This paper explores energy-saving opportunities in oxygen manufacturing plants, focusing on the importance of energy management and efficiency improvements in industrial gas production. It presents a case study on an 80 m³/hr oxygen plant, identifying areas for energy conservation, such as optimizing compressor and expander performance, enhancing insulation, and improving heat exchanger effectiveness. The findings indicate potential annual savings of approximately 5 lakh rupees through various modifications, ultimately reducing the cost of oxygen production.
