Pros And Cons Of The Amazonbasics Standup Patio Heater Cover
The AmazonBasics Standup Patio Heater Cover fits perfectly around the unusual shape of the heater.
Instead of using a shapeless tarp that can turn into a sail in high winds, this heater cover conforms to
the shape of the heater. The cover will keep the heater from being ruined by rain and even snow.
Pros of the AmazonBasics Standup Patio Heater Cover
Waterproof, woven polyester
Click straps
Interlocking seams
Fits standard patio heaters
Tailored fit
Cons of the Patio Heater Cover
Owners might need a stool or small ladder to reach the top
First Impressions
The AmazonBasics Standup Patio Heater comes in an easy to open package. When water and mud
splashes up onto the cover from the ground, it s not going to be as noticeable and glaring when the
material is the same color. We love that the cover has two tones to ensure that it doesn t look messy
and dirty out on the patio.
The cover slips over the bottom of the heater. It shimmies up to the top of the heater quite easily. The
shape of the heater is unusual, so many covers won t fit because they re too small to close around the
wide cone at the top of the heater. This tailor fit assures you the most protection for your outdoor
heater.
Waterproof Materials
The cover is made from 100 percent woven polyester. The underside of the fabric is waterproof to
keep water from seeping into the cover and wetting the heater. Most heaters are propane, so they don t
have to worry about electronics. There are still bits like the ignition that should be wet or they ll
corrode. The waterproof cover will prevent water from sitting on the frame of the heater. Some heaters
have powder coated steel that won t corrode easily, but it s best not to take a chance. Leaving the
heater outdoors leaves it open to rain and dampness, but also dirt and debris flying into the heater s
vents.
Interlocking Seams
The wind can act like a battering ram when it s bombarding fabric over time. Any material that is
outside for a few months in the rain and wind can become tattered and shredded. That won t happen
with this cover. The interlocking seams strengthen the material to avoid split seams and tattered fabric.
Tailored Fit
The cover is tailored to fit a certain style of heater. One

David And Noah Research Paper
Then the LORD said to Moses, Write down these words, for in accordance with these words I have
made a covenant with you and with Israel. (Exodus 34:27). From the very beginning, covenants have
been the promises that eternally bond relationships. Biblical characters have demonstrated to us the
journey to becoming a person of covenant, as well as the hardships that come with it. Their developing
relationships with God still exhibit modern day covenants we are also cultivating with the Lord. After
examining David and Noah s covenants with God, I am realizing that my covenant relationship with
the Lord is like theirs in the sense that I often inconsiderately stray from God s path, but progressively
become more on track as God further motivates me. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Starting off, King David tells his servant, Peter, that he wants to build a temple for God. He states,
Here I am, living in a house of cedar, while the ark of God remains in a tent. (2 Sam 7:1). It is evident
that David has good intentions, but this is not the path that God intended! God knows David s
purposes, and tells Nathan the prophet, I have not dwelt in a house from the day I brought the
Israelites up out of Egypt to this day... did I ever say to any of their rulers whom I commanded to
shepherd my people Israel, Why have you not built me a house of cedar? (2 Samuel 7:6 7). It is very
clear that David is not exactly where God wanted him to be. David thinks he is helping God by
building him a temple, but in reality, it is offending the Lord. God is the real king, not David, and it is
evident that the Lord want to be universal, not stationary in a temple. Although He has good aims,
David is not going in God s direction. This story is relatable, as I often do not pay attention to the
purposes God has for me, instead I focus on the ones I have for him. Similar to David, I sometimes
forget that the Lord desires to provide me with strength, and I cannot attempt to be inferior to Him.

Essay On The Death Of The American
That night, Andre stayed with a Loyalist attorney named Joshua Smith. While not permitted to wear
civilian attire, he got clothes and road horseback with Smith towards Tarrytown, New York near
British lines. Smith left Andre towards the end of the trip and when Andre was close to his destination
three men stopped him. These men questioned Andre and instead of showing his pass that he was John
Anderson, Andre trusted the men and revealed who he really was. The men, who Andre thought were
Loyalists were part of the American Army, searched Andre and found the information given to him by
Arnold in his shoes. He was captured and taken to the American commanding officer who informed
General Washington and Arnold of the news. Arnold immediately ... Show more content on

It has been said that Arnold should have been the captured and killed instead of Andre. Major Andre
made multiple impacts on the US National Defense. While the mission he set out to complete failed,
Andre broke down the safety net the US thought they had. By gaining the trust of Arnold and setting
up the plan to take over West Point, Andre was the hole in what was set to be a perfect American plot.
If he did not get caught the outcome for the war would have been a different scene. The Americans
thought they had a fool proof plan when in reality they had one of the biggest traitors history has ever
seen in Benedict Arnold. For Andre to get Peggy on board to help with getting Arnold on board took
time and patience. The plan would have worked fully if the ship, Vulture, would not have been moved
downstream after Andre got the information from Arnold. This whole incident made the Americans
realize that there could be more spies among them, and therefore Washington had Andre executed, to
set an example for future spies. The second impact on US National Defense deals with the
classification system that we use in the Army and surrounding agencies today. Information like the
plans and layouts for a military installation would be classified secret or top secret today.
Unfortunately, in the 1700s, there was no system of classifying documents. This could have been a
deterrent in an incident like

