The First
Reading
A reading from the Acts of
the Apostles.
Peter addressed Cornelius
and his household: ‘You must
have heard about the recent
happenings in Judaea; about
Jesus of Nazareth and how
he began in Galilee, after
John had been preaching
baptism. God had anointed
him with the Holy Spirit and
with power, and because God
was with him, Jesus went
about doing good and curing
all who had fallen into the
power of the devil. Now I, and
those with me, can witness to
everything he did throughout
the countryside of Judaea
and in Jerusalem itself: and
also to the fact that they
killed him by hanging him on
a tree, yet three days
afterwards God raised him to
life and allowed him to be
seen, not by the whole people
but only by certain witnesses
God had chosen beforehand.
Now we are those
witnesses – we have eaten
and drunk with him after his
resurrection from the dead –
and he has ordered us to
proclaim this to his people
and to tell them that God has
appointed him to judge
everyone, alive or dead. It is
to him that all the prophets
bear this witness: that all who
believe in Jesus will have
their sins forgiven through
his name.’
The Word
of the Lord.
Thanks be to God.
This day was made
by the Lord: we
rejoice and are
glad.
The Psalm
Give thanks to the Lord for he is
good,
for his love has no end.
Let the sons of Israel say:
‘His love has no end.’
The Psalm
This day was made
by the Lord: we
rejoice and are
glad.
The Psalm
The Lord’s right hand has
triumphed;
his right hand raised me up.
I shall not die, I shall live
and recount his deeds.
The Psalm
This day was made
by the Lord: we
rejoice and are
glad.
The Psalm
The stone which the builders
rejected
has become the corner stone.
This is the work of the Lord,
a marvel in our eyes.
The Psalm
This day was made
by the Lord: we
rejoice and are
glad.
The Psalm
The Second
Reading
A reading from the letter of
St Paul to the Colossians
Since you have been brought
back to true life with Christ,
you must look for the things
that are in heaven, where
Christ is, sitting at God’s
right hand. Let your thoughts
be on heavenly things, not
on the things that are on the
earth, because you have
died, and now the life you
have is hidden with Christ in
God. But when Christ is
revealed – and he is your
life – you too will be
revealed in all your glory
with him.
The Word
of the Lord.
Thanks be to God.
Christians, to the Paschal
Victim offer sacrifice and
praise. The sheep are
ransomed by the Lamb;
and Christ, the undefiled,
hath sinners to his Father
reconciled.
Death with life contended:
combat strangely ended!
Life’s own Champion, slain,
yet lives to reign.
Tell us, Mary:
say what thou didst see
upon the way.
The tomb the Living did
enclose;
I saw Christ’s glory as he
rose!
The angels there attesting;
shroud with grave-clothes
resting. Christ, my hope, has
risen: he goes before you
into Galilee.
That Christ is truly risen
from the dead we know.
Victorious king, thy mercy
show!
Alleluia, alleluia!
Christ, our Passover, has been
sacrificed: let us celebrate the
feast then, in the Lord.
Alleluia!
Gospel Acclamation
The Lord be with you.
And with your spirit.
A Reading from the holy Gospel
according to John.
Glory to you, O Lord.
The Gospel
It was very early on the first
day of the week and still
dark, when Mary of Magdala
came to the tomb. She saw
that the stone had been
moved away from the tomb
and came running to Simon
Peter and the other disciple,
the one Jesus loved. ‘They
have taken the Lord out of
the tomb’ she said ‘and we
don’t know where they have
put him.’
So Peter set out with the
other disciple to go to the
tomb. They ran together, but
the other disciple, running
faster than Peter, reached
the tomb first; he bent down
and saw the linen cloths
lying on
the ground, but did not go in.
Simon Peter who was
following now came up, went
right into the tomb, saw the
linen cloths on the ground,
and also the cloth that had
been over his head; this was
not with the linen cloths but
rolled up in a place by itself.
Then the other disciple who
had reached the tomb first
also went in; he saw and he
believed. Till this moment
they had failed to understand
the teaching of scripture,
that he must rise from the
dead.
The Gospel of the Lord
Praise to you, Lord
Jesus Christ.

RENEWAL OF BAPTISMAL
PROMISES
My dear sisters and brothers, we
were one in darkness, but in his
great love for us, God has called
us out of darkness into the
wonderful light of his Son. We
must live as children of the light.
The effects of the light are seen
in goodness, right living and
truth.
Reflecting the Easter light
Now that we have completed our
Lenten exercises, and the light
of Easter has dawned for us, let
us renew our belief in the light of
Christ, and commit ourselves to
follow it more faithfully. This,
after all, is what we promised at
baptism when this precious light
was first kindled in our hearts.
Response: I do
Do you believe in God the
Father, source of all light, and in
his love for you?
Do you reject the many false
gods the world offers for you
adoration?
Do you reject Satan, the prince
of darkness?
Do you reject the works of
darkness, namely, sin?
Do you reject the false lights by
which Satan seeks to lure you
from the path of the Gospel:
greed for material things, lust for
pleasure, craving for power and
popularity?
Do you believe in Christ, the
light of the world?
Do you believe that by rising
from the dead Christ has
overcome the darkness of death,
and that we can do the same if
we have faith in him?
Do you believe in the Holy Spirit
who dwells within us, consoling
us in times of sorrow,
strengthening us in time of
difficulty, and binding us
together in the love of Christ?
Do you believe in the Church,
the community of believers in
the light, brothers and sister in
the Lord?
Do you believe that we serve
Jesus when we serve one
another?
Do you believe that Mary, the
Mother of Jesus, is also our
Mother, and the Mother of the
entire Christian community?
And now, my sisters and brothers, I
say to you in the name of Christ:
Hold up your heads, never afraid of
professing this faith in Jesus.
