Fifth Business Parent Child Relationship Quotes
The novel, Fifth Business, written by Robertson Davies includes various aspects of parent/child
relationships and the negative impacts they can have once an individual reaches adulthood. The
relationships that the three Deptford boys shared with their parents greatly impacted not only the
careers the three boys pursued, with Dunstan Ramsay becoming a hagiographer, Paul Dempster
becoming an illusionist, and Percy Staunton becoming a successful businessman, but also had an
impact on their spiritual individuation as well. As a child, Dunstan was raised by his stern Scottish
Presbyterian mother, which caused him to feel immense guilt throughout his life as well as repress
undesired emotions. An event that impacted his life greatly was Mary Dempster s... Show more

This is evident when Dunstan was not particularly distraught after he was informed of his parents
deaths after the war. As a child, Dunstan became quite fascinated by saints, an interest which
eventually lead to him becoming an avid hagiographer despite his Presbyterian upbringing. Upon
returning from the war, he had changed his name from Dunstable to Dunstan, an ode to St.
Dunstan, which contributed to Ramsay s individuation. Dunstan Ramsay further achieved
individuation with the help of Liselotte Vitzliputzli, who contributes to his psychological, spiritual,
and individual development. Dunstan had allowed his ego to overpower his shadow, which resulted
in him living as an overly cautious individual and not living life to its fullest. In his room in Mexico
City, Liesl confronted Dunstan with his true nature and forced him to understand himself. She used
Fifth Business as a metaphor for explaining Ramsay to himself, and it was not until this moment
that Dunstan carried this role out knowingly, such as when he revealed the secret of the snowball
and the keeping of the stone to Staunton and Eisengrim (Monk, 34 5). Towards the end of the
novel, it is clear that Dunstan reached individuation by stating, Dunstan Ramsay counselled against
revelation, but Fifth Business would not hear (Davies, 263), as well as Fifth Business insisted on
being heard again (Davies, 264). Both these quotations occurred when Dunstan Ramsay overcame
his ego and shadow, when acknowledging the secret of the snowball over fifty years after the
incident had taken place. It is important to acknowledge Dunstan s use of third person when
speaking. This indicates that although he acts as Fifth Business, he is still also his human self

Hospital And Ambulatory Care Case Study
Hospitals and Ambulatory Care
1) The traditional management style of hospitals have been hierarchical and internally focused.
What are the three important challenges that hospitals face to accommodate new payers and
consumer expectations?
These hospitals are using the manual approach of relating with consumers as will as payers.
Remittance to providers and disburse paper checks is prone to errors, costly and time consuming. It
is required of payers to adopt the standardized electronic healthcare transactions according to the
regulatory mandates. Electronic funds transfer (RFT) and Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) are
the recommended digital healthcare transactions that would reconcile the crisis at hand and reduce
the administrative costs.
While the digital migration is implemented in the healthcare system, payers, health providers and
consumers are faced with the challenge of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
What were some problems with the peer review process in judging the quality of hospital medical
care?
Conflict of interests is a common problem associated with peer review process, which is
contributed to by the internal politics. Economic competition and partner relationships also
contribute to conflicts of interests because of the big focus on facts while ignoring the personal
feelings and biases. Criticizing colleagues and eventually censuring the friends is a big challenge
among doctors. This is because the process involves a lot of work which goes uncompensated. In
addition, the process consumes time meant for attending to patients, leading to worse and
substandard care. 3) Almost two thirds of all surgical procedures are now performed in ambulatory
surgery facilities. Discuss the reasons for this shift of surgery from the inpatient setting and its

Access Controls Provide A Mechanism
Introduction
Access Controls provide a mechanism, which allows an administrator to ensure that appropriate
techniques are in place to control how users interact with an IT system. It provides an avenue where
restrictions can be developed, specifying what a user can do, the resources they can access, and the
functions they can execute on a system. It is aligned with the three main security principles;
confidentiality, integrity and availability. This alignment ensures that data and resources within an
IT system will remain confidential as required, the structure will remain intact and these objects
will remain available, so as not to diminish the functionality of the system. Access controls that are
incorporated into a security plan are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of the difficulties in managing this access arises from the need to provide a variety of user
s access, each requiring a different type of access to the system. For the sake of security, the need
to manage this access should be defined by one or more of the following frameworks; Role Based
Access Control (RBAC), Discretionary Access Controls (DAC), Mandatory Access Control (MAC),
and Mandatory Access Control (MAC).
Statement of Purpose
The current state of the organization s access control management system is consistent with that of
the DAC model. A recent move to outsource certain business practices and continued
organizational growth has created an environment where increases in employee hiring s and
employee turnover are inevitable. An analysis of various methods of access control has been
requested, so that we can better understand how specific access control attacks are perpetrated and
their origin. Information will be collected and then analyzed in order to substantiate any
recommended changes to the current access control configurations. RBAC, DAC, and MAC will
be compared and contrasted, in order to gain insight, as to how each plays a role in reducing the
risk to a system, along with identifying the strengths and weaknesses of each. These results, along
with a detailed recommendation will be presented to executive management, in order to generate
the necessary support for altering the current program

The Conflict Between Social Morality Towards Child Labor...
This poem addresses the conflict between social morality towards child labor and the realization
that the elite have influenced societies ways. As the original speaker in the poem sees something
black in the snow and approaches the object, it turns out to be a young chimneysweeper crying all
alone. Once the speaker has approached the cries, the poem then transitions to a different speaker
who is the young chimneysweeper expressing their perception towards their situation, which is
being involved in child labor and how the sweepers parents along with a prominent source such as
God, Priest Kings (12). bypass the morality of forced labor on the young. In the first quatrain stanza
it introduces dialogue between the original speaker and the sweeper. You can see there is dialogue
approaching because of the punctuations and quotations used within the stanza. Not only does the
punctuation give the reader the idea that another person is involved, but the traditional rhyme
schemeAA, BB in the first stanza makes the conversation flow smoothly. The first stanza is the
only stanza with rhyming couplets that pairs the two speakers together identifying that both lines
back to back is the same person speaking. A little black thing among the snow / Crying weep,
weep, in notes of woe! (1 2). The first two lines show the rhyming coupletas the same speaker. The
original speaker who has come across the young child is concerned. Where are thy father mother?

Literature Review On Visual Art Education
This literature review is concerned with the effective and engaging way to deliver visual art lesson
to students. This is a significant educational topic because research suggests that students
engagement in the classroom has been distinguished as the important indicator for students
academic success (Harbour, Evanovich, Sweigart, Hughes, 2015). Errey and Wood (2011) also
suggest that the higher the level of students engagement will result in a better learning outcome.
However, many students have fallen in the category of disengage during their classroom practice,
which also includes art classroom. The existing literature on visual art educationproven that many
students in art classroom claimed that they were bored and showed resistance in their art classes
(Pennisi, 2013), they were also not as enthusiastic about their art project as the teacher (Andrews,
2010). So, the purpose of this literature review is to discuss several approaches for teachers to
effectively deliver art education in the classroom.
The existing literature on visual art education proven that there is little evidence of how teaching
practice happens in the classroom (Mitchell, 2016). Mitchell (2016) also argues that although there
are several types of research that provide the important information on the foundation of art
educations, there is barely any information that proves how learning effectively occurs in the art
education. This approach might include building a positive relationship (Keeffe, Lovejoy, Spenser
Jones, Prain, 2013), the usage of technology in the classroom (Patton Buffington, 2016), applying
student centered learning (Andrews, 2010).
Student centered Learning
It has been discussed that teacher needs to move away from teacher centered learning and using
student centered learning instead. In this way, instead of being the commander in the classroom,
teacher act as the facilitator and the guide for students, in which helping students in reaching their
desired art projects. It is also necessary for visual art classroom to provide a condition where
different students develop their own potential abilities (Tomljenovic, 2015). This condition could be
achieved by using student centered teaching strategies, which

Dress Codes In School
Teens are already restricted on what they can and cannot do on school grounds like what we eat,
what classes we take, and what activities we can be in. How we dress should not be one of those
reasons. We have a right to what we wear on a day to day basis. I m not saying that we should all
be able to dress half naked, but we need to dress how we like. There should be no dress codes
because the dress codes are sexest, we need to show our originality, and kids should not have to be
taken out of school because their outfit is inappropriate.
In schools, they usually just talk to the girls about dress codes. Saying no shoulders showing and
our skirts have to be a certain length. Guys on the other hand get away with wearing tank tops to
school everyday. Maybe the problem we have isn t the girls accidentally showing a little shoulder
here and there, but how the guys think. If girls can control themselves with the guys showing their
muscles, then the guys can control themselves ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Unless the school the child is going to has the child wear a uniform and the child is ok with it, they
should be whatever they feel comfortable in. Teens come to school wearing what they do because it
represents who they are. Just because our generation dresses differently than others, does not mean
that the school district disrupts our learning to make us change. We go to school for learning, not to
be told what and what not to wear.
School districts are over exaggerating this problem. We are a new generation and they need to
be ok with how we dress and act. We shouldn t come to school half naked, but we should have a
right to wear what we like and not have teachers or other students judging us. There should be no