Bobo Dickenson Biography
Swedish pianist Bobo Stenson s musical aesthetics is all elegance and graciousness. He earned a
sterling reputation while accompanying the brilliant saxophonist Charles Lloyd, who detected the
perfect touch in his pianism to better serve his musical intents. Besides the latter, the saxophonist Jan
Garbarek and the trumpeter Tomasz Stanko also benefited with his lush chords and beautiful textures
to enrich their albums. However, Stenson didn t limit his ideas to be played exclusively as a sideman,
leading his own classic piano trio, which went through several changes along the way. Bassist Anders
Jormin replaced Arild Andersen in 1993, right after the trio s debut, and since 2008, Jon Fält earned
the drummer s chair, replacing Paul Motian, who had stopped by in 2005, also replacing the original
member Jon Christensen. Following a hiatus of six years, Stenson and his associates re emerge with
Contra La Indecision, another poetic work comprising ravishing originals (one by the bandleader, five
by Jormin, and one by the collective) and world class interpretations of pieces by Erik Satie, Bela
Bartok, Silvio Rodriguez, and Frederic Mompou. Just like it happened on Cantando (ECM, 2008),

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Treatment For Posttraumatic...
Cognitive behavioral therapy treatment for posttraumatic stress disorder The Diagnostic and Statistical
Manual of Mental Disorders describes posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) as an acute stress disorder
(2013). Individuals that experience this disorder are exposed to or have had an experience of near
death or bodily harm (American Psychiatric Association. 2013). Evidence based therapy that has
shown positive outcomes in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) which is based on changing behavior.
The use of client centered therapy can also be beneficial with this type of client if applied in addition
to CBT. Joseph stated that a client centered approach to PTSD could result in Post traumatic growth
(2004). Post traumatic growth does not try to bring the client back to the original state before the
trauma but bring the client beyond their previous level of functioning (Joseph, 2004). When a person
experiences a trauma, they can have a myriad of emotions, it is the therapist responsibility to help the
client make better sense of the issue and continue functioning in a normal manner. Not all traumas are
alike and not all clients can be treated equally. The most significant aspect of treatment in helping this
type of client is the approach the therapist takes which should include the temperament of the client
and the goals the client seeks. Included here is an examination of a fictitious client that has
experienced a trauma and the therapist care plan. The therapist

Oppression In The Handmaids Tale
The handmaid s tale uses the oppression of women to bring out flaws in societies that undervalue
women. The Handmaids tale tells the story of a captured woman, forced to be a handmade for
surrogate births. Her position is looked down upon by the society she is striving to create. Without the
surrogate mothers, Gilead s society would deplete. The only sex allowed is marital sex and in this
setting, most of the men have gone sterile. The tale depicts the daily life and hardship of the
handmaids and women s lives, while showing their importance to society. The story begins with the
main character describing her surroundings; she s in a gym sleeping on a cot. There are other women
around her and outside there s what used to be a football field. ... Show more content on

There are two areas of the memoir I am looking at for my research paper. Specifically, Beah talks
about the Lieutenant and how he is this controlling figure that is irresponsible but yet he tricks Beah
into looking up to him and forces Beah to rely on him for support. The two do have a bond that is true,
as he eventually hands Beah over to UNICEF for him to have a better chance at making a life.
However, the Lieutenant has made these boys into animals and adjustment to the real world is harsh

Why One Should Invest Investing
Introduction to why one should invest in hoverboards
Investing in my design for a hoverboard will be a stepping stone for the evolution of transportation as
my method of levitation is simple and practical in comparison to others such as the use of super
conductors which is essentially impractical as it has more constraints. Emissions from vehicles cause
pollution and if the world will lean more towards magnetic levitation for vehicles, we can reduce our
carbon footprint and we can utilize our energy efficiently as there will be no friction (besides drag) but
less energy will be wasted on overcoming friction. Routes will use ferrous metals such as copper or
Aluminium which will be easier to construct and maintain. Fuel costs will go down ... Show more

Gravity would take effect and pull the magnet down. If the magnet experiences a force downwards
then the electrostatic force will increase and then it will push the magnet up. Essentially proved that
that any system of particles that in which the inverse square law [1] was involved with the forces then
they system could not remain in equilibrium and examples of this square law is gravity and even
magnetism. Lenz law [2] comes into play as my hoverboard essentially will be over a conductive
surface (Copper or Aluminium). Lenz law [3] states A electric current, induced by a source such as a
changing magnetic field, always creates a counterforce opposing the force inducing it . A better
understanding the idea of a magnet going through a copper tube can be used because as the magnet
falls down this tube, a current is induced which flows in the direction that opposes the change in
magnetic flux and hence the current will flow in the direction to cause a like pole to form which will
repel the falling magnet and so the magnet falls slower relative to the speed it normally would and as
it exits the copper tube the current will oppose the change in magnetic flux and form a pole which will
speed up the falling magnet [3]. The reason I went into such detail is my main principle on my designs
workings. Regarding mentioning this my design does have constraints as it can only be used over
conductive materials and for it to levitate it must induce

Capitalism During The Great Depression
For example, when a good is scarce, the prices goes up, so consumers try to avoid buying and
therefore conserving the resource. Then, the suppliers want to find more of the source as to get a better
profit. The reasons behind their actions are selfish, yet they benefit all of society. Smith identified that
the pursuit of profit and the power of self interest would increase motivation and result in more
advances in technology. His model of capitalism was on the basis of freedom and selfishness as a
motivator for society. It was also on the basis that the economy would go through recessions and
expansions but fix itself. Recessions are periods in the economy in which unemployment goes up,
while profits and spending goes down; a slowdown of the economy. An expansion is essentially the
exact opposite. The classical model of economics states that the economy will continue to go through
these fluctuations over time and will fix itself with no help, thus not needing a government to give
influence. Eventually, however, The Great Depression happened, and there was no end in sight of the
dramatic recession. The Great Depression was a widespread crash of the market that happened in 1929
and lasted well into the 1930 s. For a long time, no one knew why it had happened or when it would
be over. Often considered capitalism s savior, John Maynard Keynes noticed the lengthy depression
and realized that something was causing it to be stuck. He thought that the economy was not going to

