Essay Nature
Crafting an essay on the broad and intricate subject of "Nature" can be a formidable task. The
sheer vastness and complexity of the topic present both a challenge and an opportunity for
exploration. Nature, with its multifaceted dimensions, encompasses everything from the intricate
ecosystems and biodiversity to the philosophical reflections on humanity's relationship with the
natural world.
The difficulty lies in striking a balance between scientific accuracy and poetic contemplation.
One must navigate through the scientific intricacies of ecosystems, climate patterns, and the
delicate balance of flora and fauna. Simultaneously, the writer is challenged to capture the
essence of nature's beauty, its power to inspire awe, and its role in shaping human consciousness.
Moreover, the concept of nature extends beyond the physical realm. It delves into the realms of
philosophy, ethics, and spirituality. The essayist must grapple with questions about humanity's
responsibility towards nature, the ethical considerations surrounding environmental stewardship,
and the profound impact of nature on the human psyche.
The challenge intensifies when attempting to avoid clichГ©s and tired expressions that often
accompany discussions about nature. Striking a balance between providing fresh perspectives
and acknowledging the timeless allure of nature can be a delicate feat.
In essence, composing an essay on nature requires a nuanced understanding of various
disciplines, from science to philosophy, coupled with the ability to articulate these insights in a
coherent and engaging manner. The writer must seamlessly weave together facts, reflections, and
perhaps a touch of artistic flair to convey the richness and depth of the subject.
For those who find themselves grappling with the intricacies of such a topic, it might be
worthwhile to seek assistance. Resources like HelpWriting.net can offer valuable support and
guidance. These platforms connect individuals with experienced writers capable of delivering
well-researched and articulate essays on a wide array of subjects, including those as challenging
as the multifaceted concept of nature.

Reflection Paper On A Material Library
On Friday October 20, 2017, I visited Interspace Limited, an interior design firm that
specializes in commercial interiors. Interspace Limited focuses on furniture
specifications, production and project management, team work, scheduling, and
budgeting to ensure that the clients needs are supported and granted. Furniture and
material finishes are their specialty so they are always update with current trends,
manufacture representatives, and business connections. During my firm visit, I
meet with the owner, Darlene Huffman, who kindly showed me around the firm
and materials library. Before and after the materials library, I took advantage of
making new connections and asking personal questions about the firm s unique
project process and internship opportunities. During my time within their materials
library, I asked a series of questions to understand the importance of Interspace
Limited s materials. How is there material library organized? How often do they
utilize the material lab? How do you use the material lab? At what point in the
project do they begin to think about materials and why? How do you stay informed
of material trends? What are some of your favorite manufactures and why? And
mostly importantly, what is a local interior space you think expresses good
applications and use of materials? Starting with the questions how is the materials
organized and how often do they utilize the materials library? The materials library is
composed of two rooms organized
The Light at the End of Hell
The Light at the End of Hell
It so happens that everyday people quit their jobs, quit school, leave their families,
or sadly end their lives. People tend to give up on dreams as soon as someone
closes the door on them which leaves them with no hope. What one has done over
the years, all the work and sweat, the sacrifices that person has made are gone in an
instant because he can no longer endure the pain. People face challenges and
sometimes hardships, but all of this is a part of life. One nags and bitches about how
bad their life is but never takes the time to think about the great outcome that may
occur once they get through the suffering. People believe that they are the victims and
they will never get anywhere because of all the ... Show more content on

Without suffering and pain, life would not mean anything. One would live in a
perfect world with a perfect family and in perfect harmony. Life would be
meaningless if the world were a utopia. There would not be balance between good
and bad and it would not be worth to live since there would be no challenges or
fears.de Botton gives us a quote explaining what one would face if they chose the
easy way out of tough times and what they would face in the end. He says:
What if pleasure and displeasure were so tied together that whoever wanted to
have as much as possible of one must also have as much as possible of the other...
you have the choice: either as little pleasure as possible, painless in brief...or as much
displeasure as possible as the price for the growth of an abundance of subtle pleasures
and joys that have rarely been released yet? If you decide for the former and desire to
diminish and lower the level of human pain, you also have to diminish and lower the
level of their capacity for joy (215).
Pleasure and difficulties are tied together and they work like a scale. On one side,
we have pleasure and on the other difficulties. If one cheats in life and has too
many pleasures, one will suffer hardships. However if one faces the hardships and
goes through difficulties in order to be successful, one will be happy in the end.
People end their joys if they choose to cheat and take the short cuts. It is important
for people to understand why
The Anatomy Of The Anthropology Department That I
Found
My name is Sean Keefe and I am an intern for the recently deceased Harvey
Manfrenjensenjen. While sorting through samples I came across 6 hominin skulls
that lack analysis. In this project, I am going to explain and talk about the six skulls
in the Anthropology Department that I found. To do this, I will use what I have
learned in lecture, as well as numerous outside sources to describe three defining
characteristics for each skull. Additionally, I will provide necessary information about
each skull if needed. After that, I will put the fossil samples in evolutionary order
form the oldest to the youngest. Lastly, I will include a family tree that shows age
comparison and ancestral relationships between the homonids. The first skull that I
observed in the Anthropology Department belongs to Australopithecusrobustus.
Australopithecus robustus was first named by the eminent Dr. Robert Broom. The A.
robustus leftovers generally come from three different sites: Swartkrans (largest),
Dreimulen, and Kromdraai. One of the major problems with these South African
sites is dating, but generally, robustus remains can be safely placed from 2.0 1.0
myr, and possibly even earlier. Australopithecus robustus has many features that are
specifically distinct to A. robustus. This skull has very thick jaws; small incisors,
canines, large, molar like premolars and very large molars. The height of
Australopithecus robustus is between 1.1 1.3 meters, and the weight is between 40

Case Study of Terrorism Essay
On September 11, 2001, the United States (U.S.) experienced an act of overt
terrorism unparalleled in its history. The extremist terrorist group, al Qaeda,
attacked the U.S and briefly paralyzed a nation. This was a physical attack on the
US, but in retrospect, a global attack on democracy. The U.S. and its coalition
partners came to the realization that this act of terrorism was potentially a precursor
to an asymmetric warfare campaign that had global impact. After carefully analyzing
the magnitude of this event, the U.S. realized this could not be a unilateral effort; it
had to seek support from its partners in countering terror campaigns worldwide. In
support of the U.S. efforts, the Air Force (AF) should build partnership... Show more

Based on the make up of the Air Command and Staff College (ACSC), a resident
program located at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama, it will
represent the AF PME School during this analysis. ACSC is an intermediate level
PME School for U.S. and international military personnel. Air National Guard
(ANG) personnel attend ACSC, with very few, if any, Army NG personnel.
Therefore, this study will only focus on the use of ANG personnel. After completing
ACSC, U.S. military forces possess the skills and knowledge to fill squadron
commander positions and operational staff level jobs supporting Combatant
Commanders, Joint Staff, Air Staff, and senior level interagency officials. According
to Brigadier General Jimmie Jackson, Jr., then ACSC Commandant, he testified to
Congress on June 25, 2009 that since 1946 approximately 2,500 IO s from 92
nations graduated from the college and later became Chiefs of Staff, Heads of State,
Ministers, Ambassadors, or members of Parliament . Because many of these IO s
become prominent figures in their government, it s possible that information shared
and relationships cultivated while attending ACSC could help influence their views
about the U.S. In Phase I, as part of its initial indoctrination process, ACSC should

A Brief Look at Pink Floyd
Pink Floyd, an English psychedelic rock band founded in 1965, was originally made
up of construction students Syd Barrett, Roger Waters, Nick Mason, and Richard
Wright. They originally started performing in London s underground scene in the late
60s, and under Syd Barrett s creative leadership they released two charting singles
and a successful debut album.
In December 1967, the group added David Gilmour as the band s fifth member
following the mental breakdown of Syd Barrett during their support of Jimi Hendrix
during a tour of England. Eventually, Syd Barrett was moved to a nonperforming
role, only writing songs and nothing else. This stopped when a mixture of Syd s
unpredictable behavior at the time and idiosyncratic sense of humor occurred and
created a song that, initially, seeming like an ordinary Barrett tune. However, as the
others attempted to join in and learn the song, Barrett changed the melodies and
structure, making it impossible for the others to learn. The song was, fittingly
enough, named Have You Got It Yet?
Barrett eventually totally left the band, leaving only 3 of the original members. After
this, the band released 8 other studio albums, and grew immensely popular thanks to
Roger Waters ideas. However, Waters eventually became greatly annoyed with the
fame, and even went to the point of spitting in the face of some particularly annoying
fans during a concert in Montreal.

