases issued to start ups at the time of raising
capital. The seed investor is given a promissory note that contains a conversion feature (Kimmel
Weygandt 2007). The conversion feature contains a mechanism in which the debt can be converted
into equity at a later date. There are several instances when the debt issued to a company by an
investor can be converted into equity. Some of them include;

These triggers can be an event or a set of events, a revenue threshold, a business milestone or any
other financing threshold. Mostly a financing event is the most preferred one.
b.)Differences between preferred stock and bonds.
A preferred stock is a form of special equity ownership. They are commonly considered a form of
investment that occurs somewhere between common shares and bonds. Bonds, on the other hand,
are a form of the debt issue. Despite the two having numerous similarities, preferred stock has a
tendency to be riskier than bonds, but they attract higher yields (Kimmel Weygandt 2007). In an
instance a company has gone bankrupt bonds take preference over preferred stock when receiving
payments from liquidation process. To protect from market anxiety that come with bonds and
preferred stock it is advisable that they invest in convertible securities. Convertible securities can
provide income like a bond, have potential for growth based on the conversion option. Investing in
such is a sure way that an investor will not lose their investments in a volatile risk.
c.)Advantages of Tax exempt bonds to both issuer and holder
Tax exempt bonds offer great advantages to both the bond issuer and bondholder.
For the bondholder:
Keep most of interest income the main advantage of tax exempt bonds is that the investor gets to
keep most the returns due to the exemption. The fact is that one does not have to pay tax on the
interest income (Melville, 2013).

The Reform Act Of 1867
Considerable progress was made in the European states toward liberal practices as constitutions and
parliaments, but the concept of mass reality became a reality. In the western European states,
parliamentary government was permanently rooted in these areas. As Britain and France
experienced the expansion for the right to vote, in Italy and Spain liberal reforms provided to be
the means of success. Reform in Great Britain took part because of their two functioning two party
parliamentary system and the growth of political democracy. The right to vote was brought to light
by the Reform Act of 1867, however William Gladstone further extended this right with the
Reform Act of 1884. This reform act allowed males who paid regular taxes and rent, by
enfranchising agricultural workers. Even though women were still denied the right to vote, the
passage of the Redistribution Act eliminated historic boroughs and countries and established
constituencies that contained one member for the House of Commons and have equal population
proportions. As the reform s became Great Britain s way of life, this was not the case for Ireland,
in which gradual reform failed to solve their problems.
Not quite like the political trends noticed in Great Britain, France had formed an independent
republic government in Paris, known as the Commune. Not only did the General Assembly crush
the Commune, but also women s roles were changed. Instead of women looking out for wounded
soldiers or caring for them,

Analysis Of Samuel Wallace s Unfinished Business
Unfinished Business
Samuel Wallace was tired of being humiliated and degraded by his boss, Mr. Marin, so one
Monday, Samuel killed him.
Samuel had worked for Mr. Marin for 10 years, and had never once been told thank you. The
closest he ever got was a grunt when the morning coffee he prepared wasn t warm enough or the
tax receipts weren t in two weeks in advance. After months of intolerable lecturing, Samuel decided
that on the 10th anniversary of his joining the firm, he would stab his boss.
The plan was simple. Too simple. As if, subconsciously, it had been taking shape for a long time.
His 10th anniversary was on a Monday. Fortunately, that was the day that Mr. Marin spent alone in
his office all morning. He played blackjack with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He had to keep reminding himself that everything must appear to be normal. With all of his
strength, Samuel tried to force himself to focus on his work. However, he couldn t stop his hands
from shaking as he finalized the details of the Jacobson merger.
Mr. Marin, right on cue, came in at eight and asked Emily, his assistant, to take all of his phone
calls and leave him alone as he would be very busy all morning. As he was entering his office, he
turned his eye to Samuel and sneered, I need to talk to you after lunch. Samuel nodded, noticing the
pause in the surrounding staff, which indicated that they had heard his remark.
At twelve, Samuel packed his briefcase and walked over to the reception, alerting Miranda that
he would be leaving for lunch and would be back at one. Miranda nodded, disinterested. Samuel
then walked to the fire escape, however that day, instead of beginning his descent, he placed his
briefcase in the inside of the door and headed towards Mr. Marin s office. Closing his fist tightly,
Samuel raised his trembling limb and lightly knocked on the wooden office door, one, two, three
times. No answer, but he didn t exactly expect one. Silently, Samuel reached for the metal
doorknob, around which he had carefully wrapped a handkerchief. He wasn t going to leave any
fingerprints behind.
Samuel entered the office and locked the door after him. Behind a huge