May the Lord bless you and keep
you faithful.
Action: small bowls of Easter
water are passed from one
person to the next one, bless
yourselves: In the name of the
Father, and of the Son and of the
Holy Spirit. Amen.
Let us pray: God of love and mercy,
through the resurrection of your Son,
you have kindled in our hearts the hope
of eternal life. Guard this hope with your
grace, and bring it to fulfilment in the
kingdom of heaven. We ask this through
Christ our Lord.
Celebrant: Lord, you have allowed
us to share in the joy of your
Resurrection. Help us to put into
action in our lives the baptism
that we have received in faith, as
we remember the needs of our
Church and our community
1. Let us pray for Francis, our Pope,
and Vincent, our Cardinal, and for
priests, parents and catechists and all
those who form people in faith, may
they deepen their own faith through
those whom they meet. Lord, hear us.
All: Lord graciously hear us
2. Let us pray for Daniel, Chriscy,
Jerse, Precious, Mercy, Franca, Sara,
Xhejson, Sara, that have been
baptised and Dreenden, Gladys,
Lisenko, James, Adelina, Ivandro,
Travis who are received into the
Church. Lord, in your mercy.
All: Lord graciously hear us
3. We pray for ourselves, the
community of the resurrection;
filled with the Spirit, may we
recount the deeds of the Lord and
lead others to believe in him.
Lord, hear us.
All: Lord graciously hear us
4. Let us pray for those who are
searching for the Living God, that
the Lord will choose to reveal
himself to them and grant them
Easter joy in his presence.
Lord, hear us
All: Lord graciously hear us
5. We pray for the new members
of our Church, that they may they
grow in love and understanding of
the mystery of Easter.
Lord hear us.
All: Lord graciously hear us
6. We pray for the sick and those
who care for them, may the risen
Christ show them his love and
give them strength to bear their
sorrows. Lord hear us.
All: Lord graciously hear us
7. We pray for those who have
died, that they may rise with
Christ to everlasting glory.
Lord hear us.
All: Lord graciously hear us
8. In silence we pray with all the
saints who share in the power of
the resurrection, asking for our
own needs and those that are
mentioned in our Intentions Book.
We join our prayers with
Mary, the joyful Queen of
Heaven, as we say:
Hail Mary, full of grace. The
Lord is with thee. Blessed
art thou among
women, and blessed
is the fruit of
thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother
of God, pray for us
sinners, now and
at the hour of our
death. Amen.
Celebrant: Almighty God, hear your
people who gather today to celebrate
the glorious resurrection of Christ
your Son. Lead us from this
celebration to the joys which have no
end. We ask this through that same
Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation,
for through your goodness we have
received the bread we offer you: fruit of
the earth and work of human hands, it will
become for us the bread of life.
All: Blessed be God for ever.
Presentation and preparation of the
Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation,
for through your goodness we have
received the wine we offer you: fruit of the
vine and work of human hands it will
become our spiritual drink.
All: Blessed be God for ever.
Presentation and preparation of the
Pray, my brothers and sisters,
that my sacrifice and yours may
be acceptable to God, the
almighty Father.
All: May the Lord accept the
sacrifice at your hands, for
the praise and glory of his
name, for our good, and the
good of all his holy Church.
Exultant with paschal gladness,
O Lord, we offer the sacrifice by
which your Church is
wondrously reborn and
nourished. Through Christ our
Lord. All: Amen
Prayer over the offerings
The Lord be with you.
All: And with your spirit.
Lift up your hearts.
All: We lift them up to the Lord.
Let us give thanks to the Lord, our God.
All: It is right and just.Preface Dialogue
Holy, holy, holy Lord God of
hosts, Heaven and earth are full
of your glory. Hosanna in the
highest. Blessed is he who
comes in the name of the Lord.
Hosanna in the highest.
He is Lord, he is Lord,
he is risen from the dead, and
he is Lord! Every knee shall
bow, every tongue confess that
Jesus Christ is Lord.
Memorial Acclamation
Through him, and with him, and in
him, O God, almighty Father, in the
unity of the Holy Spirit, all glory and
honour is yours, for ever and ever.
All: Amen!
Our Father who
art in heaven,
hallowed be
thy name, thy
kingdom come,
thy will be
done, on earth
as it is in
heaven.
Give us this day
our daily bread.
And forgive us
our trespasses
as we forgive
those who
trespass
against us.
And lead us not
into temptation,
but deliver us
from evil.
Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every
evil, graciously grant peace in our days,
that, by the help of your mercy, we may
be always free from sin and safe from
all distress, and useless worry, as we
await the blessed hope and the coming
of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.
All: For the kingdom, the
power, and the glory are
yours, now and forever.
Lord Jesus Christ, who said
to your Apostles, Peace I
leave you, my peace I give
you, look not on our sins, but
on the faith of your Church,
and graciously grant her
peace and unity in
accordance with your will.
Who live and reign for ever
and ever. Amen
The Peace of the Lord be always with you.
And with your spirit.
Let us offer one another a
sign of peace
Lamb of God, you take away the sins
of the world: have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, you take away the sins
of the world: have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, you take away the sins
of the world: grant us peace.Fraction of the Bread
Behold the Lamb of God, behold
him who takes away the sins of
the world. Blessed are those
called to the supper of the
Lamb.
Invitation to Communion
All: Lord, I am not worthy
that you should enter under
my roof, but only say the
word and my soul shall be
healed.
Invitation to Communion
Look upon your Church, O God, with
unfailing love and favour, so that,
renewed by the paschal mysteries, she
may come to the glory of the
resurrection. Through Christ our Lord.
All: Amen

The Lord be with you.
All: And with your spirit.
