Essay Examples About Yourself
Writing an essay about oneself may seem like a straightforward task, but delving into the
intricacies of self-reflection and articulating one's experiences can prove to be a challenging
endeavor. The difficulty lies not only in presenting a coherent narrative but also in striking a
balance between self-expression and humility. Crafting an essay about yourself requires a
delicate dance between sharing personal anecdotes and maintaining a level of objectivity.
One of the challenges is avoiding the pitfall of self-aggrandizement while still highlighting
accomplishments and personal growth. Striking the right tone can be akin to walking on a
tightrope, as too much self-promotion can come off as boastful, while too much self-deprecation
might undermine the purpose of the essay. It's a delicate balance that demands a keen awareness
of one's own story and its resonance with the intended audience.
Additionally, finding the right examples to illustrate key points is crucial. The challenge here is
to select anecdotes and experiences that not only showcase personal qualities but also resonate
with the reader. It involves a careful curation of life events that align with the overall theme of
the essay and contribute to a cohesive narrative.
Furthermore, the task becomes intricate when considering the need for introspection. To truly
connect with the reader, the essay must go beyond the surface and explore deeper emotions and
motivations. Unveiling vulnerabilities can be intimidating, and choosing the right words to
convey these emotions can be a daunting task.
Another layer of difficulty arises in maintaining a balance between authenticity and the desire to
present the best version of oneself. The fear of judgment can lead to self-censorship, hindering
the essay's ability to truly reflect the complexity of one's character. Struggling with the tension
between openness and self-preservation can add an extra layer of difficulty to the writing
process.
In conclusion, writing an essay about oneself is not just a matter of narrating personal
experiences; it's an intricate process that requires self-awareness, humility, and the ability to strike
the right emotional chords with the reader. It's a journey that demands both courage and finesse
to navigate the fine line between self-promotion and genuine self-revelation.

Exploratory Research Philosophy Paper
With the understanding of the research philosophy and the selection of the
appropriate approach made above, now it is much easier to strategize the type of
research to solve the research problem and its sub problems. There are many
strategies in research. The most common ones are experimenting, survey, case study,
action research, grounded theory, ethnography and archival research.
Before deciding the strategy for the research, it is important to understand the
purpose of this research. Is it intended to explore or describe or explain the
phenomena? The exploratory research is intended to gain the base information about
the problem by defining the terms, explore the root of the problem, testing hypothesis
and provide a solution to the problem.
Comparing Burning Chrome And Johnny Mnemonic
In the short story Burning Chrome by William Gibson and the movie Johnny
Mnemonic combined 3 elements between human beings and technology, which is
hard science fiction, soft science fiction, and the higher technical development of
technology in the future cyberpunk. Besides that, William Gibson had mentioned
about the cyborg, they are part humanand part machine, but what does it mean to be a
cyborg and what do cyborg say about the relationships between human beings and
technology? The idea about cyborgs, and the relationship between humans and
technology are being very significant, the technology helping humans to store a ton of

They started to create cyborgs by implanting technology machine into humans,
making normal human being impossible to go again those cyborgs. The first sign
that showed how cyborgs had been applied to the main character of the book
(Johnny) when on page 2. Johnny says, I had hundred of megabytes stashed in my
head on an idiot/savant basis, information I had no conscious access to. As you can
see that, Johnny was impacted by the implanting technology into his head, he
became intelligent most likely like a robot, which he could store a large amount of
data in his brain and he becomes more agile. In addition, Jones the dolphin in the
story is the only one character known as the cyborgs . It is unrealistic to believe
that an animal could become cyborgs, Jones as the programming system which he
could read and store specific code. Jones took a significant play at the end of the
story; he helped Johnny to get back into his human form by taking the implant genre
out of his brain. Plus, there are also negative impacts of implant system into your
body are: Johnny had lost his memories when he was the child because of the
implanting system. He turned into a very passive in both the movie and story,
because when your body contains too much data and you will probably lose your

How Technology Has Broadened The Spectrum Of
Applications
4.EMERGING DEVICES
The continuous scaling of CMOS technology has broadened the spectrum of
applications. Complex architectures can be now realized on a single chip. The
integration of existing and new technologies with CMOS extends the scope of
implementation.
Figure 3 : Relationship among More Moore, More than Moore, and Beyond CMOS
4.1More than Moore
The functional diversification of the semiconductor based devices by non digital
components is More than Moore implementation. These non digital functionalities
may not scale at the same rate as the digital components. The non digital components
are capable of interacting with outside world through sensors and actuators. This
integration of functions like analog and mixed signal processing, addition of passive,
power components and bio chips increases the range of applications such as
communications, automotive, biomedical and security. As integration grows so does
the challenges, it demands the need for multidisciplinary research programs to run in
pace with growing scientific fields.
4.2More Moore
The expansion of the CMOS by conventional dimensional scaling to reduce the cost
per function and improved performance is More Moore. This also comes with
resource scarcity such as power availability and reduced flexibility in interconnects.
Power dissipation becomes a critical problem in such devices due to large logic
circuits. Since the battery capacity has not improved much but the amount of logic in
SoC almost doubles

AP Chemistry Background The solubility product constant, Ksp, is a particular type
of equilibrium constant. The equilibrium is formed when an ionic solid dissolves in
water to form a saturated solution. The equilibrium exists between the aqueous ions
and the undissolved solid. A saturated solution contains the maximum concentration
of ions of the substance that can dissolve at the solutions temperature. A knowledge
of the Ksp of a salt is useful, since it allows us to determine the concentration of ions
of the compound in a saturated solution. This allows us to control a solution so that
precipitation of a compound will not occur, or to find the concentration needed to
cause a precipitate to form. The solubility product which will be... Show more content

each well, the initial concentrations of the reactants are halved, as each solution
dilutes the other. Use an empty pipet to mix each of these combined solutions by
drawing each solution up into the pipet and squirting it back into the well. (Hint
the concentration of Ca2 ions in well 12 is 2.4 x 10 5 M.) Allow three or four

one point the concentration of both ions becomes too low to have any precipitate

economists mentioned would be John Maynard Keynes and Milton Friedman. Topics
that would be mentioned would be about Keynesian economics and monetarism and
the differences between the two. Within the paragraph the information is taken from
electronic sources. The purpose of this informative essay is to mention the differences
and similarities between the two economists. John Maynard Keynes and his

How the Media Influences the Public Perception of Science...
Sometimes careless science publishing can weaken the public s confidence in
science and the government. The Media is enormously powerful and leading and
will influence people s opinions on everything. There are plenty of stories in the
media that will change the public s perception of science or even make them see a
new perception. Sometimes these stories are just written to scare the public into
believing a certain thing just so they can sell their stories.
Stories sometimes are true and sometimes they are false but it is up to the public to
believe in what is right and what is wrong. In this day and age, where information is
available at the touch of a mouse, it s not surprising that the media is a particularly
dominant and powerful ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The tabloid newspaper is the Sun and the broadsheet newspaper is the Times.
Firstly I will analyse the story written by the Sun, this tabloid covered the same
story as the Times and therefore we can find out their intentions. The Sun had the
following bold headline Deadly strain confirmed , I can clearly see from the start
that they are trying to create a scare in the public and capture the reader s attention
very fast, this is because they don t tell you what deadly strain they are talking
about, if I were to see this in a newspaper lying around I would pick it up because it
already got me worried and caught my attention. This has made me think, are they
trying to inform the reader or just trying to sell their story? You only learn what the
deadly strain is after you read paragraph 1 so this proves my point.
On the 3rd paragraph the Sun states the following the swan had the strain which can
be fatal to humans. Instead of just using the swan had the H5N1 strain the Sun
chooses to create more of an impact by using the word fatal and implying it to
humans. This makes the beginning of the article to cause fear, evoke an element of
alarm and perhaps imply that the readers should be fearful for their own health. The
article also mentions experts rushing to the scene to
Mirrormask Movie Analysis
Dave McKean is the mastermind of MirrorMask, MirrorMask is a fantasy/drama
film that released on September 30th, 2005. This movie was very different from a
normal fairy tale, It didn t have an evil stepmother, an absentee father and not
really a prince charming at the end of the film. This story is about a girl named
Helena, she worked in a circus with her Mom and Dad and they barely got by
financially. Helena didn t want to work in the circus anymore; she wanted to be
normal like everybody else. Helena is also an incredible artist, her room was filled
with drawing which symbolize her emotional expression. When she falls asleep
one day, she woke up in a magical land that was filled with her drawings. After
finding out they need to get the mirrormask to save the kingdom, she embarks on
an adventure to save the queen. Along the way, she meets a guy, Valentine that
accompanies alongside with her. Is it true love? This movie is about growing up
and realizing that even if you don t have much, you should still be grateful for what
you have. Helena was very ungrateful, she had two parents that were always there
for her, they didn t have a lot of money, but they had each other and Helena didn t
seem to understand that. Helena even got into a fight with her mother and wish death
upon on herself, how mean it that? Throughout the film in a way she matured and
learned a lesson, in many tales you learn lessons at the end. In Snow White, Snow
White had to learn to stop opening the
The Villa Borghese
Baroque art encompasses a broad range of art from Dutch genre paintings to dramatic
and theatrical Italian pieces. Because of the religious, socio economic, and political
events of the time, Baroque art can hardly been contained into one description.
Politically, the rulers and monarchies used commissioned art to emphasize assert their
authority, power and right to rule. Religiously, the Reformation caused the Catholic
Church to commission provoking pieces of piety and devotion. And Socio
economically, the rising middle class in many areas of Europe wanted pieces of art to
further improve prestige in the social scene and improve their reputation. These three
developments that came with the transition from the Renaissance age to the Baroque

