The Contemporary World: Globalization of World PoliticsRommel Regala
This course introduces students to the contemporary world by examining the multifaceted phenomenon of globalization. Using the various disciplines of the social sciences, it examines the economic, social, political, technological, and other transformations that have created an increasing awareness of the interconnectedness of peoples and places around the globe. To this end, the course provides an overview of the various debates in global governance, development, and sustainability. Beyond exposing the student to the world outside the Philippines, it seeks to inculcate a sense of global citizenship and goal ethical responsibility.
Globalization represents an unavoidable phenomenon in the history of mankind, which is making the world smaller and smaller by increasing the exchange of goods, services, information, knowledge and cultures between different countries, therefore, it is very important to understand the "why, where, what and how" of our current situation.
In this module, you will journey to the very heart of this course: you will be asked to identify the challenges posed by globalization and consider responses to these challenges as demonstrated by experiences on the ground. For this purpose, students will produce case studies of communities (in the Philippines and other countries) experiencing the impact of globalization and their respective responses to issues that arise. There are global-civic societies engaged in advocacies relating to climate and environmental protection, for example, human trafficking across borders, the application of advances in science and technology to serve some of the world’s poorest communities, and so on. There are, too, communities that have managed, in varying degrees of success, to deal with the effects, good and bad, of globalization.

For the most part, science’s reputation stems from the objectivity brought upon by an arbitrary, rigid methodology whose very character absolves it from any accusation of prejudice.
Such infamy effectively raised science in a pedestal untouchable by other institutions- its sole claim to reason and empiricism-garnering supporters who want to defend it and its ways. According to Heidegger “ Technology is a human activity that we excel in as a result of achieving science”
The end goals of both science and technology and human flourishing are related, in that the good is inherently related to the truth.
The following are two concepts about science which ventures its claim on truth.

The paper arises many questions related to issues covered under the concept of sustainable development. Sustainable development mainly focuses on quality of life which is highly dependent upon use of natural resources and thus these resources must be sustained. The present concept of sustainable global enterprise will help to achieve three basic goals known as corporate responsibility, environmental protection and social responsiveness. The concept of sustainable development also focuses on issues related to women as they play a significant role in policy of sustainable development. Women issues are basically linked with population and fertility. The development process worldwide has contributed to increase in economic and social inequalities, environment degradation and has also led to growth in poverty.
"Climate Crunch" : Scenarios for the global economic environmentFERMA
"Climate Crunch" : Scenarios for the global economic environment.
The recently published Global Risks 2014 report of the World Economic Forum identifies environmental risks as highest in terms of impact and likelihood. Those risks include both natural disasters, such as earthquakes and geomagnetic storms, and man-made risks such as
collapsing ecosystems, freshwater shortages, nuclear accidents and failure to mitigate or adapt to climate change. Failure of climate change mitigation and
adaptation is the fifth top risk concern according to
multi-stakeholders communities (see figure beside).
Climate change is evidence proven and this paper doesn’t intend to explore the causes. However, one can state that climate change is a systemic problem – it is one that touches all the others. As such by its systemic nature, it can cause breakdowns of entire systems and not only a component part. (

how to sell pi coins in South Korea profitably.DOT TECH
Yes. You can sell your pi network coins in South Korea or any other country, by finding a verified pi merchant
What is a verified pi merchant?
Since pi network is not launched yet on any exchange, the only way you can sell pi coins is by selling to a verified pi merchant, and this is because pi network is not launched yet on any exchange and no pre-sale or ico offerings Is done on pi.
Since there is no pre-sale, the only way exchanges can get pi is by buying from miners. So a pi merchant facilitates these transactions by acting as a bridge for both transactions.
How can i find a pi vendor/merchant?
Well for those who haven't traded with a pi merchant or who don't already have one. I will leave the telegram id of my personal pi merchant who i trade pi with.

