Temperature Enzyme Activity
The entirety of this experiment was to conclude if temperature had an effect on enzyme activity.
The experiment tested the perimeters of enzyme activity and to see whether or not the temperature
had an effect on the amount of substrate produced. Enzymes are especially well known for being
catalyst within a reaction (Royal Society of Chemistry). A catalyst is, in this case an enzyme, which
speeds up a reaction by lowering the activation energy required to start the reaction (Royal Society
of Chemistry). Previous research has shown that while the temperaturerises reacting molecules have
more kinetic energy. The more kinetic energy each molecule has, the greater the chance of reaching
its point of highest catalytic activity (Royal Society of

Banking Fraud And The Banking Industry
A banking fraud is the use of illegal means to gain money, assets from depositors or clients
fraudulently while posing as a bank, agent or any other financial institution. In many countries and
especially the United States, bank fraud is a criminal offense even though experts refer to it as a
white collar crime due to the manner in which it is carried out. The paper below will look at the
vulnerabilities that face the banking industry while using the example of Stanford Financial Group
Company to show how the banking fraudcan be committed. Moreover, the paper will also look at
the different frauds that can be committed in the banking sector and how the vulnerabilities can be
avoided. A fraud prevention program will also be created meant to help companies in the banking
industry prevent and detect crimes and frauds before they occur (Riggs, 2007).
Stanford Financial Group Company: A Brief History
The Stanford Financial Group Company was a privately owned international group that specialized
in financial services under the control of Allen Stanford. Allen Stanford controlled the financial
company until United States authorities seized in at the end of 2009 due to what came to be known
as Ponzi scheme or scandal. Among its many groups was the Stanford International Bank, with
more than 50 offices in 136 countries around the globe. The company offered diversified financial
services such as brokerage and investment advisory, private and commercial banking, advising

An Examination Of Post Event Information ( Pei )
Another form of Post event information (PEI) is conformity, in the event that an individual
witnesses a crime committed there is always the potential that there are co witnesses that also
witnessed the crime, while an increase in witnesses may hold some positives there is the potential
for conformity. Conformity takes place when one witnesses memories of a past event become
more like another person s described memories of the same event (Kieckhaefer, J.M. Wright, D.B.,
2015, pg. 462). Co witnesses often alter their memoryreports to coincide with other witnesses
reports (Goodwin K.A. et al., 2013, pg. 91). If a co witnessis a friend or family then an individual is
even more likely to conform to their views than they would be if the co witness was a stranger.
Kieckhaefer and Wright also found evidence that another factor that increases a witnesses
memory conformity is if the co witness is likable(Kieckhaefer, J.M. Wright, D.B., 2015, pg. 463).
There have been multiple studies conducted where researchers use confederates, research helpers
used to feed unknowing participants information, to determine whether or not participants will
conform to the confederate s reports (Goodwin, K.A. et al., 2013, pg. 91). Furthermore, witnesses
are more likely to alter their views when they are motivated to avoid deviating from the group.
Therefore, if a group of other individuals pressure a witness they are likely to alter their experience
to fit with others (Goodwin, K.A. et al.,

The Day Canada Became a Nation Essay
In World War I, the victory of the Allies was caused by the turning point of a stalemate on the
Western Front of the Battle of Vimy Ridge. It was the Canadians willingness to forgo nationalism
in the interests of efficiency and effectiveness that marked a new (Dickson 40) transition of the
ending of war. Through the second battle of Ypres, the Battle of Aras, and observing the previous
bloodbath at the Battle of The Somme, the Canadian Expeditionary Force (C.E.F) perfected their
defense tactics and techniques to fight in the evolutionary battle that made Canadaa nation.
When Great Britain declared war on Germany in 1914, the Dominion of Canada was automatically
motivated to mobilize. Nationalism and determination got Prime ... Show more content on

The entire shipment of 22,000 shovels which had cost the government over $29,000 was sold
off as scrap in 1917 for $1,400. 2 Other weaponry included colt machine guns and even Canadian

eventually replaced with British issue (Dickson 35). The C.E.F battle tactics were renewed and
artillery was adopted throughout the course of 1914 to 1916, bringing success to the Battle of
Vimy Ridge. On 22 April 1915 the second Battle of Ypres established the reputation of the
Canadians being a fighting force. This was created through the Ypres Salient, which is where the
British and allied line pushed into the German line in a concave bend. The Germans held the
higher ground and were able to fire into the allied trenches from the north, the south and the east,
but the Allies prearranged defense strategies: On the Canadian right was the British Expeditionary
Force, and on their left was the 48th Algerian and 87th Territoral French, which were militia

Salient by introducing a new weapon of modern warfare poison gas. Following an intensive
artillery bombardment, they released 160 tons of chlorine gas from cylinders dug into the forward
edge of their trenches into a light northeast wind.4 As thick clouds of yellow green chlorine drifted

Tar Syndrome Research Paper
Thrombocytopenia with absent radius (TAR) syndrome is a rare genetic disorder within the
human body. TAR syndrome is defined by an absence of the radius in both forearms. This disorder
comes with a range of debilitating effects. Many children diagnosed do not survive infancy.
TAR syndrome is caused by an absence of the 1, 1q21.1 chromosome. This deletion is also found in
32% of unaffected family members. (Thomas, 2008) Because of the unaffected family members it
indicates there must be an additional modifier to cause a diagnosed patient. In 2012, it was
discovered TAR syndrome was a recessive condition, and instead of deleting the entire chromosome
it only partially removes the production of the protein Y14. (Weisksner, 2012) So this is

Physical Evidence Collected At A Crime Scene
Physical evidence collected at a crime scene provides much needed information for a criminal
investigator to build his or her case. Since the inception of the Innocence Project in 1992, more
than 300 wrongfully convicted people have been exonerated after DNA testing established that
the crime for which he or she had been convicted was committed by another
(Innocenceproject.org, n.d.). Advances in forensic science makes possible the means to
individualize other items of evidence that point to the person or persons responsible for a crime.
Dr. Edmond Locard formulated the principle that is the foundation of forensic science: Every
interaction leaves a trace. A drop of sweat or a flaked off skin cell could be all that is needed to
corroborate a defendant s presence during the commission of a crime. Origins and History The
earliest documented example of doctors making the connection between cause of death and
crime can be found in a book titled HsiDuan Yu ( The Washing Away of Wrongs ) that dates back
to 1248. In this book, doctors describe establishing a case of drowning by the presence of water
in a subject s lungs and identifying a death by strangulation through observing the characteristic
ligature marks on the throat and crushed cartilage in the neck (Nickell Fischer, 2014, p. 6). This
same book recounts a case in which insect activity was used to solve a murder: in 1235, a victim
was murdered by hacking, and Tzu ordered the men in the village to put their