Money And Spirituality
Money Spirituality Do They Mix? By Anisa Aven Aug 17, 2007 The hoary argument that you
cannot have both spirituality and abundance continues to proliferate and entangle the minds and
experience of many seekers. As a culture, we constantly deal with the subconscious remnants
caused by the conflict between money and spirituality. We have allowed toxic ideas to pervade
our unlimited essence like a virus destroying our intrinsic right to wealth and fulfillment. Ideas
such as money is the root of all evil , that it s easier to get a camel through the eye of a needle
than for a rich man to get into heaven , and that if you are rich, then you must be either a crook,
selfish, or hardened abound in the global consciousness poisoning our natural right to wealth.
Additionally, the infamous subconscious impression amongst many spiritual practitioners and
seekers, you cannot be spiritual and a servant of the Divine, if you charge for your talent or
knowledge continues to be the self imposed prison that forces many spiritual workers to thrash
about in a sea of lack. These are just an infinitesimal sampling of the money and spirituality don t
mix disease. Indeed, if one becomes consumed with the pursuit of wealth from the external vantage
point, their spiritual unification will be compromised. They may achieve wealth but at the cost of
the fulfillment of their divine destiny and at the expense of personal peace. On the other side, when

The Style Of Naturalism In White Fang By Jack London
The aim of life was meat. Life itself was meat. Life lived on life. There were the eater and the
eaten. The law was: EAT OR BE EATEN. This quote from author Jack London s novel, White
Fang, portrays the style of naturalism and the theme of natural selection and survival of the
fittest. Jack London was a naturalist writer. He chose a style and theory of representation based
on the accurate depiction of detail; and he held a viewpoint that everything arises from natural
properties and causes. Natural selection is the process in nature by which, according to Darwin s
theory of evolution, organisms that are better adapted to their environment tend to survive longer
and pass on their genetic characteristics or the survival of the fittest. London s fiction work, White
Fang, takes a deeper look into the savagery of the wild, the cruelty of man, and the chance of new
beginnings. White Fang is considered by many to be one of the greatest coming of age novels ever
written.
The setting of White Fang, takes place in Yukon Territory and ends in California. The majority of
the novel is set in what London calls the North. This area is a section of Canada buttressed against
Alaska. The historical significance of this area is that the story occurs during the 1890 s Klondike
Gold Rush. This provides a balancing point between the savagery of the wilderness and civilization,
by examining the violent world of animals and the equally violent world of humans. Jack London
wrote White Fang in the Third person. Third person is a method of storytelling in which the
narrator is aware of the feelings and thoughts of all the characters. Jack London especially used the
Third person method, when tracking the life of the character, White Fang, and aiding the reader to
know the wolf dog s thoughts and feelings.
White Fang is the central character and the protagonist of the story. His mother is, Kiche, and is
known as she wolf. Kiche is half wolf and half dog. She escaped from and Indian camp during a
famine. She mated with One Eye, a full wolf, and White Fang came about. White Fang starts his
life in the wild. He becomes more domesticated as the book goes along but still struggles to be the
fittest and surviving among nature, the

Examples Of Allusions In The Hollow Men
T.S Eliot s The Hollow Men is a broad allegory for deliverance in a landscape reminiscent of
purgatory. Eliot provides examples of allusion, imagery, and paradox to describe a fully realized
apocalyptic scenario that affirms the hopelessness of a godless world. The poem begins two
allusions: literary and historical. Mr. Kurtz he dead is reference to Heart of Darkness by Joseph
Conrad. Kurtz was a man who had lost his humanity after traveling to Africa and succumbing to
insanity. A penny for the old Guy is a question traditionally asked by children on November 5th in
England. The question references Guy Fawkes, a British rebel infamous for his involvement in the
Gunpowder Plot , set to assassinate King James I. Both Kurtz and Fawkes are

What Is The Theme Of Ode To The Nightingale By John Keats
Ode to the Nightingale, John Keats The lyrical poem Ode to the Nightingale was written in 1819
by an English poet, John Keats. Beside Lord Byron and Percy Bysshe Shelley, he is classified as
one of the main leaders of the late Romanticism. „This movement emphasize the method in
which the author describes the contrast between reality and dreams, he creates exceptional
characters and use a lot of subjective emotions is his poems. (Е tД›panГk, 16) In comparison to his
contemporary authors Byron and Shelley, John Keats did not describe much of the social
conditions in his works. Probably he did not want „to be the savior of the world, did not want to
dream about the future of mankind and did not want to judge social injustice (Klein, 30) as much...