what is the future of Pi Network currency.DOT TECH
The future of the Pi cryptocurrency is uncertain, and its success will depend on several factors. Pi is a relatively new cryptocurrency that aims to be user-friendly and accessible to a wide audience. Here are a few key considerations for its future:
Message: @Pi_vendor_247 on telegram if u want to sell PI COINS.
1. Mainnet Launch: As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, Pi was still in the testnet phase. Its success will depend on a successful transition to a mainnet, where actual transactions can take place.
2. User Adoption: Pi's success will be closely tied to user adoption. The more users who join the network and actively participate, the stronger the ecosystem can become.
3. Utility and Use Cases: For a cryptocurrency to thrive, it must offer utility and practical use cases. The Pi team has talked about various applications, including peer-to-peer transactions, smart contracts, and more. The development and implementation of these features will be essential.
4. Regulatory Environment: The regulatory environment for cryptocurrencies is evolving globally. How Pi navigates and complies with regulations in various jurisdictions will significantly impact its future.
5. Technology Development: The Pi network must continue to develop and improve its technology, security, and scalability to compete with established cryptocurrencies.
6. Community Engagement: The Pi community plays a critical role in its future. Engaged users can help build trust and grow the network.
7. Monetization and Sustainability: The Pi team's monetization strategy, such as fees, partnerships, or other revenue sources, will affect its long-term sustainability.
It's essential to approach Pi or any new cryptocurrency with caution and conduct due diligence. Cryptocurrency investments involve risks, and potential rewards can be uncertain. The success and future of Pi will depend on the collective efforts of its team, community, and the broader cryptocurrency market dynamics. It's advisable to stay updated on Pi's development and follow any updates from the official Pi Network website or announcements from the team.
how can I sell pi coins after successfully completing KYCDOT TECH
Pi coins is not launched yet in any exchange 💱 this means it's not swappable, the current pi displaying on coin market cap is the iou version of pi. And you can learn all about that on my previous post.
RIGHT NOW THE ONLY WAY you can sell pi coins is through verified pi merchants. A pi merchant is someone who buys pi coins and resell them to exchanges and crypto whales. Looking forward to hold massive quantities of pi coins before the mainnet launch.
This is because pi network is not doing any pre-sale or ico offerings, the only way to get my coins is from buying from miners. So a merchant facilitates the transactions between the miners and these exchanges holding pi.
I and my friends has sold more than 6000 pi coins successfully with this method. I will be happy to share the contact of my personal pi merchant. The one i trade with, if you have your own merchant you can trade with them. For those who are new.

As of my last update, Pi is still in the testing phase and is not tradable on any exchanges.
However, Pi Network has announced plans to launch its Testnet and Mainnet in the future, which may include listing Pi on exchanges.
The current method for selling pi coins involves exchanging them with a pi vendor who purchases pi coins for investment reasons.
If you want to sell your pi coins, reach out to a pi vendor and sell them to anyone looking to sell pi coins from any country around the globe.

US Economic Outlook - Being Decided - M Capital Group August 2021.pdfpchutichetpong
The U.S. economy is continuing its impressive recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and not slowing down despite re-occurring bumps. The U.S. savings rate reached its highest ever recorded level at 34% in April 2020 and Americans seem ready to spend. The sectors that had been hurt the most by the pandemic specifically reduced consumer spending, like retail, leisure, hospitality, and travel, are now experiencing massive growth in revenue and job openings.
Could this growth lead to a “Roaring Twenties”? As quickly as the U.S. economy contracted, experiencing a 9.1% drop in economic output relative to the business cycle in Q2 2020, the largest in recorded history, it has rebounded beyond expectations. This surprising growth seems to be fueled by the U.S. government’s aggressive fiscal and monetary policies, and an increase in consumer spending as mobility restrictions are lifted. Unemployment rates between June 2020 and June 2021 decreased by 5.2%, while the demand for labor is increasing, coupled with increasing wages to incentivize Americans to rejoin the labor force. Schools and businesses are expected to fully reopen soon. In parallel, vaccination rates across the country and the world continue to rise, with full vaccination rates of 50% and 14.8% respectively.
However, it is not completely smooth sailing from here. According to M Capital Group, the main risks that threaten the continued growth of the U.S. economy are inflation, unsettled trade relations, and another wave of Covid-19 mutations that could shut down the world again. Have we learned from the past year of COVID-19 and adapted our economy accordingly?
“In order for the U.S. economy to continue growing, whether there is another wave or not, the U.S. needs to focus on diversifying supply chains, supporting business investment, and maintaining consumer spending,” says Grace Feeley, a research analyst at M Capital Group.
While the economic indicators are positive, the risks are coming closer to manifesting and threatening such growth. The new variants spreading throughout the world, Delta, Lambda, and Gamma, are vaccine-resistant and muddy the predictions made about the economy and health of the country. These variants bring back the feeling of uncertainty that has wreaked havoc not only on the stock market but the mindset of people around the world. MCG provides unique insight on how to mitigate these risks to possibly ensure a bright economic future.