Self-tranquility and Love in the Book A Perfect Day for...
The word, bananafish may seem like one of the many imaginary words of a child, but this was
actually thought up by a character named Seymour Glass; a man with the mind of a non adolescent,
and the body of a grown person. Married and in love, Seymour goes off to fight in World War II. Upon
his return, he suffered from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Therefore mentally setting him back for
the rest of his life. For example, through the course of the story, a reader may notice how he tends to
block off most of the people who care about him. J.D. Salinger lived with a similar mindset to
Seymour; he blocked off, not only his loved ones, but society overall. At the time of writing, A Perfect
Day for Bananafish, he had an interest in Zen Buddhism. In Zen Buddhism, self tranquility is a very
strong factor to practicing the religion. However, they both may be private, but Seymour Glass has the
mindset of a child, due to the war trauma. Sybil, a child Seymour meets on the beach, is a symbol for
Seymour s mind. His childlike mindset causes him trouble adjusting to the reality of society. The cruel
reality for Seymour is the greed the people in his life have. Therefore the term Banana Fever is a
reference to the greed in society. Just like the Bananafish are greedy for bananas, humans are greedy
as well. So, while everyone is infected with Banana fever. Seymour turns to a serious solution. With
this being said, In the story, A Perfect Day for Bananafish JD Salinger uses symbolism

The Transcendentalist Value Of Education
We spend about seven hours at school every day for five days every week for nine months out of the
year. It becomes our second home, and it is supposed to teach us they ways of the world and how to
survive in it. However, just like everything valuable, it comes at a price, which often is in the form of
a student s health, sanity, and originality. Given that Thoreau, Emerson, and other transcendentalists
value individualism and freedom of thought as essential aspects of a human being s life, they would
despise the education system of today, as it forces students to conform and restrain their minds in
order to be successful.
Standardized tests violate the transcendentalist principles of individuality and dismantling rule of the
majority by forcing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Most schools have a set list of courses with a strict curriculum to follow throughout the year, allowing
students to choose their courses, but within the limitations of what the school offers and requires. This
stifles a student s creativity and his or her ability to huckleberry, or scrambl[e] for ideas the way we
hunt for huckleberries in the woods, as described in Thoreau s Night in Jail by Jerome Lawrence and
Robert E. Lee (Lawrence and Lee 18). Thoreau s ideal learning method is much more free and natural
than that of today. He would be opposed to the AP system and lecture based classes that are strictly
based on memorization. Thoreau would prefer alternative techniques such as Socratic Dialogues or
Harkness Discussions that allow students to learn from themselves and each other through discussion.
Emerson agrees with Thoreau on this, proclaiming that [t]he intellect is vagabond, and the universal
system of education fosters restlessness (Emerson 25). The use of the vagabond metaphor and the
word restless imply that Emerson believes that students are much more intelligent than schools give
them credit for. Schools undervalue students by forcing them into classes that fail to interest them
instead of letting them take the more stimulating path of self discovery, which would benefit them
more over the course of a

2017). So, there was not any chance to calculate the impact of temporal and spatial variations in
previous methods.
In order to improve the AAT method, it needs to compare the reconstruction of temperature and wind
velocity of RBF methods with synthetic data to quantify the amount of error. The deviation of ray path
will be investigated, from nominal straight line caused by variation in sound speed. For the first step,
it is required to employ improved ray path geometry calculations. Then, arrival time correction of the
ray will be considered. After that, the best suited method will be recommended, in which, the result
has a proper approximation to the real condition.
4.3 Task 3: Simulation of UAV AAT using LES Data
NCAR provided a special dataset of realistic atmosphere condition derived from Large Eddy
simulation. These LES Data help us to compare the tomography reconstructed result with realistic
condition data. The LES contains atmosphere snapshots data in 5Km × 2Km × 2Km. In situ
measurements in tomography process have not been used (Finn and Rogers 2015). The UAV based
acoustic atmospheric tomography with RBF method will be calculated the atmosphere attributes
which approximate to the resolution of LES (Kevin, Rice et al. 2015).

What Is The Traditional Representation Of Women In...
Resident Evil: Retribution is a 2012 science fiction, action and horror film written and directed by
Paul W. S. Anderson. It is based on the Capcom survival horror video game series Resident Evil.
10This film conveys women are like that of a stereotype of men heroic and dominant. There are a
number of countless fight scenes, which suggest the control and supremacy of females. In the corridor
fight, Alice uses a long chain to safeguard herself and achieves victory in the fight. A high angle shot

For example, Judith dies in the film and a number of other female characters are male controlled.
However, this was because the movie was made in the late 1970 s. Therefore, traditional stereotypes
have been used. Moreover, the movie Resident Evil Retribution was made in 2012 so the changes in
society have reflected in the plot of the film showing women can be of dominance. For example, Alice
shows her characteristic as strong (although this was rare). It was highly recognised for subverting the
stereotype which had appealed to a high number of audiences as stated earlier.
Above all, the females are represented as sex objects in Halloween. Most people think that it is
something virtuous and some people think it as immoral. However, I believe female representation as
sex objects is wrong as it portrays them as weak and they should not be perceived rather they should
be equal to men. Nonetheless, being depicted as a sex object should be up to the films whether they
are happy as being labeled as that.
Both films are indicating diverse representation of horror films. The film Halloween uses traditional
stereotype because it was set in early 1978. Therefore, it was different to what we expect in the movie
Resident Evil Retribution as it was set in 2012. This is because the film was modern and there were

Personification In Society
You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is and ocean, if a few drops are dirty, the ocean does

reading The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton and The World is Not a Pleasant Place to be by Nikki Giovanni