I appreciate the usage the small bird as a symbol which can provoke such deep thoughts about
our life. For me, the nightingale s song is the symbols of beauty which should be really enjoyed.
It is this small bird who is free to fly wherever it wants to, singing its beautiful song and making
the world better and nicer for us. I really like the whole idea of John Keats having a moment for
himself listening to this sweet song and thinking about it and its originator. Our life can
sometimes be a little bit stressful. People deals with stress in different kinds of way. One of
them can be savouring of those moments that feels really nice, in which we can be left alone to
our thoughts. I think that it is really important to always look on the brighter side of life. My life
is sacred to me. I feel that people are given lives for some reason and it should be their duty to try
to live in the best possible way. Those small moments, sometimes similar to the one John Keats
experienced in the garden of his friend Charles Brown while listening to the nightingale5, are also
important. These moments can compensate for the suffering which sometimes comes to our days.
Life is a precious thing and we should savour it like the smallest breath of air. We should not
waste our time and energy on bad things which will not matter in the end. One moment our life is
in our lungs and in a few seconds it fades away.

I Sing The Body Electric, By Walt Whitman
I Need You, Body and Soul
The poem I Sing the Body Electric, by Walt Whitman is one of the poems from the original 1855
edition of Leaves of Grass. In I Sing the Body Electric, Whitman explores the physical body in
connection with the soul. In this poem Whitman establishes the links between the body and the soul
by celebrating perfection of the male and female body and the importance the body castes upon the
soul and bodies connecting with one another. In this poem Whitman depicts the image of the
perfect body for both male and female by listing specific characteristics that our soul and physical
body connect with to make that body perfect. In I Sing the Body Electric Whitman bridges the gap
between our thoughts and our bodies, arguing that they are both one divine entity. In this writing
Whitman argues the two characteristics of this entity that rely on each other to become one and
create the masterpiece. Whitman explains how the beauty of the body is dependent upon the
thoughts in our mind and our thoughts are in turn the force that allows our body to contort
beautifully in an outward expression of movement. For example, in section one Whitman questions,
And if the body were not the soul, what is the soul? Knowing the answer Whitman continues on to
answer the body is the soul, our thoughts, our soul, is the body. In section six, Whitman explains
how The male is not less the soul nor more .
I agree with Walt Whitmanin that the physical body and our thoughts, and soul

OSA Pathogenesis
Though overweight and an excess of regional adipose tissue are considered major risk factors for
OSA, there are also other interacting elements in OSA pathogenesis, such as craniofacial
abnormalities and an altered UA structure. The results obtained in Lee et al. [3, 4] and Davidson et
al. [5] suggest that the appearance of OSA is connected to physiological changes in craniofacial
morphology or acquisition of speech. First studies used cephalometry and computed tomography
(CT) to examine possible abnormalities within craniofacial structures. Both techniques are very
common in medical imaging procedures. In [6] authors applied sophisticated volumetric analysis on

The New Zealand s Economy
Tawney Elayda

Economics 335
6 August 2015
New Zealand s Economy The country of New Zealand is an island located off the coast of
Australia. It is under the British Commonwealth, however, the monarchy does not play a role in its
government (Whitmore). New Zealand s mixed economy operations are based on free market
principles (The Treasury). Over a span of twenty five years, the country has become one of the
least regulated members of the Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development after
starting as one of the most regulated. The fertile soil and excellent growing conditions coupled
with sophisticated farming methods and advanced agricultural technology... have allowed New
Zealand to rise as a force in the agricultural industry (Ministry of Business, Innovation
Employment). Though New Zealand is small in size compared to many of its trading partners,
the country has established itself as an advanced economy nonetheless. The World Bank reports
New Zealand as a high income OECD country with its total value of goods and services that were
produced by the country within a certain period of time, or gross domestic product, at 188.4
billion current US dollars in 2013. Their population count for 2014 is 4.51 million, but using their
total for 2013 gives the country a GDP per capita of 41,555.83 US dollars. As for foreign direct
investments, net inflow measures the direct investment being made by foreign investors, whereas

The Controversy Of Water Conservation
Every time I want to use the bathroom, I turn the shower on. I kinda feel bad but I am paying for
the water so it is ok. I was astounded to hear my friend speaking these words. I was in disbelief
of her attitude towards the use of water. Even though her statement was true the water bill was in
fact covered by her tuition her reasoning and possible excuse of the unnecessary use of the shower
was worryingly mistaken. Granted, this statement came from a first semester college freshman that
experienced many changes after starting college. Her actions could be justified by some with the
argument that she acted that way in search of some privacy. Nevertheless, that, and other forms of
wasting water by college students, cannot be justified once the implications to our environment are
considered. Because we, as college students, are not aware of the heightened importance of water
conservation, we are wasting this resource, potentially threatening our futures. Here goes another
repetitive essay about water conservation, you might be thinking, and I don t blame you. There are
a lot of essays and organizations that repeatedly send messages about the importance of using our
water thoughtfully before it runs out. This same message has been repeated for decades, and yet,
water has continued to flow freely from faucets and showers. Even though water has not run out
yet, these authors and groups are not doomsday fanatics that predict the end of the world. They
have a very valid reason

