1. Process Analysis Essay Topics
Writing a process analysis essay on the topic of "Process Analysis Essay Topics" can be a
challenging endeavor. The difficulty lies in the meta-awareness required to navigate the intricate
layers of the subject. It's a paradoxical task as you delve into the process of selecting topics for
an essay that dissects processes. The challenge is not just about conveying information but also
about presenting it in a coherent and engaging manner.
To begin with, you must first understand the nuances of process analysis itself. This type of
essay involves breaking down a complex process into manageable steps and explaining each
stage comprehensively. While this may sound straightforward, selecting suitable topics adds an
additional layer of complexity. It demands creativity and a keen understanding of the audience
to choose processes that are not only interesting but also offer substantial analytical depth.
Moreover, as you embark on crafting your essay, the challenge lies in maintaining a balance
between clarity and detail. Too much information may overwhelm the reader, while too little
may leave them confused. Structuring the essay in a logical sequence is another hurdle. Ensuring
that each step flows seamlessly into the next requires meticulous planning and organization.
Additionally, the writing style needs to be informative yet engaging. Balancing the technicality
of the process with a reader-friendly tone can be tricky. It's about conveying the intricacies of the
chosen process without losing the reader's interest.
In the end, tackling a process analysis essay on the subject of "Process Analysis Essay Topics"
demands not only a deep understanding of the essay type itself but also a creative flair for topic
selection and the ability to convey complex processes in an accessible manner. It's a task that
requires a fusion of analytical thinking, creativity, and effective communication skills.

2. The Issue Of Protection Is Needed For The World Today
The generation in today society has to understand that protection is needed for the
world today because the people need to feel safe and comfortable. In every state,
the requirement of protection is considered a law and is different extremely in each
50 state. Most people abide by the protection law because it s the ethical decision to
do, but some people do the opposite for their own egocentric reasons. In Mississippi
(American), consumers have protection from unscrupulous sellers and adequate
information to make wise marketplace choices (Norrgard, 1988, p.61). A young
Mississippi woman went to every business and individual advertising her new product
of shampoo for women and men. She publicly announced to the entire consumerthat