Gerburt Des Monicakinds Poem Analysis
Grammar can be defined as a linguistic system that exists in the mind of a speaker of a language, a
written description of a language, and an abstract notation of an ideal set of rules (of correct or proper
grammar) which can be encoded in a handbook (Studies in English Grammar Handbook, pg.7).
Monica Ferrell s, Of the Irresoubleness of Diamonds, Harmless, As Recalled by a Fairy Tale, Gerburt
des Monicakinds, and Beautiful Funeral each employ four different grammatical issues one of them
being the known new contract. By incorporating these grammatical issues into her work, Ferrell
intends to develop a clear and sharp image to ignite the imagination of her readers. The poems Of the
Irresoubleness of Diamonds, Harmless, As Recalled by a Fairy Tale, Gerburt des Monicakinds and
Beautiful Funeral were written by poet and novelist Monica Ferrell. Monica Ferrell was born in New
Dehli. She earned her BA from Harvard University and MFA from Columbia University (Poetry
Foundation). Ferrell discusses the role of uncertainty in her poems. She states, I m trying to let
something that wants to come into being do so poetry as uncovering, rather than invention or rhetoric,
and a form of devotion and service . (Poetry Foundation). By using several grammar techniques
Ferrell paints a bright image for her readers to ponder upon. Ferrell is an atypical poem and uses a
variety of forms to convey her simple and lyrical tone throughout them. One of the reasons that

Symbolism and the Theme of Incest in quot; The Fall of the...
Symbolism and incest are both very apparent themes throughout the story of The Fall of the House of
Usher , by Edgar Allan Poe, and helps us to better understand the events that occur. Poe uses his
symbolism to reveal character traits, foreshadow future events and helps his reader to understand the
events that occur throughout the story. Throughout the story we realize that the relationship between
brother and sister is not a normal sibling bond. We also see that the siblings themselves are not normal
in all the aspects of a human being. Incest is an issue throughout the story and Poe constantly used
symbolism in the story to relate back to incest. Poe uses symbolism to expose character traits

As a logical consequence, Postmes and Brunsting (2002) reasoned that the Internet is changing society
because people s cognitive processes, triggered by access to information and communication, replace
the strong social ties that traditionally underpin committed activism. In simpler words, in the past,
humanity used the herd instinct as the main driving force behind committed forms of activism. Thanks
to the Internet, we climb another step or three on the evolutionary ladder, and simply do away with the
herd instinct and replace it with reason. The argument, if put this way, does not sound particularly
strong. What can be taken away is that social media is still evolving, that social media changes the
way we or most of us communicate, that social media is used in social and political activism, and that
the Internet increases quantitative if not qualitative access to information.
The 2011 uprising in Egypt was in many ways a traditional brick and mortar revolution, but with a
cyber twist to it: based on their statistical analysis of a large body of tweets related to the 2011
uprising in Egypt, Starbird and Palen (2012) observed that activists used Twitter as an important tool
to share ideas and information with like minded people, because Twitter allows a high number of
activists interact using its retweet and other mechanisms. In this case, Twitter was used among
participants and supporters of a traditional mass movement to bypass government controlled

Crisis Intervention
There are several definitions of individual crisis which all includes some kind of altering event or
events. Depending on that event, a person can react in several different manners. Crisis also has serval
characteristics which aid in the definition of crisis. Along with several definitions and characteristics
there are theories for crisis and crisis intervention. Researchers created crisis and crisis intervention
theories to exam components of the behavioral or emotional response to crisis and the possible
prevention.

Most frontline workers are volunteers that are trained and provide round the clock services through
several agencies like the Red Cross and mobile crisis. Even though volunteers are available around the
clock, there is a gap providing care for those that are mentally ill. A great number of the mentally ill
and challenged people find a home incarcerated because of the lack of trained professionals. Those
that suffer from mental illness do not receive proper care while incarcerated. This is only one example
of the gap in services and the need to increase crisis interventions. Before there were crisis and crisis
intervention there were disasters that leveled cities and destroyed lives. According to the research
before the 1900 s there were no prevention or treatment to those affected by any disasters. In the past

Examples Of Constructive Dividends
Constructive dividends are a common occurrence in most small companies since they often conduct
their business in an informal way. They can attract penalties from IRS for both the company and the
shareholders involved. Situations that result in constructive dividends are described in the essay.
Examples of constructive dividends and how to minimize them in a corporation are also highlighted.
Concept of Constructive Dividends
The term constructive dividend is used to describe a disbursement made by companies that benefit a
shareholder though the instalment is not carried out specifically to that shareholder and regardless of
the possibility that no official dividend has been announced (Ault Arnold, 2010). These types of
dividends take place in organisations that are closely held and transactions between shareholders, and
the company is often informal. There are situations when a shareholder is considered to have been
given constructive dividends. The first one is when the shareholder gets a pay, a financial gain or a
benefit. Such a dividend is taxed to the shareholder depending on the degree of the existing as well as
accumulated earnings or the company s profits and benefits. The second one is when the organization