Analysis Of Kate Chopin s A Respectable Woman

April 15, 2016
Many things one does or does not do in life are based on perception; our perception of someone,
their perception of us, and even our perception of ourselves. John Moore says, your opinion is your
opinion, your perception is your perception do not confuse them with facts or truth. Wars have
been fought and millions have been killed because of the inability of men to understand the idea
that everybody has a different viewpoint (Quotations for Martial Artists, John Moore, p 1). In
Kate Chopin s A Respectable Woman, perception is a major theme; for example, Mrs. Baroda s
perception of her husband s friend, Gouvernail, shifts drastically throughout the short story.
Chopin s main theme of perception is displayed well because of her use of literary devices such
as imagery, setting and dialogue; through these devices, Chopin reveals Mrs. Baroda s feelings
and thoughts, based on the way she perceives Gouvernail before, during and after meeting him
for the first time; this paper will discuss the literary devices and how Kate Chopin uses them to
portray themes of freedom, identity, desire, as well as perception. In the beginning of the story,
Chopin uses description in order to form Mrs. Baroda s initial perception of Gouvernail when she
finds out her husband had invited him to spend a few weeks on their plantation; Mrs. Baroda was
less than pleased to discover his arrival. Mrs. Baroda

Effects Of Stress In France Comcomlecom
Stress in the Workplace My reaction to the situation with France Telecom is that it is a tragedy, no
organization should be ok with any of their employees being stressed to the point of wanting to kill
themselves. Which reminded me of our previous discussion about job satisfaction. I don t think any
job is worth the stressthat the employees of France Telecom had to endure, no matter how much
money the employees are making. I also thought, this is an important public/global health issue that
needs to be addressed.
What went wrong at France Telecom?
I believe there are more factors to consider than what was included in this case, but with the
information given, the internal factors were mainly poor management, such as the chairman Didier
Lombard. According to BBC news, Mr. Lombard announced plans to cut 22,000 jobs and move
another 14,000 workers, as France Telecom pushed for greater efficiency in the wake of
privatization, two years earlier. (N/A, 2016) This was the main contributor to the extremely high
levels of stress the employees were under. When deciding to make changes in the organization, the
company was using psychological pressure and pathogenic restructuring that caused the employees
immense stress and the feeling of insecurity in the face of globalization. They felt insignificant to
the company and the way they were pressured and treated created huge role conflict and overload.
I believe that it is the manager s job to make sure that the work environment is

Religion of Islam
The first thing that one should know and clearly understand about Islam is what the word Islam
itself means. The religion of Islam is not named after a person as in the case of Christianity which
was named after Jesus Christ, Buddhism after Gotama Buddha, Confucianism after Confucius, and
Marxism after Karl Marx. Nor was it named after a tribe like Judaism after the tribe of Judah and
Hinduism after the Hindus. Islamis the true religionof Allah and as such, its name represents the
central principle of Allah s Gods religion; the total submission to the will of Allah God . The

THE MESSAGE OF FALSE RELIGION
There are so many sects, cults, religions, philosophies, and movements in the world, all of which
claim to be the right way or the only true path to Allah. How can one determine which one is
correct or if, in fact, all are correct? The method by which the answer can be found is to clear
away the superficial differences in the teachings of the various claimants to the ultimate truth, and
identify the central object of worship to which they call, directly or indirectly. False religions all
have in common one basic concept with regards to Allah. They either claim that all men are gods
or that specific men were Allah or that nature is Allah or that Allah is a figment of man s
imagination.
Thus, it may be stated that the basic message of false religion is that Allah may be worshipped in
the form of His creation. False religion invites man to the worship of creation by calling the
creation or some aspect of it God. For example, prophet Jesus invited his followers to worship
Allah but those who claim to be his followers today call people to worship Jesus, claiming that he
was Allah!
Buddha was a reformer who introduced a number of humanistic principles to the religion of India.
He did not claim to be God nor did he suggest to his followers that he

Social Capital And Cultural Capital
After cultural capital and cultural arbitrary, then, comes the third capital, which Bourdieu s theory
terms habitus. Habitus is a term, which is similar to cultural capital because they are transmitted
from home: Like cultural capital, habitus is transmitted within the home (Sullivan 149). However,
there is a dissimilarity concerning cultural capitaland habitus: ... whereas cultural capital consists of
the possession of legitimate knowledge, habitus is a set of attitudes and values, and the dominant
habitus is a set of attitudes and values held by the dominant class (Sullivan 149). Also, part of the
habitus is the positive attitude towards education, as Sullivan mentions A major component of the

Santos tributes the adolescent s weathered physical attributes to the complete abandonment of
her father, which is reflected in the comment of Santos on the action of her father: Hace mal tu
padre en no ocuparse de ti como mereces.... (Gallegos 115). This uncaring of self appearance by
Marisela implies that she does not have the same educational level and understanding to that of
Santos and, therefore, her understanding of what appearance implies, is unclear to her; it is
unclear to her because she is not educated and has a lack of understanding, which to Bourdieu s
explains that cultural competence is needed to understanding the meaning of the self appearance
code: a work of art has meaning and interest only for someone who possesses the cultural
competence, that is, the code, into which it is encoded (1665). Also, the conversations that Santos
has with her about her appearance has no meaning to her because: a beholder who lacks the
specific code feels lost in a chaos of sounds and rhythms, colors, and lines, without rhyme or reason
(Bourdieu 1665). However, this will all change as Santos begins to convey his habitus unto her.
The ultimate objective of Santos is the modernization

Abigail Adams Letter To Her Son Summary
Every parent wants their child to succeed. In 1780, Abigail Adams wrote a letter to her son, John
Quincy Adams, future president of the United States, while he was was travelling abroad with his
father who was only a US diplomat during that time. She addresses certain expectations that he
should be aware of. Even so, he is reluctant to be on a diplomatic duty with his father. This called
her to the attention that she has to advise him. That advisement came in the form of motherly
guidance. Adams, as a woman who is exceedingly bright and different from those of her time,
believes that only the hard working will be successful. In Adams s letter to her son, she conveys
the importance of his future through the tone of a caring mother, historical references, and a list of
great virtues to convey to him the importance of working hard to achieve one s potential.
To begin with, Abigail Adamsaddresses the letter to my dear son to set the tone of not reprimand
but guidance to him. The first thing that Adams establishes is that she puts her son s wellness
above all: I hope you have had no occasion, either from enemies or the dangers of the sea, to
repent your second voyage to France (Adams). This language sets the tone to appeal to his
emotions so that Adams can get her point across. It reminds her son to keep in mind that everything
else in the letter is written to his advantage. Next, the reference that the author uses to compare a
judicious traveller to a river validates her