Judicial Tyranny The New Kings Of America
The book Judicial Tyranny The New Kings of America? is a compilation of articles and
speeches. It is compiled by Mark Sutherland and includes writings from famed Christian
personality James C. Dobson Chief Justice Roy Moore, Ambassador Alan Keyes, U.s Attorney
General Ed Meese, among others. The book is a call to political action. It is aimed at Christian
readers and the writers all argue that Christian politics equals constitutional purism. It is specifically
meant to invoke constitutional responses and activism. Each chapter, twenty in all, are a few pages
long and systematically decry the current judicial system and explain the lack of constitutional
basis for their current level of power.
The book s primary source of inspiration seems to be the lawsuit involving Alabama Chief Justice
Roy Moore. The case was highly publicized and Moore s refusal to carry out the ultimate ruling
led to his removal from office. Chief Justice Moore was removed from office in which a majority
of citizens of Alabama elected him to serve for acknowledging God with the placement of a
monument that contains the Ten Commandments and for refusing to remove that monument. The
majority of the writers in Judicial Tyranny reference his case extensively and an excerpt from
Roy Moore s book ( So Help Me God, 2005) appears as Chapter seven in Judicial Tyranny. The
remainder of the book does do an admittedly excellent job of weaving historical quotes and
happenings into all of the writings so that

Some of these are based on virtualization of the device, others offer specialized applications for
specific business processes such as emails or VPNs. Furthermore, some products offer remote
connections to the enterprise networks. Most of these solutions, however, exhibit the
disadvantage that they either require a modification of the underlying operating system/kernel or
a rooted device. In the traditional case, the device being used by the employee is provided by the
company and IT officials of the enterprise can make the necessary modifications to the device
kernel and Operating System (OS), to enforce that the required enterprise policies cannot be
bypassed by employees. For instance, the enterprise could certify a certain OS configuration and
guarantee the correct execution of binaries. But modifying the OS of an employee device is not an
appealing solution since it prevents employees from installing updates on their devices, and it
requires the consent of the employee. Moreover, in BYOD scenarios, these solutions cannot be
deployed. This stems from the fact that given the device does not belong to the enterprise, the latter
does not have any justification in modifying the underlying

Conscientious Objector In The Film Soldier Of Conscience
John F. Kennedy said, War will exist until that distant day when the conscientious objector enjoys
the same reputation and prestige that the warrior does today. The idea that a soldier would refuse
to participate in war due to their moral and conscience beliefs shows how they can overcome the
norm and stand up for their beliefs. Until watching the movie Soldiers of Conscience I was
unaware that a soldiercould break their contract with the government to follow their own personal
views. Although this is a difficult and tedious procedure if a soldier is found to be a
conscientious objector they will be dismissed from the Army with dishonorable discharge. To
become a conscientious objector, the soldier must fill out an application and be interviewed by a
psychiatrist, chaplain, and investigating officer. This process takes a long time and requires that
the soldier has a strong belief in not participating in war. A person who hopes to become a
conscientious objector seeks a stronger moral principle or connection to their faith. They... Show

The soldiers who chose to become conscientious objectors followed Nietzche s idea of an
Ubermensch. An Ubermensch is considered a super human who is able to define their morals

He said, ...To begin with, we can conjecture that the idea conscience, which we are encountering
here in its highest, almost perplexing form, has a long history and changing developmental
process behind it already. To be entitled to pledge one s word, and to do it with pride, and also to
be permitted to say Yes to oneself... Friedrich Nietzche acknowledges that it is difficult to fully
commit oneself to something and to consciously agree to it. The soldiers who had signed up for
the Army second guessed their values and realized that you were not doing what their heart was

What Role Does Jutus Play In Jewish Religion
Every December in households all over the world, people of the Jewish faith gather around to
celebrate the joyous holiday of Hanukkah. Yet few realize that the foundations of this celebration
maybe traced on a series of bloody and violent events, which occur more than two thousand years
ago. At that time, Judea was a minor providence under the iron fist of a despotic emperor. His
relentless obsession to diminish and humiliate the Jewish religion would ignite a holy war.
Antiochus persecution would have being resisted by faithful Jews, the once who keep up their
traditions. Besides the religious motives, this opposition was also based on other social reasons:
supporters of Hellenism were mostly members of the wealthy classes: priests and nobles of
Jerusalem, therefore, when Jerusalem became a polis, in other words, a Hellenistic city or a city
state in ancient Greece, citizens no longer depended on being part of the same people through
circumcision practices, or observed the Sabbath and other laws of the Torah, but a criterion of
income and social position was introduced instead. This created a discontent in the middle and
lower class of the people. In these times of religious decay, a great military leader arose to... Show

Power In A Tale Of Two Cities
Power is the Silent Assassin Charles Dickens, a prosperous author by the age of twenty five, was
born in Portsmouth, England, on February 7, 1812. A Tale of Two Cities, written by Charles
Dickens in 1859, is considered to be one of the darkest of the major books that he wrote. The
novel is considered dark because its takes place in England and France before and throughout the
French Revolution. The French Revolution was a ten year revolt of the peasants against the nobles
that resulted in the deaths of tens of thousands of people. In Dickens A Tale of Two Cities

The peasants have changed the laws since the French Revolution started, which is very hypocritical
considering one of the reasons for the war was to fight for justice against the nobles unjust court
system, and now they are doing the exact same thing to the nobles, even the innocent ones, for
revenge. An officer immediately jails Charles Darnay, an honorable man, into solitary confinement
in a prison named La Force because he is accused of being an emigrant. When the officer asserts,
Without doubt. You are consigned, Evremonde, to the prison of La Force (195), Darnay exclaims,
Under what law, and for what offence? showing the unexpectedness of his imprisonment. In this
novel, emigrants are nobles who have fled from their homes, and though Darnay denounced his
family name years before, he belongs to the Evremonde family, and therefore, must die. During the
French Revolution, the peasants commonly made vulgar jokes about the Guillotine, which was a
new weapon used to behead its victims. They laughed about the weapon and how they killed many
people with it, saying, it was the best cure for headache (212). We can conclude the reader no longer

Essay Deadbeat Parents
Deadbeat Parents
Since the beginning of time, there have been children born out of wedlock. When children are
born out of wedlock it is still the responsibility of both parents to contribute to the needs of a child
both ethically and legally. However that is not happening much of the time in today s world. When
a child is not cared for by a parent, it looks bad on them to society. However since child support
laws have been enacted, ethical reasons to take care of a child are now overpowered by legal
reasons.
Now there are more and more parents being dubbed deadbeats for failure to take care of their
children financially. Since the women s movement there has been a social ... Show more content on

Federal, state and local governments are all playing a part in helping to bring to justice deadbeat
parents. Since child support laws and the deadbeat parent laws have come into play, it is making
it more difficult to run if you owe child support. The federal government sets the standards for
child support enforcement. It is then handed down to the state governments to send cases to
appropriate local governments. The local governments within their offices do most of the work in
locating the parent, establishing paternity, enforcement of child support, and modification of
support. If a child support order is not followed the local governments begin the searching
process. Several tactics have been put into place to track down deadbeats parents within the last
few years. Branches of the government are now using social security numbers to search jobs,
bank accounts, automobiles, and tax returns. They are now suspending licenses if you fall behind
in child support. Deadbeat parents also can now be tracked down from state to state since federal
and state regulations of child support have been established. In previous years it was almost
impossible to find parents once they moved out of state. However they are working more and more
to track down the deadbeat parent s country wide. The federal government mandated that a country
wide automated child tracking system be implemented. This new system is known as

Hypnagogic Jerks
Alter sleep position: Some people may have success in altering their sleep position from supine
(on the back) to sleeping on the side or stomach. Sleeping on the back has been associated with a
variety of odd sleep experiences and phenomena. It should be theorized that altering your sleep
position may decrease likelihood of hypnagogic jerks.
Bed firmness: It should be considered that a more firm or less firm bed may influence brain
activity prior to falling asleep. Those on a less firm bed may receive less muscular stimulation and
thus feel as if they are falling or floating, which causes a jerk. Similarly those with extremely firm
sleeping surfaces may end up with overstimulated musculature, leading to nerve misfirings and
provoking a reflexive startle twitch.

Regardless of whether the stimulant is a pharmaceutical drug or legal drug like caffeine, these
agents may increase likelihood of hypnagogic jerks. If you want to decrease the jerks, you may
want to reduce, eliminate or consume stimulants only within specific windows of time (e.g. the

Pharmaceutical drugs or supplements: In some cases, taking a pharmaceutical drug to help with
sleep quality may simultaneously reduce or eliminate hypnagogic jerks from your life. In other
cases, taking the right supplements may result in a similar effect. If you need medication for your
sleep or a supplement (e.g. melatonin), you may find that they decrease the jerking.
Regimented sleep schedule: By sticking with a regimented or strict sleep schedule, your circadian
rhythm should adapt. Those with variable sleep schedules may have a circadian rhythm that isn t

Dee digs deep about the whole heritage situation and takes it to another level where it suddenly

her Mother on the other hand, understands her heritage, but hasn t exactly taken it as far as Dee

The poem, The Guerilla is a poet , is a work of Jose Ma. Sison, a poet, a communist supporter,

life experiences. The poem was synonymous to his life during his fight against Marcos and his

was also the pen name of the author, as he was able to relate his experiences with Guerrero.

the question: How similar are their experiences? This will be answered in the following
paragraphs. First, we can see from the poem that it is dark and sad for it portrayed struggle
against men of power, and that it has a recurring pattern. The words The guerilla is like a poet
were repeated at the beginning of every stanza. How is this related to his life s experiences? The
effect of this phrase is that it shows the different events during his time fighting the Marcos
regime, and in the poem, every stanza showed the soldier Amado s struggle and eventual trapping
and assassination of Trujillo, the dictator. Both his life experience and the poem portrayed his
struggle against the dictator. This poem can also show the author s life as a fugitive, as he was

