1) Wooden frames were built for a hemp demonstration and training exercise since using frames allowed for reusability and avoided issues from weathering. 2) The frames were designed to stand freely, measured 2m by 1m, and had 400mm spacing to replicate an actual build. Horizontal battening and side panels were added for structural integrity. 3) Guide screws and wooden spacers were used to support shuttering for the hempcrete mix, which was poured and spread evenly before the shuttering was removed to reveal the finished wall.
