Sample Interview Essays
Writing an essay on the topic of "Sample Interview Essays" can be a challenging task that
requires careful consideration and attention to detail. One of the primary difficulties lies in the
need to balance the informative and narrative aspects of the essay. Crafting a compelling
narrative while providing insightful analysis of interview responses can be demanding, as it
requires a deep understanding of the interviewee's perspective and the ability to convey it
effectively to the reader.
Another challenge is the research aspect, as the writer must not only conduct a successful
interview but also gather relevant background information to contextualize the responses. This
involves extensive preparation, thoughtful questioning, and the ability to extract meaningful
insights from the interviewee's experiences.
Additionally, maintaining a coherent structure throughout the essay poses a difficulty. Ensuring
a logical flow from introduction to conclusion, while seamlessly integrating direct quotes and
paraphrased information, requires careful organization and editing. Striking the right balance
between the interviewee's voice and the writer's analysis is crucial to maintaining the essay's
authenticity and readability.
Moreover, addressing potential biases and maintaining objectivity is a delicate task. Writers must
navigate through their own perspectives and biases, presenting the interviewee's responses in a
fair and unbiased manner. This requires a keen awareness of one's own preconceptions and a
commitment to presenting a well-rounded perspective.
In conclusion, crafting an essay on "Sample Interview Essays" is a multifaceted endeavor,
demanding proficiency in interviewing, research, organization, and writing. However, for those
seeking assistance with such tasks, it's worth noting that HelpWriting.net offers a range of
services where similar essays and much more can be ordered.

Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Essay
Fetal Alcohol Syndrome
Many studies have established that a developing organism is susceptible to
exogenous and endogenous factors during certain stage of the organism s
development. The effects of ethyl alcohol or ethanol on the developing fetus, which
manifest a variety of characteristic abnormalities, are collectively called Fetal alcohol
Syndrome. Ethanol exposure to the fetus causes various malformation ranging from
the cellular to the organismic levels with the eventual results frequently being
different levels of mental retardation (3).
Chick embryo studies provide a relatively good model for defining the effects of
ethanol at many organizational levels of neurogenesis, cell death, neuronal migration
and differentiation, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The consequences of ethanol are dependent on the time of administration and
duration of treatment (3).
Animal models have displayed conclusively that alcohol can alter normal
development of the central nervous system. Alcohol exposure during development
has been shown to modify brain growth, neuronal number, myelination,
neurotransmitter levels and receptor binding, synaptogenesis, and many other aspects
of neuronal metabolism and morphology. There are indications of alcohol s
immediate or short term teratogenic effects, typically recounting deficits or delays in
brain growth parameters, measured in the animals that were still in early stages of
development (2).
Most infants identified with FAS are microcephalic, hyperactive, and mentally
retarded by age four to ten. This persistence of brain dysfunction is what causes the
highest human and economic toll (2).
Several studies have exhibited reductions in neuronal number in developing animals
following alcohol exposure. However, neuronal death is a consequence of normal
development. Some neuronal populations maintain a fifty percent reduction in the
number before stabilizing in an adult configuration. The possibility exists that
developmental alcohol exposure may in at least some circumstances, be accelerating
the deaths of only those neurons that
Work Ethics Of Japanese Manufacturing Management
Lean is a perfect way of approach if any task is to be done instantly and without waste
which eventually helps in saving working capital and productivity. JIT(just in time) is
a concept introduced by Toyota group to improve return on investment on inventory,
which is also known as Japanese manufacturing management. According to general
manager it may be possible using JIT techniques. The below are the considerable
points to conclude with the appropriate decision.

Notes On The Physics Of Physics
Overview During my time in physics, I have learned a variety of topics, equations,
formulas, and ideas that further continue my intelligence and learning when it
comes to my life. However, there has always been something in nature that has
always gripped my attention more than anything else. Water. Water as a general
concept is something that is truly a miracle for life. It allows all living creatures to
survive through drinking, bathing, and an overall healthy and happy life for all.
Because of this, I was able to derive the law from two different scientists regarding
this topic. One of which was Evangelista Torricelli(Galileo s assistant), who was able
to derive Torricelli s law v2 = 2gH, in where g represents the acceleration due to the...

The total amount of water I chose to fill the bottle with is approximately 1700 mL
since above that level of water the bottle shape begins to change. I chose to
measure 100 mL differences for water volume differences in order to achieve a
total range of numbers between 500 and 1700 mL. I also determined that at 1700
mL, the flow rate allowed for the water to drain nearly 100 mL over the 5 seconds
recorded. If I used a value that was less than 100 mL, I would find that one trial
would go into another trial. I chose use a period of 5 seconds for a few reasons.
This period allows us to collect a vast range of data for the amount of drainage,
between the values of 27 and 96 mL. If I used a longer duration, like for instance,
10 seconds, I would find that the amount of water drained would be roughly
between the values of 50 and 200 mL, which would go into the other trials. The
reason why I did not choose a value less than 5 seconds was because such a small
value would greatly amplify the problem of my reaction time. Also, the values
collected would go between 5 mL and 25 mL, which would be too small for this
experiment to work. Finally, I chose to use 6 trials for each condition. Materials:

Procedure: 1) Poke a hole into the bottle with the thumbtack 2) Make a hole in the

Analysis Of The Movie Spike Lee
Spike Lee is an Afro American director who has developed more fame and
importance in the last 20 years. He portrays his stories in a way that nothing is
fictitious and many of them are written about some real events. Lee has co
produced many of his films and has acted in some small roles within them.
According to IMDb (2016), Lee s work consists of: 26 films, 30 television
programs, 45 commercials, 15 short films, starred in several films, and was a
producer and writer of many other works. Although, his films are somewhat irregular
in terms of color palettes, shots, and exposition. Regarding the plot, he is considered
a drama director. Also, his works always emphasize action and occasionally comedy.
Based on all the above, Lee s career will be analyzed from his early work in the film
industry, his career, and some of his most notable and recognized works.
For example, in many of the films I have seen so far, Spike Lee tends to
substantiate his works in many cultural, social, and political problems: besides the
racism suffered by many African Americans in the United States mainly. Lee
became a director of promise with his first long film, She has to have it (1986),
according to McGowan (2014). This film was shot in around two weeks and cost
around $175,000 to make, but grossed more than $7 million, becoming in one of
the most profitable films created in 1986. Lee often takes a critical look at race
relations, political problems, crime, and violence. His film Do the
Krzysztof Penderecki Research Paper
Krzysztof Penderecki (1933 )
Penderecki s music has always been full of vitality, supplemented with an intimacy
when in regards to his formation. An NPR producer described his music as being on
the front lines of the battle between the forces of atonality and lyricism . Although
starting out as a avant garde composer with progressive concepts, Penderecki later
abandoned that trend and looked back at Romanticism and even Bach for
compositional inspiration. However, this does not signify a transformation to the
sweeping lushness of the late Romantics. His music can be stated that it was not for
the faint hearted, and occasionally, it can be frightening. It was so frightening that

Thus, this work, like many of his other works, is immensely ardent and somewhat
autobiographical, yet it also is a tribute for all the victims of war. A funny
annecdote is associated with its original score when it was first published. On its
trip to the German publisher house, the score went missing, and Penderecki had to
reconstruct it from memory. Later, it was revealed that instead of missing, it was
held in customs. They suspected the score to be a secret code to building an atom
bomb, or some army secrets of the Warsaw Pact. The package was eventually sent to
the addressee, after customs discovered it to be only notes. What was enthralling for
Penderecki, is that when he compared his original to his reconstructed score, they
were identical. Segments of this piece has been implemented into film, namely

Adaptation
From the theory adaptation is perceived as the process of dynamic unfolding of the
natural tendency of human strive for an internal equilibrium in face of often
adversarial conditions of the environment (Jackson, 2008). The theory of adaptation
tries to create and enhance an understanding of the process of intercultural adaptation.
However it has special focus on the effects of micro and macro levels factors on
cultural adaption process. This refers to cultural and institutional patterns of host
culture and individual background and psychological characteristic respectively. It has
also focused on understanding of cross cultural adoption in the context of new
learning and psychological growth so as to form more complete understanding of the
cross cultural adaption process, organizational and consolidation of factors that
influence cross cultural adoption process has also been focused and finally inclusion
of assimilation of ideological points of view. In addition there are three boundaries
that are set to define the situation of cross cultural adaptation occurrence. The first is
that the strangers have had a primary socialization in one culture and have moved
into a different and unfamiliar culture. The other one is that the strangers are
dependent on the host environment for meeting their personal and social needs. Also,
the strangers are at least minimally engaged in firsthand communication experiences

