The document provides details about future construction and renovations for a science building and connecting buildings. It includes descriptions and photos of areas that will become new entrances, covered walkways, courtyards, labs, classrooms, offices, and more. Renovations will update mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, add new rooms for various specialties, and improve connectivity between buildings.

New covered walkway and building entrance upgrades science and anatomy labs
1. Future new entrance into existing science bldg, connecting the two bldgs. with covered walkway from the anatomy
labs. Rebar Cages are for walkway columns
2. Entrance to exit foyer at anatomy labs & cadaver rooms.
Rebar Cages shown are for columns at new covered walkway connecting two bldgs.
(Note width of door here is 4’-4”)
6. North side of bldg., looking at doors to new electrical room, and beyond that the door to the exit foyer leading to
science/chemistry labs. Covered walkway will connect the new bldg. to old bldg.
7. Interior shot looking at the exit door from foyer at chemistry/science labs to the new covered walkway connecting
to existing bldg.
13. Also student restrooms, looking into space that will become the custodial, fire riser, and vestibule spaces. You can
see the waste lines for sinks & a 4” wall cleanout. A sliver of door 102 can be seen to the left.
14. Conduit stub ups inside future electrical sub panel room. Just beyond, to the right, is the door from meeting room to
exterior of bldg.
16. Another shot of the Mens & Womens Faculty Toilets: the in-wall plumbing.
17. This is the cadaver room (closest) and the cat storage room (beyond). These rooms both have floor drains and
depressed slabs, and will get ceramic tile flooring. The cat storage room has build up concrete bases for cabinets to
sit on.
18. This is the anatomy / physiology lab. The round protrusions are for the duct that will run up into the center of each
of the student work tables.
19. Looking at the exterior wall of Meeting room and adjacent Dean’s office. These windows will look out onto the
courtyard area between the two buildings
20. This opening will become the sliding door entrance at south side of bldg., leading into the corridor to simulation
center and anatomy labs
21. This space will be home to the Simulation center, with its SIM labs, observation rooms and control booths. Interior
walls will be framed to create each room. The door seen to the left is door 137B
22. Also of the Simulation Center space, looking to the north. The opening in the CMU wall is the space shown as the
study area, with hall/corridor beyond.
23. Plumbing for the Patient Toilet, located off the patient room SIM lab.
24. This is the main entrance hall, looking out toward where the revolving door entrance will be. To the right is the
entrance area to the student restrooms.
25. In the main entry hall, this will be the home of two display cases, set back into an alcove space. These will be to
the right, as a person enters through the revolving door.
26. Future home of the nursing faculty offices & copy room. Door seen straight ahead is the door to the maintenance
storage room.
27. Also in the future faculty offices. Right ahead will be the space for rooms designated as 125 and 124 on plans, with
exterior door 126B seen to the right.
To the left, where all the scaffolding is placed, is the location of new sliding entrance, door 127A
28. This is the future home of the new Nursing Fundamentals Lab. This space is adjacent to the faculty offices, and has
double doors connecting it to the beds & equipment room
29. Chemistry Lab space. Chemical balance room to the far right corner, and then chemistry lab adjacent. Doorway seen
to the right is the door for exit foyer
30. These are the stone columns that line corridor 127, between the science labs and the rotunda space. There will be
glass running between the columns along this wall, that will look out onto the courtyard space.
