April 4, 2010 Christ is Risen He is Risen indeed.
Before time was, God is. Creator of all that exists, God made men and women in His likeness and image. He made us to be ruler over the earth, and to have fellowship with Him .
Eight souls were saved.
Even the best of men fell into sin. Jeremiah 17 9 The heart is deceitful above all things , and desperately wicked: who can know it?
The penalty for sin was death . The only thing that would cleanse man from sin was the shed blood of One without sin . God loved the world so much that He gave His Son to die for the sins of men that we can be saved.
He lived His life as a man , but with one exception -- He never once sinned . When He was about 30 years old, He began His ministry as the Messiah or Christ, the Savior of mankind. He preached the Word of God. He healed the sick and raised the dead. The lame walked , the dumb talked , the deaf were made to hear , devils were cast out , and to the poor the gospel was preached.
He chose twelve men to be His disciples ; ordinary men with no special traits : fishermen , a tax collector , a former disciple of His cousin John, just ordinary men. They followed Him and He taught them the Truth. As time went by others began to follow Him and learn of Him. He cast seven devils out of a woman -- Mary Magdalene . She followed Him and loved Him with her whole heart.
At one time He had thousands following Him and adoring Him, because He healed them and fed them. But they didn’t love Him and left Him when it became difficult and dangerous. He once told them : “Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek Me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.” John 6:26
You can always know the difference between true lovers of Christ and those who are lovers of themselves and just want the benefits. Those who love Jesus and are true followers don’t fall by the wayside as time goes by. They don't look back.
The religious leaders became jealous of Jesus. Jealousy led to fear and hatred.
Arrested in the Garden Convicted with false witnesses Mocked, beaten, spit on
Crucified, shedding His innocent Blood for the sins of mankind. Most people deserted Jesus. Matt 27:55-56 And many women were there beholding afar off, which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto Him: Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedee's children.
Three visible things happened when Jesus died: The veil of the temple was torn from the top to the bottom. People could now freely come to God in the Name of His Son, Jesus, the Christ. There was a great earthquake . The world was changed forever! Many graves were opened and, after His resurrection, Many bodies of saints who had died -- rose from the dead.
Matthew 28 1 In the end of the Sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. 2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from Heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. 3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: 4 And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men .
5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. 6 He is not here: for He is risen , as He said . Come, see the place where the Lord lay. 7 And go quickly, and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead; and, behold, He goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see Him: lo, I have told you. The last to leave on Friday; The first ones there on Sunday morning; The first to tell the Good News.
8 And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring His disciples Word. 9 And as they went to tell His disciples, behold, Jesus met them , saying, All hail. And they came and held Him by the feet, and worshipped Him. 10 Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell My brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see Me.
Jesus Christ , the Son of Almighty God Died , shedding His Blood to wash away our sins . He was buried in a borrowed tomb. Raised by the Holy Spirit on the third day. He was seen and known by hundreds of people after His Resurrection.
If you believe this message, simply call out to God in the Name of His Son, Jesus. He will forgive your sins and save you from hell. You will be a son or daughter of God forevermore .