3. Candid View Of Leibniz s Optimism
A Candid View of Leibniz s Optimism
During the Age of Enlightenment, 18th century France was a hotbed of changing
political and intellectual thought. Many people began to question how things work
and look to reason and science rather than superstition and metaphysical thought for
answers. Nontraditional thinkers known as philosophes began to make their radical
ideas public and soon European society was taken by an intellectual storm.
The primary satirist of the French Enlightenment, Voltaire, was a deist and a renowned
playwright. Using his quick wit and talent with words, Voltaire satirized popular
philosophy and political thought through his most famous work titled Candide. With
its fantastical and violent plot, the story served as a public platform for Voltaire to
criticize modern issues of religion, government and philosophy. Specifically,
Candide critiques the main ideas of German philosopher, Leibniz. Candide is a
parody of Leibniz dominant theory of possible worlds and pre established harmony.
The plot assaults Leibniz s optimism but provides some practical wisdom on how
man should live. According to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Voltaire wrote about the earthquake in Candide and also wrote a poem about the
disaster to challenge philosophical and theological optimism. In Candide before the
earthquake, Pangloss prevents Candide from saving a drowning character by
reasoning that the specific place in which he was drowning was created for the
character to drown in. After the earthquake, Pangloss attempts to console the
survivors with the idea: things could not be otherwise... For, all this if or the best ...
for it is impossible that things should not be where they are, for all is well (241).
Pangloss s unconvincing justification for such great devastation weakens Leibniz
theory that this world, where so much suffering exists, is the best possible
4. Evolution And Human Cognitive Evolution
Humans have a talent: they have the unique ability to manipulate almost anything
organic to make it more consumable. This started when the first humans used crude
stone cutting tools to cut meat off the bone of their prey (Larsen 2017). Many
anthropologists recognize this ability as an extreme step in our cognitive evolution
(Larsen 2017). Researchers agree that humans were hunter gatherers at one point,
but how did our brains develop the intellectual capacity for creating tools and
utilizing our environment to eat more nutrient rich food? Theories exist that meat
eating and use of fire for cooking helped expand our brains (Larsen 2017).
However, what did humans eat before all of that? What nutrients allowed us to
develop the skills for using fire and tools to our advantage? Many studies point
towards a dietary factor of foods that are rich in fatty acidssuch as DHA and AA
contributing to a jumpstart in our cognitive evolution without requiring a higher level
skill set (Allen 2010). Even though just like fish and shellfish, terrestrial animals
provided protein and the fatty acidAA that could have contributed to humancognitive
evolution, the jumpstart to our cognitive evolution was likely caused by a dietary
factor of aquatic life (Allen 2010). This is because gathering aquatic life did not
require any significant technological advancements, hunting for fish and shellfish was
easier than competing with predators for terrestrial prey, and aquatic life, including
fish and shellfish, is high in fatty acids that support essential components of
developing mammalian nervous systems (Brenna and Carlson, 2014:99).
First, the jumpstart to our cognitive evolution was likely caused by a dietary factor of
aquatic life because gathering aquatic life did not require any technological
advancements. A team of researchers who discovered two non hominin fossil
specimens at the Hadar Formation in Ethiopia observe that the specimens ...are
contemporaneous with the earliest documented stone tools, and they collectively bear
twelve marks interpreted to be characteristic of stone tool butchery damage
(Thompson et al. 2015:112). This suggests that humans would have used tools to cut
the meat from the bone of their prey, meaning
5. Life And Death Of The Medical Workforce Essay
Tony Schwartz said Let go of certainty. The opposite isn t uncertainty. It s openness,
curiosity and a willingness to embrace paradox, rather than choose up sides. The
ultimate challenge is to accept ourselves exactly as we are, but never stop trying to
learn and grow. All areas of the content this semester have managed to teach me
something new, open my eyes to a new perspective, and assisted me in gaining my
own narrative on how I view life and death. The area that struck a chord within me
the most was when we learned about the facets cope and grief. Loss is something that
anyone and everyone will experience at some point. We ve discussed in depth
about patients and family members reactions toward death, but not necessarily
from the perspective of the medical workforce; namely, nurses. Grief is defined as
mental suffering or distress in response to a threatened or real loss, as of loss of a
body part or function, death of another person, or loss of one s possessions, job,
status, or ideals, (Grief, 2003). While most are familiar with the five stages of grief
(denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance), most are unaware that there are
different types of grieving. The three main types of grief are uncomplicated/normal
grief, anticipatory grief, and complicated grief (Lowey, 2015). Additionally, there are
four subset categories to define the type of complicated grief one is going through:
chronic, delayed, masked, and exaggerated grief (Lowey, 2015). With so
6. What Is The Symbolism In The Big Brother
The Big Brother In every part of the city, there are the Big Brother s posters. In
these posters, it is written that Big Brother is watching you. It means that
wherever you go, whatever you do is always eavesdropped and watched. Actually,
anyone does not know actual existence of Big Brother. In a chapter and a scene,
Winston asks O Brien whether the Big Brother is real or not. However, it does not
matter if he exists or not. The ideology of the Big Brother is the main point. In the
book and the movie, the Big Brother symbolizes dictatorship. When I compare the
book to the movie, the constraint of the Big Brother ideology and its effects are
reflected more clearly. The Glass Paperweight and St. Clement s Church Winston
buys a paperweight in an antique store. It symbolizes reconnection with the past.
When the Thought Police arrest Winston, the paperweight breaks into pieces on the
floor. In the book, Winston resembles the paperweight to their lives. They are put in
this world like the coral that is put in the glass. Unlike the movie, in the book, when
paperweight is shattered, at the same time of his arrest, Winston still think actually

Clement s Church in the room that Winston rents is another representation of the lost

where there is no darkness . He understands that he would go the place where is
abundant with happiness and sunny days. In short, this sentence symbolizes the
hope for Winston. In the book, he always dreams about the place. In the movie
version, we see his dream place very often especially when he is at the Ministry of

United Parcel Service s IPO In any organization, financial analysis is one of the most
basic parts of evaluation of a company operation in any business environment. As
businesses operate, it is very important that the managers know the real environment
for which a firm carries out its activities. The competitions evident in the market are
substantial to the decision making process of a firm. Also, firms need to give much

to make these forces turn to their advantage. This paper will indicate the UPS s

economy, social, and technology. UPS needs to give attention of the political
governments of the countries within which they operate. Because of the different
political instability that has been seen in some of these countries, the company must

9. Disadvantages Of Eye Surgery
There are many individuals who suffer from eye conditions that force them to wear
contact lenses and glasses as means of correcting their vision. In such cases, the
problem is usually with the shape of the lens in the eye, and the used of an extra lens
makes it much easier for people to focus.
However, there are other technologies that can be used for the same conditions. For
instance, the use of the latest eye surgery technology can help you achieve much
better results as compared to using the special lenses mentioned above. The only
thing that deters many people from using laser is the fact that most of them think
that it is a very expensive procedure, and that it may involve a lot of pain. However,
the latest eye surgery technology is not associated with such things, nowadays this
procedure has become more popular making it affordable to patients at lower prices.

