• Performs Calibration and Installation of controllers, ECM, AVR, solenoid valves and
HMI control panels on generators & other Cummins engine driven equipment.
• Performs load analysis, Complete Installation and Commissioning of new generators
from start to full operations.
• Installation of relays, MPU, speed sensors, level sensors, pressure sensor etc.

Responsibilities:
• Shift Operation & maintenance of Automatic synchronized Caterpillar Diesel, Dual-fuel
(3x2MW, 400V, 2500KVA) and Gas generators (2x1.6MW, 11KV, 2000KVA), generating
8MW Capacity and Steam Boilers (500kw, 6tonnes).
• Continuous monitoring and hourly checks and recording of gensets operational
parameters such as; energy and fuel consumption, KW loads, gas pressure, fuel tanks
level, water & oil level, engines sound, temperature, pressure, leakages etc and priority
switching of Generators base on load demands.
• Performs diagnostics, troubleshooting, Cylinder cut-out Testing, entering of injector codes
and check on engine’s performance with use of computer software (Caterpillar ET).
• Performs routine maintenance and breakdown Maintenance of Caterpillar 3516 diesel &
gas generator sets, steam boilers and its auxiliaries and ensure that all standby engines
are in operable condition.
• Monitoring of Flue Gas Valve, Feed Water level and pressure of the steam boilers.
• Performs Major & Minor Overhaul, Valve lash setting of generator with team of
expatriate and Nigerian Engineers
• Installation and maintenance of various Electrical devices, such as HV &LV relays,
transformers, Electric Motors, Frequency converters, Circuit Breakers, Control Panels,
PLC, AVR, Sensors, Flow meters and Level Switches.
• Programming & installation of Digital Voltage Regulator (AVR or CDVR) & Rectifiers
• Performs Operation & Maintenance of Siemens S7 PLC, Simatic HMI (touch screen),
Woodward EasyGen, Beckhoff Dual-fuel HMI and CAT EMCPcontrol panels.
AS SUPERVISOR:
• Decision making and overall coordination of the operational activities (regular start-up,
shut-down of some equipments) according to the specific situation together with the
Operations manager and field operators as per services agreement and contract.
• Ensure the accomplishment of the Predictive and Preventive maintenance plans and also
ensures that all standby engines are in operable condition & failures of any equipment are
thoroughly investigated to avoid recurrence.
• Maintains good relationships with the customer to manage the accommodation of the
personnel (Expatriates & Nationals) coming in & out of the site as required.
• Manage Spare Parts inventory, custody of hand tools, parts & facilities. Ensure proper
arrangement of the Spare parts room.
• Ensures that Daily, weekly and Monthly activities and situation reports are accurate,
concise and sent on time to all required parties.
• Submits Work Orders, Permits & Monthly Consumables, Technical Reports, Safety
Toolbox Meetings and any HSE documentation that may be requested.
Current Achievement:
• Generated power for Nigerian Breweries plc for over 4yrs without unplanned
power outage or complete blackout. (August 2012- October 2016).
• Saved maintenance cost by attaining over 3500 Running Hours for Cat fuel filters
with regular fuel/water separator maintenance and frequent fuel testing.
• Increased gensets reliability & availability to 99% by reducing downtime.