The Villa Borghese, owned by Cardinal Scipione Borghese, was a place where visitors
would view, respond and discuss the immense collection of art, which brought
together both antique and modern pieces of art. Many of the pieces were a mix of
old and new works and artists were commissioned to give unified fragments a
character in the collection, showing the new way of inventiveness at the end of the
seventeenth century. During this specific time, artists such as Gian Lorenzo Bernini
were huge influencers in the art world. His pieces Apollo and Daphne, 1623 4;
Rape of Proserpina, 1621 2; and Hermaphrodite, unknown, depict the story of
ancient myths, and were commissioned to be conversation pieces that generate
multiple meanings, senses of realism, and juxtapositions. The Cardinal also trusted
Bernini to create a bust of himself title Cardinal Scipione Borghese, in 1632. The
piece was executed beautifully and portraying a lively Cardinal, so realistic in its
depiction that the only thing missing was speech. The piece helped to endorse
Scipione s social positions and prestige. The spectators would discuss the different
stories behind the pieces as they moved around and saw the changing points of
view as well as marveled at Bernini s ability to create artistic illusion and make
marble look like leaves, skin, bark, and hair. Scipione s Villa included a vast
collection that displayed the history of artistic styles together by showcasing artists
who created pieces that engaged viewers to see the life in

Overcome resistance
Reducing or overcoming resistance to change depends on identifying source of
resistance; it also depends on a leader s ability to be task oriented when it is required.
Here are 3 major strategies to deal with resistance to change (Cummings and Worley,
1993):
Empathy and support: this is the first step to know those who are experiencing
troubles of change, giving them possible ways of support, it is important to let those
people notice that they are taken care of, and a more friendly relationship will be
made.
Communication: people tend to resist when things become uncertain, an effective
communication is strongly demanded, it also help people prepare for the change.
Participation and involvement: it is a very good idea to get those who are facing
change involve directly in planning and implementing change, participation is the
best way to overcome resistance.
No matter how we think change may be, there is one thing that we shouldn t forget is
that change can be exciting and can bring new and positive opportunities for all.
The leadership of organizational change
The leadership is very important to the change of organizations, it is discussed in
many works that management may be more emphasized than leadership, however, I
would like to put leadership in the first

As a government, it requires its ability and being able to express the reality

Thomas C. Foster s Is That A Symbol
Is that a Symbol? Sure why not. It s the next question that gets hairy: what does it
mean, what does it stand for (Foster 18)? In Thomas C. Foster s Is That a Symbol
this quote explores the idea that there is a larger aspect when it comes to a symbol
s meaning. The idea of symbolism isn t solely a definition, rather it allows for each
to be unique, whether that is the rivers in both Hart Crane s, and T.S. Elliot s poems,
or the symbolic meaning of a white flag. Foster not only defines a symbol, but he goes
in depth about how one interprets a symbol, which in the end promotes the idea of
individuality.
The idea of symbolism is widely understood, but many do not understand that
symbols can have many different meanings. Foster highlights this point ... Show more

Elliot s The Waste Land. Each author highlights the meaning of rivers; Crane begins
with the East River, which then grows into the Hudson and onto the Mississippi and
Eliot with the River Thames. To each author the river has a distinct meaning. To
Eliot, the River Thames is symbolic of the collapse of western civilization, which
doesn t factor into Crane s piece. In The Waste Land, Eliot like most British poets
immortalize the Thames. Despite how he depicts this, in the modern world it is
just a dirty river. Eliot s background causes him to symbolize the Thames differently
than a reader would in the U.S. Similarly, a reader outside of the U.S. will
symbolize the East, Hudson, and Mississippi Rivers completely different than Crane
and other Americans. Foster believes that the connection in how one interprets a
symbol, and their personal background goes hand in hand. Otherwise, everyone
would connect the Thames to Eliot s beliefs, or the Mississippi and Hudson
according to Crane s ideas. Rather Foster believes that it is important for a reader to
have the freedom to interpret the text
Biblical Words Related On Counseling
Biblical Words Related to Counseling This portion of the presented literature
examines three Biblical words related to counseling. The words being examined in
this portion consist of counsel, wisdom, and help. These words will be examined
using Blue Letter Bible (2012), Strong s Concordance, and Vine s Expository
Dictionary of New Testament Words. The theme associated with Biblical words

American Standard Bible (Blue Letter Bible, 2012). However, due to several
translations, the word counsel can be found in the Bible over 200 times (Blue

Essay on Captial Punishment
I agree with the law that people who commit crimes need to be punished for their
wrong doings. However, I do not agree with the way that the law thinks that problem
should be handled through the death penalty. The bad part about the death penalty is
that innocent people are executed, there is racism in the death penalty, the mentally
retarded are executed, and the death penalty is costly.
As long as the death penalty is maintained, the risk of executing the innocent can
never be eliminated. People who are found guilty and sentenced to death row can
truly be innocent. It is said by Amnesty International a campaigning movement that
works to promote all the human rights that, quot;since 1973 at least 53 men were
released from death row ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some people are judged by their past and not by the current crime they are accused of
committing and evidence presented in that particular case. When this happens, a
person is wrongly accused of a crime he/she did not commit and now has to pay for it
because of uninformed people who do not believe a person can change their bad
ways to good ways.
Racism exists in the death penalty. The majority of death row defendants
quot;since 1977 were executed for killing whites despite the fact that whites and
blacks are victims of murder in approximately equal numbers quot;. For instance,
quot;in Texas, blacks found guilty of killing whites were found to be six times
more likely to receive the death penalty than whites convicted of killing whites
quot;. More black people are likely to receive the death penalty than white people
who may have committed the same crimes. This has got to stop. The judicial
system should not sentence a person to death because of the color of a persons
skin. The judicial system cannot say that the death penalty is right when situations
such as these are going on in the United States. There is still too much prejudice and
hatred for one another; this makes giving a person the death penalty unfair and
unjust. What also get to me is how black people who kill blacks; their sentencing
may not be as severe as it would

Virgo Woman In Love Analysis
Virgo Woman in Love
kw: Virgo woman in love
Meta: If you learn what to expect from a Virgo woman in love, you can navigate the
ups and downs of the relationship.
There are a number of misconceptions about a Virgo woman in love. Some people
say that they are uptight, hypochondriacs who are impossible to truly know. This is
generally not the case though. A Virgo tends to be quite introverted and modest.
While she may appear to be uptight or stuffy, she is just shy and uncomfortable about
opening up. If you can get her to feel comfortable around you, she will blossom into
the sensual, loving woman of your dreams.
Overview of a Virgo Woman in Love
A Virgo woman in love is exceptionally loyal and extremely sensual. She also tends
to be extremely modest. Even if she is the best writer, athlete or entrepreneur in the
world, she won t shout it from the rooftops. Instead, she will embrace her private
life and avoid the spotlight. This can make her seem cold and aloof, but she is far
from it. In reality, she is a warm, loving person who just needs to know people quite
well before she is willing to trust them with her heart.
A Virgo possess an enigmatic nature and a natural willingness to help others. There is
a hidden wisdom in this zodiac sign, and a Virgo s innate quietness often intrigues the
people around them. The best Virgo women are loyal, exceptionally intelligent,
practical and intuitive. They are willing to do just about anything to protect the ones
they love and keep them safe.
A Virgo Woman in a Relationship
If you have managed to catch the eye of your Virgo woman, you are in luck. She is
a selfless partner who will cook for you, clean your home and care for your children
unless you stop her. You should stop her though. She will give her everything to you
and leave nothing for herself, so you need to limit her selfless nature. Because of her
selfless tendencies, a Virgo woman in love is easily taken advantage of, so be
careful not to take her for granted.
This is one astrological sign that is entirely worth your trust. A Virgo man might not
be completely trustworthy, but a Virgo woman is worth your loyalty. She is too
intelligent, moral and loyal to consider adultery. While she does not

Medical Science Career Research Paper
Trying to land a career in science can be quite challenging, but if I were to choose, I
would definitely become a medical scientist. If you re wondering what a medical
scientist does, he or she usually run medicine or drug tests on certain volunteer
groups, and study the ways in which different chemicals and drugs interact with
people. During this process, medical scientists follow safety procedures, such as
interviewing their patients beforehand to figure out which medicineor drug works
best for them, do tons of research, perform tests, write technical reports, and do
everything they can to ensure the safety of the patient. After they have tested a
patient, a medical scientist will monitor and examine any changes in their health and
behavior, such as side effects, or any signs of success. The main duty of a medical...

