“Fossil fuels are the fuels formed by natural processes such as decomposition of dead and buried organisms. “ Fossil fuels are buried flammable geologic deposits of organic substances such as dead plants, and animals that got deposited under several thousand feet of silt.
These deposits decayed with the passage of time and got converted to natural gas, coal, and petroleum due to the extreme heat and pressure inside the earth’s crust. They are also known as non-renewable sources of energy as it takes a very long time for it to replenish. Types, Formation and Uses of Fossil Fuels
Fossil fuels are of the following types:
Coal
Petroleum
Natural gas
Biomass - A Crucial Renewable Energy Source if Generated CorrectlyEES Africa (Pty) Ltd
Biomass is a renewable energy source derived from biological material, such as plants, wood and farming by-products. As an energy source, it can be used directly via combustion to produce heat, or indirectly after converting it to various forms of biofuel.
Biomass energy has a dual effect, depending on where and how it is produced. If generated correctly it can be produced in ways that reduce global warming, as opposed to increasing it. It can help clean up the air, water, soil, and protect wildlife, or it can degrade lands, forests, water, and harm public health.

CFD Simulation of By-pass Flow in a HRSG module by R&R Consult.pptxR&R Consult
CFD analysis is incredibly effective at solving mysteries and improving the performance of complex systems!
Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.
It is always satisfying when we can help solve complex challenges like this. Do your systems also need a check-up or optimization? Give us a call!
Work done in cooperation with James Malloy and David Moelling from Tetra Engineering.

Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.
3. if it continues we will find
dumping yards every where
other than houses.
4. o There is a remedy through which we can
prevent that situation and at the same time
we can save our money too.
o The remedy for that situation is
reusing the wastes through
which we can make use of those
wastes and thus we can be a part of making
this world clean.
5. Especially in our country we find a lot of
power cuts during summer season , because
of unsufficient power production.
We will also observe always there is a rise in
the cost of electricity.
By using the modern technique of reusing of
wastes, we can even produce electricity.
By these methods we can produce fuel ,which
is eco friendly I,e, there would be no harm to
environment.
6. There are many techniques through which we
can reuse wastes, some of them are:
Gasification
Thermal depolymerisation(Pyrolysis)
Plasma arc gasification
Anaerobic digestion
Mechanical biological treatment
7. Don’t worry about plastic
and rubber ?
The main disadvantage of polymers are these are not degradable.
Even though polymers take many years to get degredable, there is
a process called pyrolysis , through which we can convert
polymers to useful compounds in very short period.this process follows
polymers
monomers
fuel
In pyrolysis we heat polymers at 350c in
the absence of oxygen, thus polymers are
converted to monomers on further heating
monomers get splitted and a kind of
vapour is produced which on condensation
gives fuel
8. Electricity from organic wastes :-
Organic wastes like leaves, animal fecus, and dead
animals are thrown in a pit.after some months due to
the action of organisms methane is produced.this gas
is used for domestic purposes and also to generate
electricity
9. Using this technique not only save money but
also provide a lot of employment in those
processing sector
10. Active participation of our state in
energy from wastes mission:-
Recently our state government
also supported this ENERGY
FROM WASTES concept by
permitting a swedish company
which wants to establish a
plant which produces power
from garbage. Nearly 34mv of
power is generated for every
1.5k tonnes of garbage,and the
trucks used for collecting the
garbage are run by the fuel
produced by the garbage.thus
this costs cheap