The women that march around burning bras, hating men, and denying to shave their body hair.
A perfect definition for a feminist, right? Wrong. If you do not agree with feminism, it could
possibly be because everything you know about it is wrong. According to a poll conducted by
PerryUndem in 2015, a research and communications firm, 85 percent of Americans believe in
equality for women. Yet, only 18 percent of respondents identified as a feminist. Evidently, it is a
belief that is wildly misunderstood and learning more about it could change one s perception of
the world completely. The basic assumption shared by all feminists is that women suffer certain
injustices on account of their sex. Feminists stress the importance of gender divisions in society
and it simply portrays these divisions as working to the overall advantage of men. Although
feminists are united with their common desire for sexual justice and their concern for women s
welfare, there is a range spectrum of feminist views that many are uneducated on. Many do not
know that anyone can be a feminist regardless of age, religion, or gender.
A common misconception about feminism is that it is strictly for a certain type of person. Myths
about feminists include the standards that being feminists means being homosexual women who
hate men, which is so far from the truth. Though many men, and even some women deny the fact
that they are a feminist because of this, it is because they have their own false perceptions on

is rationalisation a desireable strategy for junction hotel
Foundations Of Managing And Organising N0451474 Assessment 2: Discuss which approach to
managing and organising Junction Hotel would be most effective for the long term success of the
hotel: personality and motivation 3000 words This essay will be discussing the affects that Junction
Hotel would sustain if they were to implement rationalisation as a strategy. Julien Freund (1968)
defines rationalisation as the organization of life through a division and coordination of activities

Analysing a more humanist approach he argued how treating people as a machine is degrading
towards the human spirit. Furthermore Elton mayo (1984) investigated against rationalisation
approach using the Hawthorne experiments concluding how managers or observers aswell as
colleagues can affect how well people work. Morgan (2006) also looked into human minds and
behaviour and argued that even though machines have an everyday use in society negative effects
can occur such as affecting the human spirit in routinized activities. Rationalisation as an
approach towards Junction Hotel can show its advantages in efficiency levels however; even
efficiency is not always affected in a positive way as Ritzer (2011) explains using the organisation
McDonald s as his focus, constructing social theories in the organisation about how people s
creativity can be restrained in the repetitive workforce. Ritzer (2011) explains his theory upon how
individuals in the workplace are affected by a more psychological perspective. Thinking about the
rationalisation approach towards the Junction Hotel may not only limit staff member s creativity,
but make the current workplace more repetitive and therefore dull. Increasing managing customers
in an efficient time may also create a negative affect by increasing the workload per person

Different Types Of Assessments That Have Been Standardized...
There are many different types of assessments that are used during different situations and some
during different times during the year. Each assessment has its own uses and also its own rules ,
which can be categorized as formal and informal. Formal assessments are assessments usually
given through tests and are referred to as standardized tests. Informal assessments are assessments
is mostly given in natural settings and include tools such as running records and anecdotal notes.
This research paper will focus on formative assessments that have been standardized and will
answer the questions of what, why and how. Assessments, based on my understanding, can be
simplified into three different areas and each area is essential to the overall success of children as
they become adults. The areas are considered to be the purposes of assessment . The three areas
include screening assessment, diagnostic assessment and also instructional assessment. When
thinking of using assessments in Early Childhood Education the important key questions to focus
on is why, what and how. Why means knowing why an assessment is needed. For what purpose is
the assessment being used? What means deciding on what type of assessment should be used, in
what situation. First, will it be an informal assessment? Or a formal assessment? And last is how
the assessment will be used. This includes the setting, time and the process of the assessment.

Bashar Al-Assad Genocide
Bashar al Assad Genocide (2000 present)
INTRODUCTION
Bashar al Assad is the 19th president of Syria, he has committed genocide on the people of his
country. The protests continued after the first strike made by Bashar al Assad. Leading to more
strikes, and ultimately resulting in an ongoing genocide. There haven t been any stereotypes
involved in this genocide, though there is a common target of protesters, there hasn t been any
characteristics or ethnicities that have been targeted.
The victims aren t even captured in this genocide which is obviously different than the Holocaust.

Nothing has really become of the perpetrators because this genocide is ongoing. There hasn t been
any form of punishment yet and they still haven t been stopped. Governments around the globe
have been working to try to stop the Syrian government but have been unsuccessful so far. The UN
is getting closer to reaching a decision on what will happen to the Syrian government and the

The porosity and volumetric characteristics of the materials were evaluated by volumetric
analyses. In both materials (Fig. 4), the Type IV N2 adsorption desorption isotherms with H1
type hysteresis corresponded to condensation and evaporation steps, and were characteristic of
periodic mesoporous materials. The textural properties of SBA 15, NH2 SBA 15 and Fe3O4
SBA 15 Cya Cit Au NPs have been summarized in Table 1. It is noteworthy that the surface area,
pore volume, and pore size decreased following the modification, confirming that the surface
modification occurred on the inner surface of the silica wall [23]. A considerable decrease in the
BET surface area upon grafting of cyanuric citric acid and Au nanocrystallites at the surface of the

Parenthood And Its Effects On The United States
Planned Parenthood There is an ongoing argument about the funding of Planned Parenthood in the
United States. There are many reasons that some people do not want to fund it. One of those
reasons is because Planned Parenthood offers abortions to women. There are people who believe
that these operations should be shut down to rid our country of abortions. However, Planned
Parenthood offers much more than just abortions in their clinics. Planned Parenthood should be
funded because of the examinations and resources they provide, the education they give, and
because it is a low income health center.
Planned Parenthood offers access to many important health examinations, procedures, treatments
and medications. They offer breast cancer and cervical cancer exams. They test for STI s, HPV
and UTI s to name a few. All of these tests and exams are preventative actions to not only see if
someone has a health issue, but also to prevent health issues. They provide birth control to women
who are not ready to have children. They also offer abortions. However, Planned Parenthood has
decreased the number of abortions per year overall, including Vermont where Title X was passed to
fund operations such as Planned Parenthood. This is because Planned Parenthood offers birth
control therefore preventing unwanted pregnancies which may have ended in abortion (Zoppo 497).
It is also important to note that Federal funding of Planned Parenthood does not fund abortions
except for cases of rape,

Abstract: The purpose of this experiment was extract proteins from the muscle tissue of various fish
species and execute an SDS PAGE to determine similarities in their respective protein profiles. The
seven species examined in this investigation were the Yellow Tuna (Thunnus albacares), Thresher
Shark (Alopias vulpinus), Paiche (Arapaima gigas), Swordfish (Xiphias gladius), Catfish (Ameiurus

They are directly controlled by DNA specific sequencing and coding. Since proteins are influenced
by DNA, their profiles, also known as proteomes, are indicative of evolutionary and genetic
relatedness. These proteomes vary from cell to cell, as the function of each group of cells is
different. Proteomics refers to the study of protein structure, function, and interaction within a
certain environment in an organism.
The purpose of this experiment is to perform a procedure known as SDS PAGE (sodium dodecyl
sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis) in order to determine protein profiles for seven fish
species: Yellow Tuna (Thunnus albacares), Thresher Shark (Alopias vulpinus), Paiche (Arapaima
gigas), Swordfish (Xiphias gladius), Catfish (Ameiurus catus), Coho Salmon (Oncorhynchus
kisutch), and Rainbow Trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss). The gel electrophoresis separates the fish
muscle proteins according to their molecular weights, which allows one to determine a profile for
each specie.
The goal of this experiment is to extract proteins from fish muscle tissue, unfold and denature them,
load them for gel electrophoresis, and determine the success in our efforts to classify and compare
fish muscle protein profiles. These protein profiles will help establish the shared characteristics and
evolutionary relationships between any two given fish species.

District 9 Archetypes
The movie District 9 and the novel The Devil and Miss Prym utilize different types of conflict,

explores the theme of social segregation and relativism in relation to their government. It also
explores the person versus self, type of conflict with the archetypes of the refugee and the other.
This movie also explores relativism according to the main character and the government. The

This then indicates that, the equity ratio is about 59% on the capital structure. This shows that,
the equity value was more than the dept. However by the end of 2015, the dept ratio for Aveva
was 0.54, which then translates to 54% of dept versus equity, which will be 46%. In this
scenario, the borrowing exceeded the value of the company equity thus impacting on the market
value of the company negatively. The best case scenario, Aveva investor should consider
investing more on the equity and reduce the dept that the company is facing, this can then
redeem the value of the company and thus possibility realizing stable financial performance in
future, Drax group Plc on the other hand, has experienced drastic compression of its equity value.
As of the year 2011 the company was faced with a dept ratio of about 0.54. This failed to reduce,
and instead went higher and as at the end of 2015, the company dept ratio was about 1.02. This
simply means that, the company dept is higher than the company s value, therefore financial

Types Of Nonsense Point Mutation
Genetic Disorders of Nonsense Point Mutations
Gene expression is regulated by the cell, and genetic mutations can cause permanent changes in the
cell s genetic material. Specifically, one type of mutation that occurs in a cell s DNA is a nonsense
point mutation. In this type of mutation, a chemical change in only one nitrogenous base results in
a premature stop codon. This causes the translation to end early. In the given strand of DNA, the
nitrogenous base Adenine was affected. Thymine was substituted in Adenine s place. Therefore, the
amino acid chain was altered, causing a premature stop codon. The sequence no longer continued
after the stop codon was in place due to the mutation. However, if no mutation occurred, the

Hurler syndrome is one of three types of mucopolysaccharidosis and it is the most severe. The
symptoms of Hurler Syndrome usually appear between the ages of three and eight (Foster,
2017). Many infants with severe Hurler syndrome demonstrate no symptoms until later in life. A
few symptoms of this disorder are as followed: claw hands, deafness, stunted growth, joint
disease, progressive intellectual disability, and retardation (A.D.A.M, 2017). Moreover,
symptoms of this disease can range from mild to severe. Foster (2017) demonstrates that patients
with this disease have thick, coarse facial features and low nasal bridges. A series of
examinations, such as an EKG and a spinal X ray, can be executed to test for Hurler Syndrome
early on.
Though both disorders are incurable, there is a plethora of treatment options available. For
example, Eteplirsen is an approved injection medication that helps treat individuals with a specific
mutation of the gene that leads to DMD (Anirudh, 2017). However, the most commonly seen side
effects of this treatment option are balance problems and vomiting. Eteplirsen works by increasing
the production of dystrophin which could ultimately improve muscle function. In addition,
surgeries are also available to fix shortened muscles, straighten the spine, or treat a heart or lung
problem. Steroids such as prednisone slow muscle damage.