The main reason why I want to land a career in this field is because of helping
people, and improving their well being. I have always liked helping people, and it
upsets me how there are people out there suffering from diseases, and illnesses, and
can t do anything about it, especially if it s incurable, like cancer. Landing a career
in this field, and helping cure these people, and bringing them back to good health
would absolutely be something that I am interested in, or would like to try.
Another reason why becoming a medical scientist interests me is because I have
always wanted to know what goes in my medicine, and how two tablespoons of it a
day can heal, or cure someone. Knowing what goes in it, and what each of the
ingredients do would for sure be interesting, and exciting to know. Finally, the last
reason why I want to be a medical scientist is because one of my cousins actually
works as a medical scientist, and from what she s told me, being a medical scientist
seems pretty cool. Wouldn t it be exciting working in a lab and mixing up and testing

business will become sustainable and have perceived added value from a customer.
Three Important Operations Management Decisions
Design of goods and services is very important for De Mar. De Mar is in the
business service sector of HVAC or plumbing. Their differentiation is provided
through the service of being available that day or even at two a.m. in the morning if
needed. The design of their afterhours and same day service provides the customer
with a guaranteed product quality and integral customer value.
Human resources and job design in De Mar is established around the policy of
solving the customer s problems and leaving them satisfied with their product and
service. De Mar establishes a high level of competence in their personnel through
selective hiring and continuous education. There is also extra compensation and
promotions for personnel who include this strategy of service to the customer
(Heizer et al, 227). You must have reliable personnel to go to a house at three a.m.
Scheduling is imperative to provide the service De Mar aims for. They must schedule
properly to meet the demands of the customer. Implementing short term or

Queer Temporality In Jane Eyre By Charlotte Bronte
Jane Eyre is recognized and acclaimed as a classic feminist novel, a bold social
commentary penned by a daring woman intent on shedding light on the hypocrisy
that riddled Victorian society. This view is indeed accurate. However, Charlotte
BrontГ« only dares so much; she only sheds so much light. In The Maniac Bellowed
: Queer Affect and Queer Temporality in Charlotte BrontГ« s Jane Eyre
, Carolyn
Marjorie Davis asserts that the arms of BrontГ« s feminismdo not embrace women
who fail to fulfill certain standards of domesticity and femininity, namely, they do not
embrace Bertha Mason, the mad and muscular, foreign and forgotten wife of
Rochester, whom he has condemned to haunt the locked third floor like some
supernatural creature of dread.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Bertha yearns to be heard and understood, but she is constantly undermined by
Rochester s ability to elide her existence (Davis 17). Even Jane, whose many
similarities with Bertha would seem to suggest that she would feel a kinship with
her, seems deaf to any meaning in Bertha s attempts to communicate. This is
surprising (Davis 11) given that much of Jane s internal monologue is predicated
on the fact of her loneliness and uniqueness, and...much of her affect is expressed
through the language of imprisonment and subjugation (Davis 11), just like Bertha.
Jane s storyline and Bertha s storyline are in many ways reversed images of each
other. Jane starts her life poor, friendless, and treated as a bad animal (Bronte 8),
and by the end of the book she is wealthy and happily married. Bertha begins living
freely on her home island, but her marriage to Rochester results in her entrapment and
abandonment by Rochester as he seek[s] sympathy with something at least human
(Bronte 297). In the eyes of society, Jane is transformed from animal to human, and
Bertha is transformed from human to animal. Bertha s madness renders her unable to
fulfill what were regarded as the duties of a woman: to be pretty and quiet and
intelligent, but not too intelligent, to embody domesticity, to comfort and care for her

is an essential component in WACC calculations.

Mortensen computed the cost of debt for each division by adding a premium, or
spread, over the U.S Treasury s securities of a similar maturities. To find rD we use
the interest rate that we currently pay on the new loans, instead of using CAPM.
The consolidated spread to the treasury was given on table at 1.62%. Therefore rD
is equal to the 30 year yields plus the overall consolidated spread. rD=4.98%+1.62%
or 6.60%. The tax rate is then calculated based on exhibit 1 of the average of 2004
2006. The calculation is the income tax divided by the income before taxes, which
equals 39.73%
EMRP is based on the Exhibit 6, the traditional data showed approximately 6.0%

Professional Archaeology
There are many different settings and different areas that are available for

their job descriptions include research on shipwrecks as an underwater

Each archaeologists setting of work is different from the next. While professors
will teach at universities; other archaeologists will find jobs in cultural resource
management, in museums, and other areas. While a career in cultural resource
management can quite easy to find, a job at universities or in museums can be
quite difficult due to less demand in that area of work (saa.org). Archaeology can
be split up into two different categories, academic archaeology and professional
archaeology, also known as compliance archaeology. These two categories differ in
many ways. Academic archaeology is very similar to public archaeology, which is
the practice of presenting archaeological data to the public and interpreting that data
to the public as well
(archaeology.about.com). Archaeologists who work in this area can normally be
found in museums, historical societies, and professional archaeology associations.
This is where academic and professional archaeology can overlap, working in a

Another afternoon we were there, my mom and I went to Trummelbach falls

we got out, all I could hear was the pounding of twenty thousand liters of water
going through the mountain per second which would echo across the mountain

the fall at every level and there were all these really cool shaped caverns. In order
to see the rest of the falls, we had to walk outside down the mountain and every
time we came around the corner there would be the falls in the shape of funky

across the valley with cows grazing on pastures, waterfalls sprouting out, and

Effects Of European Imperialism On Aboriginal Society
The indigenous cultures of Australia are the oldest living cultural history in the world
and have occupied the land for at least 50,000 years. Prior to European colonisation
Aboriginal people lived a semi nomadic, hunting and gathering lifestyle. European
settlement of Australia beginning in 1788 had devastating impacts the on existing
indigenous population such as the introduction of many fatal, foreign diseases and
loss of land and resources. European establishment brought rapid changes to
Aboriginal society; in particular disease brought by the settlers played a fundamental
role in the breakdown of Indigenous society. Prior to the Macassan visits and the

When European settlers arrived they did not understand the Aboriginals land
ownership system as it was very different from their own. Upon European arrival the
settlers declared the land as terra nullius (land belonging to no one) and took
ownership of the land. The colonial government sold and leased land to the settlers
completely ignoring the deep spiritual connections the Aborigines had with the land.
By 1870s all fertile areas were taken from the Aboriginals and given to the white
settlers. The Europeans built fences, which prevented movement of native fauna and
introduced hard hoofed animals that destroyed the waterways and much of the plant
life; this impacted the Indigenous greatly as it reduced their access to resources. T.L
Mitchell in a Journal of Expedition outlines the impacts of the introduced animals by

access to land and water sources for the Indigenous people which reduced their

Hybrid technology is one of them, and that is why most automobile companies put
enormous amount of money into developing hybrid or electrical cars. Another
crisis is the price of gasoline. It is a major interest to almost everyone in the
country and almost everywhere in the world. It seems that every month and
sometimes every day, gas prices are either spiking or dropping, but never stable.
Gas price nowadays is the highest gas price increase since 1990. As consumers
across the country drive up to gasoline pumps to fill their tanks, they are all asking
the same questions why are prices rising so quickly to such high levels? People
spend more on gasoline and have less money to spend on other purchases these
days. According to Statistics Canada, Canadians drive more than 4.2 trillion
kilometers per year, burning up 1 liters of gasoline. Scientists announced that fossil
fuel will be depleted within 50 years and it is natural that the gas price will go up.
Most products require burning up of gasoline in order to be produced, and we will
need sufficient amount for economic growth. People who are concerned about the

Summary Of John Knowles A Separate Peace
A Separate Peace takes place in the middle of World War II, at a boarding school in
New England for boys. The author John Knowles uses this setting and its characters
as a form of comparison to the war going on half a world away, both physically and
metaphorically. At the school, John Knowles stages this metaphorical warinside the
mind of the protagonist, Gene Forrester, who engages in a different war
throughout the course of the novel. When the novel concludes Gene says My war
ended before I even put on a uniform; I was on active duty all my time at school; I
killed my enemy there (196) as he reflects on his time at Devon. At first glance Gene
could appear to be referencing the event in which he caused the death of his best
friend, Finny.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The events in the novel also give way to the author s perspective on war(s) in
general, not just the one happening at the time. By having Gene s internal battle
correlate with the war the boys were training to fight in, Knowles conveys the idea
that everybody will be at war with themselves at a time in their life. Another
example of a war against one s self is the character Leper Lepellier s war with his
sanity. He fights so hard to keep it, but the struggle inside his head is harder to win
than any superficial war: The idea of his face on a woman s body. That s what
made me psycho. Ideas like that. I don t know. I guess they must be right. I guess I
am psycho. I guess I must be. I must be (141). Leper has gone to fight in the war,
done his duty for his country, and subsequently now has to fight the conflict
happening in his mind. He second guesses his sanity, which only makes the battle
harder. The fictional character of Leper is an example of one of many people who
have fought in a war, only to return home to find a completely different war waiting
for them. Another instance in which Knowles shows his thoughts on war is when
Gene first begins to hate Finny. He is convinced Finny is trying to stop him from
succeeding in school, a thought created by his envy for Finny: I sensed it like a
sense of relief when nausea passes away; I felt better. We were even after all, even
in enmity. The dead rivalry was on both sides after all (46). Gene s conflict with
Finny is another

Call Of The Wild By Jack London
Two of Jack London s most famous stories are Call of the Wild and To Build a Fire.
Call of the Wild is a novel about a dog named Buck, who is stolen away from his
home in California and sold in Canada to become a member in a dog sled team. Then
Buck learns the law of club and fang, and he becomes the leader of his team and
eventually breaks away from captivity to become a wild dogroaming forest. To Build
a Fire, on the other hand, is a short story about a man who is traveling through
Canada in very coldtemperatures. His hands and feet go numb, and he falls through
the river. In the end he freezes to death. Both Call of the Wild and To Build a Fire
have some things in common, but they also have a lot between them, as you will see
soon.
One of the main things that these two stories have in common is their setting their
physical setting, to be exact. (This might actually be from part of Jack London s
experiences, when he went to the Yukonto search for gold. This sentence seems kind

hostile, foreign environment (which one goes first, hostile or foreign?) full of
biting coldness and rough trails. Another lesson. So that was the way they did it,
eh? Buck confidently selected a spot, and with much fuss and waste effort
proceeded to dig a hole for himself. In a trice the heat from his body filled the
confined space and he was asleep. When Buck was in California, he had no need of