Poetry is the representation of mental thoughts, it symbolize all the conflicts that
dominate the poets mind either from childhood memories or impressions laid

has something beforehand in mind which acts as an inspiration for his/her writing.
Every poet after being inspired need to present his mental agony or bliss in a way
that he be able to make his reader fathom the real and core meaning of the issues
tossing in his mind. The poet revamps and tries to convey his message in the form
of words which may or may not convey what he/she actually wants, so as at times

The Ballads consists of number of Indian mythical stories which originally in

descriptive techniques are very well presented in Ancient Ballads. If we keenly go
through the poem Savitri which is the opening poem of the Ancient Ballads her
understanding of the Hindu mythology and tales can be best noted here. This
poem being very long is the message for entire women living on earth, it describes
how the character of a women should be, the portrayal of Savitri is the portrayal of
every women. Toru represents Savitri as an example for all the women, her
qualities and virtues need to be followed by all the women. In the following lines
Toru very beautifully describes the firmness of Savitri who remain adhered to her
choice even though she knew the fate of her choice( her groom)

Frank Norris Jr. was born on 5th of March, 1870, in Chicago, Illinois, and was the
first of five children born to Gertrude Doggett Norris, an actress and Benjamin
Franklin Norris Sr., a wealthy owner of a wholesale jewelry business. Only two
boys beside Frank: Lester (died at age 9) and Charles, survived infancy. Due to
Frank s father s health problems, the Norris family moved to Oakland, California,
in 1882 and the following year settled in San Francisco. He attended a preparatory
school and Boys High School, however neither of which suited his limited interest
in schooling. He was then enrolled San Francisco Art Association, where he studied
painting. He studied art in London and Paris, however, his interest in painting soon
waned, and after two years he returned home. However, during his stay at Paris, he
was exposed to the naturalist novels of Emile Zola, where he decided literature was

12. Salem Witch Trials And The Witch Trial
First of all, I wanted to talk about what Salem Witch Trial is and who are the
persons involve in this event. Salem Witch Trials, according to Encyclopedia
Britannica is A series of investigations and persecutions that caused 19 convicted
witches to be hanged and many other many suspects to be imprisoned in Salem
Village in the Massachusetts Bay Colony. There are many people involve in Salem
Witch Trials and I ll be going to describe their role in this event, followed by the
different case studies of witches. Most of the people in Salem are Puritans.
Puritans have a different beliefs and lifestyle. They have high expectations in the
workforce and in holding back opinions and emotions. Puritans have strong faith in
God and they have the faith in the idea of covenants of God, Adam, and Abraham
so they have a strict moral code. Some of the Puritans are full covenant members
of the church so they are free and have full citizen rights. They believe that
everyone who have sinned must be punished and everyone who follows Satan is a
witch. Mary and William of Orange is the King and Queen of England issued a new

that this tendency applies to penis enlargement as well. While it s very natural that
every man should develop his own way of performing penis enlargement exercises in
order to suit his needs and preferences, there are also men who try to use not just one
but two or more penis enlargement techniques at the same time. Traction devices and

and that should be a big help when you need to do an exercises that requires a full or
partial erection. As you can see, there are some advantages to using pumps.
In general, homemade penis pumps are not an ideal approach to permanent penis
enlargement. But if you want a bigger penis instantly and can t wait for 12 weeks or
more, the penis pump should work just fine. However, you need to learn how to use

theater are deemed insignificant and unimportant because she is a woman and
women are supposed to cook, clean, and take care of children. Their role is not to

19. Film, Spirited Away, By Miyazaki Hayao
In Miyazaki Hayao s animated film, Spirited Away, Miyazaki presents a young girl
Chihiro who visits an abandoned amusement park, only to become trapped in a
fantasy world where spirits reside. Although most of these creatures are very
unique and quite unlike the others, most of them have one thing in common: their
body features are very disproportional compared to the size of their bodies. This
strange similarity depicted by Miyazaki invokes strong feelings of fear and
appreciation in particular for the viewer. While many characters have ominous,
creepy appearances similar to that of a ghost, they still have large eyes, blob
shaped bodies, and they make little to no noise. These three characteristics
emphasize the helplessness the cuteness of these creatures. The ominous
appearance of the characters does however quickly begin to clash more obviously
with their cute defining factors. In one early particular scene, Chihiro encounters a
radish spirit: a large, round creature whose body shape resembles a radish. At first,
the creature is threatening to the viewer, as it is large compared to most characters
and its appearance is foreign and bizarre. But even though the spirit appears scary,