The Interesting Narrative And Other Writings By Olaudah...
In The Interesting Narrative and Other Writings by Olaudah Equiano, Equiano gave
interesting descriptions of his and others experience as a slave. He begins his novel
by first explaining the place where he grew up, Nigeria, Africa. This part of Africa
during that time was very fruitful and rich. Given this location, it can be understood
that Equiano came from a family of wealth and power. He was the youngest and most
favored of his siblings. Equiano explained the different African traditions and
practices, i.e. honoring the dead, arranged marriages, dance ceremonies. Equiano

Equiano described the cruelty of the crew who kept watch of the Africans. If an
African refused to eat, they received an hour of whipping or, even if one preferred
death to being a slave, they were brutally punished. Equiano even witnessed the
crew hurting one another, to the point where some died and had to be thrown
overboard into the sea. A few of the Africans could no longer handle the
mistreatment of being a slave and jumped overboard in attempt of suicide. Some
succeeded, but those who did not succeed were lifted back on board and beaten
unmercifully. At some point, most of the Africans were placed in the basement of
the ship and had to endure one another s stench. There was lack of health assistance
and they were not allowed to properly excuse themselves to use the restroom.
Because there was lack of fresh air and they had to stay in the basement for days at
a time, many of the Africans got sick (Equiano 58). Equiano pondered why the white
men treated their slaves so poorly, because slaves in Africa were never treated so
inhumane.
While living with his master, working on slave ships, and working on a plantation,
Equiano had seen many practices of slavery in America. The way Americans treated
their slaves was very different than the way Africans treated their slaves. For those
who survived the slave ship, they were separated and

The ad that my partners and I analyzed is one with interesting components to it. This
assignment made me think more about how ads convey the intentions of the creators
as well as what one can interpret through studying the ad. My partners and I studied
the Ray Bans still ad (pictured below) (Copyranter 1).
Other people inspire people all the time so one of the first places to look at was any
inspiration for this advertisement. It was found that the inspiration for this ad was
Taylor Mead (Bans 1). Taylor Mead was an openly gay man who was an actor. He
was born in Grosse Pointe, Michigan in 1924 and died in 2013. During his life, he
moved to New York City to live freely. While in New York City, Mead was an actor
in the movie The Flower Thief and due to this, Mead caught Andy Warhols attention
(Herd 1). Andy Warhol was a famous artist who created works such as performance
art, filmmaking, and more (Biography.com Editors 1). It has been widely thought
that Warhol was gay or that he was a voyeur who is someone who gains sexual
pleasure from watching others being naked/engaging in sexual activity (By June 1951

Interestingly, after Warhol saw Mead in The Flower Thief , they started to work on
films together such as Tarzan and Jane Regained , Sort Of , and Lonesome
Cowboys . Eventually, a critic panned Mead, stating that in The Flower Thief ,
which was done without Warhol, Mead s butt was viewable the majority of the film.
This criticism led to Mead and

Hamlet Twelfth Night
William Shakespeare s plays Hamlet and Twelfth Night are completely opposite
plays. However, there are many connections that can be made between the two.
Seeing as Hamlet is a dark tragedy and Twelfth Night is a romantic comedy, both
seem to have romantic twists to them developed by the hindering of the truth of one s
appearance. These are shown through major themes, such as deceit through disguises,
complex love triangles, and varying opinions of marriage.
In the play Twelfth NightShakespeare uses disguise as a major theme. This is
partially what makes the play a comedy but also creates the ties to Hamlet . In the
beginning of Hamlet the main character himself makes everyone believe he is mad
to try to get the truth out of his uncle of why is father died. Many of the other
characters in this play pretend to be good natured and caring toward Hamlet, when
in all reality they were unjust and self absorbed. In Twelfth Night, many of the
characters disguise themselves as someone else, such as Viola pretending to be
Cesario. Olivia falls in love with Cesario . Feste and Malvolio disguise themselves as

arrives. Olivia marries Sebastian, thinking him to be Viola. Thus leaving Orsino
without a love interest and to find out that Viola is a woman. He decides to marry

ideals and aesthetics. The difference between Realism and Naturalism is that realism
tends to be preoccupied with the content of the art rather than technique or
methodology. This means that the primary focus is on the subject who or what rather
than how it is created. Typically, realist artists depict common people going about

Causes Of The Treaty Of Versailles
World War I was a major conflict fought in Europe and around the world between
1914 until 1918. In the end, the countries were striving to recover from World War
1 and were in need of a treaty to prevent any future war from occurring. The
countries came to an agreement and decided to create the Treaty of Versailles. This
treaty was made to end the state of war between Germany and the Allied Powers, but
Germany was not allowed to attend the Conference so they had no say in the terms
that were discussed. The Allies punished Germany in the Treaty of Versailles
because
of 1) pressure put on the allied countries by civilians to discipline Germany and 2)
the strong feeling that Germany should pay for all of the damage and destruction
caused by the war considering they were a major cause of starting it. The terms of
the Treaty of Versailles caused Germany to lose everything territory, money due to
reparations, alliances, military control, disarmament, and worst their pride;
essentially Germany had to take full blame for the war. These terms were made to
prevent Germany from exercising such aggression in the future. In reality, what
ended up transpiring was that the Treaty gave Germany even more hatred to the
point where they were looking for anything who could fix all of the ongoing
problems they were facing this setup Adolf Hitlers rise up to power. Hitler s rise to

Diverging Lens Research Paper
The human eye is arguably one of the greatest innovations in nature. The eye is used
to visibly see objects and their surroundings. Human eyes are tuned to see the visible
spectrum of light. This is in the wavelength ranges of 38010 9 meters to 75010 9
meters (Young 1054). But, as with anything, the eyeis prone to defects and problems.
An understanding behind the structure of the eye helps to understand the most
common defect with eyes, myopiaand hyperopia. Luckily both of these defects are
able to be corrected with the use of corrective lenses. First, an understanding behind
the structure of the eye helps to understand the problems that can develop. Following
a ray of light, the ray will first pass through the cornea, a convex and transparent lens
that protects the eye. This is also where most of the refraction of... Show more content

For the myopic eye, the use of a diverging lens helps to correct the vision. The
diverging lens changes the focal point causing the image to diverge before it
reaches the eye instead of diverging just before the retina. This image then
converges as it passes through the cornea causing a clear image to appear on the
retina instead of before it ( Nearsightedness and Its Correction ). The most common
treatment for myopic eyes is the use of glasses or contact lenses. There is also
surgical ways to fix the eye including laser procedures including PRK or LASIK (
Myopia (Nearsightedness) ). For the hyperopic eye, the use of a converging lens
helps to correct the vision. The image is refracted before it has a chance to enter
the eye which in turn decreases the image distance, s. This then translates the image
to be focused on the retina instead of just beyond it ( Farsightedness and Its
Correction ). Some eyes that are hyperopic are able to correct themselves over time
otherwise glasses or contact lenses are used to help correct the vision ( Hyperopia
Influence Of Jazz In The Great Gatsby
Jazz in the 1920s was very significant to many families and individuals. Whether it
was a way to make money, or to just have fun, jazz was always there. Jazz was
formed and known for its ability to create unity and excitement; but it was never

that jazzwould destroy young people s interest in classical music(Culture Shock).
However, jazz made it through and is still played today. The places that jazz
evolved from, the generation that loved jazz, and struggle for jazz helped shape it
into what it is now, furthermore, The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald utilizes

Music was very popular, but jazz was the most common. New Orleans, Louisiana
is considered the birthplace of jazz (Jazz). So in the 1920s, when prohibition had
started, speakeasies wanted cheap entertainment, so African American jazz
players were cheap and good at playing. Jazz brought people together in the
nightclubs and other illegal places by making them dance together and have a fun

people a sense of an adrenaline rush (Roaring Twenties).. Jazz was played

tricky to install and require the services of a contractor who owns the proper
equipment and who has experience in the installation of the particular system desired.
Maintenance Plans: Maintenance plans are an economical way to ensure that your
roof receives the preventive maintenance needed to maximize its life. Furthermore,
the regular inspections included in the plans gives you up to date information on the

