This document provides information about a community service initiative at Ti-Ratana Welfare Society located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It identifies issues with the living conditions and lack of activities for elderly women at the shelter home. The proposed solution is to create a portable and demountable exercise chair using recycled materials like wood pallets and steel pipes. The chair would encourage light exercise and social interaction among the elderly to address issues like boredom, isolation and physical and mental health problems. The goal is to design a low-cost and environmentally friendly solution to promote health and well-being for the elderly residents.