20. Essay Multiple Sclerosis
Multiple sclerosis is a complex, autoimmune disease caused by damage of the fatty
myelin sheaths around axons of the brain and spinal cord which leads to
demyelination, lesions (scaring) and inflammation1, 2, 3. This damage leads to
disruption of nerve impulse along axons resulting in the many symptoms seen in
multiple sclerosispatients. Although its exact etiology is unknown, current research
indicates that multiple sclerosis is a complex combination of genetic and
environmental factors. It has been established that multiple sclerosis is not inherited
but research is being focused on genetic influence and suceptibility3. Like many other
diseases with genetic components to their etiology, disease risk for multiple sclerosis
can be... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Results are consistent with the IL2/IL2R pathway in its role of controlling
autoimmunity since the IL2/IL2R pathway controls immunity through proliferation
and survival of T cells. In addition this pathway maintains peripheral T cell tolerance,
which, when not kept in check by regulatory T cells will result in autoimmunity
leading to damage of the myelin sheaths around axons. Reduced function of
regulatory T cells has been detected in multiple sclerosis patients1, pointing to
reduced function of the IL2/IL2R pathway due to genotypic variation.
A similar study investigating the genetic role of IL7/IL7RA pathway in multiple
sclerosis susceptibility was conducted through genotyping and statistical analysis of
genotypic distributions, in multiple sclerosis patients and controls, who were
matched ethnically, by gender and age. Results show that polymorphisms in IL7 not
only indicate statistically significant association with the disease but higher estimated
genotype relative risks as well2. The IL7/ILRA pathway is involved in development,
maturation and survival of T and B cells, contributing to the body s immune system2.
Autoimmune response can result from the modified function of the pathway due to
genetic variation of IL7 or IL7RA genes. Results of the study show that genetic
variations in the IL7/IL7RA play an important role not only in the

differences between art and design, there have been two different conclusions. For
example, if you have an armchair but is only for decoration, would you say it is a
piece of furniture or a piece of art? Are they synonyms in their appearance or
practical purpose? How would one separate these two closely related objects? Many
of those who debate this topic argue that art and design differ in appearance;

Furthermore, if a design offers no functionality, it would be conveyed as a piece of
art. Such as a patterned vase or a classic harp are only decorated. If a piece of
furniture has no function, it could equally be argued that it is not a piece of
furniture in the first place (Banard.M, 2005: pp.173). There is another side to the
argument, however. Design can sometimes be considered a piece of art. It has now
reached the stage where artists such as Donald Judd are mentioned in the same
breath as the designer James Dyson and where a piece of furniture can be said to
become a piece of art (Banard.M, 2005: pp.173). Before it became a piece of art,
Tracey Emin s 1999 art installation My Bed was merely a piece of furniture for her
to sleep. This means something can be a piece of art or a design even though they
have the same extend appearance. Furthermore, paintings can usually be found in
interior design, besides those painted on the wall, they are same appearance with
paintings, which are displayed in a museum. As well as sculpture, the interior
designers in the seventeenth century used to put sculpture into their design. For
example, the Charlottenburg Palace in Munich, there were full of sculptures
decorated on the wall. Given these argument, would one say it is a part of interior
design in a museum, or is it a piece of art that separates from the interior design?

What is seen in the data is that there is not a steady decline in the reaction time
when you compare each column to the previous or next respectively. The time
increases when comparing Group A to Group B, but not Group B to Group C. The
same also applies to Group C to Group D and then a decrease from Group D to
Group E. Figure 1 shows a clearer picture of the RT when compared to all of the
reaction time. Even though the time decreases in some areas, there is clear increase
or RT when looking from the youngest to olderst. When looking at the graph, there is
statistical significancein some of the areas and not in others. All data was calculated
at a 95% confidence level. The difference from Group Ato Group B is only 0.2538
seconds, but when the data is compared to each other, the probability (P Value) is
0.000287. This is a significant difference between the two. From Group B to Group
C, there is a 0.01 second decrease in time, which has a P Value of 0.4698. This is not
a statistical difference and leaves room for this time to not be a normal outcome.
Group C and Group D has a 0.2289 seconds increase, but when calculated with the
raw data, there is no significant difference with a P Value of 0.0833. Group D to
Group E is a 0.1252 decrease with a P Value of 0.3719 making it not significant.
Group E to Group F has a 0.6351 second increase with a P Value of 0.0535 also not