The Censorship Of The Journalism

world of journalism. People often downplay the significance of this huge task.
Journalism allows people to know everything happening all around the world. It also

informative facts and often the whole truth to everyone out there. Without journalism
the government would probably be in control of everything and fellow citizens would

One of the roles in journalism is the journalist. Journalists have several tasks to

successful in this area and it could be due to the fact that he would be neutral on

A reporter is another essential position in journalism. A reporter is the one who

Reasons For John F. Kennedy s Assassination Conspiracy
Since John F. Kennedy was assassinated on November 22, 1963, there have been
numerous conspiracy theories but there are five that are the most popular. They are
the CIA, Grassy Knoll shooter, Mafia, Lyndon B. Johnson, and Lee Harvey Oswald.
Many believed that he was assassinated by the government. Some felt like the
military industrial complex would have benefited from the death of the President.
Dwight D. Eisenhower had warned Americans about the military industrial complex.
Some think that Kennedy had taken Eisenhower s advice and was planning on
reducing the size of the military. They believed that Kennedy was planning to end
the United States involvement in Vietnam and that he was planning on making a
long term peace deal with the Soviet Union. This would have ended the Cold War
very early. Many believed that the reduction in the size of the military serves as a
motive for elements in the Pentagon and military contractors to want to end Kennedy
s life. I would give this a 15% likelihood of being the reason. ... Show more content

Another thing that also points the mafia in the involvement in JFK s death was their

Sexual Assault And The Forms Of Sex Offenders Essay
There is a growing problem with crime in the United States, but the one that is
unique in its own way is sexual assault and the varieties of sex offenders that engage
in those activities. A sex offender is anyone who commits a crime that involves any
sexual act. Statistical data like risk assessment can help minimize and prevent some
crimes that involve a sex offender. Risk assessment is defined as the probable threat
that includes an action that involves a specific activity. In this case, the risk
assessment would define sex offenders and the probable statistics that a sex offender
would commit another sexual offense. Risk assessments formed to counter the
various crimes that are disconcerting in the United States. Statistical data can also
prove the growing problem that sex offenders pose to the country. Treatments and
preventions have evolved to combat the sex offenders of our time since the offenders
are constantly changing with the environment and technology around us. Sexual
assaults can affect anyone at any time no matter what gender, race, or disability a
person has. There are numerous classifications for sex offenders and different
guidelines to what classifies that specific offender in that category.
Correspondingly, citizens have the risk to classify as a sex offender for example, if
the person was drunk and urinating in a park at night. Not all sex offenders
committed a violent sexual crime, but the majority of convicted sex offenders had
multiple offenses
The Conflict Between Christians And Muslims
Perspective comes from the Latin words per and spectare and literally means: to
look through. Therefore, perspective, in its most rudimentary definition, means the
way one looks at things. This definition can be elaborated upon and become
synonymous with belief. A perspective can be open or limited, abstract or logical,
optimistic or pessimistic. With these opposites, it can be difficult to blend one s
views with another s. People are fascinated with perspectives. Humans love the
conflict that comes with opposing opinions. Consequently, arguments are always
blown out of proportion. For instance, take the popularity of legal dramas, the feud
between Christians and Muslims, or the pro and anti homosexuality rallies. Some of
the most famous works of literature are about changing perspectives such as Harper
Lee s To Kill a Mockingbird, a story about strong prejudices being exercised in a
small town. Articles have been written concerning changing perspectives for example,
David Dobb s writing Beautiful Brains , a study looking into the minds of teenagers
and explaining their set apart behaviors. Both of these pieces tell about the transition
from child to adult and the perspectives that come with this growth. Coming of age
involves recognizing different perspectives.
In Harper Lee s To Kill a Mockingbird Jem is an example of a character whose
coming of age process involves gaining a new perspective. Jem is told that he must

Characterism In Alius Grace
Niederhoff says, In Alias Grace, the spirit of Mary also supports Grace. We should
not see the ghostly presence inside Grace in exclusively negative terms: as a demon
to be exorcised, a disorder to be cured. We should also see it as a survival strategy.
The person talking through Grace s mouth during the hypnosis scene quite literally
defends and protects Grace when she tells the audience that Grace is not guilty of the
murders because she knew nothing about them. This person also enables Grace to
insulate her mindagainst the memory of traumatic experiences, and provides her
with an outlet for her feelings of jealousy and rage, primarily against Nancy, that
Grace more or less represses in her own person. Moreover, the Mary inside Grace
turns the tables on the male victimizers with the help of her host s body. Grace can
maintain her own sanity and identity only at the cost of splitting in two, of
relegating some of her memories and actions to a second person, who turns out to
be a murderer. This person, intruding ghost or self created alter, is alias Grace ; she is
the same woman as Grace Marks in the sense that she shares some of the
experiences and motives of the latter, and she is a different person in the sense that
Grace Marks is not aware of her (Niederhoff 79). I also agree with Niederhoff s
viewpoint. The notion that Grace is possessed for the purpose of protecting herself
relates to Grace s wish of her mother to do so. As Grace recalls of her mother, She

Effects Of California Drought
Having to live in California definitely has its perks. On Northern California, you
have the astonishing vineyards and the view of how neatly they are laid out, let
alone the wonderful redwood trees or the large tree wayside known for their heights
and large trunks that leave you speechless from the beauty and how beautiful nature
is, which also gives you an excelling understanding of how green Northern California
is. Not to mention, the weather in Northern California tends to be on the cooler
side, however certainly not to a freezing point. The city known for acceptance, San
Francisco, is in the Bay Area, just a few miles away from the sea. On the lower side
of California is what the majority of people refer to as SoCal or Southern California,

Let s take it back to how this started, back in 2011 to be exact. Reading the
California Nevada Climate Applications Program (CNAP) a NOAA Regional
Integrated Sciences and Assessments (RISA) program magazine, from an unknown
publisher published on August of 2014 a drought occurs when water supplies
cannot meet demands, and can happen for a variety of reasons (2). This being said
the cause of the drought today is due to the lack of precipitation and humans
creating global warming, which is only making it worse, and speeding up the
drought. Aside from this, there are other reasons that caused this drought one
other being traced back to 2014 where the water vapor transport split into two
branches and resulted in flowing either north or south of California (2) according
to the (CNAP) magazine. In other words, the evaporation from the year of 2014, it
strays from its familiar route across the Pacific. Today, California is relying on
other states leading, to purchase water from nearby states like Nevada. Doesn t it
seem embarrassing for California to be asking other states for water and pay millions
of dollars simply on account of the state running
Treadwell Film Techniques
Initially the film presents as a cinematic memorial to Treadwell even going so far
as the places name and date of birth and death on the lower third of the screen
which acts like a gravestone in the opening shot of the movie. This commeration
continues throught the film but as with other aspects of Treadwell s personality
Herzog works to complicate and at times undermine Treadwell s approach to the
natural world he achives this a number of different ways but primarily uses
juxtaposition between interviews with professionals and Tredwells personal footage
for instance in this scene Herzog deftly places a piece of radio from the curator of
the boutique museum over Tredweells footage if I look at it from my culture

Hertog also asserts the cold brutality of natural by revealing the brutal circumstances
of Timothy Treadwells death early on the film. Craftly editing the chronology
Trewells life to aid Herzogs own vision of a chaotic nature. In a typical narrative art
the death of protagonist generally comes at the climax but because Herzog reveals
that Treadwell was eaten by the very same bears he sought to protect in the
exposition of the movie we struggled to empathize with the loved Treadwill felt for
the animals of the Alaskan wilderness even further we find it hard to believe
Treadwells work and vision because know of his eventual demise and brtuality the
grizzly bears are capable of. So we se an expertly framed shot of Treadwell in the
foreground and a group of bears in the background. You cant help lose trust in his
mission instead look towards Herzog s constant narration for guidance in short
gizzly man proposes to be about Treadwells life and passion but if we dig a little
deeper into the narrative structure and consistent authorial narration we can see that
Herzog is guiding us to believe in his own cynical vision of wild
Leslie Marmon Silko s The Man To Send Rain Clouds
Ever since we can remember, the water cycle has been a part of our life. No matter
where we are, we can see the spectacle continue its infinite loop in nature. From
evaporation to the runoff that awaits to begin the cycle again, we have constantly
trained and memorized the importance and resourcefulness of the water cycle
through schooling. In Leslie Marmon Silko s The Man to Send Rain Clouds, Silko
illustrates the different stages of the water cycle symbolically throughout the story.
The first place we can catch the symbolic usage of the water cycle (mainly
evaporation) is in the first section labelled Part One . The paragraph starts out with
They found him under a big cottonwood tree, (Silko) him being Teofilo. The tree that

To start us off, in section two they start preparing Teofilo for burial as well as
things they will need. The first thing they start to do to prepare is set the clothes

Levis were arranged neatly beside the pillow (Silko). In sequence with the facepaint
in section one, the brown of the flannel can represent dirt and the Levis are the
ground water buried deep within the ground. This could represent the look of nature
after precipitation, after the cycle begins to end, which I find kind of correlates with
Teofilo lifecycle.
Furthermore, in the third section is the condensation. Though the funeral ended
this is where the climax builds up the next section coming forward. The symbolism
in this section is when Louise asks for holy water to give Teofilo. About the priest
sprinkling holy water for grandpa. So he won t be thirsty, (Silko). The holy water
can represent the start of the gathering of water that defines what condensation does.
Once the priest comes to give the holy water he will then sprinkle it like
precipitation on the old man so he won t be thirsty . Hence, the reason why I say