The At San Francesco Or Collegio La Salle
If you are from Gejeret then you might just as well remember where Gejretians found refuge in 1975.
I was one of those who took refuge at San Francesco or Collegio La Salle, which was administered by
the Kerenite Fratelli, Fr. Michael, Fr. Kahsay, and Fr. Demsas. Later on, I heard Fr. Demsas joined the
struggle but I ve no information if he made it to Independence Day. Also, rumor had it that afterwards,
Fr. Misghina quit the La Salle seminary, got married and left for Sweden. And there is more of such
news.
The year 1975 ushered a turbulent and terrible times for Asmara residents who hitherto escaped the
ugliness of the raging terror that was being carried out by the Derg. Most people from Gejeret stayed
at home during daytime, and at night moved to La Salle to spend the night. Usually in the late
afternoon, most of the people packed necessary supplies, took along mattress and blankets, and
bagged other items, and headed to La Salle to spend the night. After some time, that became the daily
routine, people were convinced it was the only way to evade falling victim and face the unimaginable
cruelty and looting in the hands of the Derg security forces, the Tor Serawti who became extremely
active during the night.
Two safe places became safe havens for the residents of Gejeret: San Francesco and La Salle. They
offered relative security and peaceful night. Meanwhile, many residents of Asmara trekked to the
countryside around Asmara where they found refuge. The rural areas

Diction In The Raven
In the classic poem, The Raven , Edgar Allan Poe explores the effects of isolation and grief. The
Raven follows a man who laments his lost love, Lenore. When a raven enters his chamber, and
repeatedly says nevermore, the narrator s inner struggle with his state of mind is revealed. Through the
use of imagery and diction in stanza five, Poe expresses the narrator s fear and sorrow after losing his
loved one. Poe s utilizes imagery to portray the narrator s struggle to cope with the loss of Lenore. For
instance, when the narrator opens the door to see who is knocking, he recounts, Deep into that
darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing (Poe 25). Poe s use of imagery reveals the
speaker s trepidation as fear is instilled ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Moreover, Poe establishes sorrow when the narrator conveys, [...] the only word there spoken was the
whispered word, Lenore? /This I whispered, and an echo murmured back the word, Lenore! (Poe 28
29). Lenore is repeated two times to emphasize her importance to the narrator. The narrator thinks
about the supernatural influence, however, all he hears is an echo. Although he sees no one at his door,
he calls out for Lenore, in hopes she will respond to him. After his call for Lenore, nothing more is
said by either him or the mysterious echo. RELATE TO THESIS Poe uses imagery and diction to
portray the narrator s state of mind. Poe s descriptive language demonstrates the narrator s sorrowful
life without Lenore, and Poe s choice of words reveal his fear towards the sinister raven. For the
sorrowful and fearful narrator, the whole world seems to be bleak and terrifying. Everything, even
darkness, reminds him of his lost love,

Realism and Romanticism within The Red Badge of Courage
Realism and Romanticism Within The Red Badge of Courage
The Red Badge of Courage, written by Stephan Crane in 1895 gives a detailed, yet, fictional account
of Henry Fleming, a farm boy who joins the Union Army in the American Civil War. Before Henry is
battle tested, he ponders his courage and questions whether he will be able to fight the urge to flee
from battle. Henry does indeed end up deserting his comrades however he ultimately overcomes his
guilt and becomes one of the best fighters in his regiment. In order to depict a realistic and relatable
war scene, Crane includes Henry s realistic thought process and emotion in his struggles to maintain
courage. The narrative simply revealed war in a manner that was divergent to all prior forms of
literature in the 19th century. Previous novels predominately entailed the glorious and romantic
aspects of war rather than the tedious, gritty, and gruesome details of close combat. Instead, Crane
broke the barriers of literary norms in war related literature; the novel depicted a pragmatic experience
of combat from the eyes of an inexperienced and frightened youth. In the Red Badge of Courage,
Stephan Crane primarily uses religious and gory imagery as well as symbolism to contrast the
romantic conceptions of war versus the reality of experiencing battle.
One of the primary methods used to illustrate realism throughout The Red Badge of Courage would be
imagery. The entire book is essentially an outpouring of impressions and

Humanism In Renaissance
The late Middle Ages were a time of creative fragmentation and new synthesis. The Renaissance,
which take place between 1300 and 1700, was a time for education and experimentation. The fifteenth
century saw an unprecedented demand for quality education and art and scholarly renaissance. Italian
and northern humanists recovered classical knowledge and languages that set education reforms and
cultural changes in motion that spread throughout Europe in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries.
Humanism is defined differently depending on who you are asking. Some see the Renaissance as an
educational movement driven by a philosophy that stressed the dignity of humankind, individualism,
and secular values. Others say, humanists were actually the champions of Catholic Christianity,
opposing the pagan teaching of ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle and the Scholasticism that poured
out of his writings. But the most accurate definition is, humanism was a neutral form of empirical
minded historical scholarship adopted to promote political liberty and a sense of civic responsibility.
In simpler terms, it is the belief that all people have the ability to contribute to the betterment of
society.
Humanism influenced literature and poetry to flourish! The first humanists were orators and poets
who wrote original literature in both classical and vernacular languages. Humanism also created jobs!
Humanists were given the opportunity to teach rhetoric in the universities, and when they were

Listeria Monocytogene Essay
Prior to the cantaloupe outbreak of Listeria monocytogenes, there were no previous incidents with
Jensen Farms foods. On September 8th, the CDPHE; and on September 9th, 2011, the FDA collected
and tested samples from grocery stores where the ill people reported buying cantaloupe, after the first
incident on September 2nd (CDC 2012b). The FDA found that 9 of 10 cantaloupes tested positive for
L. monocytogenes (FDA 2012). Then on the 10th of September, the CDPHE and the FDA visited
Jensen Farms to test the production facility (CDC 2012b). 39 samples were taken from various points
across the production line including conveyer belts and packing sheds, and 13 tested positive (FDA