The Idea Of Jesus Dying For Sin
Is the idea of Jesus dying for sin barbaric or outmoded ? (Choose one.) Why or why not? I
disagree with the idea of Jesus dying for sin as being an outmoded concept. Throughout history,
we see over and over again of people giving up everything, including their lives, for the greater
good. A person dying for what they believe in is not outdated, but the actual act of dying in such a
horrific way, however, is barbaric in its nature. The entire crucifixion is one of many disgusting acts
that humanity has done to each other. I m taking the phrase outmoded to mean outdated and no
longer relevant to our world today. The phrase barbaric means to be exceedingly cruel, brutal, and
atrocious in its very nature. According to the Bible,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
All my bones are on display; people stare and gloat over me. 2 This sounds eerily like the type of
execution that Jesus endured. For him, there was no question of enduring that kind of pain in
order to save the people. Despite the question of Jesus truly being the Messiah, he fully believed
that he was sent to bring about the Kingdom of God and fulfill the covenant. Historically, the
time period that Jesus was sentence to a crucifixion was reserved for the serious criminals. Rick
Renner analyzed the facts surrounding the death of Jesus Christ. He stated Crucifixion was
indisputably one of the cruelest and most barbaric forms of punishment in the ancient world.
Flavius Josephus, the Jewish historian, described crucifixion as the most wretched of deaths. It
was viewed with such horror that in one of Seneca s letters to Lucilius, Seneca wrote that suicide
was preferable to crucifixion. Getting into some of the gory details, Jesus literally had a five
inch iron nail through each wrist into the wood of the crossbeam. Then he was hoisted up with a
rope that dropped into a groove creating even more pain in the hands and wrists. The weight of
his body caused his arms to pop out of their sockets. Then the feet were nailed down as well.
Slowly, all of his joints would dislocate. When he was finally too exhausted and could no longer

Trust Definition Essay
What is the meaning of trust? What does it take for a person to fully, unconditionally trust a

My story originates from a few weeks ago, August 19th, 2015 to be exact. I am relaxing at home,

The Impact Of Stereotypes And Stereotypes
The Impact of Stereotypes
Stereotype:

2. A person or thing that conforms to a widely held but oversimplified image of the class or type to

However, they should not be chastised for their decision.
Throughout history, there have been many experiments and works of literature showcasing the
effect and various perspectives of being marginalized in society. For example, the prose essay

Northeast China. In this article, he explains the different opinions and struggles that Koreans have,
living in China. Gao suggests that Koreans and Asians share the same racials label: portrayed as a

Summary Of Gary Stull s Crude Currency
Crude Currency by Gary Stull is an intriguing novel filled with action and adventure. The third
book of the John Lock series, the story is written in the third person perspective and centers on
John s point of view. John Lock is a cruise ship detective with an uncanny ability to spout off
detailed facts of famous places around Europe. One of John s friend, who also works on the
cruise ship, asks him to find his missing brother, August Wolfe, an European Union (EU)
negotiator. Vowing to do anything he can to find Wolfe, John is joined by Rachel, an EU
investigator and his former lover. Together, they encounter many dangers and face off deadly
criminals as they figure out how to save Wolfe. As he investigates further into the matter, he
learns that Wolfe s dealings with corrupt government officials are not what they seem to be. Is
August Wolfe actually working with these corrupt officials, or is he a victim of fraud? The
author vividly described each of the characters, and the dialogue between the characters flowed
easily. This made it easy to distinguish the personalities of each character. John has many faults,
but he tries to do good and see justice served. However, John is willing to do anything to right
wrongs which causes a few problems between him and Rachel. Rachel is the exact opposite of
John. She is cautious and opposed to killing... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

How much should they save? Magazines for new parents deal with this issue on a regular basis.
Parents are warned in American Baby, Start early...Eighteen years from now...a college education
will cost close to $85,000 at a public university and just over $200,000 at a private institution.
Parents are also advised to save around $115 284 a month from their child s birth. Another issue of
American Baby suggests that parents Start saving as soon as you can, and put money in regularly.

Ancient Greeks pursued an education in order to be better citizens and because they valued the
mind and thinking. In an article in Change, Arthur Levine and Jeanette Cureton quote John
Henry Cardinal Newman who wrote The Idea of a University in the mid 1800 s. His ideal was a
residential community of students and teachers devoted to the intellect. To him a college was an
alma mater, knowing her children one by one, not a foundry, or a mint, or a treadmill. To
Newman, a university was a gathering place for those who wanted to enrich their lives through
learning, not a place where students could be molded. Is this the case today? The New Jersey City
University states that a liberal arts curriculum will provide students with the kind of knowledge that
will help them live a more rewarding life one that is rich with meaning. Their College of Arts and
Sciences contends that it is dedicated to providing students with an education that will expand their
perceptions and give them a firm foundation for living, working, and decision making. But what is

Parenting Styles In Grace Based Parenting
My family situation is very positive. My parents have been married for years. They were not able
to have kids till they were years old. In 1997 they had me and four years later in 2001 they had my
younger brother. Both of my parents parenting styles are different. They both, however have a
combination of parentingstyles described in Grace Based Parenting. Grace Based Parenting
addresses seven parenting methods. The seven methods are fear based, evangelical behavior
modification, image control, high control, herd mentality, duct tape, and life support or 911
parenting. I think at one time or another, either both or one of my parents have exercised the
methods fear based, high control, and grace based parenting. My parents have not always had a
fear based approach to parenting. I believe when my brother and I were young they took on this
method mainly to protect us. Because my motherhas experience in the medical field and more
specifically worked at Scottish Rite, she has seen some terrible things that have happened to
children. Thus, she did not allow us to go over and hang out with just anyone. Our door,
however, was always open to any neighborhood kids and I remember many times that we had
almost every child in the neighborhood in our living room. They did not discourage us from
hanging out with nonreligious children in the neighborhood. In fact, they encouraged us to set
a good example for those kids. They, also, encouraged us to invite them to church and most times
we had at least one child going with us to church. When it came to television and the Internet, I
did not have television till I was in 3rd grade and could use the Internet, but it was monitored.
My parents implemented high control parenting in that they had a lot of control on if I did or
did not do something. They did not push me out of my comfort zone in safe ways. They
controlled so much because they wanted me to be safe and never make any big mistakes that I
never really got involved in anything that was outside of a church activity or a sports team which
one of my parents were always there to supervise. I eventually felt that there was no need to try
new things because they were always there to judge or wanting me to

