This study compares the physical properties of five cement brands in Nigeria: Ashaka, Sokoto, Dangote, Rhino, and Elephant. The investigation included tests for fineness, consistency, soundness, setting times, and compressive strength, revealing that all brands met the required standards except for Elephant cement, which was deemed unsuitable for structural concrete due to its low compressive strength. The findings highlight the importance of selecting appropriate cement types for construction work to ensure structural integrity.