From September 24th to October 6th, grocery stores from across the United States, including New
York and Kansas remove mixed cut fruit containers from shelves (CDC 2012b). When the outbreak
was deemed over, the CDC (2012b) advises consumers to eat melon right away or refrigerate it; once
it is cut, melon should stay in the refrigerator no longer than 7 days; and to discard melon that has
been left at room temperature for longer than 4 hours. The FDA (2012) then reminds people that since
L. monocytogenes can grow at 4°C, keeping foods in the refrigerator for extended periods of time can
allow for it to grow. It is advised that the consumer wash their hands before and after handling food
for at least 20 seconds with warm water and soap, to clean up spills in the refrigerator immediately,
and to wash the inside of the refrigerator, cutting boards, and countertops regularly with hot water and
one tablespoon of chlorine bleach, and then wiped down with a dry and clean towel or cloth (FDA
2012). A lesson to be taken away from this outbreak is that an outbreak can happen on any farm, and

Marx s The Capitalist System
Marx believed that the capitalist system causes the world s wealth to be concentrated in the hands of
the greedy few, inflicting an even bigger gap between the rich and the working class. Needless to say
there is always going to be never ending tensions between these two classes, especially since our
society has been split between the 99% of the working class and the 1% of the privileged people
getting richer every single day. When there are no principles of order and no boundaries of rules, the
free market is able to produce more than what the capitalist can sell. However, when too much of one
product is made, the value and the demand of the product decreases, showing red flags of what Marx s
calls a period of overproduction. It concludes that the supply is greater than the demand, creating a
cost instead of a profit for the capitalist since that have to sell what they overproduced. Regardless of
this, it is important to know that overproduction isn t seen as a problem for the rest world unless they
are the owners of the means of production the capitalist class because it only matters in the concept of
profit. The reason behind it as described earlier is if too much was produced and the demand isn t as
high, profit would decrease due to the unbalance of the equation. It makes more sense in Marx s words
which he states, So long as the most urgent needs of a large part of society are not satisfied, or only
the most immediate needs are satisfied, there can of course be

  • 2. Pros And Cons Of The Amazonbasics Standup Patio Heater Cover The AmazonBasics Standup Patio Heater Cover fits perfectly around the unusual shape of the heater. Instead of using a shapeless tarp that can turn into a sail in high winds, this heater cover conforms to the shape of the heater. The cover will keep the heater from being ruined by rain and even snow. Pros of the AmazonBasics Standup Patio Heater Cover Waterproof, woven polyester Click straps Interlocking seams Fits standard patio heaters Tailored fit Cons of the Patio Heater Cover Owners might need a stool or small ladder to reach the top First Impressions The AmazonBasics Standup Patio Heater comes in an easy to open package. When water and mud splashes up onto the cover from the ground, it s not going to be as noticeable and glaring when the material is the same color. We love that the cover has two tones to ensure that it doesn t look messy and dirty out on the patio. The cover slips over the bottom of the heater. It shimmies up to the top of the heater quite easily. The shape of the heater is unusual, so many covers won t fit because they re too small to close around the wide cone at the top of the heater. This tailor fit assures you the most protection for your outdoor heater. Waterproof Materials The cover is made from 100 percent woven polyester. The underside of the fabric is waterproof to keep water from seeping into the cover and wetting the heater. Most heaters are propane, so they don t have to worry about electronics. There are still bits like the ignition that should be wet or they ll corrode. The waterproof cover will prevent water from sitting on the frame of the heater. Some heaters have powder coated steel that won t corrode easily, but it s best not to take a chance. Leaving the heater outdoors leaves it open to rain and dampness, but also dirt and debris flying into the heater s vents. Interlocking Seams

