An elevator is a vertical transport system that moves people or goods between floors of a building efficiently. Early elevators in the 19th century were powered by steam or humans/animals but were unsafe. In 1853, Elisha Otis invented the safety brake, demonstrating its effectiveness. Hydraulic elevators replacing steam then electric motors with cables became more common in the late 19th century. Modern elevators continue to advance with technologies like magnetic systems to transport people to ever higher skyscrapers of the future.
2. ELEVATORS
An elevator is a type of vertical trsport equipment that
efficiently moves people or goods between floors (levels,
decks) of a building, vessels, or other structure. Elevators
are generally powered by electric motors that either drive
traction cables or counterweight systems like a hoist, or
pump hydraulic fluid raise a cylindrical piston like a jack.
3. INVENTOR
In 1823, in London, Burton and Homer builded the Fourth
upword, which allowed to raise 20 people at a heigh of 37
meters.
However, this system wasn’t entirely sure until 1853, when
Elisha Graves Otis invented an emergency brakes for
elevators. Whose demostration was an success.
4. EVOLUTION
Primitive elevators were used since the third century BC,
running by power generated by humans, animals or water.
From the mid-nineteenth century, the elevators used with
the power of steam were used often for the transportation of
materials in factories and mines.
In 1846, Sir William Armstrong introduced the hydraulic
crane and in the early 1870s hydraulic machines began to
replace the steam powered elevator. The hydraulic elevator
worked with a heavy piston, moving in a cylinder, and taking
the pressure produced by water or oil pumps.
5. In 1887 an electric elevator operating with an electric
motor that powered a rotating drum on which the hoisting
rope coiled constructed.
The first elevator in the world for passenger was installed
in a department store in New York. This elevator moved
steam and it ascender 5 floors in a minute. A few years
later, was building the first skycraper.
as the years pass, elevators are more modernized.

8. ELEVATORS IN THE FUTURE
The elevators of the future will have to rise higher and
higher as the skycaper ever constructed higher and
more energy is used to transport people. That
requires many technological advancements. For now,
the best model is the magnetic elevator, which
doesn’t work with cables.

It is very interesting.
