This document summarizes a project analyzing the structural design of an offshore wind turbine supporting structure. It describes the objectives to conduct structural analysis and design a suitable structure for a 1.5 MW turbine located off Rameshwaram, India. The methodology involved load estimation, soil-structure interaction analysis, structural analysis and design using software like FAST and USFOS. The results showed the design met safety criteria for displacement and interaction ratio. Wind speed distribution and average power production were also determined for the site. In conclusion, offshore wind potential was indicated for India and the proposed design was found structurally feasible pending further cost analysis.