Abc- Activity Based Costing
1a) Activity based costing is a relatively new type of procedure that can be used as an inventory
valuation method. The technique was developed to provide more accurate product costs. This
improved accuracy is accomplished by tracing costs to products through activities. In other words,
costs are traced to activities (activity costing) and then these costsare traced, in a second stage, to the
products that use the activities. Another way to express the idea is to say that activities consume
resources and products consume activities. Essentially, an attempt is made to treat all costs as
variable, recognizing that all costs vary with something, whether it is production volume or some
non production volume related phenomenon. Both... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

How Disney Has Changed Their Perception Of Their Business...
When people think of Disney, the think of living in a fairytale and a day they will never forget,
however there are many factors that Disney has to consider for this to be true. Disney has to do
analysis including numerous factors before make their enormous financial decisions. Over their
course in business, Disney has made several costly mistakes that changed their perception of
their business ideas. When Disney decides to build a new location they must take every factor
into consideration. Even when they believe they have covered all the bases, in reality there is no
way to be completely sure in how things will turn out in the future. One example is EuroDisney
and their poor performance. Disney initially believed they built a true masterpiece. They believed
the new location would be just like the Tokyo park; which was a rare example. Furthermore,
Disney was over optimistic in how successful their locations could be compared to Tokyo.
However, they were sadly mistakenin reality. Their creation of EuroDisney was a huge flop,
contrary to the extensive research they left out key factors that destroyed their success. They
disregarded key factors such as competition, cultural differences and environment; these factors
were key to their failure. If Disney would have came in with a different mindset, these factors would
have been taken into consideration. As a result, there would have been gigantic changes in their
marketing strategy. Furthermore there were similar mistakes

As soon as someone matures, they lose their essence of youth. This can be seen in the book
when Holden introduces the character Jane. Jane and Holden hold a complicated relationship.
Unlike any other relationship Holden had, this relationship was of Holdens likings towards
Jane. This can be seen in the following excerpt I really got to know her quite intimately. I don t
mean it was anything physical or anything it wasn t but we saw each other all the time .
(Salinger 85). From this excerpt, it is pretty obvious that Holden holds strong feelings for Jane.
The word choice that Salinger used intimately a word used to mainly describe scenes of physical
attraction/interaction, he used this word to mean the close mental connection of holden and
janes. Hw wanted to mentally trick the reader by using intimately in a different connotation. The
character Jane is brought up when Holden s roommate at the time Stradlater had a date with
Jane. Everything was fine for Holden except for the fact that it was Stradlater, who was going on