24. Golden Booklet Of The True Christian Life Summary
Should a Believer s Life Evidence Growth?
John Calvin makes the assertion throughout his Golden Booklet of the True
Christian Life that a believer s life should show growth and spiritual progress.
According to the Christian teachings, Calvin s assertions are correct. Calvin argues
that because Christians believe that their lives belong to the Lord, they are to follow
His plan for their lives, strive to better the lives of others, and show appreciation for
God s blessings. The central idea that Calvin bases most of his claims on in his
booklet is the idea that Christians should walk in the beauty of God s law , so that
the claims of belief and trust in God that Christians make are exhibited outwardly in
the way that they live their lives (15). In theory, if believers do conduct their lives in
an effort to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He is very clear that this includes both friend and foe (37). This is in itself an
embodiment of the first argument that people should live in an effort to fulfill
God s plan. If a person strives to encourage and help their fellow humans, Calvin
would argue that this is the very will of God. The outcome of their good intentions
should display relational growth in both their community and their personal lives.
By showing good will toward others, humans are displaying their appreciation for
God s creation, for He himself created humans. Calvin even goes so far as to say
that Christians should do more than just be nice to people; he says that they should
sympathize with them, and so their best to offer assistance or condolence in times of
hardship (39). Calvin borrows Paul s example of the body in reference to the church,
saying that each part of the body depends on the others in order to run smoothly and
effectively (40). By doing their best to improve the lives of those around them,
Christians encourage growth both in the church and in their own
25. The Anxiety Of Anxiety And Hopelessness
Introduction
Hopelessness
Feelings of helplessness and hopelessness are common in people who are unhappy.
There are also some most irritating, annoying and depress feelings that repress
individual s skill. Cognitive theory of depression research has shown that people
with depression are struggling with the feelings of hopelessness instead of people
who have no depression (Sacco and Beck, 1995). A sense of hopelessness reflects a
negative view of the outlook. This includes failure, and a persistence of pain and
difficulty, and expectations of personal pleasure, a belief that nothing will get
better. Thoughts of negative self also reflect by hopelessness. Depressed
individuals view themselves more unresponsively, their self esteem suffers, and
they have little or no self confidence. They do not believe they have any control or
that they can help themselves to feel better. They may have an urge to give up and
think, What s the use? Research has also indicated that severe hopelessness may be
a forecaster of suicide (Beck, 1987; Fawcett, 1990) Hopelessness is conceptualized
as an individual s negative anticipation regarding the future and it is characterized by
negative emotions, pessimistic expectations, and loss of happiness in life (Beck,
Weismann, Lester, and Trexler, 1974; Heliman, Coffey Lover, Frutos. 2004)
Hopelessness is having no expectations of good or success, despondent, not
vulnerable to remedy or cure, incapable of redemption or improvement.

Profit and Non profits organizations share the common goal of creating a product that
will ultimately generate a surplus. The uses of the surplus are where the two
organizations differ. Non profits organizations take their surplus revenues to further
achieve their purpose or mission often aligned with some social challenge. Profit
organizations take their surplus and distribute it to the organizations shareholder s as
profit or dividends. In order to be successful, profit and non profit organizations need
have a strong marketingand public relationsplan to ensure their organization is
competitive and relevant to the consumer not only today but in the future as well.
Statement of The Issue Organizations should maintain effective marking and public
relations plans to remain competitive and viable in a society that is consistently
changing. It is important for an organization to have a purpose that is focused on
maintaining consumers for duration of times rather than a short period until the next
invention (Levitt, 2004). The issues is as new technology and invention continue to
be discovered organizations must ensure they have a broad definition of their
organization and maintain a close pulse of the customers needs to ensure the
business grows with the needs of its consumers in mind and not simply a product
they are trying to sell (Levitt, 2004). One example of having a broad definition for
your organization is to think larger, rather than a cell phone company a company

In 1692, a series of accusations of witchcraft took place in Salem, Massachusetts.
Over the course of the six month hysteria, roughly 150 residents of Salem were
accused of witchcraft, twenty of whom were put to death. This period has come to
be known as the Salem Witch Trials. The Salem Witch Trials began when two young
girls in Salem began to act strangely; they would often slip into transes, murmur
strange phrases, and their bodies would become convoluted via spasms and seizure
like fits. Reverend Parris, the minister of Salem Village at the time of the trials,
proposed witchcraftas an explanation for the girls symptoms. A local doctor s
diagnosis confirmed these suspicions, and shortly thereafter, several other girls in the

sister and I played at the park everyday, until it got dark outside. It was fun because

Forest Hill Paper Company (FHPC) is a small, closely held paperboard
manufacturer that produces a broad line of paperboard in large reels, termed
parent rolls. These parent rolls are sold to converters who further process them
into containers used for a diverse line of consumer products, such as packaging for
microwavable meals. The owners of FHPC have long pursued the strategy of
producing a full range of products. As a small company competing against large
companies in a commodity market, management believes Forest Hill must offer a