Communicative Language Teaching ( Clt ) Approach
The field of second language learning has undergone, in the past few decades, many changes.
Nonetheless, from a variety of methods that have come and gone, one has been adopted as pioneer,
which is the Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) approach. Nowadays, in fact,
Communicative Language Teaching is one of the most common teaching methods adopted by
teachers of second and foreign languages all over the world. Its origin can be found in the late
1960s early 1970s in the British academic system, which was undergoing a serious of changes that
reflected, none other than, the changes that were occurring in society. The aim of this paper is to
give an overview of what Communicative Language Teachingis, what are its main distinguishing

On the other hand, American linguists, based on Chomsky s language acquisition theory and
concept of linguistic competence, started rejecting the Oral Approach. This was the contingent
cause for a shift in Britain s language teaching method, SLT. In fact, also Britain s linguists began
questioning SLT s practical and theoretical foundations. Therefore, both Chomsky s studies as well
as the criticality British linguists had towards the more traditional methodologies led to the advent
of the Communicative Language Teaching approach.
This approach was very advanced for the time. It revolutionised the strategies of language learning
and also changed the role of the language teachers as well as the language learners. In contrast with
some of the methodologies previously adopted, its main goal is to teach the scholars the ability to
communicate. Thereby, Communicative Language Teaching bases itself upon the concept of
language competence, which is considered the actual basis of proficiency in a language. Hence,
teaching activities involve students in real life communicative situations in which the
communicative task is of more importance than the grammatical accuracy. Other exercises such as
games, songs, problem solving and role plays also are used in classrooms. It must be said that
each of these activities are sowed on the learners needs, therefore, if the class

Analysis Of The Nightmare Before Christmas
Around the world, people know of holidays like St. Patrick s Day, Valentine s day, or Christmas.
However, there is a magical place where not everyone knows of such things, they just know
what is around them. Screenwriter Caroline Thompson allows for others to see a new look at
how the holidays are in their world. For example, Thompson describes how a scary skeleton
embarks on a journey and learns of another holiday that is completely different from his world.
Edward Ivory is the main voiceover of the Thompson s 2014 20/20 winner The Nightmare Before
Christmas(Jon Reeves). Ivory is given the role of Santa, who is the man to save the day after Jack
Skellington, Chris Sarandon, decides to take over Christmas and ruins it all together (Jon Reeves).
Jack is bored of being the ruler of Halloweenland and goes off on a melancholy walk, not
realizing where he is going. He comes upon a group of doors that are for all the Holidays, and
becomes intrigued by all the different lands, this is where the disaster starts. As Jack goes along
in the story, he becomes more and more obsessed with the idea of Christmas, and begins to
destroy all that is set in order. The Nightmare Before Christmas shows why things should stay the
way they are, and why disrupting the order of things will cause chaos. In the beginning of Act I
everyone in town is happy after having completed the Halloween song. The song sets the scene for
the entire movie, showing that this town is all about the Halloween

The Evolution Of Microgrids And Different Other Components
Abstract Electricity supports almost all sectors of the economy and is a critical infrastructure in a
nation. The central grid based electricity gets considered as the most convenient and reliable form
of energy. However, it has not met the entire customer demand need for power since over 1.3
billion people cannot access electricity. Microgrids are one of the new technologies developed to
solve this problem and support emerging economies and sustainable development. This paper
describes the evolution of microgrids and different other components.

A microgrid refers to a small electricity power system that is connected to the utility grid through
the point of common coupling (PCC) and uses on site Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) for
the supply of all or part of local demands. Microgrids comprise of a low voltage (approximately
≤ 1kV) or medium voltage (range 1 69 kV) locally controlled cluster of distributed energy
resources that behave, from the grids perspective, as a single load both electrically and in energy
markets. Fig. 1 shows the interaction between the two types of electrical systems and their
corresponding components interlinked by the power converters. [4] From this figure, it can be
revealed that the AC MGs can be connected to the bulk AC system via power transformers and
require an AC/DC power converter to interconnect with the bulk DC system. Fig.1. Interconnection
of various microgrid components.[4]
A microgrid is introduced to resolve the issues with the economics and the resilience of power
delivery systems. Microgrid loads get supplied by both the utility grid and on site generation when
connected to the utility grid. A microgrid is seen as an aggregated controllable load from the utility
grid.
The microgrid structure consists of several types of distributed energy sources such as solar panels,
wind turbines, microturbin, thermal power plant each in the form of distributed generation,
including energy reserves from battery. Microgrid electrical connection points that

He has fear around losing that stability. There is a part of him that is cycling back to earlier
stages, but the logistics of his life are a huge consideration for him. Several aspects of the
interviewee s career are in congruence. Congruence is a part of Holland s (2014) theory that defines
if an individual is in an environment that fits their type. The interviewee does work in a creative
environment, he does get to observe and investigate, and the use of technology plays a role.
Also, his work does require some tedious tasks, which is one thing that was named as a strength.
Also, I could theorize that this interviewee is at a level 3 in Holland s theory. I believe this to be
true since he struggles with seeing himself making a job change. However, certain aspects of the
theorized MBTI preference would not necessarily be in congruence. The fact that he does not
feel like there is room for growth is one reason why his MBTI score might not fit well with what
he is currently doing. Krumboltz (2014) theory could be useful for this client. This theory
normalizes anxiety and emphasizes the importance of meeting the client where they are. Given the
want for change, but anxiety around changing careers this could be beneficial for the interviewee.

Analysis Of The Poem Tears Of The Giants
BASIC FACTS The oil on canvas Tears of Joy in the Garden of Giants by Michael Zancan was
created in south west France back in January of 2011. This surreal artist plunges into his fantasies
creating mystical worlds filled with vivid hues and outstanding details. A long process awaited this
particular piece. During one of his travels, the first draft got misplaced at a metro station for many
months. Filled with hope, Zancan continued his research of varying structural forms that 1900 s
dome glasshouses used in order to incorporate them into his masterpiece. Fortunately, he found
architectural inspiration within the walls of The Grand Palais in Paris. A digital paintingwas drafted
using the old sketch he had initially lost in the metro and on, December 2005 the first draft was
ready for critique. This digital prototype served as a guide for the 120 by 200 cm oil on canvas.
On to the drawing board! Fascinated by the vivid world, Zancan gave two additional coats of oil
on the art to enhance the painting s contrast before its final reveal. To this day, the original canvas
remains by romantic s side in France. Zancan is strategic, he wants to increase his popularity seeing
that, his art s value will growth along with it. In addition, high quality prints can be obtained and
purchased through his web page.

