Mientras, las instituciones de educación reglada modifican sus sistemas de enseñanza incluyendo estas nuevas herramientas que les permiten conectar con los estudiantes de una manera mucho más directa. Representante de Mozilla e iniciadora de Mozilla Algeria, una comunidad local. Traditionally evidence in education has been captured through text and writing. This has limited how evidence could be represented, especially when demonstrating practical skills and applied knowledge.
Eportfolios and mobile devices are being used to visually capture evidence within the Australian vocational education and training (VET) sector to demonstrate people’s exiting skills when entering a course or while remaining in the workplace.
Capturing evidence through video, audio and digital images is allowing the better representation of a person’s skills and ability, thus providing cost saving to learners, employers and training providers and enabling people who are less text-literate to gain a qualification.
This evidence collection method is also allowing individuals to develop their digital literacy skills by being supported to effectively represent themselves online. This evidence is also being re-used and re-purposed by learners to gain employment or a promotion; entry into higher qualifications and/or gain credit/articulation; as well as applying for grants or entering exhibitions.

This presentation provides an overview of what is required to implement, support and facilitate workplace online training based on case studies and resources already being used to support this type of training.

This a presentation I gave as part of the IAMSE Web Seminar series on 6 February 2014 looking at MOOCs and exploring their potential in health sciences education.
Tech future ready
This document discusses key aspects of technology education including teaching, learning, leadership, assessment, and infrastructure. It emphasizes that as technology brings more opportunities, students must learn beyond the classroom with collaboration among educators. A balance of formative and summative assessments is needed to plan instruction. Solid infrastructure is required to support technology learning for all students. Ultimately, the future readiness of students depends on present commitments to their technological education.

También descubrimos las posibilidades que se abren en el campo de la comunicación gracias a Telefónica I+D, y aprendimos sobre los avances que están desarrollando sobre GPRS con la placa Arduino. También nos adentramos en el mundo de los emprendedores con Wayra, una nueva iniciativa que está permitiendo que grandes proyectos puedan salir adelante para convertirse, quizás, en las empresas punteras de los próximos años.
Ponentes: Francisco Javier Zorzano Mier lidera la iniciativa P-Lego de Telefónica I+D. En esta iniciativa se trabaja para dar a la comunidad de hardware abierto facilidades para conectar sus creaciones a Internet a través de las redes móviles. Este trabajo documenta el proceso de creación de una “Marca Personal” a través del uso de herramientas de “medios de comunicación social digitales” para directivos de servicios educativos. En la actualidad, la información que se presenta en perfiles de altos directivos de servicios educativos en las redes sociales digitales podría estar desaprovechando oportunidades y estrategias de comunicación organizacional, marketing, liderazgo, entre otras, porque carecen de la implementación de competencias digitales efectivas para el uso TICS. Por este motivo, se propone direccionar la forma como estos perfiles se presentan en medios sociales digitales haciendo uso de herramientas de medición que muestran grados de influencia en determinados ecosistemas digitales y que podrían ampliarles el concepto de “gerenciar-se” en un panorama digital de los servicios de la educación.

We talk about the teacher as a connected and collaborative global learner, but we need to redesign the learning paradigm further to connect students in K-12 more independently with others. The role of the teacher as activator or ‘learning concierge’ for student network building is crucial. Knowledge construction via a non-hierarchical approach means the student must also learn to take responsibility for professional learning modes and not be reliant on the teacher as the conduit.

En 1998 comienza a funcionar en Huelva, en 2001 en Málaga, y en 2009 se produce la internacionalización del proyecto con Bootes-3 en Nueva Zelanda.
