For a magazine double page spread, the writer plans to use a large eye-catching image to entice readers. They will include bold, simple text in columns to introduce the artist being interviewed. A controversial quote from the artist in colorful large writing is intended to grip readers and make them want to learn more about the person from the standfirst and text.

1. Draft text
For my double page spread I will have a large image which will entice the reader to buy the
magazine. The image is the first thing the audience see so this will lead to them reader and
looking at the text so the text would need to be bold and simple to read. A double page
spread is usually about an interview that took place which an artist, I will include a quote
from them and put it in big colourful writing. This quote would have to be controversial or
shocking so that it grips the reader. I will have a stand first that would introduce the artist to
the reader if they are not familiar with them just from the image. The text is the main part
of the double page spread so I will have to put it into columns so that the text appears tidy
towards the reader. I will also have to keep the text in all the same font and size apart from
the headline which will be in a larger size and maybe a bolder font.