History of Conquerors
One of the most important things Conquerors could do during ancient times was to find and claim
land. Once the land had been taken, the conquerors would force the natives were forced to learn the
culture of their new ruler and practice it. Unlike most conquerors, Alexander the Great would
incorporate his Greek culture with the culture of the land that he conquered. When Alexander went

By learning the culture, it showed the Alexander respected the Egyptian culture earning the trust

By taking the time to learn the ancient traditions of the Egyptians and completing something as

America s Illicit Drug Networks And The State Reaction
After reading Mexico s Illicit Drug Networks and the State Reaction, I have concluded that this
short read is highly informative and intriguing. I personally was drawn in by the horrific stories
of violence, kidnapping, and mass murders of deadly encounters, and fascinated by learning how
the state planned and responded. Author Nathan Jones, is able to illustrate why Mexican drug
cartels have been able to prolong existence while under attack by Mexico and the United States.
He is able to do so by examining and comparing two types of illicit drug networks and how they
provoke different state reactions based on their business strategy. Jones relates his discoveries to
the Arellano Felix Organization because it was one of the first Mexican cartel to be targeted by
the state and split along trafficking oriented and territorial lines [where] one survived and one did
not (p. 12). This read is significant because it allows for the government to better distinguish
between drug networks that will withstand the test of time, and those that will crumble under
pressure. Jones utilizes his findings and applied it to the novel, and the current drug prohibition
program. Jones applied a combination of various fieldwork methods in order to gather the data
displayed in the book. He states how in addition to extensively researching archival court
documents, media and government reports, [he] conducted an academic year of fieldwork in

The Impact Of Overfishing On The Environmental Balance
As far back as the history of man, humans have been dependent on the ocean and water resources
for food and survival. While hundreds of years of single handed fishing rods in coastal and
inland water channels have not alone been the root cause of overfishing, these common
practices today still impact the environmental balance. Ocean overfishing is the removal or
taking of wildlife from the oceans and seas at rates too high for fished species to replace
themselves and is a threat that exists to our way of life. Overfishing can occur by commercial
fishing, single person excessive fishing in a particular area of a body of water, or by other natural
predatory activity. A recent report by scientists said that if commercial fishspecies the fish caught
for food continue to decline at the current rate, by the year 2048 most commercial fish species
will be in danger of never recovering because of the break in the natural ecosystem which would
affect the diversity of wildlife in the ocean (Kurlansky, 2011). As a humanspecies, we are
responsible for educating each other on this worldwide concern to help save our planet. If this isn t
a reason to begin efforts of worldwide education on overfishing, what is? The impact of overfishing
has long term consequences on the human race and the animal population as it threatens our
biological balance and our ecosystem. The good news is that there are currently organizations,

How Do Political Cartoons Affect Political Issues
Do political cartoons affect the public views on political issues? They have had a significant
impact on people in the past, because they were able to show the political views of the author in
a simple, and easy to understand way. Cartoons can shed light onto unknown problems as well as
affect people s opinions on controversial issues. In the cartoons, men are portrayed as animals to
show they were acting savagely, or cartoons were set in already known stories so that they could
compare the similarities. Just because the images are simplified does not mean that their effects are
any less important. Their problems include: the indecency of racial suffrage, the disparity in
leadership, and the overshadowing of suffering.
Cartoons are often drawn around events that the audience would recognize. For instance, the story
of Sampson, in which he kept his power so long as he did not cut his hair. When Delilah, his wife
and the person he trusted most, cut off his hair, he lost all of his power. One particular cartoon
portrays the United States as Delilah, removing Sampson s hair. Sampson is portrayed as a black

born with the name Nathan Pinchback Toomer, but it was later changed to Eugene Toomer.
Toomer s grandfather Pinckney Benton Stewart Pinchback was born a free Negro to a white
planter and a mulatto slave. Jean Toomer admired his grandfather, who served in the army
during the Civil War, and later became governor of Louisiana. His grandfather, like Toomer, was
able to easily pass for black or white. Throughout Jean Toomer s life, he struggled with his
identity. As he was able to pass as white, he would sometimes deny the fact that he was white.

My Life At An Elusive Black Bear
A few years ago when I was younger, my father took me out one evening bear hunting. This
evening was just like any other day because since I was small my dad had taken me with him on
many of his hunting adventures. We gathered all of our needed gear such as the cross bow, the
mono pod, and our cushioned seats. Then we set off, leaving our comfort of home for a relaxing
evening together. I was hoping to get a chance at an elusive black bear. Unknowingly, this day
became one of the most memorable days in my life, for a small brown haired reason. The wind
was weaving its way harmoniously through the treetops at sunset. It created a mystifying
ambiance within the forest. The sun was gleaming through the tree branches, leaving its last
little slivers of warmth before dropping down below the hills for its lingering night s sleep. It
almost seemed like a picturesque dream all together with the hushed silence. After conversing
about all of our potential hunting spots, we decided to go up the steep knob where we had seen
black bear sign before. We found a cozy spot right in front of an elongated stump. It was humid
that evening. When we finally had reached our desired area, we were warmer than the black top
on a hot summer s day. We took a few heavy layers off before we sat down. This turned out great
because it provided some much needed extra padding.
After we got settled in, we prepared for the certain places we suspected a bear would come from.
There was a narrow overgrown

Shakespeare s Most Famous Soliloquy With A Mark Of Their...
Actors interpret Shakespeare s most famous soliloquy with a mark of their own artistry.
In films and on stage, actors who play Hamlet exhibit various degrees of emotion and pacing
speed. It is difficult to evaluate the soliloquy on its own because the way the play is performed in
its entirety gives meaning to the soliloquy while the soliloquy also illuminates a special
interpretation in the play. However, I argue that the soliloquy has a musical structure a sonata
form, specifically that can serve as a framework under which performances can be analyzed.
Even though they were viewed discretely from their entire play, there are performances of the
soliloquy that may be considered more effective than others under the framework examined
under the sonata form.
The sonata form usually has three main parts: the exposition, the development, and the
recapitulation. In the exposition, the composer introduces a theme that will set the groundwork
for the entire work. Once the theme is introduced, it is often played in a different key but in a
parallel structure. Hamlet s soliloquy begins with the theme of the uncertainty of death: To be
or not to be, that is the question. The rest of the soliloquy expands on this central theme as it
clearly sets the groundwork for Hamlet s internal struggle. A repeat of this theme is heard when
Hamlet speaks, To die: to sleep; No more. Now instead of considering the difficulties and
possibly the nobler act of

Chase Andrew Miner Research Paper
It s a boy!! That s what the doctor said when I was born. I was born in Decatur County Hospital
in Leon, Iowa. The day was the third of January in the year of 2000. At the time I was born it
was a special moment and not just for my family, but the county. The reason for that was because
I was the millennial baby for Decatur County. There were many people who had known the
name Chase Andrew Miner. I was given the name Chase Andrew Miner. My mom had liked the
name Chase and Chance, but she finally decided on Chase. While that decision wasn t too hard
for her to make, (at least she said it wasn t) my last name, Miner, was an even easier decision. My
mom was married to my dad and she took his last name, so the obvious last name would be
Miner. My mom told me she had a really difficult time figuring out a middle name for me. She
couldn t find a name that fit in well. One day my aunt, Lori, called my mom and asked about the
name Andrew. My mom had thought about it and she decided that that name fit. So from that day
I was Chase Andrew Miner. The joke my mom says now is if she knew she d have to chase me so
much, she would have named me Slow. But word got around of what... Show more content on

Some people would think that s nothing special, but if you think about, this is something like
this happens every 1,000 years. That s a long time! The people and businesses in the county
recognized the significance, and they gave me things to help celebrate. I have heard stories from
my mom, so I know some of the things I have gotten. Some of the items included a free haircut,
compliments of the Cutting Edge in Leon, two saving bonds, little outfit to wear, a twenty five
dollar gift card to Cayses and Conico (my mom probably enjoyed that), free diapers and wipes,
and some other things. Things had been seeming to go well for the first several months that I was

Essay on The House on Mango Street and the Style of...
The House on Mango Street and the Style of Sandra Cisneros
Clearly, Sandra Cisneros writing style is one representative of a minority voice. Her amazing
style allows her readers to take an active part in the minority experience. For this reason, I believe
Cisneros has had a lot of influence and success in the status of minority writers, especially in the
canon of what is read and taught in schools today. But, more than anything, Cisneros has shown
that liberation can come through creativity and literature, and not just through geographical
excursion.
Cisneros The House on Mango Street is a novel about the importance of not forgetting where you
come from. Esperanza, a young Latino girl and the story s main character, wants to ... Show more

In other words, Esperanza comes to understand that identity is very much beyond where one s
house is located. It may even be connected to art. In examining these profound themes, Cisneros has
been able to achieve a significant amount of influence and success in the role and status of minority
writers.
As stated previously, Cisneros style in The House on Mango Street suggests to us that liberation
can be achieved through an art form, rather than physically picking up and moving your
residence. Esperanza overcomes her condition by creating the realm of literature, rather than the
physical reality of another house in another time and place. In this way, she is able to distance
herself from her community and family. But all the while, still holding on to her heritage and
ethnicity. By affirming her own artistic ability, Esperanza is able to blend all of her dreams.
Because of this we come to understand that one can achieve self discovery and even independence
through something so remote as literature. This is where I find Cisneros influence the most
powerful. I believe she is stressing a theme here, not just for Hispanics, but for all minorities as
well. She lets them know that liberation can be achieved within several realms of the human
experience.
I believe that Cisneros demonstrates that individual values can and usually are socially constructed.