Analysis Of Awake And Dreaming By Kit Pearson
In this novel Awake and Dreaming by Kit Pearson It talks about a little nine year
old girl Theo, and her mother Rae who are living together and are a very poor and
un wealthy family. Theo is not your typical child during her spare time, she likes to
be alone and curl up to a good book if not she is always daydreaming about
unrealistic things. Even if Theo tried making friends they wouldn t last long since she
always moved schools and switched apartments. Her motherwas a smoker and

about Theo s life that was normal no loving parents to come to after school, no clean
clothes, and no toys so she made up her own fantasy. The perfect functioning family

In her mind the perfect family was coming home to fresh clean clothes a buffet full
of food ant to parents that would love her unconditionally but in the world that we
live in today that is not possible. She had spent all that happy time with the family
in the sort of magic adventure that happened in books. Then, for some reason, the
magic had ended and she d been back on the fairy again at the same moment she d
left (Pearson page). This quote shows that dreams never last and need to face
reality before they get lost in their own word. Then one day, on the ferry to Victoria
to meet her Aunt Sharon, Theo somehow wakes up with a loving family of her
own. (publishersweekly.com) This quote shows that all the dreams that she was
having were just in her head of unrealistic thoughts. This is problematic because
she does not have real family anymore and she does not know what it feels like to
have a loving mother to care for her and any type of love in her family. She cannot
tell what is real or not anymore. When reality comes in to terms with something that
you love but cannot have. we hope the magic will hold for this child who weeps
inside herself (Quill and Quire). Theo lost many things but she just needed someone
to be there for her but she has nothing no friends, no parents and nothing to call her
own which keeps her always trying to fit into somewhere where she does not
Brief Conceptualization Case Study
Brief Conceptualization of Alan
Alan is a 70 year African American who has given up on life. He does not believe
that life is worth living after losing his wife of 48 years to cancer. He has four
children and grandchildren who do not live near him and he does not have the
desire to visit them. Alan has medical histories that include high blood pressure,
diabetes, and a back injury that he had surgery. He is seeing a counselor, because
his doctor believes that he is addicted to painkiller called Vicodin. He is taking more
than what has been prescribed. He avoids discussing his addiction with his counselor.
He states that he is lonely since his wife death. Van Wormer and Davis (2013)
mention clients use chemical to dull their senses to hopelessness, isolation, and
unresolved loss grief issues. Alan may have ideas of suicide. The American
Psychiatric Association (2013) claim genetic effects an individual without deviation

According to Van Wormer et. al. (2013), older adults are more susceptible to taking
harmful drug, because of physical transformation. In addition, prescription
medications are consider as a common issue in adults over 75 years of age.
Researching Vicodin shows that it could be dangerous to take with other medications.
It is recommend not taking large doses of Vicodin and not for long period.
Acetaminophen and hydrocodone are in Vicodin. In addition, this medicine can
become a habit in regular doses. Unresolved grieving can make the client feel guilty
for their spouse death, make them feel like they have nothing to live for, and lonely
(Van Wormer et. al., 2013). In addition, Alan may be experiencing survivor guilt,
which has lead Alan into depression. Furthermore, Alan may be feeling that guilt
because he was not able to help his wife who died of
Analysis Of Paul Bloom s First Person Plural
A man walks into a bar and begins to converse with a local the man is not from the
area. Intrigued by the unfamiliar face, the first thing the local asks is: where are you
from? Instead of asking for the travelers name, he seeks to identify a larger
organization. These simple conversations display the tendency for humans to
associate with groups. Democrat or Republican, lower, middle, or upper class, family,
education, ancestry, these communal affiliations are what define an individual.
Governments are run by a community of people, and those that are not often collapse,
as displayed by many failed dictatorships and monarchies. Even the most intimate
component of a human, the mind, is divided into a community of different selves, as
explored in the article First Person Plural by Paul Bloom. As demonstrated by Edna
Pontellier in The Awakening, the rule of one body or persona is neither permanent
nor healthy, regardless of the setting; true success comes from a conglomerate of
distinct perspectives with a mutual goal in both a governmental and personal setting.
According to recent psychological studies described in First Person Plural the human
mind may not be characterized by I, but we. In other words, there are different
individuals with varying desires and motivations that control human decisions within
the brain when influenced by certain stimuli. These personas fight for control, such as
the selfthat wants to eat junk food or the self that wants to stay on a

There are also risks during and after surgery such as bleeding and infection. As with
any brain surgery, there is a small risk of brain tissue damage, which can result in a
neurological deficit. Ben Carson helped develop the craniofacial surgery center at
John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. Also, he is the Co Director of the Craniofacial
Center. Craniofacial surgery is a subspecialty of oral surgery, plastic surgery, and
Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) that deals with congenital and acquired deformities of
the skull, face and jaws (Gates, Brooks Higginbotham 2:179 80). The are all kinds
of craniofacial disorders and deformities for instance cleft lip, cleft palate,
craniofacial skull, ear deformities, facial paralysis, hemi facial, and microsomia.
Craniofacial deformities are caused by genetic inheritance, trauma, or disease. When
treating craniofacial deformities it requires the expertise of specialized physician
from many different areas. It is impossible for any single physician to successfully
evaluate and treat all the abnormalities associated with craniofacial patients (
Craniosynostsis ). Ben Carson specializes in craniosynostosis, which is when the
bone joints fuse together causing problems with normal brain and skull growth. The
skull is divided into segments, and early premature closure of the bone suture fibrous

Everyone has a dream to further their study at university, whether in locally or
overseas. When they get the chance, the things that play in their mind are how
their room is, will they get a shared room or single room and if they need to share a
room, who will they stay with. Rooms that are usually provided in university are of
two kinds which are single room or shared room. A single room is where the room
is owned by yourselves and you do not need to share the facilities with others.
Meanwhile, a shared room means you will have a a roommate and you need to share
the room with them. Sometimes, a student who stays in shared rooms can have one,

What a person needs to understand is that it is extremely more safe and secure to stay
in shared rooms rather than stay in a single room. When you stay in a shared
room, you know the person who is he/she when your properties lost and you can
get your things back. Meanwhile, in a single room, if your properties lost, you did
not know who take your things and your percentage to get back yours is less.
Other than that, lately a lot of robberies seem to happen to someone who stays
single rather than when you stay with your roommate. As April Sanders (Oct
21,2013) in the articles What Are the Benefits of Having a Roommate? said, There
s safety in numbers, and two or more people living in one home mean that the
home is less likely to be empty, and therefore less likely to be robbed. . Next,
imagine you are in an emergency situation such as you lock your door
unconsciously and left the key in the room, who is going to help you open the door?
When you have a roommate and meet the situation, you can depend to your
roommate and get his/her help to open the door. In concluding, by stay with
aroommate you can have someone when you having difficulties and you will feel

Francis Bacon as Shakespeare
Francis Bacon as Shakespeare For almost four hundred years the question of who
truly wrote the works attributed to William Shakespeare has been studied
meticulously by many scholars and historians. There have been many well qualified
contenders, including Sir Francis Bacon. Because of the incredible number of
coincidences between Shakespeare and Bacon, it is obvious that Bacon wrote
Shakespeare. Firstly, the actor William Shakespeare, who is the supposed author of
Shakespeare s works, could not have written them. He had no formal education
after thirteen, was from a small provincial town, was a professional actor, had two
daughters who were illiterate, didn t mention any of his works in his will, and
whose only surviving handwriting is six signatures on legal documents
(Rubenstein 69). Shakespeare is considered one of the greatest authors in history,
and without a formal education the intricacy of his work would be impossible. It
should also be put in consideration that many of Shakespeare s works were not only
published but edited after his death. From the publication of The Taming of the
Shrew in 1594 to the publication of the First Folio in 1623, 4,936 new lines were
added to the plays, a majority of which were added posthumously (sirbacon). This
in itself is evidence enough to disprove Shakespeare entirely. Unlike William
Shakespeare, Sir Francis Bacon was very well qualified to have written Shakespeare s
works. Bacon was a highly educated Member of
Essay On Global Trade
Global Trade is one of an essential activity that undertakes between two nations in a

My Moment In My Life
High Point A moment in my life that stands out as an especially positive experience
is when I graduated high school. The day occurred on June 15, 2015 at the Jiffy
Lube live arena stage in my hometown of Manassas, Virginia. The people involved
in this positive experience were myself, my mother, father, sister, family friends,
my friends, administrators, teachers, and peers. I woke up in the morning around
9:00 am, showered, got dressed packed all of my essentials for my graduation, and
drove to one of my friend s house where all of my friends and I got ready for
graduation. My friends and I spent several hours getting ready, taking, photos for
our family members before our ceremony. Then we went to the graduation location
and waited for an hour in our designated spots for when walk out. The ceremony
began at 7:00, the speakers spoke for about 30 minutes, then names were called.
My named was called early on, I walked across the stage, my mom calling my name
out, I smiled to her as I spotted her in the crowd. Then I shook the hands of the
administrators, received my diploma and walked of the stage. On this day I was
thinking about how I was finally going to finish my four year long journey. At that
point every choice I had made in my academic career led to this moment of
accomplishment. I was also thinking of how it was a long process to get to my
graduation day and that walking across the stage not only would be positive for me,
but for others who were important to me and a
Cultural Immersion Project
Choosing an unfamiliar place within the small town of Athens, OH was a difficult
task for someone with a diverse list of interests to do. Personally, I had to think about
where I wanted to spend my time culture watching . There are many places that I
have spent much of my time, like coffee shops, multiple basketball and football
games freshman year, and three well known dining halls across campus. I had to
think to myself where have I not spent time in Athens, and then it came to me,
church. For the cultural immersion project, I spent three Sundays observing the
Athens First United Methodist Church, each service being one hour long focusing on
different areas each time. The location of the church is extremely familiar to me