Britney Spears Case Summary

Even as a friend of the family, Dr. Phil didn t have the right to visit Britney at the
hospital without her consent and permission to see her and walk into her room. As a
patient at the Cedar Sinai hospital, Britney was entitled to her privacy rights provided
by the state. It was the obligation of the hospital to ensure that no uninvited visitors
were allowed in her chambers. Britney had already been discharged from the
facility and was packing to leave when Dr. Phil walked in while she was still
parking. The hospital should never have let Dr. Phil in to see her since she had
already been discharged and was on her way out, hence, no guests were allowed
(Moskop et al., 2005). The hospital had the obligation of ensuring that the only
visitors who saw the patient were those acceptable by the patient to ensure that
visitors such as journalists didn t have access to the patient that would jeopardize her
rights of privacy and confidentiality.
Dr. Phil didn t have the right to make the comments he did. Just because Britney

Quotes In An Inspector Calls
An Inspector Calls is set in the 1912 although it was written during 1945. It is
based upon an apparent suicide of a girl called Eva Smith. The reasons for her
death are revealed to the audience through a sequence of events that happened
before she died. The people who contributed to her death are the members of the
capitalist Birling family. The main reason for Inspector s appearance in the play s to
reveal the truth not only about the crime but also to make The Birlings feel collective
responsibility for actions or inactions that led to Eva s death.
Priestley presents The Inspector to the audience as a social activist. His main aim
is to teach the Birlings about the insignificance of money and power when it comes
being a part of a society. He believes they live in a bubble of capitalism ; oblivious
to reality. We are members of one body is a powerful phrase used by the Inspector to
knock some sense into The Birlings, teaching them the importance of community.
The Inspector uses personal pronouns very often. For instance: We suggests that he is
talking on behalf of everyman and not just an individual. It also shows that along
with him, everyone else is part of one society. This pronoun also means that they are
all inter connected, no matter what they think and which social class they belong to.

One opinion or action could affect someone else, even if, it may have or might have
not been intentional. One body is a metaphor for society, in which everybody is a
member and holds great importance and significance to the community. Body noun
in this context means that society is just like a human body, where each and every
part is essential and connected to one another. Without one part all the other parts
cannot function properly, likewise a society needs everyone for it to operate.
Similarly a society is a metaphorical place where everyone is
Similarities Between Kojiki And Greek Mythology
Similar myths and legends have been coexisting throughout the world, regardless
of eastern and western cultures, and in different languages. Greek myth is
probably the world s most famous and beloved than any other tale of legends
stories. Surprisingly, Greek myth and Japanese myth share many similarities in the
creation of the world and legend stories through their mythologies. Japan s Kojiki
(Record of Ancient Matters) is a collection of Japanese historical records as well as
Japanese mythologies, in which the legend explains the creation of the world and
birth of deities. However, Greek mythologies, on the other hand, do not have an
official written record of mythologies or religious text like the Bible or the Kojiki,
but earliest story teller like Homer and Hesiod shared richest sources in poems,
attempt to explain the beginning of the universe in human language.
Both Kojiki and Greek mythologies describe common belief in the creation of the
world, in which gods give birth to another to form the world. In Kojiki, two of the
seven gods who came into existence, Izanagi and Izanami give birth to many nature
deities, creating the world. But because Izanami gives birth to too many deities,
she dies while giving birth to the fire deity. In result of her death, enraged Izanagi
kills the fire deity. In contrast, Greek myth describes the creation of the world with
the four gods who came to existences, Gaea (earth) Chaos, Tartarus (Hell), and then
Eros. Gaea asexually gives birth to Uranus (Sky) and marries her son. She then
bears three types of gods; the Titans, the Cyclopes, and the Hecathonchires.
However, Uranus repels at the monstrous creatures and sends Cyclopes and
Hecatonchires down to Tartarus (Hell). Frustrated by Uranus s action, Gaea forges
the first sickle, gives it to her youngest son Cronos, and have him punish his father,
Uranus. Once Uranus returns to make love to Gaea, Cronos emasculates him. Here
we see the similarities in the creation of the world by birth and death of God by the
hands of another god with fury.
Another similarity can be spotted on the death of the loved ones, in which the god
or a hero is visiting the world of the dead to meet their wives. In Kojiki, after the
death of
My Writing Story At The Young Age Of Eight
My writing story begins at the young age of eight. I can still remember learning
cursive in third grade, and although I could not tell you my teacher s name, I
remember her patience in teaching us the uppercase and lowercase letters on an
overhead projector. It was exciting and new, and built the foundation for my love of
writing, and to this day I write exclusively in cursive. Following the excitement of
cursive came my love for journaling. Still today, I find great joy and peace in
writing in my journal. I love to go back and read the princess diary I maintained in
elementary or the journal I kept so faithfully as my dad fought for his life in an
Intensive Care Unit just a few years ago. I believe that beautiful writing is not
about the words we use, but the emotions we conjure. I consider myself to be an
expressive writer, because I have come to know that I express myself far better in
writing than I ever could aloud. While I do enjoy a good research paper, I have
found that I only succeed in my goals when I write my thoughts and feelings on
subjects that I am deeply passionate about. While some days, I am the writer who
spends two days editing and reediting an Instagram caption, searching for that
perfect pun. I aim for perfection in everything I do, but as Brian Jackson teaches in
his book, Mindful Writing, perfection is never truly reached. I came to realize the
writer I am my sophomore year of high school. As I mentioned earlier, the most

Life After Death Essay
Life After Death
The Romans, Greeks and Egyptians all share many common beliefs such as the belief
in the Gods, spirits, souls and ultimately life after death. Although, these cultures
share common beliefs, there are still very different ideas and ways in which they
related and communicated with the dead. The Egyptians believed the idea of eternal
and actual death was incomprehensible. As for the Greeks and Romans, they also
share a similar view of what life is like after death, because they believed death was
seen as nothingness . To all of these cultures death was just a mere interruption of
life and not the actual end of a life. The Egyptians lived a similar life to those of the
Roman and Greek cultures in that they believed ... Show more content on

The physical bodies of the dead were preserved with oils and wrapped in long strips
of linen and placed within coffins and shrines. The Egyptians, Romans and Greeks
believed the dead have to be buried in a particular way in order for their souls and
spirits to rise and come back to life. Their belief was that if the dead were not buried
properly their souls would be looked upon in a bad way.
The Egyptians believed after leaving the earth as a human being the dead crossed a
threshold of death into a beautiful place or afterlife. Their idea of the location or
place where the dead lived after leaving earth was similar to that of the Greeks and
Romans. Although, the names and meanings of the place where the dead were
housed was different, they were still very much like that of the Greeks and Romans
underworld . The Egyptians believed the dead should be buried with all their
materialistic possessions, so they may enjoy eternal life even after their death. They
thought the dead should not only be buried with their materialistic goods but
drinking vessels and dishes for food and earthly riches that surrounded them in the
kingdom of the dead. The Greeks and Romans were able to directly communicate
with the dead after conducting certain rituals or tasks. These rituals allowed them to
see the dead and speak with them as though they were
The Affects of Methamphetamines
Sometimes people forget that methamphetamine hurts not only individuals, but
families, neighborhoods and entire communities as well. You might not be using
methamphetamine or know anyone who is but that doesn t mean it s not having
an effect on you. A methamphetamine lab can operate unnoticed in a neighborhood
for years, causing serious health hazards to everyone around. The problems with
meth are widespread. Children and the general public may be affected by the
fumes from meth labs operating in or near their homes. The prison system is
overwhelmed by the needs of incarcerated meth users. Hospital emergency
departments (ED) report that meth is a significant drug problem. The cost of meth
labs to society is large. A study done by the University of Arkansas found the cost
to prevent abuse in one county to be around $20 million. Although many measures
have been placed, abuse has been steadily increasing. In 2003, there was a 68%
increase in workers who tested positive. Surprisingly, over 70% of users are
actively employed. In particular, the lab problem is growing significantly in the
Midwest and Mid Atlantic areas since they migrated from California in the early
80s. The popular meth production method known as the shake and bake liter bottle
method results in serious burns. To prevent seizures by officers, meth labs are
frequently guarded by attack dogs. Many labs are found in secluded areas and hikers
and campers have been shot after accidentally coming across them.