Case Analysis Of Croma
6.5 Recommendation to Industry
6.5.1 Current Marketing Strategies
1.Emphasis on newer platform of promotions and branding to create brand recall: Croma is now
using social media for branding. It is eyeing the media platforms like Facebook, twitter and
YouTube to further catapult its growth. They focus on online events like contents, advertisements
and promotional codes. The main aim is to create a brand identity for CROMA and also expose the
consumers to their store. They aim to create more foot fall through such campaigns.
2.Tie ups with major TV channels: Croma has not invested much in the media sector. But they are
planning to launch campaigns in channels like Star Network, ESPN etc. to reinforce their brand
3.Creating e commerce ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These should have the features of the phone with large sized images. This image can also have a
QR Code or Quick Response code shown in one corner. The QR code will take the viewer to the
video of that phone where all features are explained. This is so because, smart phones are generally
a high involvement product and their consumers seek a lot of information on Internet after visiting
stores like Croma.
Focus on Search Engine Optimization to stay in the consumers mind when they are actively
seeking for a new mobile phone online. For example, this can be done by using the keywords that
are actively used while searching and comparing mobiles online.
6.5.3 Advertising strategy for Croma Electronics:
Print advertisement cannot be cluttered and they should be able to catch the attention of the
consumers.
Needs of the consumer to be targeted include discounts, promotional offers, freebies offered, EMI
schemes, warranty provided etc. This is because consumers are visiting Croma only to get the feel
about the product and since they price the products slightly higher than the local outlets, consumers
end up purchasing

Taking a Look at Body Art
Research Assignment (Body Art) Body painting is a certain form of art that continued with humans
through the ancient times to the modern day times, where artists use the human body as canvasses
to show beauty like no other style of artwork can. African, European, Asia, and Australian tribes
have shown records that body paintingwas used. The tribes were using pigments from plant leaves
and fruits to decorate themselves because body art was an important part of their lives. Body art
would represent qualities of the people, goals for life, gods, and many war themes. The first full
body paintingarose in 1933 of a naked model in Chicago. Body painting spread out during the
1960 s when hippies began the movement in the United States. It is important to clarify that
body painting is not just applied to nude bodies, but also can be applied to pieces of skin. Alexa
Meade is a very skilful artist and has a certain style and view of body painting herself. Alexa was
born and raised in 1986 in Washington, D.C. In 2009, Meade graduated from Vassar College in
Poughkeepsie, NY majoring in political science. Meade received her bachelor s degree, but never
attended art school. Meade was forced to teach herself how to paint, which started at the age of 15.
When interviewed, Meade stated, I didn t have to think of painting as this thing on canvas, because
I didn t have any practice doing that. I just saw paint as something that can be used in space. When

has become more and more popular among researched in recent years. Interactive segmentation, as
opposed to fully automatic one, supplies the user with means to incorporate his knowledge into the
segmentation process. However, in most of the existing techniques, the suggested user interaction is
not good enough since the user cannot intuitively force his knowledge into the tool or edit results
easily. Therefore, in ambiguous situation, the user has to revert to tedious manual drawing.
Presented method to develop as a combined segmentation and editing tool. It incorporates a simple
user interface and a fast and reliable segmentation based on 1D segment matching. The user is
required to click just a few control points on the desired object border, and let the algorithm
complete the rest. The user can then edit the result by adding, removing and moving control points,
where each interaction is follows by an automatic, real time segmentation by the algorithm.

Jamaica Research Paper
I chose Jamaican Jews because there are few Jews living in Jamaica today but hundreds of years
ago their were many Jews living there and many of Jews that live in Canada today, have ancestors
leading back to Jamaica. Today the estimated total population of Jews living in Jamaica is between
200 424,000. This essay will discuss the pull factors that influenced Jewish immigration to Jamaica,
how they organized and the push factors that caused them to leave from the time the first Jewscame
to Jamaica in 1494 1655 until today.
Before their were any Jews in Jamaica they were living all around the world in countries like
Spain, Germany, Poland and France. They were forced to leave these countries due to anti
semitism, war and Spanish Inquisition ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One main push factor is that the jewish community in jamaica was never big. This is good and
bad for a lot of reasons: Having a small jewish community meant that everyone would be
generally close with one another similar to a small, closely knit town. A small Jewish community
also meant that if you were looking to marry jewish that you wouldn t have as many options as
you would in a bigger jewish community. Another push factor is that when the jews first arrived in
jamaica they had to conceal their identity and refer to themselves as Portuguese or Spanish and had
to practice their religion secretly before the british conquest of the island in 1655 but after that
were allowed to practice judaism openly. This was also vital to the Jews because that s exactly
what they were fleeing from in their old countries. How could someone enjoy life if the things
they loved to do had to be done in secrecy or else they would be prosecuted, that s exactly what
the jews were trying to find; a country that would allow them to be who they are. The last minor
push factor was that their weren t many shuls and this was a problem because depending on where
you lived it could be hard to get to one. This was later fixed when the Jewish population increased

Essay on Healthcare for Illegal Aliens
Everyday people are sent to the hospital. Not only are they in fear of losing their life but also in
fear of being in debt due to the prices of health care treatment they need. But what if this patient
happens to be an illegal alien? What if the patient has a foreign illness that needs to be cured so
it does not spread? Is it morally correct to deny this person treatment because he or she lacks
citizenship or a valid visa? Or should illegal aliens be treated just like any other patients by having
a right to health care?
Throughout the past decade restrictions on eligibility for taxpayer subsidized medical care has

acts that have been ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But amazingly, the flow of foreign born is so large that immigrants currently account for a larger
share of labor force growth than natives ( U.S. Immigration and Economic Growth: Putting Policy
on Hold , 2003) When you do the math, it makes a good deal of sense to spend the little that we
do if not more to keep them healthy (Karvounis, 2007). Care for undocumented immigrants
represents a tiny fraction of the nation s health care burden. They receive minimal care; some pay
taxes. Between one half and three quarters of undocumented immigrants pay taxes and some work
off the books jobs as well (What Immigration Reform Could Mean To The US Economy, 2009).
Illegal aliens provide as much as 7 billion dollars a year to the Social Security Fund although they
cannot claim benefits for this program (Immigrants Economic Contribution, 2009). Further still,
undocumented workers pay sales taxes where applicable and property taxes directly if they own
and indirectly if they rent ( Undocumented Immigrants as Taxpayers , 2007).
According to the Federation for American Immigration Reform (a non profit group that opposes
illegal immigration), the cost of treating illegal aliens amounted to nearly $11 billion in 2009.
However, the HRI (Health Research Institute) reported that the government spent approximately
$2.2 trillion on United States citizens in 2009. Although there are more citizens in the country than
illegal aliens, the amount of money spent on illegal aliens appear

Legacy Admissions Advantages
In the United States a system of legacy admissions has existed for a long time. Although there are
many admission advantages such as standardized test scores, academics, or family history, legacy
admissions is the most common form of advantage. Every year students with low grades and less
impressive resumes, compared to other applicants, find a way to get in just by relation to a
previous graduate. Routinely, both public and private universities give preferential treatment to
children of alumni which gives even more advantage to the already advantaged. Legacy preferences
clearly violate the basic notions of fairness and equity, that should exist when applying for a
university, and needs to be eliminated from collegeadmissions. Within institutes of higher
education legacy status is valued mainly for economic and community building reasons. Colleges
have the belief that by admitting children of alumni, those alumni are more likely to stay involved
with the school and donate money. Elite colleges often defend legacy admissions as necessary
system for fund raising. It is also believed within university admissions that legacies will become
very active alumni due to their family connection with the school. In essence, colleges admit
legacies as a way to not only keep their alumni involved, but to also ensure a new... Show more

In fact, several colleges and universities that do not employ legacy preferences, continue to do
extremely well financially. Berea College, in Kentucky, favors low income students, not alumni,

which use legacy preference. Cooper Union, in New York City, which also does not provide legacy
preference receives money in donations larger than that of Bucknell, Haverford, and

The Horse After The Kentucky Derby By Heidi Van De Motter
From Track to Triumph
Do you ever wonder what happens to the horses after the Kentucky Derby? Some retire peacefully
after a life on the track, some are rehomed but many are sold to slaughter for the sake of a
paycheck. Luckily, there are activists in the equestrian world standing ready to take these in these
helpless athletes. Gallop On, a non profit thoroughbred rescue located in northern Ohio, was
founded to do just that.
Heidi Van De Motter, the owner of Gallop On, currently has 15 horses in her care. Her goal is to
have them retrained and sold for the use of another sport.
Thousands of Thoroughbred racehorses will have only a three to four year racing career if any at
all. There may be no future for them at all and possibly slaughter. Van De Motter said.
Horses are trained by Heidi s interns in basic dressage and jumping, very different from their past
of galloping counter clockwise around a racetrack. Thoroughbreds have acquired a false stigma,
similar to that of pitbull dogs, making them difficult to home. The thoroughbred is a flighty breed,
they are designed to be fast and agile. These biological tendencies are reinforced after race training
when they are taught only to gallop as fast as possible.
Very few people invest money in the training of their retired racehorses. That puts them at an
extreme disadvantage in the sport horse world. Steuart Pittman, president of the Retired Racehorse
Project, said.
The jockeys and handlers are experienced with this

