- #3 Emphasize how EHR use continues to grow among different organizations and will be necessary to stay competitive in the educational field. Many schools and other organizations serving health and wellness needs have adopted electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- #4 Emphasize how EHR systems will create more time in serving patients/students and less time gathering information due to organization and efficiency. These systems allow the staff to prepare in advance all of the medical information required before their appointments which saves time (Ventura & Battan, 2011). (EHR) have been linked to reduced costs, fewer medical errors, and improved patient care (Hitt & Tambe, 2016).
- #5 Emphasize how using this technology will help us serve our parents and students more efficiently by the increase in communication and convenience in sharing important information. An (EHR) could help our district by increasing convenience of sharing records between schools when students switch schools in the district. Help with the organization of our medical and health records which would increase accessibility for those that are authorized and need this information. Improve convenience and communication with parents so that they can help in the process of keeping these records up to date. Improve communication to teachers when they should be aware of medical issues to improve prevention plans and help them to handle emergencies more efficiently.
- #6 Emphasize health fusions quality for cost makes the most sense. I Propose that we use Health fusion Media Touch (Health fusion, 2014). Health fusion has a lower start up cost than it’s competitors. Health fusion can be adapted to fit the specific needs of our organization. Health fusion can be accessed anywhere and on any device. Integration of Health fusion only needs one (EHR) software partner. Health fusion is MU certified Meaningful use is built into the system which makes your organization eligible for incentives which will save money.
- #7 Emphasize that change does take some time and money up front, but the long term effects will be well worth it.
- #8 Emphasize the adaptability of this technology to help us all be more efficient and save us precious time. Our staff at Alpine school district are excited and ready to improve the quality of care of our students through the use of electronic health records. the incentives through MU are already built in, and the lower costs of Health fusion makes this plan the most affordable (Health fusion, 2014). Over the long term this (EHR) should save money. This software can be adapted to meet our goals.
- #9 Emphasize the significant savings of Health fusion compared to their competitors. Our goals include: Increasing the efficiency and convenience of our quality care through (EHR) systems. Keeping our records current, accurate, and accessible to those authorized to use them. Increase communication among health care workers, teachers, and parents. Increase the workflow for the staff, and overall quality of care for our students.

EHR and EMR records have several benefits in helping us meet our health care goals at Alpine school district. The Health fusion media touch vendor would be a great choice to help us meet our goals. This system is also cost effective and in compliance with Meaningful use. Meaningful use criteria aids in helping staff utilize the system (King & Jamoom, 2014). By using this system we could improve the efficiency, convenience, and overall quality of care that we provide for our students.