Astrology And Greek Mythology
. Whether astrology is accepted as true has yet to be determined. For centuries,
astrology has been used to provide a deeper understanding of nature and identity.
Astrology originates from Babylon developing from the belief that the heavens ruled
man s fate. The Babylonians were the first to apply myths to constellations and
astrology. The Egyptians refined the Babylonian system of astrology and the Greeks
shaped it into its modern form. It was through studyings of Plato, Aristotle and others
that Babylonian astrology was introduced to the Greeks in the 4th century B.C.. The

Analysis Of Unforgiven
Unforgiven is a 1992 Western film which was produced, directed, and starred by
Clint Eastwood. The adventure of William Munny, a vicious murderer in the past
who has killed innocent women and children, started when The Schofield Kid
approached Munny in his farm and asked him if he wanted to help in killing two
of the cowboys who slashed one of the prostitutes just because the woman giggled
at one of the cowboy s tiny pecker. However, Little Bill Daggett, the sheriff, just
fined the two cowboys with six horses to be given to the saloon keeper instead of
arresting and beating them up; this nonchalant response of the sheriff outraged the
other prostitutes. The girls pooled all of their savings, which amounted to $1,000,
and used that money as a reward to anybody who would kill the two cowboys who
slashed up their friend. The film was unique because of the way Clint Eastwood
presented violence and killing in an interesting way and in a new light wherein the
line between good and evil was a little blurred. The thought provoking title of the
film also added a unique touch to this film. The form of violence in the film was
presented in different ways some are subtle, but some are more obvious. The way
that the prostitutes offered bounty for the death of the two cowboys serves as a silent
form of violence and protest, which represents the hatred that they feel because they
are belittled and mistreated by the people just because they are prostitutes: Just
because we let them

What Is Doublethink In 1984
In George Orwell s novel 1984, the party who rules the society uses different
methods to control their citizens and strengthen their own power. By comparing
with the modern American society, we can see similarities. This essay will contrast
the two societies within the subjects of doublethink, surveillance and the governing
of the people. Doublethink is a method and an act that is being used by the party
and the American government to make the citizens simultaneously accept two
contradictory beliefs as correct at the same time. Surveillance is used as the eye
over the population. In 1984 it is Big Brother who sees and hears every step you
take, while in America it is the National Security Agency (NSA). By controlling the
people with lies and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It focuses the hatred and rage of the people away from Big Brother and towards the
enemy as well as providing excuses for the second rate life of the citizens. Oceania
is and has always been at war with Eurasia but during Hate Week, the enemy
changes to Eastasia. The party immediately disregard all of the evidence showing
that Oceania has been at war with Eurasia. Doublethink causes the people to hold
and then accept the false idea that they had always been at war with Eastasia, even
though material proof contradicts this idea. This is very significant because if the
inhabitants were allowed to notice the change in war, they may have began to
question it. The party uses doublethink to focus the people s anger outwards
instead of inwards against their leadership. A modern act of doublethink in
America, which could be compared to Oceania s, is when Barack Obama in 2009
accepted the Nobel Peace Prize as he was simultaneously involved in two wars. One
in Afghanistan and one undeclared in Pakistan. As in 1984 you could say that the
anger was focused on the enemy instead of his and the governments leadership.
America, the world s savior, has a habit of as they please keeping the peace in
foreign lands. They send their armed troops into these lands, threatening to kill
anyone who goes against the interests of democracy. (Landler,
Overview Program Evaluation Essay
Overview of Program Evaluation

Overview of Program Evaluation
Program evaluation is a useful resource to evaluate programs that are currently an
organization or an industry is making good use of. Evaluating programs not only
bring out the strengths and weaknesses but also identifies the picture of the plans
implemented. The purpose of this paper is to examine the purpose for program
evaluation and why it can be useful to an organization. This paper will speak of the
five most common types of program evaluation models and will select one program
evaluation model to describe from week one s reading.
Purpose for program evaluation
There is only one overall purpose for program evaluation activities: ... Show more

Each of the models discussed includes emphases that are valid aspects of program
evaluation. One value of thinking about models lies in developing an appreciation
of the range of questions evaluators can consider. The specific questions being
addressed by an evaluation or the specific aspects of the program setting often make
one or another of the models especially useful (Posavac amp; Carey, 2007, p.23 25).
The models: The traditional model, Social Science model, Industrial Inspection
model, Black Box Evaluation, and Objectives Based Evaluation model, are very
common and helpful in different types of organizations and environment. The model
that is very interesting to use and describe is the Objective Based Evaluation model.
Objectives Based Evaluation
In an effort to design an evaluation for a specific program, some approaches
emphasize working with clearly stated program goals and objectives so that the
degree to which such goals and objectives are achieved can be measured. This has
been the most prevalent model used for program evaluation. Examining goals and
objectives seems to be an essential aspect of evaluation; it is important to judge a
program relative to its particular structure and what it is designed to achieve
(Posavac amp; Carey, 2007, p.23 25). It is very important for organizations to clearly
and closely examine their

Israel The Presidential Brief
The Current Situation In Israel And Palestine
Israel is in a situation unlike any other country around the world.
Israel has been fighting for its survival since it became a country in 1948. It is
surrounded by hostile nations that want to destroy or at least diminish it.
There is tremendous tension between the Palestine Liberation Members and Israeli
officials and citizens. There have been peaceful rallies and bloody bus bombings.
People in Israel today are unsure about preceding with peace negotiations or standing

What has made the conflict so bitter and emotional is the fact that the land being
fought over was sacred to both sides.
For Jews, the establishment of the state of Israel represented a return to their biblical
homeland after 2,000 years of exile and persecution, and the near extinction of the
Jewish people in the Nazi Holocaust of WWII. For
Palestinians, who had lived in the area they had called Palestine for 1,000 years, the
land was also a spiritual home for their Islamic religion.
Since 1979, there has been a movement towards peace in the middle east.
After engaging in many armed conflicts between their two countries over the years,
Israeli President Menachem Begin and Egyptian President Anwar el Sadat signed an
unprecedented peace treaty at Camp David, Maryland in 1979. Israel agreed to
return the Sinai Peninsula to Egypt in exchange for recognition as a country and an
agreement for peace between the two nations. This was called the
Camp David Agreement and it was signed with the aid of the United States
President Jimmy Carter.
Palestinians living under Israeli occupation in lands captured by Israel during several
wars, however, were not affected by the Camp David Agreement.
They remained very frustrated by what they considered Israeli occupation and started

Cash On Delivery Analysis
Although the use of a surrogate can provide a solution, there are some negatives to
consider. One thing to consider is the condition that the surrogate endures to
provide life for a family struggling to do it on their own naturally. The mothers that
have the babies are referred to as Rent a Womb mothers in the article Cash on
Delivery by Scott Carney. The women having the babies are like workers in a baby

Cosmos Of Fire
The reflection of the uncreated in the created necessarily presents itself under
diverse aspects, and even under an indefinite variety of aspects, each of which has

The everliving fire centered in itself beyond all worlds lies at the heart of all
worlds from it flow all movement, all life, all knowledge. It is the Eternal: that
which never sets , that which at the end of each world age destroys the old and
kindles the new. It may be truthfully called by other names such as Zeus, justice,
wisdom, logos. It is both willing and unwilling to be so called. Willing in that such
names reflect qualities in its nature: unwilling in that in essence it lies beyond all
such qualities. This divine fire forges into existence the structured cosmos. The
cosmos is imaged by the Homeric warrior to himself as a sphere. Across the

you basically assign your performing rights to the PRS. There is a small criteria to

The Monster By Walter Dean Myers
Monster The idea of what a monster is and how it pertains to modern day society

aware of what a monster is and the function it served in today s society.
Furthermore, after taking this class, I am now aware of what a monster truly is,
and what really separates a monster from a regular person. The piece of text that I
mainly chose to focus on and elaborate closely to demonstrate the aspects of a
monster is appropriately named, Monster, by Walter Dean Myers. The reason I
chose this piece of literature is because, Monster thoroughly elaborates what a
monster is in todays society and how it functions in the modern day world. In this

to his lawyer, Mrs. O Brien. Mrs. O Brien is smart enough to realize that even
though Steve may be innocent, this is not enough. Since this is the American judicial
system, Steve is at a disadvantage. Since this is America, and attitudes towards
African Americans have been prejudiced since our founding, it is unlikely that Steve
will win. Before Steve is even put on trial, the jury automatically thinks he is guilty
without knowing the virtue of his character. Steve is seen as different because of his
reputation as a New York gang banger and his racein the eyes of the system which is
dominated by white people, including the judge and the lawyers. American law states
that a defendant is innocent until proven guilty. This is how the law should be
obeyed, however, O Brien is telling Steve that his circumstances are different. This
makes Steve wonder why his trial is different and O Brien bluntly tells him that he is
not innocent until proven guilty, he is guilty until proven innocent, because of his
race. Although Steve does not exhibit a ghastly appearance like a traditional monster,
he is still unaccepted because of a mainly white society s reaction to his appearance.

has to escape the limitations that has been created for him. He manages to escape
the actors, creator, and the events that work in one to keep him isolated from the

present, particularly where there has been some reduction in the overhead canopy
of dominant trees. The apple will fall from the tree and decompose on the ground

Bohr s model, sometimes referred to as the planetary model, was able to provide
explanation for concepts that were previously indescribable. Working off
Rutherford s previous work, Bohr was able to successfully explain the spectrum of
the hydrogen atom. While Rutherford s model focused mainly on the nucleus, Bohr
paid greater attention to electrons. The previous model of the atom stated an
electron was an orbiting planet. The problem in this flawed model was that the
electron, moving in a circular path, would be accelerating. Acceleration would create
a change in magnetic field, which would in turn carry energy away from the
nucleus. The electron would eventually slow and be captured by the nucleus. Bohr s
model expanded upon Rutherford s and solved many flaws of the previous model
The Bohr Diagram, ). Bohr discovered that the atom consisted of a small, positive
nucleus, with negatively charged electrons traveling around it due to the electrostatic
force of coulomb s law. (Matthews 2010). Bohr stated that electrons travel only in
successively larger orbits. The outer orbits hold more electrons that the inner ones and
it s the outer orbits that determine the atom s chemical properties. Although Bohr s
model eliminated many problems of earlier renderings, it was not without its own
flaws. Bohr s model violated the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle because it states
that electrons have both a known orbit
Cnn s Presidential Election Coverage
For this project, I chose to watch the CNN Presidential Primary election coverage. I
watched the coverage on Super Tuesday, and also on Super Saturday. I wanted to
see how they portrayed each candidate, and also who was represented in regards to
the news anchors. Men were clearly represented more than women on both days, and
white males were the most represented overall. While there were femalenews anchors
dissecting the information, the main news anchors were males such as Wolf Blitzer. I
found this interesting because the women seemed to play a smaller point in the
coverage, only commenting on the results, while their male counterparts actually
released and gave out the results. There were a few different cultures represented,
with African Americans being represented the second most, and then hispanics.
Relating to the candidates, it seems as if Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are
receiving the most press even though other candidates are winning other states. I
believe this is because news networks have a political racethat they want to see
(Clinton v Trump) and they will try to dissuade voters towards candidates such as
Bernie Sanders and Marco Rubio for example. I find this very interesting because it
clearly shows how the media can influence people s minds, and the election. During
the coverage, the main anchors were white males, while there were some females
discussing the events. The program was based on covering the primary election

