Reasons for learners to misbehave
Iqbal Hussain (Dec,13; 2017)
They are bored
They don’t know the
purpose of your
presentation
They don’t understand
how the information
that you are delivering
applies to them
Instruction is
uninteresting
The pace of instruction
is incorrect (too fast or
too slow).
Not enough
interaction between
and among peers
They find the content
unrelatable
Classroom management
strategies
A good classroom management is essential for efficient
teaching. Aalia Sabahat (Apr, 10; 2015)
• Inform learners the type of classroom you ideally want in the
beginning of the year.
• Establish a set of rules and regulations to be followed in the
classroom with the assistance of the learners.
• Clearly inform the consequences that will follow if rules are
not followed.
• Plan more inclusive lessons that will require learners to
engage with the instructor and with peers.
• Include things that currently draw the interest of learners in
your lessons e.g use of technology.
• Always encourage initiative
• Give misbehaving learners leadership roles such as class
monitor.
• Give praise and rewards where necessary.
Tips of establishing a manageable