Candy Chest Definition
The Candy Chest, The reason for this name because it represents this store
showing that we are just a simple but unique candy store. The hours for our store
would be Monday Thursday 11am 8pm, Friday Saturday 10am 9pm. The reasons
that we have chosen these times is that we need to stay open all day for the people
that are out and about during the day but, we also try to stay open later during the
day because there are many things that happen after dinner time in downtown
Salisbury such as, Gallery Gallop, Music at the Mural, Buskers Bash, Holiday Night
Out. This shop will make and sell candies such as Warbites, PB J Cups and
Chocobutters. The location of our candyshop would be in a small rural area like
downtown salisbury. The exact
Huffington Post Arguments For Online Search
When looking for a new product, customers will look to use an online search engine
and almost all websites depend on search engines such as Google, Bing and Yahoo to
bring in potential customers. As stated in coursework 1, The Huffington Post needed
to improve their Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and the position they hold with
regards to online searches. As expected when searching Huffington Post on search
engines, their pages are the top results, along with plenty of related sites. But in order
to increase traffic to The Huffington Post UK, changes need to be implemented.
Without using the word Huffington in the search, their presence is almost
untraceable. Also when searching online news , The Huffington Post s site isn t
prompted until past the 5th page. In 2014, Googleundertook a study... Show more

However, the amount of traffic reaching sights through paid ads can be dependant
of where they are placed. As expected, PPC ads at the top of the page seem to hurt
organic results the most, with a 34% drop in click through rates for the first
organic listing and an average drop of 20% for the first page. This shows the
possible increase in website visitors The Huffington Post could receive if they
were to begin using pay per click ads. The next page leads on to an action plan to
create a PPC ad for The Huffington Post and how it will increase traffic to their
site. Making a PPC ad takes very little time at all but can be costly depending on
the amount of disposable income the company has. The whole process can easily
be done within a 7 day period. It would only take a day or two to come up with a
distinctive ad design that can draw the customer to the site. While this is being
done, a Google account can be created and key words and phrases can be thought of
to increase the likelihood of the search
Gamma Herpes Virus (EBV)
EBV (Epstein Barr Virus) also known as Gamma herpes Virus 1, is amongst a large
family of approximately 100 herpes virus, 8 of these are known to infect humans.
These are Cytomegalovirus, herpes simplex virus 1 and 2, varicella zoster virus,
human herpes virus 6 (variant A and B), human herpes virus 7, kaposi s sarcoma
(human herpes virus8) and EBV (gamma Herpes Virus 1). All of these are classified
into 3 different subfamilies known as alpha, beta and gamma dependant on the
specificity of cell host range and tropism. The alpha group includes Herpes simplex
virus 1 and 2, and Varicella Zoster Virus and can be described to have a broad host
cell range, a short reproductive cycle in epithelial cells and efficiently spreads well in

Beta Herpes subfamily consists of CMV (cytomegalovirus HHV 5) also classified
along with HHV 6 and 7 (Human Herpes Virus 6, 7); HHV 5, 6 and 7 have similar
genetic homology. The beta subfamily has a restricted host range in vitro, except in
vivo where few types of cells including monocytes, lymphocytes and epithelial cells
can be the site of replication; HHV 6 and 7 tend to target T lymphocytes and
latently infect lymphocytes (lymphoreticular cells), secretory glands and kidneys.
The focus is on the Gamma subfamily which includes Kaposi s sarcoma Herpes

The Company That I Have Decided To Research Is Barnes
The company that I have decided to research is Barnes Noble.
Throughout this past decade Globalization and technology have drastically
impacted the sales of Barnes Noble. In the recent past Barnes and Noble was faced
with its biggest challenge it has faced in its history, trying to keep up with Amazon s
fire tablet. This was definitely a new challenge because unlike Barnes and Nobles
past competitors such as Borders book store they were now in current competition
with a specific product of a company. The Amazon tablet was like nothing consumers
had seen before.
Amazon had managed to produce a tablet that was able to make hundreds of
thousands of books available at a time and allowed their users to download these
books from any ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Even if you do read enough to take advantage of Kindle Unlimited, be aware that
you don t get to choose any book in Amazon s vast library. Five major publishers
Simon Schuster, HarperCollins, Hachette, MacMillan and Penguin have all opted
out of the plan. That means you won t be reading much Steven King or Dan Brown
on Kindle Unlimited, nor can you read Brad Thor s Act of War, the book currently
sitting atop the New York Times bestseller list. Johnson, D. (2014, July 23). Barnes
and Noble will have to get these book authors to agree to allow them to release their
titles to consumers who are willing to pay Barnes and Noble for a monthly
subscription to go along with their new tablet purchase.
While implementing the industrial organization model I would also put into place
the resource based model. Barnes and Nobel needs to retrace their steps and realize
why they were so popular and profitable from the beginning. I would make it a
point to change the company s internal atmosphere and make sure it targets
customers who know what they want and don t know what they want. People who
currently own Amazon s Tablet only have the option to purchase written books or
magazines, however when customers come into a Barnes and Noble store, they
have a variety of options to browse over from books, to games, to music Toys and
games, a small but increasingly
Dylan Thomas And The Poetry Of The 1940s
Further David Perkins asserts that: Dylan Thomas was too relentlessly melodious
and rhetorical, making the fifties poets all the more conscious of the morality of
plainness. Moreover they could not recognize their world in the clichГ©s of Thomas
Fern Hill or Under Milk Wood , and thus they were motivated all the more toward an
honest realism. That Thomas archetypal symbols seemed vague and obscure to the
point of self indulgence impelled them with stronger conviction toward lucid, rational
discourse (Perkins 423).
In Purity of Diction in English Verse, Davie says of the Movement that: it
represented an originally passionate rejection, by one generation of British poets of
all the values of Bohemia (Davie, Purity of Diction 198 99).This ... Show more

Enright s introduction to the Poet s of the 1950s criticized Thomas s poetry on the
familiar ground that it lacked thought: Perhaps the kind of admiration which
Thomas received encouraged him to leave thinking to the New Verse Poets; but
poetry is like a human body in needing bones as well as flesh and blood (Enright,
Poet of the 1950s). A similar idea can be found in Davie s Articulate Energy
published in 1955, which looks back to a period in English history, the eighteenth
century , where strong sense was as common as terms as strong feelings . Davie
sees Romantic and Modernist practice as having destroyed meaning and argument
into poetry by over emphasizing the importance of images. He is able to admit that
in some poetry notably that of Ezra Pound such practice has had beneficial effects;
but one poet whose pursuit of images he will not tolerate is Dylan Thomas: a sonnet
by Dylan Thomas is unacceptable even on Hulme s terms. When concrete images
are crowded upon each other, they lose their concreteness. The milk is soured by the
magic, the bread has lost its tang, and the clod its volume. The things will not stand

Sherlock Holme Foil
The Hound of the Baskerville
The legendary author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle wrote the Hound of the Baskerville.
The story is all about solving the mysterious mystery of the death of Sir Charles.
Sherlock Holmes and his assistant Watson are trying to find out that the murderer is
and how would they solve it. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle uses Stapleton as a foil to
Holmes to highlight between good vs. evil, compare each character s personality, and
how their actions lead to solving the mystery.
As far as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle wrote the story, Stapleton was the greedy person
in which he was the murderer. While Mr. Holmes was a serious and a brilliant
London based detective. Holmes is renowned for his ability at using rationale and an
intelligent observation in solving the case. It is murder, Watson refined, cold blooded,
deliberate murder. The Hound of the Baskerville, page 144. As Watson said, All of my
unspoken instincts, my vague suspicions, suddenly took shape and centered upon the
naturalist. In that impassive, colorless man, with his straw hat and his butterfly net, I
seemed to see something terrible a creature of infinite patience and craft, with a
smiling face and a murderous heart. The Hound of the Baskervilles, page 44 ... Show

the serious and mean but he s also friendly and across the board faith in curses and
the supernatural, Holmes is truly the singular case out of many others who never
questions the quest for a sound reason. In this limit, Holmes speaks to the universe
of logic and science. While Stapleton is an enthusiastic entomologist and a fearless

Glow worms predominantly prey on snails and slugs which make up the majority of

Why Did Jack The Ripper Happen
Jack the Ripper is a famous serial killer during the early 19th century of London.
Jack the Ripper is an interesting topic for me because of it s mystery and that most
people thought it was a myth. I also believed that Jack the Ripper truly exists which
brings me to have the interest to write this essay. Therefore, what led Jack the Ripper
to kill the various victims he did in early 19th century London? I believed that Jack
the ripper killed his victim due to the corruptness of early 19th century London. 19th
century London is a time era where people are starting to rise up on economy.
England during that time had a very important change to it which is the Industrial

was no murder happened in London at all in 1887. Even his He committed these

victims and killed them at night when no one was around. He was also famous
because there were not many clues to lead the police to find the killer. This made

between polices to request for operation or changes. Jack the Ripper was so skilled
at creating a crime that James Munro, one of the officer, requested a hundred more
uniformed officers and disguised officers to Whitechapel. The officers also tried
using a blood hound to sniff out Jack the Ripper. Therefore, Jack the Ripper made