Recruiting Violations in College Sports Essay
Sports are extremely popular around the world and only get more popular as time goes on.
Sports is on television (TV), in the news, in the newspaper, and online. It only makes sense that
this is the case. A sporting event is the ultimate drama. The variability of a game is what gets
people so into it. Sports can tell a story, and teach great life lessons as well as inspire people. If
sports are that important to the people around the world who watch it, just think about how
important sports are to the ones who actually play it and coachit. It is their passion, their persona,
their life. With the media s harsh expectations of teams today, unless a team wins a championship,
they are deemed unsuccessful. Since expectations are so high,... Show more content on

In their effort to compete with other programs, coaches push the boundaries of recruiting. This is a
huge problem in college sports that desperately needs fixing. For this problem, the National
Collegiate Athletic Association(NCAA) has set strictly enforced rules for behavior like this. It is
a very complex, broad set of rules. The purpose of these rules is simple. These rules are meant to
encourage fair recruiting and too discourage offering incentives to collegiate athletes. Recruiting
laws in the NCAA are very particular. Every program follows the same set of rules, however the
rules vary slightly from sport to sport. First of all, besides monitoring what the coach offers an
athlete, the NCAA monitors the amount/content of contact with athletes. Contacts with athletes
are monitored by the NCAA heavily. A contact by definition is when a coach has any face to
face contact with an athlete or an athlete s parents on or off a college s campus and says more
than hello. A contact also occurs if a coach has any contact with an athlete or an athlete s parents
at that athlete s high school or anywhere the athlete is practicing or competing. To give the athlete
some space and to organize all contact, the NCAA has a contact period. A contact period is a time
period where a college coach may have in person contact with an athlete and their parents on or off
the college s campus. The coach may also watch the athlete play or visit the

Love For The First Time
When you fall in love for the first time you think you are high in the sky (and no, not in that
way). Everything is beautiful, colorful, and perfect; at least that s how I felt. When I had my
first boyfriend, I felt free and careless, There weren t bad days and I felt complete because he was
by my side. Finally, someone understood my bad jokes and weird sense of humor. It was the best
timeof my life, and after a long time, I felt happy. I know it sounds clichГ©, but that s how stupidly
happy lovecan make you.
We have met for six years, he was in the same school as me and he later confesses to me 3
months after our graduation. Well, I push him a little bit, because he was afraid that I would reject
him or that it would ruin our friendship, but I told him that I felt the same way, and since then we
were together for two years as an official couple.
Unfortunately, it didn t last long. He had a friend who spent a lot of time with him, and I guess
that little by little he started to get feelings for her, he did the right thing and told me about it
before he could cheat on me. We end up on good terms and till this day we talk to each other as
good friends because either way our relationship at that point (last few months) felt empty and it
was like we got bored of each other, we realized that what we felt was not love in a romantic way,
but as friends. We care for each other because we ve known for six years. I had to admit that he
hurt me at first and I was blind with anger