  • 2. Analysis Of The Banking System In Argentina I.Composition of the Banking Sector The banking system in Argentina is highly concentrated. In 2015 the top three banks controlled more than 43% of all commercial banking assets. The top ten banks control more than 77% of banking assets. This reflects a long term trend of consolidation beginning in the 1990s when banking reforms were introduced and continued following the 2001 crisis. Today only 78 banks remain in operation, compared to 200 in the mid 1990s. Market entry is made difficult by both evolving regulation and the concentrated power of large, established banks. Argentine banks have expanded their presences in recent years. In mid 2016 a total 4,507 branches were in operation across the nation. Still, this ranks below the other... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... By far the largest bank in Argentina is state owned Banco de la NaciГіn Argentina, which controls 27.6% of banking assets. The two next largest domestic banks are the privately owned Banco de Galicia y Buenos Aires, controlling 7.9%, and state owned Banco de la Provincia de Buenos Aires, controlling 7.8%. Several large foreign banks also operate in Argentina. These include the Banco Santander Rio (controlling 8% of assets), BBVA Banco FrancГ©s (5.6% of assets), and HSBC (3.2%). Some foreign banks have reduced, or have indicated plans to reduce, their presences in Argentina. In 2016, Citibank agreed to sell off most of its assets to Banco Rio Santander, citing desires to cut costs. Despite such moves, Argentina may appear attractive to foreign banks seeking to expand in the Latin American market. The soundness and profitability of Argentine banks make them potential takeover targets for international banks, assuming a friendly regulatory climate. II.State of the Banking Sector The banking sector has sound fundamentals. Banks are highly capitalized. As of July 2017, the BCRA reports that banks have a capital compliance rate (qualified capital/ risk weighted assets) of 14.7%. This exceeds the requirements by 79%. Banks have been significantly over the capital requirements for the previous five years. Liquidity indicators are strong. The broad liquidity ratio in July was 45.4%, while the liquidity ratio excluding BCRA securities stood at 29.6% ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. The Divine Command Theory ( Dct ) A shift in philosophy from a relativist point of view to a moral perspective brought about several new revolutionary ideas. One particular theory that is hotly debated is the divine command theory (DCT). This controversial idea essentially says that God is the boss. It proposes that God decides what is moral and good, and therefore how we should be acting. It is a relationship between two claims, one of which God commands, and as a result the other is what is right. Many people and philosophers, such as the greatly influential 18th century thinker Emmanuel Kant, disapprove of it because it is relatable only to highly specific groups. The Divine Command Theory can be a useful guidance for those who are religious, however, I believe that this spiritual theory is not a wise guidance to follow. The simple divine command theory is centered around the belief in God. If you do not believe in God, then this theory cannot apply to you. It claims that moralityis completely dependent on God. Under the DCT, the morally right action is the one God commands or requires (IEP). For those who are religious, this philosophyis a very easy way to live because it is extraordinarily simple. It doesn t force any sort of mental activity or personal beliefs; you purely live according to what God says is right. It calls into question the very study of ethics. Those who are religious are dedicated to this theory because they believe that religion ought to have some bearing on our lives and take ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. How important was the role played by Edwin Chadwick in... How important was the role played by Edwin Chadwick in improving public health services in the C19th? Edwin Chadwick was important in improving public health as his work illustrated the problems, such as pollution from factories and a lack of clean water, associated with the majority of towns in the Industrial revolution. However, his impact was not the only factor that had influence on public health; other individuals, the government and public attitudes were also significant in changing the public health services throughout the C19th. Chadwick s first major impact was his 1842 Report on the Sanitary Conditions of the Labouring Population , in which he showed that the poor were living in dirty, overcrowded areas which caused a huge ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Governments at that time were extremely careful to avoid any potential increase in taxes as it would result in them eventually losing votes and losing power. However, from 1867 onwards, working men gained the right to vote. This led to governments having to balance public health reforms with any tax increases, as now they had to appeal to both the wealthy and the not so wealthy. Through the 1870s and 1880s, more laws were passed to improve the conditions in towns, one of which was the 1875 Public Health Act. The Public Health Act of 1975 was much more effective than the one made in 1848. Unlike the previous Health Act, this one actually made it compulsory for towns to make some changes to conditions, instead of just making suggestions. Sewers and drains were improved, fresh water supplies were provided and Medical Officers and sanitary inspectors were appointed. The