BRIGADA ESKWELA 2023 KICK-OFF CEREMONY
July 22, 2024
The “Brigada Eskwela” is a DepEd initiative under the Adopt-A-School Program that
calls for the “engagement and collaboration” of various personnel and stakeholders,
such as, but not limited to students, teachers, school officials, private individuals, parents,
community members, local government officials, non- government organizations,
religious groups, and other private sector for school readiness in the opening of classes.
When Publilius Syrus once said “Where there is unity there is always victory” as the
theme of Brigada Eskwela SY 2024-2025 “Bayanihan para sa Matatag na Paaralan. Brigada
Eskwela brings the spirit and essence of true Filipino values which is “Bayanihan” which means
communal unity, helping others without expecting rewards and to achieve a certain goal.
We can achieve success by working together that leads to have a better outcome where it is
beneficial to our school community and most especially to our learners. Through the essence
of bayanihan it mobilizes and brings together stakeholders, teachers, parents, and individual
who volunteer their time and effort to do some classroom repairs and clean-up, maintenance
work, and any other task that could contribute to improved school’s facilities, surroundings for
the preparation for the opening of classes that towards a better learning environment.
To facilitate the opening of the Brigada
Eskwela, Kamsahamnida National High School
prepared a simple program. It started at 8:00
in the morning with all the presence of all the school
personnel, stakeholders and volunteers who
attended. It is followed by singing of the
National Anthem conducted by Ma’am ________ and a
prayer lead by Ma’am _________. Brigada Eskwela
Coordinator Ma’am ___________ gave her message
concerning Brigada Eskwela. She discussed a brief
background, its goals and why we were conducting
it annually, by this stakeholders and volunteers be able
to understand more the importance of the said
activity. After which, Ma’am _____________ lead
the presentation of volunteers, one way of
welcoming and acknowledging them to the said
activity.
An encouraging message was given by the Barangay Captain ________ and PTA
President _________, both highlighted one goal to continue giving fully support Kamsahamnida
National High School for the young generation. After that pledge of commitment of volunteers
were given to all Barangay Council, PTA, Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program (4p’s) members,
parents, and AIS personnel.

The last part of the program was the implementation of the Brigada Eskwela,
volunteers started to render their service.
Cleaning and weeding of plant boxes.
Cleaning and clearing school premises.
Everyone seemed so excited that after the program they enthusiastically rendered
their services to the school. It was a fulfilling happiness seeing volunteers sharing the same
preference which they enjoyed helping each other to achieve their goal within the day.
Overall, the said activity was indeed successful. All the people in the
community participated with willingness and had the better understanding on the true essence
of Brigada Eskwela. It is not just a picture of volunteerism but a vivid example of the Filipino
concept of unity which is for the betterment of school community and for our posterity.
The simple and short program ended at 9:00 in the morning.
