This document summarizes an art project at a Spanish public kindergarten and primary school. The project introduces students to different artistic techniques through famous paintings and music. Students explore pointillism, lines, shapes, textures and patterns to express what they feel from the music. The project's mascot, a chameleon, helps students reflect on differences and motivates them. Students create flags, titles, and maps of countries involved in the project: Spain, Italy, Poland, UK, and Turkey. The project establishes art corners in the school and includes visits from local artists. Teachers from participating countries also meet to discuss the transnational collaboration.

2. THE PROJECT
Consists in promoting in our schools the
active exploration of various techniques
of artistic expression and communication,
by introducing famous painters and their
most popular paintings and also music
that will help all children to express
themselves in ways that do not
necessarily involve words.

3. Images and music are the language of the
psyche: young children enjoyed “painting”
different melodies, their colours, vibrations and
sensations:
• First, they feel the music
• Then, we move with the music
• Finally, we try to paint the music
with different techniques and styles:
Pointillism, lines, shapes, strange
signs, textures and patterns, etc

7. In this project Little Chameleon Mascot, the
characteristic figure, helps the pupils to
reflect on the importance of differences, on
different ways of doing art and also it is a way
of motivating them.
