All types of pollution negatively impact animal health and can cause discomfort, disease, and death. Air pollution damages the environment and living things through acid rain, algal blooms caused by nitrogen pollution, ozone formation, and particulate matter. It also contributes to climate change. Water pollution harms animals through contaminated water and toxic algal blooms. Noise pollution disrupts marine animals' communication and navigation. Soil pollution reduces plants and nutrients, impacting animals. Radioactive, thermal, and light pollution also damage the environment and animal life. Reducing all pollution types could significantly help animals but current efforts are insufficient as pollution and climate change continue to grow globally.