Stick to simplicity. Don t overload our portfolio with page after page of long text or
repetitive photos. In short, show the best, mention the important, and highlight the
relevant. 3. Keep it manageable and make it clear. Three ring binders are the
preferred choice for portfolios. Use sheets protector inside to keep our pages clean
and neat. 4. Plan well and systematically collect the contents. Our portfolio should
showcase our accomplishments. It can include teaching philosophy, cover letter,
resume, college transcripts, copies of teaching credentials, recommendation letters
and lesson plans other course materials we ve developed. 5. Keep it legible. Use a
computer to type and print out easy to read information sheets or a table of
contents. 6. Be sure to provide ease of use. The content should be really easy to
access. Organize our pages by index tabs or dividers. When interviewing, we could
quickly find the part we need. 7. Have both hard copy and electronic one available.
Professional Portfolio can be prepared in hard copy format by placing the material in
a binder or prepared electronically to meet individual needs of our future

Egon Schiele s Portrait Of Wally Essay
Art, in essence, is one of the most crucial pieces of cultural history. It transcends
language, emanates emotion, provokes thought, and stimulates imagination. In other
words, art is of monumental value in its scope of what befalls under its umbrella. It
was no wonder why during the Nazi regime from 1933 1945 that the Nazis would

Egon Schieles Portrait of Wally is a perfect example as to what degenerate art would

Victorianism And Anti Victorianism At War
Victorianism and anti Victorianism at War The Gilded Age was a time when
America was experiencing conflicting forces in social and political ways. Coming
out of the wounds of the civil war and emerging as a new world power, the urge of the
elite class to maintain the Victorian social structures was met with strong opposition
as more came to realize the intrinsic flaws and injustice of Victorianism. Although
Victorianism had a dominant influence on the Gilded Age society, the oppressed was
starting to manifest their opposition to this inherently flawed system. Among the
many aspects of this struggle, social classand ethnicity were the two most prevalent.

A milder argument endorsing the elite class focuses on the technological development.
Poverty is only transient. Technological development can provide a solution to this
problem. Therefore, much effort went into showcasing the technological
developments to please the people by providing an illusion of a wonderful future.
1876 Philadelphia World s Fair was such an unsuccessful attempt. The Philadelphia
World s Fair reinforced the view of American progress in economics, technology, and
social harmony. Over 45 feet tall, the Corliss Centennial Engine was an iconic
exhibition that visually displayed the majestic power of American industry. On the
other hand, the right arm and torch of the Statue of Liberty were showcased at the
Exposition, satirically displaying the freedom that only the elite and middle class
enjoyed. The Philadelphia fair received critical comments on the myth of material
and social progress that it tried to sell. In essence, by shifting public attention from
social problems to technological progress, the ruling groups used the world fairs as
measures of propaganda to soothe the working class into accepting the social
construct.
The World s Fair might be successful at presenting
Analysis Of A Lesson Before Dying
I agree with the statement, At the end of A Lesson Before Dying, desolation
prevails over consolation, because the last chapters of A Lesson Before Dying had
a negative and depressing tone. According to Sidney deRogers, He didn t pay any
close attention to the black truck with the gray tarpaulin cover, but he would tell
the people at the Rainbow Club that he did feel a cold chill when the truck went by.
Basically, Sidney is saying that he felt that something was awry, or that something
wrong or evil was in that truck. The whole town knew what was happening that day
and everyone had an opinion, whether that opinion was indifferent, uneasy, or
disgusted/sickened by what was going to happen on that day. Grant says that It was
a nice day. Blue sky. Not a cloud, but there was an overlying notion of sorrow and
fear that laid over everyone in the quarter. One could argue that the end of A Lesson
Before Dying prevailed with consolation rather than desolation since according to
Paul, He was the strongestman in that crowded room, Grant Wiggins. Paul s point is
that Jefferson died a man as a result of Grant. Despite what someone might say, I
still consider this argument to be wrong considering that Grant is still upset because
Jefferson did not have a Jury of his peers; everyone on that jury was white and had
no concern for Jefferson s life. At the end, it seems to me that Grant feels alone since
he has spent much of the past six months with Jefferson. He developed a strong

Lgbt Diversity And The Lgbt Community
In today s society the issues and rights of the LGBT community are very prominent
and is a major topic of discussion within politics. LGBT which stands for (Lesbians,
Gays, Bisexual, and Trans) encompasses all of those who fall under those categories
and those who support the community as well. With the legalization of gaymarriage in
all 50 states by the U.S Supreme Court the LGBTcommunity is making milestones
when it comes to having the same rights as heterosexual couples. With its growing
presence in the community it is essential to understand their culture and respect the
diversity of the group.
While working at BIC, a ware house located in Charlotte, nc, I met a diverse group
of individuals but the bulk of my coworkers were members of the LGBT
community. This was different for me because the high school I attended and my
previous college I didn t interact directly with anybody from that community. The
closest I had come to this was being in a modeling organization with gay males.
The women practiced separately so even then my contact was very limited. The
people I worked with at BIC quickly became good friends of mine despite are
different sexual orientations, this lead them to extend an invite to a nightclub
called The Scorpio. In the beginning i was hesitant to go because I had never been
to a LGBT event and did not know how different it would be from going to a
heterosexual nightclub. Before the event i was very conscious of what I wore

A Trip To Quan Am Essay
Last Sunday morning, my group and I visited Quan Am, a Vietnamese Buddhist
Monastery in Memphis. Walking in, we were first gestured in the room where we
would perform the ritual. The room was made up of rows of mats and pillows to sit
on, with English chant books on the left, and Vietnamese ones on the right. These
mats and pillows faced an ornate collection of brightly colored statues and artwork
in the front. At first one of the monks told us to open the chant books (there were
only English speakers there while we were participating), and we said the chants
along with him. After the chants, there was a period of meditation which we were
supposed to participate in, and he later talked to the group about various topics

The rhythmic chants put me in a sort of trance; by focusing on the musicality of
the words and saying them with a group of others, I focused on the chants only,
blocking out all other topics. I had a bit of trouble focusing during the meditation
session, as I had trouble staying comfortable and still, but I still enjoyed it
somewhat. We did several chants, a few of which related to teachings that we
learned in class, but the most memorable one was the one line that we were
supposed to repeat 120 times. I stopped saying it partway through, but the leader
and some others persevered through the entire chant. The monk s sermon was
interesting, but he had a very thick accent and he jumped from topic to topic, so it
was a bit challenging to follow sometimes. Although I thoroughly enjoyed it, a
wasp was flying around the room during the service, which was a bit distracting for
me, since I am allergic to them. The ceremony and the room itself were more
extravagant than I expected from a Buddhist service, but that could just be my bias
in seeing mostly Tibetan or Zen Buddhist practices as a Westerner. Now I know that

there are benefits that employees have come to expect like medical benefits,
retirement plans, and paid leave. A company that offers such benefits is more
appealing to a potential employee when searching for a job. In most companies,
medical, dental, and vision plans are a shared cost and the most important benefit to
an employee. Most companies that offer these types of benefits will receive a break
in cost due to the number of employees that they are covering. (Noe, Hollenbeck,
Gerhart, and Wright, 2004) This benefits the employee by taking some of the
financial burden off of expensive premiums. Medical benefits also ensure the
wellness of employees allowing them to continue his or her job with a company so
that the company continues to
Romanticism Era
The Romanticism era of 1785 1825 was an age of which many people had their own
idea of how the period worked. Writers, philosophers, poets, artist and musicians all
explored their mediums of music, art and writing to express their own concepts. The
key themes and ideas of romanticism involves emotional expression, nature/natural
worlds, imagination and individualism. A common interest for many of these

Burke s associating the liberty and government system of France to that of a crazy

Burke again reassures us that he won t do anything until it can be proven. As if the
French revolution was not enough proof of reestablishing new social and political
views. He actually argues that the Revolution should have does not deserve his

These statements challenge the work of the Revolution, which should have been a
resolution instead of a temporary fix that won t last. Burke uses those words