  • 4. David And Noah Research Paper Then the LORD said to Moses, Write down these words, for in accordance with these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel. (Exodus 34:27). From the very beginning, covenants have been the promises that eternally bond relationships. Biblical characters have demonstrated to us the journey to becoming a person of covenant, as well as the hardships that come with it. Their developing relationships with God still exhibit modern day covenants we are also cultivating with the Lord. After examining David and Noah s covenants with God, I am realizing that my covenant relationship with the Lord is like theirs in the sense that I often inconsiderately stray from God s path, but progressively become more on track as God further motivates me. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Starting off, King David tells his servant, Peter, that he wants to build a temple for God. He states, Here I am, living in a house of cedar, while the ark of God remains in a tent. (2 Sam 7:1). It is evident that David has good intentions, but this is not the path that God intended! God knows David s purposes, and tells Nathan the prophet, I have not dwelt in a house from the day I brought the Israelites up out of Egypt to this day... did I ever say to any of their rulers whom I commanded to shepherd my people Israel, Why have you not built me a house of cedar? (2 Samuel 7:6 7). It is very clear that David is not exactly where God wanted him to be. David thinks he is helping God by building him a temple, but in reality, it is offending the Lord. God is the real king, not David, and it is evident that the Lord want to be universal, not stationary in a temple. Although He has good aims, David is not going in God s direction. This story is relatable, as I often do not pay attention to the purposes God has for me, instead I focus on the ones I have for him. Similar to David, I sometimes forget that the Lord desires to provide me with strength, and I cannot attempt to be inferior to Him. When God has ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Essay On The Death Of The American That night, Andre stayed with a Loyalist attorney named Joshua Smith. While not permitted to wear civilian attire, he got clothes and road horseback with Smith towards Tarrytown, New York near British lines. Smith left Andre towards the end of the trip and when Andre was close to his destination three men stopped him. These men questioned Andre and instead of showing his pass that he was John Anderson, Andre trusted the men and revealed who he really was. The men, who Andre thought were Loyalists were part of the American Army, searched Andre and found the information given to him by Arnold in his shoes. He was captured and taken to the American commanding officer who informed General Washington and Arnold of the news. Arnold immediately ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It has been said that Arnold should have been the captured and killed instead of Andre. Major Andre made multiple impacts on the US National Defense. While the mission he set out to complete failed, Andre broke down the safety net the US thought they had. By gaining the trust of Arnold and setting up the plan to take over West Point, Andre was the hole in what was set to be a perfect American plot. If he did not get caught the outcome for the war would have been a different scene. The Americans thought they had a fool proof plan when in reality they had one of the biggest traitors history has ever seen in Benedict Arnold. For Andre to get Peggy on board to help with getting Arnold on board took time and patience. The plan would have worked fully if the ship, Vulture, would not have been moved downstream after Andre got the information from Arnold. This whole incident made the Americans realize that there could be more spies among them, and therefore Washington had Andre executed, to set an example for future spies. The second impact on US National Defense deals with the classification system that we use in the Army and surrounding agencies today. Information like the plans and layouts for a military installation would be classified secret or top secret today. Unfortunately, in the 1700s, there was no system of classifying documents. This could have been a deterrent in an incident like ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Bobo Dickenson Biography Swedish pianist Bobo Stenson s musical aesthetics is all elegance and graciousness. He earned a sterling reputation while accompanying the brilliant saxophonist Charles Lloyd, who detected the perfect touch in his pianism to better serve his musical intents. Besides the latter, the saxophonist Jan Garbarek and the trumpeter Tomasz Stanko also benefited with his lush chords and beautiful textures to enrich their albums. However, Stenson didn t limit his ideas to be played exclusively as a sideman, leading his own classic piano trio, which went through several changes along the way. Bassist Anders Jormin replaced Arild Andersen in 1993, right after the trio s debut, and since 2008, Jon Fält earned the drummer s chair, replacing Paul Motian, who had stopped by in 2005, also replacing the original member Jon Christensen. Following a hiatus of six years, Stenson and his associates re emerge with Contra La Indecision, another poetic work comprising ravishing originals (one by the bandleader, five by Jormin, and one by the collective) and world class interpretations of pieces by Erik Satie, Bela Bartok, Silvio Rodriguez, and Frederic Mompou. • 7. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Treatment For Posttraumatic... Cognitive behavioral therapy treatment for posttraumatic stress disorder The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders describes posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) as an acute stress disorder (2013). Individuals that experience this disorder are exposed to or have had an experience of near death or bodily harm (American Psychiatric Association. 2013). Evidence based therapy that has shown positive outcomes in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) which is based on changing behavior. The use of client centered therapy can also be beneficial with this type of client if applied in addition to CBT. Joseph stated that a client centered approach to PTSD could result in Post traumatic growth (2004). Post traumatic growth does not try to bring the client back to the original state before the trauma but bring the client beyond their previous level of functioning (Joseph, 2004). When a person experiences a trauma, they can have a myriad of emotions, it is the therapist responsibility to help the client make better sense of the issue and continue functioning in a normal manner. Not all traumas are alike and not all clients can be treated equally. The most significant aspect of treatment in helping this type of client is the approach the therapist takes which should include the temperament of the client and the goals the client seeks. Included here is an examination of a fictitious client that has experienced a trauma and the therapist care plan. The therapist ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Handmaids tale tells the story of a captured woman, forced to be a handmade for surrogate births. Her position is looked down upon by the society she is striving to create. Without the surrogate mothers, Gilead s society would deplete. The only sex allowed is marital sex and in this setting, most of the men have gone sterile. • 10. Why One Should Invest Investing Introduction to why one should invest in hoverboards Investing in my design for a hoverboard will be a stepping stone for the evolution of transportation as my method of levitation is simple and practical in comparison to others such as the use of super conductors which is essentially impractical as it has more constraints. Emissions from vehicles cause pollution and if the world will lean more towards magnetic levitation for vehicles, we can reduce our carbon footprint and we can utilize our energy efficiently as there will be no friction (besides drag) but less energy will be wasted on overcoming friction. Routes will use ferrous metals such as copper or Aluminium which will be easier to construct and maintain. Fuel costs will go down ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Gravity would take effect and pull the magnet down. If the magnet experiences a force downwards then the electrostatic force will increase and then it will push the magnet up. Essentially proved that that any system of particles that in which the inverse square law [1] was involved with the forces then they system could not remain in equilibrium and examples of this square law is gravity and even magnetism. Lenz law [2] comes into play as my hoverboard essentially will be over a conductive surface (Copper or Aluminium). Lenz law [3] states A electric current, induced by a source such as a changing magnetic field, always creates a counterforce opposing the force inducing it . A better understanding the idea of a magnet going through a copper tube can be used because as the magnet falls down