FET AWARE project - Self Awareness in Autonomic Systems

1) Embodied artificial evolution involves evolving physical objects and systems through processes like reproduction and natural selection, rather than just evolving digital code. 2) This could allow for the evolution of active physical entities like robots as well as passive objects. 3) There are many open challenges to achieving embodied artificial evolution, such as controlling reproduction and ensuring evolvability, but it may lead to new types of applications if these challenges can be addressed.