Chemicals used in the digestor are reclaimed and reused in future pulp production.
Following the digesting process, the naturally brown fibers are washed and screened.
A bleaching process converts brown pulp into white pulp. The paperboard
manufacturing process begins by mixing pulp with water and chemicals in the first
stage, or headbox, of a paper machine. The mixture is applied to a porous wire
mesh; formation of paper actually occurs within this step. The wire mesh travels
through a press that forces the pulp mixture against the wire to eliminate water
within the mixture and to form the desired paper thickness. The material then
proceeds to a drying section where it travels across numerous cylindrical dryers
that are heated with steam. In the final section of the paper machine, long sections
of paperboard (approximately five miles long and weighing ten tons) are rolled up
into parent rolls and are removed from the machine. The parent roll is further
processed by FHPC s customers to make various types of paperboard containers.
Sometimes customers require additional processing on parent rolls. For example,
food processors often require widths of 18 inches, rather than the standard width of
a reel (approximately 12 feet). Thus, reels are loaded onto a rewinder slitter to
produce eight reels 18 inches wide from one 12 foot wide reel. For convenience,
Forest Hill had always combined labor and machine costs of the rewinder slitter with

offences. Exploring the crime throughout history and during the present day, so

Definitions
Crime is defined in the oxford dictionary as An action or omission which constitutes
an offence and is punishable by law. Criminologists look at change within the law,
media reactions and statistical trend; to create theoretical views and concepts to
explain crime and the criminal mind. A sexual offence is defined in the oxford
dictionary as The action or an act of forcing an unconsenting person to engage in
sexual activity; a rape; (Law) a crime involving forced sexual contact, variously
defined as inclusive or exclusive of rape. Actual definitions are important in the
understanding of a specific crime type and are regularly updated, especially when
it comes to consent; through history, what acts as consent has been contested.
Consent as of 2003 has been defined in section 74 of the sexual offences act (2003)
if he agrees by choice, and has the freedom and capacity to make that choice (CPS,
2017). This means that consent may be implied, but can be withdrawn at any point.
A sexual offence occurs if a sexual act occurs on the

Should music with curse words be allowed at school dances?
I think that music with curse words should be allowed in school dances. I think
this because usually songs without a couple curse words don t have a good beat.
Songs with curse words have a really good beat. Without a good beat the mood at the
dance isn t very high because there is nothing to dance to. Our school usually has a
killer dance. There is a lot of people that are dancing and in the gym. When a bad
song comes on that doesn t have a beat or any curse words, everyone goes into the

Apart from law and order there were many other problems in mining towns. The
majority of the population were males and built their own cabins, this meant they
were probably not very good or safe. Also they did there own cooking, which
probably wasn t the best diet and probably got food poisoning often. There was an
epidemic of typhoid in fall and early winter but there were no deaths, which show
there were healthy and strong. The houses had no drains and most houses were badly
kept so the houses were most likely dirty.
The problems of law and order in early western towns can be studied using the
sources these show lots of lawlessness in towns and murdering. One source shows a
bank robbery, this is proof that the towns did not have any policing. The source
shows also that a few vigilantes on the scene, further proof that the towns were
lawless. Vigilantes were present because of the lack of law that there was in the
towns. They felt it necessary that law had to be imposed on the town other wise it
could fall apart.
Another source shows a notice from vigilantes pinned to a man hung for murder.
This is useful because it shows the vigilantes taken the law into there own hands. It
also states the reasons for the vigilantes forming, it tells us that life and security is
too sacred to not be protected so they will resort to these means even if it means
killing

INTRODUCTION Through the course of this paper I will introduce and discuss the
history of the movement towards an actively and engaged antitrust legislation. I will
also identify the original and early antitrust laws and how they have influenced the
economy, as we know it today. Upon the completion of this paper you will understand
who was set to benefit (gain) from anti legislation and who loses under the intentions
of the antitrust laws today and in the past.
LITERATURE REVIEW The United States antitrust legislation is a legislation
designed to break up and prevent the formation of new monopolies to increase
competition and societal welfare. Thus the United State Antitrust law is a collection
of both state and federal government laws enacted to promote fair competition in the
economy. The antitrust laws main statutes consist of the Sherman Act of 1890, the
Clayton Act of 1914 and the Federal Trade Commission Act of 1914. In combination
these acts have enforced the proper rules and regulations that businesses must
conform to today to ensure that there is a healthy competition within the economy to
not only the benefit of the consumers who utilize these services and goods but for the
health of the businesses who make up our market industries. While Rockefeller s
Standard Oil is a well known example of an early monopoly a few other examples of
early monopolistic companies are known as The Whisky Trust, and the Tobacco
Trust, Sugar Trust and J.P. Morgan s U.S. Steel