Burke uses vocabulary such as doubtful and do they/these to question their decision

American Literature Since the Civil War
27 October 2016
Mid Life Nostalgia When pondering what it means to be an American, one can think
of a seemingly endless list of defining qualities, characteristics, and themes. When
these themes are put into writing, they have the power to unite communities and
create a shared understanding of life as an American. E.B. White examines some of
these themes of American culture, such as the American tradition of summer
vacation, the commonly experienced mid life crisis, anxiety about change, and fear
of one s own mortality. E.B. White s Once More to the Lake is a memorable piece
of American literature that continues to be relatable today because of its emphasis on
growing old and facing one s own mortality, as told through an American lens. The
essay takes place during summer vacation in the early 20th century. The speaker has
fond memories of summertime when his father rents a camp on a lake in Maine and
took us all there for the month of August, (White 1). This practice is continued
summer after summer always on August 1st for one month, (White 1). The speaker
has fond memories of the summertime, and describes in great detail the fade proof
lake, the woods unshatterable, the pasture with the sweet fern and the juniper forever
and ever, summer without end (White 3). Summer vacation is something that most
Americans can relate to and has been a staple of the American way of life for
Essay On Aztecs
World history has featured the rise and fall of numerous civilizations. Few have
been as unique as the Aztecs. They quickly grew in the heartlands of Mexico from
their conquering lifestyle. The Aztecs developed a style of living different from
much of the other civilized world, partly due to the lack of cross cultural contact due
to the Americas relative isolation from the rest of the world in the pre Columbian era.
Nevertheless, the Aztecs created a society that was deeply cultural, and hugely
successful.
The Aztecs originated as a result of the several city states left after the fall of the
Toltecs in Tula. As the rival regions vied for power in the region, a new tribe arrived
in the Anahuac valley region and began to gain influence. Known as the Mexica, the
group began to draw on the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Ollama was an integral part of the Aztec lifestyle. The object of the game was
to get a rubber ball about the size of a human head through a stone hoop at the
sides of the court. The athletes had to keep the ball off the ground using only their
hips, head, knees, and elbows (Encyclopedia Britannica). The outcomes were
frequently bet on by people of all wealth. The more money you had, the more you
bet. Nobles would bet their concubines, money, or even cities, whereas the poor
would bet their freedom for risk of becoming a slave (New World Encyclopedia).
Other cultural events included the ceremonial human sacrifices. The sacred rituals
were in honor of the Aztec god Huitzilopochtli (Aztec History). The subjects were
first painted with blue chalk, and taken to the top of the sacred pyramid in
TenochtitlГЎn. The person laid on a stone slab, and their stomach would be cut
open with a ceremonial obsidian knife. Each body part had a different purpose after
being torn from the body: the heart was held up to the sun, the head was put on
display, and the organs in the abdomen were fed to the zoo animals (New World
Kurt Cobain s Egoistic Suicide
The person I chose for my topic is Kurt Cobain, not only because he was famous,
but also because I was surprised that I didn t know much of him until I researched
his name. Kurt Cobain died of an egoistic suicide, which by definition means his
suicide occurred because he was under extreme individualism, which in other words
means low social integration. The people who commit egoistic suicide are not
strongly supported by their loved one. Whatever it was Cobain didn t really have
the same enthusiasm he once did. From what I understood by doing my research, I
found out that he was constantly haunted by his thoughts. He was always just
spacing out, even when they were partying it up. He had very low self esteem and
self identifying factors that led him to get cling on hero personalities and led him to
the same self destructing ways.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

What Are The Consequences Of John F Kennedy s
Assassination
From a young age John Fitzgerald Kennedy set on a path to political greatness.
John F. Kennedy was the 35th President. He was the youngest man to ever be
elected into office. On November 22, 1963 President Kennedy died in Dallas,
Texas. Which would also make him the youngest President to die. He was killed by
an assassin s bullets as he s motorcade went past the Dealey Plaza on the sixth floor.
They were only three bullets that were fired during the assassination of John F.
Kennedy. Some bullets hit President Kennedy and some hit Governor Connally. The
FBI are not sure at which bullets hit Kennedy and which hit Connally, but Kennedy
was first shot in his neck then on the right side of his head. As for Governor Connally

The Process Of International Relations
I. Introduction
Many important decisions rest in the hands of the leaders of the countries of the
world. These decisions determine peace and war, trade agreements, and other highly
important choices. So, it is very important that those whom are elected into office will
do what is best for their country. To understand the process of international relations,
we must first understand how these leaders are elected in the first place. Much of this
comes down to mathematical processes, and without these, voting processes would
most likely be very corrupt.
Each country elects its leaders differently, but many run on the same principles. Many
countries run democratically, and rely on the plurality voting system, a method where
the candidate that is ranked first is elected. This method is very popular because it
involves a good balance of the people and their votes and those of an elected group
making decisions. One of the countries with the longest running democracies is the
United States. A country that is simultaneously heralded and criticized for its system
of governing, the United States is a prime example of the plurality voting system in
action.
I decided on this topic because of how interested and invested I am in systems of
governing and politics around the world. My personal belief is that if you are not
aware of what is happening in the world around you, then you are at a grand
disadvantage when taking part in your country s political affairs. I have lived in the

The Influence Of Abstract And Modern Art
Abstract and modern art have really changed the way society views and
appreciation for the amazing contributions and work created by artists. There are
so many styles and concepts which those artists have come up with over times
which are greatly reflected in their paintings and creations. In this essay we will be
going on a journey to find out the inspiration and the intended messages from three
paintings mentioned in the above topic. The Large Bathers, 1898 1905 is the largest
of Cezanne s pictures and because it is also the most formal in aspect, it has been
cited often as an example of his ideal of composition and his restoration if classical
monumentality after its lapse during the nineteenth century (www.PaulCezanne.org).
This painting was one of the most mind blowing yet interesting pieces during this era
because of its unfinished quality which caused quite a stir among writers, artists and
historians. The nude forms presented along with the river and triangular pattern in
which the trees were painted gives quite an interesting perspective to his work. The
composition of the painting did not reflect the ideal typical style from the
Renaissance pyramid. Instead it was created in another style where the central part is
empty, the apex is intercepted by the frame and the greatest compactness comes in
smaller pyramids for the largest figures. One can also notice from Cezanne s work
the way he thought about portrayed women. The abstract nude females present in

The Rights Of Gun Control
Gun control has been a controversial issue for many years. A vast majority of
citizens believe that if gun control is strictly enforced it would quickly reduce the
threat of crime. Many innocent people feel they have the right to bear arms for
protection, or even just the pleasure of hunting. Americans have a constitutional right
to own hand guns and stricter laws and licensing will not affectively save lives.
The second amendment states A well regulated militia, being necessary to the
security of a free state, the right of people to keep and bear arms shall not be
infringed. The Founding Fathers included this in the Bill of Rights because they
feared the Federal Government might oppress the population if the people did not

In vehicles without a trunk, the unloaded firearm shall be in a locked container other
than the glove compartment or console (Federal Gun Laws). There are many other
laws regarding ammunition, dealers of firearms, antique firearms, sales between
individuals which state, that a person without a federal firearm license may not sell a
firearm to another individual (Federal Gun Laws). Although there are gun laws for
every possible issue or situation, there are still some that believe the second
amendment should not exist and others that believe it is a very beneficial amendment.
The rational given for most modern gun control legislation is Crime Control. The
Brady Bill is one example. The Brady Bill is named after James Brady, who was
shot by John Hinckley during an assassination attempt on President Regan in 1981.
Supporters of the Brady Bill used that incident to gain support for their gun control
legislation, claiming it would reduce crime and save lives. The fact is that the
background check and waiting period included in the Brady Bill would not have
prevented John Hinckley from legally purchasing the handgun used in the incident.
Records show that a police background was run on Hinckley four days before he
purchased the revolver he used to shoot President Reagan and Jim Brady. The check
shoed he had no felony convictions in any jurisdiction. Neither had Hinckley any
public record of mental illness ( Guns 51).

