Harry Hopkins was the savior of art culture during the Great Depression, as a matter
of fact, Artists wasn t originally included in the New Deal development. President
Franklyn Roosevelt was not considering them as people who worked for a living,
strangely enough, he placed Hopkins in charge of the program. He believed the
artists had to generate earnings for their selves as well. The money they will spend in
the economy will help create jobs. The government treated the artist like employees
giving them paintings quotas. Federal Government wasn t governing the type of
painting being made by the artist. Majority of the artists expresses a political
undertone in their paintings. The United Statesis a melting pot of nationalities, all

The sky is the color of cold stones as I cautiously make my way down the trunk of
dying oak. The few remaining leaves of the tree rustle as a light autumn morning
breeze passes through them. One of them is blown free, making a soft snapping
sound as it breaks away from its anchored brothers and begins to fall to the ground
below. It twists and turns as it goes and I watch it in momentary curiosity. I have
seen this often before. It is still mostly green, only slightly browning at the edges. It
makes a show of falling, as though it knows it has an audience. It spins and dances,
carried across an unseen stage by the breeze. The breeze fades and dies and the leaf
follows shooting down quickly towards the earth like a predatory birding diving...
I pause briefly between sprints to listen for sounds of predators, or simply to hear
what the birds are singing about today. I twitch my nose and catch the scent of
pecans, acorns, and other forms of nut within the area. They are my usual food
source and are very scarce now that it is so close to winter. I must act quickly or
some rival animal will snatch them away. I take off as fast as light in the direction
of a particularly strong scent. My heart pounds in my chest so fast that it s almost
not beating at all. I can smell and hear my rivals as they race towards the scent as
well. I am quite certain there will be a fight on arrival. I prepare myself to win this
race and the fight that may follow. Yet, when I cross the span of the front yard of
an old abandoned house I am attacked. I cry out in fear and try to break free as sharp
fangs sink into the delicate flesh of my bushy tail. I scratch my paws over the
ground, ripping out small bits of dying grass and pebbles. I hear a guttural rumbling

Analysis Of The Documentary Pirates, Galleons, And...
When watching Pirates, Galleons, and Treasure: Globe Trekker , one certainly does
learn something about pirates and their history. However, that does not mean the
documentary is particularly useful. In fact, the documentary while mostly accurate
still has some small discrepancies and does not provide enough detail for it to be
helpful to those actually studying pirates. The documentary is a fun resource for
those who want basic facts, but leaves some facts to assumptions and seems to gloss
over some information. It tends to focuses on myths and interesting stories that may
have been true rather than the truth. More attention is also put on cities rather pirates
and when it does focus on the pirates, it is not done well. It tends to... Show more
Pirates, Galleons and Treasure also shows pirate stories being romanticised when they
speak about the relationship of Anne Bonny and Calico Jack.
Within the documentary, Anne Bonny and Calico Jack are shown to be lovers
and while that may be true it is still not confirmed. The documentary presents this
idea as a fact and even goes on to talk about Bonny being the mother of his child,
leaving out the fact that it is also speculated that Bonny had slept with her jailors
so it is not confirmed that it is his child (Konstam, 2011, p.166). Bonny s father is
said to have had a possible role in her escape (Konstam, 2011, p.185), instead of the
claim that no one knows at all where she could have gone in the documentary. Also
in the video, Calico Jack is said to be responsible for designing the skull and cross
bone flag (Pirates, Galleons and Treasure, 2007), when the flag had been first been
spotted in 1700 by a pirate named Wyn way before Calico Jack (The Golden Age,
2016) and the only pirate to be known to fly a true skull and cross bone flag is
Edward England (Konstam, 2011, p.193). Essentially, Pirates, Galleons and Treasures
does not seem to show accurate or unbiased information, or at least towards the