No man can be a good citizen unless he has a wage more than sufficient to cover the
bare cost of living, and hours of labor short enough so that after his day s work is
done he will have time and energy to bear his share in the management of the
community, to help in carrying the general load. We keep countless men from being
good citizens by the conditions of life with which we surround them. We need
comprehensive workmen s compensation acts, both State and national laws to
regulate child labor and work for women, said 26th president of United States
Theodore Roosevelt as he was explaining how industrialization had ruined people s
lives ( Colby 515). Industrialization is defined as the large scale introduction of
manufacturing, advanced technical enterprises, and other productive economic
activity into a society. Industrialization is a huge aspect of society and especially in
America. After the American Civil War in 1861, a lot southern plantation owners
were living in poverty because they lost their land. Emancipated slaves were also
living in poverty because most them didn t have a job, but as industrialization grew
in America, more people were attracted to the cities up North. A lot of southerners
and emancipated slaves traveled up North because of job opportunities. But this
proved to be a horrible mistake. These people were working in gruesome conditions
and were exploited. So the question is, what does industrialization do to a society?

pneumonia which was a result of breathing the dust in. These dust storms would trap
plains settlers in their homes for hours, days at a time. This series of dust storms is
better known as the Dust Bowl. It forced 3 million settlers out of their homes.
Drought, increased mechanization, and destruction of grass all lead to the Dust
Bowl. It all started with a drought in the Midwest in the 1930s. The great western
explorer , John Wesley Powell, determined that 20 inches of rain annually was the
minimum for successful farming. (Doc. E). High Plains Regional... Show more

According to the Great Plain Drought Area Committee Report (Doc. D), in 1879,
10 million acres of crop were harvested. 20 years later, in 1899, 50 million acres of
crops were harvested, 5 times more crops than in 1879. In 1929, that number more
than doubled to a 105 million acres of crops that were harvested. How did happen?
Farming technology advanced rapidly from 1879 to 1929. In The Worst Hard
Time by Timothy Egan (Doc. C), Egan wrote, A tractor did the work of ten horses.
With his new combine, Folkers could cut and thresh the grain in one swoop, using
just a fraction of the labor. The new farming technology made farming faster and it
required less labor. Farmers had this new technology and used it to plow more land.
Millions of acres were being plowed and farmed on and with the dry soil and no
grass to keep it on the ground the dust became airborne and started grouping together
and creating terrible storms.
Drought, destroying the natural grass, and increased mechanization caused a
series of terrible storms lasting almost a decade. The Dust Bowl is so important
today because there is a high demand for food and water since more people live
here in America. We know not to make to same mistakes that farmers made almost
90 years ago. The Dust Bowl serves as a warning for the future, a warning to keep our
lands healthy and always look
41. Strategic Dimensions Of Sourcing And Shoring Techniques
. Strategic Dimensions of Sourcing and Shoring Techniques
There are a multitude of strategic dimensions associated with sourcing and shoring
techniques in the marketplace, conducting business abroad, and conducting business
on the home front, or near the home place. These strategic dimensions include (a)
domestic outsourcing (b) insourcing (c) backsourcing (d) offshoring (e) offshore
outsourcing (f) onshoring (g) nearshoring (h) strategic outsourcing (i) business
process outsourcing (BPO) and (j) offshore service providers (OSPs). These sourcing
and shoring techniques can be complicated to understand. Domestic outsourcing is
when a company decides to let go of an in house job to go to another domestic
company to perform (Koku, 2009). Insourcing is bringing back work internally that
was previously outsourced (Nodoushani McKnight, 2012). Backsourcing is
rescinding the product or service back to the home country where it came from
originally. Offshoring is when a company from one country outsources work to
businesses in another country by either conducting operations in the foreign country,
or subcontracting this work out through outsource providers who then transfer this
work overseas (Chadee Ramen, 2009; Koku, 2009).
Offshore outsourcing is a hybrid of domestic outsourcing and offshoring, in which a
company totally transfers jobs to another company that is foreign based which has no
relation whatsoever to the domestic affiliate, for example, Delta Airlines contracting
42. Lord Elgin Statues Research Paper
The Elgin Marbles are known to be a collection of stone sculptures that were acquired
by Lord Elgin (British) from the Parthenon in Athens between the years 1801 and
1805. During Greece s Turkish occupation, they believe that these sculptures were
taken illegally, and morally should be returned. The Greeks have demanded that the
sculptures be returned back their homeland. Yet, the British believe that Lord Elgin
purchased the statues legally from the Ottoman Empire before Greece had won its
independence. They anticipated it setting a significant level of importance for major
museums if the statues were ever returned. Unfortunately, proof doesn t exist to show
that Lord Elgin actually had permission to take all of the sculptures. Proof exists
43. Personal Narrative Essay On Being Homeless
No amount of sleep in the world could cure the tiredness I feel. I don t know where
I found the quote, probably on my endless hours scrolling through the internet, but
it was my favorite quote and it somewhat applied to my life. Although, my life
wasn t the worst (I could have been homeless or had cancer) it was generally
unbelievably boring. You would expect a teenage girl like me to go to an endless
amount of parties... or maybe actually go outside once in awhile, but that was just
not me. I preferred to be on my bed, curled up in the blankets rereading my favorite
books or thinking about how my every action is all but insignificant in the grand
scheme of things (Clarissa, she s my best friend since pre k, calls those my
existential crisis ).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
My eyes shot open and I took a large gasping breath. For a moment I thought that I
was in heaven with all the bright white light around me. I tried to move my neck to
see where I was or if anyone was around me, but I felt a searing pain course through
my body. It felt like someone was jackhammering against my soul. I felt like I had
been shoved down the garbage disposal, and I was in tiny chunks where all my tiny
nerves were being fried by electricity. I didn t have that moment of peaceful
forgetfulness that people have in the movies. I immediately remembered how I
felt my bones snapped seemingly in half and how I tried to call out to Clary, but
my voice didn t work and I didn t know if she was okay. Every bone in my body
was aching, but I had to prioritize. First on my list was to find Clary and apologize
for us getting into a car crash. That s if she s even alive, said that ever present
pessimistic voice inside my head. But I refused to think about that, the only thing
that was keeping me from breaking down and sobbing was the hope of seeing my
best friend. I got off of my mind tangent and tried to stay focused. After apologizing
to Clary, I would have to apologize to Katherine; I had crashed her new car. Back on
track, step one finding Clary. I slowly turned my head to the side to see if any doctors
or nurses were in my viewing range
44. Community-Based Juvenile Prevention
Community Based Juvenile Prevention Programs presents the most appropriate
solution to juvenile challenges across the United States. The country should promote
community based juvenile prevention programs because the programs offer practical
and more cost effective solution to juvenile problems compared to the formal juvenile
justice system. The programs are superior because they promote adolescent
development, keep the community safe, and more cost effective compared to the
formal juvenile justice system. Also, the programs safeguard the youths from the
harm caused by incarceration and the processes of the formal juvenile justice system.

