indicate that the identity of the noun is known to
the reader. And it particular things or persons in
case of common noun.
The indefinite article a, an is used before a noun
that is general or when its identity is not
known. There are certain situations in which a
noun takes no article.

noun with a consonant sound or any vowel
with consonant sound.

particular things or persons in case of common noun.
1.Before unique objects
eg: the sun, the moon, the sky
2.Before the names of mountains, rivers,
oceans, deserts etc….
Eg: the ganga, the pacific, the sahara