Characteristics Of Abraham Maslow
Erikson s theory looks at personality from a developmental perspective. Abraham
Maslow, however, studied the positive aspects of people to discover what makes a
healthy personality. Through his research, Maslow developed his now famous
hierarchy of innate needs. At the bottom of his ascending pyramid are the
physiological needs for food and water, and even, according to Maslow, sex. The
next level is comprised of safety needs: security, order, and stability. Children need
to feel safe and secure in their environment and feel free from fear and anxiety. The
third level includes needs for belongingness and love through close relationships with
others. After belongingness and love are esteem needs. One will feel a sense of self

S. Lewis. Due to the constraints of space, however, only a few will be highlighted.
Lewis certainly experienced a sense of awe and wonder, as well as having peak
experiences. Maslow explains that self actualized individuals sometimes feel like
spies or aliens in a foreign land (Maslow, as cited in Heylighen, 1992, para. 27).
Lewis (1955) describes experiencing an intense desire which he called joy (pp. 18
19). In Mere Christianity, Lewis (1952) writes, If I find in myself a desire which
no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was
made for another world....I must never let it get snowed under or turned aside; I
must make it the main object of life to press on to that other country and to help
others do the same. (pp. 136 137) Joy as a peak experience was a focus in Lewis s
life. Wonder, awe and peak joy experiences, however, are not his only
characteristics. Lewis also exhibited an acceptance of himself and others,
authenticity and spontaneity, and displayed a focus on and genuine interest in his
friends and colleagues. Those close to Lewis describe him as unusually cheerful, and
[taking] an almost boyish delight in life (as cited in Nicholi, 2002, p. 115).
Furthermore, Lewis was great fun, an extremely witty and amusing
companion...considerate... [and] more concerned with the welfare of his friends than
with himself (as cited in Nicholi, 2002, p. 115). Not only does this description fit with
Transcendentalism In Into The Wild
Living fully but simply is the key to life in a transcendentalist point of view.
Transcendentalism is focused around nature and the beauty of the world rather than
the horrible insights of society and the government. Chris McCandless in the movie,
Into The Wild, goes on an adventure with a mindset like a Transcendentalist and seek
happiness in nature. Chris is on the way to Alaska to hide away from society and the
government by trying to live by himself in the forest with little supplies. McCandless
gets some ideas right about Transcendentalismbut also gets ideas wrong which leads
to his ultimate demise. To begin with, Chris McCandless overthinks
Transcendentalism by getting rid of most of his material possessions. McCandless
discards most of his things and only wished to live deliberately, to front only the
essential facts of life (Thoreau 114). He ends with taking all of his money and
burning it before his trip to Alaska. Thoreau,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Just like the Transcendentalists, Chris McCandless thinks society and the people
around him are a detriment to his life and well being which gives him another
reason to spend [days] as deliberately as nature ( Thoreau). Society lets little
valuables and expensive belongings take control of the individuals and the
environment around them. Not only does society let these valuables take control, but
is seen as positive hindrances to the elevation of mankind (Thoreau). In addition to,
according to Thoreau and other Transcendentalists, Civilization is just another word
for making money. Chris escapes from the preposterous society and starts to explore
thyself in the process (Thoreau). McCandless takes in consideration of how deep the
ruts of tradition and conformity are as he thinks of how society uses tradition to keep
people from their spiritual truths

the company s taxes were not paid in time which caused some debate about

If he declined he would be fired by the board. When the day of the meeting arrived
Gerry Wiegert locked himself inside Vector headquarters. The Board of Directors

Sea Otters Research Paper
Sea otters are a keystone species, meaning their role in their environment has a
greater effect than other species. As predators, sea otters are critical to maintaining
the balance of the near shore kelp ecosystems. Without sea otters, the undersea
animals they prey on would devour the kelp forests off the coast that provide cover
and food for many other marine animals. Additionally, sea otters indirectly help to
reduce levels of atmospheric carbon dioxide, a prevalent greenhouse gas, as kelp
forests play an important role in capturing carbon in coastal ecosystems

2,000 in the early 1900s. Today, there are estimated to be just over 106,000
worldwide, with just under 3,000 in California.
HABITAT RANGE
Sea otters live in shallow coastal waters off the northern Pacific. Their historic range
stretched from Japan, along the coast of Siberia and the Aleutian Chain and down the
Alaska, British Columbia, Washington, Oregon and California coast to Baja
California. Currently sea otters can be found in Canada, Russia, Japan, California
and Washington, but the majority of all wild sea otters are found in Alaskan waters.
Recent reports of sea otter sightings have also occurred in Mexico.
In the U.S., there are two distinct sea otter subspecies, the Northern sea otter
(Enhydra lutris kenyoni) and the Southern sea otter (Enhydra lutris nereis). Northern
sea otters are found in the Aleutian Islands, Southern Alaska, British Columbia, and
Washington. Southern sea otters, also known as California sea otters, live in the
waters along the California coastline and range from San Mateo County in the north
to Santa Barbara County in the

Essay Nature. Nature essay - College Homework Help and Online Tutoring.

  • 1. Essay Nature Crafting an essay on the broad and intricate subject of "Nature" can be a formidable task. The sheer vastness and complexity of the topic present both a challenge and an opportunity for exploration. Nature, with its multifaceted dimensions, encompasses everything from the intricate ecosystems and biodiversity to the philosophical reflections on humanity's relationship with the natural world. The difficulty lies in striking a balance between scientific accuracy and poetic contemplation. One must navigate through the scientific intricacies of ecosystems, climate patterns, and the delicate balance of flora and fauna. Simultaneously, the writer is challenged to capture the essence of nature's beauty, its power to inspire awe, and its role in shaping human consciousness. Moreover, the concept of nature extends beyond the physical realm. It delves into the realms of philosophy, ethics, and spirituality. The essayist must grapple with questions about humanity's responsibility towards nature, the ethical considerations surrounding environmental stewardship, and the profound impact of nature on the human psyche. The challenge intensifies when attempting to avoid clichГ©s and tired expressions that often accompany discussions about nature. Striking a balance between providing fresh perspectives and acknowledging the timeless allure of nature can be a delicate feat. In essence, composing an essay on nature requires a nuanced understanding of various disciplines, from science to philosophy, coupled with the ability to articulate these insights in a coherent and engaging manner. The writer must seamlessly weave together facts, reflections, and perhaps a touch of artistic flair to convey the richness and depth of the subject. For those who find themselves grappling with the intricacies of such a topic, it might be worthwhile to seek assistance. Resources like HelpWriting.net can offer valuable support and guidance. These platforms connect individuals with experienced writers capable of delivering well-researched and articulate essays on a wide array of subjects, including those as challenging as the multifaceted concept of nature. • 2. Reflection Paper On A Material Library On Friday October 20, 2017, I visited Interspace Limited, an interior design firm that specializes in commercial interiors. Interspace Limited focuses on furniture specifications, production and project management, team work, scheduling, and budgeting to ensure that the clients needs are supported and granted. Furniture and material finishes are their specialty so they are always update with current trends, manufacture representatives, and business connections. During my firm visit, I meet with the owner, Darlene Huffman, who kindly showed me around the firm and materials library. Before and after the materials library, I took advantage of making new connections and asking personal questions about the firm s unique project process and internship opportunities. During my time within their materials library, I asked a series of questions to understand the importance of Interspace Limited s materials. How is there material library organized? How often do they utilize the material lab? How do you use the material lab? At what point in the project do they begin to think about materials and why? How do you stay informed of material trends? What are some of your favorite manufactures and why? And mostly importantly, what is a local interior space you think expresses good applications and use of materials? Starting with the questions how is the materials organized and how often do they utilize the materials library? The materials library is composed of two rooms organized
  • 3. The Light at the End of Hell The Light at the End of Hell It so happens that everyday people quit their jobs, quit school, leave their families, or sadly end their lives. People tend to give up on dreams as soon as someone closes the door on them which leaves them with no hope. What one has done over the years, all the work and sweat, the sacrifices that person has made are gone in an instant because he can no longer endure the pain. People face challenges and sometimes hardships, but all of this is a part of life. One nags and bitches about how bad their life is but never takes the time to think about the great outcome that may occur once they get through the suffering. People believe that they are the victims and they will never get anywhere because of all the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Without suffering and pain, life would not mean anything. One would live in a perfect world with a perfect family and in perfect harmony. Life would be meaningless if the world were a utopia. There would not be balance between good and bad and it would not be worth to live since there would be no challenges or fears.de Botton gives us a quote explaining what one would face if they chose the easy way out of tough times and what they would face in the end. He says: What if pleasure and displeasure were so tied together that whoever wanted to have as much as possible of one must also have as much as possible of the other... you have the choice: either as little pleasure as possible, painless in brief...or as much displeasure as possible as the price for the growth of an abundance of subtle pleasures and joys that have rarely been released yet? If you decide for the former and desire to diminish and lower the level of human pain, you also have to diminish and lower the level of their capacity for joy (215). Pleasure and difficulties are tied together and they work like a scale. On one side, we have pleasure and on the other difficulties. If one cheats in life and has too many pleasures, one will suffer hardships. However if one faces the hardships and goes through difficulties in order to be successful, one will be happy in the end. People end their joys if they choose to cheat and take the short cuts. It is important for people to understand why
  • 4. The Anatomy Of The Anthropology Department That I Found My name is Sean Keefe and I am an intern for the recently deceased Harvey Manfrenjensenjen. While sorting through samples I came across 6 hominin skulls that lack analysis. In this project, I am going to explain and talk about the six skulls in the Anthropology Department that I found. To do this, I will use what I have learned in lecture, as well as numerous outside sources to describe three defining characteristics for each skull. Additionally, I will provide necessary information about each skull if needed. After that, I will put the fossil samples in evolutionary order form the oldest to the youngest. Lastly, I will include a family tree that shows age comparison and ancestral relationships between the homonids. The first skull that I observed in the Anthropology Department belongs to Australopithecusrobustus. Australopithecus robustus was first named by the eminent Dr. Robert Broom. The A. robustus leftovers generally come from three different sites: Swartkrans (largest), Dreimulen, and Kromdraai. One of the major problems with these South African sites is dating, but generally, robustus remains can be safely placed from 2.0 1.0 myr, and possibly even earlier. Australopithecus robustus has many features that are specifically distinct to A. robustus. This skull has very thick jaws; small incisors, canines, large, molar like premolars and very large molars. The height of Australopithecus robustus is between 1.1 1.3 meters, and the weight is between 40 80 Kg. The
  • 5. Case Study of Terrorism Essay On September 11, 2001, the United States (U.S.) experienced an act of overt terrorism unparalleled in its history. The extremist terrorist group, al Qaeda, attacked the U.S and briefly paralyzed a nation. This was a physical attack on the US, but in retrospect, a global attack on democracy. The U.S. and its coalition partners came to the realization that this act of terrorism was potentially a precursor to an asymmetric warfare campaign that had global impact. After carefully analyzing the magnitude of this event, the U.S. realized this could not be a unilateral effort; it had to seek support from its partners in countering terror campaigns worldwide. In support of the U.S. efforts, the Air Force (AF) should build partnership... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Based on the make up of the Air Command and Staff College (ACSC), a resident program located at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama, it will represent the AF PME School during this analysis. ACSC is an intermediate level PME School for U.S. and international military personnel. Air National Guard (ANG) personnel attend ACSC, with very few, if any, Army NG personnel. Therefore, this study will only focus on the use of ANG personnel. After completing ACSC, U.S. military forces possess the skills and knowledge to fill squadron commander positions and operational staff level jobs supporting Combatant Commanders, Joint Staff, Air Staff, and senior level interagency officials. According to Brigadier General Jimmie Jackson, Jr., then ACSC Commandant, he testified to Congress on June 25, 2009 that since 1946 approximately 2,500 IO s from 92 nations graduated from the college and later became Chiefs of Staff, Heads of State, Ministers, Ambassadors, or members of Parliament . Because many of these IO s become prominent figures in their government, it s possible that information shared and relationships cultivated while attending ACSC could help influence their views about the U.S. In Phase I, as part of its initial indoctrination process, ACSC should assign Guardsmen and IO s from partnering nations in the same classroom during the
  • 6. A Brief Look at Pink Floyd Pink Floyd, an English psychedelic rock band founded in 1965, was originally made up of construction students Syd Barrett, Roger Waters, Nick Mason, and Richard Wright. They originally started performing in London s underground scene in the late 60s, and under Syd Barrett s creative leadership they released two charting singles and a successful debut album. In December 1967, the group added David Gilmour as the band s fifth member following the mental breakdown of Syd Barrett during their support of Jimi Hendrix during a tour of England. Eventually, Syd Barrett was moved to a nonperforming role, only writing songs and nothing else. This stopped when a mixture of Syd s unpredictable behavior at the time and idiosyncratic sense of humor occurred and created a song that, initially, seeming like an ordinary Barrett tune. However, as the others attempted to join in and learn the song, Barrett changed the melodies and structure, making it impossible for the others to learn. The song was, fittingly enough, named Have You Got It Yet? Barrett eventually totally left the band, leaving only 3 of the original members. After this, the band released 8 other studio albums, and grew immensely popular thanks to Roger Waters ideas. However, Waters eventually became greatly annoyed with the fame, and even went to the point of spitting in the face of some particularly annoying fans during a concert in Montreal. During the creation of one of their most theatrical and thought provoking