Act also saw that the standards of housing were improved, the pollution of rivers was stopped and factory working hours were shortened. All of these reforms were incredibly important as they led to a high standard of living in towns, and an overall healthier population. By 1900, people were generally living longer, healthier lives. Life expectancy had increased for both men and women, and towns were cleaner and safer. Although Chadwick was certainly important in initiating these changes, he was limited by the failure of the 1848 Health Act, his attitude ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 6. Thesis For Mending Wall Is there an object in your life that brings you and a friend together? In Mending Wall written by Robert Frost, two neighbors come together every year to repair the wall that divides their property. They do not have any livestock to keep off of each others property but they still come together every year. They say that it keeps them staying up in each others lives and help to maintain their friendship. The narrator of this poem is trying to convince these two that there is no point in this wall because it is not keeping anything off of each others property. The neighbors try to convince them otherwise. Finding common ground between two people helps build strong relationships. The author shows this by the dialogue between the narrator and the neighbors, the symbol of the wall, and third idea. In this poem, the main characters, the neighbors, are in a constant battle with the narrator. They try explaining to the narrator how this wall has brought them together. It allows them to stay up in each others lives and keep their friendship stable. The neighbors share with the narrator that this wall is not pointless. • 7. Prince Revealed In Nathaniel Hawthorne s The Prince Once upon a time, in a land far beyond the embraces of the horizon, where the wind carried the secrets of the sky in its whispered lunges, and the shadows danced for Death at the corners of perception, there lived a Prince. This Prince, who ruled over a grand kingdom at the heart of an ancient forest, was very beautiful. He was so striking to look at in fact, that all those whose eyes gazed upon him swore that he had been born from the very stardust that had shaped the universe; and that if any stared at his ethereal form for too long, they would surely go blind. In this way, although the Prince was kind, caring, and a fair ruler to all of his subjects, his physical perfection was seen as too great of a burden, and fear to those around him.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The scene that he saw before him was so like his fantasy that he almost thought himself to still be asleep. Except, in his visions, when his subjects had been looking towards him, something vital had been missing. He could feel the soft fluttering buzz of all of his peoples hearts beating around him, and while the song they produced was unfamiliar, the Prince believed that it might be called Love. Perhaps, it was the essential factor he had been searching for. Thus, with the entire kingdom surrounding their leader in a state of collectivity, and with the powers of this newfound Love protecting against the effects of Time, the Prince decided that dreams were not things that could ever be found at the bottom of small brown bottles. Rather, the true dream came from living a life that was continually present, and constantly attempted to capture even if only for a moment a happily ever ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The structure is similar to tendons and ligaments, there are bundles of collagenous fibers with lots of fibroblasts ( Aponeurosis , 2015). The fibers run in several directions. In the kneejoint the interosseous membrane of the leg is an aponeurosis that creates a space for the vessels to run through. Specialized connective tissue consists of bone, cartilage, bloodand adipose tissue. When looking at bone as a tissue we see that it is composed of an extracellular matrix, a variety of cells, and minerals (Dunleavy, 2015). He was a younger brother to Arthur B. and Edgar A. Eisenhower. Dwight was born in Denison, Texas, where his family was living at the time. After his father s general store went out of business in Abilene, Kansas, they were forced to move to Texas, where Mr. David Eisenhowerlanded a forty dollar a month job at a small railroad there. Back in Abilene, a new creamery plant was built and an old friend of Mr. Eisenhower asked him to move back and work for him. The doctors then drew a black line right above his kneecap and insisted that they amputate, or Ike would die. Ike said that he would rather die than live as a cripple. His parents left the decision up to him. For the next two weeks, the swelling spread. When the pain became unbearable and Ike knew he was about to pass out, he called his brothers to his side and made them promise not to let the doctors amputate. Over the next few nights, Ike s brothers stood guard at the door. As Ike s leg grew blacker and swelled bigger, with a smelly pus oozing from the cut, doctors decided that it would be murder not to amputate, but Ike stood his ground. The next day, the swelling started to go down and the fever dropped, too. His recovery was slow, but complete. As a boy, Ike had a horrible temper and was very stubborn. In high school, Ike acquired an outlet for his energies. He became one of the town s top athletes, excelling as an outfielder in baseball and a tackle in football. He even organized and became president of the Abilene High School Athletic Association. The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

