This document summarizes four murals presented by a group. The first mural depicts famous Malaysian actors to inspire appreciation for local artists. The second shows children running late to school based on the artist's memories. The third shows a boy reaching for coffee in a hole, representing curiosity. The fourth features a giant roadwork wizard created by Ernest Zacharevic to bridge gaps through recycling and art. The group analyzed concepts like appearance, communication, perception, and messages conveyed by each mural.
Is it possible to imagine our everyday life without culture?
Culture is an integral part of human life. The art, as a part of the culture, makes people optimistic about their future. Art can be used to help spread a message of inspiration, making people achieve great things in life. Art can be a form of communication between people, to focus on common issues for the betterment of humankind.
In addition, you can see the newspaper made by our EVS volunteer Leonardo, in which he briefly describes the culture and art in Prilep.

A little boy is reaching for a hole in the wall. He
appears to be standing on a chair and inching
himself as high as he could reach. A cup of coffee
places on the hole. The boy is curious of what are
the things inside the hole. It is probably because
of smelling of coffee from that hole, triggering his
senses. Owing to he is short, so he cannot take
the coffee. He tried to make him taller by standing
on a chair.
How artist portrays his message?
The street art of Georgetown and his wall
paintings represent characters and scenes that
celebrate the energy and playfulness of life in the
inner city. Those murals in Penang have in fact
transformed what used to be normal streets into
more unusual, lively, witty and engaging ones.
20. ‘Art is Rubbish is Art’ is the very first solo art exhibition of Ernest Zacharevic which
held at the Hin Company Bus Depot, Georgetown. It opened to the public from 19th
January till 14 February, 2014. This exhibition features thirty pieces of artworks,
comprising wall murals, painting and 3D arts.
21. By turning it into an arts and events space, Ernest
Zacharevic hopes to bridge the gap between the old
and the new Penang through his art. The free-
admissions solo art exhibition is an ambitious project
that highlights broad concepts of recycling - both
intellectual and material. Drawing from the concept
of ‘one man’s rubbish is another man’s treasure’.