about either a sociology major named James or Jane, or an engineering major named James or Jane.
The conditions, which paragraph the student read, were randomly assigned to them but the
questions were identical and in the same order for every participant. After reading the paragraph
they were asked to rate how much they agreed with statements about the student. A 5 point Likert
scale was used, where 1 was strongly disagree and 5 was strongly agree. The statements given to
the participants were if the student had good work ethic, was naturally smart, and was going to

Four Contemporary Approaches To Management Analysis
Management is a leadership role of someone who works with resources and people to set and
achieve goals to make an organization successful. There are many different approaches to
management that a manager might use to help discover any problems and make proper decisions to
solve anything that might go wrong. When it comes to contemporary methods there are four ways
that a manager might utilize working with people, technology, resources, and the internal and
external environments. These include sociotechnical theory, quantitative management,
organizational behavior, and systems theory. Also, there are parts of an organizations internal and
external environments that may alter the effectiveness of these four contemporary approaches and
how a manager might makes decisions. To begin, using the sociotechnical theory approach to
management, a manager will recognize the interaction between technology and employees in an
internal work environment. When giving the correct knowledge, training, and tools, an employee
will effectively produce goods and services that are valued by the consumer. Ultimately, using this
type of management creates great teamwork and will give an organization a competitive advantage.
Another approach that managers might use is the quantitative management approach. It is not quite
as effective when using it alone and should be used as a supplemental tool. This approach uses
technology and mathematical models such as forecasting, simulations, and analysis and

The Fuel Of The Diesel Engine
The diesel engine has been the number one choice for power, reliable and high fuel economy
worldwide (Jääskeläinen, 2013). However, as petroleum becomes more and more expensive,
the new challenge that has been presented to todays society has been to find a sustainable way to
continue running these engines without relying on diminishing petrol supplies (Connolly, 2013).
The world has turned to biofuels; the use of biodieselcan produce power, performance and
economy, along with assisting in the reduction of emissions and Greenhouse gases. However, its
widespread use has been halted due to the ethical issues surrounding its production. The use of
agricultural land for the use of bio fuels, detriments the mass food crisis and insecurity that the
world faces. Is it really ethical to be using bio fuels to cut carbon emissions, which in turn could
lead to millions of people in Asia starving to death?
The inventor of the diesel engine, Dr. Rudolf Diesel, first conceptualised Biodiesel fuel in 1895.
He generated and demonstrated a diesel engine that used peanut oil as its main fuel source in
1900 at the Paris World Exhibition, as he viewed using vegetable oil fuel as a means to provide
economic growth in remote areas of the world due to widely available agricultural crops as the
source of the fuel (Diesel Service and Supply, 2013). In Australia, the use of bio diesel in the
transport industry has been under much debate. Bio diesel is produced through a process knows as

Doing Business in Another Country
Executive Summary
In order to successfully introduce a product into a foreign market it is important to know the culture
of the country you plan to do business in. In order to introduce mobile handsets into a market like
Venezuela, the supplier must be well acclimated with the purchasing habits, tastes, and willingness
to purchase the product that is being sold. Understanding these things starts with building a
knowledge base about the major aspects of the culture and your target consumer. With this being
said I am providing a brief overview of the country of Venezuela.

This is very intriguing for a society that has a high unemployment rate. Most of Venezuela s
population finds itself educated because public education is provided. Even though education is
free, there is an astounding 20 % of the population that has received no formal education at all.
This is outrageous because Venezuela has a compulsory educational system, which means that
people are required to by law to go to attend school for 9 years. This shows that even though
education is provided for free there are still families so poverty stricken that they are not able to
send their children to school; because they need to work to provide more support for the
families. The children that do go through the public education system can attend Universities
which are also free. Although the education in Venezuela is provided for free, this is also a
reason why the education system is not the greatest. Providing education from grade school
through college stretches educational funds thin, which results in each level of education being
under funded. It has already been established that the majority of the people of Venezuela are
literate. In this society there are jobs that require the certain skills such as a lawyers, judges,
politicians, or businessmen etc; but in the society as a whole basic skills are being seen as all that
is required for the average person. As mentioned earlier Venezuela is a society that relies heavily on

Emergency Radiology Research Paper
Do you ever wonder how radiation was discovered? Or when it was discovered? It all started in
1895, when Wilhelm Roentgen discovered x rays. Six years later, he was honored with the first
Nobel Prize in Physics; by then, doctors were already using primitive x rays to diagnose
illnesses(Men s Health watch 1). The collaboration between physicians and physicists has continued
ever since, resulting in amazing advances far beyond Roentgen s wildest dreams. Physicists tell us
that ionizing radiation delivers energy in the form of photons that pack enough oomph to strip
electrons away from the nuclei of atoms(1). We are continuously exposed to tiny amounts of
ionizing radiation from cosmic rays and naturally occurring radioactive elements here on earth. We

or when some receptors (like leptin receptors) are reduced or malfunctioning. The set point theory

Globalisation has created conditions, which contributes to the consumption of high energy
foods. In addition, the availability of cheap fast food from all around the world with the
advertising from multinationals such as McDonalds has resulted in pressures which have led to
a growth in the consumption of energy rich food among the poor. It is difficult to argue that
obesity is a social condition, which negatively affects those in low paid and short term jobs. It is
obvious to say, obesity does have a significant biomedical component. What happens inside the
body after you have eaten your Big Mac clearly requires psychological/biochemical explanation.
Thus, to conclude, there has been a combination of both social and biological factors which have
contributed to the growing cases of obesity which is putting a strain on our health budgets (ten
percent of the total NHS budget is allocated to obesity and related illnesses), creating many early
deaths, and even lowering peoples self esteems. By 2060, sixty percent of men, fifty percent of
women, and twenty five percent of children are likely to be obese. Obesity is a worldwide
epidemic which needs to be dealt with appropriately. There are many ways to tackle obesity. The
WHO s 1997 interim report argues that it is not enough to tackle obesity at individual level and
that a society wide public health approach needs to be employed. This includes better and much

There is no more worrying for Pi other than to find some land, he is now happy after such a little

If you are ever bored, try doing something that makes you happy and I bet you the time will end up

By not wanting to feel like there is no hope for his survival, Pi strived to become happy because

vehicle.
My verdict? Nissan has a formidable competitor in the Titan XD, one the manufacturer says fills the
white space between light and heavy duty trucks. In particular, instead of going up against the likes
of the Ford Super Duty and similar models from Chevrolet, Ram, and GMC, Nissan built the Titan
XD to give it enhanced towing capacity without the attendant huge price tag.
More Power, Manageable Price
The result is a powerful Crew Cab only pickup truck priced from $35,290 in base S trim, a 4x2
model with a 5.6 liter, gasoline engine. But the big news here is the availability of a turbo diesel
engine provided by Cummins, a supplier who is no stranger to the auto industry.
Cummins engines power heavy duty Ram 3500 pickups, but the engine supplied to Nissan is not ...

