A circuit is a path for electricity to flow and contains an energy source, loads, and conductors connecting them. There are two main types of circuits: a series circuit where all components are connected one after the other so current flows through each in sequence, and a parallel circuit where components are connected side by side so current divides and flows through each component simultaneously.