  • 2. Fifth Business Parent Child Relationship Quotes The novel, Fifth Business, written by Robertson Davies includes various aspects of parent/child relationships and the negative impacts they can have once an individual reaches adulthood. The relationships that the three Deptford boys shared with their parents greatly impacted not only the careers the three boys pursued, with Dunstan Ramsay becoming a hagiographer, Paul Dempster becoming an illusionist, and Percy Staunton becoming a successful businessman, but also had an impact on their spiritual individuation as well. As a child, Dunstan was raised by his stern Scottish Presbyterian mother, which caused him to feel immense guilt throughout his life as well as repress undesired emotions. An event that impacted his life greatly was Mary Dempster s... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is evident when Dunstan was not particularly distraught after he was informed of his parents deaths after the war. As a child, Dunstan became quite fascinated by saints, an interest which eventually lead to him becoming an avid hagiographer despite his Presbyterian upbringing. Upon returning from the war, he had changed his name from Dunstable to Dunstan, an ode to St. Dunstan, which contributed to Ramsay s individuation. Dunstan Ramsay further achieved individuation with the help of Liselotte Vitzliputzli, who contributes to his psychological, spiritual, and individual development. Dunstan had allowed his ego to overpower his shadow, which resulted in him living as an overly cautious individual and not living life to its fullest. In his room in Mexico City, Liesl confronted Dunstan with his true nature and forced him to understand himself. She used Fifth Business as a metaphor for explaining Ramsay to himself, and it was not until this moment that Dunstan carried this role out knowingly, such as when he revealed the secret of the snowball and the keeping of the stone to Staunton and Eisengrim (Monk, 34 5). Towards the end of the novel, it is clear that Dunstan reached individuation by stating, Dunstan Ramsay counselled against revelation, but Fifth Business would not hear (Davies, 263), as well as Fifth Business insisted on being heard again (Davies, 264). Both these quotations occurred when Dunstan Ramsay overcame his ego and shadow, when acknowledging the secret of the snowball over fifty years after the incident had taken place. It is important to acknowledge Dunstan s use of third person when speaking. This indicates that although he acts as Fifth Business, he is still also his human self (Monk, ... • 3. Hospital And Ambulatory Care Case Study Hospitals and Ambulatory Care 1) The traditional management style of hospitals have been hierarchical and internally focused. What are the three important challenges that hospitals face to accommodate new payers and consumer expectations? These hospitals are using the manual approach of relating with consumers as will as payers. Remittance to providers and disburse paper checks is prone to errors, costly and time consuming. It is required of payers to adopt the standardized electronic healthcare transactions according to the regulatory mandates. Electronic funds transfer (RFT) and Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) are the recommended digital healthcare transactions that would reconcile the crisis at hand and reduce the administrative costs. While the digital migration is implemented in the healthcare system, payers, health providers and consumers are faced with the challenge of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... What were some problems with the peer review process in judging the quality of hospital medical care? Conflict of interests is a common problem associated with peer review process, which is contributed to by the internal politics. Economic competition and partner relationships also contribute to conflicts of interests because of the big focus on facts while ignoring the personal feelings and biases. Criticizing colleagues and eventually censuring the friends is a big challenge among doctors. This is because the process involves a lot of work which goes uncompensated. In addition, the process consumes time meant for attending to patients, leading to worse and substandard care. 3) Almost two thirds of all surgical procedures are now performed in ambulatory surgery facilities. Discuss the reasons for this shift of surgery from the inpatient setting and its effect on hospitals and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Access Controls Provide A Mechanism Introduction Access Controls provide a mechanism, which allows an administrator to ensure that appropriate techniques are in place to control how users interact with an IT system. It provides an avenue where restrictions can be developed, specifying what a user can do, the resources they can access, and the functions they can execute on a system. It is aligned with the three main security principles; confidentiality, integrity and availability. This alignment ensures that data and resources within an IT system will remain confidential as required, the structure will remain intact and these objects will remain available, so as not to diminish the functionality of the system. Access controls that are incorporated into a security plan are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One of the difficulties in managing this access arises from the need to provide a variety of user s access, each requiring a different type of access to the system. For the sake of security, the need to manage this access should be defined by one or more of the following frameworks; Role Based Access Control (RBAC), Discretionary Access Controls (DAC), Mandatory Access Control (MAC), and Mandatory Access Control (MAC). Statement of Purpose The current state of the organization s access control management system is consistent with that of the DAC model. A recent move to outsource certain business practices and continued organizational growth has created an environment where increases in employee hiring s and employee turnover are inevitable. An analysis of various methods of access control has been requested, so that we can better understand how specific access control attacks are perpetrated and their origin. Information will be collected and then analyzed in order to substantiate any recommended changes to the current access control configurations. RBAC, DAC, and MAC will be compared and contrasted, in order to gain insight, as to how each plays a role in reducing the risk to a system, along with identifying the strengths and weaknesses of each. These results, along with a detailed recommendation will be presented to executive management, in order to generate the necessary support for altering the current program ... • 5. The Conflict Between Social Morality Towards Child Labor... This poem addresses the conflict between social morality towards child labor and the realization that the elite have influenced societies ways. As the original speaker in the poem sees something black in the snow and approaches the object, it turns out to be a young chimneysweeper crying all alone. Once the speaker has approached the cries, the poem then transitions to a different speaker who is the young chimneysweeper expressing their perception towards their situation, which is being involved in child labor and how the sweepers parents along with a prominent source such as God, Priest Kings (12). bypass the morality of forced labor on the young. In the first quatrain stanza it introduces dialogue between the original speaker and the sweeper. You can see there is dialogue approaching because of the punctuations and quotations used within the stanza. Not only does the punctuation give the reader the idea that another person is involved, but the traditional rhyme schemeAA, BB in the first stanza makes the conversation flow smoothly. The first stanza is the only stanza with rhyming couplets that pairs the two speakers together identifying that both lines back to back is the same person speaking. A little black thing among the snow / Crying weep, weep, in notes of woe! (1 2). The first two lines show the rhyming coupletas the same speaker. • 6. Literature Review On Visual Art Education This literature review is concerned with the effective and engaging way to deliver visual art lesson to students. This is a significant educational topic because research suggests that students engagement in the classroom has been distinguished as the important indicator for students academic success (Harbour, Evanovich, Sweigart, Hughes, 2015). Errey and Wood (2011) also suggest that the higher the level of students engagement will result in a better learning outcome. However, many students have fallen in the category of disengage during their classroom practice, which also includes art classroom. The existing literature on visual art educationproven that many students in art classroom claimed that they were bored and showed resistance in their art classes (Pennisi, 2013), they were also not as enthusiastic about their art project as the teacher (Andrews, 2010). So, the purpose of this literature review is to discuss several approaches for teachers to effectively deliver art education in the classroom. The existing literature on visual art education proven that there is little evidence of how teaching practice happens in the classroom (Mitchell, 2016). Mitchell (2016) also argues that although there are several types of research that provide the important information on the foundation of art educations, there is barely any information that proves how learning effectively occurs in the art education. This approach might include building a positive relationship (Keeffe, Lovejoy, Spenser Jones, Prain, 2013), the usage of technology in the classroom (Patton Buffington, 2016), applying student centered learning (Andrews, 2010). Student centered Learning It has been discussed that teacher needs to move away from teacher centered learning and using student centered learning instead. In this way, instead of being the commander in the classroom, teacher act as the facilitator and the guide for students, in which helping students in reaching their desired art projects. It is also necessary for visual art classroom to provide a condition where different students develop their own potential abilities (Tomljenovic, 2015). This condition could be achieved by using student centered teaching strategies, which ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Dress Codes In School Teens are already restricted on what they can and cannot do on school grounds like what we eat, what classes we take, and what activities we can be in. How we dress should not be one of those reasons. We have a right to what we wear on a day to day basis. I m not saying that we should all be able to dress half naked, but we need to dress how we like. There should be no dress codes because the dress codes are sexest, we need to show our originality, and kids should not have to be taken out of school because their outfit is inappropriate. In schools, they usually just talk to the girls about dress codes. Saying no shoulders showing and our skirts have to be a certain length. Guys on the other hand get away with wearing tank tops to school everyday. Maybe the problem we have isn t the girls accidentally showing a little shoulder here and there, but how the guys think. We go to school for learning, not to be told what and what not to wear. School districts are over exaggerating this problem. We are a new generation and they need to be ok with how we dress and act. We shouldn t come to school half naked, but we should have a right to wear what we like and not have teachers or other students judging us. • 8. Judicial Tyranny The New Kings Of America The book Judicial Tyranny The New Kings of America? is a compilation of articles and speeches. It is compiled by Mark Sutherland and includes writings from famed Christian personality James C. Dobson Chief Justice Roy Moore, Ambassador Alan Keyes, U.s Attorney General Ed Meese, among others. The book is a call to political action. It is aimed at Christian readers and the writers all argue that Christian politics equals constitutional purism. It is specifically meant to invoke constitutional responses and activism. Each chapter, twenty in all, are a few pages long and systematically decry the current judicial system and explain the lack of constitutional basis for their current level of power. The book s primary source of inspiration seems to be the lawsuit involving Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore. The case was highly publicized and Moore s refusal to carry out the ultimate ruling led to his removal from office. Chief Justice Moore was removed from office in which a majority of citizens of Alabama elected him to serve for acknowledging God with the placement of a monument that contains the Ten Commandments and for refusing to remove that monument. The majority of the writers in Judicial Tyranny reference his case extensively and an excerpt from Roy Moore s book ( So Help Me God, 2005) appears as Chapter seven in Judicial Tyranny. The remainder of the book does do an admittedly excellent job of weaving historical quotes and happenings into all of the writings so that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Most of these solutions, however, exhibit the disadvantage that they either require a modification of the underlying operating system/kernel or a rooted device. In the traditional case, the device being used by the employee is provided by the company and IT officials of the enterprise can make the necessary modifications to the device kernel and Operating System (OS), to enforce that the required enterprise policies cannot be bypassed by employees. For instance, the enterprise could certify a certain OS configuration and guarantee the correct execution of binaries. But modifying the OS of an employee device is not an appealing solution since it prevents employees from installing updates on their devices, and it requires the consent of the employee. Moreover, in BYOD scenarios, these solutions cannot be deployed. This stems from the fact that given the device does not belong to the enterprise, the latter does not have any justification in modifying the underlying ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Kennedy said, War will exist until that distant day when the conscientious objector enjoys the same reputation and prestige that the warrior does today. The idea that a soldier would refuse to participate in war due to their moral and conscience beliefs shows how they can overcome the norm and stand up for their beliefs. Until watching the movie Soldiers of Conscience I was unaware that a soldiercould break their contract with the government to follow their own personal views. Although this is a difficult and tedious procedure if a soldier is found to be a conscientious objector they will be dismissed from the Army with dishonorable discharge. To become a conscientious objector, the soldier must fill out an application and be interviewed by a psychiatrist, chaplain, and investigating officer. This process takes a long time and requires that the soldier has a strong belief in not participating in war. Yet few realize that the foundations of this celebration maybe traced on a series of bloody and violent events, which occur more than two thousand years ago. At that time, Judea was a minor providence under the iron fist of a despotic emperor. His relentless obsession to diminish and humiliate the Jewish religion would ignite a holy war. Antiochus persecution would have being resisted by faithful Jews, the once who keep up their traditions. Besides the religious motives, this opposition was also based on other social reasons: supporters of Hellenism were mostly members of the wealthy classes: priests and nobles of Jerusalem, therefore, when Jerusalem became a polis, in other words, a Hellenistic city or a city state in ancient Greece, citizens no longer depended on being part of the same people through circumcision practices, or observed the Sabbath and other laws of the Torah, but a criterion of income and social position was introduced instead. This created a discontent in the middle and lower class of the people. In these times of religious decay, a great military leader arose to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A Tale of Two Cities, written by Charles Dickens in 1859, is considered to be one of the darkest of the major books that he wrote. The novel is considered dark because its takes place in England and France before and throughout the French Revolution. The French Revolution was a ten year revolt of the peasants against the nobles that resulted in the deaths of tens of thousands of people. The peasants have changed the laws since the French Revolution started, which is very hypocritical considering one of the reasons for the war was to fight for justice against the nobles unjust court system, and now they are doing the exact same thing to the nobles, even the innocent ones, for revenge. An officer immediately jails Charles Darnay, an honorable man, into solitary confinement in a prison named La Force because he is accused of being an emigrant. When the officer asserts, Without doubt. You are consigned, Evremonde, to the prison of La Force (195), Darnay exclaims, Under what law, and for what offence? showing the unexpectedness of his imprisonment. In this novel, emigrants are nobles who have fled from their homes, and though Darnay denounced his family name years before, he belongs to the Evremonde family, and therefore, must die. During the French Revolution, the peasants commonly made vulgar jokes about the Guillotine, which was a new weapon used to behead its victims. The local governments within their offices do most of the work in locating the parent, establishing paternity, enforcement of child support, and modification of support. If a child support order is not followed the local governments begin the searching process. Several tactics have been put into place to track down deadbeats parents within the last few years. These proteomes vary from cell to cell, as the function of each group of cells is different. Proteomics refers to the study of protein structure, function, and interaction within a certain environment in an organism. The purpose of this experiment is to perform a procedure known as SDS PAGE (sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis) in order to determine protein profiles for seven fish species: Yellow Tuna (Thunnus albacares), Thresher Shark (Alopias vulpinus), Paiche (Arapaima gigas), Swordfish (Xiphias gladius), Catfish (Ameiurus catus), Coho Salmon (Oncorhynchus kisutch), and Rainbow Trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss). I personally was drawn in by the horrific stories of violence, kidnapping, and mass murders of deadly encounters, and fascinated by learning how the state planned and responded. Author Nathan Jones, is able to illustrate why Mexican drug cartels have been able to prolong existence while under attack by Mexico and the United States. He is able to do so by examining and comparing two types of illicit drug networks and how they provoke different state reactions based on their business strategy. Jones relates his discoveries to the Arellano Felix Organization because it was one of the first Mexican cartel to be targeted by the state and split along trafficking oriented and territorial lines [where] one survived and one did not (p. 12). This read is significant because it allows for the government to better distinguish between drug networks that will withstand the test of time, and those that will crumble under pressure. Jones utilizes his findings and applied it to the novel, and the current drug prohibition program. Jones applied a combination of various fieldwork methods in order to gather the data displayed in the book. He states how in addition to extensively researching archival court documents, media and government reports, [he] conducted an academic year of fieldwork in Mexico City and Tijuana while building [his] historical ... • 36. The Impact Of Overfishing On The Environmental Balance As far back as the history of man, humans have been dependent on the ocean and water resources for food and survival. While hundreds of years of single handed fishing rods in coastal and inland water channels have not alone been the root cause of overfishing, these common practices today still impact the environmental balance. Ocean overfishing is the removal or taking of wildlife from the oceans and seas at rates too high for fished species to replace themselves and is a threat that exists to our way of life. Overfishing can occur by commercial fishing, single person excessive fishing in a particular area of a body of water, or by other natural predatory activity. A recent report by scientists said that if commercial fishspecies the fish caught for food continue to decline at the current rate, by the year 2048 most commercial fish species will be in danger of never recovering because of the break in the natural ecosystem which would affect the diversity of wildlife in the ocean (Kurlansky, 2011). They have had a significant impact on people in the past, because they were able to show the political views of the author in a simple, and easy to understand way. Cartoons can shed light onto unknown problems as well as affect people s opinions on controversial issues. In the cartoons, men are portrayed as animals to show they were acting savagely, or cartoons were set in already known stories so that they could compare the similarities. Just because the images are simplified does not mean that their effects are any less important. Their problems include: the indecency of racial suffrage, the disparity in leadership, and the overshadowing of suffering. Cartoons are often drawn around events that the audience would recognize. For instance, the story of Sampson, in which he kept his power so long as he did not cut his hair. When Delilah, his wife and the person he trusted most, cut off his hair, he lost all of his power. This evening was just like any other day because since I was small my dad had taken me with him on many of his hunting adventures. We gathered all of our needed gear such as the cross bow, the mono pod, and our cushioned seats. Then we set off, leaving our comfort of home for a relaxing evening together. I was hoping to get a chance at an elusive black bear. Unknowingly, this day became one of the most memorable days in my life, for a small brown haired reason. The wind was weaving its way harmoniously through the treetops at sunset. It created a mystifying ambiance within the forest. The sun was gleaming through the tree branches, leaving its last little slivers of warmth before dropping down below the hills for its lingering night s sleep. It almost seemed like a picturesque dream all together with the hushed silence. After conversing about all of our potential hunting spots, we decided to go up the steep knob where we had seen black bear sign before. We found a cozy spot right in front of an elongated stump. It was humid that evening. When we finally had reached our desired area, we were warmer than the black top on a hot summer s day. We took a few heavy layers off before we sat down. This turned out great because it provided some much needed extra padding. After we got settled in, we prepared for the certain places we suspected a bear would come from. • 42. Shakespeare s Most Famous Soliloquy With A Mark Of Their... Actors interpret Shakespeare s most famous soliloquy with a mark of their own artistry. In films and on stage, actors who play Hamlet exhibit various degrees of emotion and pacing speed. It is difficult to evaluate the soliloquy on its own because the way the play is performed in its entirety gives meaning to the soliloquy while the soliloquy also illuminates a special interpretation in the play. However, I argue that the soliloquy has a musical structure a sonata form, specifically that can serve as a framework under which performances can be analyzed. Even though they were viewed discretely from their entire play, there are performances of the soliloquy that may be considered more effective than others under the framework examined under the sonata form. The sonata form usually has three main parts: the exposition, the development, and the recapitulation. In the exposition, the composer introduces a theme that will set the groundwork for the entire work. Once the theme is introduced, it is often played in a different key but in a parallel structure. Hamlet s soliloquy begins with the theme of the uncertainty of death: To be or not to be, that is the question. The rest of the soliloquy expands on this central theme as it clearly sets the groundwork for Hamlet s internal struggle. A repeat of this theme is heard when Hamlet speaks, To die: to sleep; No more. Now instead of considering the difficulties and possibly the nobler act of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

