Motivation for automatic traffic control
• Many events in our network
• Hardware trouble (Simple trouble is few, it’s getting complex)
• Submarine Cable cuts
• DDoS (Recently many huge volume attack happens)
• Manual Operation is not enough
• Quick response, resources, etc.

Example: Trial of Enhanced DDoS Defense Orchestrator System

Solution?
• Intra network traffic control
• MPLS-TE (not full-automatic but external tool calculate bandwidth)
• Ingress traffic control
• BGP is one option to transfer internal network quality information to users
• Example: A user can decide which ingress point to use.
• Egress traffic control
• BGP is one option to know external network quality information from users
• Example: An IPS can decide which egress point to use.