I was able to attend three church services at the Athens First United Methodist
Church and gain insight on what it was like to be a weekly congregation member.
While focusing on the members of the congregation and their mannerisms, the pastor
and the way that the congregation was being addressed, and the overall routine of
the service I was able to write up the way that I felt and the things that I noticed
while being present. I feel as if the Catholic and Methodist church are different and
attending the mass was not something that I was used too. I was experiencing a
different religion and church service. I felt like there was a sense of community at
each service and I really liked the way that I personally felt welcome each time I
went. I am not saying that the catholic church does not have a sense of community,
maybe it is because Athens is a small town and members get to know each other
very well or what but I felt a strong community vibe. I was able to focus in on the
members specifically and the way that they interacted with one another and the
pastor. Friendly, is the word that I would use to describe the members. Each
person had a smile on their faces on entering and exiting the church. Reverend
Robert McDowell did a wonderful job interacting and engaging with the
congregation throughout the service. He wanted his people to listen and reflect on
the words he was saying not just blankly listen to. Going to the Methodist church
was an eye opening experience to me, realizing that going to church and being in
college is not a bad thing. It takes up one hour of my time one day a week. This
project made me realize the difference between religions and unfamiliar places and
how it can be educational and exciting to
The Speech
A baby s cries filtered through the living room as Peter Senge thanked Governor
Birch and asked the debate s first question. I ll get him, Mary said. No, it s alright,
I ll go. Enjoy your popcorn, William said. What, really? You don t want to watch
the debate. I m shocked. It s alright. The DVR is recording it; I ll catch the
highlights later, William said, standing up from the couch. You could knock me
over with a feather right now, Mary said. Why? I ve read every word Edward Birch
has written, and listened to every speech he has made for the past 8 years. Do you
think there s anything he s gonna say tonight that I haven t already heard? Alright.
If you say so. Besides, I m going to be spending the entire day on the stump with
him tomorrow. You sit back and enjoy the debate. I ll take care of James. THE
helicopter slowly descended and settled in a field near the farmhouse. Alright,
William said. There s my ride. Be safe, Mary said, adjusting James in her arms.
Always, William said. He took James from Mary and gave him a kiss on the
forehead. Alright, little man. You take care of your mommy. I ll see you
tomorrow. William climbed into the helicopter and put on a pair of headphones.
Good morning, Mr. Blake, the pilot s voice carried over the headset. Good morning,
William said. Exciting day, the copilot said. That was one hell of a debate last night.
Governor Birch kicked some serious ass. He sure did, William said. He s
The Causes Of Blasphemy In Pakistan
Since 1990, at least 73 people have been killed over alleged blasphemy, according
to an Al Jeerza tally (Pakistan minister resigns ending Islamabad standoff ). The
major religion in Pakistan is Islam, which is practiced by about 95% of the
population. Muhammad is the prophet and founder of Islam, so when taken
lightly, situations can easily get out of hand. Pakistan s Federal Law Minister,
Zahid Hamid, is being accused of blasphemy because of wording in his oath,
because of his oath he s being protested by numerous religious groups; the protests
will either lead to countrywide violence, or a resignation of Hamid. Pakistan s
federal law minister, was being protested to resign from office because of extreme
protesting against him for breaking his oath. According to religious protester, Khadim
Hussain Rizvi, the minister had a sense of wording that made ease for those banned
from identification as Muslims. Hashim says, The protesters. . . perceived the change
in wording as representing a softening of the state s position against members of the
Ahmadi sect, who are not permitted to identify themselves as Muslims in Pakistan.

failed to state the name of the Prophet Muhammad during his electoral oath. Because
of his so called clerical error, over 2,000 protesters held a siege

Essay Examples About Yourself. 007 Student Autobiography 87369 How To Write An Essay About Yourself ...

  • 1. Essay Examples About Yourself Writing an essay about oneself may seem like a straightforward task, but delving into the intricacies of self-reflection and articulating one's experiences can prove to be a challenging endeavor. The difficulty lies not only in presenting a coherent narrative but also in striking a balance between self-expression and humility. Crafting an essay about yourself requires a delicate dance between sharing personal anecdotes and maintaining a level of objectivity. One of the challenges is avoiding the pitfall of self-aggrandizement while still highlighting accomplishments and personal growth. Striking the right tone can be akin to walking on a tightrope, as too much self-promotion can come off as boastful, while too much self-deprecation might undermine the purpose of the essay. It's a delicate balance that demands a keen awareness of one's own story and its resonance with the intended audience. Additionally, finding the right examples to illustrate key points is crucial. The challenge here is to select anecdotes and experiences that not only showcase personal qualities but also resonate with the reader. It involves a careful curation of life events that align with the overall theme of the essay and contribute to a cohesive narrative. Furthermore, the task becomes intricate when considering the need for introspection. To truly connect with the reader, the essay must go beyond the surface and explore deeper emotions and motivations. Unveiling vulnerabilities can be intimidating, and choosing the right words to convey these emotions can be a daunting task. Another layer of difficulty arises in maintaining a balance between authenticity and the desire to present the best version of oneself. The fear of judgment can lead to self-censorship, hindering the essay's ability to truly reflect the complexity of one's character. Struggling with the tension between openness and self-preservation can add an extra layer of difficulty to the writing process. In conclusion, writing an essay about oneself is not just a matter of narrating personal experiences; it's an intricate process that requires self-awareness, humility, and the ability to strike the right emotional chords with the reader. It's a journey that demands both courage and finesse to navigate the fine line between self-promotion and genuine self-revelation. • 2. Exploratory Research Philosophy Paper With the understanding of the research philosophy and the selection of the appropriate approach made above, now it is much easier to strategize the type of research to solve the research problem and its sub problems. There are many strategies in research. The most common ones are experimenting, survey, case study, action research, grounded theory, ethnography and archival research. Before deciding the strategy for the research, it is important to understand the purpose of this research. Is it intended to explore or describe or explain the phenomena? The exploratory research is intended to gain the base information about the problem by defining the terms, explore the root of the problem, testing hypothesis and provide a solution to the problem.
  • 3. Comparing Burning Chrome And Johnny Mnemonic In the short story Burning Chrome by William Gibson and the movie Johnny Mnemonic combined 3 elements between human beings and technology, which is hard science fiction, soft science fiction, and the higher technical development of technology in the future cyberpunk. Besides that, William Gibson had mentioned about the cyborg, they are part humanand part machine, but what does it mean to be a cyborg and what do cyborg say about the relationships between human beings and technology? The idea about cyborgs, and the relationship between humans and technology are being very significant, the technology helping humans to store a ton of data in their head, it used to improve human performance, productivity and helping humans to understand... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They started to create cyborgs by implanting technology machine into humans, making normal human being impossible to go again those cyborgs. The first sign that showed how cyborgs had been applied to the main character of the book (Johnny) when on page 2. Johnny says, I had hundred of megabytes stashed in my head on an idiot/savant basis, information I had no conscious access to. As you can see that, Johnny was impacted by the implanting technology into his head, he became intelligent most likely like a robot, which he could store a large amount of data in his brain and he becomes more agile. In addition, Jones the dolphin in the story is the only one character known as the cyborgs . It is unrealistic to believe that an animal could become cyborgs, Jones as the programming system which he could read and store specific code. Jones took a significant play at the end of the story; he helped Johnny to get back into his human form by taking the implant genre out of his brain. Plus, there are also negative impacts of implant system into your body are: Johnny had lost his memories when he was the child because of the implanting system. He turned into a very passive in both the movie and story, because when your body contains too much data and you will probably lose your strengths, memories and become
  • 4. How Technology Has Broadened The Spectrum Of Applications 4.EMERGING DEVICES The continuous scaling of CMOS technology has broadened the spectrum of applications. Complex architectures can be now realized on a single chip. The integration of existing and new technologies with CMOS extends the scope of implementation. Figure 3 : Relationship among More Moore, More than Moore, and Beyond CMOS 4.1More than Moore The functional diversification of the semiconductor based devices by non digital components is More than Moore implementation. These non digital functionalities may not scale at the same rate as the digital components. The non digital components are capable of interacting with outside world through sensors and actuators. This integration of functions like analog and mixed signal processing, addition of passive, power components and bio chips increases the range of applications such as communications, automotive, biomedical and security. As integration grows so does the challenges, it demands the need for multidisciplinary research programs to run in pace with growing scientific fields. 4.2More Moore The expansion of the CMOS by conventional dimensional scaling to reduce the cost per function and improved performance is More Moore. This also comes with resource scarcity such as power availability and reduced flexibility in interconnects. Power dissipation becomes a critical problem in such devices due to large logic circuits. Since the battery capacity has not improved much but the amount of logic in SoC almost doubles
  • 5. Essay on So Mexicans are Taking Jobs from Americans Notes AP Chemistry Background The solubility product constant, Ksp, is a particular type of equilibrium constant. The equilibrium is formed when an ionic solid dissolves in water to form a saturated solution. The equilibrium exists between the aqueous ions and the undissolved solid. A saturated solution contains the maximum concentration of ions of the substance that can dissolve at the solutions temperature. A knowledge of the Ksp of a salt is useful, since it allows us to determine the concentration of ions of the compound in a saturated solution. This allows us to control a solution so that precipitation of a compound will not occur, or to find the concentration needed to cause a precipitate to form. The solubility product which will be... When the NaOH is added to each well, the initial concentrations of the reactants are halved, as each solution dilutes the other. Use an empty pipet to mix each of these combined solutions by drawing each solution up into the pipet and squirting it back into the well. (Hint the concentration of Ca2 ions in well 12 is 2.4 x 10 5 M.) Allow three or four minutes for the precipitates to form, then observe the pattern of precipitation. At one point the concentration of both ions becomes too low to have any precipitate form. We will assume that the first well with no precipitate represents a saturated solution. Part B NaOH varies, Ca(NO3)2 held constant To check your results, repeat the procedure but use a serial dilution of the NaOH. In a different row, put 5 drops of 0.10 M NaOH in well 1. Put 5 drops of distilled water in wells 2 through 12. Add 5 drops of the 0.10 M NaOH solution to well 2. Use an empty pipet to mix the solution by pulling the solution into the pipet and then squirting it back several times. The solution in this well, 2, is now 0.050 M in OH ion. Continue this serial dilution to well 12, and then remove 5 drops from well 12. Add 5 drops of 0.10 M Ca(NO3)2 to each of the wells, and mix each with an empty pipet or stirrer. Again, determine the well where no more precipitate appears. Cleanup