Oversized split towing side mirrors provide a formidable accent and come with puddle lights at
the SL level and include integrated turn signal indicators except in the base edition. Another
accent is provided by the Cummins badging affixed just fore of the front door where vent ports
typically reside. As for the belt line, it stays straight from back to front except as the front doors
meet the pillar and then they curve downward, making a unique style enhancement as well as
easier to see out the side windows. Running boards are standard on the SL edition and are a much
desirable feature for getting in and out of the

John Locke s Theory of Knowledge Essay
John Locke (1632 1704) was the first of the classical British empiricists. (Empiricists believed that
all knowledge derives from experience. These philosophers were hostile to rationalistic metaphysics,
particularly to its unbridled use of speculation, its grandiose claims, and its epistemology grounded
in innate ideas) If Locke could account of all human knowledge without making reference to innate
ideas, then his theory would be simpler, hence better, than that of Descartes. He wrote, Let us then
suppose the mindto be, as we say, white paper, void of all characters, without any ideas: How comes
it to be furnished? To his I answer, in one word, from EXPERIENCE. (Donald Palmer, p.165)
So the mind at birth is a tabula rasa, a blank ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Secondary qualities are characteristic that are often attribute to external objects, which exist only
in the mind, yet are caused by real features of external objects. Secondary qualities are colors,
sounds, and tastes.) This view of the mind has come to be known as REPRESENTATIVE
REALISM. This mean the mind represents the external world but it does not duplicate it. The
mind is something like a photograph in that there are feature of a photo that very accurately
represent the world, such as a good picture of three people and that each of them has two eyes, one
nose, and one mouth, and there are features of the photograph that belong exclusively to the photo
(its glossiness, its two dimensionality, the white border around its content). A real quality must be a
quality of a real thing and real things are substances. Once again, given anything in the world, it is
either a substance or a characteristic of a substance.)
So, having claimed that he could account for all knowledge purely in terms of experience and
having arrived at the concept that had dominated philosophy for the last several generations, Locke
proclaimed it a mystery and even joked about it. (LOOKING AT PHILOSOPHY pg.165 174).
HISTORY OF PHILOSOPHY (pg 165 186)
Locke s most important works are the Essay Concerning Human Understanding and the Two
Treatises of Government. Locke describes the development of the Essay as having been sparked by
a discussion with a

T Cell Lab Report
Human immunodeficiency virus is a retrovirus that affects the T cells specifically to the immune
system. In spite of, lowering the immunity of humans and claiming the lives of many people
around world. H.I.V replication is a multi stage process and every step is necessary to complete
its process. ( T Cell ) In step one, the entry of the virusrequires certain receptors from the host cell
such as a CD4. In addition, these receptors are composed of two glycoproteins that are embedded
in the viral envelope. ( Kestens, P. ) By approaching the target, the cells of a gp120 connects to the
CD4 receptors and the transmembrane gp41 is capable of transferring its information into the cell
membrane. Uniquely, this process creates a pathway for the virus to fuse with the host cell. When
it enters the cell it breaks open and releasing two viral RNA strands and three essential replication
enzymes.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One strand of the RNA is transcribed into a RNA DNAdouble helix, whereas the breakdown of
RNA uses ribonuclease H. Without delay, polymerase completes the cycle with the other DNA
strand to form a double helix. Soon after the complication of the polymerase the next enzymes,
integrase, takes over. This enzyme is required to cut the end of every third prime and then transfer
the DNA into the nucleus. As a result, of combining with the host cell genome that now contains
the genetic information of HIV. The cytoplasm gets invaded by the messenger RNA where new
viruses are synthesized. Protease, one of the last of the enzymes, helps create the infectious
virus. Finally, when the virus becomes mature by the RNA strands and enzymes they come
together and form the capsid. It would leave the host cell ready to infect other cells and replicate
by billions per day. ( How HIV Infects a Cell. ) Furthermore, with help of antiretroviral therapy, it
can block the steps of the viral life cycle and control the

Causes Of The Chicago Race Riot
When most people here the topic of the Chicago Race Riot they usually do not know a lot of
information about it. The Chicago Race Riot was an important part of history for the state of
Illinois and America as a country. This paper will discuss the causes of the Chicago Race Riot,
violence between Americans, and how is important to Illinois s history. The main causes of the
Chicago RaceRiot are very significant to how it all started. According to Tuttle s book, RaceRiot:
Chicago in the Red Summer of 1919 there are three main causes that all relate to the starting of
the violent outbreak. The first cause all started at 29th street beach. There at the beach, the blacks
tried to join the whites, but just the opposite happened (pp.5). The whites did everything in their
power to expel the blacks from their beach (pp.5). They did just that until the blacks came back
with reinforcement in their numbers causing the whites to leave their beach temporarily (pp.5).
This cause basically shows that ever since the blacks fought for their way out of slavery that they
were not looked at as equals. The whites still looked at themselves as superiors. They did not show
it unless one of the blacks stepped out of line. For example, the incident at the 29th street beach
when the blacks tried to swim at the white s beach. Just by how Tuttle explained that the law was
unwritten showed that whites mostly kept it not very public about their feelings until the race riot
erupted. The incident at

