of where fats and oils are heated with the presence of a strong base usually sodium hydroxide or

waxy and soft material of the soap. Soap is one of the greatest products to be ever invented by
humans. It has a great deal of multi purposes such has getting objects clean or even killing
bacteria. Just like any other inventions, soap has its flaws. One of the main flaws would be that it
has a tendency to form precipitates in hard water. Washing with soap in hard water leads to
reacting with chemicals to form sum, which forces to throw out the soap since you cannot clean

Critical Issue 16 is, will school improvement efforts alone narrow the racial/ethnic achievement
gap. Katie Haycock believes in adequate funding and that high standards will improve academic

One of the points that is stated in our book is, student expectations must be raised. When a student
is fighting one of those barriers that McKinstry stated, it will be more difficult on those students to

Abstract
Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNSs) and Nurse Practitioners (NPs) are both considered advanced
practice nurses (APNs) in Canada (Donald et al., 2010). Although these roles have existed in
Canada for decades (Canadian Nurses Association, 2008), confusion still remains about the titles
and exact roles that these professionals play (Donald et al., 2010). This paper will use the
Saskatchewan Nursing Advanced Practice model as a framework to highlight the similarities and
differences between both types of advanced practice nurse. The scope of practice, registration,
education, practice settings, and effectiveness of CNSs and NPs will be examined. Although their
roles overlap, CNSs and NPs have both been shown to be important members of the health care
team (DiCenso Bryant Lukosius, 2010). Research has shown that adding CNSs and NPs to our
health care system can increase patient satisfaction, decrease wait times, and decrease readmissions
(DiCenso Bryant Lukosius, 2010). Increased public and health care professional awareness is
needed to have these roles fully incorporated into our current health care system (DiCenso Bryant
Lukosius, 2010).

absence of light, is prevalent. Hawthorne uses light to show society and what it favors, while he
uses darkness and shadows to demonstrate what society does not like. The Puritans, a religious
group in the 16th and 17th centuries in America, sought to purify the church and its believers from
the traditional, Catholic ideals. They valued community over individualism and shunned all sinners.
Hester Prynne, the main protagonist, commits adultery against her husband with one of the town s
