MESSAGE
Every school has desire or vision towards the better future of
our young learners. And schools can only be enduring difference when they
focus on specific targets and strategies for change. The Department of
Education provided some programs and projects that will cater all the needs
of school. School Improvement Plan is one of it. School Improvement
Planning is a reflective process through which schools set goals for
improvement, and make decisions about how and when these goals will be
achieved or attained. The ultimate goal of this process is to improve pupils’
achievement level by enhancing the way curriculum is delivered, by making
a positive environment for learning and by sustaining and developing the
degree to which parents are involved in their children’s learning at school
and at home.
School Improvement Planning also guides the school’s mission for
continuously accommodates and delivers quality education to its Filipino-
Samarnon Learners. And the basis for the formulation of the School
Improvement Plan is Republic Act 9155 also known as the” Governance of
Basic Education Act of 2001”. The SIP must be a collaborative work of
School Planning Team which includes yours truly, the school head, SBM
Coordinator, pupil’s representative, parent’s representative, teacher’s
representative and the LGU representatives of Barangay Tigdaranao
Council. And we all know that SIP serves as a road map as to where the
school is working for the next three years.
The School head has the great role in making this development plan
into a success.
The Plan consist analysis of the situation of the school. The School
Improvement Plan aims to provide guidance to the school head especially
the School Planning Team on the priority task to be done in order to achieve
its objectives. And SIP lays out the different hurdles or PIAs the school need
to jump over. It also presents the root causes of such problems and the
objectives to solve them. Lastly SIP must present detailed plan on how to
address the PIAs for the better improvement of ones’ school.