For this reason, I believe Cisneros has had a lot of influence and success in the status of minority writers, especially in the canon of what is read and taught in schools today. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In other words, Esperanza comes to understand that identity is very much beyond where one s house is located. It may even be connected to art. In examining these profound themes, Cisneros has been able to achieve a significant amount of influence and success in the role and status of minority writers. As stated previously, Cisneros style in The House on Mango Street suggests to us that liberation can be achieved through an art form, rather than physically picking up and moving your residence. Esperanza overcomes her condition by creating the realm of literature, rather than the physical reality of another house in another time and place. In this way, she is able to distance herself from her community and family. But all the while, still holding on to her heritage and ethnicity. By affirming her own artistic ability, Esperanza is able to blend all of her dreams. Not only are they in fear of losing their life but also in fear of being in debt due to the prices of health care treatment they need. But what if this patient happens to be an illegal alien? What if the patient has a foreign illness that needs to be cured so it does not spread? Is it morally correct to deny this person treatment because he or she lacks citizenship or a valid visa? Or should illegal aliens be treated just like any other patients by having a right to health care? Throughout the past decade restrictions on eligibility for taxpayer subsidized medical care has risen at both the state and national level. Some of these restrictions are based on laws and reform acts that have been ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... But amazingly, the flow of foreign born is so large that immigrants currently account for a larger share of labor force growth than natives ( U.S. Immigration and Economic Growth: Putting Policy on Hold , 2003) When you do the math, it makes a good deal of sense to spend the little that we do if not more to keep them healthy (Karvounis, 2007). Care for undocumented immigrants represents a tiny fraction of the nation s health care burden. They receive minimal care; some pay taxes. Between one half and three quarters of undocumented immigrants pay taxes and some work off the books jobs as well (What Immigration Reform Could Mean To The US Economy, 2009). Illegal aliens provide as much as 7 billion dollars a year to the Social Security Fund although they cannot claim benefits for this program (Immigrants Economic Contribution, 2009). Further still, undocumented workers pay sales taxes where applicable and property taxes directly if they own and indirectly if they rent ( Undocumented Immigrants as Taxpayers , 2007). According to the Federation for American Immigration Reform (a non profit group that opposes illegal immigration), the cost of treating illegal aliens amounted to nearly $11 billion in 2009. However, the HRI (Health Research Institute) reported that the government spent approximately $2.2 trillion on United States citizens in 2009. Although there are more citizens in the country than illegal aliens, the amount of money spent on illegal aliens appear ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 51. Legacy Admissions Advantages In the United States a system of legacy admissions has existed for a long time. Although there are many admission advantages such as standardized test scores, academics, or family history, legacy admissions is the most common form of advantage. Every year students with low grades and less impressive resumes, compared to other applicants, find a way to get in just by relation to a previous graduate. Routinely, both public and private universities give preferential treatment to children of alumni which gives even more advantage to the already advantaged. Legacy preferences clearly violate the basic notions of fairness and equity, that should exist when applying for a university, and needs to be eliminated from collegeadmissions. Within institutes of higher education legacy status is valued mainly for economic and community building reasons. Colleges have the belief that by admitting children of alumni, those alumni are more likely to stay involved with the school and donate money. Elite colleges often defend legacy admissions as necessary system for fund raising. It is also believed within university admissions that legacies will become very active alumni due to their family connection with the school. In essence, colleges admit legacies as a way to not only keep their alumni involved, but to also ensure a new... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In fact, several colleges and universities that do not employ legacy preferences, continue to do extremely well financially. Berea College, in Kentucky, favors low income students, not alumni, yet receives more money in donations than Middlebury, Oberlin, Vassar, and Bowdoin, all of which use legacy preference. Cooper Union, in New York City, which also does not provide legacy preference receives money in donations larger than that of Bucknell, Haverford, and Davidson.(CITATION NEEDED) According to ... • 52. The Horse After The Kentucky Derby By Heidi Van De Motter From Track to Triumph Do you ever wonder what happens to the horses after the Kentucky Derby? Some retire peacefully after a life on the track, some are rehomed but many are sold to slaughter for the sake of a paycheck. Luckily, there are activists in the equestrian world standing ready to take these in these helpless athletes. Gallop On, a non profit thoroughbred rescue located in northern Ohio, was founded to do just that. Heidi Van De Motter, the owner of Gallop On, currently has 15 horses in her care. Her goal is to have them retrained and sold for the use of another sport. Thousands of Thoroughbred racehorses will have only a three to four year racing career if any at all. There may be no future for them at all and possibly slaughter. Van De Motter said. Horses are trained by Heidi s interns in basic dressage and jumping, very different from their past of galloping counter clockwise around a racetrack. Thoroughbreds have acquired a false stigma, similar to that of pitbull dogs, making them difficult to home. The thoroughbred is a flighty breed, they are designed to be fast and agile. These biological tendencies are reinforced after race training when they are taught only to gallop as fast as possible. Very few people invest money in the training of their retired racehorses. That puts them at an extreme disadvantage in the sport horse world. Steuart Pittman, president of the Retired Racehorse Project, said. The jockeys and handlers are experienced with this ... • 53. Recruiting Violations in College Sports Essay Sports are extremely popular around the world and only get more popular as time goes on. Sports is on television (TV), in the news, in the newspaper, and online. It only makes sense that this is the case. A sporting event is the ultimate drama. The variability of a game is what gets people so into it. Sports can tell a story, and teach great life lessons as well as inspire people. If sports are that important to the people around the world who watch it, just think about how important sports are to the ones who actually play it and coachit. It is their passion, their persona, their life. With the media s harsh expectations of teams today, unless a team wins a championship, they are deemed unsuccessful. Since expectations are so high,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In their effort to compete with other programs, coaches push the boundaries of recruiting. This is a huge problem in college sports that desperately needs fixing. For this problem, the National Collegiate Athletic Association(NCAA) has set strictly enforced rules for behavior like this. It is a very complex, broad set of rules. The purpose of these rules is simple. These rules are meant to encourage fair recruiting and too discourage offering incentives to collegiate athletes. Recruiting laws in the NCAA are very particular. Every program follows the same set of rules, however the rules vary slightly from sport to sport. First of all, besides monitoring what the coach offers an athlete, the NCAA monitors the amount/content of contact with athletes. Contacts with athletes are monitored by the NCAA heavily. A contact by definition is when a coach has any face to face contact with an athlete or an athlete s parents on or off a college s campus and says more than hello. A contact also occurs if a coach has any contact with an athlete or an athlete s parents at that athlete s high school or anywhere the athlete is practicing or competing. To give the athlete some space and to organize all contact, the NCAA has a contact period. A contact period is a time period where a college coach may have in person contact with an athlete and their parents on or off the college s campus. The coach may also watch the athlete play or visit the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 54. Love For The First Time When you fall in love for the first time you think you are high in the sky (and no, not in that way). Everything is beautiful, colorful, and perfect; at least that s how I felt. When I had my first boyfriend, I felt free and careless, There weren t bad days and I felt complete because he was by my side. Finally, someone understood my bad jokes and weird sense of humor. It was the best timeof my life, and after a long time, I felt happy. I know it sounds clichГ©, but that s how stupidly happy lovecan make you. We have met for six years, he was in the same school as me and he later confesses to me 3 months after our graduation. Well, I push him a little bit, because he was afraid that I would reject him or that it would ruin our friendship, but I told him that I felt the same way, and since then we were together for two years as an official couple. Unfortunately, it didn t last long. He had a friend who spent a lot of time with him, and I guess that little by little he started to get feelings for her, he did the right thing and told me about it before he could cheat on me. We end up on good terms and till this day we talk to each other as good friends because either way our relationship at that point (last few months) felt empty and it was like we got bored of each other, we realized that what we felt was not love in a romantic way, but as friends. We care for each other because we ve known for six years. I had to admit that he hurt me at first and I was blind with anger ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