One approach to explain Mrs A s sleep disorder is by using the Biological approach which believes us to be as a consequence of our genetics and physiology. It is the only approach in psychology that examines thoughts, feelings, and behaviors from a biological and thus physical point of view. Mrs A. is experiencing Insomnia due to disturbing her Circadian rhythmwhich are a variety of behavioural and physiological functions synchronised to the 24 cycle of light and dark These include heart rate, breathing, alertness, excretion and a metabolic rae. These reach a maximum level in the late afternoon and early evening and a minimum level in the early morning. The circadian sleep waking rhythm determines our alertness and activity levels during the day and night. So by Mrs. A waking up and increasing her alertness and activity levels by using her ipad she is disrupting her circadian rhythm and thus the endogenous pacemakers or internal body clock of the suprachiasmatic nucleus and the pineal gland which humans use to regulate this are further being disrupted due to her Circadian rhythm being out of sync. Humans have a natural rhythm of 25 hours of sleep and wakefulness, in order to reset this the brain plays an important role with the suprachiasmatic nucleus which is a cluster of neurons in the medial hypothalamus of the brain. • 12. The Culture Of Japan And The Japanese Culture The Japanese culture is one that is rich within an historical and traditional context. Many of the traditional practices established hundreds of years ago can be seen today in modern Japan and are a direct reflection of significant historical accounts. Japan is an island nation, consisting of the four large islands of Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku and Kyushu. Together they are approximately the size of Germany or the State of California, and it has a population of approximately 126 million people. The Japanese religion is based off of two main beliefs, the belief in Shinto and Buddhism many Japanese people believe consider themselves both. The Japanese people were known to be around as early as 4,500 B.C. They have constructed their government style to a constitutional monarchy where they do in fact have an emperor, but he has limited power within the country. The main power of the country is held by the Prime Minister of Japan. Japan is made up of many islands that extend along the Pacific coast of Asia. The land area is made up of a lot of forest and mountainous area that cannot be used for agricultural, industrial or residential use. Japan also has one of the largest and growing economies in the world. They are growing every day and it is all because the people of Japan work very hard in order for their economy to flourish as it has. Japan has a large population in relation to its land mass and as a consequence most Japanese people live crowded together in an urban corridor squeezed along the eastern edge of the Japanese islands. A result of this crowding is that Japanese place a high value on public harmony and the avoidance of any conflict, especially in public. Japanese norms require people to be willing to apologize and humble themselves, so much so that even after a minor auto accident each driver will jump out of their vehicle and bow to each other and apologize, instead of risking a very public confrontation. Frequently, Japanese will also employ the use of a go between to negotiate a possible marriage. In this way, an individual can turn down a bride or groom without rejecting them to their face, thereby avoiding open disagreement or embarrassment of an individual. The Japanese are constantly ... Providing employees with a chance to polish their skills and learn new methods of providing the best care increases job satisfaction. It also makes employees more valuable as they are more able to provide the kind of care that patients expect and deserve. Employee competence is what makes health care what it is. Failing to provide adequate opportunities for continued education in the field will result in less overall care. Bringing opportunities into the organization can introduce a business with new ideas and creative ways of solving problems. • 16. Mrs. Linde s Husband In society, women have been regarded as, above all else, caregivers; whether this be caregivers to their children, husband, or families. There are women who thought and continue to think they are meant to be more than caregivers and strive to do more with their lives. On the other hand, there are also women who find no problem in tending to their families; it is a task they do with joy and Mrs. Linde is one of these women. In, A Doll House , by Henrik Ibsen, all that Mrs. Linde has done for her family; such as sacrificing her life with Krogstad for a more financially stable man, shows her impeccable family values, which is why no one can call her a gold digger for trying to reunite with Krogstad her true love. Mrs. Linde admits she is... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Linde s decision to return to a domestic lifestyle with Krogstad is furthermore influenced by the way she was raised rather than a need to extort money from Torvald; women of older generations tend to be instilled with strict family values that they come to incorporate into their daily lives once they have a family of their own. Mrs. Linde s attitude towards reuniting with Krogstad and tending to his family is described when she states, I must have work or I can t bear to live. All my life... work has been my one great joy (Ibsen 33). Her obvious need for tending to others is implied to have been instilled into her from her youth. This behavior is common of older women in society who choose to care for their families or others and is due to the importance placed on women tending to their families above all else. Author, Nancy Chodorow of Family structure and feminine personality , explains how Schooling is a pseudo training. It is not meant to interfere with... [being] feminine and a wife and mother (Chodrow 90), when speaking of how people raise their daughters. This signifies that while girls are sent to school they are taught it is not the most important aspect of their life; they are taught to prioritize domestic duties and caring for a family, just as a wife and mother would. Chodorow s entry supports and reveals that Mrs. Linde s reunion with Krogstad does not have to do with the financial stability he can provide but with her genuine care for his family; she sees no issue in caring for his family because it is something which comes quite naturally to her. This mentality, described by Chodorow and portrayed by Mrs. Linde and older women in society, is a driving force behind these women s need to be involved in other people s lives and is what brings them to hold such responsibility in a higher regards as opposed to other responsibilities. Chodorow also points out that: Girls remained little women (90), which further supports her notion that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Simulation Theory And Psychodynamic Approach 2.Simulation theory The theory theory says that we have a theory that postulates various entities and these are related to each other and behaviour in roughly law like ways. When we want to explain or predict a person s thought, behaviour, or action, we do this by applying this theory, because it is a fundamental attempt to address any psychological concerns. We simulate others by using our imagination and empathy to determine what it would be like to be that person . More specifically, we generate imaginary states, which should correspond to the mental states of other people; these are then fed into our own decision making systems to see what transpires . As a matter of fact, the power sector has been decentralized and the electricity market is now a competitive market. Thus a transmission expansion plan cannot follow the traditional planning criteria anymore. As