  • 7. How the Media Influences the Public Perception of Science... Sometimes careless science publishing can weaken the public s confidence in science and the government. The Media is enormously powerful and leading and will influence people s opinions on everything. There are plenty of stories in the media that will change the public s perception of science or even make them see a new perception. Sometimes these stories are just written to scare the public into believing a certain thing just so they can sell their stories. Stories sometimes are true and sometimes they are false but it is up to the public to believe in what is right and what is wrong. In this day and age, where information is available at the touch of a mouse, it s not surprising that the media is a particularly dominant and powerful ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The tabloid newspaper is the Sun and the broadsheet newspaper is the Times. Firstly I will analyse the story written by the Sun, this tabloid covered the same story as the Times and therefore we can find out their intentions. The Sun had the following bold headline Deadly strain confirmed , I can clearly see from the start that they are trying to create a scare in the public and capture the reader s attention very fast, this is because they don t tell you what deadly strain they are talking about, if I were to see this in a newspaper lying around I would pick it up because it already got me worried and caught my attention. This has made me think, are they trying to inform the reader or just trying to sell their story? You only learn what the deadly strain is after you read paragraph 1 so this proves my point. On the 3rd paragraph the Sun states the following the swan had the strain which can be fatal to humans. Instead of just using the swan had the H5N1 strain the Sun chooses to create more of an impact by using the word fatal and implying it to humans. This makes the beginning of the article to cause fear, evoke an element of alarm and perhaps imply that the readers should be fearful for their own health. The article also mentions experts rushing to the scene to

This movie was very different from a normal fairy tale, It didn t have an evil stepmother, an absentee father and not really a prince charming at the end of the film. This story is about a girl named Helena, she worked in a circus with her Mom and Dad and they barely got by financially. Helena didn t want to work in the circus anymore; she wanted to be normal like everybody else. Helena is also an incredible artist, her room was filled with drawing which symbolize her emotional expression. When she falls asleep one day, she woke up in a magical land that was filled with her drawings. After finding out they need to get the mirrormask to save the kingdom, she embarks on an adventure to save the queen. Along the way, she meets a guy, Valentine that accompanies alongside with her. Is it true love? This movie is about growing up and realizing that even if you don t have much, you should still be grateful for what you have. Helena was very ungrateful, she had two parents that were always there for her, they didn t have a lot of money, but they had each other and Helena didn t seem to understand that. Helena even got into a fight with her mother and wish death upon on herself, how mean it that? Throughout the film in a way she matured and learned a lesson, in many tales you learn lessons at the end. In Snow White, Snow White had to learn to stop opening the

His pieces Apollo and Daphne, 1623 4; Rape of Proserpina, 1621 2; and Hermaphrodite, unknown, depict the story of ancient myths, and were commissioned to be conversation pieces that generate multiple meanings, senses of realism, and juxtapositions. The idea of symbolism isn t solely a definition, rather it allows for each to be unique, whether that is the rivers in both Hart Crane s, and T.S. Elliot s poems, or the symbolic meaning of a white flag. Foster not only defines a symbol, but he goes in depth about how one interprets a symbol, which in the end promotes the idea of individuality. Elliot s The Waste Land. Each author highlights the meaning of rivers; Crane begins with the East River, which then grows into the Hudson and onto the Mississippi and Eliot with the River Thames. To each author the river has a distinct meaning. To Eliot, the River Thames is symbolic of the collapse of western civilization, which doesn t factor into Crane s piece. In The Waste Land, Eliot like most British poets immortalize the Thames. Despite how he depicts this, in the modern world it is just a dirty river. Eliot s background causes him to symbolize the Thames differently than a reader would in the U.S. Similarly, a reader outside of the U.S. will symbolize the East, Hudson, and Mississippi Rivers completely different than Crane and other Americans. Foster believes that the connection in how one interprets a symbol, and their personal background goes hand in hand. Otherwise, everyone would connect the Thames to Eliot s beliefs, or the Mississippi and Hudson according to Crane s ideas. Rather Foster believes that it is important for a reader to have the freedom to interpret the text

However, I do not agree with the way that the law thinks that problem should be handled through the death penalty. The bad part about the death penalty is that innocent people are executed, there is racism in the death penalty, the mentally retarded are executed, and the death penalty is costly. As long as the death penalty is maintained, the risk of executing the innocent can never be eliminated. People who are found guilty and sentenced to death row can truly be innocent. When this happens, a person is wrongly accused of a crime he/she did not commit and now has to pay for it because of uninformed people who do not believe a person can change their bad ways to good ways. Racism exists in the death penalty. The majority of death row defendants quot;since 1977 were executed for killing whites despite the fact that whites and blacks are victims of murder in approximately equal numbers quot;. For instance, quot;in Texas, blacks found guilty of killing whites were found to be six times more likely to receive the death penalty than whites convicted of killing whites quot;. This view is indeed accurate. However, Charlotte BrontГ« only dares so much; she only sheds so much light. In The Maniac Bellowed : Queer Affect and Queer Temporality in Charlotte BrontГ« s Jane Eyre , Carolyn Marjorie Davis asserts that the arms of BrontГ« s feminismdo not embrace women who fail to fulfill certain standards of domesticity and femininity, namely, they do not embrace Bertha Mason, the mad and muscular, foreign and forgotten wife of Rochester, whom he has condemned to haunt the locked third floor like some supernatural creature of dread.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Bertha yearns to be heard and understood, but she is constantly undermined by Rochester s ability to elide her existence (Davis 17). Even Jane, whose many similarities with Bertha would seem to suggest that she would feel a kinship with her, seems deaf to any meaning in Bertha s attempts to communicate. This is surprising (Davis 11) given that much of Jane s internal monologue is predicated on the fact of her loneliness and uniqueness, and...much of her affect is expressed through the language of imprisonment and subjugation (Davis 11), just like Bertha. Jane s storyline and Bertha s storyline are in many ways reversed images of each other. Jane starts her life poor, friendless, and treated as a bad animal (Bronte 8), and by the end of the book she is wealthy and happily married. Bertha begins living freely on her home island, but her marriage to Rochester results in her entrapment and abandonment by Rochester as he seek[s] sympathy with something at least human (Bronte 297). In the eyes of society, Jane is transformed from animal to human, and Bertha is transformed from human to animal. • 31. Summary Of John Knowles A Separate Peace A Separate Peace takes place in the middle of World War II, at a boarding school in New England for boys. The author John Knowles uses this setting and its characters as a form of comparison to the war going on half a world away, both physically and metaphorically. At the school, John Knowles stages this metaphorical warinside the mind of the protagonist, Gene Forrester, who engages in a different war throughout the course of the novel. When the novel concludes Gene says My war ended before I even put on a uniform; I was on active duty all my time at school; I killed my enemy there (196) as he reflects on his time at Devon. At first glance Gene could appear to be referencing the event in which he caused the death of his best friend, Finny.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The events in the novel also give way to the author s perspective on war(s) in general, not just the one happening at the time. By having Gene s internal battle correlate with the war the boys were training to fight in, Knowles conveys the idea that everybody will be at war with themselves at a time in their life. Another example of a war against one s self is the character Leper Lepellier s war with his sanity. He fights so hard to keep it, but the struggle inside his head is harder to win than any superficial war: The idea of his face on a woman s body. That s what made me psycho. Ideas like that. I don t know. I guess they must be right. I guess I am psycho. I guess I must be. I must be (141). Leper has gone to fight in the war, done his duty for his country, and subsequently now has to fight the conflict happening in his mind. He second guesses his sanity, which only makes the battle harder. The fictional character of Leper is an example of one of many people who have fought in a war, only to return home to find a completely different war waiting for them. Another instance in which Knowles shows his thoughts on war is when Gene first begins to hate Finny. He is convinced Finny is trying to stop him from succeeding in school, a thought created by his envy for Finny: I sensed it like a sense of relief when nausea passes away; I felt better. We were even after all, even in enmity. The dead rivalry was on both sides after all (46). Gene s conflict with Finny is another