this tube, a current is induced which flows in the direction that opposes the change in magnetic flux and hence the current will flow in the direction to cause a like pole to form which will repel the falling magnet and so the magnet falls slower relative to the speed it normally would and as it exits the copper tube the current will oppose the change in magnetic flux and form a pole which will speed up the falling magnet [3]. The reason I went into such detail is my main principle on my designs workings. Regarding mentioning this my design does have constraints as it can only be used over conductive materials and for it to levitate it must induce ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. Capitalism During The Great Depression For example, when a good is scarce, the prices goes up, so consumers try to avoid buying and therefore conserving the resource. Then, the suppliers want to find more of the source as to get a better profit. The reasons behind their actions are selfish, yet they benefit all of society. Smith identified that the pursuit of profit and the power of self interest would increase motivation and result in more advances in technology. His model of capitalism was on the basis of freedom and selfishness as a motivator for society. It was also on the basis that the economy would go through recessions and expansions but fix itself. Recessions are periods in the economy in which unemployment goes up, while profits and spending goes down; a slowdown of the economy. An expansion is essentially the exact opposite. The classical model of economics states that the economy will continue to go through these fluctuations over time and will fix itself with no help, thus not needing a government to give influence. Eventually, however, The Great Depression happened, and there was no end in sight of the dramatic recession. The Great Depression was a widespread crash of the market that happened in 1929 and lasted well into the 1930 s. For a long time, no one knew why it had happened or when it would be over. Often considered capitalism s savior, John Maynard Keynes noticed the lengthy depression and realized that something was causing it to be stuck. He thought that the economy was not going to pick ... • 12. Self-tranquility and Love in the Book A Perfect Day for... The word, bananafish may seem like one of the many imaginary words of a child, but this was actually thought up by a character named Seymour Glass; a man with the mind of a non adolescent, and the body of a grown person. Married and in love, Seymour goes off to fight in World War II. Upon his return, he suffered from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Therefore mentally setting him back for the rest of his life. For example, through the course of the story, a reader may notice how he tends to block off most of the people who care about him. J.D. Salinger lived with a similar mindset to Seymour; he blocked off, not only his loved ones, but society overall. At the time of writing, A Perfect Day for Bananafish, he had an interest in Zen Buddhism. In Zen Buddhism, self tranquility is a very strong factor to practicing the religion. However, they both may be private, but Seymour Glass has the mindset of a child, due to the war trauma. Sybil, a child Seymour meets on the beach, is a symbol for Seymour s mind. His childlike mindset causes him trouble adjusting to the reality of society. The cruel reality for Seymour is the greed the people in his life have. Therefore the term Banana Fever is a reference to the greed in society. Just like the Bananafish are greedy for bananas, humans are greedy as well. So, while everyone is infected with Banana fever. Seymour turns to a serious solution. With this being said, In the story, A Perfect Day for Bananafish JD Salinger uses symbolism ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 13. The Transcendentalist Value Of Education We spend about seven hours at school every day for five days every week for nine months out of the year. It becomes our second home, and it is supposed to teach us they ways of the world and how to survive in it. However, just like everything valuable, it comes at a price, which often is in the form of a student s health, sanity, and originality. Given that Thoreau, Emerson, and other transcendentalists value individualism and freedom of thought as essential aspects of a human being s life, they would despise the education system of today, as it forces students to conform and restrain their minds in order to be successful. Standardized tests violate the transcendentalist principles of individuality and dismantling rule of the majority by forcing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Most schools have a set list of courses with a strict curriculum to follow throughout the year, allowing students to choose their courses, but within the limitations of what the school offers and requires. This stifles a student s creativity and his or her ability to huckleberry, or scrambl[e] for ideas the way we hunt for huckleberries in the woods, as described in Thoreau s Night in Jail by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee (Lawrence and Lee 18). Thoreau s ideal learning method is much more free and natural than that of today. He would be opposed to the AP system and lecture based classes that are strictly based on memorization. Thoreau would prefer alternative techniques such as Socratic Dialogues or Harkness Discussions that allow students to learn from themselves and each other through discussion. Emerson agrees with Thoreau on this, proclaiming that [t]he intellect is vagabond, and the universal system of education fosters restlessness (Emerson 25). The use of the vagabond metaphor and the word restless imply that Emerson believes that students are much more intelligent than schools give them credit for. Schools undervalue students by forcing them into classes that fail to interest them instead of letting them take the more stimulating path of self discovery, which would benefit them more over the course of a ... In order to improve the AAT method, it needs to compare the reconstruction of temperature and wind velocity of RBF methods with synthetic data to quantify the amount of error. The deviation of ray path will be investigated, from nominal straight line caused by variation in sound speed. For the first step, it is required to employ improved ray path geometry calculations. Then, arrival time correction of the ray will be considered. After that, the best suited method will be recommended, in which, the result has a proper approximation to the real condition. 4.3 Task 3: Simulation of UAV AAT using LES Data NCAR provided a special dataset of realistic atmosphere condition derived from Large Eddy simulation. For example, Alice shows her characteristic as strong (although this was rare). It was highly recognised for subverting the stereotype which had appealed to a high number of audiences as stated earlier. Above all, the females are represented as sex objects in Halloween. Most people think that it is something virtuous and some people think it as immoral. However, I believe female representation as sex objects is wrong as it portrays them as weak and they should not be perceived rather they should be equal to men. Nonetheless, being depicted as a sex object should be up to the films whether they are happy as being labeled as that. Both films are indicating diverse representation of horror films. Gerburt Des Monicakinds Poem Analysis Grammar can be defined as a linguistic system that exists in the mind of a speaker of a language, a written description of a language, and an abstract notation of an ideal set of rules (of correct or proper grammar) which can be encoded in a handbook (Studies in English Grammar Handbook, pg.7). Monica Ferrell s, Of the Irresoubleness of Diamonds, Harmless, As Recalled by a Fairy Tale, Gerburt des Monicakinds, and Beautiful Funeral each employ four different grammatical issues one of them being the known new contract. Thanks to the Internet, we climb another step or three on the evolutionary ladder, and simply do away with the herd instinct and replace it with reason. The argument, if put this way, does not sound particularly strong. Before Henry is battle tested, he ponders his courage and questions whether he will be able to fight the urge to flee from battle. Henry does indeed end up deserting his comrades however he ultimately overcomes his guilt and becomes one of the best fighters in his regiment. The narrative simply revealed war in a manner that was divergent to all prior forms of literature in the 19th century. Previous novels predominately entailed the glorious and romantic aspects of war rather than the tedious, gritty, and gruesome details of close combat. Instead, Crane broke the barriers of literary norms in war related literature; the novel depicted a pragmatic experience of combat from the eyes of an inexperienced and frightened youth. In the Red Badge of Courage, Stephan Crane primarily uses religious and gory imagery as well as symbolism to contrast the romantic conceptions of war versus the reality of experiencing battle.