  • 2. Temperature Enzyme Activity The entirety of this experiment was to conclude if temperature had an effect on enzyme activity. The experiment tested the perimeters of enzyme activity and to see whether or not the temperature had an effect on the amount of substrate produced. Enzymes are especially well known for being catalyst within a reaction (Royal Society of Chemistry). A catalyst is, in this case an enzyme, which speeds up a reaction by lowering the activation energy required to start the reaction (Royal Society of Chemistry). Previous research has shown that while the temperaturerises reacting molecules have more kinetic energy. The more kinetic energy each molecule has, the greater the chance of reaching its point of highest catalytic activity (Royal Society of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Banking Fraud And The Banking Industry A banking fraud is the use of illegal means to gain money, assets from depositors or clients fraudulently while posing as a bank, agent or any other financial institution. In many countries and especially the United States, bank fraud is a criminal offense even though experts refer to it as a white collar crime due to the manner in which it is carried out. The paper below will look at the vulnerabilities that face the banking industry while using the example of Stanford Financial Group Company to show how the banking fraudcan be committed. Moreover, the paper will also look at the different frauds that can be committed in the banking sector and how the vulnerabilities can be avoided. • 4. An Examination Of Post Event Information ( Pei ) Another form of Post event information (PEI) is conformity, in the event that an individual witnesses a crime committed there is always the potential that there are co witnesses that also witnessed the crime, while an increase in witnesses may hold some positives there is the potential for conformity. Conformity takes place when one witnesses memories of a past event become more like another person s described memories of the same event (Kieckhaefer, J.M. Wright, D.B., 2015, pg. 462). Co witnesses often alter their memoryreports to coincide with other witnesses reports (Goodwin K.A. et al., 2013, pg. 91). If a co witnessis a friend or family then an individual is even more likely to conform to their views than they would be if the co witness was a stranger. Kieckhaefer and Wright also found evidence that another factor that increases a witnesses memory conformity is if the co witness is likable(Kieckhaefer, J.M. Wright, D.B., 2015, pg. 463). There have been multiple studies conducted where researchers use confederates, research helpers used to feed unknowing participants information, to determine whether or not participants will conform to the confederate s reports (Goodwin, K.A. et al., 2013, pg. 91). Furthermore, witnesses are more likely to alter their views when they are motivated to avoid deviating from the group. Therefore, if a group of other individuals pressure a witness they are likely to alter their experience to fit with others (Goodwin, K.A. et al., ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It was the Canadians willingness to forgo nationalism in the interests of efficiency and effectiveness that marked a new (Dickson 40) transition of the ending of war. Through the second battle of Ypres, the Battle of Aras, and observing the previous bloodbath at the Battle of The Somme, the Canadian Expeditionary Force (C.E.F) perfected their defense tactics and techniques to fight in the evolutionary battle that made Canadaa nation. The Germans held the higher ground and were able to fire into the allied trenches from the north, the south and the east, but the Allies prearranged defense strategies: On the Canadian right was the British Expeditionary Force, and on their left was the 48th Algerian and 87th Territoral French, which were militia regiment enlisted into service a French division.3 On April 22 the Germans sought to remove the Salient by introducing a new weapon of modern warfare poison gas. • 7. Physical Evidence Collected At A Crime Scene Physical evidence collected at a crime scene provides much needed information for a criminal investigator to build his or her case. Since the inception of the Innocence Project in 1992, more than 300 wrongfully convicted people have been exonerated after DNA testing established that the crime for which he or she had been convicted was committed by another (Innocenceproject.org, n.d.). Advances in forensic science makes possible the means to individualize other items of evidence that point to the person or persons responsible for a crime. Dr. Edmond Locard formulated the principle that is the foundation of forensic science: Every interaction leaves a trace. A drop of sweat or a flaked off skin cell could be all that is needed to corroborate a defendant s presence during the commission of a crime. Origins and History The earliest documented example of doctors making the connection between cause of death and crime can be found in a book titled HsiDuan Yu ( The Washing Away of Wrongs ) that dates back to 1248. In this book, doctors describe establishing a case of drowning by the presence of water in a subject s lungs and identifying a death by strangulation through observing the characteristic ligature marks on the throat and crushed cartilage in the neck (Nickell Fischer, 2014, p. 6). This same book recounts a case in which insect activity was used to solve a murder: in 1235, a victim was murdered by hacking, and Tzu ordered the men in the village to put their ... • 8. Analysis Of Kate Chopin s A Respectable Woman Carson Chauncey ENC 1102 Martinez April 15, 2016 Many things one does or does not do in life are based on perception; our perception of someone, their perception of us, and even our perception of ourselves. John Moore says, your opinion is your opinion, your perception is your perception do not confuse them with facts or truth. Wars have been fought and millions have been killed because of the inability of men to understand the idea that everybody has a different viewpoint (Quotations for Martial Artists, John Moore, p 1). In Kate Chopin s A Respectable Woman, perception is a major theme; for example, Mrs. Baroda s perception of her husband s friend, Gouvernail, shifts drastically throughout the short story. Chopin s main theme of perception is displayed well because of her use of literary devices such as imagery, setting and dialogue; through these devices, Chopin reveals Mrs. Baroda s feelings and thoughts, based on the way she perceives Gouvernail before, during and after meeting him for the first time; this paper will discuss the literary devices and how Kate Chopin uses them to portray themes of freedom, identity, desire, as well as perception. In the beginning of the story, Chopin uses description in order to form Mrs. Baroda s initial perception of Gouvernail when she finds out her husband had invited him to spend a few weeks on their plantation; Mrs. Baroda was less than pleased to discover his arrival. Effects Of Stress In France Comcomlecom Stress in the Workplace My reaction to the situation with France Telecom is that it is a tragedy, no organization should be ok with any of their employees being stressed to the point of wanting to kill themselves. Which reminded me of our previous discussion about job satisfaction. I don t think any job is worth the stressthat the employees of France Telecom had to endure, no matter how much money the employees are making. I also thought, this is an important public/global health issue that needs to be addressed. What went wrong at France Telecom? I believe there are more factors to consider than what was included in this case, but with the information given, the internal factors were mainly poor management, such as the chairman Didier Lombard. According to BBC news, Mr. Lombard announced plans to cut 22,000 jobs and move another 14,000 workers, as France Telecom pushed for greater efficiency in the wake of privatization, two years earlier. (N/A, 2016) This was the main contributor to the extremely high levels of stress the employees were under. When deciding to make changes in the organization, the company was using psychological pressure and pathogenic restructuring that caused the employees immense stress and the feeling of insecurity in the face of globalization. They felt insignificant to the company and the way they were pressured and treated created huge role conflict and overload. THE MESSAGE OF FALSE RELIGION There are so many sects, cults, religions, philosophies, and movements in the world, all of which claim to be the right way or the only true path to Allah. How can one determine which one is correct or if, in fact, all are correct? The method by which the answer can be found is to clear away the superficial differences in the teachings of the various claimants to the ultimate truth, and identify the central object of worship to which they call, directly or indirectly. False religions all have in common one basic concept with regards to Allah. They either claim that all men are gods or that specific men were Allah or that nature is Allah or that Allah is a figment of man s imagination. Thus, it may be stated that the basic message of false religion is that Allah may be worshipped in the form of His creation. False religion invites man to the worship of creation by calling the creation or some aspect of it God. For example, prophet Jesus invited his followers to worship Allah but those who claim to be his followers today call people to worship Jesus, claiming that he was Allah! She addresses certain expectations that he should be aware of. Even so, he is reluctant to be on a diplomatic duty with his father. This called her to the attention that she has to advise him. That advisement came in the form of motherly guidance. Adams, as a woman who is exceedingly bright and different from those of her time, believes that only the hard working will be successful. Nonetheless, from a variety of methods that have come and gone, one has been adopted as pioneer, which is the Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) approach. Nowadays, in fact, Communicative Language Teaching is one of the most common teaching methods adopted by teachers of second and foreign languages all over the world. Its origin can be found in the late 1960s early 1970s in the British academic system, which was undergoing a serious of changes that reflected, none other than, the changes that were occurring in society. On the other hand, American linguists, based on Chomsky s language acquisition theory and concept of linguistic competence, started rejecting the Oral Approach. This was the contingent cause for a shift in Britain s language teaching method, SLT. In fact, also Britain s linguists began questioning SLT s practical and theoretical foundations. Therefore, both Chomsky s studies as well as the criticality British linguists had towards the more traditional methodologies led to the advent of the Communicative Language Teaching approach. This approach was very advanced for the time. It revolutionised the strategies of language learning and also changed the role of the language teachers as well as the language learners. In contrast with some of the methodologies previously adopted, its main goal is to teach the scholars the ability to communicate. Thereby, Communicative Language Teaching bases itself upon the concept of language competence, which is considered the actual basis of proficiency in a language. Hence, teaching activities involve students in real life communicative situations in which the communicative task is of more importance than the grammatical accuracy. Other exercises such as games, songs, problem solving and role plays also are used in classrooms. • 26. Analysis Of The Nightmare Before Christmas Around the world, people know of holidays like St. Patrick s Day, Valentine s day, or Christmas. However, there is a magical place where not everyone knows of such things, they just know what is around them. Screenwriter Caroline Thompson allows for others to see a new look at how the holidays are in their world. For example, Thompson describes how a scary skeleton embarks on a journey and learns of another holiday that is completely different from his world. Edward Ivory is the main voiceover of the Thompson s 2014 20/20 winner The Nightmare Before Christmas(Jon Reeves). Ivory is given the role of Santa, who is the man to save the day after Jack Skellington, Chris Sarandon, decides to take over Christmas and ruins it all together (Jon Reeves). Jack is bored of being the ruler of Halloweenland and goes off on a melancholy walk, not realizing where he is going. He comes upon a group of doors that are for all the Holidays, and becomes intrigued by all the different lands, this is where the disaster starts. As Jack goes along in the story, he becomes more and more obsessed with the idea of Christmas, and begins to destroy all that is set in order. The Nightmare Before Christmas shows why things should stay the way they are, and why disrupting the order of things will cause chaos. The central grid based electricity gets considered as the most convenient and reliable form of energy. However, it has not met the entire customer demand need for power since over 1.3 billion people cannot access electricity. Microgrids are one of the new technologies developed to solve this problem and support emerging economies and sustainable development. A microgrid refers to a small electricity power system that is connected to the utility grid through the point of common coupling (PCC) and uses on site Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) for the supply of all or part of local demands. Microgrids comprise of a low voltage (approximately ≤ 1kV) or medium voltage (range 1 69 kV) locally controlled cluster of distributed energy resources that behave, from the grids perspective, as a single load both electrically and in energy markets. Fig. 1 shows the interaction between the two types of electrical systems and their corresponding components interlinked by the power converters. [4] From this figure, it can be revealed that the AC MGs can be connected to the bulk AC system via power transformers and require an AC/DC power converter to interconnect with the bulk DC system. Fig.1. Interconnection of various microgrid components.[4] A microgrid is introduced to resolve the issues with the economics and the resilience of power delivery systems. Microgrid loads get supplied by both the utility grid and on site generation when connected to the utility grid. A microgrid is seen as an aggregated controllable load from the utility grid. The microgrid structure consists of several types of distributed energy sources such as solar panels, wind turbines, microturbin, thermal power plant each in the form of distributed generation, including energy reserves from battery. During one of his travels, the first draft got misplaced at a metro station for many months. Filled with hope, Zancan continued his research of varying structural forms that 1900 s dome glasshouses used in order to incorporate them into his masterpiece. There are many different approaches to management that a manager might use to help discover any problems and make proper decisions to solve anything that might go wrong. When it comes to contemporary methods there are four ways that a manager might utilize working with people, technology, resources, and the internal and external environments. These include sociotechnical theory, quantitative management, organizational behavior, and systems theory. Also, there are parts of an organizations internal and external environments that may alter the effectiveness of these four contemporary approaches and how a manager might makes decisions. To begin, using the sociotechnical theory approach to management, a manager will recognize the interaction between technology and employees in an internal work environment. When giving the correct knowledge, training, and tools, an employee will effectively produce goods and services that are valued by the consumer. Ultimately, using this type of management creates great teamwork and will give an organization a competitive advantage. Another approach that managers might use is the quantitative management approach. It is not quite as effective when using it alone and should be used as a supplemental tool. This approach uses technology and mathematical models such as forecasting, simulations, and analysis and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