which may contribute negatively to their employment chances, as well as, their future

45. Similarities And Differences Of A Happy Medium
Similarities and Differences: A Happy Medium?
The world is full of differences. No two persons are the same, not even identical
twins. Amidst all the differences, the world is also full of similarities. The
differences in the world has resulted in a more unique and beautiful world. While the
similarities have enabled the world to be more flexible in its understanding. It is
important to recognize that both, similarities and differences exist, in the quest to
produce a more effective world. This paper will explore how an emphasis on
similarity is better than an emphasis on difference, in terms of unifying the world, by

It has no office space of its own... Meetings are usually hour long sessions, punctuated
by bursts of laughter, during which the group plans upcoming events speakers,

With these statements, Loffreda provided a picture of the people within the

an amazing group of people who were capable enjoying life just as the next person.

also adopted by Siebert when he wrote
When an elephant dies, its family members engage in intense mourning and burial
rituals, conducting weeklong vigils over the body, carefully covering it with earth
and brush, revisiting the bones for years afterward, caressing the bones with their
trunks, often taking turns rubbing their trunks along the teeth of a skull s lower jaw,
the way living elephants do in greeting (Siebert, 35).
This quote the ritual that elephant have within their community. Just as humans visit
the grave of a lost one, and miss them dearly, the same is true for elephant. Though
they are enormous creatures in comparison to humans, both are still quite the same.
Furthermore, the humanization of other by emphasizing similarity invokes an

47. Invention Exhibit Each Area
In the Places of Invention exhibit each area was sectioned based upon time, color,
and geographic location. The visitor took a colorful journey through time across
the United States. The materials used for the exhibit includes plexiglass, sintra,
plywood, glass, metal, quartz like material, and plastic kickboards. The pexiglass
was placed over laminated pieces of sintra or plywood to create the signs. The
signage and wall text was mostly white with boarders of the section s theme colorand
the texts in black. Many of the signs and wall pieces had objects (gears, headphone,
and cystoscopes) printed into paper behind the pexiglass. The base of the case
hold the artifacts were metal and the covering for the cases was made of glass. The
Hartford section used dark orange, brownish orange, and lighter orange. The
additional color used for signage and wall text where white with black text which
made it easier for the guest to read in the low lighting. The color orange is
associated with creativity, change and determination. This goes well with the tone of
the Hartford section because it discusses the 1800s in a factory town where the
boom of the industrial revolution was taking place, a time of intense creativity and
change. In the Medical Alley section the design team used red. This section
discussed medical invention of pacemakers and how open heart surgery was
revolutionized. I feel red was very fitting because it made the section feel intense. In
this section the red