Britney Spears Case Summary Question 1 Even as a friend of the family, Dr. Phil didn t have the right to visit Britney at the hospital without her consent and permission to see her and walk into her room. As a patient at the Cedar Sinai hospital, Britney was entitled to her privacy rights provided by the state. It was the obligation of the hospital to ensure that no uninvited visitors were allowed in her chambers. Britney had already been discharged from the facility and was packing to leave when Dr. Phil walked in while she was still parking. The hospital should never have let Dr. Phil in to see her since she had already been discharged and was on her way out, hence, no guests were allowed (Moskop et al., 2005). The hospital had the obligation of ensuring that the only visitors who saw the patient were those acceptable by the patient to ensure that visitors such as journalists didn t have access to the patient that would jeopardize her rights of privacy and confidentiality. Dr. Phil didn t have the right to make the comments he did. • 11. Quotes In An Inspector Calls An Inspector Calls is set in the 1912 although it was written during 1945. It is based upon an apparent suicide of a girl called Eva Smith. The reasons for her death are revealed to the audience through a sequence of events that happened before she died. The people who contributed to her death are the members of the capitalist Birling family. The main reason for Inspector s appearance in the play s to reveal the truth not only about the crime but also to make The Birlings feel collective responsibility for actions or inactions that led to Eva s death. Priestley presents The Inspector to the audience as a social activist. His main aim is to teach the Birlings about the insignificance of money and power when it comes being a part of a society. He believes they live in a bubble of capitalism ; oblivious to reality. We are members of one body is a powerful phrase used by the Inspector to knock some sense into The Birlings, teaching them the importance of community. The Inspector uses personal pronouns very often. For instance: We suggests that he is talking on behalf of everyman and not just an individual. • 12. Similarities Between Kojiki And Greek Mythology Similar myths and legends have been coexisting throughout the world, regardless of eastern and western cultures, and in different languages. Greek myth is probably the world s most famous and beloved than any other tale of legends stories. Surprisingly, Greek myth and Japanese myth share many similarities in the creation of the world and legend stories through their mythologies. Japan s Kojiki (Record of Ancient Matters) is a collection of Japanese historical records as well as Japanese mythologies, in which the legend explains the creation of the world and birth of deities. However, Greek mythologies, on the other hand, do not have an official written record of mythologies or religious text like the Bible or the Kojiki, but earliest story teller like Homer and Hesiod shared richest sources in poems, attempt to explain the beginning of the universe in human language. Both Kojiki and Greek mythologies describe common belief in the creation of the world, in which gods give birth to another to form the world. In Kojiki, two of the seven gods who came into existence, Izanagi and Izanami give birth to many nature deities, creating the world. But because Izanami gives birth to too many deities, she dies while giving birth to the fire deity. In result of her death, enraged Izanagi kills the fire deity. In contrast, Greek myth describes the creation of the world with the four gods who came to existences, Gaea (earth) Chaos, Tartarus (Hell), and then Eros. Gaea asexually gives birth to Uranus (Sky) and marries her son. She then bears three types of gods; the Titans, the Cyclopes, and the Hecathonchires. However, Uranus repels at the monstrous creatures and sends Cyclopes and Hecatonchires down to Tartarus (Hell). Frustrated by Uranus s action, Gaea forges the first sickle, gives it to her youngest son Cronos, and have him punish his father, Uranus. Once Uranus returns to make love to Gaea, Cronos emasculates him. Here we see the similarities in the creation of the world by birth and death of God by the hands of another god with fury. Another similarity can be spotted on the death of the loved ones, in which the god or a hero is visiting the world of the dead to meet their wives. In Kojiki, after the death of

I can still remember learning cursive in third grade, and although I could not tell you my teacher s name, I remember her patience in teaching us the uppercase and lowercase letters on an overhead projector. It was exciting and new, and built the foundation for my love of writing, and to this day I write exclusively in cursive. Following the excitement of cursive came my love for journaling. Still today, I find great joy and peace in writing in my journal. • 20. Analysis Of Unforgiven Unforgiven is a 1992 Western film which was produced, directed, and starred by Clint Eastwood. The adventure of William Munny, a vicious murderer in the past who has killed innocent women and children, started when The Schofield Kid approached Munny in his farm and asked him if he wanted to help in killing two of the cowboys who slashed one of the prostitutes just because the woman giggled at one of the cowboy s tiny pecker. However, Little Bill Daggett, the sheriff, just fined the two cowboys with six horses to be given to the saloon keeper instead of arresting and beating them up; this nonchalant response of the sheriff outraged the other prostitutes. The girls pooled all of their savings, which amounted to $1,000, and used that money as a reward to anybody who would kill the two cowboys who slashed up their friend. The film was unique because of the way Clint Eastwood presented violence and killing in an interesting way and in a new light wherein the line between good and evil was a little blurred. The thought provoking title of the film also added a unique touch to this film. The form of violence in the film was presented in different ways some are subtle, but some are more obvious. The way that the prostitutes offered bounty for the death of the two cowboys serves as a silent form of violence and protest, which represents the hatred that they feel because they are belittled and mistreated by the people just because they are prostitutes: Just because we let them