With busy lives, it can be hard to find time to volunteer. It may also be difficult to
donate since all of you does not have a stable income, but if you would just save up
your Christmas presents and some of your money, you can make a difference to the
children. The benefits of volunteering are huge to you, and your community. Unpaid
volunteers are often the glue that pull a community together. Volunteering allows you
to associate with your community and make it a better place. Even if you help out
with the smallest tasks, it can make a real difference to them and the organizations in
need.
Doing volunteer is very meaningful and interesting, and it can be an energizing
escape from your daily routine. You can finally loosened up from your excessive
amount of work in this city and do a good cause in the meantime. Volunteering also
provides you with improved creativity and vision that can motivate you and carry

Abstract: At present there is no innovative solution to unlock car doors and to
provide car Anti theft mechanism. We tried here to implement car door unlocking
using Bluetooth technology and anti theft system using GSM technology. This
paper strives to achieve an efficient and inexpensive solution for scenarios like we
may forget our car keys inside the car in which it was equipped with central locking
system. This central locking system after certain period of time (which is pre

Federal Reserve Functions
Where would we be in the United States without a central banking system? Most
likely with many different forms of currency varying state to state and likely the
inflation rate of our currency would be sky high. The U.S. would be without the
ability to control markets and interest rates. The central banks of the U.S. help our
country control these situations and help protect consumers and financial institutions.
But before we can talk about what the Federal Reserve does and its responsibilities,
we first have to figure out how our country decided to bring a central bankinto
existence. When our country was first founded we did not have a central bank and
continued to not have up until 1791. Before this most of the currency was state to state

How Does Samsara Contribute To The Pollution Of The
Ganges...
The Ganges River is the most holy and most polluted river in India. Everyday the
river is filled with waste, oil, and even dead bodies. The pollution of the river has
drastically increased over the last fifteen years. The Ganges River runs through one
of the most sacred Hindu cities in India also known as Varanasi. In Hinduism, rivers
are known to be worshiped for embodying the divine, creative, female energy that
generate the universe . This explains why Hindus feel the need to bathe and throw
ashes or valuables into the river. There are certain ideas in the religion that affect the
abuse of the river. The Hindu concepts of samsara and Brahman are possible
contributors to the pollutionof the Ganges River, whereas karma is a potential
solution.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Contrary to popular belief, karma literally means action. Hindus want good karma
so that they will proceed in a better state for the next life in hope of eventually
reaching moksha. The idea that doing good will help a Hindu reach their ultimate
goal is what could inspire them to clean the river. Although, Hindus cannot simply
do a good deed such as cleaning a river to have good karma. One must perform a
kindly act selflessly opposed to just doing it to better themselves. If more Hindus
selflessly helped clean the Ganges River, then the massive environmental problem
could possibly be diminished. The Ganges River in India is in the unfortunate state of
pollution today because of the Hindu beliefs of samsara and Brahman, but karma
could be a possible fix to the problem. If Hindus realize the cause of their actions
and also how they can help solve the dilemma, it could change the condition of the
beloved and holy river

Why I Want To Be A Marine Corps Essay
The Marine Corps is not to be taken lightly. Being a marine is so much more than
just the intricate uniform, it is the way to pride, discipline, and stability. At first,
joining the Marines Corps seemed to be unachievable goal, however, after talking to
a recruiter, I was shocked to find out that I have all of the characteristics that one
would deem necessary for entry into the MarineCorps. These characteristics I am
referring to are great leadership, commitment, and most importantly, courage. I
have mentally prepared myself for the rigorous rode ahead of me. In my opinion, I
see it as an investment into my future by providing myself with a stable career.
Growing up, I always had extremely low expectations set for myself. It may seem
a tad to personal to share this, however, it created the strongest driving force that I
have for joining the Marines. I crave to prove all the people who have ever doubted
me that they were wrong and that I am able to amount to something. What better
honor is there then to be a part of the Marines? I have not yet enlisted, but I still

Global Warming And Its Effects
Global Warming
The earth is getting warmer, animals and their habitats are declining, human health
is at risk and the cause of all this terror is Global Warming. Global warming will
cause many parts of the world to change. In the next 50 years climate change could
be the cause of more than a million terrestrial species becoming extinct. Sea levels
will raise which means more flooding and is not good for the plants. With too
much water the plants will die and herbivores will lose their food source as well as
their habitats. As a result the food chain will be broken and survival for any creature
is slim to none. In conclusion, Global Warming is an important issue, but before we
can devise any solutions we must first understand the causes. This paper will focus
on the causes of global warming and argue that excessive carbon dioxide emissions is
the predominate cause. This paper will start of briefly discussing the history of
Global Warming (GW) by explaining how greenhouse gases contribute to GW
through the greenhouse effect and how production of these gases has increased along
with rise in global temperatures. Next, it will explain the causes of global warming
including carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrus oxide (fertilizer) emissions. The
strengths and the weaknesses of each cause will be looked at; prompting the
conclusion that inflated carbon dioxide emissions are the essential driver. The final
segment of the paper will conclude and explain policy
Identity And Identity In Coriolanus
He was a kind of nothing, titleless, /Till he had forged himself a name o the fire /Of
burning Rome (_______). In Shakepearse s play, Coriolanus, having a name is
strongly correlated to having an identity, thus if an individual does not have a name
he or she is nothing. Coriolanus is a prominent Roman war hero who had a strongly
developed sense of selfin the beginning of the play. However, as the play progresses
he falters and decides to become dangerously independent, not even wanting to
accept the name given to him by his mother. He continually changes his name and
identity throughout the play. Coriolanus rejects Rome s societal norms and
establishes his own virtues that he lives by. This method of thinking ultimately led
to his banishment from Rome, which also pushed him into forging for himself a
new name. I can relate to Coriolanus struggle to find a name for himself. I feel that
the name given to me by my mother holds no identity in and of itself. Rather, it is
the choices that I make in my own life that will determine what that name will come
to represent. Coriolanus first name, given to him at birth, was Caius Marcius.
Initially, Caius Martius was a strong military general who was confident in his role in
society. As a military general, he made fighting against the Volsces his number one
priority. Due to his overwhelming dedication to his country, Caius Martius was gifted
with the powerful title of Coriolanus. As Herald proclaims, Know, Rome, that all

Mythological Allegory Of The Matrix
Some of the most obvious examples of mythological allegory in The Matrix are
associated with the characters themselves. Mythological allegory pointing to
Christianity is undeniable in the character and activities of Neo. His given name is
Thomas A. Anderson. Thomas is also the name of Jesus disciple who tended to doubt;
thus the cultural nickname, Doubting Thomas . Neo doubted everyone and
seemingly each situation he encountered; he especially doubted his role as The One.
His surname, Anderson, traced to it rudimentary form, means Son of Man, which was
Jesusfavorite term for himself. Consider also that Neo is an anagram of one, and as
a prefix it means new, recent, or in a modern form. In the text, Neo becomes a new
man, The One. His choice between the red and blue pills is reminiscent of the
choice always available to Adam and Eve, the choice to eat the fruit from the tree
of the knowledge of good and evil. The choice to eat the fruit would be an
irreversible decision, one that would change the course of history. Accessing the
knowledge of good and evil also evokes, what some in Christendom call, the age of
accountability, the age at which one knows the difference between good and evil
and therefore much make a choice serve one or the other. Jesus is said to have
grown in wisdom, stature, and in the favor of both Godand humanity. Neo
experiences a similar messianic growth process. When his physical body is rescued
from the pod, it is atrophied and full of needle