Essay globalization
1. GLOBAL INTEGRATION: ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES
Globalization is the process by which different societies, cultures, and regional
economies integrate through a worldwide network of political ideas through
transportation, communication, and trade. Generally, globalization has affected many
nations in various ways; economically, politically, and socially. It is a term that refers
to the fast integration and interdependence of various nations, which shapes the world
affairs on a global level. Globalization has affected the products people consume, the
environment, culture, security, and idea exchange between different countries. There
are many factors that lead to the speedy globalization trends. This acceleration in
globalization can be attributed to an increase in free-trade activities, emerging
technologies, or the worldwide acceptance of markets.
Globalization has affected cultures and economies on matters dealing with
environmental destruction and availability of the already limited resources.
Globalization has had diverse implications for environmental issues such as,
pollution, deforestation, water resources climate change, and biodiversity loss. The
rampant environmental problems have become the subject of international efforts
because the effects are felt globally. The negative impacts of globalization focus on
the destruction on the environment that is export-oriented. On the other hand, the
positive impacts are the multinational companies' research into technology that is
eco-friendly and an increase in environmental awareness.
A major impact of globalization on the environment is that, there is an
improvement on the use of resources and the awareness of environment degradation.
Due to issues dealing with globalization, a lot of research is being carried out on
progressing greener technology, which will replace current ones that harm the
environment. Globalization has also helped in the improvement of resources to save
the environment by the promotion of growth through improvement of incomes and
education. For example, the World Bank aided Mexico in reducing unhealthy ozone
days during the 1990s. Moreover, multinational companies are on the forefront
creating technologies that will reduce their adverse effects on the environment. For
example, hybrid cars are being developed that will economize fuel, as well as, lower
2. gaseous emissions to the environment. Apple is also aim at manufacturing products
that are eco-friendly.
Unfortunately, the negative impacts of globalization have outweighed the
positive effects. On a global level, natural resources are being overused. This is
because there has been a rise in demand and ecosystem removal, as a result of
population growth. The need for disposable products has caused logging to be on the
increase, which result into extensive deforestation. About half of the indigenous
forests that covered the earth in the past have been depleted. Deforestation is on the
increase year by year. Moreover, over-fishing is also becoming a global problem. A
study by the United Nations reveals that commercial species of fish have been over-
exploited.
Globalization has also affected negatively the environment through global
warming. This is as a result of greenhouse gas emissions caused by rapid
industrialization in the developing world, and a heavy dependence on fossil fuels.
The average global temperatures have increased tremendously over the past years. In
addition, the transport sector and gases from factories have immensely contributed to
global warming.
Globalization has been a scientific debate concerning structural change in the
earth's ecology; it has in the past become a controversy. There has been linkage
between environmental decay, trade and support, government, and globalization.
Activities that are required for industry and trade use a lot of energy resources. The
misuse of these resources causes air pollution, acid rain or global warming.
Globalization affects education in that, the direction and objectives that
education had previously, has to change. The idea that education is a public service
has to be abandoned. It has been replaced with the idea that education is at the service
of economies; that is as a personal investment. International organizations have
increasingly become involved with the educational sector. Recently, the World Trade
Organizations and the World Bank have proposed the privatization of this sector.
These policies aim at adapting the contents of education globally to the needs of
employment. They also aim at creating an education system that is efficient and
profitable.
3. There has been a massive spread in education at all levels. The consequences
of schools that are widely available are as a result of the globalization process. As
part and parcel of globalization, education is seen as a factor that contributes a lot to
democracy on a global level. The different forces that affect globalization have