Sexual Assault And The Forms Of Sex Offenders Essay There is a growing problem with crime in the United States, but the one that is unique in its own way is sexual assault and the varieties of sex offenders that engage in those activities. A sex offender is anyone who commits a crime that involves any sexual act. Statistical data like risk assessment can help minimize and prevent some crimes that involve a sex offender. Risk assessment is defined as the probable threat that includes an action that involves a specific activity. In this case, the risk assessment would define sex offenders and the probable statistics that a sex offender would commit another sexual offense. Risk assessments formed to counter the various crimes that are disconcerting in the United States. Statistical data can also prove the growing problem that sex offenders pose to the country. Treatments and preventions have evolved to combat the sex offenders of our time since the offenders are constantly changing with the environment and technology around us. Sexual assaults can affect anyone at any time no matter what gender, race, or disability a person has. There are numerous classifications for sex offenders and different guidelines to what classifies that specific offender in that category. Correspondingly, citizens have the risk to classify as a sex offender for example, if the person was drunk and urinating in a park at night. Not all sex offenders committed a violent sexual crime, but the majority of convicted sex offenders had multiple offenses

Therefore, perspective, in its most rudimentary definition, means the way one looks at things. This definition can be elaborated upon and become synonymous with belief. A perspective can be open or limited, abstract or logical, optimistic or pessimistic. With these opposites, it can be difficult to blend one s views with another s. People are fascinated with perspectives. Humans love the conflict that comes with opposing opinions. Consequently, arguments are always blown out of proportion. For instance, take the popularity of legal dramas, the feud between Christians and Muslims, or the pro and anti homosexuality rallies. Some of the most famous works of literature are about changing perspectives such as Harper Lee s To Kill a Mockingbird, a story about strong prejudices being exercised in a small town. Articles have been written concerning changing perspectives for example, David Dobb s writing Beautiful Brains , a study looking into the minds of teenagers and explaining their set apart behaviors. Both of these pieces tell about the transition from child to adult and the perspectives that come with this growth. Coming of age involves recognizing different perspectives. The person talking through Grace s mouth during the hypnosis scene quite literally defends and protects Grace when she tells the audience that Grace is not guilty of the murders because she knew nothing about them. This person also enables Grace to insulate her mindagainst the memory of traumatic experiences, and provides her with an outlet for her feelings of jealousy and rage, primarily against Nancy, that Grace more or less represses in her own person. Moreover, the Mary inside Grace turns the tables on the male victimizers with the help of her host s body. Grace can maintain her own sanity and identity only at the cost of splitting in two, of relegating some of her memories and actions to a second person, who turns out to be a murderer. This person, intruding ghost or self created alter, is alias Grace ; she is the same woman as Grace Marks in the sense that she shares some of the experiences and motives of the latter, and she is a different person in the sense that Grace Marks is not aware of her (Niederhoff 79). • 50. What Are The Advantages And Disadvantages Of Living In A... Everyone has a dream to further their study at university, whether in locally or overseas. When they get the chance, the things that play in their mind are how their room is, will they get a shared room or single room and if they need to share a room, who will they stay with. Rooms that are usually provided in university are of two kinds which are single room or shared room. A single room is where the room is owned by yourselves and you do not need to share the facilities with others. Meanwhile, a shared room means you will have a a roommate and you need to share the room with them. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... What a person needs to understand is that it is extremely more safe and secure to stay in shared rooms rather than stay in a single room. When you stay in a shared room, you know the person who is he/she when your properties lost and you can get your things back. Meanwhile, in a single room, if your properties lost, you did not know who take your things and your percentage to get back yours is less. Other than that, lately a lot of robberies seem to happen to someone who stays single rather than when you stay with your roommate. As April Sanders (Oct 21,2013) in the articles What Are the Benefits of Having a Roommate? said, There s safety in numbers, and two or more people living in one home mean that the home is less likely to be empty, and therefore less likely to be robbed. . Next, imagine you are in an emergency situation such as you lock your door unconsciously and left the key in the room, who is going to help you open the door? When you have a roommate and meet the situation, you can depend to your roommate and get his/her help to open the door. In concluding, by stay with aroommate you can have someone when you having difficulties and you will feel more secure and
  • 51. Francis Bacon as Shakespeare Francis Bacon as Shakespeare For almost four hundred years the question of who truly wrote the works attributed to William Shakespeare has been studied meticulously by many scholars and historians. There have been many well qualified contenders, including Sir Francis Bacon. Because of the incredible number of coincidences between Shakespeare and Bacon, it is obvious that Bacon wrote Shakespeare. Firstly, the actor William Shakespeare, who is the supposed author of Shakespeare s works, could not have written them. He had no formal education after thirteen, was from a small provincial town, was a professional actor, had two daughters who were illiterate, didn t mention any of his works in his will, and whose only surviving handwriting is six signatures on legal documents (Rubenstein 69). Shakespeare is considered one of the greatest authors in history, and without a formal education the intricacy of his work would be impossible. It should also be put in consideration that many of Shakespeare s works were not only published but edited after his death. From the publication of The Taming of the Shrew in 1594 to the publication of the First Folio in 1623, 4,936 new lines were added to the plays, a majority of which were added posthumously (sirbacon). This in itself is evidence enough to disprove Shakespeare entirely. Unlike William Shakespeare, Sir Francis Bacon was very well qualified to have written Shakespeare s works. Bacon was a highly educated Member of

The day occurred on June 15, 2015 at the Jiffy Lube live arena stage in my hometown of Manassas, Virginia. The people involved in this positive experience were myself, my mother, father, sister, family friends, my friends, administrators, teachers, and peers. I woke up in the morning around 9:00 am, showered, got dressed packed all of my essentials for my graduation, and drove to one of my friend s house where all of my friends and I got ready for graduation. My friends and I spent several hours getting ready, taking, photos for our family members before our ceremony. Then we went to the graduation location and waited for an hour in our designated spots for when walk out. The ceremony began at 7:00, the speakers spoke for about 30 minutes, then names were called. My named was called early on, I walked across the stage, my mom calling my name out, I smiled to her as I spotted her in the crowd. Then I shook the hands of the administrators, received my diploma and walked of the stage. On this day I was thinking about how I was finally going to finish my four year long journey. At that point every choice I had made in my academic career led to this moment of accomplishment. I was also thinking of how it was a long process to get to my graduation day and that walking across the stage not only would be positive for me, but for others who were important to me and a

Personally, I had to think about where I wanted to spend my time culture watching . There are many places that I have spent much of my time, like coffee shops, multiple basketball and football games freshman year, and three well known dining halls across campus. I had to think to myself where have I not spent time in Athens, and then it came to me, church. For the cultural immersion project, I spent three Sundays observing the Athens First United Methodist Church, each service being one hour long focusing on different areas each time. I was able to attend three church services at the Athens First United Methodist Church and gain insight on what it was like to be a weekly congregation member. While focusing on the members of the congregation and their mannerisms, the pastor and the way that the congregation was being addressed, and the overall routine of the service I was able to write up the way that I felt and the things that I noticed while being present. I feel as if the Catholic and Methodist church are different and attending the mass was not something that I was used too. I was experiencing a different religion and church service. I felt like there was a sense of community at each service and I really liked the way that I personally felt welcome each time I went. I am not saying that the catholic church does not have a sense of community, maybe it is because Athens is a small town and members get to know each other very well or what but I felt a strong community vibe. I was able to focus in on the members specifically and the way that they interacted with one another and the pastor. Friendly, is the word that I would use to describe the members. Each person had a smile on their faces on entering and exiting the church. Reverend Robert McDowell did a wonderful job interacting and engaging with the congregation throughout the service. He wanted his people to listen and reflect on the words he was saying not just blankly listen to. Going to the Methodist church was an eye opening experience to me, realizing that going to church and being in college is not a bad thing. It takes up one hour of my time one day a week. This project made me realize the difference between religions and unfamiliar places and how it can be educational and exciting to

Enjoy your popcorn, William said. What, really? You don t want to watch the debate. I m shocked. It s alright. The DVR is recording it; I ll catch the highlights later, William said, standing up from the couch. You could knock me over with a feather right now, Mary said. Why? I ve read every word Edward Birch has written, and listened to every speech he has made for the past 8 years. Do you think there s anything he s gonna say tonight that I haven t already heard? Alright. If you say so. Besides, I m going to be spending the entire day on the stump with him tomorrow. You sit back and enjoy the debate. I ll take care of James. THE helicopter slowly descended and settled in a field near the farmhouse. Alright, William said. There s my ride. Be safe, Mary said, adjusting James in her arms. Always, William said. He took James from Mary and gave him a kiss on the forehead. Alright, little man. You take care of your mommy. I ll see you tomorrow. William climbed into the helicopter and put on a pair of headphones. Good morning, Mr. Blake, the pilot s voice carried over the headset. Good morning, William said. Exciting day, the copilot said. That was one hell of a debate last night. Governor Birch kicked some serious ass. He sure did, William said. He s

The Causes Of Blasphemy In Pakistan Since 1990, at least 73 people have been killed over alleged blasphemy, according to an Al Jeerza tally (Pakistan minister resigns ending Islamabad standoff ). The major religion in Pakistan is Islam, which is practiced by about 95% of the population. Muhammad is the prophet and founder of Islam, so when taken lightly, situations can easily get out of hand. Pakistan s Federal Law Minister, Zahid Hamid, is being accused of blasphemy because of wording in his oath, because of his oath he s being protested by numerous religious groups; the protests will either lead to countrywide violence, or a resignation of Hamid.