concept of it until I read the book The Jungle and began to research for this paper.
Before I begin I would like to go through a condensed version of the history of
Socialism. It was founded in 1901 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Two groups came
together to form the Socialists, the Social Democratic Party and the Kangaroo wing
of the older Socialist Labor Party. These parties contained mostly immigrant workers
from big cities (Jurgis from The Jungle was one such fictional worker). The new
party expanded and included every type of extremist. They stood on the motto of
reform vs. revolution and focused ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In 1960 the book The Other America was published by
Michael Harrington. This book took great favor within the Socialist
Party. The left wing Socialists were beginning to die out and in 1968 the right wing
Socialists held the majority of the members. Over the next years many splits,
divisions and merging occurred under the control of the right wing Socialists and in
1982 the party was renamed the Democratic Socialists of America. The only state to
have a
Socialist ballot is the Socialist Party of Oregon, which formed in 1994.
This is how it remains today.
In the beginning I read Upton Sinclair s novel The Jungle in order to gain entrance
into the Advanced Placement English class. The things I learned about Socialism, the
meat packing industry and
Sinclair s own views lead me to discover a new era of writers I didn t know existed.
These writers brought to the attention of the nation problems that were carefully
shielded from the public s eyes. Many of these authors such as Upton Sinclair, Jack
London, Ida Tarbell and many others took a particularly Socialistic view and this
was expressed in their writing. A few of the books that Sinclair wrote had an
especially socialistic tone, such as The Jungle which was published in 1906.
Conflictive to most people s beliefs The Jungle was not written to reform the meat
packing industry and incite pure food acts.
He stated, I aimed at the public s heart, and by accident I hit it in the
How To Change And Civilize Native Americans
I believe it was simply the U.S. government bullying the native Americans and
taking something they wanted. It is as simple as I want what you have and I am
bigger, stronger and have a larger gun. My opinion is the United states and white
Americans took advantage of an unarmed and out manned society. I hope to show my
reasons for this belief in this paper through historical facts.
Americans who lived in the western frontier feared and resented native Americans.
Americans believed that Native Americans were uncivilized, uneducated and lesser
people. The Indians occupied land that the whites wanted and that was a problem for
the whites. Some Americans thought a good way to rectify this problem was to
change and civilize the native Americans. They wanted to convert Indians to
Christianity, teach them to read and write English and adopt white American
practices. In the southeastern portion of the united states, five Indian tribes embraced
these changes. Even though these tribes embraced these changes and tried to
conform to the white s ways, the Americans still wanted their land. At this point the
whites didn t particularly care that they were now somewhat civilized, they just
wanted the land so they could make themselves rich off of it. The whites pillaged
and burned the homes of the Native Americans, stole livestock and lived on land that
they didn t own to try and force the Native Americans to leave.
The states eventually joined the people in the effort to push
Personal Statement For Purpose For A Doctor Of Pharmacy
As a person with keen interest and enthusiasm towards the field of Doctor of
Pharmacy, fascinated by the innovations and discoveries in this field, I have always
wanted to participate in the march towards excellence in the field of science and be
a cog, albeit small, significant in the wheel of scientific evolution. I choose to major
in this Field with an intense urge to delve deeper into this challenging field.
The predilection I had towards the subject of Biology has led me to pursue Doctor of
Pharmacy. Graduation Program has been a period of self development and self
realization where
I enjoyed my study in Doctor of Pharmacy, Mallareddy College of Pharmacy
(Osmania
University), as it gave me an opportunity to interact with a strong faculty and students
of high caliber. Interaction and organization of different awareness programs during
the period of internship made me to interact and counsel people to protect and
promote health, and prevent disease and injury. I was fascinated by the meticulous
efforts that address the physical, mental and environmental health concerns of
communities and populations, and was galvanized to learn more about it. This has
entrenched my passion of making a career in the field of Public Health.
A Glance on my schooling:
Everything has a beginning and an end. For me, the start was provided at Geeta
School,
Hyderabad, India where I did my schooling. This beginning has provided me a strong
foundation in Science on which I am here now. I was
High School Football Benefits
Participating in high school football has had a beneficial impact on myself as a
person. Football has prepared me for situations and scenarios I will face during
adulthood. Football workouts and activities occupied almost every day from the
beginning of July to the end of October. This experience is similar to a person
going to work almost every single day. If an individual on our team was ever tardy
for a football function, the player was punished. The gameof football also taught me
to face adversity; in the game of football not everything can go your team s way, but
it is the way the team meets the challenge that shows who they really are. This
applies in the business world.
I contributed four seasons to our football program and succeeded
A Review of the Doctrine of Agency by Necessity
INTRODUCTION: The doctrine of agency by necessity establishes that authority
shall be assumed, in a necessitous situation, by a person who acts in the interest of
the principal. The Indian Contract Act remains silent as to classification of the
doctrine under any section, though many debate that it is to be under the head of
Section 189. This is an extremely ambiguous area in the law of agency, as there are
quite a few specific scenarios apart from the quintessential shipmaster , which are
debatable as to assumption of authority. In this paper, the concepts of the conditions
prerequisite to the assumption of authority shall be discussed, and then an analysis of
the special situations of ambiguity with reference to cases shall be addressed.
ANALYSIS Normally, the authority conferred to an agent by his principal stands as
the limits, beyond which any action taken by the agent has no legal validity and
makes the agent liable. But if the circumstances are so demanding, such that the
interests of the principal are at stake due to a situation of emergency, the law confers
certain extraneous rights on the agent which empower him to take certain measures,
even those extending to changing the legal position of the principal, so as to protect
the principal s interests. Even in such cases, there are some conditions to be satisfied.
These conditions are, (1) it must be impracticable for the agent to communicate with
the principal, (2) the act of the agent must be absolutely
Media s Influence On Media
The way that diasporic audiences use media products to give them a connection to
their country of origin has been a topic of research for many scholars. The increasing
ability to stream content online allows people to keep the same routine in watching
content and to watch content which they can relate to and see themselves reflected
in, often unlike the content on in their new home country. Online news allows people
to keep up with current events and look out for events that may affect the ones they
care about and improvements in communications technology allow people to connect
directly with the people they love more effectively. Mediaprovides a way for diasporic
audiences to find their sense of self and identityin a country where they may not
have a lot of representation. Previous models of looking at diasporic audiences
have been helpful in allowing us to see the positive impacts that media can have,
however they still continue to look at these audiences and their lives as the other
which is a step backward in the diverse societies we live in.
Sinclair and Cunningham in Go with the Flow: Diasporas and the Media, discuss the
way diasporic audiences are often categorized by the scattering of people away from
their home countries, while still maintaining strong connections to them (18). These
people may resist assimilation into their host culture and because of this they may
feel marginalized by the culture they have moved into (Sinclair and Cunningham, 19).
These
The War Of The American War
Soon the Confederate States of America became a rebellion called the Confederacy
that included 13 southern states. President Lincoln would not stand for this as his
special message to congress on July 4, 1861 stated, It was with the deepest regret
that the Executive found the duty of employing the war power, in defense of the
government, forced upon him. (Harris 2007) South Carolina firing on Fort Sumter
was the opening salvo of the Civil War. Both the North and South believed in their
causes, and both sides thought the war would be over after a few months. Both sides
were wrong. Bloody battles such as, Antietam, Bull Run, and Shiloh made it clear
that this war would drag on for a long time. The Union of the north was particularly
frustrated by their inabi lity to defeat the confederates. It was during the third year of
the conflict, that president Lincoln offered his emancipation proclamation, thus
freeing all the slaves. This proclamation opened the door for abolitionists and equal
rights groups of the North who had been pushing for arming freed Blacks to fight on
the union side.
Massachusetts Governor, John A. Andrews, became the first to call for African
Americans to assemble as an actual fighting unit. Over 1000 men enlisted in the 54th
Massachusetts Regiment. They came from mostly surrounding states, from runaway
slaves and a few native Massachusetts blacks, whether they were a free or a runaway
slave. With such a never been tried endeavor, it was a total work
My Vacation At The Picnic Table
*beep**beep* I sat up real quick and rubbed my eyes. I was so excited for today! My
family and I are going to visit a nearby lake for the weekend, and I can t wait! I ran
down the stairs and ate breakfast with my family, except my brother Marco, he
must be still asleep. Half way through breakfast my lazy brother decided to wake
up from the dead. When we finished eating, we all started packing for the weekend.
When we all were ready to hit the road, we climbed in the RV, then we were on our
way.
We arrived at the lake thirty minutes later and I was itching to swim already. I
climbed out the RV and helped set up everything. I asked my parents if I could go
swim already, but they told me not right now, but tomorrow I can. I sat at the... Show