Doublethink is a method and an act that is being used by the party and the American government to make the citizens simultaneously accept two contradictory beliefs as correct at the same time. Doublethink causes the people to hold and then accept the false idea that they had always been at war with Eastasia, even though material proof contradicts this idea. This is very significant because if the inhabitants were allowed to notice the change in war, they may have began to question it. The party uses doublethink to focus the people s anger outwards instead of inwards against their leadership. The models: The traditional model, Social Science model, Industrial Inspection model, Black Box Evaluation, and Objectives Based Evaluation model, are very common and helpful in different types of organizations and environment. In addition to supporting honey bees, maple trees also support pancake lovers across the continent. The ratio of sap to syrup is rather surprising; sometimes, it can take up to 30 gallons of sap to produce only 1 gallon of syrup. The sugary sap is also used to produce maple taffy, maple cream, and maple sugar. The biggest issue for maples is spacing. Fortunately, these trees are not as picky about sunlight and can successfully grow in both sunny and shady spots. Partial shade may be preferable to full sun or full shade, however. They need a thorough soaking as soon as the soil starts going dry. Fertilizer is not a necessity for maple trees. Working off Rutherford s previous work, Bohr was able to successfully explain the spectrum of the hydrogen atom. While Rutherford s model focused mainly on the nucleus, Bohr paid greater attention to electrons. The previous model of the atom stated an electron was an orbiting planet. The problem in this flawed model was that the electron, moving in a circular path, would be accelerating. Acceleration would create a change in magnetic field, which would in turn carry energy away from the nucleus. The electron would eventually slow and be captured by the nucleus. Bohr s model expanded upon Rutherford s and solved many flaws of the previous model The Bohr Diagram, ). Bohr discovered that the atom consisted of a small, positive nucleus, with negatively charged electrons traveling around it due to the electrostatic force of coulomb s law. (Matthews 2010). Bohr stated that electrons travel only in successively larger orbits. The outer orbits hold more electrons that the inner ones and it s the outer orbits that determine the atom s chemical properties. Although Bohr s model eliminated many problems of earlier renderings, it was not without its own flaws. Bohr s model violated the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle because it states that electrons have both a known orbit

I wanted to see how they portrayed each candidate, and also who was represented in regards to the news anchors. Men were clearly represented more than women on both days, and white males were the most represented overall. While there were femalenews anchors dissecting the information, the main news anchors were males such as Wolf Blitzer. I found this interesting because the women seemed to play a smaller point in the coverage, only commenting on the results, while their male counterparts actually released and gave out the results. There were a few different cultures represented, with African Americans being represented the second most, and then hispanics. Relating to the candidates, it seems as if Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are receiving the most press even though other candidates are winning other states. I believe this is because news networks have a political racethat they want to see (Clinton v Trump) and they will try to dissuade voters towards candidates such as Bernie Sanders and Marco Rubio for example. I find this very interesting because it clearly shows how the media can influence people s minds, and the election. During the coverage, the main anchors were white males, while there were some females discussing the events. The program was based on covering the primary election results from the Democratic

Analysis Of A Lesson Before Dying I agree with the statement, At the end of A Lesson Before Dying, desolation prevails over consolation, because the last chapters of A Lesson Before Dying had a negative and depressing tone. According to Sidney deRogers, He didn t pay any close attention to the black truck with the gray tarpaulin cover, but he would tell the people at the Rainbow Club that he did feel a cold chill when the truck went by. Basically, Sidney is saying that he felt that something was awry, or that something wrong or evil was in that truck. The whole town knew what was happening that day and everyone had an opinion, whether that opinion was indifferent, uneasy, or disgusted/sickened by what was going to happen on that day. Grant says that It was a nice day. Blue sky. Not a cloud, but there was an overlying notion of sorrow and fear that laid over everyone in the quarter. One could argue that the end of A Lesson Before Dying prevailed with consolation rather than desolation since according to Paul, He was the strongestman in that crowded room, Grant Wiggins. Paul s point is that Jefferson died a man as a result of Grant. Despite what someone might say, I still consider this argument to be wrong considering that Grant is still upset because Jefferson did not have a Jury of his peers; everyone on that jury was white and had no concern for Jefferson s life. At the end, it seems to me that Grant feels alone since he has spent much of the past six months with Jefferson. He developed a strong

Walking in, we were first gestured in the room where we would perform the ritual. The room was made up of rows of mats and pillows to sit on, with English chant books on the left, and Vietnamese ones on the right. These mats and pillows faced an ornate collection of brightly colored statues and artwork in the front. At first one of the monks told us to open the chant books (there were only English speakers there while we were participating), and we said the chants along with him. I stopped saying it partway through, but the leader and some others persevered through the entire chant. The monk s sermon was interesting, but he had a very thick accent and he jumped from topic to topic, so it was a bit challenging to follow sometimes. These decisions determine peace and war, trade agreements, and other highly important choices. So, it is very important that those whom are elected into office will do what is best for their country. To understand the process of international relations, we must first understand how these leaders are elected in the first place. Much of this comes down to mathematical processes, and without these, voting processes would most likely be very corrupt. Each country elects its leaders differently, but many run on the same principles. Many countries run democratically, and rely on the plurality voting system, a method where the candidate that is ranked first is elected. This method is very popular because it involves a good balance of the people and their votes and those of an elected group making decisions. One of the countries with the longest running democracies is the United States. The Large Bathers, 1898 1905 is the largest of Cezanne s pictures and because it is also the most formal in aspect, it has been cited often as an example of his ideal of composition and his restoration if classical monumentality after its lapse during the nineteenth century (www.PaulCezanne.org). This painting was one of the most mind blowing yet interesting pieces during this era because of its unfinished quality which caused quite a stir among writers, artists and historians. The nude forms presented along with the river and triangular pattern in which the trees were painted gives quite an interesting perspective to his work. The composition of the painting did not reflect the ideal typical style from the Renaissance pyramid. Instead it was created in another style where the central part is empty, the apex is intercepted by the frame and the greatest compactness comes in smaller pyramids for the largest figures. One can also notice from Cezanne s work the way he thought about portrayed women. The abstract nude females present in Large

Maslow explains that self actualized individuals sometimes feel like spies or aliens in a foreign land (Maslow, as cited in Heylighen, 1992, para. 27). Lewis (1955) describes experiencing an intense desire which he called joy (pp. 18 19). In Mere Christianity, Lewis (1952) writes, If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world....I must never let it get snowed under or turned aside; I must make it the main object of life to press on to that other country and to help others do the same. (pp. 136 137) Joy as a peak experience was a focus in Lewis s life. Wonder, awe and peak joy experiences, however, are not his only characteristics. Lewis also exhibited an acceptance of himself and others, authenticity and spontaneity, and displayed a focus on and genuine interest in his friends and colleagues. Those close to Lewis describe him as unusually cheerful, and [taking] an almost boyish delight in life (as cited in Nicholi, 2002, p. 115). Furthermore, Lewis was great fun, an extremely witty and amusing companion...considerate... [and] more concerned with the welfare of his friends than with himself (as cited in Nicholi, 2002, p. 115). • 54. Transcendentalism In Into The Wild Living fully but simply is the key to life in a transcendentalist point of view. Chris McCandless in the movie, Into The Wild, goes on an adventure with a mindset like a Transcendentalist and seek happiness in nature. Chris is on the way to Alaska to hide away from society and the government by trying to live by himself in the forest with little supplies. McCandless gets some ideas right about Transcendentalismbut also gets ideas wrong which leads to his ultimate demise. To begin with, Chris McCandless overthinks Transcendentalism by getting rid of most of his material possessions. McCandless discards most of his things and only wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life (Thoreau 114). He ends with taking all of his money and burning it before his trip to Alaska. Thoreau,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Just like the Transcendentalists, Chris McCandless thinks society and the people around him are a detriment to his life and well being which gives him another reason to spend [days] as deliberately as nature ( Thoreau). Society lets little valuables and expensive belongings take control of the individuals and the environment around them. Not only does society let these valuables take control, but is seen as positive hindrances to the elevation of mankind (Thoreau). In addition to, according to Thoreau and other Transcendentalists, Civilization is just another word for making money. Chris escapes from the preposterous society and starts to explore thyself in the process (Thoreau). McCandless takes in consideration of how deep the ruts of tradition and conformity are as he thinks of how society uses tradition to keep people from their spiritual truths

Then Gerry revoked the deal by claiming he was under the impression that his option would only be used as collateral for the loan and not transferred. Djodi conducted business based on trust and Gerry broke this trust for Vector. He would no longer invest in the company, but keep Dorpi on the board to protect his previous investments. In 1992 the company s taxes were not paid in time which caused some debate about disclosures in the 10 K. Also, after hosting a babysitter it was imminent that Gerry was furnishing his own home with company expenses. They decided to call a meeting where Gerry was going to be formally asked to resign on March 22, 1993. If he declined he would be fired by the board. When the day of the meeting arrived Gerry Wiegert locked himself inside Vector headquarters. The Board of Directors consisted primarily of Gerry Wiegert, John Pope, and Barry Rosengrant. Dan Harnett and George Fencl were also a part of the board for some point of time; they also had adequate knowledge to be capable additions to the board with their knowledge of law and
  • 56. Sea Otters Research Paper Sea otters are a keystone species, meaning their role in their environment has a greater effect than other species. As predators, sea otters are critical to maintaining the balance of the near shore kelp ecosystems. Without sea otters, the undersea animals they prey on would devour the kelp forests off the coast that provide cover and food for many other marine animals. Additionally, sea otters indirectly help to reduce levels of atmospheric carbon dioxide, a prevalent greenhouse gas, as kelp forests play an important role in capturing carbon in coastal ecosystems DIET Sea otters eat urchins, abalone, mussels, clams, crabs, snails and about 40 other marine species.
