 Medical procedures: Open heart surgeries, interventional cardiac cath procedures, TEE,……etc.
 Lab investigations : CBC, LFT’s, KFT’s, Thyroid profile, Lipid profile, BNP, CRP, Cardiac enzymes,….etc.
 Patient admission/dismiss : Patient perioperative care and preparation for cath or open heart surgeries.
 Medical record saving : Files and clinical patient charts are totally scanned (Soft-copy) and hard copy.
 Output
 Patient satisfaction: measured by continuous patient Survey
 Success /failure of medical procedures: Measured on quarter annual statistics.
 Complete of medical treatment: Assessed by statistics and analysis.
 Mortality rate: Assessed by statistics and analysis of the mortality rate per year.

MANAGERIAL FUNCTIONS.
Planning: a process that is based on the analysis of the data and identify needs and assess
available resources and use this analysis in preparation for the change, according to the
objectives
Organizing: Management function that involves The process of determining , What tasks to be
done? Who is to do them? And how tasks to be grouped.
Leading: Management function that involves motivation, influence teams of work, select most
effective communicating channels and resolving conflicts.
Controlling: Management function that involves Monitoring actual performance, Taking
corrective actions if necessary and comparing actual performance to standards

Planning Forecasting
Planning predicts what the future should
look like, must rely on data analysis
,statistics, indicators, reports, estimation of
needs (budgets) and certain information
Forecasting can be described as predicting
what the future will look like, may rely on
un certain information.

Formal Planning Informal Planning
It is suitable for when dealing with large
organization , characterized by complexity of the
composition ,many managers of different
departments share in doing it , the responsibility
on the ceo of organization ,accountability and cant
change easily must be documented, reports about
the progress in routine meetings.
It is suitable when dealing with small organization, it
also done by the owner who plan for extension or
buying new equipment ,usually not documented
and not organized ,no body will judge the complete
of the plan or not and can change the plan in any
time he/she wants.
Operational plans Strategic plans
Generally concern of short term objectives and daily
routine activities caring for every single process and
steps for applying it (specify the details of how an
organization's overall objectives are to be achieved.
Generally involve the vision of the organization in
the future organization wide establish over all
objectives and position concern for the vision and
doesn’t concern for details at all and usually done
by the top managers or the governmental policies.

  • 3.  Inputs  HR resources: All health care providers include physicians, nurses, clinical pharmacists,….etc.  Organizing policies: Internal policies and procedures, safety, infection control,…..etc.  Organizations buildings, equipment: Reception, Outpatient clinics, OR room, Research center,…etc.  Processing  Medical procedures: Open heart surgeries, interventional cardiac cath procedures, TEE,……etc.  Lab investigations : CBC, LFT’s, KFT’s, Thyroid profile, Lipid profile, BNP, CRP, Cardiac enzymes,….etc.  Patient admission/dismiss : Patient perioperative care and preparation for cath or open heart surgeries.  Medical record saving : Files and clinical patient charts are totally scanned (Soft-copy) and hard copy.  Output  Patient satisfaction: measured by continuous patient Survey  Success /failure of medical procedures: Measured on quarter annual statistics.  Complete of medical treatment: Assessed by statistics and analysis.  Mortality rate: Assessed by statistics and analysis of the mortality rate per year. 3

MANAGERIAL FUNCTIONS. Planning: a process that is based on the analysis of the data and identify needs and assess available resources and use this analysis in preparation for the change, according to the objectives Organizing: Management function that involves The process of determining , What tasks to be done? Who is to do them? And how tasks to be grouped. Leading: Management function that involves motivation, influence teams of work, select most effective communicating channels and resolving conflicts. Controlling: Management function that involves Monitoring actual performance, Taking corrective actions if necessary and comparing actual performance to standards 5

Planning Forecasting Planning predicts what the future should look like, must rely on data analysis ,statistics, indicators, reports, estimation of needs (budgets) and certain information Forecasting can be described as predicting what the future will look like, may rely on un certain information. 6 Formal Planning Informal Planning It is suitable for when dealing with large organization , characterized by complexity of the composition ,many managers of different departments share in doing it , the responsibility on the ceo of organization ,accountability and cant change easily must be documented, reports about the progress in routine meetings. It is suitable when dealing with small organization, it also done by the owner who plan for extension or buying new equipment ,usually not documented and not organized ,no body will judge the complete of the plan or not and can change the plan in any time he/she wants.

Operational plans Strategic plans Generally concern of short term objectives and daily routine activities caring for every single process and steps for applying it (specify the details of how an organization's overall objectives are to be achieved. Generally involve the vision of the organization in the future organization wide establish over all objectives and position concern for the vision and doesn’t concern for details at all and usually done by the top managers or the governmental policies. 7