Marco rolled his eyes, and got up to help. My brother and dad worked on cooking
the meat, while my mom and I worked on the sides in the RV. I helped with making
a salad, baked potatoes, and corn.
We sat at the table, and started digging into our food. It taste like heaven in my
mouth! We finished up our food, scrapped our plates and set them in the RV.
We got ready for bed, and all climbed into the RV. I was sitting there for a good
fifteen minutes, thinking about how excited I am about being able to finally swim
tomorrow. During my thinking time, I dozed off to a peaceful darkness.
I woke up to birds chirping, which is quite odd for me, because I don t really hear
them were I live. I sat up out of bed, and stretched. I walked outside seeing my
parents drinking there morning coffee, and chatting away. I walked back into the
RV and made me my coffee to get me started for the day. I heard snoring, the first
thing I thought was my lazy brother. I grabbed my swim wear and changed into
them. I walked back out, and asked my parents if I could go swim. They told me yes,
and to be careful.
I darted off down the hill to the swimming area. I slipped off my flip flops and ran
straight into the water. I was enjoying the water while I floated on my back. I decided
I should try to swim all the way to the pole. I was going at a slow pace when I felt
something slither by my foot. I jerked my foot back when I felt
Fedor Argumentative Essay
Fedor Emelianenko said this to a reporter before a fight, Years ago we hardly had
anything to eat. Now I have more money and I see every opponent as a man that is
trying to put me back into that poorer period. That man has to be eliminated. He
was undefeated for twenty seven fights in a row while fighting under the Pride
Fighting Championship banner. Fedor gave his full potential in everything he did.
So how far can you take your full potential like him? His career professionally
started on May 21, 2000. He won his first four fights, one of them being one of the
toughest fights in his career against the ADCC heavyweight champ, Ricardo Arona.
His first loss to Tsuyoshi Kohsaka on December 22,2000 who he later defeated in the

Analysis Of Henry David Thoreau s Resistance To Civil...
Henry David Thoreau in his article titled Resistance to Civil Government, or Civil
Disobedience stipulates that men serve the government in three different forms
namely with their bodies, their minds, and with their consciences (Thoreau pg. 3).
The group that serves with their bodies is the law enforcement officers, the military,
national guards and others. According to Thoreau these men behave like machines
and do not consider the morality or the impact of their actions on people. They
sacrifice their bodies to protect or enforce the state law or power. Thoreau claimed
that they put themselves on a level with wood and earth and stones; and wooden men
can perhaps be manufactured that will serve the purpose as well (Thoreau pg.... Show

Auld on the advice of her husband suspended teaching him to read. She lost her
compassion, goodwill, and treated him as a slave and her demeanor turned nasty
and vile. Nothing seemed to make her more angry than to see me with a newspaper
(Douglass pg. 11). By learning how to read and write Douglass also learned more
about slavery and became very regretful of this knowledge. He felt that learning to
read and write had turned into a curse rather than blessing (Douglass pg. 12).
Literacy in my life opened doors of opportunity for me. I graduated from high
school at age seventeen and on top of the ten percentile of my graduating class. I
earned a fully athletic scholarship to University of Texas at Austin. Whereas
Douglass learned to read and write from unqualified people and on his own, I am
fortunate to be taught by highly qualified and trained teachers and

  • 1. Sample Interview Essays Writing an essay on the topic of "Sample Interview Essays" can be a challenging task that requires careful consideration and attention to detail. One of the primary difficulties lies in the need to balance the informative and narrative aspects of the essay. Crafting a compelling narrative while providing insightful analysis of interview responses can be demanding, as it requires a deep understanding of the interviewee's perspective and the ability to convey it effectively to the reader. Another challenge is the research aspect, as the writer must not only conduct a successful interview but also gather relevant background information to contextualize the responses. This involves extensive preparation, thoughtful questioning, and the ability to extract meaningful insights from the interviewee's experiences. Additionally, maintaining a coherent structure throughout the essay poses a difficulty. Ensuring a logical flow from introduction to conclusion, while seamlessly integrating direct quotes and paraphrased information, requires careful organization and editing. Striking the right balance between the interviewee's voice and the writer's analysis is crucial to maintaining the essay's authenticity and readability. Moreover, addressing potential biases and maintaining objectivity is a delicate task. Writers must navigate through their own perspectives and biases, presenting the interviewee's responses in a fair and unbiased manner. This requires a keen awareness of one's own preconceptions and a commitment to presenting a well-rounded perspective. In conclusion, crafting an essay on "Sample Interview Essays" is a multifaceted endeavor, demanding proficiency in interviewing, research, organization, and writing. However, for those seeking assistance with such tasks, it's worth noting that HelpWriting.net offers a range of services where similar essays and much more can be ordered. • 2. Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Essay Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Many studies have established that a developing organism is susceptible to exogenous and endogenous factors during certain stage of the organism s development. The effects of ethyl alcohol or ethanol on the developing fetus, which manifest a variety of characteristic abnormalities, are collectively called Fetal alcohol Syndrome. Ethanol exposure to the fetus causes various malformation ranging from the cellular to the organismic levels with the eventual results frequently being different levels of mental retardation (3). Chick embryo studies provide a relatively good model for defining the effects of ethanol at many organizational levels of neurogenesis, cell death, neuronal migration and differentiation, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The consequences of ethanol are dependent on the time of administration and duration of treatment (3). Animal models have displayed conclusively that alcohol can alter normal development of the central nervous system. Alcohol exposure during development has been shown to modify brain growth, neuronal number, myelination, neurotransmitter levels and receptor binding, synaptogenesis, and many other aspects of neuronal metabolism and morphology. There are indications of alcohol s immediate or short term teratogenic effects, typically recounting deficits or delays in brain growth parameters, measured in the animals that were still in early stages of development (2). Most infants identified with FAS are microcephalic, hyperactive, and mentally retarded by age four to ten. This persistence of brain dysfunction is what causes the highest human and economic toll (2). Several studies have exhibited reductions in neuronal number in developing animals following alcohol exposure. However, neuronal death is a consequence of normal development. Some neuronal populations maintain a fifty percent reduction in the number before stabilizing in an adult configuration. The possibility exists that developmental alcohol exposure may in at least some circumstances, be accelerating the deaths of only those neurons that

  • 4. Notes On The Physics Of Physics Overview During my time in physics, I have learned a variety of topics, equations, formulas, and ideas that further continue my intelligence and learning when it comes to my life. However, there has always been something in nature that has always gripped my attention more than anything else. Water. Water as a general concept is something that is truly a miracle for life. It allows all living creatures to survive through drinking, bathing, and an overall healthy and happy life for all. Because of this, I was able to derive the law from two different scientists regarding this topic. One of which was Evangelista Torricelli(Galileo s assistant), who was able to derive Torricelli s law v2 = 2gH, in where g represents the acceleration due to the... I chose to measure 100 mL differences for water volume differences in order to achieve a total range of numbers between 500 and 1700 mL. I also determined that at 1700 mL, the flow rate allowed for the water to drain nearly 100 mL over the 5 seconds recorded. If I used a value that was less than 100 mL, I would find that one trial would go into another trial. I chose use a period of 5 seconds for a few reasons. This period allows us to collect a vast range of data for the amount of drainage, between the values of 27 and 96 mL. If I used a longer duration, like for instance, 10 seconds, I would find that the amount of water drained would be roughly between the values of 50 and 200 mL, which would go into the other trials. The reason why I did not choose a value less than 5 seconds was because such a small value would greatly amplify the problem of my reaction time. Also, the values collected would go between 5 mL and 25 mL, which would be too small for this experiment to work. Finally, I chose to use 6 trials for each condition. • 5. Analysis Of The Movie Spike Lee Spike Lee is an Afro American director who has developed more fame and importance in the last 20 years. He portrays his stories in a way that nothing is fictitious and many of them are written about some real events. Lee has co produced many of his films and has acted in some small roles within them. According to IMDb (2016), Lee s work consists of: 26 films, 30 television programs, 45 commercials, 15 short films, starred in several films, and was a producer and writer of many other works. Although, his films are somewhat irregular in terms of color palettes, shots, and exposition. Regarding the plot, he is considered a drama director. Also, his works always emphasize action and occasionally comedy. Based on all the above, Lee s career will be analyzed from his early work in the film industry, his career, and some of his most notable and recognized works. For example, in many of the films I have seen so far, Spike Lee tends to substantiate his works in many cultural, social, and political problems: besides the racism suffered by many African Americans in the United States mainly. Lee became a director of promise with his first long film, She has to have it (1986), according to McGowan (2014). This film was shot in around two weeks and cost around $175,000 to make, but grossed more than $7 million, becoming in one of the most profitable films created in 1986. Lee often takes a critical look at race relations, political problems, crime, and violence. His film Do the
  • 6. Krzysztof Penderecki Research Paper Krzysztof Penderecki (1933 ) Penderecki s music has always been full of vitality, supplemented with an intimacy when in regards to his formation. An NPR producer described his music as being on the front lines of the battle between the forces of atonality and lyricism . Although starting out as a avant garde composer with progressive concepts, Penderecki later abandoned that trend and looked back at Romanticism and even Bach for compositional inspiration. However, this does not signify a transformation to the sweeping lushness of the late Romantics. His music can be stated that it was not for the faint hearted, and occasionally, it can be frightening. Thus, this work, like many of his other works, is immensely ardent and somewhat autobiographical, yet it also is a tribute for all the victims of war. A funny annecdote is associated with its original score when it was first published. On its trip to the German publisher house, the score went missing, and Penderecki had to reconstruct it from memory. Later, it was revealed that instead of missing, it was held in customs. They suspected the score to be a secret code to building an atom bomb, or some army secrets of the Warsaw Pact. The package was eventually sent to the addressee, after customs discovered it to be only notes. What was enthralling for Penderecki, is that when he compared his original to his reconstructed score, they were identical. Segments of this piece has been implemented into film, namely Stanley Kubrick s 1980 adaptation of The Shining, Wes Craven s 1991 film The People Under the Stairs, and the 2006 film Children of

