DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for inspection and verification of all Electrical / Mechanical works in accordance with established
procedures and Inspection & test Plan (ITP) to confirm compliance with Contract documents, drawings and
specifications.
2. Review Construction Method Statements, Procedures, and ITP’s to ensure they meet project specifications and
requirements.
Identify any outstanding procedures and ITP’s, help prepare and finalize the additional documents.
Monitor and verify drawings used by the construction team are up to date and coded.
To be familiar with the inspection and testing activities such as initial rough in Inspections, Hydro test
and pressure test, duct installation and insulation. Cable tray installation, cable details bends, joints
and terminations
To be aware of safety and environmental issues for the construction works and comply with Project
requirements.
Monitoring look-ahead schedule and processing of work inspection requests to the Engineer, ensuring
documentation and attachments are complete.
Inspect works and witness testing as per Hold, Witness and Surveillance points identified in the
approved ITP.
Coordinating and conducting formal inspection and testing of the works to the ITP requirements, with
the subcontractors, construction management, testing agencies, the Engineer and the Client’s
representative(s).
Material receiving inspections. Monitoring of handling, storage and protection of the products.
Review material certification for project material to ensure it meets project specifications, and check
that it corresponds to actual material supplied as per the Material Submittal Approved.
Interfacing and coordinating works inspections with other disciplines, departments and QC staff, report
conflicts and assist in resolution of them.
Attending QC inspection tours and system walk down inspections.
Daily report and records of inspection status, and comments requiring correction / completion.
Report to QA/QC managers and construction management team on the comments and any day to day
quality issues.
Identify any non-conformances and any issues that may adversely affect the works, discuss with the
Construction team and report/recommend solutions.
Taking part in the definition of the corrective actions and ensuring the correct implementation of the
resolution of any non-conformity.
Following up inspection comments to confirm that they are addressed, responses are completed and
compliance with the contract documents. Verification of closing out QAN’s and NCR’s with
Engineer‘s close out.
Carry out progressive partial turnover punch list items to ensure that the works are completed to the
fullest extent possible prior to acceptance.
Monitoring clearance of punch list items, notifying and attending clearance inspections.
Ensuring that records are obtained from Engineer’s inspections and from the Subcontractors.
Forwarding to QA/QC department files for Project records.

Duties& Responsibilities
Ensure that contractor understands the contract documents including drawings / specs, phase plans, MEP
systems interrelationships, workflow & schedule
Address problems that might develop, between consultant / subcontractors
Coordinate with consultant on reviews for shop drawings, MEP related designs, HVAC, Fire
Alarm/Fighting & provide solution options
Assist in MEP,HVAC/Fire Fighting submittals/comments the submittals Log post all MEP changes in to
Field drawing
Review scope of works for contractor including budgeting & justification of MEP change work order
Review installation of MEP, HVAC, Fire Alarm / Fighting works
Direct, monitor & control MEP contractor activities.
Coordinate & manage MEP related materials, systems & shop drawings submittals.
Liaison with MEP consultant, engineers, subcontractors & concerned.
Ensure MEP Subcontractors adhere with relevant Quality records /regulations including safety.
Review the minutes of meetings of consultant. Provide cost estimate support for maintenance projects
Monitor & report MEP work progress, Review drawings submitted by main contractor & verify bill of
quantities.
Review contractor monthly progress valuation of MEP work prior to invoicing.
Verify contractor valuation invoices, Test & assist commissioning of MEP equipment.