a result, new techniques are developed in order to solve the transmission expansion problem TEP. Usually different optimization methods are used to solve the TEP: genetic algorithm (GA), Tabu search (TS) and several heuristic and metaheuristic techniques. Those are called static scenarios. Dynamic scenarios are the one based on game theory which represents the behavior ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The model is applied to the Garver six bus system for testing. A form of non cooperative games is defined in [5]. The concept of reference transmission network (RTN) is introduced. The RTN is considered to be the sub game perfect Nash equilibriumof the dynamic game. The game agents in this paper are the planner and all the power producers. Transmission expansion plans are proposed by the investors and the planner chooses one possible feasible plan. For each plan a multi stage game is performed and every stage is formed by a number of spot market sessions. At every spot market an auction is organized and both power producers and consumers participate and bid. The Nash equilibrium at each stage is computed using diagonalization algorithm. As an illustrative example, A 3 bus system is used. In [6] a transmission expansion search methodology is proposed using multiple optimization techniques. Once the optimal TEP is obtained, the costs of the included projects are evaluated considering the bargaining solution of the right of ways between investor and land owner, the asset cost and the level of effort of the corresponding agent (investor). A principle agent game where the principle is the central planner and the agent is the investor is used to model the expected utility of the game participants. Finally the bidding competition occur in order to win the project contract. The optimal bid is concluded depending on the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The book is about the male body image in modern America during the last five decades. The professor essentially asks three questions in the book: 1. What is the reason to American men falling into the same beauty traps that women have been for such a long time before them? 2. Have men become more feminine with their increased concern about their bodies? 3. Have the women s movement in society caused men the last decades caused men to become similar to them? • 38. Brief Description Of Public Policy Part A: Brief description of public policy Policy refers to a distinct path of action that is suitable for the pursuit of desired goals within a particular context, directing the decision making or behavior of an organization or individual. There are three key elements of policies: problem definition, goals to be achieved, and policy instruments to address the problem and achieve the goal. The policy process is an activity of balancing different solutions that address aspects of complex problems: the policymaking is typically described as messy (CITE). Important components of the policy process include identification of a policy problem along with framing the problem for solutions (also known as policy formulation), implementation of policy strategies, and establishing outcomes for evaluation of policy effectiveness. Policies come from those who have legitimate authority to impose normative guidelines for action (i.e., elected officials). Formulation of health related policies is complex and depends on a variety of scientific, economic, social, and political forces. As a result, there is a considerable gap between what public health research shows is effective and the policies that are enacted and enforced (Brownson, Chriqui, Stamatakis, 2009). Non elected officials (i.e., practitioners) are generally required to implement the policy through programs (i.e., interventions). There are many barriers to effective policy implementation. • 44. The Style Of Naturalism In White Fang By Jack London The aim of life was meat. Life itself was meat. Life lived on life. There were the eater and the eaten. The law was: EAT OR BE EATEN. This quote from author Jack London s novel, White Fang, portrays the style of naturalism and the theme of natural selection and survival of the fittest. Jack London was a naturalist writer. He chose a style and theory of representation based on the accurate depiction of detail; and he held a viewpoint that everything arises from natural properties and causes. Natural selection is the process in nature by which, according to Darwin s theory of evolution, organisms that are better adapted to their environment tend to survive longer and pass on their genetic characteristics or the survival of the fittest. London s fiction work, White Fang, takes a deeper look into the savagery of the wild, the cruelty of man, and the chance of new beginnings. White Fang is considered by many to be one of the greatest coming of age novels ever written. The setting of White Fang, takes place in Yukon Territory and ends in California. The majority of the novel is set in what London calls the North. This area is a section of Canada buttressed against Alaska. The historical significance of this area is that the story occurs during the 1890 s Klondike Gold Rush. This provides a balancing point between the savagery of the wilderness and civilization, by examining the violent world of animals and the equally violent world of humans. Jack London wrote White Fang in the Third person. Third person is a method of storytelling in which the narrator is aware of the feelings and thoughts of all the characters. Jack London especially used the Third person method, when tracking the life of the character, White Fang, and aiding the reader to know the wolf dog s thoughts and feelings. White Fang is the central character and the protagonist of the story. His mother is, Kiche, and is known as she wolf. Kiche is half wolf and half dog. In I Sing the Body Electric, Whitman explores the physical body in connection with the soul. In this poem Whitman establishes the links between the body and the soul by celebrating perfection of the male and female body and the importance the body castes upon the soul and bodies connecting with one another. In this poem Whitman depicts the image of the perfect body for both male and female by listing specific characteristics that our soul and physical body connect with to make that body perfect. In I Sing the Body Electric Whitman bridges the gap between our thoughts and our bodies, arguing that they are both one divine entity. In this writing Whitman argues the two characteristics of this entity that rely on each other to become one and create the masterpiece. Whitman explains how the beauty of the body is dependent upon the thoughts in our mind and our thoughts are in turn the force that allows our body to contort beautifully in an outward expression of movement. For example, in section one Whitman questions, And if the body were not the soul, what is the soul? Knowing the answer Whitman continues on to answer the body is the soul, our thoughts, our soul, is the body. In section six, Whitman explains how The male is not less the soul nor more . I was astounded to hear my friend speaking these words. I was in disbelief of her attitude towards the use of water. Even though her statement was true the water bill was in fact covered by her tuition her reasoning and possible excuse of the unnecessary use of the shower was worryingly mistaken. Granted, this statement came from a first semester college freshman that experienced many changes after starting college. Her actions could be justified by some with the argument that she acted that way in search of some privacy. Nevertheless, that, and other forms of wasting water by college students, cannot be justified once the implications to our environment are considered. Because we, as college students, are not aware of the heightened importance of water conservation, we are wasting this resource, potentially threatening our futures.