tremendously affected the operations of educators. Moreover, it has affected the
experience associated with formal and informal sector. For example, some schooling
institutions have become the targets for various corporate expansion, as well as, sites
for branding. Many policies that affect the educational sector are directed towards
markets.
Globalization has made education look like a private affair, and no longer
public. This marketization process has led to privatization of the educational sector in
a number of nations. In the United States, higher education has been seen to be a
lucrative market for privatization. Various State schools have been contracted out to
various companies that are private.
Globalization has affected the nature of the agencies that people go to school.
There have been numerous changes in educational technologies. Distance learning
has grown tremendously, and there is more use of internet and other computer forms.
This advancement in technologies allows people from different nations to participate
in the same programs; student contact can be across far distances.
Various educational systems have undergone a transition in response to the
impacts of technology and globalization. Educators and policy makers need to put in
place models that take advantage of the opportunities and challenges brought about
by globalization. It is vital to note that, global initiatives have affected the roles of
universities in the economy, community colleges, decentralization, and the curricula .
With globalization on the rise, many aspects have to change for the well-being
of the global village. The forces that push globalization pose new challenges to
education in lifelong training of students in schools and universities. Many policy
makers and governments should ask themselves: To what extend is education
affected by globalization? How is it changing the conditions of the existing
educational systems?
4. With all these in mind, globalization seems to affect education by transforming
the teaching and learning processes. The most significant question is how is the
current move toward economic restructuring affecting educational systems globally?
While, education seems to be a key factor in globalization, what role does education
play in shaping values, attitudes, and understanding of a citizen, who is multicultured
and part of the cosmopolitan world? In order to meet the existing challenges
presented by globalization, individuals should be prepared to work in a changing
environment, with constant networking.
Globalization has affected human health and development in a number of
ways; some positive while others are negative. The liberalization of trade in
agricultural products leads to economic benefits in poorer countries that are short
term. This will then improve the human health depending on the equitability of the
allocation of these benefits. Globalization has reshaped the social arena that nations
get involved in prevention of disease or improvisation of health. Health problems
have crossed over national boundaries. It is due to cooperation on a global level that
such issues may be affected.
The impact of globalization on health is in various forms. With globalization,
harmful products can bring disastrous implications worldwide. There is an increase in
the free trade of foods, drugs, medicine and other forms of substances that pose
damages to health. Moreover, with efficiency in cross-border communications, the
health sector has remained to be a benefit in the use of e-mail and internet.
Information and knowledge dealing with health matters are free, which facilitates
telemedicine and telehealth.
Globalization can be used for advancements in health. The increased
cooperation between countries is very effective in the event of arresting the spread of
diseases that are communicable in nature. On the other hand, by harmonizing food
and drug standards and regulations, developing nations end up benefitting in health
issues. . Some discussions focusing on globalization effects on health have pointed
out the fear that, the increase in migration of people from poorer countries into
developed nations creates a complex issue in healthcare systems.
5. In conclusion, globalization is a serious issue that affects many nations.
Researchers should analyze these impacts carefully so as to prevent the negative
impacts. It is essential to note that the force behind globalization cannot be stopped. It
is therefore essential that all nations create forms of globalization that are
environmentally and socially sustainable. These forms should be more beneficial to
all humanity and reduce costs. Indirect impacts of globalization on health operate
through the national economy, for example, effects of trade liberalization, and the
financial flows on resources for health expenditures. Direct affecting of globalization
on health is on health systems, as well as, policies of multilateral trade signings and
agreements.
