This document provides a framework for evaluating media foundation portfolios by asking a series of questions about how the portfolio uses or challenges real media conventions, represents social groups, might be distributed, addresses audiences, production technologies, and lessons learned from preliminary tasks to the final product. The questions cover mastheads, cover lines, tag lines, extra information, social representation, potential distributing institutions, audience engagement, style guides, color schemes, technologies, and progression of learning.