However it has special focus on the effects of micro and macro levels factors on cultural adaption process. This refers to cultural and institutional patterns of host culture and individual background and psychological characteristic respectively. It has also focused on understanding of cross cultural adoption in the context of new learning and psychological growth so as to form more complete understanding of the cross cultural adaption process, organizational and consolidation of factors that influence cross cultural adoption process has also been focused and finally inclusion of assimilation of ideological points of view. In addition there are three boundaries that are set to define the situation of cross cultural adaptation occurrence. The first is that the strangers have had a primary socialization in one culture and have moved into a different and unfamiliar culture. The other one is that the strangers are dependent on the host environment for meeting their personal and social needs. Also, the strangers are at least minimally engaged in firsthand communication experiences with the

If an African refused to eat, they received an hour of whipping or, even if one preferred death to being a slave, they were brutally punished. Equiano even witnessed the crew hurting one another, to the point where some died and had to be thrown overboard into the sea. A few of the Africans could no longer handle the mistreatment of being a slave and jumped overboard in attempt of suicide. Some succeeded, but those who did not succeed were lifted back on board and beaten unmercifully. At some point, most of the Africans were placed in the basement of the ship and had to endure one another s stench. There was lack of health assistance and they were not allowed to properly excuse themselves to use the restroom. Because there was lack of fresh air and they had to stay in the basement for days at a time, many of the Africans got sick (Equiano 58). Equiano pondered why the white men treated their slaves so poorly, because slaves in Africa were never treated so inhumane. While living with his master, working on slave ships, and working on a plantation, Equiano had seen many practices of slavery in America. The way Americans treated their slaves was very different than the way Africans treated their slaves. For those who survived the slave ship, they were separated and

My partners and I studied the Ray Bans still ad (pictured below) (Copyranter 1). Other people inspire people all the time so one of the first places to look at was any inspiration for this advertisement. It was found that the inspiration for this ad was Taylor Mead (Bans 1). Taylor Mead was an openly gay man who was an actor. He was born in Grosse Pointe, Michigan in 1924 and died in 2013. During his life, he moved to New York City to live freely. While in New York City, Mead was an actor in the movie The Flower Thief and due to this, Mead caught Andy Warhols attention (Herd 1). Andy Warhol was a famous artist who created works such as performance art, filmmaking, and more (Biography.com Editors 1). It has been widely thought that Warhol was gay or that he was a voyeur who is someone who gains sexual pleasure from watching others being naked/engaging in sexual activity (By June 1951 1). Interestingly, after Warhol saw Mead in The Flower Thief , they started to work on films together such as Tarzan and Jane Regained , Sort Of , and Lonesome Cowboys . Eventually, a critic panned Mead, stating that in The Flower Thief , which was done without Warhol, Mead s butt was viewable the majority of the film. This criticism led to Mead and

  • 13. Hamlet Twelfth Night William Shakespeare s plays Hamlet and Twelfth Night are completely opposite plays. However, there are many connections that can be made between the two. Seeing as Hamlet is a dark tragedy and Twelfth Night is a romantic comedy, both seem to have romantic twists to them developed by the hindering of the truth of one s appearance. These are shown through major themes, such as deceit through disguises, complex love triangles, and varying opinions of marriage. In the play Twelfth NightShakespeare uses disguise as a major theme. This is partially what makes the play a comedy but also creates the ties to Hamlet . In the beginning of Hamlet the main character himself makes everyone believe he is mad to try to get the truth out of his uncle of why is father died. Many of the other characters in this play pretend to be good natured and caring toward Hamlet, when in all reality they were unjust and self absorbed. In the end, the countries were striving to recover from World War 1 and were in need of a treaty to prevent any future war from occurring. The countries came to an agreement and decided to create the Treaty of Versailles. This treaty was made to end the state of war between Germany and the Allied Powers, but Germany was not allowed to attend the Conference so they had no say in the terms that were discussed. The Allies punished Germany in the Treaty of Versailles because of 1) pressure put on the allied countries by civilians to discipline Germany and 2) the strong feeling that Germany should pay for all of the damage and destruction caused by the war considering they were a major cause of starting it. The terms of the Treaty of Versailles caused Germany to lose everything territory, money due to reparations, alliances, military control, disarmament, and worst their pride; essentially Germany had to take full blame for the war. But, as with anything, the eyeis prone to defects and problems. An understanding behind the structure of the eye helps to understand the most common defect with eyes, myopiaand hyperopia. Luckily both of these defects are able to be corrected with the use of corrective lenses. First, an understanding behind the structure of the eye helps to understand the problems that can develop. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For the myopic eye, the use of a diverging lens helps to correct the vision. The diverging lens changes the focal point causing the image to diverge before it reaches the eye instead of diverging just before the retina. This image then converges as it passes through the cornea causing a clear image to appear on the retina instead of before it ( Nearsightedness and Its Correction ). The most common treatment for myopic eyes is the use of glasses or contact lenses. There is also surgical ways to fix the eye including laser procedures including PRK or LASIK ( Myopia (Nearsightedness) ). For the hyperopic eye, the use of a converging lens helps to correct the vision. The image is refracted before it has a chance to enter the eye which in turn decreases the image distance, s. This then translates the image to be focused on the retina instead of just beyond it ( Farsightedness and Its Correction ). Throughout this past decade Globalization and technology have drastically impacted the sales of Barnes Noble. In the recent past Barnes and Noble was faced with its biggest challenge it has faced in its history, trying to keep up with Amazon s fire tablet. This was definitely a new challenge because unlike Barnes and Nobles past competitors such as Borders book store they were now in current competition with a specific product of a company. Dylan Thomas And The Poetry Of The 1940s Further David Perkins asserts that: Dylan Thomas was too relentlessly melodious and rhetorical, making the fifties poets all the more conscious of the morality of plainness. Moreover they could not recognize their world in the clichГ©s of Thomas Fern Hill or Under Milk Wood , and thus they were motivated all the more toward an honest realism. That Thomas archetypal symbols seemed vague and obscure to the point of self indulgence impelled them with stronger conviction toward lucid, rational discourse (Perkins 423). Enright s introduction to the Poet s of the 1950s criticized Thomas s poetry on the familiar ground that it lacked thought: Perhaps the kind of admiration which Thomas received encouraged him to leave thinking to the New Verse Poets; but poetry is like a human body in needing bones as well as flesh and blood (Enright, Poet of the 1950s). A similar idea can be found in Davie s Articulate Energy published in 1955, which looks back to a period in English history, the eighteenth century , where strong sense was as common as terms as strong feelings . Davie sees Romantic and Modernist practice as having destroyed meaning and argument into poetry by over emphasizing the importance of images. He is able to admit that in some poetry notably that of Ezra Pound such practice has had beneficial effects; but one poet whose pursuit of images he will not tolerate is Dylan Thomas: a sonnet by Dylan Thomas is unacceptable even on Hulme s terms. • 41. Essay on Uptian Sinclair And Socialism Upton Sinclair and Socialism Socialism has always been hard for me to understand. I never really grasped the concept of it until I read the book The Jungle and began to research for this paper. Before I begin I would like to go through a condensed version of the history of Socialism. It was founded in 1901 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Two groups came together to form the Socialists, the Social Democratic Party and the Kangaroo wing of the older Socialist Labor Party. These parties contained mostly immigrant workers from big cities (Jurgis from The Jungle was one such fictional worker). The new party expanded and included every type of extremist. They stood on the motto of reform vs. revolution and focused ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In 1960 the book The Other America was published by Michael Harrington. This book took great favor within the Socialist Party. The left wing Socialists were beginning to die out and in 1968 the right wing Socialists held the majority of the members. Over the next years many splits, divisions and merging occurred under the control of the right wing Socialists and in 1982 the party was renamed the Democratic Socialists of America. The only state to have a Socialist ballot is the Socialist Party of Oregon, which formed in 1994. This is how it remains today. In the beginning I read Upton Sinclair s novel The Jungle in order to gain entrance into the Advanced Placement English class. The things I learned about Socialism, the meat packing industry and Sinclair s own views lead me to discover a new era of writers I didn t know existed. These writers brought to the attention of the nation problems that were carefully shielded from the public s eyes. Many of these authors such as Upton Sinclair, Jack London, Ida Tarbell and many others took a particularly Socialistic view and this was expressed in their writing. A few of the books that Sinclair wrote had an especially socialistic tone, such as The Jungle which was published in 1906. Conflictive to most people s beliefs The Jungle was not written to reform the meat packing industry and incite pure food acts. He stated, I aimed at the public s heart, and by accident I hit it in the
  • 42. How To Change And Civilize Native Americans I believe it was simply the U.S. government bullying the native Americans and taking something they wanted. It is as simple as I want what you have and I am bigger, stronger and have a larger gun. My opinion is the United states and white Americans took advantage of an unarmed and out manned society. I hope to show my reasons for this belief in this paper through historical facts. Americans who lived in the western frontier feared and resented native Americans. Americans believed that Native Americans were uncivilized, uneducated and lesser people. The Indians occupied land that the whites wanted and that was a problem for the whites. Some Americans thought a good way to rectify this problem was to change and civilize the native Americans. They wanted to convert Indians to Christianity, teach them to read and write English and adopt white American practices. In the southeastern portion of the united states, five Indian tribes embraced these changes. Even though these tribes embraced these changes and tried to conform to the white s ways, the Americans still wanted their land. At this point the whites didn t particularly care that they were now somewhat civilized, they just wanted the land so they could make themselves rich off of it. The whites pillaged and burned the homes of the Native Americans, stole livestock and lived on land that they didn t own to try and force the Native Americans to leave. The states eventually joined the people in the effort to push

