On February 16, 2017, Kris Van Nieuwenhove, Pharma Services en OpEx Consultant at Pauwels Consulting, gave an interesting and amusing presentation about the basics of Operational Excellence at our office in Diegem.
In his presentation, Kris covered basic concepts and definitions of Operational Excellence, and he told us about the daily applicatoin of OpEx tools and methodologies such as Lean, 6-sigma, Value Stream Mapping and 5S.
This presentation introduces some of the most common reasons why organizations choose to adopt Agile approaches. It presents high level statistics on software development project success to demonstrate why the traditional project management approach may not be suitable for all projects. The presentation introduces what Agile is and the reasons justifying its adoption. Once the Agile concepts have been presented, the material introduces the Scrum approach by giving a walk through of a typical process. The presentation ends with the main impacts on people managers within organizations who are adopting Agile.
One of the greatest challenges organisations face today is to continuously evolve their products and services and the processes that underpin them. The emergence of digital tools and methodologies for unlocking operational efficiency and elevating the customer experience has radically changed the steps we need to take to achieve operational excellence.
A fresh approach to improvement is needed. For many organisations the goal is the same: enabling agility, designing better and faster processes and uplifting the customer experience. However, legacy operating models, customary ways of working and siloed approaches to operational improvement often act as a barrier. Put simply, existing methods need to evolve.
As the business landscape shifts, it’s imperative that organisations adopt an enduring, integrated and future-proofed approach to operational improvement which becomes part of ‘the way we do things around here’.

De Koninklijke Bibliotheek en het Nationaal Archief waren de eerste Nederlandse erfgoedinstellingen die een Wikipedian-in-Residence in huis hebben gehaald. Van okt 2013 t/m okt 2014 heeft deze huiswikipediaan (Hay Kranen) een brug gebouwd tussen de rijke collecties van beide instellingen en het hergebruik van deze content op Wikipedia. Tim de Haan (NA) en Olaf Janssen (KB) laten zien hoe het project o.a. de kennis, vaardigheden en bewustwording over ‘Wiki en erfgoed’ binnen en buiten de instellingsmuren heeft vergroot en hoe de content van beide instellingen wereldwijd breder toegankelijk en herbruikbaar is gemaakt. Aan het einde blikken ze kort vooruit hoe de KB en het NA ook in 2015 met Wikipedia zullen blijven samenwerken.
Olaf Janssen is GLAMwiki- en opendata-coördinator bij de Koninklijke Bibliotheek in Den Haag. Hij was de initiatiefnemer en namens de KB manager van het eerste Wikipedian-in-Residence project van Nederland. Hij was nauw betrokken bij de beginjaren van Europeana en was een van de oprichters van The European Library.
Tim de Haan werkt aan de digitale dienstverlening van het Nationaal Archief in Den Haag. Ook was hij bij het NA manager van het eerste Wikipedian-in-Residence project van Nederland. In de afgelopen jaren is hij nauw betrokken geweest bij het beschikbaar stellen van collectiedata als open data www.gahetna.nl/opendata.

For finding the difficulties and their solution , I have done the exploratory research . I went to the different organization and tried to sell the the different IT products according to their requirement and noted down their needs , demands and the question asked by them. We tried out to find the solution of the problem if they have faced. We tried to recommend them the best solution which we can provide, and we note their reaction. From this type of case analysis I tried my best way to increase the business and profit of my organization. After gone through all the cases I came to the conclusion that every company wants economical product which suits to the company’s budget, full fills all the requirements and work above the expectations.