However, as petroleum becomes more and more expensive, the new challenge that has been presented to todays society has been to find a sustainable way to continue running these engines without relying on diminishing petrol supplies (Connolly, 2013). The world has turned to biofuels; the use of biodieselcan produce power, performance and economy, along with assisting in the reduction of emissions and Greenhouse gases. However, its widespread use has been halted due to the ethical issues surrounding its production. The use of agricultural land for the use of bio fuels, detriments the mass food crisis and insecurity that the world faces. Is it really ethical to be using bio fuels to cut carbon emissions, which in turn could lead to millions of people in Asia starving to death? The inventor of the diesel engine, Dr. Rudolf Diesel, first conceptualised Biodiesel fuel in 1895. He generated and demonstrated a diesel engine that used peanut oil as its main fuel source in 1900 at the Paris World Exhibition, as he viewed using vegetable oil fuel as a means to provide economic growth in remote areas of the world due to widely available agricultural crops as the source of the fuel (Diesel Service and Supply, 2013). Understanding these things starts with building a knowledge base about the major aspects of the culture and your target consumer. Most of Venezuela s population finds itself educated because public education is provided. Even though education is free, there is an astounding 20 % of the population that has received no formal education at all. This is outrageous because Venezuela has a compulsory educational system, which means that people are required to by law to go to attend school for 9 years. This shows that even though education is provided for free there are still families so poverty stricken that they are not able to send their children to school; because they need to work to provide more support for the families. The children that do go through the public education system can attend Universities which are also free. Although the education in Venezuela is provided for free, this is also a reason why the education system is not the greatest. Providing education from grade school through college stretches educational funds thin, which results in each level of education being under funded. It has already been established that the majority of the people of Venezuela are literate.