  • 44. High School Football Benefits Participating in high school football has had a beneficial impact on myself as a person. Football has prepared me for situations and scenarios I will face during adulthood. Football workouts and activities occupied almost every day from the beginning of July to the end of October. This experience is similar to a person going to work almost every single day. If an individual on our team was ever tardy for a football function, the player was punished. The gameof football also taught me to face adversity; in the game of football not everything can go your team s way, but it is the way the team meets the challenge that shows who they really are. This applies in the business world. I contributed four seasons to our football program and succeeded
  • 45. A Review of the Doctrine of Agency by Necessity INTRODUCTION: The doctrine of agency by necessity establishes that authority shall be assumed, in a necessitous situation, by a person who acts in the interest of the principal. The Indian Contract Act remains silent as to classification of the doctrine under any section, though many debate that it is to be under the head of Section 189. This is an extremely ambiguous area in the law of agency, as there are quite a few specific scenarios apart from the quintessential shipmaster , which are debatable as to assumption of authority. In this paper, the concepts of the conditions prerequisite to the assumption of authority shall be discussed, and then an analysis of the special situations of ambiguity with reference to cases shall be addressed. ANALYSIS Normally, the authority conferred to an agent by his principal stands as the limits, beyond which any action taken by the agent has no legal validity and makes the agent liable. But if the circumstances are so demanding, such that the interests of the principal are at stake due to a situation of emergency, the law confers certain extraneous rights on the agent which empower him to take certain measures, even those extending to changing the legal position of the principal, so as to protect the principal s interests. Even in such cases, there are some conditions to be satisfied. These conditions are, (1) it must be impracticable for the agent to communicate with the principal, (2) the act of the agent must be absolutely
  • 46. Media s Influence On Media The way that diasporic audiences use media products to give them a connection to their country of origin has been a topic of research for many scholars. The increasing ability to stream content online allows people to keep the same routine in watching content and to watch content which they can relate to and see themselves reflected in, often unlike the content on in their new home country. Online news allows people to keep up with current events and look out for events that may affect the ones they care about and improvements in communications technology allow people to connect directly with the people they love more effectively. Mediaprovides a way for diasporic audiences to find their sense of self and identityin a country where they may not have a lot of representation. Previous models of looking at diasporic audiences have been helpful in allowing us to see the positive impacts that media can have, however they still continue to look at these audiences and their lives as the other which is a step backward in the diverse societies we live in. Sinclair and Cunningham in Go with the Flow: Diasporas and the Media, discuss the way diasporic audiences are often categorized by the scattering of people away from their home countries, while still maintaining strong connections to them (18). These people may resist assimilation into their host culture and because of this they may feel marginalized by the culture they have moved into (Sinclair and Cunningham, 19). These
  • 47. The War Of The American War Soon the Confederate States of America became a rebellion called the Confederacy that included 13 southern states. President Lincoln would not stand for this as his special message to congress on July 4, 1861 stated, It was with the deepest regret that the Executive found the duty of employing the war power, in defense of the government, forced upon him. (Harris 2007) South Carolina firing on Fort Sumter was the opening salvo of the Civil War. Both the North and South believed in their causes, and both sides thought the war would be over after a few months. Both sides were wrong. Bloody battles such as, Antietam, Bull Run, and Shiloh made it clear that this war would drag on for a long time. The Union of the north was particularly frustrated by their inabi lity to defeat the confederates. It was during the third year of the conflict, that president Lincoln offered his emancipation proclamation, thus freeing all the slaves. This proclamation opened the door for abolitionists and equal rights groups of the North who had been pushing for arming freed Blacks to fight on the union side. Massachusetts Governor, John A. Andrews, became the first to call for African Americans to assemble as an actual fighting unit. Over 1000 men enlisted in the 54th Massachusetts Regiment. They came from mostly surrounding states, from runaway slaves and a few native Massachusetts blacks, whether they were a free or a runaway slave. With such a never been tried endeavor, it was a total work
  • 48. My Vacation At The Picnic Table *beep**beep* I sat up real quick and rubbed my eyes. I was so excited for today! My family and I are going to visit a nearby lake for the weekend, and I can t wait! I ran down the stairs and ate breakfast with my family, except my brother Marco, he must be still asleep. Half way through breakfast my lazy brother decided to wake up from the dead. When we finished eating, we all started packing for the weekend. When we all were ready to hit the road, we climbed in the RV, then we were on our way. We arrived at the lake thirty minutes later and I was itching to swim already. I climbed out the RV and helped set up everything. I asked my parents if I could go swim already, but they told me not right now, but tomorrow I can. I sat at the... We finished up our food, scrapped our plates and set them in the RV. We got ready for bed, and all climbed into the RV. I was sitting there for a good fifteen minutes, thinking about how excited I am about being able to finally swim tomorrow. During my thinking time, I dozed off to a peaceful darkness. I woke up to birds chirping, which is quite odd for me, because I don t really hear them were I live. I sat up out of bed, and stretched. I walked outside seeing my parents drinking there morning coffee, and chatting away. I walked back into the RV and made me my coffee to get me started for the day. I heard snoring, the first thing I thought was my lazy brother. I grabbed my swim wear and changed into them. I walked back out, and asked my parents if I could go swim. They told me yes, and to be careful. I darted off down the hill to the swimming area. I slipped off my flip flops and ran straight into the water. I was enjoying the water while I floated on my back. I decided I should try to swim all the way to the pole. I was going at a slow pace when I felt something slither by my foot. I jerked my foot back when I felt

  • 50. Analysis Of Henry David Thoreau s Resistance To Civil... Henry David Thoreau in his article titled Resistance to Civil Government, or Civil Disobedience stipulates that men serve the government in three different forms namely with their bodies, their minds, and with their consciences (Thoreau pg. 3). The group that serves with their bodies is the law enforcement officers, the military, national guards and others. According to Thoreau these men behave like machines and do not consider the morality or the impact of their actions on people. They sacrifice their bodies to protect or enforce the state law or power. Thoreau claimed that they put themselves on a level with wood and earth and stones; and wooden men can perhaps be manufactured that will serve the purpose as well (Thoreau pg....
